[June 23rd, Morning | Hisakawa Academy, Main School Building | Classroom 2-A]

Bzzz! Bzzzz! Bzzzz!

Robert's eyes drew slowly open as the morning beams of sun pierced through the gap in his curtains, the buzzing of his alarm clock rousing him from his sleep. Outside, the subtle, merry chirping of birdsong served as the soundtrack to his rising as he brushed a few rogue strands of hair from his eyes. And so another day begins... he thought to himself as memories of the evening before flashed through his mind. "Seriously..." he groaned.

"Continue to hound me and I won't be responsible for what happens... see you in school."

"Yes , I look forward to the showdown."

"Arsehole," he muttered. Dragging himself from his bed, he showered and got dressed into his uniform, sighing deeply as he prepared for the day. Beyond the door to his room, he could hear the bustle of students rushing through the halls of the dormitory, trying to get to class. They all so sounded so excited. It must have been nice to be so enthusiastic. Making sure his tie was fitted properly, he slung his bag over his shoulder and headed out towards the main school building.

When he arrived, he filtered into the classroom silently and sat at his desk before looking over at the board. 3 periods of physical education? No wonder everyone seemed somewhat glum. Robert made a subtle fist pump motion under the desk as he smiled somewhat wryly. After all, PE was one of his preferred subjects. Exercise had always been a healthy release for him and often times it meant that he didn't have to sit in the awkward silence of the classroom, feeling people's eyes burning into the back of his skull with malice. Taking a swift glance around the room, it seemed people were in conversation about the ramen shop from the previous evening. In truth, Robert wouldn't be returning. The place was officially ruined for him. In the future, he'd need to find somewhere else to eat if he wanted to treat himself.

[June 23rd, Morning | Hisakawa Academy, Main School Building | Classroom 2-A]

Hilda was up way before her Alarm clock was ringing, so she was already finished with dressing as she turned it off. Having done nothing different than on a normal day, so she got up, had read how today's class would be.

"[Homeroom]

[Physical Education]
[Physical Education]
[Lunch Period]
[Event - Sp. Festival Training]
[Event - Sp. Festival Training]

She mumbled to herself, had already learned it perfectly, though it hadn't helped against her boredom on this day. She took her bag and walked to the classroom, quickly, hoping her boredom would stop if she could talk with someone there.

She entered and looked around, seeing people chatting already, so she took her place, looked over at Chiyo, but since she was talking with Yuri, Hilda just looked at them from time to time, but stayed silent

(just noticed that with the 5 people gone 4 of them were in positive relationships with Hilda....)

Leo didn't much as enter the classroom as much as suddenly loom into it. Grimacing to himself, he quietly passed by Chiyo awkwardly trying to make conversation with Nao. Almost collasping into his seat, Leo looked at the board in contempt

"Neat" he muttered under his breath.

There was something nagging at him, but he just couldn't quite pick out what it was. Not that he actually wanted to figure out what it was, these things often had a bad habit of making him regret seeing them.

He looked around the room, the classroom ever so slowly filling in, A lot of them, Leo figured, did not look so happy. He put it up to the triple class. Some people seriously did not like running, or walking. Or really making any physical movement whatsoever. Mizuki was too busy making herself deaf then to talk to anyone. Not that she actually would talk to anyone, but rather start breaking down as soon as she laid eyes on Nao, or chiyo...or really anyone.

He rubbed his eyes, he probably didn't look too good to anyone else,He didn't feel good to himself. He wasn't even sick. He reduced this day to watching people fall over. And maybe watching Mizuki cry once or twice. And perhaps a few others, everyone seemed very emotional in the last few days. Tensions and such, really was very dramatic. He did wish he could bring popcorn to watch.

Yuri%20Ico1_zpsfui4oskj.jpg

[June 22nd, Early-Evening / Street, Near the New District Train Station]

"Good morning."

"Good Morning, Moroita-san." Yuri returned her classmate's greeting politely.

Nao Moroita. A deeply disturbed an antisocial sociopath - at least according to what Yuri's gut feeling told. He certainly acted regular enough, just coming off as withdrawn when it came to people outside of his concern. But, Yuri did have a certain feeling that just told her to be cautious around him. Moroita Nao wasn't as much of a troublemaker as Kane had been up through to now, but there would have to come a time when Yuri would have to confirm some things with him, and take the necessary steps going forward.

"Good morning Yuri-san~"

Coming in a bit after Nao was Imada Chiyo, bright and positive to a fault.

"Good Morning, Imada-san. We're looking about as energetic as ever, I see."

Yuri grinned as she poked fun at Chiyo, noticing her tired expression.

Chiyo, who didn't cause much trouble on her own, was notable for being about a normal as anyone could get in this class - normally. In terms of Yuri's duties, there wasn't much she had to be concerned about with Chiyo, save for trying to pep up her grades. But, in Chiyo's case all she really needed was a bit of encouragement. Certainly, if everyone caused as much trouble as she did, then Yuri's job would be relatively easy.

....

Time passed on as the rest of the class began to arrive.

As expected, Miss Yorihase did not appear. With the stright classes of Physical Education, and the free periods after lunch there wasn't any 'need' for her to be there.

Checking in on assignment submission, and making general school announcements, Yuri took her class through homeroom. Finally leading to how today would be carried out.

"...Even if Miss Yorihase is absent today, we can still go through Physical Education even without the Teacher's presence considering everything over there is already automated. Please remember to pace yourselves and rest when necessary if you decide to exercise throughout the entire course of the three periods. Also, be mindful that we will have to stay in the fitness level for the entire duration of our scheduled time there, so please don't go wandering off."

A polite request. But in reality the school was able to easily track any individual student on it's grounds. The truth of the matter was that if Yuri couldn't stop her classmates from going out, it would go into the hands of the intimidating and aggressive looking security staff.

"Hey, what are we doing after lunch period then?"

"We're supposed practice for the Sports Festival. The Fitness Level will be open for everyone at the school at that point."

A collective and silent sigh ran through some of the students in the class.

"Aren't we already doing stuff there for the first half of the day already"

Yuri Nodded.

"Yes, that's why you're also free to work on classwork after lunch as an alternative as well. At least, in our class' case we are."

"Are we all clear about it then? Of what we're doing today?"

