I think Quill's onto something there. That was totally my first thought when reading these. xD

A light-fingered huntress is scraping a living in a huge field. Her accomplice is bitten by a otherworldly roc. With the help of an underfed hermit, she must risk life and limb in battle in order to save her fortune.

But... but she doesn't have a fortune if she's scraping a living. o.O

A virtuous guard is facing eviction in an enormous marsh. His sister is spirited away by a feral shapeshifter. With the help of a greedy thief, he must betray the king in order to save his reality.

This one seems to be the closest to an actual plot I've seen so far, actually.

An undead assassin is hunting in an arid village. His spouse is evicted by a supernatural sorceror. With the help of a light-fingered priest, he must face those inner demons in order to save his people from slavery.

An undead assassin and a priest working together? WhatisthisIdon'teven... XD
