I think we all know Jon's not dead. They're just going to keep people in suspense so they'll watch. If they confirm his death, they'll likely lose quite a few fans because there are far too many assholes in the series and there needs to be some type of balance. If they keep people guessing, everyone is going to be glued to their seats the premiere, waiting to find out what happened to him.
Technically, he is dead, so them saying 'Yes, Jon's dead' isn't quite a lie. However, what we don't know is if he stays dead. They're not going to tell us, but I just wish they'd stop with the whole 'He's dead' 'He's not dead' thing. Just tell people to wait and see, it's what we're stuck doing anyway.