The real answer was probably 'no'. This was in rather stark contrast as to what had happened during the culture festival. At this point, everyone was expecting Yuri to have objectives and plans laid out down to the last detail. If she had taken the same approach for today, the whole class probably would've seen the entire class day seem like a Sports Festival Bootcamp of sorts. With enough time to cover practicing each event for the first time.

But this time, Yuri had left things completely up in the air. It felt like today would easily be doomed to being a complete waste of time.

Nobady had the heart to bring it up, however. They already knew that Yuri would easily find the words to deny changing her approach to all this. It was further solidified with the words Yuri have as she went back to take her seat in the front row.

"Alright. We'll head off to the Fitness Level once homeroom is over. After you get your warm-ups done, feel free to use the time to practice for the Sports Festival as well."

The wording came off as lazy as Miss Yorihase's view of her job.

Feel Free To Practice If You Want. I don't Really Care If You Really Do It Or Not, Though

Everything Yuri was saying today was coming off as Cold. It was like she didn't care anymore. Even SO, Yuri was able to take her seat without any opposition. She was about to let anarchy take over for the class - to an extent. Still, it was obvious that today was going to be aimless. For most people this was a chance to just casually hang out at school for once. They still had to go from place to place as a class but they now had the freedom to choose what they wanted to do, even if they where still confined to the Fitness Level for most of the time.

Among some students in the class, there were whispers about trying to sneak their way out of school during lunch period.

Among others there was talk about trying to get the class to practice for the Sports Festival.

But among many there was talk about how ridiculous three periods of physical fitness was.

Either way, it was here that everything could begin, or fall apart when it came to class 2-A's participation in the sports festival. The things that Yuri made so easy previously - the preparations for their upcoming event, where now entirely in the hands of the class - specifically, the ones who could move things forward themselves. Yuri casually read today's news headlines at her desk; and the time for Homeroom Continued to pass on by...

[/fieldbox]

Moving forward, Kane and Katsumi, as well as those whom had sided with them, attempted to get the other student in class to rally to their way of seeing things. The first couple of days were crucial. But ultimately while Katsumi had the advantage, the class remained relatively divided. Class 2-A participated in the school festival. Still, a sizable portion of the class chose not to participate. Affecting the class' performance in the event.

The small section of the class performed well, however. Katsumi's group was able to one of the events that they trained hard for. Additionally, with the help of Kane's follower's, they where able to win another event. With only 3 major events at the sports festival, Class 2-A took home most of the prizes.

By Kane's challenge, Katsumi 'won' the challenge. But as a class, they had become divided. Between Kane's group, Katsumi's Group, and the section of the class that decided to stay out of it. In affect, the unity the group found from the Culture Festival event was gone. Divided roughly along the same lines as it had been before.

Like or Like?
Involving: Yuri Nozomi & Kobe Shinji

As intelligent as some people regard Yuri, there are some topics that in which she is a little amiss. For example, when someone asks you if you 'Like someone' in a certain context, then it can have a much deeper meaning.

Of Course I Like Shinji, He's Really Important to Me.

It was that reply that started the rumor. Yuri and Shinji seemed to be getting along in the past couple of weeks. But this little incident has caused some complications. So much so that after he heard about it, he avoided Yuri for an entire week. Shinji may be pretty aware that she didn't mean it in that kind of way, but the rest of the class - and a certain percentage of the school find the more scandalous explanation to be more sensational.

As far as he knows, the only way to clear up the rumor is to approach Yuri and get her clarify what she said. That should be enough to disperse the rumor. The couple of times he's tried to approach her however, has been for naught. Each time he tried to talk to her after school, she's already rushing off campus. While tempting to just do it through the phone, something like this isn't something you try to straighten out through just a text message. What could be going on with Yuri? He Thought.

Could it be? It can't be.

[July 5th, Afternoon / Hisakawa Academy, Main School Building, Classroom 2-A]

Idly talking with other students at yet another lunch break. Yuri was noticeably more lax than she usually was. Normally, the sight of Yuri busily chiseling away at homework was the norm, but since the end of the sports festival a couple of days ago, the diligent homework completionist seems to have suddenly ended up not doing such things. It was a welcome change, though. Yuri conversed with her friends like a normal student.

But just as it seemed like she had set aside her worries in regards to her class, the topic had to rear it's way into what was a pleasant, informal conversation. To that, Yuri only gave a dismissive reply, discounting her opinions of it as being too insignificant to be worth mentioning. But in truth, she had been thinking about all of this for some time. The resulting fallout from the Sports Festival was something she had mentally brooded over for some time. Namely, her disappointment in what had happened to the unity of the class - now balkanized between those who backed Kane, Katsumi, or those whom did not participate in the practices at. Probably the most glaring fact of the last fact was that some of those students did not even appear on the day of the Sports Festival, which nearly got Class 2-A disqualified due to the shortage.

It was the people who kept to the sidelines of the Kane-Katsumi ordeal that got marginalized the most, and in-turn, some of those in class blamed Yuri for letting all of this happen.

I guess it's probably partially my fault for letting all that go ahead.... Yuri thought as she remorsefully touched her cheek. My gambit backfired and it affected the whole class.

For Yuri, she had to find a way to fix it.

And she was going to do it now.

"Kane-san..."

Walking up behind him, Yuri caught the attention of the silver haired student, standing with a group of friends.

"I'd like to challenge you to an Avatar Battle."

At the sound of her sentence, the classroom fell into a hush. Intrigued and dumbfounded gazes fell onto Yuri. The last person they'd ever think of being one to initiate an Avatar Battle.

In the back of some of her friends' minds, Kane's very words came back to remind them of how he had seen this all coming.

Then she has the nerve to get stressed over people doing any thing she doesn't like. One day she's going to snap....

There were people in the class who were thinking of this as some kind of misunderstanding. But among her friends, there was the unified realization that if they keep on letting this move forward, there might not be any turning back for Yuri. No one could say why she was challenging Kane to a battle - or what her aim could be. To go to such lengths was like an indication of desperation.

This was the moment where Yuri Nozomi was beginning to snap. If she went through with this, she might not be the same Yuri they had come to know.

Were they going to let her do this?

You couldn't say that Leo was angry, or bitter or sad. Not even disappointed, to anyone who seem to watch Kane's mood. It might as seemed as if it never happened in the first place.

