Elise had planned her morning thoroughly the day before. From when she got up to what she would wear. A sense of satisfaction in her routine significantly brightened up her mood, painting her expression with a fond smile when she woke up. Detention or not, she took happiness in her planning. She knew full well that deep down she was terrified. Not once had she received detention and it wasn't something she ever planned to either! Even worse, she was prefect and innocent students were also getting punished for a crime they didn't commit. Unfortunetely, Elise was unable to say anything to defend the innocent students.

Dressing herself in a dark purple jumper, grey plaid skirt and black low heel ankle boots, Elise bolted from her room. Luckily, her clothes were some of her older items and it didn't bother her to much if she dirtied them repotting mandrakes. Elise hurried from her dorm room, her hair gathered in her hands as she twisted it into a high ponytail. She was quick into the Hall, grabbing herself a few pieces of toast to nibble on before bolting back out. The toast warmed her hands and filled her stomach as she headed to the greenhouse, only pausing for brief conversations with the occasional Ravenclaw student.

It didn't take her long to get there or to finish her small breakfast. Stepping inside, Elise peered inside. No one else seemed to be present yet, something that had Elise sighing in relief. She only knew her dear cousin Effie, the other two were not people who she had interacted with before. Elise had heard of them from others - especially Morrigan, but she tried to keep herself unbiased. Reaching up, Elise stretched her arms above her head with a small yawn. Now, Elise just had to wait for the other three students to turn up so they could divide the work and get it started.

"This is not fucking serious..."

Sanguine stared, wide-eyed, at the paper in her hands that dictated her detention. However, to her, this was far worse than any normal detention because she was paired with with Joan and Cyrus. Two people that she did not plan to see for at least a few days if she could! An irritated groan passed her lips as she continued to stare at the paper, dark black ink painting the crumpling page. It took her a moment or two to recall who exactly Jasper and Ivar was. She was pretty confident Jasper was the twin of the ever-irritating Cyrus?...Who was Ivar again though?

Her fustration increased quickly and slowly the paper was crumpled into a ball in her fist. Not only was she stuck with someone she wronged, she was also stuck with one who was just irritating as hell and two she wasn't even sure who were! Sanguine could only concluded that some diety out there hated her - or this was Karma for punching Joan. How else would be stuck in a group that had her practically ganged up upon.
Gritting her teeth, Sanguine stormed to the Hall to grab a chocolate croissant before heading to the Owlery, a vicious scowl on her lips - though her threatening appearence was ruined by the oversized croissant hanging between her teeth.

Unfortunetely, a younger stood stumbled into Sanguine, most likely as they were rushing to thier own detention. The worst part? Her croissant fell from her grip and onto the stone floor below. Taking in a sharp breath, Sanguine turned her glance to the apologising student as she tightened her jaw further. Oh how she wanted to just scream - it was her breakfast for god sake! However, she held her breath and just nodded at the girls apologies. When she was gone, Sanguine plucked her food from the floor and tossed it into a bin.

Now she was hungry and irritated

Heading into the owlery, Sanguine was obviously the first to arrive much to her displeasure. She just continued to grumble as she felt her stomach rumble, finding a step she settled herself down to sit with a huff. Lazily, Sanguine watched the owls above, her head propped in her hand as she mumbled to herself, her palm muffling her words.

"How the hell am I supposed to apologise to Lambert with all of her shitty friends here..."

Deborah Johnson
SEVENTH YEAR RAVENCLAW
"Great," Debbie sighed to herself as she stared at the list of detention groupings. She couldn't believe her luck. Not only was she grouped with Annie, whom she'd gotten into a bit of an argument with just the previous day, but she was also grouped up with her ex-boyfriend, Tasha.

When was the last time she had even spoken to Tasha? They had left things off on an awkward note when they broke up. Since then she'd been very adamant about avoiding him. It wasn't like she had any lingering feelings for the boy, at least she didn't think that was the case, but it was more like she didn't know how to act around him anymore after everything that had happened. She had said hurtful things too.

