The RP will be starting Wednesday, January 11th (no expected time of day). Sign-ups will continue past the game starting, but only for a little while.

"This... is where it all started. The beginning of it all."

Taken from different dimensions, placed in a world unknown to them all, forced to undergo a game of death and betrayal. A race against time and the Traitors that lurk within. The first of what would later become many. The untold origin of the Murder Games.

l97CWet.png

The untold story of the first ever Murder Game is now brought to light.

All across the multiverse exists countless worlds. An unfathomable amount of dimensions and worlds. Universes that, for the most part, hardly even know of the other's presence.

And within this massive multiverse, a group of individuals, unlikely warriors and allies, are dragged into a world unknown to them against their own will by a mysterious, yet powerful, god-like being for a purpose unknown to them. A purpose entailing being the first subjects of a dangerous game under construction. A Murder Game. But will the individuals from across dimensions be able to overcome the trap laid before them, as well as the other villains in the shadows conspiring against them?

1. Naturally, all of Iwaku's rules apply here.

2. Please be respectful towards everyone, including myself and @Atomyk, as the main two GMs, and our lovely helpers / co-GMs, @Klutzy Ninja Kitty and @Jeremi! Our word is law, but we are benevolent gods.

3. If you're a newcomer, welcome! Though the Murder Series is a mass fandom roleplay with its own original lore that's been built up and up for a while, don't let all that intimidate you, especially since this is a prequel to the series, and thus, has a fresh image. Though it might require quite a bit of reading to grasp the full situation of the premise, previous knowledge of the Murder Series or any of the past events isn't totally required. That being said, as a fairly tight-knit community, we suggest and encourage you to join our Murder Group to keep up with updates and meet the community. Also see our Discord server!

4. No OOC talk in the IC, please. Take it to the group or Discord. By extension, OOC drama isn't permitted anywhere either. If you have a problem with someone, take it to PMs and settle it in a civil manner.

5. This should be a given, but no godmodding / metagaming! If you don't have a clear idea on what those are, see this post here.

6. Players of all posting levels are welcome here. That being said, please at least put something whenever you make a post. We'd like as little IC posts being nothing but image spam or so as possible. Speaking of image spam, please only post a maximum of three images / GIFs per post in order to not flood the page with images that make it harder to load.

7. Due to the intended speed of the game, it is practically a requirement to seek out other users to be your "posting partners" so that you have some people you can stick with. Using the tagging system is absolutely required. This is actually very important. It's fine (and encouraged) to only keep up with a few characters / players for the majority of the game, as that is far easier than trying to keep tabs on everyone. Summaries and important GM posts will be made prominent.

8. Please post once a chapter. Chapters will generally last from a few days up to a few weeks, so you'll hopefully have plenty of time. Not doing so will result in your character possibly being removed from the game. At the very least, PM me or @Atomyk if anything comes up and I'll do my best to keep you around.

9. We'll be implementing a limit for the amount of duos and OCs allowed, specifically a limit of 5 for both, though we're hoping that we won't get to that much. Duos must be from the same canon, and they must be characters that would normally ally with each other. You're allowed to reserve beforehand a spot for one of them if you'd like. Also, do note that if we deem your character too powerful for the event, they will be subject to nerfing.

10. Because of how this is a prequel, we'll be making it so that you aren't allowed to play specific incarnations of certain characters that have already appeared in the Murder Series, for the timeline's sake, though AUs are fair game. If you're a relative newcomer, don't pay this one too much mind.

11. Might be a bit cliche to add, but most importantly, have fun!

Zrmnnwg.png

We're going back to basics with this one in order to fit the theme of going back to the past, of course, so this event will be far simpler than has been in quite a while. Three of the players will be assigned the Traitor role should they accept, and with every mid-chapter update, they will commit one murder among the cast. It is then up to the survivors to ascertain who the culprit is and vote out, or rather "banish," who they believe it is. If you get murdered, don't fret! We have a special afterlife plot to keep you invested in the game that'll eventually lead your character back to the main cast. Same goes for whoever is voted out, regardless of whether you actually do turn out to be a Traitor or not.