For now, all he had to contest with was a headache.

"Kane-san..."

Turning around, Leo stared at Yuri blankly. "Yes~?"

"I'd like to challenge you to an Avatar Battle."

For just a moment, Leo face flashed with surprise, Before visibly cringing. Ow,Ow,Ow. His eyes dashing around at everyone, sensing that the class had the mentality of "Gather the popcorn and let's watch" or "I should do something, let's just wait till someone else speaks up...". Leo sighed faintly.

"Why?" Leo blurted out. Ow,Ow,Ow.

Leo seemed to look into Yuri's eyes for a few moments, a slight frown creased his mouth. He opened his mouth to say something, but only a small "Yu...". But he stopped himself. Before dramatically shrugging.

"Well then," He smirked. "Yuri, I accept your challenge. Not that I have much choice really."

Leo smiled, "Or chance, honestly Yuri this is certainly against the odds isn't it?" Kane commented off-handed, watching Yuri. Not a word from anyone else, yet. They do love a spectacle don't they.[/fieldbox]

Chiyo%20Ico%20Real_zpscbxdv0hl.jpg
~July 5th, Afternoon / Hisakawa Academy, Main School Building, Classroom 2-A~

When Chiyo was talking to Kane today, she noticed that he acted as if the whole sports festival never happened. As much as she wanted to approach him on the subject, she didn't want to hurt his feelings even more than they might possibly be, so she decided to ignore the situation. At the moment, she was talking about cats.
"So you see, you shouldn't really give your cat milk because-"

"Kane-san..."

Chiyo stopped talking as she saw Yuri walking up to the small group in which Chiyo and Leo were currently in. Oh, she must be coming to talk about what just happened at the Sports festi-

"I'd like to challenge you to an Avatar Battle."

Silence.

"Yuri, I accept your challenge. Not that I have much choice really."

Chiyo stared at the scene in front of her, taking a second to comprehend what exactly was just said. Not once this year had she witnessed an Avatar Battle, and there was no way that her first was going to have one of her best friends involved. Not if she could help it. Why, she would rather it be her fighting out there than- actually, that just gave her an idea. Taking a step in between the two almost-combatants, she tried to act taller than she was, stretching her back so that she was a whole centimeter taller than before.

"Wait a second Yuri-san! Why should Leo-kun have to fight you without a reason? If you just want to fight for no reason, then perhaps I should be the one who challenges you?"

To be honest Chiyo had no idea what she was doing, and if asked why she was doing it, there probably wouldn't be a good response. This had played out a totally different, more cooler way in her mind, but now that it was out in the open she didn't know if what she just did was stupid and useless or if it actually had a purpose in the situation.

But she had to do something, after all this isn't how the Yuri who Chiyo knows would usually act, she'd actually probably be the one who was trying to stop this from happening. While the peach-haired student didn't know exactly what had pushed Yuri so much as to try and start a fight, she had a sinking feeling that if her plum-haired friend did go through with this, there would be no going back. Now, while fighting Yuri herself might not be the best option, Chiyo really couldn't think of anything else at the moment that didn't involve her fellow cat-lover.

"Leo-kun, please think of what you just said. If you don't really want to fight her, then can I suggest you take a step back, before we all do something we regret?"

Now, since this is Leo we're talking about, Chiyo knows that it's unlikely for him to actually back down, but she just can't see any other way of ending this peacefully if he doesn't. Hopefully somebody else in the class tries to help her stop the pair from continuing this craziness.[/fieldbox]

Shinji%20Ico%20Real_zps54r8obig.jpg

[July 5th, Afternoon / Hisakawa Academy, Main School Building, Classroom 2-A]

After the Sports Festival, Shinji just felt really lost. He considered himself on Katsumi's side, but only because she was defending Yuri. Otherwise, he decided that he wouldn't join in the squabble. It was stupid, and there wasn't much else he agreed on with Katsumi. So once he finished with the Sports Festival he decided to simply avoid drama.

But of course it found him again.

And of course it put him in an impossible situation coupled with his worst nightmare.

There was rumor going around that Yuri liked him, and Shinji as of yet only found her dashing off campus faster than he could keep up and she was behaving oddly. He couldn't tell if it was because she actually did like him, she was embarrassed about the rumor, or upset about the Sports Festival outcome. He tapped his pencil on the side of the homework he had been working on as he thought about what each situation would imply. He noticed that she was now standing up and walking towards Kane's group.

He watched, bored and just simply waiting for what she would say until her challenge was issued, and if it was possible Shinji would have fallen out of his seat in surprise. He too thought about what Kane had said about her before, and tried to stand and stop it.

Then she has the nerve to get stressed over people doing any thing she doesn't like. One day she's going to snap....

Chiyo agreed with his impulse response, but as he moved next to Yuri, he wondered if it was entirely a bad idea. Either way, he wasn't sure there was a talking her out of it now, because Kane had accepted the challenge.

"Yuri, what are you doing? Challenging him won't change anything. Yuri, why are you acting like this?"

Was it because of the rumor? Was it because of him? Did she hear about how he defended her and tried to stand up for her? He moved between her and Kane, vainly trying to separate the two. He wouldn't ask her straight out what was wrong in the middle of the classroom, but if he could keep them from fighting long enough for him to drag off Yuri...

"I won't stop you if you're sure about this, but this really won't change anything and you're just playing into his hands."

[July 5th, Afternoon / Hisakawa Academy, Main School Building, Classroom 2-A]

Honestly , she felt lost in everything , as though she was taken in with the waves of a very furious hurricane . The brunette stared out the window of her classroom , hoping that there was at least something that could actually distract her from everything and almost everyone . Also , she didn't need to draw anymore attention to herself than she already did before . The Sports Festival , her undeclared war with Kane and even the misunderstanding between Shinji and Yuri . To add on to that , the little spat between Johann and Robert served as a reminder that when one conflict is solves , another comes in the way . Sometimes , Katsumi Yukimura felt as though she was the mother of all conflicts , or more like the bystander who always got herself in the mother of all conflicts .

--

"Oh , Yuki-chan !" .

A fellow school mate of hers , whom she had met on the first day of her school year , and another girl had approached the female when she was in the library , researching for a paper that was due the following week . "Oh , hello , Fuyumi-chan , can I help you ?" , she replied before taking a seat .