Tasha probably still remembered her every word.

There was no use trying to get out of this. The professors had made it crystal clear that changing groups would not be permitted, no matter the circumstance. No doubt this was to encourage everyone to work their problems out together. And if the newspaper was any reliable source to go by as far as the state of everyone's social life went, there were definitely a lot of problems.

Before long, Debbie reached the kitchen. It seemed she was the first to arrive, which wasn't a surprise. Breakfast had just ended, after all. In a few minutes, she'd be cooking lunch with Annie and Tasha.

If that wasn't recipe for disaster, Debbie didn't know what was.

Joan Lambert
SEVENTH YEAR GRYFFINDOR
Where was he? Just the previous night, Henry had agreed to meet up with Joan after breakfast. Breakfast was now ending, but her old friend was nowhere in sight. Was he still sleeping? Had Ivar and Tasha forgotten to wake him up?

There was only one thing Joan could do to appease her impatience a bit. Trailing after an unsuspecting first year Hufflepuff, she managed to locate the barrel entrance that led to the Hufflepuff basement. She watched from some distance away as the first year rhythmically tapped the barrel—two from the bottom, middle of the second row—which successfully caused the door to swing open and reveal a small passageway for the first year to crawl through.

Joan waited for a moment or two after the door had closed, then hurried to the barrel. She did the same rhythmic tapping ritual, smiling triumphantly to herself at her ingenuity, and waited for the lid to swing open.

A beat passed. The lid remained closed.

Frowning, Joan decided to try a second time. But as she was reaching for the barrel again, some sort of foul-smelling liquid tippled down from an unseen source, and in just a second, she was drenched in it.

"WHAT THE FUCK?!" Joan yelled at the top of her lungs, jumping in utter shock and almost slipping on the wet floor as she did so. "WHAT IS THIS SHIT?!"

She stared at the transparent liquid, then glared at the barrel.

"COME ON OUT, HENRY YOU LITTLE BASTARD. THIS ISN'T FUNNY!"

JUNIPER ANN MURRAY
Juniper tugged at the end of her clean shirt, not one of her favourites but still far to nice to be cleaning in. Something she shouldn't have to do, given she only just arrived back at the school yesterday morning! She released a breath as she scanned the names of those sharing her detention with. Even though she'd helped give suggestions for most of the groups, she hadn't gotten the chance to see her own."Perhaps this won't be so bad after all" She thought to herself, gazing at Gaunt's name.

This was the opportunity they had been waiting for, their chance to open the chamber of secrets. However, she doubted Gaunt would make it an easy task to complete. Juniper turned away from her door and stalked back over to her trunk, popping the leather buckles open and shoving it up. She hated unpacking, people got nosy then, besides, she always had her things organised and easy to find, at least for her. She moved aside her clothes and lifted out a wooden box, containing charms she'd spent the summer perfecting.

She drew out a silver locket, before closing the box and returning it to its place as she held up the locket before her. It was a simple oval shape with a serpent coiled up atop it, it had a simple little charm of temptation, she'd hoped to add something more harmful and leaving it for someone to find later on. However it had more use to her now. If she managed to get it to the Gaunt girl at the right time... "It's a shame Morrigan won't get to enjoy this with me," She murmured aloud, as she slipped the locket into her pocket and slammed her trunk closed before rising to her feet. She made her way from the Ravenclaw dorm, her mood brightened.

It seemed that Oliver was one of the first to arrive at the meeting point. The only other person around was no other than Lynn, whom Oliver instantly recognized from a distance. As always, a strange feeling overcame him whenever he saw Lynn. There was something about her that made him want to get close. Bloodlust. For some reason, this heightened whenever Lynn was around. It was enough to make him go insane even when he wasn't feeling particularly thirsty. It was all he could do not to feed on her during orchestra club practice.

It took a lot of energy to avoid her. A lot of willpower and self-consciousness. He couldn't even speak to her. It would just be too much. But how could he avoid her now, when they were the only two people around? When they had to work together, of all things.

