Episode 1:
Who said being Divine was easy?

The sun was shining with only a few white puffy clouds floating nearby in the sky. A light breeze blew the leaves on the trees. You could even hear the sound of the birds chirping in the background. Yes, it was just another normal day in the Divine Realm. The hustle and bustle went about its usual business. And so did all the gods. What were they doing you ask? Who knows? Maybe they were working? Maybe they were on a date? Maybe they were eating?

Would you like to find out?

Rory: Goddess of Love

BNYEC1a.jpg

Rory sat on the floor with a table in front of her. Her chin lay against the tabletop as she stared at a piece of white paper in her hands. She was quiet, just staring at the paper like she was deep in thought. A few minutes went by then she let out a big sigh.

“I need a vacation!” she spoke out loud and then let the paper fall down onto the top of the table. She had spent most of the day, from the early morning hours, answering the prayers of many wary humans looking for love. And the goddess needed a break! She lifted her head from the table then let herself fall back. Her back and head gently hit the floor as she looked up at her ceiling. Of course, she loved giving all those humans the love they deserved. She was proud of her job. But sometimes she just got tired and wanted some time to herself. But where should she go? The hot springs? Beach? Camping? She just couldn’t decide. Maybe she should ask someone for some advice? Maybe Michiko would know which place to go? Maybe she should have someone go with her? It would be fun to go on a vacation with some of the others. She was pretty sure she could get Libidine to go with her…but if they went alone…

A blush came over her cheeks. She wasn’t sure if she wanted to go on a vacation with just Libi yet. Of course, she was fond of the guy and she enjoyed being with him. And he has been over her place plenty of times where they were alone. But a vacation? She might at least want a few others with her. Maybe Michiko would go too? Maybe a few others too? She lifted herself back up and grabbed the paper sitting on the table. She stood up and put it into a box she had nearby. She would have to go talk to Michiko about this.

Kaia: Goddess of Luck, Chance, and Fortune

32e6ba89ea3029ee8de9d15cb72c0f39.png

“I’m so bored!” Kaia complained as her finger tap against her arm. She stared out a window at her shrine. She had just recently returned from the human realm where there was always so much excitement, but now she was back in the divine realm. And she had no one to interact with. That’s what you get when you spend most of the time with humans…

Playing a game would be nice but she couldn’t do that without someone to join her. Unless she went to the casino. She’d totally win every game she played. But last time she had done that, the workers got so annoyed with her they clearly wanted to kick her out. She really didn’t feel like having their secret scorn on her right now. It would just kill all the fun out of the games.

She let out another sigh. Maybe she could go flirt with Nebby or something like that? It’s been a while since she chatted with that blonde beauty. Her blushes were always so cute too. Or Moira? She’d probably be bored right now too. Or go check out some of those hunky gods? Maybe she could find a new boyfriend. One that wouldn’t treat her like that awful scum bag she left back in the Human Realm. One that she could truly be happy with who would treat her like the goddess she was.

It was another beautiful day in the Divine Realm. Honestly, Nebby couldn't have imagined a better day - the way the sun shined, the wind blew... It honestly made Nebula's heart soar with joy the moment she opened her sleepy eyes this very morning and took a peek outside. As she brushed her hair, she pondered what could she do on such a beautiful day...

"Maybe I'll see what Taku is up to? Him and Adena are probably up to something again, I bet..." she mumbled to herself, as the brush glided across her golden strands of hair. "Ooh, or maybe Destina wants to hang out? I mean, she usually does, doesn't she?"

The Space Goddess finally put down her brush, having finished her work.

"Ooh, I know! Why don't I just go outside and let fate decide who I bump into?" She suddenly gasped in an "Eureka!" moment. Yes, this was what she was gonna do. Proud of herself for figuring out the absolute best way to go about the day, she gently floated to the door of her shrine and went outside.

As she continued floating around, now out on the streets, her good mood didn't leave her, so she twirled in the air, giggling like a little child. She was millenia old, but she could swear, this would never get old. Carelessly floating like that, she finally found herself in some sort of a marketplace, where different goods were sold. Rows and rows of stalls with different wares - fruit, jewellery, clothes, spices, books, there were even some weapon vendors.

She floated between the stalls for a bit, gasping "Ooh!" near almost all the jewellery stalls, and looking at some books on plants, before finally deciding to buy one huge green apple from some moustached man. Satisfied with her purchase, she sat down on a bench and started to munch on the fruit, which was definitely too big for her to eat very comfortably, but it didn't bother her that much.

"Damn you, you'll pay with your very soul!" Moira screamed, pointing her scythe forward, a dangerously furious look in her eyes.

Unfortunately for her, she'd have quite a problem looking for a soul in the collapsed card house she'd been assembling for the past two hours or so, just to have it collapse unexpectedly. The cards could also neither hear nor answer to her threat, and, as she soon realized, she was yelling at a bunch of inanimate objects.

"Ugh, this is stupid. I'm getting angry at a pack of cards..." she sighed, putting her scythe on her back, where it belonged. "Is this what boredom looks like? Because it sure feels pathetic..."

She quickly collected the cards off her table and put them back in a drawer. She'll come back to those little suckers later, she thought. For now, she was done with them. She went to a nearby window and opened the curtains. To her surprise, it was morning outside.

"I haven't slept all night again, huh..." she said, covering her eyes with her arm. "Wonderful... If me and Auriel talked more, maybe she could help me with that... oh well."

Then, an idea struck her. What if this was an opportunity to get to know her? I mean, if she came to her all vulnerable, asking for help, surely Auriel would see she's not some scary monster, right? Maybe this could be an opportunity for a beautiful friendship!

She started walking back and forth across her living room, stroking her chin, deep in thought.

"But this won't do at all, I can't just go to her like that... Think Moira, do you know anyone who could introduce you to her... Sukeru? Does... does he know her? I don't think so... Azazel? No, I wouldn't bet on it... Uh... is there anyone else I know who could help...?"

And then it hit her. She might have only chatted with him briefly, but that was enough, right? And he seemed perfect for what she needed right now.

"Takua." she said with a grin. "Alright, let me find him then, we'll see if he can help me."

Determined to solve her insomnia problem, she went outside to look for Takua.

__shao_granblue_fantasy_drawn_by_tenyo0819__a3e48807ae717a89615820b8481ed68c.jpgWhat a day it had been. The office was just beginning their birthday party for Ryuji, one of his co-workers, and wouldn't you know it, he gets a call from his wife, claiming she knows about his mistress! The guy wasn't very excited about his party after that. It sorta put a damper on everyone's mood. Well, everyone except Sukeru, who was just returning from the Human Realm through his shrine. He was fully dressed in professional dress, though his ears still should. Humans weren't able to see them, though. Only if he wished for them to know of his true nature. Anyway, back to the drama at hand.

Sukeru knew Ryuji. He was a stand up guy, so he figured he'd check the scales and see what they happen to say. He quickly stopped inside looking at the plethora of gilded balances that each served a purpose. He needed to make sure everything was fine once in a while. World economy? A little skewed, but overall not on the brink of collapse. Overall World Contentment? On the decline... It's going to need a little more correcting. The Natural World?... Also... on the declin- Never mind! There was something else at hand that wouldn't throw him into the spiralling pits of despair. Sukeru pulled up the Scales of Truth. He opened several drawers each filled messily with tiny people-shaped wooden dolls numbering well into the thousands (in this drawer). He placed a tiny wooden doll of a woman atop a stand on the scale, then conjured up a few weights. One was a black color, saying 'guilt,' the other a pinkish one labeled 'love.' If this was what the scales said to balance, so be it. Both were quite hefty. At the very least she loved him back. He then weighed the two. They were even for a moment. For whatever reason she was feeling really really guilty. And that's when the guilt weight suddenly grew almost twice as large, causing the scale to clatter to the floor. Hmm... Perhaps... Sukeru replaced the scale, and with a wave of his hands, the two previous weights vanished. In their stead was a figure of Ryuji, and another that Sukeru did not know directly. It was then he began to understand just what had happened. He placed the two on the scale again which only confirmed his suspicion.

