The story:

[BCOLOR=transparent]In the year 2024, life for the human race has changed exponentially. It all started when the sun had a super solar flare, this solar flare awoken a special type of gene for certain individuals. Giving them powers of supernatural strength. Not everyone was changed though, only a select few took on the characteristics, the vast majority of people were unaffected. [/BCOLOR]​

[BCOLOR=transparent]Now at first things were calm, many of the gifted people were still learning how to use their newfound abilities. But as time grew, ten years later to be exact, some of the gifted decided to take advantage of their powers, and committed numerous crimes, and all it took was one bad apple, and suddenly the whole world's eyes were now looking down on the gifted. Seeing them as monsters, freaks, powerful human beings who would end up destroying humanity. And then so came the propaganda where the gifted should be under constant watch. An attack on your personal privacy rights some saw it as, and soon most of your rights were stripped away.This went on for several years. Until, a certain individual came and rose to the top, a man that goes by the name of Gabriel, speaking of a revolution, and spoke of a underground utopia, someplace where the supernatural could use their abilities without scrutiny. A paradise…[/BCOLOR]​

[BCOLOR=transparent]Unfortunately it was everything but a paradise, it was already too late before the gifted begin to realize what it really was.[/BCOLOR]​

[BCOLOR=transparent] And this is where you come in, You took the first bus that came to pick you up, it dropped you off in front of a tall building, in which you were instructed by what seemed to be other gifted individuals to head on in. Once everyone was inside, you come to realize that it's just a rather large vacant room, the walls made of lead, and the door behind you, was now blocked by a large lead wall. And soon the room filled with gas, and the last thing you remember was the floor rushing to kiss your face. [/BCOLOR]​

[BCOLOR=transparent]In this roleplay, you'll be playing as one of the gifted individuals in the year 2040, capable of a vast amount of abilities. Some are capable of teleportation, others can change parts of their body, shape shifting into whatever they want. You get the jist of it, you have super powers, every kids dream. Once I make the IC (when we have enough players) You will be waking up in a new room where you will be instructed on what to do from there. You will be faced to make difficult challenges in order to survive what your captivator has in store for you. And be warned, there will be some character death, so don't say I didn't warn you.[/BCOLOR]

2. No marry sue characters, everyone has their flaws. Some more than others.
3. Romance is allowed (maybe even encouraged because that means more drama >:) )
4. Nothing sexual is allowed here, please keep it pg-13 or in a pm.
5. Please be active, If 1 post a week doesn't seem doable, then please turn around and leave.
6. Quality over quantity here, I'm fine with 1 paragraph replies as that can help the roleplay move along.
7. Please have a good grasp of the English language as well as good grammar skills, of course I'm no grammar Nazi, but it makes things difficult if your post is hard to comprehend.
8. Please add the word "paradise" to the Misc section of the CS so I know you were reading the rules.
9. Don't kill of other characters without the player's permission, or I instruct to do so (don't worry I'll be communicating with the owner of the OC to see if they're okay with that)
10. This is not going to just be about fighting enemies and characters, there will be other things you will have to overcome. So be warned
11. You are allowed up to 2 characters, nothing more please.
12. You are not allowed to have anything vastly technological, such as prosthetics. But some weapons that you can carry are allowed (because somehow they weren't confiscated, coincidence? I say not! )

Hisoka usually wears darker colors (especially black), but will occasionally dress in pastels or "normal" colors. She is very protective and is somewhat stubborn, which often gets her labeled as a "stick-in-the-mud", but most people who know her well have learned to appreciate her protectiveness as it comes in handy once in a while (although it would be more useful if she was larger). Hisoka can be quite charming, although so far she hasn't really felt any reason to have a relationship with anyone (that may change!).[/BCOLOR]