The two girls took their respective seats in front of her , as well , but it was clear that what they had in mind were to confirm whether the latest gossips heard in the stalls of the girls' bathrooms were true or false , "Oh no . I- or more like we , heard that Johann-kun and West-san got into a fight in that new Ramen place downtown , and it seemed that it was you that they were fighting about ." , the eyes of the two girls almost shined in glee at the prospect of getting a hold of some confirmation and possibly some new information .

"I have no idea what you are talking about ." , Katsumi replied before flipping through the pages of a book , seemingly not bothered by the empty , as in really empty , talk .

"Mou , you're no fun , Yuki-chan ! We also heard that Morita-kun and Ishida-chan had a very awkward and dramatic reunion like in those soap operas !" , she continued on before going into a full in conversation with her friend .

Like I know what is going on between Nao and Ishida....

"If you are going to only talk about things that have no use to me , please stop ." , having enough , Katsumi closed the book shut before moving to another section of the library . But it wasn't as if they stopped pestering her .

--

"Kane-san..."
"I'd like to challenge you to an Avatar Battle."

....wait , what ?

Katsumi knew that during the period in which Kane and herself were raging their class into war , that Yuri did whatever she did for the best of everyone , herself not included . As such , the brunette did feel bad for indirectly avoiding her from that day onwards , but now that she was challenging that old man to a battle , she couldn't help but question her actions .

Was it to bring the class back together as one , as they see Yuri's fighting spirit ?

Was it to merely defeat Kane in front of everyone ?

At the moment , Katsumi couldn't read the exact air surrounding the both of them . She thought that it would be best to leave them alone , and probably confront Yuri later about it , until Chiyo stepped in .

"Wait a second Yuri-san! Why should Leo-kun have to fight you without a reason? If you just want to fight for no reason, then perhaps I should be the one who challenges you?"

Great .

"Yuri, what are you doing? Challenging him won't change anything. Yuri, why are you acting like this?"

All the brunette did was face the group of people . I hope this doesn't add anymore fuel to the flame of the rumors , she thought to herself , slightly worried on behalf of Yuri and her classmates .

Yuri%20Ico1_zpsfui4oskj.jpg

[July 5th, Afternoon / Hisakawa Academy, Main School Building, Classroom 2-A]

It took a moment, but Kane accepted Yuri's challenge, smirking.

"Well then, Yuri, I accept your challenge. Not that I have much choice really."
"Or chance, honestly Yuri this is certainly against the odds isn't it?

Yuri internally prepared herself for what was to come next. But, Chiyo immediately interrupted, forcing herself to be in the way of the two's oncoming duel.

"Wait a second Yuri-san! Why should Leo-kun have to fight you without a reason? If you just want to fight for no reason, then perhaps I should be the one who challenges you?"
"Leo-kun, please think of what you just said. If you don't really want to fight her, then can I suggest you take a step back, before we all do something we regret?"

Following Chiyo's lead, Shinji also stepped forward. Interposing himself between Kane and Yuri.

"Yuri, what are you doing? Challenging him won't change anything. Yuri, why are you acting like this?"
"I won't stop you if you're sure about this, but this really won't change anything and you're just playing into his hands."

"You're mistaken, Shinji. everything is going to change whether I win or not. That's why, I'm going to do this before time runs out."

'Time'
'Change'

Yuri presented that argument to Shinji without consideration. As those things probably where meaningless to him in the way it meant to her. Even with her view of Kane somewhat obscured, she spoke right through Chiyo and Shinji.

"My reasoning for this is simple. If you're going to refuse it, then I'll force it onto you."

No one, save for Kane and Yuri, had any real idea what she was getting it. Nonetheless, it seemed like it was something important. Something that Yuri had been trying to get kane to do since after the Sports Festival, and something that Kane had been ignoring the entire time.

"If I win, I want you to sign that document, agreeing to being transferred out of class 1-A. I've deemed it as being in the best interests of the class for you to leave, Kane-san."
"You can pretend and feign ignorance as much as you'd like. If you truly don't realize the reason why I wish for you to leave, then it's all the more reason that I implore you to do so."

The more she spoke, the more apparent that this wasn't the sort of Yuri the class knew of. The Yuri the class was familiar with was someone whom came off as infallibly friendly. She would listen to their troubles and answer them in a way that one could feel as if they were really being cared for. Showing interest in any sort of exchange they gave her. Some people - shy people, had trouble approaching Yuri for this very reason. But now, seeing Yuri's disposition make such a sharp turn was a menacing thought. Considering how long she had gone without ever showing it.

The only people who would've ever seen Yuri like this before where not present. Not even Harisson or Hibiki has seen her like this.

"If you lose this fight, you will agree to switch out of this class, Kane. Do you understand?"

Some of the students felt a sort of dread coming from this whole scene. Like witnessing someone getting fired off of a job. They could only shudder at the thought of being on the receiving end. The same couldn't be said for the Trio of Shinji, Chiyo, and Kane, who where there taking the brunt of it all.

Yuri's intentions were clear. How would they respond now, after this revelation?

[July 5th, Afternoon | Hisakawa Academy, Main School Building | Classroom 2-A]

Robert's eyes drearily drew open as the piercing sun of the afternoon shot through the curtains in his dorm room. A groggy groan escaped his lips as he slid out of bed. "What time is... SWEET BLOODY JESUS!" he exclaimed in shock as he saw the time on his phone. Rushing about his room, he darted into the en-suite, rushing through a shower and throwing his creased uniform on. As he dashed out of his room not 20 minutes later, his hair was still damp and his entire appearance couldn't be described as anything but dishevelled.

As could be expected, the corridors were barren as he walked through them. Most, if not all, students were in class or having their lunch break. Scratching at his head, Robert couldn't plausibly explain why he had overslept so long. It was a common bad habit he was having - missing the alarm. In truth, his truancy had increased again and after missing the festival he had once more drifted from the class. Shinji was always busy with Yuri and Gyo was off doing his own thing. Robert just felt misplaced more than anything. He sighed deeply as he stared at the ominous '2-A' which hung above the door to his classroom, dropping his head and shoulders as he walked inside silently.

"If you lose this fight, you will agree to switch out of this class, Kane. Do you understand?"

