The dials were turned, pain unimaginable ripped through you and though it was over in an instance when you opened your eyes you could no longer find the Rune Stone or the leaf cloaked Kabbit. All that was left were paw prints in the soft soil leading you further down the path. A glint of crystal upon the inside of your right wrist sparkled with the color of your chosen element, and you could almost sense a presence within your mind, a soft noise or chitter perhaps. One thing was sure though you had started down the path of a Hero, and that presence in your mind told you to follow the paw print path into the forest further.

So you stood and took your direction from the presence and you made your way down the path. Soon enough the scenery changed and before long the path opened up to a great clearing filled to the brim with a small town. Though this town was unlike any you'd ever seen before, except maybe within story books. The streets were cobbled with soft rounded stones, the foliage here seemed wild and sprouted everywhere around the paths. The buildings were sometimes comical and other times a little worrisome in their designs; some built from Gigantic Mushrooms with dark red caps and chimney stacks teetering on top. Other houses were made from wood and held a more modern appeal. While lamp posts were made from wrought iron that held globes filled with glowing little bugs to minuscule to see their shapes and only their glow.

While it was all to much to see in one glance you felt your eyes drawn back to the paw print path and would notice it had stopped just at the entrance of the town. But to your own surprise the paw prints started walking forward again and the presence in your mind told you to walk on and follow it. So you would. After long you would enter the town's center were a great water fountain stood spouting many colored waters into it's basin and upon it's edge sat a woman cloaked in white and trimmed in gold.

Somehow without even knowing this woman you knew her name to be Evalithe and that she was the Grand Magician of this town and keeper of it's borders. She sat idly twirling a lock of silvery blonde hair while her dual colored eyes studied a book hovering just over her lap. She gave you a glance and smirked the most mischief of looks and then would hold a hand up "Patience the others should be along soon enough" She declared before returning to her readings. You were left to wonder why you had come to this center of the town, but would soon notice others arriving. Once everyone was within the center gathered about the fountain she looked up and smiled at everyone clapping her book shut.

"I'm glad you've all come and I have much to teach you but perhaps we should meet your HeartSoul's other half. To summon your familiar simply whisper their names and they will appear. Like so." She smiled and whispered her familiars name ~Ardika and Akidra~ Brilliant silver color collected around her wrist and suddenly the summon of two silver fish appeared swirling about her hand their fins were wisp like and feathery soft to look at, there were the summon of Pisces. Evalithe waited for them all to summon and then gave a sad smile. "I'm sure you have many questions. But perhaps take some time to get to know one another first and then when you are ready to start your quest come talk to me." She said then looked back down into her book almost in a dismissive manner.

Admin Notes!

Welcome to the beginning of the end~! O.O hehe No really we'll start this off casually and form up some small groups. I think we will have three groups for our beginning members! So meander about for a little while - get the feel of your characters and others characters too. Being in a group doesn't mean you can't later leave that group - if you so chose - but this will be for better and deeper character development. If you have any questions please post upon the OOC THREAD!

We will have NO POST ORDER (but please do not flood the rp ^.^ give everyone chances to post when we're in large group areas like this!) Also please do not use QUOTE or REPLY buttons - if you have interaction with another member within the thread use the @ tags at the end of your post ^.^ thank you all for joining!

Nina had blacked out from the pain that came with turning the dials. When she regained consciousness, she realized she had no idea where she was or if anyone would come to help her. She groaned as she sat up and held a hand to her head. This is not something a goddess has to go through, she thought as she stood back up, But perhaps that dial gave me new abilities to use. Hm, I wonder what they are?

She found herself gazing down at a paw print path and she felt something nudge her inside the mind to get going and follow it. She had no idea why, but she was compelled to listen to that feeling. The girl began to go down the path laid for them, wondering where in the world will it take her. Home? Was a kitten trying to lead her home? It was almost like the white rabbit from Wonderland luring Alice into the unknown! She giggled at the thought of a kitten leading the way with its paw prints.

As she approached the town, she couldn't help but blink in astonishment at the mushroom houses before grinning. "This is Wonderland! Awesome!" She ran into town and began exploring a little, despite the pull to continue where she had left off. There were so many things to look at, so many of them! And she couldn't get enough of it.

