Harry Potter: Next Generation "Potter's Heir" Contest

Welcome to my Harry Potter: Next Generation Roleplay. Here, you can create a Hogwarts student and attend Hogwarts alongside the children of Harry and Ginny, Hermione and Ron, and more!​

In this RP, James and Albus Potter, alongside Rose Weasley and Scorpius Malfoy, create an students-only, underground, secret competition -- a competition which will determine who is the greatest student at Hogwarts. The competition is called Potter's Heir, named after, of course, Harry Potter. The competition entitles a series of smaller contests, and a score is kept in the Room of Requirement. At the end of the school year, whoever has the most points will be crowned Potter's Heir, and will join James, Albus, Rose and Scorpius the next year to determine the next Heir.​

I will be acting as James, Albus, Rose and Scorpius (with the two last dating, as I utterly ship Scorose), and I will also make a character, who will have one the previous Potter's Heir. I will be filling out forms for James, Albus, Rose and Scorpious below, just so you can grasp my idea of these characters. Oh, and also, this RP is set in 2019 (James's fifth year, Albus, Rose and Scorpius's third year, Hugo and Lily's first year).​

Personality: James is known for is bad timing and feels the need to interfere with other people's love lives. He loves making mischief and teasing his friends and siblings, and has inherited Fred and George's sense of humor. He also loves causing trouble, like his two namesakes.​

Strengths: James is very charismatic, and is excellent with people and at making friends. James is good at Defence Against the Dark Arts, Charms and Transfiguration, and is an outstanding Quidditch player, like his father, although he is a Chaser rather than a Seeker, like his grandfather.​

Weaknesses: James procrastinates a lot, which prevents him from completing the majority of his homework. He only commits himself to things he actually wants to do. Although he is a kind person at heart, he sometimes doesn't take other people's feelings into consideration.​

Other information: James is the unofficial leader of the four competition founders. He took a favourite the previous year to Savannah, although he didn't help her win the competition in the slightest. He asked her out at the end of the previous year, and they frequently saw each other over the summer, as the Potters and the Lynchs live close by one another. Savannah is the thing James takes the most seriously, over even Quidditch.​

Where James tries to make the competition as hard as possible for the competitors, Albus manages to convince him to go easy on them and create simpler contests.​

Strengths: Albus is very intellectual and achieves great marks in all of his classes. His kindness make him approachable, and though he doesn't make millions of friends, like James, he has made a few real friends over the years.​

Weaknesses: As Albus prefers to remain silent, his ideas are sometimes not heard.​

Personality: Rose is academically brilliant, like her mother. She is devoted and committed to anything she sets her mind to. She is also rather competitive: she and her boyfriend, Scorpius, playfully compete with each other academically. Rose is extremely mature for a thirteen-year-old, as she is in a serious relationship and is often appointed as the leader of groups in class by her teachers.​

Strengths: Rose is academically talented and very mature for her age. She seems to have inherited both traits from her mother.​

Weaknesses: Rose's obsession with succeeding has sometimes prevented her from having the fun a young person needs. Though, her boyfriend Scorpius has been encouraging her to enjoy herself more, as, though he is, too, very driven, he likes having fun.​

Other information: At the end of the previous year, on the train to Platform 9 3/4, Scorpius asked Rose out. Rose accepted, and they shared the news with Rose's parents. Although Hermione was happy, Ron was not. Though he did not forbid the relationship, he did rant for the entire trip back, and then he continued to unnecessarily bring up the subject over the summer. Though, at the end of the summer, he told Rose he trusted her, and he trusted Scorpius to look after her, though if he heard Scorpius was doing anything wrong by her, he would take care of it. They finished the summer on good terms.​

Strengths: Scorpius is academically excellent, and is very kind to everyone, atypical of his family. He is also incredibly mature.​

Weaknesses: Scorpius is determined to be not like what his father was at his age, so sometimes he can be a little too kind or trusting.​

Other information: When Scorpius left the Weasleys at Platform 9 3/4 and rejoined his family, he was coolly aware of his father's radiating disapproval, where his mother was simply happy for her son. Though Draco never mentioned his son's relationship with a Weasley, Scorpius could always tell his father didn't approve. ​