What... the... hell... did I miss? Robert stood in the doorway, dumb-struck for a moment as he saw all the class geared ready for some sort of battle. This wasn't like Yuri... not the Yuri he knew. Even though they hadn't been on the best of terms, he still felt some tragic urge to aid her, though he couldn't explain why. He knew Kane was likely to lose this fight and he knew Yuri knew that too. What had happened in his absence to drive the girl to this? Stepping further into the room, he furrowed his brow. "What's going on here?" Robert questioned in a deep tone, his interrogative aimed at nobody in particular but to the group as a whole. It was the first time in a long time that Robert had actually addressed the class or even gotten involved in class affairs. Still, something in him felt as if it had snapped. This was getting ridiculous.

"If you just want to fight for no reason, then perhaps I should be the one who challenges you?"

Leo watched as Chiyo stepped in between the two of them. He had the inner feeling to laugh, and maybe just take a nap.

"Leo-kun, please think of what you just said. If you don't really want to fight her, then can I suggest you take a step back, before we all do something we regret?"

Leo shrugged, "It is kind of hard to take a step back when your against a wall Chiyo" he answered, taking a moment to look at her. He smiled before looking back at Yuri.

"Yuri, what are you doing? Challenging him won't change anything. Yuri, why are you acting like this?" Truely Shinji you are asking the most important questions.

"I won't stop you if you're sure about this, but this really won't change anything and you're just playing into his hands." Leo chuckled, glancing at Shinji, who had also taken up the mantel of standing in-between. Truly, problems could be stopped if Shinji just made it slightly inconvenient to talk to eachother. "You poor, poor man...." He commented, "Do you go through life expecting everything to be orchestrated by some evil mastermind?"

"My reasoning for this is simple. If you're going to refuse it, then I'll force it onto you." Leo grinned, "Thanks captain obvious"

"If I win, I want you to sign that document, agreeing to being transferred out of class 1-A. I've deemed it as being in the best interests of the class for you to leave, Kane-san. You can pretend and feign ignorance as much as you'd like. If you truly don't realize the reason why I wish for you to leave, then it's all the more reason that I implore you to do so."

Leo grin widened, "Of course, your honour."

"If you lose this fight, you will agree to switch out of this class, Kane. Do you understand?"

Leo yawned, His head really was hurting. What helps headaches again? he could never remember. But this constant thumping was getting rather agitating. "And there we have it? I understand, You don't leave much to the imagination do you. Honestly, Yuri, I still think that you should have to do something if I win. Make it slightly less 'walk the plank' In the rare chance that happens. But I suppose I'll never get to, because here you are. Doing that thing, which all your friends cry and moan would never happen because 'Poor old Yuri is a gentle soul.'" Leo arms dropped. "Hilarious, really."

"But then again, Yuri Nozomi, You still don't realize it do you?" Leo gaze drifted over to Robert.

"What's going on here?"

"A juggling contest Robert, don't you see us readying to throw balls into the air. Possibly some torches even." He went back to Yuri. "Ah, but you don't care right now do you. You couldn't care less. Best interests and all. But certainly Yuri, I always did know you had a dramatic side in you." He smiled, before waving a hand in the air. "Go on, and attempt the change, or whatever. I can only stand so much of you staring at me like I ruined your life"

"You're mistaken, Shinji. everything is going to change whether I win or not. That's why, I'm going to do this before time runs out."

Shinji understood. If she let him stop her, then he would just stir up more drama, and provoke more people. It would cause more animosity, and the class would only become more divided. She had to, because the class was divided and if she did nothing she was as good as responsible for it.

"You poor, poor man.... Do you go through life expecting everything to be orchestrated by some evil mastermind?"

If Kane's comment hurt Shinji in any way, he didn't show it. He wore an empty expression as he stepped out of the way after Yuri finished her statement, looking at Kane, bored.

"Well, someone has an inflated sense of self worth," Shinji said to Kane, "if you think your antics to stir up drama are a stroke of genius. But, knowing her grade stats, do you really think you can win? I'm more worried for your stupid ego than her image. If she wants you to leave, then I won't stop her. I wouldn't want to see a grown man cry, after all."

Shinji walked over to where Robert had entered, forcing himself to walk away from the fight. He'd meant it, that he wouldn't stop her, and he couldn't now that both parties had accepted. He just had to filter out Kane's stupid comments. Shinji stood and balled his fists as he explained to Robert, "Yuri's challenging Kane to a Virtu-Ava battle. If she wins, she kicks him out of the class for good."

What he left out was that if Kane won he was probably going to beat the crap out of Kane. It was his fault for all of this, if he hadn't made that stupid bet for the Sports Festival... if he wasn't so eager to tear down those around him, then everything would be fine and everyone would finally get along. It was Kane's fault for Shinji not being about to clear up the rumor about Shinji and Yuri.

~July 5th, Afternoon / Hisakawa Academy, Main School Building, Classroom 2-A~

"It is kind of hard to take a step back when your against a wall Chiyo" Well, at least she tried to get her best friend to do something, but in all honesty Chiyo kinda expected that sort of reaction to her suggestion. Leo wasn't one who usually backs down that easily anyhow, even if she really wanted him to.

"Yuri, what are you doing? Challenging him won't change anything. Yuri, why are you acting like this?"
Chiyo sighed in relief a little as she saw Shinji decide to try and talk Yuri out of this.
Oh thank the stars I'm not the only one who disagr-
"I won't stop you if you're sure about this, but this really won't change anything and you're just playing into his hands."
WHAT?!?

Scratch what she was thinking before, now she was irritated. How could Shinji just let this slide by? Yes, he might not be on the best of terms with Leo, but that still doesn't mean that he should let this happen just like that, right? Oh, and then he just goes over and leaves, giving up any opportunities of stopping the two?

"If I win, I want you to sign that document, agreeing to being transferred out of class 1-A. I've deemed it as being in the best interests of the class for you to leave, Kane-san. You can pretend and feign ignorance as much as you'd like. If you truly don't realize the reason why I wish for you to leave, then it's all the more reason that I implore you to do so."

