=====================================================================================
In the year 2020, the inevitable destruction of humanity looms. Terrorism and wars are at an all time high, a state of anarchy is spreading across the globe like wildfire, and villains from lore and legend are emerging to attack innocent people throughout the globe, each striving to establish their own domain. The god's themselves have become divided, with one side supporting the chaos and feeding it, and yet another side opposed to it, then with a third neutral party, determined to let the other gods hash the battle out, and fix whatever is left.

The evil gods have been the ones summoning the villains from myth and legend to battle. Those such as Morgan Le fay, Mordred, and Vlad the Impaler being among them.

However, the gods who have sided with the good have begun drawing heroes from the past to battle these villains. Heroes such as King Arthur, Lancelot, Merlin, and other members of the great legends of heroes are emerging to do battle with the great evil that besets the world. These heroes have been given newer, younger reincarnated forms, and sent to a place known as the Hero's Banquet Hall, an uninhabited island which has been repurposed to serve as a training and staging area for the new force of heroes.

Together with regular soldiers from the nations of the NATO pact, the Heroes of the past have been preparing to take the battle once more to the enemy. Only one side can win. Order or Chaos.

Hello, I have a few things I'd like you to know before you continue any further.

First off, this rp has minimum requirement of one paragraph (5-7 complete sentences) per post with a character, so if your not willing to satisfy that condition, my recommendation is to go ahead and click out, it just isn't worth wasting your time.

On that note however, assuming you do create a character it is important to note that it becomes "canon"
permanently, even if you leave this rp and vow never to return to it, please understand that I will be using them as a GM tool from there on out. If you don't think you could handle someone else using your creation after you leave, it's probably best not to look past here.

On a third note, as there will be minors involved, there will be a zero tolerance for any libertine type roleplaying. That isn't to say you don't have your cutesy hand holding, and maybe up to a bit of kissing, but for goodness sakes, if you wouldn't want your mother to read it, don't put it here.

And on a fourth and final note, there will never be a limited amount to the amount of rpers that are capable of
participating in this rp.

Thanks for reading.

Rules:
 1. The usual Iwaku rules
 2. No metagaming, godmodding, or creating Mary Sue characters. (I believe this is self explanatory)
 3. As stated in the disclaimer, always make certain you have a minimum of one paragraph (5-7 complete sentences) in your posts. However, i'd also like for it to be good quality as well, don't just shitpost, even if it takes you a bit to post
 4. If you plan to curse, do it sparingly, or if you plan to make a character that falls under the "CursesAlltheTimeforNoParticularReason" category, make sure it's a light swearing, avoid F-bombs, and higher tier swears. Because precision F-strikes work so much better.
 5. Include the name of your character at the top of your post, that way we know just whom your posting with. It should look like this:
Name of character

Post: posiknaonfonaksoif. oamsinf uanojkenf naiunf ksfn. inaoisnf inaosjnfolainnsf mia mniosnfais nnkvianmsof inaosjnf lkjkn kamsimf imai ijminmkajnso. kmiansijnf km iansi kmanjsnkfn im, kjnknajks.

 1. If you post in character, make sure you wait two posts before you go about posting again.
 2. IC drama should not become OOC drama, if you have a problem with a recent post or facts, or spotted something I missed, please make sure to notify me in pm, I will solve the problem accordingly.
 3. I feel as this is a very important thing to state, A GM's word is law. Please do not attempt to defy myself or any GM that I choose to work with me.
 4. Use common sense. If it isn't in the rules, but you think it's probably something you shouldn't do, don't do it. Better to ask me first.
 5. At the bottom of your character sheet please post a color of your choice to show you have read the rules.
 6. Good grammar and spelling is a must! If need be, you can run it by @conman2163, for help with spelling.