Oliver stood as far away from Lynn as possible, keeping his gaze fixated on the numerous portraits hanging on the wall. Most of them were devoid of occupants. Pity. He could have used their company as diversion.

He hoped the others would get here soon.

Hearing footsteps approaching a distance off Lynn looked up. Watching Oliver come into her view she realized at that moment that he was once more... avoiding her. Pursing her lips Lynn returned to looking at her book. Thinking on him she wondered if he was just awkward, much like herself. Continuing to read for a moment she closed the book before looking over to him again. Watching him closely Lynn couldn't help but smirk as he seemed to focus on the painting around them. Looking to where he was fixated on Lynn noticed that the paintings were barren and never once had he looked to her.

Placing the book back into her bag she put her hands in her lap before finally deciding to get up. Leaving her bag on the ground she began to slowly walk towards him. He never once looked at her, his gaze focused on the now almost void paintings. Slowly sliding nearer to him she kept a short but respectful distance from him... especially for her own anxieties. "The paintings are quite void today aren't they." Lynn spoke, her accent highlighting specific words naturally. "Back... uhmm well I remember when my house had alot of enchanted paintings. It was really old. Its comforting being among so many." Lynn finished as she looked over at him.

Rory Thomson
SEVENTH YEAR RAVENCLAW
It surprised even Rory how the groupings turned out. Juniper had done a good job, even if he had misgivings about letting her handle a task that he would have normally taken care of. Model students had their perks. Teachers always listened to them. And why wouldn't they listen to Juniper's group suggestions? It was clear that a lot of the students had problems with each other, and what better way to fix that than to force them to do some wholesome teamwork in detention? Two birds with one stone.

Of course, all that sounds good on paper. In reality, it was bound to be a disaster. Which was all the better.

"Just the person I was thinking about," Rory said, pushing himself from the wall he had been leaning against. "Couldn't you have assigned us somewhere else other than..." He wrinkled his nose, "Bathrooms?"

Piper still got flustered when she thought about her actions at breakfast, she'd just thrown her arms around Pedro, overwhelmed by gratitude for having Nibbles returned to her safe and sound. That wasn't even the worst of it. She was pretty sure she'd said thank you a hundred times in less then a minute before she finally realised what she was doing and turned into a blushing mess. She was embarrassed by how she'd reacted but still felt blissfully happy with having Nibbles back.

Said Puffskein was now safely back in her room with everything edible out of reach; he looked like he would pop if he ate one more thing, she'd never seen him so big, it made her laugh she she'd first seen him close up. She shook her head, smiling to herself as she moved towards the exit of the Hufflepuff common room.

She didn't really mind having detention, after the night she'd had and the morning after... Well it just helped drive home the fact she likely wouldn't go to a party ever again, it just wasn't her scene. Forceful invite or not, she'd risk the repercussions of not going next time.

She blinked slowly as she stepped out the door, being greeted by a swearing Gryffindor. She warily closed the door behind her, taking in the sopping figure. She originally thought it was just water or something like that, at least until the smell hit her. She barely refrained from covering her nose, not wanting to insult the girl by the action.

"What is that stuff?" She asked, the question slipping out before she could stop it. "Eh... sorry, who are you looking for? I can go let them know you're here," She added quickly.

Juniper curled the chain around her fingers, fiddling with the cool surface of the locket as she walked, mulling her plan around in her head, covering every possible problem that could arise with an immediate solution. She wouldn't mess up this perfect opportunity, failure was never and option, not even for a second.

She slid her cool gaze up to meet Thomson's as his unwelcome voice drew her from her thoughts. She narrowed her eyes slightly, slipping her hand back into her pocket and releasing the locket as she slowed her pace then came to a stop. She had debated simply ignoring him, but ended up changing her mind in the end. As if she would give them somewhere else, this worked out perfectly. "No," She said coolly. She arched a pale brow at him. "If this isn't pleasing enough, then perhaps you should stop relying on others to get you your stories, Thomson," She said. She slid her hand back into her pocket, curling the chain around her fingers once more as she looked at him. "You'll find the outcome of today pleasing enough. Even if it requires a few hours in a bathroom."