"Ryuji's wife is pregnant with another's child! Oh how exciting!... And tragic... Um... Let's see here." He replaced the little doll at the top with the doll of Ryuji, and investigated what the scales said he would value more: the love of his wife(whom loves him dealer in spite of her mistake), or the break in trust.

"They will be fine... It won't be easy though. I'll be sure to give them a boon once they pull through." He packed away his little toys, and made a few adjustments to his other scales, doing what he could to mitigate the impending decline. As he did, he caught a glimpse of movement behind a curtain. It was that scale. It seemed to have shifted again. He tried to keep his gaze away, but his morbid curiosity got the better of him. And what he saw was a scale larger than most of his others. Atop it was a figure of himself, and two weights: one black, the other pink. He didn't like what he saw, and tossed the curtains closed to keep it hidden. He left his shrine, ready to do something, anything else to keep his mind off of it. So he set off. As he walked, he ended up passing by Chiaki's Shrine, stopping for only a moment before pressing onward.

It was then that he heard the anguished cries of a bored goddess: the most dangerous kind. Kaia was always a fun one to interact with. But he refused to play any game that relied on luck with her. It messed with his own systematic approach to winning those sorts of games. However, he quickly took a back route, before coming up behind her. "Bored is my favorite thing for people to be! 'Cause then it means they might just go along with my ideas." he said to her, propping himself up against the wall of her shrine. "So what are you aiming to do? Perhaps we could prank Adena? Or maybe we could let Takau's cats loose! Oh! Or we could hit up Lien and play a round of a game of some sort. Usually I'd be against playing anything based around luck with you, but I think seeing Lien in those situations is the best!" Right now, any noise was better than the alternative.

It's a lovely day so Windal is taking a quick break and opens the window a little, so the place could get some air, Si Kun is helping make a lemon curd pie, while in the over is cooking a red wine infused pork roast with roast vegetables, the smell of the sweet dry cure bacon and vegetables start to drift through the air and to the nearby area's. Windal says"
While I'm not planing for a huge party the pork roast is massive and so is the amount of vegetables I've had to cook, i really did over it yet again without meaning too and to eat this much food, without wasting is the going to be a bit of a problem if we are not careful". Si Kun then says" Remember big brother, over-worrying isn't going to help you at all and remember you taught me that if anything negative emotions can be transferred to the food".

Windal gently laughs and throws his hands up in playful defeat then says"When you put it that way your right, why didn't i think of that you know si Kun with how you are sometimes it makes me wonder who's the big brother, but I'm really happy you are here, I'm not exactly the ladies man of the group of male gods nor do i have the best personality". " Sometimes i think to my self wow why did you go ahead and say or do something like that that". " I'll try and be more tactful when dealing with people i just hope they don't think I'm sick or something".

The smell of the pork roast and vegetables are carried by the wind and the people that might happen to be nearby would smell it first, even if they didn't want to and it wouldn't be long before carried to other places as well. Windal goes over to the oven and takes the pork roast and vegetables before they get burnt and places them on plates with thick paper towels to wipe the grease off the top.
He gently wipes the top to the middle of the meat first then after a few minutes he does the same to the bottom and the sides to make sure it's done properly.
Si Kun helps by doing the same to the vegetables and once done he plates both and lets them rest and cool down a little, he then washes his hands and says" How about we pick a couple of nice wines start with since you brought so much stuff at the market the other day".

Adena: Goddess of Fire and War
Along the outermost part of the city where the buildings give way to the natural land, there is a caldera. To reach the caldera a person must walk through a pass with a steep rock face on either side that is covered with forestry at the top; some people find it to be intimidating with the Earth standing tall on either side of them, but others find it captivating. The pass itself is lined with smaller lanterns set into the ground to light the way when the sun is sleeping. The caldera is decorated with hanging Japanese lanterns and traditional posts stabbed into the ground with lamps waiting to be lit on their tops. There are a few benches along the walls of the caldera and at the furthest point from the entrance there is an alcove with a small fountain being fed from a natural spring within the mountains. The walls of the caldera themselves have engravings of stories told in pictures of the Goddess’s war victories. The caldera, also known as Wars End, is a ceremonial site that erupted when the Goddess of Fire and War came into existence. Wars End is the original shrine of the Goddess but is it simple in comparison to the other God’s and yet, there is something mystical and alluring about it.

In the early morning hours before the sun has claimed its place in the sky and the air is still crisp with dew, the Goddess can often be found at Wars End. With a simple sword in hand and eyes closed, Adena danced about the caldera on light feet as she swung her sword in different directions. Her movements were fluid and looked as though she was floating on air. Adena’s morning ritual was meditative for the Goddess and it was a rare opportunity for someone to see her soul exposed. Adena danced with a freedom that made her seem vulnerable, but it was enchanting because it was the opposite of how she usually acted.

Several minutes went by as Adena twirled around the caldera until she stopped in the center of it with a final swing of her sword toward the ground by her side. The Goddess opened her eyes slowly as she released a final breath of tension. A small smile formed on her face in the quiet stillness and with a release of her hand on the sword’s hilt, the sword shimmered into nothingness as it seemed to be swept away by the breeze rolling through. The sun was sitting nicely in the clear sky and she no longer needed the lamp posts lit. With an outstretched hand and one last turn, all the fire lit lamps went out.

There was something precious about the quiet nothingness in the early mornings that the Goddess appreciated. Wars End was sacred to her. It may be her shrine but it was also the place she goes to center herself, to focus, and to think. It is a place of comfort for her. It is a place that must be respected. The Creator gave her this place when she was created, and she would cherish it for as long as she lived. Adena bowed, her lips mouthing a word of thanks, and then she turned on her heel to leave.

On such a lovely day most divine beings were out frolicking and enjoying the sun. The birds were singing, couples canoodled, children laughed and played. Yes, all was lovely in the divine realm.

Then there was Auriel, comfortably curled under heaps of blankets, snoring away as the time slowly passed by completely unnoticed by the Goddess of Slumber. It was the norm for most who worked odd hours as she often did. However, as the sun rose higher, it began to peek through a corner of the curtain that covered her window, the thin ray of light tickling her exposed nose. “Hehe, no, not there. It tickles.” She giggled in her sleep, her dreams obviously pleasant.

Unable to stand the gentle tingling sensation, she flipped over, pulling the sheets off of her with her small movement. The action revealed her casual clothing underneath. It consisted of a cool colored tunic and a pair of black shorts. Simple and comfortable just as she liked it.

"S-sensei..." The goddess whined in her sleep as her dream took a strange enough turn that she rolled off of the bed to get away from the war goddess in her dreams. Unlike most, Auriel was a stubborn sleeper, the collision with the floor was not enough to rouse her. Instead she laid there for a few more minutes, her face now a shade redder than before and her breathing considerably heavier; whatever trip her dreams had been taking her on a secret to all but the goddess of slumber herself.

After a few more moments, her dream gradually let her go despite her determination to sleep longer. She tousled around some more before slowly opening her blue eyes and letting out a big yawn. Rubbing the sleep out of her eyes, Auriel attempted to recall the dream to add to her journal but it was as fleeting as mortals themselves. As usual, this didn't bother her one bit. Instead, she got off the ground and proceeded to go about her day.

"Mmm… I wonder if Takua would like some lunch…" Her lips pulled into a shy smile just thinking of her closest friend. He had always been a steady rock for her to lean on. If she could make it up to him somehow, she’d be the happiest person alive. Yet, he proved to be more difficult than she imagined and seldom asked her for much. As she pondered what to do about this little conundrum, she stood before a mirror and untangled her long pastel colored strands of hair from her horns. “Oh, how tedious...” She murmured to herself. It was the hardest part of her morning routine. If only she had the guts to cut her long locks.

“Would Takua like me with shorter hair?” Her thoughts unintentionally revolved back around to the God who ruled over the moon as if by chance. Most people revolved around the sun but as the slumber goddess, it seemed to be the moon. As wondrous as daytime naps were, nothing went better with sleep than the moon’s soothing vibes.