We have two systems for combat here. The first main one, which is the classic, on your honor, acknowledge the hits your opponent makes system, and a secondary optional system, that if given a majority vote in favor, allows the system to be used, the system is as follows

Combat Hit System

To keep things fair and ensure no problems occur out of people going back and forth attacking, The person who initiates an attack will roll a single die, using the "more options" tab, in the OOC in a post they make there. The number you roll will determine if it the attack lands, and if it lands, whether or not you get the full hit you describe. For these purposes, there will be no "one hit KO" unless the person taking the hit wants it to end that way, however, successive hits will mean that you are forcibly incapacitated by the GM if you don't acknowledge the damage. (The human body can only do so much ya know?) What you roll determines what you get, and this is the scale.

1 = a Critical Fail

2-5 = Fails how you interpret this fail is up to you

6-10 = You got it, but missed some details or something, what is missed is determined by defender, though it can't be too many things.

11-15= This is the middle of the road, little to no failure

16-19 = Little to no failure

20= Epic Moment

The person who makes the attack can roll a die, determining whether or not that hit lands. However, to keep everything equal, if the number that the person who attacking rolls is undesireable. Say they got an epic moment, the person defending from the hit may "reroll" the die in the OOC. However, the number that is rolled will take a +3 penalty modifier, meaning that even if you roll high, it could still have a chance to take you up on the scale, and therefor hurt you. Risk = Reward but Risk = Penalty too.

Prior to creating your character, check the bottom of this sticky post to see what legends and myths have been taken. In this RP, all legends and mystical heroes in every existing religion and lore exist. Please avoid any "Biblical" Type heroes though, I will not approve them to prevent arguments.

Appearance: (A preferably anime, fantasy, or drawn type picture, though I suppose a "Real Person" picture will do.)

Name:

Age:

Gender:

Weapon/tool: (It doesn't have to be something that harms someone else. Maybe you can support someone/something with your weapon? Maybe you have a weapon already associated with your character?)

Power: (This ability should start of as relatively low in power for plot and advancement reasons. Plot wise your character was just summoned from the afterlife to fight in a war, and them being summoned will take a lot out of them. They'll have to work their way up. If you'd like an example starting power, this would be it:

Subject A has the ability to summon fireballs at will. They can summon and throw up to three of these fireballs in a single post. However, summoning these fireballs takes a lot out of them, so they can only summon a maximum of twelve in a single battle)

Skills: (Are you a good tactician? Are you great at counting cards? Perhaps you are a great cook?)

Personality: Minimum of twenty words please.

Bio/legend: (You do not have to use a person from a legend if you don't want. You can create your own original character; a legend from the future or present, here as well. If you choose this route a bio with a minimum of 40 words is needed. If not, a link of the legend will suffice)

So it may be confusing over how your character will get more powerful. When you character trains under his/her respective founder, after the end of each training session I will post a list of characters that are eligible for being upgraded power wise. Every time you upgrade you character you can choose either to add an extra ability that must start out on a base level, or to choose to up your current power a bit. So if you had a character who was able to throw fireballs to start with goes up in experience, no instead of just throwing one, maybe they can throw four, or if they could already throw multiple, maybe now they explode on contact with a surface.

It sounds a bit confusing now, but if you have more questions I'll answer them when the time comes for you to "upgrade" your character (Or just PM me of course), you'll post the following when you get to upgrade or add an extra ability.

Previous Power:

Upgraded power/ Added Ability:

Then from there I'll approve it or ask you to modify it.
But once again, you won't need to worry about it in the beginning. (Not that the "beginning" will last too long)

Alright then. You could use these characters if you want to. Have some more villains and baddies.

Since I got the OK to join, I'm going to throw out a classic XD Always wanted to try this one.

And making it a female due to the man-fest going on in here.

Old English accent, red hair, green eyes, pale skin.

Name:
Merlin
(Melina)

Age:
24-28

Gender:
Female

Weapon/tool:
Sword and/or daggers, magic, a staff (can be summoned)

Power:
Merlin is a sorceress. In her time alive, she had great magical abilities, from small telekinesis to slowing/stopping time and even foresight of the future among many other things. Now that she has come back her abilities are limited for the time being until she gains more strength. She does possess a staff which she can summon at almost any time - this can help direct her spells and make them more powerful. She is currently capable of small telekinetic tasks and minor spells. The more she casts over a long period of time, the stronger her ability will become.
She is currently able to cast 3 small spells (i.e. object movement, minor fire creation) in 1-2 posts
OR
1 moderate spell every 3 posts (i.e. short-term and mild transmutation – change in appearance of the same species)

Skills:
Skilled in sword-fighting, staff-fighting, horseback riding, and cooking.