If things went as planned, something far more pleasing then the little messes he liked to make of people's lives would be the end result; however, he needn't know that.

Echo awoke the next morning feeling as miserable, her right leg ached from the previous night. Yesterday had completely drained her of any and all energy that she possessed. She got ready for the day dressing in a simple pair of slacks and a deep red shirt, wearing these clothes were a little out of the ordinary for her though. Then again Echo wasn’t feeling ordinary this day. She clutched the letter she stayed up writing to Alistair in her hand as she made her way to breakfast. She sat the letter next to her as she passively at a little breakfast before excusing herself not long after she sat down. She passed Alistair as she went to check her detention duties. She dropped her letter into his lap and continued on her way.
Her eyes immediately were drawn to where she was placed and mentally winced as she seen Percy’s name within her group. ‘Why?’ She cursed silently to herself at least she wasn’t with Alistair. She knew that she wouldn’t be able to survive being stuck with him in her group. At least Wally was in there to help provide a little buffer between her and Percy. Echo was still upset with the events that transpired only a few nights ago, but it was not all Percy’s fault and Echo knew that but it also did not change her feelings on the matter.
Echo made her way to the meetup point for her group and spotted Rory and Juniper waiting at the spot. She sighed heavily and pushed herself forward to meet them, choosing to remain silent instead of greeting them. She was in no real mood to do any conversing at the present moment. She could not think of a single thing to really say to anyone as she waited for Wally and Percy to show up to meet them.

As much as Rosa adored the party – from the fights to dramatic affairs, Rosa despised the consequences as it garnered. The teachers, she was sure, were clearly out of their minds this time as they had announced that all the students would be cleaning. ‘Cleaning’. The very word kept repeating endlessly in her mind and Rosa remained as horrified now as when she heard. Rosa did not clean. At all. Her family hired extensively background checked individuals to keep up the standards in their home – their suspicion of others or not, they were all to prideful to clean anything themselves. In result, Rosa had not cleaned a day in her life, even her toys as a young child were not packed away by her.

A sharp exhale of air later, Rosa continued her trek to the Great Hall in search for some food. Despite her stomach’s protest, Rosa did originally plan to skip the meal and eat at dinner once again. However, there was little benefit to reap from that plan considering she would be reluctantly working. So, with a grumpy huff parting from her painted dark red lips, Rosa collapsed onto the bench at the Slytherin table and taking some of the fruit available to eat.

Rosa slowly picked at the skin of her orange with well-manicured nails, slowly letting them dig into the flesh before angrily ripping it from the small fruit. Amber eyes stared lazily at the slowly entering and dispersing students – all most likely heading to their own detentions. Some looked miserable and she was easily able to pick them out as students that didn’t attend the party, though not a shred of her felt even slightly bad about it. In fact, it was amusing to hear the angry complaints between groups about the shared punishment the student body was given.

That cheered her up a little at least.

It didn’t take her long to finish off a couple more pieces of fruit as her stomach hungrily forced her to continue eating despite accompanying a sense of nausea. Rosa rarely ate this early and it was unfamiliar to her system. She gathered herself up gracefully, brushing down her clothes – a dark grey sweater top, black jeans and ankle high heeled boots, to remove any traces of her food before heading out of the hall. In the very least, her slow meal had given her some amusement, Rosa was pretty sure some younger, nervous student was borderline in tears over a detention of all things! It wasn’t the end of the world.

With deliberately slow steps, Rosa reached the Quidditch pitch only to find it devoid of life. Irritated, Rosa folded her arms petulantly across her torso with a huff. She was hoping her idiotic ‘detention buddies’ would at least be here, so they could start and then go. The only respite she had from this torture of a punishment was the presence of Davi, someone who she could tolerate. Rosa was still proud of her investment in a relationship with the Gryffindor, he was someone she could expect to rely on in case she needed protection if she continued to play friendly. Despite her use of him, Rosa generally found him quite interesting over time. Looking around, Rosa shrugged her shoulders before letting her form shift with a few steps forwards. It was a quick change to her Raven form, wings beating quickly against the air as she soared towards where the bleachers started, her claws settling upon the wooden walls that started the seating areas. Ironically, she settled upon one of the white and green checked walls. Cawing briefly, Rosa let her wings stretch before folding against her feathered form, her head pressing into her chest as she decided to take a brief nap.