Untangling the last knot in her hair, she finally was able to brush it out and wandered off to her kitchen where she began preparing four bentos full of a variety dishes she prepared the evening before. One had fruit, another salad, the next fried rice and onigiri, the fourth was stuffed with sweets to finish it off. It was simple and nowhere near as delicious as anything Windal could make but it was the best she could do after years of practice.

Once she garnished all four bentos with fresh ingredients, Auriel carefully packed up the boxes and left for Takua’s palace on the moon.

*Such a beautiful day in the heavens to contradict the sad mood of the anticipated return of the god of lust, Libidine. He entered through the gates of the heavens to find everyone having such a joyful time, people he hadn't see in the past century since he left. The sun beat down on his pale skin irritably, he tried to ignore it, but rather, he ended up throwing his dark cloak on. He walked past several of his old friends without so much as batting an eye. All he could think about was the soft, kind, loving words Rose gave him before her life force slipped away... He simply made his way to Rory's abode. Beautiful as always, to suit her. He was rather envious of all that she had, however, nothing can compare to the desire he has right now to have his love back. He rang her door bell and waited for an answer, His wings tucked tightly at his side, beautifully speckled with burgundy spots* Come on now, answer the door... *He muttered to himself as he waited. He continues to observe his very familiar surroundings. Not much has changed though*

Elias
God of Sun, Light, and Life

Igneus Shrine - War's End

I: Igneus (NPC) | Adena (Pupperr )

M: none

Unlike the other gods and goddesses who already started their day, the sun god known as Elias was still in bed. He had just woken up after putting the sun in the sky earlier this morning.

A yawn escaped him as he sat up from the bed, the white sheets slipping off of his naked form while his hand ruffled his messy white hair. It was time for him to get ready though upon getting out of his bed, a figure stirred awake and soon, warm arms encircled his waist.

"You heading out?" a voice groggily muttered, the arms on his waist getting tighter.

Elias rolled his eyes and shook the arms away from him. He definitely needs to find some else to sleep with! [BG=#708090]Curse my body temperature.[/BG]

Forcing a smile on his face, the sun god got out of bed and started picking up his clothes from the floor, putting it on afterward. [BG=#708090]"You know why I can't stay, Igneus."[/BG]

Igneus, the god of volcanoes who he might have visited at dawn, let out a bitter laugh before pulling back the sheets.

Elias had always known that the god of volcanoes has attachment issues along with a little bit of temper. The sun god would usually steer clear from such gods though beggars can't be choosers. There's no one else who can handle his little situation thus, he had to just bear with it.

Trying to not anger the god, Elias kissed Igneus on the cheek before whispering his usual false promise. [BG=#708090]"I'll be back soon."[/BG]

"Yeah, yeah," Igneus muttered while hiding beneath the sheets, already used to his bullshit. "And as always, I'll be here to warm your bed."

Thus, Elias left the shrine of the volcanic god and began walking around the divine realm. His day had just begun and he's already bored! He wondered what he should do to spice up his day.[BG=#708090] "Perhaps visit Takua? Annoy the fuck out of Sukeru or..."[/BG]

Snapping his fingers as an idea appeared into his head, the sun god known as Elias had finally figured out where to go! A low whistle was heard from him before a chariot with winged horses landed in front of him.

[BG=#708090]"To the War's End, my lovelies. Its time to annoy someone."[/BG]

It didn't take long for Elias to arrive at his destination. While high up in the sky, his shining obs had already spotted the war goddess who was dancing with a sword.

As much as he hates to admit it, Adena was good at dancing. She just looks so graceful and at peace! [BG=#708090]Well, time to ruin her good day.[/BG]

[BG=#708090]"HEY, ADENA!"[/BG] Elias bellowed loudly before crash landing right in front of her, his horses neighing wildly and the earth around them getting disturbed. [BG=#708090]"Why are you dancing with a sword? Finally realized how ugly you are and you wanted to end your life? I can help you with that, you know. Just say the word."[/BG]

Goddess of Intuition and Sacred Knowledge

Location: Mind Palace/Shrine of Intuition and Knowledge | Interactions: Sprites (NPC)| Mentions: Azazel (Shinku)

If asked what's the best word to describe the shrine of intuition and knowledge, most would say: quiet. They would compare it to a library where silence is of utmost importance.

Though today, quiet won't be the best way to describe the shrine.
If described in one word, today it would be: chaotic.

Behind the temple gates were prayers pouring in day and night. Papers were flying from one place to another. The shrine's helpers, also known as sprites, were running in and out the corridors. It was a busy day indeed. After all, today marks the beginning of the busiest annual event known around the shrine: entrance exams.

"Miss Michiko, could you-"

"Lady Michiko, the stu-"

"Mistress! Can you help-"

"Milady-"

The new batch of young sprites chaotically and frantically called out the goddess' name as they arrived at the office, begging for attention. She understood that today was a busy day! But can't she have her peace and quiet? Michiko tried to ignore the sprites by laying stomach first on her chaise lounge, her eyes flitting through the pages of the book she was reading.

Little did she know that the sprites were persistent! When the fluffy helpers entered the office with requests in hand, Michiko quickly placed a pale finger against her supple lips.

Thankfully, the crowd of sprites knew what she was trying to tell them. They immediately shushed though, in just a few seconds, Michiko can hear the sprites getting restless. The impatient pitter-patter of their feet was starting to distract her from reading.

"Children," she called to the young ones, her golden orbs not leaving the book as she spoke in a warm yet warning tone. "There's no need to fret. I understand that most of you are new to this though please do remember that we have a system."

Michiko finally sat up to look at the crowd in front of her, the book now on her lap as she tucked her long black hair behind her ear. "Remember what I told you before? Those with students requesting to pass the exam without bothering to study, please give their documents to the shrine of luck immediately."

Almost half of the small crowd of sprites turned a pretty shade of pink. She could tell that they were embarrassed though Michiko said nothing about it. She then watched the pink ones bow their head and leave her office before continuing with her small lesson.

"As for the remaining requests, it should be checked by the elder sprites first before I can approve it. I can't read all of it on my own, can I?"

The remaining sprites flushed pink as well. She understands that they were just eager to impress her. Thus, she gave them a warm smile before watching them walk out of her office.

Now that she was alone again, Michiko let out a sigh. Her day had just begun yet she can already feel a headache coming. "I need to get away from all of this."

Laying on her chair once again, Michiko picked up where she left off. She was reading a famous book from the human realm: Doctor Sleep by Stephen King. It greatly amazed her since it has something to do with the mind.

She was halfway through the novel when Michiko suddenly remembered a certain god: Azazel. They shared their common love for books and she couldn't help but wonder if the god of death had read this book before.

"Perhaps I should visit him... Oh who am I kidding?" she giggled before returning to her book. "I'm sure he'll turn up eventually. That guy pops around here like a mushroom."

Lien, God of Magic, Writing, and Languages

Location: Mortal Realm; Planet Vafion, Sector 23. Date: 21.1.3146 Vafion Year, 18:39 Vafion Time

Already the crowd was bustling as they went to and fro on the busy intersection, one of the many there were in this dome but at the same time, only on was large enough to be considered worth noting. The epicenter, where most everyone would watch the news here on the big screen up above and where everyone could see it. And the news had just finished, already people hurrying to get back to work or school or whatever the people had to do in order to continue their daily lives. Lien was in the middle, just finished watching the face of the dictator fall away with a stony expression on his face as his book already started recording, wide open and the words being put down with his magic as his hand holding it at the bottom hummed. "Disgusting," he hissed as he just continued to stare at the screen, "Even now he's fooling everyone. Talks of unity (riise) and grandeur (miil), does he not have any sense (lakma)?" His words kept slipping into this planet's native tongue as the news was scribbled furiously into his book, recording it so he could review it later. And while he can not do much in this jurisdiction, perhaps some writing concerning a bit of propaganda would- He yelped as he was bumped into by a businessman as he yelled at him. "Sorry, sorry! I apologize! (Liira, liira! Marn orai!)" he squeaked as he immediately disappeared on top of a building nearby, one of the ones that handled accounting. His face went blank for a moment before he facepalmed with his book and groaned. "Oh great, I just showed off what I can do to someone who shouldn't have seen. Agh, my First Warmth, I feel like a failure. (???)" he hissed, going back to the very first language he ever created but never shared with anyone. With a sigh, he slowly lowered the book just enough so it seemed like he was glaring at thin air before taking it into his arms and hugging it. "...I don't know what to do," he murmured as he just hugged it. He continued to hold it like that for a moment before glancing up. "...I should check on the other gods." With that he disappeared, already the news of that disappearance seen in the intersection spreading. Nothing more than an urban myth...but one that will not be forgotten.