Personality:
Merlin is an oddly clumsy person. She attempts to appear mature and put-together but often finds herself tripping over things, running into people, and just getting caught in oddly bad-luck situations. Despite the oafishness, she has a pretty positive outlook on most things in life and tries to stay upbeat. Every once in a while she will get a serious hair and can show a very solemn side to herself – mostly when violence is involved. She considers herself a morally just person and has always tried to be on the side of good and help those less fortunate. The woman is quite innocent in the ways of men which can make her seem almost air-headed at times. Obviously Merlin comes from a time when women had little to no power. She's less likely to challenge a man's word but can quickly become rather feisty when she feels strongly about something.
Merlin is a typical, old-fashioned girl in many ways; she enjoys looking at pretty things such as dresses and flowers, and finds shiny things to be mesmerizing. She likes spending time with people and flourishes in appropriate social situations.

Bio/legend:
The legend everyone has heard of Merlin the Sorcerer who aided King Arthur to the throne of Camelot. Except Merlin has always actually been a woman and her given name was Melina. Many of the stories written about her, described as a male sorcerer, were done under transmutation spells to make her appear male – this was when she adapted the name Merlin. During the time she was alive, sorcery was outlawed and dangerous so she took many measures to not be found out. But just as the legends say, she was indeed the person to help Arthur to succeed the throne of Camelot, though this was not her sole intention, and fought in many battles in order to rid her land of evil. She lived long enough to see the land's greatest king rise and fall, keeping to the shadows to help her homeland grow and prosper with the abilities she had. In the end, she died by the name Merlin, deciding that she had liked it better than her given name anyway.

Likes:
Horses, reading, sorcery, cooking, and human kindness (world peace!).

Dislikes:
Wrongdoers/those who prey on the weak, people with superiority complexes, and cabbage.

I think that while the minor and moderate spells are acceptable, I'll need you to hold off the large spell until the first upgrade. Additionally, i'd like you to increase the cooldown for the moderate spells.

Noted. Will edit.

Done.

I'd also like to have a sort of "sub-story" for my character, wherein he was resurrected a little while before the others were, and was given the opportunity to join the villains, if that's fine. :)

@conman2163 I'm finished changing all the duration pertaining to seconds into posts.

@Accellerator

Your approved. Go ahead and make your post in the IC, and then i'll be making a GM post and we'll be getting the ball rolling on the event.

Yes, please do.

This looks really interesting. Though a question, Since some things have been so prevalent across all mythologies (Dragons among them) Is it possible to Generalize them as some kind of creature of legend rather than a legend themselves. IE, Yes, there are many, many legendary dragons, some with names, some without, some who are good, some who are evil. therefore is it possible to use that mythos (The dragon mythos as it were) to create a character who is unique?

Across all history there have not only been great men, but great creatures. Legends, Myths, Monsters, Mounts.
Gleipnir, Phoenix, Demons, Angels, Elementals, Sacháyoj, The list is endless. But no matter where you look, one creature exists in all places. The Greatest of all beasts, That which the mightiest of hunters can fell, and the greatest of heroes ride upon. A master of not just one realm, but a creature of Fire, and Air. The Hunter in the Sky. A Dragon.
Dragons have been portrayed as good, bad and all shades between. Sometimes they follow their own way, choosing not the side of good or evil but whatever side happens to provide the greatest protection or freedom. Sometimes they have the strongest moral compass of us all and despise any and all injustices. Sometimes they only serve themselves and have destroyed entire civilizations for no good reason. No matter what sort of dragon they are, they all have a fire coursing through their veins and regal strength that comes only from being the greatest of all mythical creatures.
And so now, here once again when the forces of good and evil do battle, Dragons pick sides. they chose one by one who they will side with. Good, Evil Or watching in the shadows, only to emerge at the last moment to join the side they see as the right one. And like with every great battle between good and evil, new heroes arise, new villains are born and new dragons show their faces.
As For with Heros and Villains, There must be Dragons, And those who try and slay them.