She wasn’t starting the work alone, she would wait for everyone…or sleep the entire time.

Leontios was both anxious and excited. Despite the odds, Leo was in a detention group with Annie, the head girl. He both cursed and was thankful for this coincidence as he had been contemplating how to approach the older year student and apologise. It had caused him to drift between two moods, one of complete and utter terror and distress and the other excitement at once again being able to talk to the head girl. From what he could remember, which was not much, he thought she was interesting and generally, Leo quite liked her.

As usual, Leo was garbed in his usual brown jacket and a pair of slightly faded and worn jeans. Most of his clothes were worn down slightly but he didn’t care at all – half the time he threw on whatever he could grab first from his chest. He didn’t want to spend any of the money his mother worked hard to earn and send him on stuff he didn’t need after all. His hands were shoved deeply into the pockets of the brown jacket, the zip pulled halfway up as he strolled quite calmly through Hogwarts halls. Surprisingly, Leo was taking the detention quite well. Kitchen cleaning wasn’t even that bad, he often helped his mother cleaning the kitchens at her workplace after all. He wasn’t a fan of it, but he had no complaints either compared to some of the other students he had passed.

Wandering down the steps to the lower floors of Hogwarts, Leo was distracted in heading to his destination by the sound of voices. Most notably a loud shout and the use of curse words he was sure his mother would throw a fit at hearing. Blinking owlishly in confusion, it took Leo a few moments before he hurried over to the origin of the voice. He noted two girls but only knew of one as he had seen Piper when she approached Pedro the prior day. Turning his gaze to the other girl, who was drenched in…something, Leontios furrowed his brow and hurried over to the two of them. “Hey, are you okay?” He asked, generally worried for the girl drenched in something he could now clearly smell much to his disgust though he tried his hardest not to show it on his face.

Playing Style- Passive or Aggressive
I can switch back and forth between passive and aggressive play style. I used to be really aggressive, but these days I'm really tired most the time or busy. I just don't have the energy to be as aggressive these days, so I like finding partners who I can lean on for creative input when I can't provide.
Favorite Genres
I don't have a favorite genre. I can role-play under any genre and I enjoy doing so. Though, I tend to stray more towards Fantasy, Modern, Scifi, Drama, Magical, Supernatural, and Romance (Yaoi/Hetero/Yuri).
Genre You DON'T Like
My least favorites are horror, historical, and western.
Effie awoke feeling groggy, and in not much mood to do anything. The past two days had been too much of a roller coaster for her, and she felt drained of energy. Laying in bed she thinks about her conversation with Tasha the other day. Wondering what she would have done had he not pulled her back to reality. In a way it was nice having someone else other than Elise and Wallace who knew what had happened to her. Her psychiatrist had been encouraging her to tell one of her friends for a while now, and Tasha was so...understanding. She stares silently up at the ceiling as she ponders who else she could tell, but nobody comes to mind. Perhaps she wasn’t really ready to be open about it with everyone yet. Finally pulling the covers off her she slips off her bed and decides to get dressed. Since today they would be doing manual labor she opted to pull on a pair of jean overalls with a older long sleeved shirt as a top underneath. It was the color of her eyes, and looked good paired with her red hair and blue pants. Next she pulls on some white socks to keep her feet warm, and does up her hair. Not wanting to take the time to braid her hair she simply splits her ginger locks into two high pig tails with green ribbon as bows. After tugging on her shoes Effie leaves her dorm and heads to the Great Hall where she as a quick but filling breakfast with some of her concerned housemates. Of course she explained that, No, Rory nor Professor Pearce has done anything to her, and that she was fine now. With nothing more to say on the topic she leaves the hall and heads outside to the green house where she meets up with her cousin. She waves at her with a small smile on her face, thoroughly enjoying being outdoors. She wasn’t necessarily excited to be around anyone else today, but this would be a good opportunity to get to know her other school mates.