"Yuri-san, wait! I'm not too sure why you're doing this, but I don't want Kane-san to move out of this class!" The peach-haired female was aggravated, even stamping her foot on the ground a little at the statement. "And what do you mean, you deemed it as the class's best interest? To me, it just sounds like you want to exterminate something that you can't seem to change. I didn't see you around asking people if they wanted Kane out of the class. I don't see anybody agreeing with you now, and I'm sure as a supernova I didn't hear a word about this before. I don't see any logic in your...your...your stupid reason! And I refuse to agree with it!"

The insult, mild as it may be, was still a feat in Chiyo's case, and only caused her to become even more upset, though not specifically at one person. Even if she couldn't stop this, the least she could do was try, right?

"Can't we all just talk things out? I think that we could all come to some agreement, if we just all sit down and figure out what in the nine planets is the matter." Sadly, she still didn't understand Yuri's logic, maybe because she was only focused on being worried for Leo's sake, or possibly because the peach-haired student herself was denying the reality that ever since the Sports Festival, the class had separated back into their usual cliques and whatnot. All in all, she just wanted what was happening right now to stop, before Leo really did get transferred out.
Attempting one last time, she tried to call out to Yuri's sense of thinking things though.

"Yuri-san, you say that this is for the class's sake, but I've only heard Shinji-kun's comment on the matter, and no offense but it doesn't really sound like a solid opinion to me. Can't we at least let everybody in the class decide whether or not this battle is really worth it?" Chiyo thought that this was wrong, battles were something that can settle a major dispute between two parties, but not over something as small as this. Perhaps she just can't wrap her mind around the fact that this is so much bigger than she thought, but still all she wanted was to stall this as long as possible, at least until Yuri or leo decided to back out of it. Kane sounded annoyed of all of this happening now - or more inconvenienced. Yuri could only really listen through that he had to say. Any type of argument with Kane would only get bogged down into a mire of nothing happening. As Kane announced Robert's appearance, she internally reminded herself that there wasn't any turning back now. She had stay faithful to this decision that she had made.

"Go on, and attempt the change, or whatever. I can only stand so much of you staring at me like I ruined your life"

"..."

"Well, someone has an inflated sense of self worth," Shinji said to Kane as he stepped aside. "-if you think your antics to stir up drama are a stroke of genius. But, knowing her grade stats, do you really think you can win? I'm more worried for your stupid ego than her image. If she wants you to leave, then I won't stop her. I wouldn't want to see a grown man cry, after all."

True to his word, Shinji accepted Yuri's decision. Yuri's face lit up with a little reassurance, and bringing shock to the one other girl that remained between. In between Yuri and Kane, the only one left was Chiyo. She was adamantly against this Avatar Battle, and Kane's potential dismissal from the class going through.

Listening to Chiyo's passionate reply, she couldn't help buy feel a little guilty. But her expression outwardly, remained stalwart.

"Yuri-san, wait! I'm not too sure why you're doing this, but I don't want Kane-san to move out of this class!"
"Imada-san..."

"Can't we all just talk things out? I think that we could all come to some agreement, if we just all sit down and figure out what in the nine planets is the matter."
"Yuri-san, you say that this is for the class's sake, but I've only heard Shinji-kun's comment on the matter, and no offense but it doesn't really sound like a solid opinion to me. Can't we at least let everybody in the class decide whether or not this battle is really worth it?"

Chiyo was the kind of person who was incredibly normal. A concept that Yuri treasured above all else. With Kane being her friend, with her being Yuri's friend, it was natural she wanted to stop anything like this happening. Yuri was counting on Imada's shy nature to keep her out of something as acidic as what was going on now, but it seemed like that fact wasn't something she could count on in this case.

When it involved Kane, explanations of reasoning where out. Kane loved to pick those apart, and use those against you. Making you question your judgement. Maybe in this case, if Yuri said something to try to explain it, Kane would try to twist it to make it sound like she was satisfying her own Egotistical desires. To an extent yes, but to another extent, Yuri was putting her valued image on the cutting board.

Back when this school year started, after hearing the rumors, and seeing some of the results of what happened to people around Kane began to circulate, Yuri decided that if she was to ever confront him, it would be a direct and clean cut action. The fact that Yuri wanted Kane out of the class wouldn't change. The fact that Kane needed to get out of the class didn't change, and the potential outcome of keeping him here was only certain. With those things in mind, Yuri gave the small glasses girl her response.

"Imada-san, you are in the way, please move aside."

A firm command, and the answer to Chiyo Imada's plea.

To explain the reasons behind Yuri's actions was simply a no-win scenario. No one would believe her until long after the event she sought to avoid transpired. It would be better for it to have no chance of happening.

Chiyo was the only one left trying to oppose what was going to happen. There may have been other nameless classmates out there who were opposed to the idea, but where still hesitation. And, there were also those who couldn't argue with Yuri's decision, considering all that Kane had been attributed of. But as it stood, it was only Chiyo who stood between Yuri and Kane's avatar battle.

Was she going to continue on her own?

[June 23nd, Early Morning | Hisakawa Academy, Main School Building, Classroom 2-A]

Mizuki's gaze fell on Yuri as she walked up to the front of the classroom and spoke out. Not that it really mattered, she was always trying to be the center of attention. Turning her head, Mizuki looked up at the ceiling, finding it much more interesting to look at than Yuri. So annoying. Get a life already so you don't have to keep bothering the class to make yourself feel better. While it was a cruel thing to think, Mizuki only smirked in amusement at her own bitchy self. At least she didn't openly show it like some people though, not all the way that is. As the class began asking questions she knew Yuri would answer, Mizuki just toned them all out so she wouldn't have to listen top that annoying voice. Once she finished, Mizuki felt the shift in the air and allowed herself to listen to the world around her again. Looking down at her lap, Mizuki changed her music on Pandora to rock, and turned it up to 100. She put her phone in her pocket and placed an elbow on her desk, setting her chin in her open palm. Her eyes looked around the room, wandering when something interesting would happen.

Yuri approached Kane.

Pulling her earphones out, Mizuki paused her music and watched with some interest at what would happen between the two. No doubt Yuri would hog the attention all over again, but this time Kane would be apart of it and Kane always had something to say.

"I'd like to challenge you to an Avatar Battle."

Knew it. Mizuki said in her head, not an ounce of surprise anywhere. The others might have cared enough to actually be surprised, but it had nothing to do with her so Mizuki didn't care. As such, she merely rolled her eyes and used one hand to mess around on her phone. She'd still listen since it was somewhat interesting, but she was bored and otherwise had nothing better to do. He's going to accept the challenge. Mizuki thought to herself.