Appearance:
dragon_hybrid_by_adventdeo-d1ydbw6.jpg

Name:
Siberys Eberron

Age:
In this incarnation: 23
In Reality: Several Thousand years old.

Gender:
Male

Weapon/tool:
He Lacks a Weapon or Tool, Having been a dragon for so long he dislikes the feel of metal in his hands, Rather he is a practitioner of several martial arts, and a master of several others.

Power:
Dracomorphism: The Slow transformation of one in to a dragon and the ability to return to a all human form at will.
Rather than having an ability or mighty power like any great hero, a dragon's power is just that. to be a dragon. A dragon in its full glory has not just scales like steel but great strength and talons like swords, but a dragon's might is not just in its brute force alone, for dragons are magical creatures and can cast great spells should the desire be upon them, this isn't to mention the flames that would melt metal and stone should they be turned upon them.
However summoning in to a human body isn't very good for all that power, and most of it gets stuck somewhere between the old self and the new self, just sitting around being useless.
So over time Siberys slowly transforms in to his old self, a real dragon. The most interesting thing about this is that Siberys can revert the changes at will and suppress them to become a human again, releasing them back in to existence at a moments notice.

List of Current Dragon Abilities & transformations:

Wings - Slow flight, max speed = running speed.
Tail - Not Spiked
Claws - Not Large, Still Humanoid.
Armoured Scales - Only On transformed Areas
Dragon's Speed - The ability to React and move faster than a normal person by a marginal amount. (The normal human reaction time is about 0.25 seconds to about 0.15. His reaction time is about 0.05)

List of Dragon Abilites & Transofrmations Not Yet gained:

Increased Flight Speed x2
Dragon Magic Low - Small spells
Dragon Magic Medium - Normal Spells
Dragon Magic High - Powerful Spells
Dragon Fire - Flame breath + Immunity to fire
Armoured Scales General - on all areas
Dragon's Bite - Includes facial transformation
Dragon's Strength
Razor Claws - Claws can now not only damage armour but outright shred it as if it were paper.

Full Transformation - Requires ALL of the above

Full Transformation Augments (Additional things that can be gained, but only for Full Transformation and only after gaining it):
Dragon Magic Grand - The Greatest of spells
Size Increase x3 - Normal size is that of a large 4x4, +1 increase is up to a bus +2 increase is up to the size of a medium house. +3 increase is up to a 'True Dragon' size.
Magic Rending Claws - Claws can now destroy magical enchantments if enough physical force is applied.
Hunter In The Sky - Can Fly in All Weather and ignores the effects of it
Elemental Shift - A PERMANENT change in the dragon's element to one of the following: Ice/water, Lighting/Air, Acid/Earth.

NB: Dragon Magic's must be taken in sequence, starting at low. so no jumping right to high magic.

1242993_75500_large.jpg

Skills:
Appraisal: Dragons know value. they just do, Its something about them. Siberys is no different, He can tell the value of anything at a glance and know most things about it after a cursory examination.
Mental acuity: Dragons love riddles and puzzles, Siberys is no exception to the rule, this has caused his mental faculties to be much better at puzzle solving and analytical thinking than they have any right to be.
The fine arts: A dragon has much free time on its hands (claws?) and so how does one spend this time? counting the treasure hoard? mastering more arts of destruction? Hunting on the wing? for Siberys this was spent learning of the fine arts, music, painting and poetry as much as it was spent hunting and acquiring new wealth. And so he not only has a ear for good music and a eye for pleasing colours and architecture but he considers himself somewhat proficient at creating them as well.
Martial Arts: Siberys took his time in mastering martial arts, or at least learning it as best he could. finding the idea of weapons distasteful.

