The point of a genre-bender is to take a well known, genre related trope or story starter and transplant it into another genre.
The Squad
The intrepid band within a larger company, sent on a mission during war. Usually set in one of the European or Asian wars, this group of about 5 men has very specific characters, each of which are crucial to the success of the story. Who will be your leader, or your sharpshooter? Your new guy, or Macguyver, your medic or your big guy? Who'll be the oddball who saves everyone in his own way? Is there a traitor in your midst? Choose your men, and choose your setting! Get out of the jungle, get out of the trench mud. Set forth on your adventure and chronicle your journey here! Where will your squad take you?