As far as how the game goes, that's actually pretty much it. We're going that far back to basics, so no Agents or other special roles.

Appearance: Self-explanatory. Just a picture is fine.

Name: What is your character's name? Do they generally go by an alias / nickname?

Age: Chronologically, how old is your character?

Canon: What does your character originate from? If your character is an OC, just say "OC" or "Murder Series," depending on where they come from of course. If your character is an OC specifically from an established canon, put the name of the canon and "OC" next to it.

Powers / Abilities / Equipment: What is your character capable of, and if they have notable items they carry around, like weapons, is there anything special about them? While we'll be lenient with what to nerf and what not to, naturally, you know the drill. In any case, even just a Wiki link is fine.

Personality: What does your character act like, typically? Again, just a Wiki link is acceptable.

Short Bio: What is your character's backstory in a nutshell leading up to how they came to come here? Once again, pretty much just a Wiki link is acceptable.

Other Info: Optional. Just basically any extra info you feel is necessary that the GMs should know about.

"The name of this shield is True Apocrypha Gamaliel. All that is impure will be struck, and is the embodiment of righteous order."

Name

Riesbyfe Stridberg

Age

Unknown, likely at least 20

Canon

RtDJ6ma.jpg

Powers / Abilities / Equipment

Riesbyfe possesses above average strength, speed, durability, and other general capabilities. With her iron gauntlet, she is said to be able to generate at least two tons of force behind it, though it is unknown if that is accurate or if she was simply exaggerating, as she was originally going to say five, but was unsure if that was too much, and down-scaled herself to two. She is also knowledgeable of certain types of magecraft, though it is unknown how much she is able to exactly use.

However, her most notable weapon is her Conceptual Weapon, True Apocrypha, also referred to as Spear Key, Gun Shield, or Gamaliel. A large shield shaped like a string instrument, it is sometimes able to briefly materialize several glyphs as well as the illusion of a completely deserted ruin bathed in the horizon upon the usage of its power, but details are unknown. The shield is also able to protect her from attacks on a more supernatural level that could have otherwise consumed her entire form and will.

Personality

Akin to a knight of older times, Riesbyfe is proud, chivalrous, and selfless. She is merciless towards her enemies, particularly vampires, but also gentle and gregarious with those she calls allies, particularly cute girls, whom she dislikes raising her hands toward. She holds much faith in her Christian God, but naturally holds different views from the traditional believer, as par the course for the work she operates within.

Though she is a knight of much discipline and self-control, she is still very much a young woman, on occasion letting her knightly mien slip and almost acting like a normal girl at times, such as "having fun" if she finds the time semi-appropriate, feeling a strange urge to hit people she doesn't like, and more.

She has a tendency to put metaphors about music and theater in her speech sometimes.

Short Bio

Before ending up in the mysterious situation that would later go down as the first of many Murder Games, Riesbyfe was the leader of the knight's heresy persecution group and an official Shield Knight vampire hunter from the Holy Church.

Sent to Italy in order to combat a dangerously powerful vampire known as the Night of Wallachia, or TATARI, working alongside other Holy Knights and young alchemist Sion Eltnam Atlasia, the vampire ended up far more powerful than anticipated, destroying all who had gotten in his way. It was only through Riesbyfe's sacrifice, letting herself be consumed by the TATARI, that he was eventually quelled down. Fortunately, Riesbyfe's shield had protected her from completely losing herself within the TATARI, and little did she know that she would end up somewhere else completely, in not just a different world, but rather, a different universe altogether.

Other Info

She has a weird love-hate relationship with cats, similar to a certain other esteemed female member of the Holy Church.

Name
Cullen Bloodstone

Age
Teens

Canon
Marvel Comics

Powers / Abilities / Equipment
Wiki Link

Due to his heritage and his father's teachings, Cullen is proficient with survival and a wide variety of weaponry.