Even as a small child, she would leave her small apartment and wander a few blocks down the street to see what was going on around the city. That day in 2024 when the super solar flare happened, Hisoka was playing with her dolls on the steps of the apartment building. She didn't really feel anything when it happened, she just twitched a little for a brief moment, but nothing serious happened. It was that night that she discovered her powers. First, it was the telepathy. During supper, Hisoka's parents were arguing over God knows what. She sat there peacefully eating her peas, barely listening to the fight. She looked up for a moment without any reason, staring intently at her parents. Then, she heard her father. It seemed to be in her mind, as his lips had stopped moving. This happened with multiple people for a while, and soon Hisoka learned to control herself. Before that, though, that same night after dinner, Hisoka was changing into pajamas. She had been thinking about random things, as four-year-olds do, like "What if I had kitty paws? Would I be able to catch birdies?" After this thought passed through her head, Hisoka's hands had actually changed into cat paws for a moment. Unlike most people, Hisoka beamed and squealed, entertained by her abilities. [/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=transparent]About ten years later, when Hisoka was fourteen, news spread that people like her- the Gifted- were bad people who would destroy everything. Her parents had actually found out about her abilities a few years before, and she was never really allowed to go very far on her own any more. After the news of these criminals who happened to be Gifted surfaced, Hisoka's parents never let her out of the house unsupervised, afraid she would get hurt or join those like her who were commiting crimes. Even later after this, when Hisoka was about nineteen, her parents were executed for "harboring a possibly dangerous person", or something along those lines. It didn't matter that Hisoka had never harmed anyone, or that she was just their daughter, she was Gifted. Hisoka left the city for a while, never staying in one place for too long. When she heard of Gabriel and his underground utopia for Gifted people, she got on the first bus there without any regrets. Finally, she could be around others like her![/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Equipment: Old pair of Italian stiletto knives (usually kept in knife holsters at her thighs under her skirts/dresses, or at a holster under her shirt), hair elastics & clips (sounds lame, but you don't want your hair in your face during a fight.)[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Abilities: Telepathy- Hisoka uses telepathy to read the minds of her foes, or just to goof around with people. It (obviously) makes it easier for her to know what someone is about to do (so long as they're thinking about it) and for her to communicate with her allies if they're going to work together but can't say their plans aloud. Using her telepathy for more than about 10 minutes straight leaves Hisoka light-headed and her mind becomes foggy and confused.[/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=transparent]Shapeshifting- Hisoka uses her ability to shapeshift to hide from others or dodge weapons (or fists or feet, whatever she needs to get out of the way of). She can change completely into a different form (she's better at taking on a beastly form, as humans are a bit more complex than random creature parts thrown together to form something frightening), or certain body parts can change. (Ex.- Hisoka's legs may take the form of a creature's legs that are better for running or jumping if she is fleeing) Shapeshifting physically weakens Hisoka if she uses it longer than 20 minutes straight, causing her to feel nauseous and slow.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Weaknesses: Hisoka is wary of new people in her life, usually believing they are suspect. She's not very good at working with others and absolutely despises being inferior to others. Hisoka is not very good at making quick decisions, either, since she always needs to figure out every little thing that could happen in any situation before being satisfied, which can come in handy in a select few situations but is often undesirable in Hisoka's life.[/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=transparent]Strengths: [/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=transparent]Hisoka is very good at reading emotions even without using her telepathy, and for her it is very easy to tell if someone is lying or if they are nervous. She is very swift, flexible, clever, and light on her feet. She is surprisingly good with children and animals, although she avoids young kids when she can (not so much animals, though).[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Misc: [/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=transparent]([/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=transparent]Paradise) Hisoka practices entomophagy (the eating of bugs) and is always willing to lecture someone on how healthy it is. ("Aw, come on! It tastes just like chicken!") She usually doesn't eat other meats, unless she eats out and there isn't too much of a choice. She mostly eats fried bees, hornworms, cicadas, cockroaches, and water bugs. When she wants to seem "normal" though, she sticks to sushi, fruit, salad, and most healthy foods.[/BCOLOR]

Description:
He's 6,1 ft and 17 years older. He's has bright red eyes, black hair with red tips and generally wears all black outfits.

Personality:
Kuria is normally silent and keeps his thoughts to himself, he is incredibly selfish and only thinks of himself in dangerous situations. He's also a glutton who will eat whatever he can get his hands on no matter the situation, his personality is due to the only person he loved dying and him finding himself abandoned once again.

Backstory:
Kurias past was a painful one, at a young age he was abandoned by his parents on the streets of a slum. Supposedly they were rich and didn't want a bastard child as their heir but he didn't care, they were dead to him. He was raised by other kids that were in the same position as him and became a pickpocket, he spent every day stealing from the rich and poor alike until one day he decided to sneak into a local smithy looking for valuables however an accident occurred and Kuria burt his entire left arm into a black scared mess. He passed out from the sheer pain and luckily the owner returned in time to save him.
This was when his power where revealed. Due to his life he had eaten very little and had little to burn off to heal meaning his arm would be scared forever however the owner of the smithy Alice sheltered him, feeding him and helping back into health. This is when she noticed no matter how much she fed him he didn't put on any weight worried she took of his bandages on his arm to notice that it was completely healed and new he had been mutated. After that she took Kuria in like her own child, teaching him how to read, write and work the smith. However this happiness didn't last, at age 17 Kuria returned to be found dead. She had been killed by some humans who suspected her of harbouring a mutant, in despair with no where to go he left for paradise and vowed vengeance on all those who caused Alice's pain.

Equipment:
Owns a black coat, specially made by Alice to protect Kuria. It's padded with metal and leather making it strong but heavy. He also owns a pair of gloves padded with steel and steel tipped boots.

Abilities:
Regeneration- He has a strong regeneration factor, it heals everything up to severed limbs however it has two disadvantages. One, it can't heal main organs this consists of the heart, eyes and brain if damaged won't be fixed by his regeneration power. Two, to regenerate it burns of energy from his body (body fat/ energy) so if used to much he can lose muscle and weight leaving him exhausted. It also takes time to regenerate, missing limbs take days and deep cuts can take hours making this useless if fighting/ active it's only use is to stop the bleeding whilst fighting or active.

Total control- This gives him total control of his own body, this mean he can control the speed of reactions and bodily functions such hormones etc. This means he can control how much power he can exert from his own body however this is exhausting for him and means he has concentrate to do this.