Lien found himself leaning comfortably against a tree and he let out a sigh of relief as he found himself in a familiar area, feeling the magic in the air. "Oh good, everyone's still having fun," he murmured as he opened his eyes and glanced at the sun, "Without me. Pffft." His last words came out sarcastic without him realizing as he just held his book to his chest and began to walk, letting his clothes trail behind him as he decided to let it play with magic. Because it was kinda funny pretending to be imperious when he was such an awkward baby turtle. But in any case, he had no idea where to go, so... "Let me see, which area, uh..." His brows furrowed as an arm was removed from holding the book and he decided to flick his wrist. "Abera namo." The spell was cast and already he could feel a tug to...the Luck Shrine? He paled somewhat as his arm quickly went back to hugging the book, just squeezing it out of fear. "Why. Why. Why. Why. Why. Why do I have to- Why. I can't talk, I don't know how to talk. I don't- Help. Someone help." He swallowed thickly before running blindly, completely forgetting that the tugging will lead him straight to where he was supposed to go. And before he knew it, he was in front of the shrine. "...THIS CURSED-! (???)" he screeched as he held the book in fear while standing in front of the Luck Shrine, unable to move forward and yet unable to do anything else, not even run, "I hate this I hate this I hate this kill me now I want to die in a hole. (???)" There was a pause before he squeezed his eyes shut, taking in a shuddering breath before opening them again and donning a fake smile. "Alright, um..." He went over to the Luck Shrine and entered, wincing as he made a jingling noise of pleasant bells to signal his arrival using his magic. "Hello? Um...anyone...here? K-K-K-Kaia?" he squeaked as he strained his ears to the sound of anyone talking. He thought he could hear Sukeru's voice... "A-Anyone?" I want to die in a hole, his mind went as he just looked at everything nervously.

Location: Divine Realm, Divine Realm City Streets

"I'm glad I decided to get some fresh air...not near the water,"
Biyanka giggled as she just eyed the stalls surrounding the area, eyes flickering to each of the items on sale. As much as she was tempted to touch them, she knew her touch aversion wouldn't allow her that luxury so she could only admire from afar. ...Still, if she could find a sailor's charm or something, then she'd probably be able to take a look at it...not buy. She won't buy it. Nope. Nuh uh. They weren't like adopts nope. God she wanted adopts that were made with dolls and had the souls of the people she saved in them. She loved those. Her eyes continued to flicker to everything until she spotted a strange charm near a stall. Her mouth formed an O shape as she rushed over to it, eyeing the pretty sparkly. "Ooooh! This charm, I recognize it, it can grant one luck while-" Her hand immediately touched it and she recoiled from the sensation. "EW."

"Hey, can you not? My charm isn't 'Ew,'" the merchant said gruffly as she jolted and grinned sheepishly at him.

"Sorry! Um...I'm...not used to touches that...I'm...uh..." she stammered as she kept a sheepish grin on her face, her hands finding themselves folded behind her back while her tail began to thrash in fear.

"It's made out of the finest blackadder wood, so-" Her mind immediately noped to that.

"Ooh, eesh, yeah, one of those things I can't touch since it feels...so...bad to me," she murmured, still keeping that grin while her tail stopped thrashing and just remained limp on the ground, clearly hating the thought of the wood touching her again.

"Oh dear, sorry!"

"No no, I'm sorry! Anyway, I should be going!" She bid the merchant farewell as she went off, continuing to look around. She still felt guilty, that grin keeping on her face while her tail began to wave languidly behind her with each step, calming down after the interaction, but she did enjoy the sights. She just...needed another distraction since she felt like a fool. Her eyes flickered to Nebula and the grin wiped off, blinking in curiosity. "...Nebby?" she murmured as she stared at her face before going to the...giant...apple...WAS THAT A GREEN PERFECT APPLE?! She let out a scream as she rushed over to Nebby, beginning to babble excitedly.

"WHERE'D YOU GET THAT OH MY GOD I WANT IT IT'S A GREEN PERFECT APPLE I WANT THE APPLEY SO MUCH IT'S A GREEN PERFECT APPLEY LIKE IN MYSTERY DUNGEON OH MY GOD IT'S SO HUGE AND IS IT LIKE A PERFECT APPLEY I WANT TO KNOW," she screeched excitedly as she hopped up and down while just staring at the apple itself. ...She ended up slamming down hard on her tail and then yelping, falling over onto her butt. "O-Ow." Then her face heated up with embarrassment as she slowly began to grin...then took her tail into her hands and buried her face into it, screaming. I'm an idiot I'm an idiot I'm an idiot oh my god I'm an idiot, she mentally berated herself as she just sat on the ground, hiding her face while smiling into her tail.

Takua

| The God of Exploration, the Moon, & Storms |
| The Lunar Palace |

The deity was more than annoyed as what sounded like soft whispers in the back of his head continued to build in the back of his head. Takua soon buried his head under a couple of pillows in an attempt to silence the annoying whispers, but the pressure of a few pairs of massive feline paws paired with demanding mewling soon ensured that the god had no choice but to awaken and answer some prayers if he wanted some peace and quiet. To be fair to the mortals, Takua pondered to himself, they likely don't know when a deity is trying to have a morning to themselves.

Grumbling softly, the agitated deity soon placed the pillow beath his legs to greet two massive felines who had fur that were various shades of white, black, grey, and cream. They appeared like the mortal Maine coon breed of cat on the planet below, save for being a half-size larger and shedding far less despite having a similarly hefty fur coat. "Of course it's you two begging for food so early in the morning, Rheita, Seleucus." The Storm God scratched the massive immortal mammals behind their ears, a soft purr coming from their throats before they bolted out from the master suite to another area of the lunar palace. Picking up a scrying orb on his bedside table, Takua rubbed his eyes before speaking into it. "Matari, ready some of the rain and typhoon spirits. Arashi, gather some of your larger brothers. We've got a massive prayer to fulfill."

Matari himself was one of the minor weather gods (specifically, the god of the clear sky), more-or-less serving as Takua's right-hand-god when it came to ensuring that the world's weather didn't spiral into total chaos when left to its own devices. Likewise, his proverbial left-hand-man was Arashi, the Eldest of the Dragons. Arashi had been the first of Takua's sentient creations, as opposed to the massive moon cats that simply seemed to pop into existence whenever the moon acquired a new crater. Matari and Arashi made a good team insofar as the God of Storms was concerned, each managing the norm and the chaos rather well. If nothing else, it made his duties easier to manage.

It didn't take long for Takua go through an expedited version of his morning routine, appearing clean-shaven while wearing his ancient black traveling cloak, a grey, turtle-necked sweater with a white shirt undeath that was tucked into a pair of dark tan pants that had brown hiking boots peeking out, with a similar shade of belt around his waist. Walking out to the courtyard of his palace as he gazed at the mortal world, Takua pondered the enchantment that engulfed his home, the location existing intangibly to the mortals but as true as any physical matter to the divine and otherworldly. This enchantment helped prevent any lunar rovers from being pounced upon by the moon cats, amongst other things. Standing in the center of a mass of winding dragons and exciting spirits, Takua clapped his hands- a motion that sounded like rumbling thunder- to get their attention as he spoke.

"Good morning, my friends and children! The mortals have prayed overwhelmingly for this, so we'll be teaching them to be careful what they wish for. Jali, Kopa!" Two small brass-colored dragons flew through the nonexistent atmosphere, hovering just before their creator's face. "Yes, Father?" they said in unison. "Please go inform Michiko and Kaia that the prayers of the mortal students have been handled." The dragons nodded at each other and at their patron, small serpentine smirks on their faces. "At once, Father!" The two dragons soon charged for the horizon, disappearing into bright orange smoke before reappearing in his shrine in the Divine Realm, zooming off in opposite directions to carry their respective messages.