As well, due to the Bloodgem Ring in Cullen's possession (and theoretically due to his genetic heritage as well), he possesses superior strength, durability, stamina, reflexes, and senses beyond that of a regular human, as well as some form of healing factor. Though the extent of these abilities is unclear, they seem less powerful than either his father or sister, which could be due to either his age or the monster that has bonded with his soul.

The ring also inhibits this monster, the Glartrox, from overtaking Cullen's body. When not in physical contact with the ring (or presumably any shard of the Bloodgem), Cullen turns into the Glartrox, which is an extremely large and powerful monster that feeds on negative emotions. In this form, Cullen has no control, and thus is a danger to friend and foe alike.

Cullen has gained some power over the Glartrox, able to use some of its power to produce and manipulate pieces of the monster, such as tentacles, from himself. On one occasion he has suppressed the Glartrox through sheer force of will without the Bloodgem, but it's unlikely to be repeated again.

Bio/Personality
Wiki Link

Cullen is mostly a brooding and sullen individual, fostered in part due to two years spent stranded in a hellish alternate dimension during his childhood. Though he only remembers the first six months of the experience, Cullen was brought home by his sister, Elsa, with the knowledge that he was now possessed by a soul beast. His sister enrolled him into Braddock Academy so he could be looked after, but Cullen maintained distance from many of the other students. He partly envied some and hated others, not wanting to be anyone's friends, though it just so happened that he had one exception. Cullen became close a boy named Aiden, even developing a crush on him.

Cullen, Aiden, and a few other students from Braddock Academy ended up becoming kidnapped as part of a Murderworld death game, where Arcade tried to force the students into killing each other. Cullen ended up being one of the survivors of the incident, though his feelings for Aiden were made clear as well. Afterward, Cullen wanted revenge for what Arcade had done, so he went to Bagalia in order to infiltrate the Masters of Evil and find Arcade.

Cullen found that he enjoyed life among the villains, feeling as if this was his path all along. Daimon Hellstrom teleported Cullen and the other survivors of the Murderworld incident to Arcade's latest party so that they could kill him. After doing so, they escaped Arcade's mansion, but was captured by SHIELD, where they were promptly "rescued" by Hellstrom and returned to Bagalia. They were invited into Tower Zemo, where Baron Zemo invited them to join the Masters of Evil. They all joined, whether they were coerced or did so willingly, but when they learned the ultimate plans of the villains, they attempted to warn the Avengers. Hellstrom controlled Cullen's Glartrox monster into fighting the group, where Cullen eventually overpowered the soul beast with Aiden's encouragement. Following the battle, the group, including Cullen, returned to their regular lives.

Name
Setsuna of the Moment of Dreams, Claimh Solais, typically goes by Setsuna

Age
N/A/Ageless

Canon
Kyoshiro to Towa no Sora

Powers / Abilities / Equipment
-Absolute Energy/Eternal Mana: A special aura that only they possess that is the source of all of their powers. There is a major catch, though - to receive this energy(which they require to not only fight and use as energy, but most importantly, to heal. Without it? No healing. No energy. No nothing. The only way to receive this energy is through kissing someone on the lips.
-Absolute Transference: Able to surpass all known laws of physics
-Flight: Obviously, the ability to fly
-Immortal: Also obvious. She doesn't age
-Absolute Regeneration: This means that she heals/regenerates much faster and more efficiently than humans.
-Absolute Destruction: Can release their 'internal energy stores' and cause mass devastation
-Claimh Solais Right Hand Sword: Like all other Absolute Angels, Setsuna possesses a battle form, of sorts. This is Setsuna's.

Personality
Setsuna's personality is one that is very... Difficult to describe. To put it simply, she is very naive, and often seems distant and perhaps even uncaring- when she actually cares deeptly.

Short Bio
Basically enslaved, more or less, by her 'creator's grandson, Setsuna has been being forced to do his bidding for a time before finding herself here.

