~Katelyn Winters~
Katelyn was distracted from her job when a soft voice called out, one that made the brunette sigh in relief at. Her shift was over! Brown orbs flickered from the table towards the petite blonde who was garbed in the same attire of her as she slowly wound her hair up to a ponytail.
"Alice..." She called out as she hurried over to the other.
"Its your shift now?" She questioned, receiving a grin and a nod from the other.
"Yep! Covering for someone this shift so you can go if you want." She told her, an action that had Katelyn delighted.
"Brilliant!" She replied, pulling out the notepad and pen to pass to the other as she began to undo the knot on her apron.
"Have fun then Alice!" She cooed, already hurrying off to the staff room to grab her coat and belongings.
Around five minutes later, the part time worker had slung a dark green jacket across her shoulders along with her bag where her phone now rested. Her hair now fell back across her shoulders as the ribbon was around her wrist, tied. Exiting the back room, she walked over to the counter to say her goodbyes to Marcus and grab the collected tips for her before she gave a small wave and hurried from the place. She had no classes today, thank god, though she did have some work, Katelyn planned to just laze around for the day, maybe even send messages to her matches.
As she left the doors, Kate simply yawned, pulling her glasses away for a moment as she rubbed at her eyes, only replacing the spectacles a few moments later before she headed to the nearest crossing, a hum on her lips.
"Maybe I should text Hitoshi...I never did get to say goodbye properly." She muttered, pressing an orange nail against her lip as she crossed, only to take the next left.
"Then there is Shiroshi...but he is busy." She added, bringing three fingers up to her line of site.
"Then the last, Junko." Counting the last finger, she paused in her steps for a moment.
"All...are Japanese names, right?" She questioned herself, brows furrowed before shrugging.
"Interesting."
Around ten minutes later, Katelyn was digging out a set of keys from a smaller inside pocket of her bag before unlocking her door with a soft huff. Finally back, she placed her keys on the table at the door before pulling off her coat and bag, putting them on the couch as she entered the living room of the apartment.
"What to do...food?" Katelyn walked over to the fridge, the only sound following her being the sound of her heeled boots on the tiled floor of the kitchen area.
The brunette was about to pull out a milkshake and some fruit from her fridge when a sound echoed from her door, making her peer up for a moment before she headed over, door closing behind her. She had trudged back through the hallway and to the entrance with a curious expression upon her features, specially as she pulled open the door.
"Hello?" At her door was a man garbed in a suit and styled back hair, the formality in the air made her cautious for a moment.
"U-Um...Can I help you?" She asked. A nod was all she got before he spoke, a ticket held out for her to take.
"From Miss.Junko, for the Circus event."
Noticing the name, of course as she could not forget, Katelyn took the item delicately before frowning.
"Wait...what event?" But by then, the man had left and Katelyn was left in utter confusion.
"What event?" She questioned before closing the door, a frown on her features. It was only then that she noticed the few envelopes that had piled up on the floor just below the door. Blinking owlishly, the girl reached down to pluck them from the floor, the ticket in her other hand as she headed back to the couch, slumping down.
Pulling open the one from Gaze upon me, Katelyn found herself both excited and anxious. While it sounded interested to attend a circus along with meeting her match, she could not deny that the lack of information on the other was causing a small bit of panic. In the end, she decided to put her thoughts on it aside until the day, for not to just focus on dealing with her hunger.