Personality: Savannah is kind and gentle, and would never hurt a fly. She is best in her year in every class, closely followed by Rose Weasley and Scorpius Malfoy. While Savannah is kind, she is brutally competitive, which is a contributing factor to her winning the first Potter's Heir. Savannah has a nerdy, but funny, sense of humor, and she loves to do just about everything. She is very happy, bright and bubbly. ​

Strengths: Savannah is academically superior and aces all of her classes. Her happy personality makes her likable, so she is good at making friends. She is driven and patient, which makes her able to keep her relationship with the sometimes-ignorant James steady.​

Weaknesses: Savannah is horrible at flying and Quidditch.​

Other information: Savannah is a Metamorphmagus, which is how she has pink hair. Her mother is a Muggle and her father is a wizard, so she is a half-blood. She loves wearing makeup. Her mother sends her a package of makeup every month, as she cannot buy it anywhere around Hogwarts.​

She had secretly been crushing on James for a year before he asked her out, and when he did, she was over the moon. ​

Lynnette is a weird girl, taking after her mother, Luna Scamander (formerly Lovegood), quite a bit. Having been raised by her it was rather impossible for her not to pick up a few of her strange quirks. He two younger brothers and father kept her quite a bit more grounded then her mother ever was, however. She's surprisingly bright for one with her head in the clouds. She kind enough, but not free of a temper. She's always been a team player, but never a follower. She marches to the beat of her own drum.​

Name: Seraphina Semine Prince

Favourite Class: Transfiguration

Personality: Insecure sums up a big part of her. She is quiet and not one to show off much. She bows her head and lets people say what they want about her, refusing to retaliate and very slow to anger or action. She often feels insufficient, weak, and useless, and that often makes it difficult for her to make friends with other people. As her family worries about this, her brother pressured her into going into the competition. He is probably the only person who could, as she surprisingly enough also has a strong stubborn streak. Her hatred of public speaking is probably only surpassed by her hatred of guns and of ghosts.

Appearance: She has waist-length black hair that she keeps in a simple knotted ponytail (a ponytail that looks tied into a knot at its base), and very pale skin. Her eyes are dark brown, and appear slightly Asian, less in-set and slightly sharper than most Caucasians. She has a very small frame and build, measuring at 4'5" and 81lb (she's 12, remember?), and soft, rounded features, with high cheekbones. The slightly more Asian attributes are due to a Japanese great great great grandmother somewhere. Her brother is much taller and teases her incessantly.

Strengths: She's a very fast flier and loves to do acrobatic experiments on the broom - something Madame Hooch really hated about her classes with her. She's really sad now that she's no longer got flying classes, but doesn't believe herself good enough to get onto the Quidditch team, and her family isn't wealthy enough to get her a good broom, anyways. She is also a fairly good potions maker and lets insults slide off her back. She's also a good singer.

Weaknesses: She's not good with people, though she is okay with animals, and is especially poor at charms, hexes, and other magic that requires quick reflexes. They stress her out, and she often messes up. She's also bad at most sports, for this reason, and is poor at writing essays and explaining things in an organized fashion. Worst of all, she's afraid of ghosts. She hates History of Magic with a passion surpassing even what her bored classmates feel. Herbology is not exactly her best subject. Plants seem to like her far less than animals do.

Other information: She is a Parselmouth (I don't see why they're so incredibly rare anyways) and asked the Sorting Hat to put her in Slytherin because she heard Mister Slytherin was also one. She only ever feels confident about herself when she's on a broom or clambering over things. Her family goes full rugged-style camping for a week out of every year, which may explain her love of nature and her comfort with animals and the stars. She is familiar with the basic constellations, but doesn't intend to take Divination next year. I think the most important fact to know about her is that she has one Muggle older brother and had a Muggle younger brother. Her younger brother was shot and killed in a shooting when she was eight and he was six. He was hugging her when it happened, and incidentally may have saved her life because of it. The wandmaker that carelessly thrust the wand into her hand explained that it was probably for this reason that she could use a thestral hair wand. She still doesn't really get it.​