Somehow Nina found herself at the town center and stared in awe at the rainbow of colors spouting out from it. "Whoa, is this where rainbows are made?" she mumbled to herself as she looked on, initially ignoring the witch that was sitting there as she drew closer. Eventually she did notice her and was able to come up with a name and a role for the witch. She glanced around to see if anyone else was coming around.

~Ow Ow Ow!!!!~ Was all she could think at first as the pain ripped through her. But oddly enough even before she whimpered the last mental OW the pain was all gone. She blinked bright blue eyes and glanced about seeming to hunt for the source of her pain hoping to give back all that'd she'd just received. But to no avail she could find nothing but little paw prints leading the way further down the path. Sweeping a hand through her skewed black bangs she started to stand and tug her clothes back into place and dusting them all off. She stood for a moment watching those cute little paw prints move away and felt a critical brow slowly arching up. ~Really?~ She though and with a sigh decided what the hell might as well see where this leads.

She was rewarded the moment she stepped into the large clearing her blue eyes flicking every which way to take it all in at once. She was ... well flabbergasted what in the hell where was she!? She took a few calming breaths having to shut her eyes to keep them from glancing about then finally happened to look back to her little paw print leader. It was on the move again. She jogged to catch up with it - wanting to catch whatever invisible thing was leading her but no matter how fast she moved - even finally falling into a high speed run behind it - she couldn't catch the damned thing.

She was so intent on the tiny invisible demon that she almost nearly ran into the fountain. Skidding to a stop she held hands up at both sides waving them comically to keep her balance from teetering her straight into the multicolored waters. Finally regaining her stance she took a hesitant step back and looked towards the woman in white.

"Where'd tha ..." she started only to be shushed and told to wait. Really now how rude! She wanted to push the seeming witch back into the water.

But she noticed another girl meandering about just as she was. She sighed and folded legs cross ways and sat like a stubborn rock not to far from the witch and fiddled with the bright yellow crystal embedded in her skin - almost like she was trying to pick the thing out. Why should she have to wait! She didn't ask to come here... okay sure she chose on the dials but shit she didn't realize she'd be making a trip into crazy town. ~I mean come on!~ She thought looking at the Mushroom buildings and the fairy light lamp posts. She must be suffering a concussion or something right?

Finally the wicked witch in white addressed them and informed them of how to summon their ... HeartSoul? And she wondered what was her critter's name? She settled on it rather quickly almost like it'd spoken it's name to her and whispered softly at the crystal on her wrist "Inki..." Within a blink of an eye static electricity radiated from that yellow crystal on her wrist and in a moment a ball of electricity came springing out and bounced off the fountain off the ground then into her head before landing facing her was the tiny little ... rabbit thing?!??!?

Kaigyn rubbed her head. "Yep totally suffering a concussion ..." She said only to be answered by a tiny pip-squeak sound from the rabbit critter "So ... You're Inki I pressume?" she asked giving the little critter a critical look. It squeaked again and she reached out and poked it to validate it's presence. Then finally subcame to a melt down and dropped her head between hands propped on her knees and shook her head with her eyes squeezed shut "Nope... nope nope nope!" She said. Inki sprang up to settle on the back of her head and started to paw at her ponytail.

There was gunfire, a burning pain, worried shouts and the sound of glass breaking. Then, it was silent, no wind rushing by, no more additional pain, just grass and the overwhelming scent of flowers. There was dappled light shining down and above her leaves rustled in the gentle breeze. What happened? Where am I? Are Senilla and Drew alright, did they escape? I'm bleeding, need to see to the wound first, then worry about what happened. Even as she occupied herself with the observation and bandaging of the one gunshot wound -she was lucky it hit no where vital and was more of a flesh wound than anything- and the multitude of smaller scrapes and cuts from the glass she fell through, Gwyneira kept a wary eye on her surroundings. There was a general feeling of safety and peace, even comfort and joy, but one did not get to be her age without gaining some decent paranoia.