"Yuri, I accept your challenge. Not that I have much choice really."

Figures. She said to herself, sighing softly. Looking up upon hearing the panicked voice of the girl she thought was her best friend, Mizuki glared at her. Now Chiyo's trying to be a hero. Pathetic. Sure, ignore your best friend but help out Yuri. Way to go Chiyo. Mizuki thought, sitting up straight. She pocketed her phone and kept her hands under the table cause they had balled up into fists, and she didn't want anyone to see. Not that they would with all eyes on those three.

"Yuri, what are you doing? Challenging him won't change anything. Yuri, why are you acting like this?"

SENSE! Mizuki looked over at Shinji, glad there was at least someone in here who had sense other than her. Thank god she chose wisely as making him a good friend. Sure he was on the distant side, but lately he'd been there for her more than Chiyo has.

"If you lose this fight, you will agree to switch out of this class, Kane. Do you understand?"

Mizuki didn't like Kane, but she defiantly didn't like the thought of the only guy in here who would make a stand in the worst way possible [which she found amusing], being kicked out. She clenched her fists and felt her nails as they dug into her skin, but she ignored the pain and kept a calm expression that was otherwise emotionless.

"And there we have it? I understand, You don't leave much to the imagination do you. Honestly, Yuri, I still think that you should have to do something if I win. Make it slightly less 'walk the plank' In the rare chance that happens. But I suppose I'll never get to, because here you are. Doing that thing, which all your friends cry and moan would never happen because 'Poor old Yuri is a gentle soul.'"

The great humor in which Mizuki loved so much revealed itself. Unable to hold back her laugh, Mizuki laughed aloud and honestly didn't care if the whole class hated her for it. Kane was just that good at making her laugh, while at the same time showing to everyone she can be a total bitch.

There she was. The side of Chiyo Mizuki so much enjoyed watching and listening to. Nodding her head in agreement with what her 'best friend' said, or whatever their relationship was now, Mizuki's eyes fell on Yuri. The girl she hated with passion. Standing up from her desk, Mizuki placed one hand on her hip and let her weight shift to that side as well.

"I can't believe I'm saying this but... I agree that Kane shouldn't be kicked out. You're not a god, Yuri, and this isn't your decision. You can hate Kane all you want, but taking such actions is immature and purely childish. Here I thought you were supposed to be somewhat of a representative of this class, but clearly you're not cut out for it."

Words of ice and the firm voice to compliment it. Mizuki's eyes were cold and it was clear that she disagreed with Yuri. It was practically written all over her face. Like hell she would let Little Miss Perfect [Yuri] over here decide on whether Kane should get kicked out or not.

[June 23nd, Early Morning | Hisakawa Academy, Main School Building, Classroom 2-A]

"I must say I am honestly surprised that the students in your class managed to knock out all of the other classes in the Sports Festival , considering there was a lack of superiority your sister normally held , Harrison-kun ." .

The blond male merely chuckled at the English Language teacher before replying , "Well , I guess you can say that my classmates preferred to reluctantly work together rather than end up as the proud hare in the race ." .

Having so many things happen this past few weeks had made the Russian-British man less prone to engage in a rebuttal , whether friendly or not . At the moment , his duties as a fellow Social Morals' Officer had prevented him from roaming around the school hallway , from his duties , or more like his secret rendezvous , and he was caught by a teacher of his and now , undoubtedly , he was engaged in a full conversation about his own definition of morals .

"Harrison-senpai...!" , a voice called out from the middle of the hallway as the footsteps of the owner of the voice had gotten louder .

The said male turned , along with his teacher who had an eyebrow raised as she caught sight of an underclass mate . Obviously Harrison's reputation of a ladies' man was not only circulated among the student body . "Now is not the good time , lass , I promise I will catch up with you later ." , the Social Morals' Officer said , with a charming smile , although it was awkward to have his educator witness the exchange .

"No , no , not that ! My friends...from Class 2-B said that....Nozomi-senpai and Kane-senpai are...going to fight each other ." , the female student panted out as she supported herself by leaning her hands on her knees .

A fight between Yuri and Leo ? That was impossible .

"What ? You must have heard wrongly . Yuri is not the type to indulge in anything violent or possibly is ." , his reply came out immediately .

"I'm not kidding ! It's true !" .

Having stayed quiet until now , the teacher was about to speak up , this time , she spoke in English , not wanting any rumors to spread about the Social Morals' Club and it's officers , "Mister Harrison , let me remind you that the school does not condone any fights whether verbal or physical , even if it involves your sister and-" . The blond cut her off with a bow before apologizing , "I'm sorry , teacher , but I have to go and I assure you that nothing of that sort is going on ." . With that , he rushed off down the hallway , leaving the two females to their own devices .

-

"....I don't see any logic in your...your...your stupid reason! And I refuse to agree with it!"

"Imada-san, you are in the way, please move aside."

Oh no , Yuri does not cut people off like that , just for the heck of it .

"...Here I thought you were supposed to be somewhat of a representative of this class, but clearly you're not cut out for it."

"Hold on ." , Johann Harrison reprimanded , in a stern voice , something he never did . This caused the chatter of some students to hush to a complete silence as he made his way through the crowd .

His eyes immediately landed on his sister before walking over to her , his playful and usually care-free demeanor not present , even by the slightest bit , "What is going on here , Yuri ? I heard from an underclassman that Kane and yourself are going to have a face-off , of a sort...is that true and if it is , why ?" .

The blond male prayed that it was not true . On one hand , he was definitely not the best of friends with Leo , but on the other , he needed to worry about his sister . He knew that Yuri was not the type to simply go about battling people and her moves were always calculated and executed in the best way possible that she may only affect herself and not the people around her . Therefore , he knew that there was an explanation to this havoc created . But he needed to hear it from her first .

Chiyo was happy that she wasn't the only one who agreed that this was craziness, even if she didn't truly agree with the last part of that statement. Smiling brightly at Mizuki, the peach-haired youth tried to convey her gratefulness in the look she gave her best friend.