Personality:
Siberys is like most dragons, regal and proud, but unlike most he lacks the constant belief that he is above all others. He sees all those who can create as worthwhile and equal. however if you do nothing but destroy then you are not worth life in the slightest in his opinion. Though he does his best to keep it to himself.
He also has a very strong moral compass, meaning that he often interjects where he sees wrongs. and will almost always step in where someone is being threatened or forced to do the bidding of another for no reason.
He enjoys the fine arts when and as he can but he also understands that there is need for a time to set them aside and take up the harder and more violent skills and powers that he has to not only achieve things but to protect others.

Bio/legend: Dragons are Legends in their own right, some greater than others, some lesser than others. However around most areas that a dragon resides in they are well known. Dragons fight with one another and among dragons there are heroes, villains and those who keep themselves to themselves. Siberys while not a Hero of or among dragons has done the best he can for the world around him. He lived upon a high mountain overlooking a large valley, those within it lived under his protection, he guarded them from invading armies, other dragons or any who would threaten them and cause offence to the inhabitants. He would also do his best to guard them from natural disasters, using his magic and strength to prevent them or lessen the effect they had on the townsfolk. Among dragons there is a saying "Each Gemstone shines only once." which is used to mean that each dragon only gets one shot at becoming a true legend, Siberys was content to let his pass him by and remain on guard over his village. What he didn't know was that this chance at being a Legend wasn't going to take no for a answer from a slightly grumpy dragon.

WIP,

So long as they qualify as a hero in some fashion yes. Hell, it could be a hero to the dragons or all I care, but it has to be a hero.

Once I get a bio and the rest of the info, it will be carefully approved. For now it's cool, but may require more updates in the future to keep it on the straight and narrow.

Wait so I need to make sure I'm done and approved by 12 am CT? and have a post up? I can understand harsh posting reqiurements but thats crazy. considering I'm on GMT.

@EddiEddi

No no, sorry, I don't know why I had you in there. You don't have to post until your character is approved, and it won't be approved until it's finished, so it's really up to when you'll be posting.

Villain

darkknight.jpg

Name: Mordred

Age: 30

Gender: Female

Weapon: The spear, sword, shield, and plate armor of mordred.

Power: The Honor Guard of Mordred: Mordred can slam her spear into the ground, and
open up a portal through which exactly six black knights are summoned. These soldiers
will fight on Mordred's side, and are both fast, agile, and strong. They wield
swords, spear, and chields, and wear black plate mail for their armor. They wear
inclosed helmets, so none can see their faces. Each of these men utilize their
weapons with devestating efficiency, though they themselves have no abnormal powers
to speak of. If one of these knights are killed, a new knight will step through until
Mordred desummons the portal or she is killed.

The Hordes of Mordred: To be Revealed in RP

The summoned armorments of Mordred: At any time, Mordred may summon and desummon her
weapons and plate armor.

Skills: Excellent swordswoman and tactician

Personality:Dark, Sadistic, but completely loyal to his leader. When she fights, she
fights as though she has nothing to lose. Nor does she. She uses her weapon with
devestating skill, and loves to watch her enemies fall before her. She believes that
only Argamon has the right to rule now, and will do her best to help him achieve his
goal, even if it means her death. She will not back down from a fight or a challenge
no matter how impossible the task. Her knights that she summons are equally
determined. The sadistic side of her leads her to manipulate her subordinates
however, and she loves watching them fight each other. This can lead to a nasty habit
of revealing herself before it's time to, just for the sake of seeing somone's
shocked expression. This also leads to some tension with Argamon, as his current plan
takes finesse to work out, and finesse isn't something that comes easy to her. She
also is cunning in battle, and uses moves some people would consider to be dirty. She
isn't afraid to use things like handfuls of dirt in her enemy's eyes and kicks to the
groin to gain the upperhand. At the same time, she won't hesitate to use her more
femine side to her advantage when dealing with a member of the opposite sex..

Bio/legend: Mordred - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Theme:

Likes: The sight of her enemies slain, acts of mass slaughter, pain, misery.

Dislikes: People who beg for their life, anyone from arthurian legend that wasn't her
ally.