Weaknesses:
- Has a eating disorder due to past and over eats
- Weak immune system
- Doesn't like talking to other people who don't have powers

Strengths:
+ Has a incredibly high intelligence which is useful for His total control powers
+ Was raised by a blacksmith so knows how to create armour and weapons etc
+ Incredibly fit due to work as a pickpocket at a young age and work as a blacksmith

Um no not in the sense of spells and incantations. But some say that the abilities some have are magical rather than a mutation.

Also, since you're messing with regenerative abilities, id like to ask if you'd keep the time it takes to regenerate low. Like yes you can regenerate a Limb, but it would take a little less than a couple days, and a cut or scrap takes an hour. If you could change that then id say the ability part of your character checks out ^_^

[BCOLOR=transparent]Description: Lynbell wears multiple friendship bracelets on her right wrist, which she keeps in case she makes a friend. She always wears a crescent moon necklace, which she took from her mother before she ran away.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Personality: She comes off as a very paranoid person and not trusting of herself near others, it's because of her constant fear of accidentally hurting someone with the strength she possesses. Lynbell is sweet to others, kind, and very selfless, but the selflessness acts as an "apology" beforehand in case her fears come true. If she believes she hurts you emotionally instead of physically, she would do anything to have that person forgive her. [/BCOLOR]

Lynbell used to do a lot of watercolor painting, so anything that looks artistic or music of any kind (except rap and country) can put her at ease.

When the solar flare happened, Lynbell didn't feel a thing happen to her body. In fact, she felt as normal as she did before it occurred. Though when her strength was discovered, she thought she could be extra helpful with it. Such as lifting the couch when her father vacuumed or helping her mother move the dinosaur age televisions around the house without said mom pulling out her back. Though when the incident occurred of her tearing her brother's finger off, her family seemed to be in fear of her. It had been an accident, but because she was capable of something such as that, they feared that one day Lynbell may kill them. So, to ease them of their worries, she packed what she could and ran away from home in the dead of night. When she discovered that there was a utopia for people "gifted" with supernatural/superhuman abilities, Lynbell decided that this may be the change she needed.

Strength: Lynbell has the strength of a primate, which means the ability of being able to 850 pounds of weight one handed and 1,200 pounds two handed. This ability works in the same way as a human would under adrenaline though more extreme due to the strength factor. Her body releases glucose, which her muscles take and use as energy. Due to this power, there are a lot of drawbacks for Lynbell. The first and major one is her diet; Lynbell must eat a lot of foods rich in calcium and carbohydrates. At least 3 square meals with at least 3 different items that provide enough calcium and carbs to keep her going. The second is she must drink as much milk as she does water, so that she doesn't break her own bones if the strength is needed for a situation. The third is that if Lynbell is not given her recommended meals and beverages, she will begin to suffer nausea, headaches, inability to focus mentally, fatigue, and higher risk of constipation. Even if it's just one meal missed, Lynbell could begin feeling the effects. And the final is that if she strains her muscles too hard, she could severely hurt herself and will be unable to use that limb for at least a day or two.

~She is very, very afraid of contact with another person. This is because when she and her brother were horseplaying, she accidentally tore off one of his fingers which had been reattached. Lynbell is even afraid of just shaking someone's hand or gently patting their shoulder.

~She has anxiety, which makes her expect the worst to happen to her in any given situation. Though her thoughts are unvoiced, Lynbell always believes that if she touches someone, she will hurt them in some way like she did her brother, hence her fear of human contact.

~She has a fear of darkness; Not the dark itself, but what could be lurking around in it.

~Short sighted

[/BCOLOR]Outgoing, sassy, a bit sarcastic, and tends to be on the bad side of "The Norms" as he refers to them (or one of his many nicknames for them). He tends to keep his friends close, and will offer a shoulder to cry on if you really need it.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Khirel has always jumped from one adoption home to another. His parents, last he heard about them, couldn't afford to keep him and so gave him up to the orphanage in hopes that he would live a better life while they got their own on track. Unfortunately, that was only half true. When the solar flare happened, he received his abilities of being able to create glyphs around the room, which made it incredibly tricky for anyone to catch him. The people who adopted him didn't know he possessed such abilities, and sent him back because they refused to raise a mutant. The same always happened when Khirel was adopted by another family, because he refuses to hide his abilities. He thinks he shouldn't have to hide what he's capable of. And when he first heard of this utopia, he was more than willing to take the chance.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Teleportation Glyphs: One of Khirel's eyes turned blue, and the other is green, which allows him to make only two teleportation glyphs at a time, mid air or on a surface, in any direction he wants. The possession of his ability has heightened his reflexes to the point that going a certain speed allows him to see his surroundings more slowly than usual, and forced him to work his muscles like a parkour runner. This is because he (or any person going through the glyphs) will accelerate faster and faster the more they go through i, and will require strength to recover from a landing. [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]The major drawback of this ability is that the faster you go, Khirel will need to have the reflexes to match to change the direction of the glyph mid flight. Death is very possible, because he or another person can very well splat on the ground if Khirel isn't careful with his ability. He also has to be able to see where the glyph will be put, and have the concentration to keep them both there. Otherwise, they'll disappear and the person will hurt themselves depending on the speed they're going.[/BCOLOR]