"Now, let's make a miracle, shall we?" There was an uplifting cheer as the remaining dragons roared and the various deities and spirits whooped and hollered, following the God of the Moon down to the planet's exosphere before they began quickly crafting up a massive storm in the eastern seas, one that would cause a week or so's worth of rain and delay all these exams the young mortals were so worried about long enough to give those who didn't study enough of a chance to cram it in. Takua and his two lieutenants were like the conductors and first chair of an orchestra, guiding the strings and winds to develop a richer harmony that rose and swelled until all were satisfied with their work and a might bellow from Arashi sent the storm into motion. "It is done, Father," the ancient dragon stated with some pride in his chest. "I'm certain the mortals will begin discovering it soon."

"Wonderful," the deity said, "simply wonderful! You all go and relax in your homes, save for the spirits who have been chosen to direct the storm. You shall be called upon if and when you are needed." It didn't take long, of course, for all of those who could leave to vanish, making their way to their own homes and shrines dotted across the realms as Takua quickly went to the lunar palace, finding his sitting room empty with a sigh as he saw the cats eating from their food bowls a single room over. A relief, if nothing else. He needed to finish his preparations, Adena and Auriel would be arriving soon enough. Nebby probably would, too. The usual exchange for having a morning where Takua didn't simply awaken early to have his ribs bruised by his best friend was that he made brunch and served it in the lunar palace as opposed to his shrine in the Divine Realm. Heading into the kitchen, Takua removed his cloak and washed his hands before summoning forth the ingredients to cook breakfast with from his offerings in the mortal world.

"Alright... let's get the coffee started and cook something good. Maybe steak and eggs with hashbrowns and toast for today, with rice on the side..."

Adena: Goddess of Fire and War
The shouting voice from above broke the morning quiet and echoed through the caldera. Adena knew who it was without having to turn around to see him, but she knew the Sun God would put up an even bigger stink if she didn’t pay him any attention. With a heavy sigh, she turned to watch him make his grand entrance as he crashed into the space, kicking up the dirt around him. ”Elias” she acknowledged with a cock of an eyebrow. ”And what do I owe the pleasure of your company so early in the morning?”

It wasn’t long before the God was spouting insults at her about her appearance. Adena couldn’t help the mischievous grin from appearing on her face or the scoff from her mouth and walked seductively toward Elias. She placed a gentle hand on his cheek; he was warm. Her emerald green eyes looked up at him with a yearning. ”Oh, my sweet, sweet, Elias. We both know that you would be devastated without me.” Adena’s hand moved slowly down his cheek, sliding down his bare neck with tickling fingers until it rested above his heart; she could feel it beating rapidly against his chest. The Goddess took a step closer to him, her body almost pressed against his. ”Besides… my touch is likely the only woman’s touch that could ever grace your body. You would never chance losing that possibility.”

Adena let her hand, her body, and her gaze hang there for a moment before plucking her hand from Elias’s chest and turning on her heel once more to leave. Although she was mildly annoyed that Elias had crashed her quiet morning, she always welcomed the man’s presence. To some the two appeared to hate each other but it was as though the Gods were constantly being pulled toward each other with an undeniable magnetism. There was something there, understood or not, it existed. Adena looked over her shoulder, her pace coming to a halt. ”Are you going to stand there all day dumb founded? You’re going to make us late.” and then she smiled.

On mornings that she didn't wake Takua (that old man always slept in), he made brunch. It had become somewhat of a tradition and it wasn't uncommon for Auriel to be there. It used to be just the two of them but Takua started to invite Auriel awhile back so what would the harm be in inviting Elias? It was no secret that a lot of the other Gods didn't care for Elias and she didn't blame them. He was difficult. He was a pest. But he was also kind and sweet; it was a shame that not many people got to see that side of him. Elias was misunderstood, like she was, and the two bonded following the Sea of Fire in the Human Realm. It was time that he was invited more often; Takua could be mad all he wanted.

"Oh, look, Az-kun! I found this hydrangea in a nearby garden. Isn't she pretty?"

"Yes, it's pretty, Michi-chan. J-Just like you."

"H-Huh...? W-Why are you saying such embarrassing things like that to me with that straight face, Az-kun!?"

"I'm just saying the truth, Michi-chan. Besides, you're blushing with a smile, which means you liked it, right?"

"Oh, hush, Az-kun. You such a dork!"

"Ne ne, Michi-chan... Did you really mean what you told yesterday?

"Mmh? I told you a lot of things yesterday. Which of them?

"When you told me that you want to marry me when we grow up. Did you really mean it?"

"O-Oh, my God, there you go again saying embarrassing stuff out of the blue! Damn you, Az-kun!"

"Ouch! You don't need to hit me! You were the one that said that!"

"I... I know. And... I actually mean it... W-Well, maybe... Why are you asking me about it now?"

"Because I want to marry you when we grow up as well, Michi-chan. And I really, really, REALLY mean this."

"You... You're really a dork, Az-kun..."

"Mark my words, Michi-chan. When we're ready, I'll come to you, kneel in front of you, and take out a ring to ask you to be my wife. Just wait, and see."

"Az-kun..."

"Heh, you're smiling, Michi-chan. I'm glad you're liking what you're hearing!"

A deep sigh escaped Azazel's mouth through his partially opened lips while he slowly opened his light gray eyes, just in time to witness another sunrise in the Divine Realm. He was sitting on the roof of the tallest building on the Capitol, and all Divine Realm. He was wearing his usual attire: a white T-shirt with black pants, his hunter boots, and a black leather coat that had a hoodie he usually wears when he enters the Mortal Real to collect and reap souls. He arrived a few hours ago from his 56 days reaping journey, and he was glad he can finally have some vacations before jumping into another of those. He is usually seen in his shrine, the Final Slumber, but he was in the mood to be in a quiet place, somewhere away from anything, and everyone. And that's how he ended up sitting in the tallest building of the whole deity realm.

Funny enough, while waiting for the sunrise, he fell asleep for a few minutes, and his mind brought him back to a curious yet pleasant conversation he once had with Michiko a really long time ago. They were only children by that time, but Azazel could remember that conversation as if it happened yesterday. It happened on some kind of road trip they were having in the Mortal Realm. They were in some sort of camp, and Michiko came to Azazel after finding a hydrangea, her favorite flower, in a garden. After teasing Michiko for a while, Azazel asked her if she really meant when she said she wanted to marry him when they grew older. Sure, at first, Michiko was in denial, but then, she couldn't do anything but to confess that she meant it. Azazel followed her by saying that he also wishes for her to marry him, even promising her that one day he would come to her with a ring to ask her to be his wife.

This memory happened so long that is supposed to be forgotten, yet Azazel remembers it clearly, and hold it dearly. Still, he wonders why, though. Did he really mean those words he told Michiko? Or everything that was said between them was just some kind of child-talking? Azazel can only wonder, just like he is wondering right now if Michiko still remembers that day as well, you know? After that road trip in the Mortal Realm, they kind of grew distant as they were preparing themselves to carry out their job as deities. The time went by, and they only spoke a few times, but not as much like before. At first, Azazel was really sad, and frustrated by such thing, thinking it was not fair, but then he realized that it was all part of being gods, and goddess. They would be always busy going here, and there, carrying out their duties, and such, with no time in between for chatting or hanging out with friends. It was sad and depressing, but they were all destined to walk that road.

"Mmh, such a silly memory, but pleasant enough to make my day," mumbled Azazel with a faint smile, hugging the stick of his scythe in front of him. "I would give anything to go back to those days. They were the best. We were such innocent little beings, with no problems to worry, no harsh duties to carry... We were free to do what we wanted." With a sigh, Azazel closed his eyes for a while, before his smile slowly faded. Then, he opened back his eyes with a slight frown.

