The kiss had surprised Jocelyn, freezing her pen in mid-sentence. Her eyes shot over at Daniel, who was sitting calm, cool, and collected, as if nothing had happened, as if for some verification that that had really happened. A small smile spread across, her once flabbergasted face. Turning her attention back to the paper she began to write the notes, hoping that she portrayed the same chilled demeanor that Daniel had. She wasn't sure how to react, how to feel, what to think. Everything just jumbled together in her mind in a state of collective, and chaotic shock. This had never happened to her before. Jocelyn had never really been told by a guy that he had liked her.