Her wounds taken care of, she stood and confirmed her suspicions. This was no Italia, this was not a high end office building and there certainly weren't enemy agents trying to capture or kill her. Her two teammates were also not in attendance. Concerned, Gwyn took a few steps and peered into the surrounding foliage for them. Though she did not find them, she did find a path and she did notice that while she should be panicking, no panic was to be found. Even worry and concern had started to melt away, nothing else seemed to matter if only she followed the path.

The further she walked, the more desire she felt to reach the end, til at last she entered into a clearing that had a strange yet welcoming dial centered in it. Feeling bidden to touch the monument, and with a worryingly lack of concern over whether she ought to be touching strange things in a strange place, she reached for the stone. Only to be halted by the sting of rapped knuckles from a staff wielded by a strange creature. Hissing, Gwyn pulled her hand back and shook her head, clearing away the fog as the Kabbit? spoke.

Soul in half? Heart's Companion? Stay and fight a war? Or return home? For once since her arrival her thoughts were clear. To spin meant to stay and never return home, or she could return home and forget all about this strange place and dial that called. She knew she ought to return, yet at the same time, something urged her to stay, to make a choice and to fight to protect the place she once called home. She made her choice, and hoped that her parents would understand. The dial was spun, and Gwyn knew pain once more.

When she opened her eyes again, the stone was gone and so was the Kabbit thing, all that remained were paw prints leading away and a lightly glowing crystal on her right wrist. She debated on following the tracks, but it was the throbbing ache of her left shoulder that made the decision for her. Hopefully the tracks would lead her to a town or somewhere where she could see a doctor. The tracks did lead her to a town, but it was the strangest town she had ever seen. Mushroom houses? Precariously built towers? Lamps filled with little...glowing bugs? I am not in Italy anymore...As if the creature and Rune stone and this crystal growth weren't clues enough...What did I agree to? And why?

She took her time looking around though one eye was kept on the tracks and the invisible source of those tracks. There was a draw towards the center of the town where she could see a fountain with...rainbow water? Was it even water? Eventually she made her way to the fountain, spotting a young girl and another closer to her own age already waiting there. There was also a...Grand Mage sitting there reading a book.

Gwyneira stood a respectable distance from the other two and took note of each one's likely abilities, only paying half attention to the mage. The summoning of two fish like creatures, caught her attention and she narrowed her eyes down at the crystal embedded in her own wrist, a quick glace at the others showed that they too had crystals. Did everyone here have them, and did all the crystals summon something? That...that could make combat a pain...What is my familiar's name? What is my Familiar? At her thoughts, a single name came forward accompanied by a rumbling purr that was closer to a growl in her mind.

"Erynion." She whispered, rolling the name around in her head and feeling it come out of her mouth. It was strange, different, and had a slightly musical quality to it. Unbidden, the pale purple gem emitted a fine lavender mist which consolidated and took the form of a young tiger. A purple and cream tiger. A tiger that padded up to her and twined around her legs, a rumbling purr making itself heard and felt.

"You are Erynion? You are my familiar? I guess...I guess you will be my new teammate here?" Gwyneira knelt down and ran a mildly shaking hand down the tiger cub's back, confirming that once again this was not Italy and this was not the life she was used to. She felt a pang of loss but shoved it aside, there would be time later to deal with her new reality. Erynion reared up and placed his paws on her knee, gazing up at her with dark purple eyes, eyes that conveyed comfort and companionship, eyes that told her that not all was lost.

Rose had been on vacation, alone at the edge of the sea where it met the cliffs. She had been watching the ocean and a herd of wild horses that were on the beach far below, taking pictures of them when she stepped wrong or something. The memory was unclear. One moment she was there the next she was in a clearing and looking up at the dappled sunlight through the leaves overhead. Had she fallen? But there weren't any trees around, how did that happen? Rose stood and looked around as she dusted herself and her camera off.

Something seemed to call to her through the scent of the flowers and this land, so she followed the path, searching until she saw the dial. Curious, she moved forward, reaching for it then drawing her hand back quickly when she had her knuckles hit. She looked at the strange creature, studying it as she listened to the words spoken then the creature disappeared in a whirl of lights. Rose looked back to the stone, pausing for a moment before choosing the runes that called to her the most.