"And now, look at us. They may call us gods or goddesses, but, in reality, we are just slaves of these beings that call themselves "humans". "Oh, my dear deity, help me with this! Oh, my deity, do that!" The only thing they know to do is ask for more and more. Such greedy, and fool creatures. If only I could just reap the soul of each of them, and end their miserable lives. Only by then we are going to be free again. But, alas we are cursed to be their deities thanks to our Creator."

"Luckily for us, not all of those "humans" are like that, Az-kun."

A voice snapped Azazel out of his angry mumbles. Blinking three times, Azazel let go a deep sigh, before looking down at the city below his hanging legs. Everything above looked like buildings made by little people. "Well, that's true, Reaper," replied Azazel. Then, a woman with voluptuous breasts hugged him from behind, her breasts pinning tightly against his back. "I know you have such a hard time been the God of Death, Az-kun," she said with a cheery tone, gently caressing his chest with her delicate hands, "but there's no need for you to be so harsh to yourself. Give yourself a break, and begin to enjoy things! Just like Destina. I like that small, innocent being so much because she really knows how to enjoy life even when the odds are against her."

Blushing faintly while trying to ignore he has two big breasts literally on his back, Azazel cleared his throat. "W-Well, that's Destina, Reaper," he replied. "I wish I could be like her. To see the good even in bad things. Not for nothing, she's the Goddess of Hope, huh?"

Giggling, Reaper leaned her head to the right side of Azazel and gently laid it on top of his shoulder, her scarlet eyes closed while smiling. "What about if we go visit her now, mmh? I bet she's already awake this early in the morning. You know how much she enjoys her daily morning exercises." Azazel scoffed with amusement. "She practically just dances around to silly tones, Reaper. And when she does the "Nico Nico Ni" dance, I cringe so hard that I feel like dying." Reaper opened her eyes and pouted cutely. "Eeeeh! I think that's her most adorable, and cute dancing of hers! What do you mean, Az-kun!?" Playfully, Reaper began to gently poke Azazel's right cheek with her right index finger.

"Okay, okay, it's adorable," he said, raising his left hand to gently swat away Reaper's hand from his cheek. Giggling, gently held Azazel's face, tilt it closer to her face, and gently kissed his lips. "Then, hurry up before she leaves her shrine, my dear Harbinger." After a brief giggle, Reaper let go of Azazel, and disappeared into sparkles, her soul returning inside Azazel's scythe, her home.

"Damn it, Reaper, you really don't need to kiss me every single time you talk to me, you pervert," said Azazel with a frown, blushing a kind of deep tone of red. He was glad Michiko wasn't around to witness such a weird scene.

With a deep sigh, Azazel returned his gaze to the horizon, where the morning sun was already shinning in the skies. With a peaceful sigh, he held his scythe to push himself up his feet.
"Alright, let's give Des-chan a visit like you said, Reaper." And with that, Azazel turned around and holding his scythe, he jumped from the roof backward, with his eyes closed. The cold, and crisp wind pinning against his skin, and whispering to his ears were surely pleasant for our dark deity. He didn't have to open his eyes to know when he was near the ground, so when he felt it, he spun to his left before taking out his enormous black raven wings. He gently glided in circles while free-falling, smiling brightly. Small moments like these were the ones Azazel truly enjoyed the most.

As he finally landed on the ground, Azazel's wings magically disappeared into dust, and he put back his scythe on his back, where it belongs. As expected from the Capitol, the place was already crowded with people going from one place to another, minding their own business. Nearby shops, restaurants, and other places were opening, getting ready to receive their usual clients. Blinking once, Azazel turned to his right, putting his hands in the pockets of his coat. When he was about to walk away, he spotted a pair of cute, and adorable fluffy ears that surely were familiar for him.
"Is that Biyanka?" he mumbled, his cheeks already covering with a soft pink shade. He really had a soft spot for cute things, indeed, and Biyanka's ears were sure damn cute!

Feeling a sudden urge of walking to her to pet her ears, Azazel shook his head and told himself to calm down because he was acting weird. Deciding to act as if he didn't saw her, he was about to walk away but heard Biyanka calling the name of Nebby. Oh, my God, his favorite Space Loli! He definitely needs to stop by and say hi, at the least... This time without trying to feed Nebby with sweets just so he can pat her head. Damn, Azazel was quite a weird guy, huh?

"M-Morning, Biyanka-dono, and Nebby-dono," said Azazel once he walked to the bench his fellow goddesses were sitting. He stood on the right side of the bench, and look down at them, holding out his right hand for a quick waving. And there's when he saw Nebby eating the biggest, and greeny apple his eyes have ever seen. With a gasp, Azazel felt as if his heart was struck by an arrow, falling in love for Nebby, and her adorable as heck antics. His heart, and soul... His cold heart and dark soul couldn't bear such cuteness!

Azazel had to take a moment to regain his composure before looking back at Biyanka, and Nebby.
"I-I... I'm on my way to Destina's shrine, want to join me?" he asked them, feeling kind of weird inviting other deities even when he clearly knew these two. "I'm sure Destina will be more than glad if you guys stop by her place. Like literally, she may explode out of happiness. She's really something. B-But, sure... It's okay if you guys don't want to come. S-Sorry if I interrupted something."

There he was again. Azazel was stuttering and sweating nervously. The poor guy was yet to get accustomed to talking with other deities, but nobody can blame him, though. The poor guy has received so much hate that he automatically thinks that every god or goddess he encounters, familiar, and stranger alike, will refuse to even be near him. The only people he knew that would never give their backs to him were Destina, and, of course, Michiko.

Nebby could feel leaving things up to fate were the right choice the moment she heard Biyanka very loudly approach her. She was a bit surprised by how excited she got over her apple, but she found it all really cute, Biyanka accidentaly falling on her butt included. She even let Biyanka know she found that cute with a sympathetic smile.

She was then even more assured in her choice, seeing Azazel pop up out of nowhere. She probably wouldn't have met him today if she went to Takua as usual. She made a discreet little nod of "I knew this'd be a good idea" and then she waited for Az to get closer to them. When he politely greeted them, she replied to him with "Morning, Az - senpai!" and a big smile.

He then went on to say he's heading to Destina's shrine. She thought for a bit, still chewing her apple. She was thinking of going there anyway, so maybe this was some sort of sign for her? That she was meant to go there, for one reason or another? People would say that the stars aligned for this, but she knew well stars didn't align to cause weird coincidences or aeffect destiny. That would be a bit silly, they're mostly big balls of fire and gas. Nevertheless, she felt this was too big a coincidence not to be some sort of sign.

"If you're going to Destina's shrine, I'd be glad to join you. I was thinking of going there anyway this morning." she finally said, having chewed a bite of the apple before speaking. She was taught well not to speak when you're eating. "And I bet Biyanka would love to come too, right?" she said and turned to the fox girl. "The more, the merrier, after all." she said with a smile.

Well, this was it. At least she hoped so. Was there any other Lunar Palace perhaps? Dear Creator, she hoped not. Imagine her embarassment if she bothered some random lunar old lady. But to her knowledge there was no Grandma Moon in some palace similar to Takua's - she was pretty sure the building in front of her was it. Well, it did look more like a regular shrine than a palace, but if that's what he called it... well, maybe it was a palace to him.

And when she finally admitted this was it, things went very downhill for her. She first took a very brave step forward, and even extended her hand to knock on the front door, but... she couldn't. She suddenly thought of a scenario most terrifying: What if he opened? She wouldn't know what to say to him, without coming off as selfish, weird, or worse yet - both!

She started walking back and forth in front of his front door, thinking of some proper way to explain that she's here to solve her problem, but also to convey that she's in no way just a sefish goddess that comes to others when she's in trouble, she's just a bit shy, is all...

But she had absolutely no good way of saying that. Not one way seemed to be the perfect one, and if none was perfect, she could be just as misunderstood as she always is... and while she somehow got used to it, she hated it with all of her divine heart.

She sighed deeply, and sat down on the ground near the Palace. She was hopeless, wasn't she? Can't even ask a fellow god for help.

"Idiot." she whispered to herself.

Oh well, Takua was gonna leave the Palace eventually, right? If he saw her sitting like that, he'd probably ask her a bunch of questions without her having to embarass herself, right? Yes, this was a great strategy, she thought, so she just buried her face in her hands, and kept sitting like that, waiting for something to happen.