  ALISTAIR BLACKBOURNE

For the first time in his life, Alistair had to spend a day in detention. What would he say to his grandfather? He was already under a lot of pressure, and now he had gone and sabotaged his clean record. And to think he didn't even have any choice in the matter. It was the worst luck.

Alistair clutched the unopened letter in one hand as he walked the hallways, contemplating. He wondered what Echo had to say to him. An apology perhaps? A follow-up reprimand? Did he even want to read it? He was already in an awful mood.

Having decided he would read it later, Alistair slipped the letter into his pocket and continued his way. He was already nearing his destination when he spotted Lauren, whom he vaguely recognized from a few of his classes.

"Hello," he greeted casually as he fell into step beside her. He didn't really know what else to say. Alistair wasn't in the habit of making small talk outside of formal social gatherings.

Henry Chen
SEVENTH YEAR HUFFLEPUFF
Henry was just about to crawl out of the barrel doorway when a familiar shrill voice nearly caused his eardrums to explode. What he found on the other side was his best friend Joan, completely drenched with something awful. It smelled like vinegar.

A moment of surprise later and Henry was laughing wildly to the point of tears. He struggled to breathe. "Jesus, what happened here?" He managed to say in between laughs, "Want some fish and chips with that, Jo?

"Gryffindors," he added teasingly, rolling his eyes. He turned to the fair-headed girl and Leo who both seemed concerned. "It's alright, she was looking for me."

Joan really had awful luck. She just had to be drenched in vinegar today of all days. Henry pitied her groupmates. "It's too bad we don't have our wands today. And you don't exactly have time for a bath, either." Another chuckle slipped out of him.

Jasper left the great hall, biting into an apple. He had eaten a quick breakfast but he wasn't going to deny himself a nice piece of fruit. He dug in his pocket for his slip of paper detailing where he partake in his detention and the group of students who would be joining him. He was use to doing detentions he didn't deserve, he'd traded places with his sister enough. So cleaning up the Owlery was nothing new.

The thing he wasn't looking forward to, even a little, was the company. What kind of idiot professor thought it would be a good idea, to put students who were constantly fighting in the same space for however long their detention went? They had to be missing a few screws in the noggin.

Ivar was the only one preventing this from being completely boring, since he'd yet to speak to his sister after there disagreement the day before. It was weird not seeing her...going out of his way not to see her, though he wasn't trying overly hard.

He buttoned his jacket up further, encasing his warmth within the material before going out into the cold. "Nothing like a shower of shit to start morning," He murmured sarcastically to himself, as owls flew over head. He slowed his steps as he noticed a certain red head sitting on the steps outside. She must have been the only one here since there was no shouting coning from inside and she was just sitting there.

He really should have just waited for Ivar before coming up, now he had to deal with this girl he hardly knew. At least, not as anything more then the girl his sister disliked. "Hey," He said lightly, stopping a few steps below where she sat. He flicked a glance over his shoulder, back towards the school before sighing softly to himself and turning back to the redhead. "Own an owl?" He asked conversationally.

Sanguine had her face buried in her hands, her figure curled in on itself slightly as she refrained from screaming. The entire situation today was a mess and if she wasn’t still disappointed with herself from the day before she would have surely taken her rage out on someone or something. Instead of a shrill scream, Sanguine just continued to grumble curses under her breath, letting them be muffled by her hands. She contemplated if screaming would help - it was better that punching another person.

Lost in her own thoughts, Sanguine had remained unaware of the approaching footsteps. Only at the sound of Jasper’s voice did she realise there was another around, her form suddenly jolting up slightly till she was sat properly, her attention switching quickly to him. She seemed almost startled for a second as she silently cursed her lack of attention! Normally, she would have heard him approach easily.

