Actually, no. According to my professor, it's in the 20's. I'm about to do the calculations...

EDIT: Yep, it checks out. at 23 people the chance is already a bit more than 50%.

Oh, if its an expoential curve, then bithday problem makes sense. Its basically a modified oxygen-dissociation curve (only exponential instead of sigmoidal); eventually the probability of someone having your birthday reaches 100%. Since there's only 365 (not counting leap years) days in a given year, there's a fixed chance someone has your birthday. So the curve plateaus fast (probability reaches 100%).