Name:
Shirou Yusa

Age:
17/Eternal as Ren's Apoptosis

Canon:
Dies Irae

Powers / Abilities / Equipment:
Despite supposedly having no superhuman powers, Shirou is easily capable of keeping up and beating down superhuman opponents. Enemies too fast to be seen that shrug off nuclear weapons like mosquito bites can be injured by his fists. In addition, he carries around a Desert Eagle that he tends to fire one-handed, which shoots bullets that negate the supernatural.

He also has access to another character's Holy Relic, which grants him another multitude of abilities. He's brought up to the level of a true superhuman physically and can sense, consume, and attack souls. Nothing on the planet is capable of harming him, including nuclear weapons, poisons, etc. This also allows him to regenerate as long as his soul hasn't been destroyed.

His Briah, or personal ability and law, is Malignant Tumor Apoptosis, which allows him to automatically nullify any and all superhuman powers, bringing them down to the level of a normal human. Even Hadou Gods, which manipulate the fabric of reality, are not safe from his Apoptosis.

Personality:
Careless, confident, stubborn. The kind of guy you'd expect the rebellious kind to be.

Short Bio:
Shirou is the childhood friend of Ren Fuji, but suddenly and without warning, he elected to fight to the death with him in order to "see what other routes life had." After being hospitalized, he sneaked away and took over the city's underworld, becoming the boss of the gangs in the city. Finding out about Ren's battle against the Longinus Dreizehn Orden, he jumped in and fought alongside Ren to kick the ancient soldiers out of their city.

Name: Joshua of House Jehenna

Age: Most likely early 20s.

Canon: Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones, just before meeting Eirika and her company in Chapter 5.

Powers / Abilities / Equipment: A mercenary and myrmidon by profession and skill, Joshua is a natural and swift swordsman, easily able to outpace fellow competitors in duels and dance about them. Likewise, years of training have honed his ability to know where to make his mark on a foe to ensure the greatest wound, resulting in many soldiers and warriors to fall after only one or two blows. However, this focus upon agility and precision have left him with only average strength and endurance, and his single-minded training in swordsmanship has left him with little means to fight magicians who fight at range.

Generally, Joshua is seen carrying a type of blade called a Killing Edge in the Fire Emblem series. Killing Edges, while not as common as normal iron swords, are still prevalent throughout all the series's entries, typically taking the form of a saber designed for quick, agile cuts that do not rely on one's strength but their speed and skill.

Personality: A roguish and carefree individual on the battlefield and in the tavern, Joshua's philosophy seems to be one of seeking greater thrills in his actions, relying more on his luck than just his abilities in duels. However, while seemingly a simple man, the myrmidon proves a cunning foe for many, shown in his talents of cheating at cards and dice during his bouts of gambling. Finally, the rogue is a flirtatious sort with the fairer sex.

However, friends of the swordsman typically mention that he hides a kinder and more genuine side for moments of privacy...

Short Bio: Born to Isamaire, the ruler of the Kingdom of Jehenna, Joshua was raised up as a prince of the desert land, given great training as a swordsman. However, ten years before his appearance in Chapter 5, the young rogue disappeared from the palace he had once called home to wander the land. By his own admission, he left his mother and his title in order to better learn of his people's needs and pains to become a wise ruler so that he would be worthy of the crown in his own eyes. However, he's typically tight-lipped about the subject, instead preferring to pass himself off as a wandering arena junkie and warrior for hire.

Other Info: Just the link to Joshua's wiki page.

almost forgot about this lol

I'll be taking an OC slot btw ;3

Well, I imagine you know these abilities will be removed.

-Absolute Regeneration: This means that she heals/regenerates much faster and more efficiently than humans.

Is her regeneration like... Wolverine levels? And how massive we talking for the destruction?

I'm pretty much nerfing all of it, so it's gonna be really minor, lol. For the regeneration, she basically heals all the way when she gets kissed but doesn't otherwise.
