I know this is a huge debate amongst alot of people so I wanted to start a discussion on it. How do you pronouce the name for all these funny moving pictures we got floating around the internet?

Personally I pronounce it with a G because that's how I first heard it and it made sense to me phonetically
 
It's with a G, of course. J is a brand of peanut butter 😂

Yeah well if we listen to the creators of things we'd have to listen to J.K. Rowling, so

GRAPHIC Interchange Format is pronounced with a hard G.

The point is that we don't listen to them when they're clearly wrong
 
It doesn't have to make sense to be correct 8D Lots of things have names and pronunciations that don't make sense!

As an alternative and less used pronunciation, yes, it is still correct usage.

My OPINION is that it's wrong 8D
 
I don't speak this language enough to understand this jif nonsense. Gif with a 'g'.
 
Gif dammit, we all don't need to throw ourselves off of cliffs to know the rocks down there hurt!

It's pronounced with a "G" sound because GIF means Graphics Interchange Format. It can be a peeve of mine to hear it be mispronounced, especially because IT classes set me up with lots of very correct knowledge. xD But people will say what they wanna say and that's okay.