War's End

Pupperr | Adena : I

AceSorcerer | Takua : M

Elias squinted his eyes at Adena's change of behavior. He had an ominous feeling that the goddess of war has something up her sleeve. Though before he could even take a step back, the sun god was already ensnared by Adena's touch.

Adena's touch made him feel like liquid adrenaline was being injected right into his bloodstream - just enough to make him excited. He can feel his skin tingling when they locked eyes; his heart pounding erratically in his chest that he felt as if he was about to combust.

Looking into Adena's cat-like eyes felt like looking into the sun for too long - it almost burnt, but the burning sensation was satisfying to him. There were butterflies - no, an entire zoo - in his chest, but it felt good. [BG=#708090]Gods, I hate her so much.[/BG]

The sun god stood very still as Adena began running her fingers against his pale skin, his muscles tensed and tight. He refused to admit that he craved and enjoyed the woman's touch.

[BG=#708090]"Shut your pretty little mouth,"[/BG] Elias muttered under his breath. He could feel the tension in the air as they stared at each other through it was quickly broken by Adena, who walked away from him. Every fiber of his being told him to grab her; smash his lips into hers. He thanked the Creator that he did none of that. It will only ignite the fire hidden deep inside of them and he was certain that both of them were not ready for that yet.

Elias clicked his tongue out of annoyance as Adena taunted him. [BG=#708090]"Me? Making us late?"[/BG] He asked with a scoff while pulling out a cigarette from his pocket, putting it on his lips afterward. [BG=#708090]"You're the one who's keeping me, twinkle toes. "[/BG]

The sun god then waited for Adena to light his cigarette; a habit they developed since they spent so much goddamn time together. Once it was lit, Elias then puffed the smoke right into Adena's face.

[BG=#708090]"Now, care to tell me where you're planning to drag me. Oh, wait. I think I know."[/BG]

Elias ran his fingers through his hair, a sigh escaping his lips as they stood beside his chariot. [BG=#708090]"You're bringing me to Takua's shrine, aren't you? Gods, this is going to be a productive day."[/BG]

Pausing at the bottom of her short set of stairs, Auriel looked up at the moon and realized that it would be impossible to carry it all without help. As if someone flipped a switch in her brain, a light bulb popped up beside her head shining an idea upon her. Perking up, she looked towards the forest at the edge of her shrine and bit her bottom lip, blowing out a sharp and piercing note that cut through the silence that normally filled her domain.

In response, a loud and booming, “Mehh'' echoed off in the distance. It was soon followed by a series of loud footsteps and the sound of twigs breaking. Except, they were not twigs but the trees themselves snapping as the creature in the forest made its way out, a sight that would truly make the goddess of nature faint if she were there to witness it. As the being neared closer, some pink could be seen through the foliage.

“Fanny!” Auriel cried out happily as a large head of a pink ramlike creature popped out, shaking leaves and twigs from it’s wool. With great effort, it pulled itself out of the forest and rolled over to its mistress like a large cotton ball. Circling around the goddess once, Fontaine, the guardian of the forest of illusion unrolled itself and flopped onto it’s back before Auriel. It meh’d with delight and waved its stubby legs as if to ask for the affection Auriel would normally have greeted it with. “Sorry, my hands are a little full at the moment. Think you can give me a ride today, little one?” Auriel pressed her forehead against its soft fur and nuzzled it gently as she asked. The creature that was easily three times her size meh’d in compliance and rolled over onto its goddess, entangling her and the bentos into it’s soft wool.

Fontaine didn’t even have to ask to know where it’s mistress wanted to go. There were only a handful of people that the goddess of slumber would make so much food for and on top of that list was the one and only god of Exploration, Moon, and storms; Takua. Focusing on the direction to the portal that would lead to Takua's shrine, the tailed ram let out a loud bellow and slapped it’s tail on the ground to build up energy to make it up there. One bounce for fun, another for momentum, and the third left a large crater in its wake as the guardian hopped high into the air. The wool on the sides of their body stretched out and formed a pair of white wings that allowed it to soar ever higher and fly straight towards their destination.

In a span of half an hour, the two made it to the entrance of Takua's shrine. “Good boy, Fanny!” Auriel praised the guardian and rubbed her hand through his wool with her free hand in an attempt to pet him. It bleated with joy and laid on its belly so that she would have an easier time dismounting. As she did however, her horns once again proved troublesome and got caught in the pink wool, keeping her suspended and helpless. She tried squirming and balancing the bentos with one hand and a leg while the other tried to untangle the knot but it was to no avail.

She was stuck.
Trying not to panic, Auriel looked around for one of Takua’s assistants to ask for help when she noticed something, or rather someone, out of place. It was a familiar face but their name wasn’t one she could quite remember. A glance at the scythe in her hands gave her some hints but that didn’t matter as much as her only hope of getting free. “H-hello! Hello, um, could you help me? I don’t think I can get free. I- I think I’m stuck. Auriel called out to the girl and let out an embarrassed chuckle. She dearly hoped she wasn’t another goddess. It would be really sad to let this be their first impression of one another.

Rory: The Goddess of Love

BNYEC1a.jpg

The sound of Rory’s doorbell rang throughout the Love shrine, alerting the goddess to a presence that must be waiting at her door. Who could that be? She wondered as she made her way through the hallways and finally to the door a few minutes after it had rung. She couldn’t help how big the place was. She opened it up and found her answer. Libidine. And he didn’t look too happy.

Of course, she knew why. She was the love goddess after all. But there wasn’t much she could do about it. Everyone experienced loss. At least he had time to enjoy the love while he could. Not everyone got the love he was able to get. Over time, she hoped he would be able to remember it all fondly. The pain of loss would always be there, but perhaps he would be able to heal over time.

“Libi,” she spoke and gave him a soft, gentle smile. “Come on in.” Although she had originally planned to make her way to Michiko’s shrine, that could wait for a few minutes. She motioned her hand and let him inside, closing the door behind them. Then she walked and led him to one of the main rooms, one of the most comfortable.

“Have a seat,” she said and took her own. “I was just thinking that I need a break. Maybe a short vacation of sorts? I wasn’t quite sure where though, so I had thought about asking Michiko’s opinion on it. Maybe invite her and a few others as well? What do you think? Would you like to come on a vacation as well?” It honestly might be the best thing for him. It might get his mind off of it. And he was a god after all. He had to keep moving. He had to get through the grief and move on. Because he had a lot of time in the future.

Kaia: Goddess of Luck, Chance, and Fortune

32e6ba89ea3029ee8de9d15cb72c0f39.png

“It must be my lucky day,” Kaia replied the moment she turned to the voice speaking to her. It seemed her luck answered her own prayers and without much hassle or effort on her part either. “I was just thinking of hotties and a cutie just appears right in front of me.” She gave Sukeru a smirk and listened to his suggestions.

“I see. You want to make little ol’ me the bad guy,” she teased him. She had been gone for a while and hadn’t had much recent interactions with the other gods. And as much fun as his suggestions sounded, she had a feeling those divine wouldn’t think much of the joke if she was involved right now. It might take a few extra days for that. She placed her elbow on the windowsill and her chin in her hand and leaned out a little closer towards Sukeru. “Although…”

And then another voice rang out through her shrine. Was that Lien? “Oh, what a coincidence!” Kaia shouted out and called out to the god to come into the room she was currently in. “Now I got two hotties with me. My luck really is on my side today, isn’t it?”

So she could speak to both, Kaia changed her position. She jumped up onto the windowsill and used it as a seat. She faced towards the inside, but it gave her the ability to turn her head to face either god who might speak. Now with the two of them with her, things might get more interesting and that boredom just might go away. “So—“ she was about to speak, excitement gracing her lips. But the goddess of Luck was cut off with the arrival of one of her Luck spirits.

“Lady Luck,” it said. “We have prayers for those entrance exams, delivered from the Goddess of Intuition and Sacred Knowledge.”

Great? So instead of having fun she had to do more work?!

“But it seems the God of Exploration, Moon, and Storms has taken care of everything there.”