Pain assailed her, making Rose pass out for a short time. She blinked and looked around, noticing that the runestone was gone and as she sat up, noticing the paw prints. Had a creature visited her and walked away? She wondered as she got up again. Shrugging she started to follow, noticing the stone in her wrist and looking at it as she walked until she could see the strange village ahead. "Odd" She murmured and headed for it, still following the strange tracks that led her onward.

When she reached the fountain there were already others there, so she stayed a little back from them and stared all around at everything she could see until the woman in white and gold poke, drawing her attention back once more. She looked to the stone on her wrist again, whispering the name that came to mind "Mist" She gasped as the dark mist came out of her gem then formed the horse shape in front of her. It was the size of a pony, but she wasn't concerned about that. She had a horse that had formed as if from her thoughts. She reached out to stroke a hand along Mist's neck, bonding with the dark horse before looking around at the others there shyly. Of course her other half was a horse, skittish when she didn't know anyone yet. Could she gather the courage to speak to any of them? Maybe the dark haired girl with a...rabbit? and her head in her hands, or the platinum haired girl with a tiger...maybe not. She pet Mist again, looking to the others half in curiosity though she would drop her gaze if they looked back.

God damn... Red blinked and held his head as he looked around with a narrow eyed wincing expression. This was not the factory, and chances were he had been ran over or something because he fell asleep on a pallet. Though, how he would have been ran over was anyone's guess.

Slowly he stood up, eying the foliage and finally finding paw prints. Not being much of a nature guy, he couldn't tell what animal made them but he didn't think he wanted to find out. The problem was, he had this weird urge to follow the things.

Red tried to go the other way, but faltered as his head started pounding more.

"Fine! Jeez..." He grumbled before turning and following the paw prints. "I'm doing this outta protest though!"

Eventually he entered the... Town? There were doors and chimneys on this mushrooms, so he assumed they were supposed to be houses and a cluster of houses was some kind of town right? The paw prints led him in further until he reached a fountain with a woman, and his attention was no longer on the paw prints. He started grinning, and luckily she spoke before he could make a fool of himself. All around the fountain were others who looked like they'd been pulled from a variety of different tasks and environments.

Unfortunately, he missed most of the speech. But as he stood there blankly, a name came to his mind.

"Smokey?" he said, unsure and feeling a little dumb for it. But as soon as he said it, there was a blast of heat and then a cat like creature stood before him.

Leon, it purred.

"Uh... Smokey?" Red questioned the cat that spoke in his head. There was a pleased feeling as the cat was recognized, and he relaxed with an exhale. "Call me Red, mate."

The pair looked around as others met their partners, and then Red shrugged before moving towards an area that looked like a good spot to lay out and maybe finish that nap that brought him here. As he laid down the cat approached and sprawled out next to him with a yawn, purring against him. Apparently they both felt had the same thought, though Red never closed his eyes. Instead he watched the others, seeing what they did. He was at a loss considering he missed most of the woman's speech. He'd follow their lead, if anyone actually did anything but stand around.

Paisley sat cross-legged in a field on a woven reed mat welcoming the flow of energy that nature provided while she did her Kundalini meditation, liberation kriya to be specific. Her focus was on her pranayama breathing, working on controlling her energy and aligning her chakras. This meditation she needed because it provided a fresh start, renewed her spirit. The chaos of the world was sapping her energy, she felt negativity rising inside her. Reaching up to her chest, she grasped the smokey quartz pendant of her necklace. All her negativity was stored in that pendant and away from her inner being. A peaceful smile pulled across her lips. About this time, a gentle breeze caressed her cheek.

After letting out a deep breath, Paisley opened her eyes not to find herself in the field but sitting cross-legged at the end of a path that trailed into woods. Paisley was not worried about how she got here or why she was brought here – she just embraced it. Pushing off the ground, she wiped her hands over her light washed bell bottoms and faced this new adventure head on. This was her fresh start!

