- Anything that actually has, you know, a good plot. I prefer RPs with fantastical elements, however, so generally, a bit of fantasy goes a long way.
The land is torn.
Chaos, the madness of the world, comes and goes like a summer storm, its convergences bringing monstrosities upon the world. Against the tide of destruction, those bearing the Crest of Heroes stand up, protecting their people with the cleansing light.
In a world beset by Chaos, they stand as a bastion of stability, destroying the Chaos Cores that distort the laws of reality and bring forth unnatural abominations from other realms.
And yet, in order to protect those that they hold dear, they must attain a greater power, a power that comes from cannibalizing their own. In a mad world, Heroes turn on each other to attain greater strength, sacrificing alliances for a devastating singular might.
In the North, the White Queen of the Fraucheract Empire rules on a lonely throne, the borders of her resplendent nation closed off to those who do not surrender their freedoms and their Crests.
In the West, the Roaming Nations of Aishandar fight Chaos and each other, tribal bands locked in an endless conflict against those who were once their own blood, a snake eating its own tail.
In the East, the seven city-states of the Araq'lance move carefully, scheming behind each other's backs while putting on friendly masks. Powered by the fear of the White Queen's might or the possibility of a united Eishendar, their spiderweb of deceit spreads far and wide, sowing discontent to cripple those who threaten them.
And, in the South, there lays the greatest Chaos Disaster of the era. Varying from Level 3 to Level 9, the Dead Zones of Talze Utera remain unmolested by other nations, and the few Lords who do come to Talze Utera seek solely to collect the otherworldly treasures that lay within the Dead Zones. Its people are hardened and broken, refugees who were scattered in the summer storm and rejected by the rest of the world. Villages and towns are ruled not by those with the power to cleanse, but those with the power to manipulate or devour, as Mages and Artists further their own agendas within the desecrated wastelands.
It used by all, abused by all, and ignored by all.
And yet, within the god-absent Dead Zones of Talze Utera, a light, brighter than daybreak, is emerging from the horizon.
This is really just a teaser.
We will be using the translated PDF for Grancrest RPG. Read up character creation, at the very least. I can teach you the rules if you don't want to learn it yourself. Don't focus too much on the setting that the rulebook uses. Outside of Chaos being a dick, things will probably change.
This will be done on voice chat, probably via Discord or something. I live in PST time, and this will most likely take place in the evening. We may or may not have to schedule on a weekly basis, but each session should last around three hours or so.
This will also be super-duper anime. The setting is mostly fantasy, but it'll most likely be a mixture between fantasy and modern technology. I'm fine with people modifying the flavor of the ability in order to have their fire sword magic become ice sword magic too. All I really want is anime hijinks in true tabletop form.
Seriously though, shit's gloriously chuuni (just look at dat class art), so if you're going into this making something like a 'normal' character? Pls stahp.
So yeah. Look for 3 to 6 people who aren't afraid to RP while rolling while also chatting.[/hr]