“Why didn’t you start with that?” Kaia replied. “Would have been nice to know beforehand. I was starting to lose my good mood.”

She sighed. “Well, at least I don’t have to deal with them. Thank you. You can go now,” she said and the spirit went off. “First I should ask if there was any particular reason you have come to visit me today, Lien. If it’s nothing important, then how would you like to join Sukeru and me in having some…fun?”

She looked towards the god then to the other one but as she did so, her whole body leaned a little bit too far. Next thing she knew, her butt was slipping off the windowsill and it found itself a new seat on the ground right outside the window, in front of Sukeru.

She quickly got up and turned her front away from both the gods, revealing her behind.
“Do I have any dirt?” she asked then as she tried to show them her butt. She tried to play it cutely, like just another way she was flirting, but really the goddess was attempting to hide the red embarrassment that shaded her cheeks.

*He stood, awaiting someone to come and open the door, and it came at last. He looked up from the ground at her. No smile, a heavy heart, and a rain cloud over his head. The lust in his eyes had left him and she could tell he would not be able to fulfill his duties as a god like this. He wasn't crying though, he wanted to, she can see that as well*

*He entered her palace quietly, not noticing all that had changed since he had last been here. It was still beautiful however, he knew that by heart. Beautiful, like its residence. He looked up from the ground to try and stop sulking. He hated that she had seen him like this. When they eventually reached her sitting room and he was offered to sit, he took it. He sat in the same spot he always would before he left*

*He sat there, looking directly into her eyes, listening to her words intently. He held his hand out when she proposed her idea, telling her to stop* A vacation? Are you joking? *Though his voice soothed and spilled like cream, his emotions were altering the effect his voice would typically have* Not until I've found out how to make that bastard Azael miserable like he has me. I thank you for your offer, goddess. But I cannot simply forget the woman I loved.

*He stood up, and he gave into his emotions, and tears began to stream down his face* Sh-she made me promise something... Something I don't think I can do with just anyone... Something that will take time...

Her last breaths were spent forcing me to promise to move on... She knew she was dying... And the last thing she did was force me to promise to love again...

Goddess of Intuition and Sacred Knowledge

Location: Mind Palace/Shrine of Intuition and Knowledge | Interactions: Jali (NPC) Auriel (Monbon) Moira (NeonArmageddon) | Mentions: Takua (AceSorcerer)

Half an hour passed, maybe two, when Michiko heard the sprites again. There seemed to be a commotion going on outside her office. Usually, she would let it be; let her assistants deal with whatever was going on. But the sound of growling made her eyes snap from her book to the door. Her attention now piqued, the goddess of intuition and knowledge left her chair and made her way out of the office.

"What is going on?" She asked the sprites upon opening her doors. "Is something-" Michiko wasn't able to finish her sentence upon laying her eyes at an unexpected guest: a small dragon from the Lunar Palace.

"Jali!" Michiko squealed, letting the shiny brass dragon swirl around her for a hug before letting the cute little reptile kiss her cheek. "How's my adorable little dragon?"

Realizing that there were sprites still around who was looking at her as if she was crazy, Michiko quickly regained her composure and cleared her throat. She then shooed away her assistants before closing the double doors behind her, retreating to her office.

"So, what news do you bring?" The goddess asked the dragon while going to her desk to fetch some jerky strips. The dragon often visits her to deliver news from the Lunar Palace that it became a little habit of hers to start hiding treats.

The dragon named Jali purred out of happiness, munching on the jerky that's been tossed at him by none other than Michiko. "Father answered the mortal students' prayers. He made a storm."

Excitement filled Michiko's dazzling eyes. "That means my work will be postponed! Oh, this is splendid news! " The goddess twirled and danced with the dragon to express her happiness. With the storm going on, it will give her a couple of days to read more!

"Could you excuse me for a moment?" The goddess of intuition and knowledge suddenly piped up, excitement still in her eyes. "I'll be back in a moment, I promise!"

The dragon looked at her with confusion before bolting towards her room to get dressed. She changed into her usual attire: a lush black gown with a sweetheart neckline accompanied by swirling gold accents. She paired it with black gloves and her typical feathered collar before dropping by the kitchen to grab some treats.

Once she was done, she went back to the office carrying a bag full of food. "Now come on, Jali. Let's go give your father a visit."

It didn't take long for them to arrive at their destination. After all, Jali was there to guide her! She did get intimidated by the number of stairs she had to climb up. "Why does every time I visit, the stairs seem to get longer?"

The brass dragon flew beside her and assisted her to climb the stairs. "Is that why you don't come often anymore?"

Michiko picked up the hint of sadness in his voice and the goddess couldn't help but sigh. "I'm sorry, Jali. But I can't climb your father's stairs all the time! Besides, you can always visit me." The goddess then gave the good dragon scritches and after that, they finally arrived at the front door.

What greeted her was not Takua but rather, Auriel, who looked stuck on a pink fluffy sheep. It was an amusing sight indeed seeing the goddess of slumber with her horns stuck around the wool.

"Auriel? What on heavens are you doing?" She was about to help her when she noticed a quite familiar figure: a goddess she saw centuries ago in the human realm who always says yoink when taking away dead souls.

"Hello. I've seen you before, haven't I?" Michiko's gentle voice called out to the girl while a warm smile was on her face. "You're the one who takes away human souls. Moira, if I'm not mistaken?"

As she sat down and waited for Takua to just come out of his shrine, one thing happened that she hadn't actually considered could happen, mostly because it didn't ever happen to her: a person came to Takua's shrine to visit him.

The person was a fellow goddess, it seemed, and she was sitting on some sort of pink sheep... or was it actually a ram? Either way, she seemed to have some trouble getting off of it. She even called to her for help, but before she could react in any way, another character entered the scene, this one a bit more familiar.

Well, she saw her a few times when in the Human Realm way back when, but she couldn't really say she knew her well. Her and Michiko just seemed to cross paths every so often.

Then, Michiko spoke to the goddess on the wooly animal, ram or otherwise, and Moira's stress went up a thousandfold when she learned that this goddess was in fact Auriel, and she couldn't count on Takua's help with first impressions - this was her first impressions.

Michiko then turned to her all of a sudden, noticing her sitting down on the ground all weird... well, she assumed that's why she noticed her. In an attempt to try and manage the situation best as she could with how it's developed, Moira slowly got up from the ground, brushed a bit of dust off her skirt, and then nodded and said:

"Yes, that'd be correct." she smiled a bit, worrying she's maybe coming off as a bit fake nice? She's supposed to be the scary Lady Death, they probably expected her to scoff at them and then disappear in a cloud of bats or something. "And you're Michiko, right? Goddess of Sacred Knowledge? I too am pretty sure I saw you a few times in the Human Realm. You must have sharp eyes though, I usually wear a robe when I go grab souls... weird as it may sound, helps me get into my 'work mode'... But maybe it's a bit of a poor time for catching up... After all, seems Auriel here has a bit of a problem we'd better solve first." she said, and then she calmly walked over to Auriel and her fluffy companion.

However, her mind was anything but calm. She wasn't used to just chatting with other gods, unless it was Azazel or Sukeru, so inside she was freaking out, constantly beating herself up over the fact she probably could have said something better, could have made some gesture that would make her seem more friendly, could have smiled a bit more...

As she came closer to Auriel, she took a deep breath and collected herself. Right now it didn't matter what the Slumber Goddess thought about her, she was in trouble and needed assistance. That's what was really important. She walked up real close and took a good look at the predicament Auriel found herself in. There was a knot that was holding her in her troublesome position, but...

"I see, there's a knot here, and I could easily cut it with my scythe, but Auriel would probably just flop face-first onto the ground, along with the boxes and their contents... We can probably just take the boxes and put them aside, but... Michiko, could you help me out a bit and grab her when I cut the knot?" she asked the knowledge goddess. It was definitely not a one-person job, and if she was to handle the wool-snipping, she needed someone to grab Auriel. Technically, she could give the scythe to Michiko, but... she didn't even trust herself to catch Auriel properly, she didn't think Auriel would trust her with it either. She turned to the knowledge goddess, and awaited some sort of response.