The trail through the woods seemed to have ended all too soon. She let out a small sigh of sadness, already feeling the brilliant energy of the tree trail fading. The slight disappointment she felt didn't last horribly long since a stone tablet caught her attention. Once at the table, the time seemed to fly by ending with the spin of a dial and breathtaking pain.

Gasping for air, Paisley closed her eyes for a quick session of meditation to calm herself and control her intake of air. When everything felt tranquil within her, she opened her eyes, gaze falling to the ground in front of her, noticing what seemed to be paw prints in the dirt that led her farther down the trail with a whispering in her mind that seemed to be beckoning her to move forward. Of course she blazed on ahead without a second of hesitation. Suddenly the path opened up into a village – a most peculiar of villages. Paisley wanted to stop to take in all the scenery, look at the unique architecture, and feel the thriving energy this place had to offer. But, her invisible tour guide had other plans as it moved forward towards a fountain.

The fountain was a thing of dreams! Well, the whole town was, but the fountain with its multicolored water definitely was the highlight. Paisley could have stood there looking into the glittering water for hours, but the soft swish of a turning page got her to look away. A brilliantly dressed woman, Evalithe, sat there seeming as if she hadn't a care in the world, only stopping to tell Paisley others would be coming. There already were a few others standing about, but Evalithe must have known there were more. So, Paisley contented herself with looking back at the fountain until she got startled with the woman's book snapping shut.

HeartSoul? Summoning my familiar? Paisley cocked her head at these words, blue tipped hair cascading to her right side. What was this woman on about? Whatever it was absolutely thrilled Paisley! She watched intently as Evalithe spoke soft words, a glowing coming from her wrist. Furrowing her brow, Paisley looked down to see a smokey gem embedded in her own left wrist, looking similar to the pendant hanging around her neck. Wanting to know what her summons was, Paisley closed her eyes and turned her focus inwards; that same whisper of a voice skittered through her mind. Umbra. Quietly, Paisley spoke the name, the smokey looking gem in her wrist darkened, a shadow flooding out of it, flowing like a brook until it took on a shape and solidified, a pair of white eyes staring back at her.

This… this couldn't be right. How could a darkness come out of her? She was the least negative person she knew! Nothing ever ruffled her feathers, and if it did it was only slightly. Anger wasn't something she held onto and there were never ill thoughts towards people. But yet, her other half was a shadow, a darkness that got pulled from her. Deep breath in – hold – slow breath out. Slowly, she unruffled her slightly ruffled feathers and worked through accepting her familiar. But, the moment her little Umbra bumped her muzzle against the palm of Paisley's left hand, Paisley melted. Leaning over, she slid both her hands on either side of Umbra's jaw, pressing her nose against the little filly's.

Nina could see others approaching the area, a couple of females and a male. She would have thought they were turning to magical girls if it weren't for the one guy. But then again, she was the descendant of a goddess, which meant she had powers that the rest didn't have. It was nice to know she was above the rest.

She glanced at the girl, Evalithe, and watched with wide eyes as she summoned two silvery fish that floated around in the air. She was in awe of it, and it seemed that she, too, was in possession of that power. She frowned as she wracked her brains for the proper name to call her familiar. Already she could see others doing the same and it frustrated her that she would be one of the last to do so.

Eventually she gave up on thinking of a name and just said a random word. "Saia," she murmured, pausing as she realized that what she just said wasn't an actual word. She blinked as she looked around the area, scanning it with shining eyes. That was most likely her familiar's name, so where was it? She heard the ringing of a tiny bell close to her feet and she looked down.

The creature seemed to be as big as a mouse, with blue colors and lightning bolts on its fur. At the end of its tail was a ball that jingled every time it moved. Frowning, she bent down to get a closer look at the creature. Was this her familiar? Was its name Saia? "Hi..." she greeted before sneezing. She wiped her nose as the creature squeaked and ran around in circles, causing her to smile. Cute... she thought to herself as she held a hand for it to climb on. It did so quickly and began to scurry up to her shoulders. There was another sneezing fit from her. ...Am I actually allergic to my familiar? she thought to herself, ...That sucks. She glanced at the creature and sneezed again, causing it to squeak.