A sigh tumbled from the half-vampire’s lips, her form settling as she dropped her arms weakly into her lap, studying the other carefully. “You…you’re Jasper, right? You are related to- to Cyrus?” She asked, forcing herself to withhold the usual names she gifted to Cyrus. She didn’t have the will to get into any more fights right now and she didn’t think the brother of one of her ‘enemies’ would be particularly happy about any of the names she used for his sister. A faint smile painted her lips at the awkward question as it strangely soothed her nerves around the new individual. Propping her elbow back up on her knee, she settled her head down once again. “You don’t need to talk to me if you don’t want to. I mean, I am someone who only yesterday punched your friend and who your sister hates, right?” Sanguine murmured, a scowl drifting onto her lips as she turned to watch the owls above. This grouping was pure evil. She couldn’t escape her actions from yesterday as hard as she tried. She sighed again, grumbling under her breath. “That sounded rude. Sorry." She apolosed briefly before shaking her head. "No, I don’t have an owl. Wanted one but never got one. What about you?”

Perfect - kitchen duty.

Having slept in through breakfast, Tasha had made important plans to stay in bed all day. However, plans had changed when his idiot housemates alohomora'd down his fucking door and rennervate'd his ass.

It took a courage, dignity, and the fact that he didn't sleep with his wand to not attempt his first shot at casting an unforgivable curse. They were so smug and adamant to let him know he had detention. It smelled terribly like some bullshit they were trying to hide, but he wasn't all too keen on trying to sniff it out. It took too much effort, and frankly, he didn't care to give them the satisfaction of his curiosity.

It was at least decent of them to let him know his friends were in the owlery. It made him feel better to know that compared to scraping bird shit, he'd be making up for missed breakfast. Leaving his room would also give him the chance to check up on Effie sometime later in the day.

With a lazy yawn and an indecent scratch of his tatted abdomen, Tasha entered the kitchen and saw Deborah.

Fuck.

Before he could do a full 180, the two met eyes.

Fuck!

For a moment he stood there feeling daft as assholes. He could hear the blaring laughter of his housemates, and held back his irritated groan.

"Deborah." He said, and felt somewhat like a prick. After years of her avoiding him, there was nothing left to say. He was all out of wit, and definitely didn't plan to pull any charm. It was.. bleak.. with a blunt edge, pressing where it once hurt.

"Well, you're looking good." He said, walking past her to the sink to do a half assed job of washing his hands. Having his back on her gave him the moment that he needed to regain any lost composure.

This shit is old. He needed to remind himself, before turning back to face her with a relaxed smile.

"What have you been up to these days?"

Jasper offered a light smile, something he used to keep things relaxed, he'd rather not make thing awkward further. Which is also why he tucked the events of yesterday in the back of his mind, now wasn't the time to fess up for the apple incident, not that it was necessarily something he wanted to do anyway. "That's me," he said lightly. He turned slightly, resting back against the short, stone wall. He made a slight face at the mention of Cyrus. "Yep, she's my twin."

He gave a light shrug. "It wouldn't be the first time Joan had to go to the infirmary." Nor would it be the last, he was sure; Cyrus and him had a tendency to drag their friends into...interesting situations. He tugged a hand through his hair, making a mess of the usually neat locks. "My sister disliking someone doesn't usually stop me from talking to them," He said in amusement. He shrugged off her apology, not finding it rude in the slightest. He wasn't exactly expecting her to gush about the wonders of Cyrus and her friend. He was actually more surprised by the fact that she wasn't saying more, unkind things about them.

"Nah, too much hassle." He has always liked the idea of an owl, but it wouldn't be much use to him, given anyone he'd want to talk to is across the ocean in Australia or right here at Hogwarts. "I'm willing to bet you probably won't want an owl after today," He joked lightly. He straightened up then, drifting up the steps and around the girl, to the entrance of the Owlery. "You could paint a whole house with the amount of shit in here," He said with a light snort of amusement.

The girl really didn't seem so bad, he supposed he hadn't really had the chance to see otherwise.