"Imada-san, you are in the way, please move aside." Just those words alone caused said girl to go quiet, the phrase all too familiar as it brought up unwanted memories.
"You are in the way"
Her eyes watered just a tiny bit as she looked at Yuri, her friend? Was she useless once more, like all of those years before? Is there nothing that she can do to stop her?

This isn't right, it can't be right, Chiyo refused to believe it was right. Shaking her head a tad bit, she felt an unfamiliar feeling intrude her psyche, fiery hot and rebellious. Her gaze hardened along with her resolve as she looked- no, as she full on glared into blue hues. Her voice wasn't the usual voice her friends hear, nor the voice of when she is talking to strangers. Heck, this isn't even the voice she gave Robert West, somebody who she disagreed with often.

No, this voice was much more bold, not so much in a loud sense, but more like a strong. The rage she felt inside was a dead-giveaway, anybody could hear and see that the peach-haired girl with glasses had changed, the situation had brought out something in which made her voice more chilled and harsher than normal.

"No, Nozomi-san."

It was clear to Chiyo now that the white-haired representative in front of her now was not going to change her mind. If that was the case, then it was time for her to give up trying to change her, and instead take a different point of view. The chances of her winning a battle against Yuri were unlikely, so there was only one other option left before she went that route.

"If you're so adamant on kicking my best friend out of the class without a valid reason, then Mizuki's right. I will not stand aside and let you do this Nozomi-san, and I won't forgive you for this. If you keep on going down this path, then you can do it without me. I do not need a friend who doesn't care for her friend's opinions, and if that's the person you have decided to become then I'm sorry to say we can no longer be friends."

"Hold on ."
Johann reprimanded Mizuki in a stern tone, something which she rarely heard come out of the blond.
"What is going on here , Yuri ? I heard from an underclassman that Kane and yourself are going to have a face-off , of a sort...is that true and if it is , why ?" Now that is a great question, something which Chiyo was trying to say before, but now it doesn't really matter. No, the damage has already been done, and sadly for the glasses girl she cannot forgive Yuri.

"Do you feel a twinge of guilt about this? Or are you blindly charging into this. Damn the consequences huh? This is how you see it and you must be right because everyone else isn't...trustworthy? Competent? Clear-Minded? You? Yes Yuri, this will surely unite the class. By fear! and rumours, which of course will be fact but greatly exaggerated. " Leo clapped. "Genius"

"That or there is some sense of doubt in you in case you should really be listening to Chiyo. A friend. Especially someone who you should not be telling to just move. To just look past, as if her opinion didn't matter in the grand scheme of thins. Because that's exactly what your doing right now. And you should really stop that"

Chiyo turned around, not understanding a word that just came out of her fellow cat-lover. She tried to change her tone into something a little more pleasant as she talked to him, but the edginess was still there. "Leo-kun, if you really know what's best for you then you should just shut up now. Making more enemies than you already have is not the way to get yourself out of this situation. While I do thank you for the support, I'm afraid that if you say the wrong thing right now then I might just lose another friend. So please take a breather on this one, alright?"

This is great, all she really needs now is for Nao to make an appearance, and everything will be juuuusstttt orbital. [/fieldbox]

Of all the times for this to happen. Chiyo was the type to get like this when it was something the felt strongly about. Considering she was one of the people who looked at Kane in a positive light, there was a chance that this would happen. With her coming to Kane's defense, and digging in. 'We're not friends anymore' seemed to be what Chiyo's argument had become. But even after that, things only began to grow more complex as others began to bring themselves in onto the increasingly toxic scenario.

Mizuki took her shot at Yuri, which was the last thing Yuri would concern herself over. But then, another person came in. Hearing his voice was enough to catch Yuri's attention.

"What is going on here , Yuri ? I heard from an underclassman that Kane and yourself are going to have a face-off , of a sort...is that true and if it is , why ?"

Having Harisson show up was the one thing that did seem to dent Yuri's resolve. Shinji, more than anyone else could understand why. No sooner did Harisson finish that Kane let loose with his words once more.`

Chiyo interjected right after. Urging Leo to hush himself.

Yuri glanced over at Shinji. Maybe it was to see if he was going to say something. Or maybe it was because it seemed like the only supportive person for her in the room at that moment. Or maybe the rumor about her liking him was true? Well, few in the class were thinking about that at this point. Looking again at Kane and Chiyo in front of him Yuri responded back, plainly.

"I understand you being against this Imada-san. But it's just as you said. Kane-san has already made his enemies in this school. Additionally, a majority of them have appealed to the student council for him to answer for the things that he has been accused of doing. It's simply my function to see it get carried out."

Crossing her arms, Yuri continued onward. There wasn't any uncertainty on her face at this point. At this point, it seemed like the class was going to have to know.

"If you don't want me to decide Kane-san's sentence then that is fine. His alternative is to receive the letter of expulsion that I was supposed give him from the beginning. This letter coming straight from Hisakawa's School Board."

Yuri glanced back over to Harrison again. He undoubtedly would've been familiar with this decision, considering it went through the Social Morals Office itself. Understandably, Harisson probably was at a shock to see his sister handling things in such a way.

"I still don't know just how much of what those people say are true. But, just as I shouldn't dismiss your opinion, I cannot dismiss the testimony of those students, and the orders of the Social Morals Board. By this challenge, if I win Kane is punished in public, allowing my version of the reprimand goes froward, moving him to another class. And if Kane wins out... the original order will go through. Banishing him from the school forever."

Moving her gaze slightly up to peer at Kane just a little behind Chiyo, Yuri looked at Leo. This time, directly.

"So for once I will agree with you Kane-san. It is an execution."

It was at that moment, the doors to the classroom suddenly shut automatically. Though obscured, it was clear that there were people standing outside, watching what was going on outside.

The so called 'Victims' of Leo Kane. Deserving of Justice or a Victim of the System. What was to happen to Leo Kane here?

"If you think Kane-san been accused wrongly, you are free to try convincing the 19 people outside as to why they're all liars. The local school board committee is eager to hear what you or the others have to say in his defense."

A moment to test the bonds of friendship Leo Kane had with the people who viewed him positively. This all had the makings of a hopeless fight. But was defending their friendship a hopeless thing too?

The class wanted answers and reasoning. Both of those had now come in with all due force. Without a doubt, Leo Kane's actions had began to come full circle. Was Yuri's challenge worth taking at this point - would it even still be an option?
