  1. Here be where we plot things!!!

    Houses (open)

    NAERALE People:
    Lir:
A family rooted deeply in scholarship, religion and judicial fields. The Lir clan was once one of the highest houses of the Naerale people, often holding important places in court. Half of the family often assumed judiciary roles while the other half largely devoted themselves to studying, medicine, and the faith, they all lived comfortably. Their house words "Wisdom can rule the stars" has influenced generations of the Lir clan. The family was often wealthy and powerful although they never formally held any lands, rather, they were often granted lavish gifts and extreme hospitality due to their prestige and links to the royal family.
When the rise of the Warkings spelled the end of the prosperous era for the Naerale people, the Lir house were first to bend the knee, for this they were initially branded traitors, ridiculed and scorned for three generations before the spirit of all Naerale people was well and truly broken.
Due to their superior knowledge compared to a number of other houses, plus their willingness to serve, the Lir house was spared a great deal of losses suffered by other houses and many children of the Lir clan were granted easier positions within the court such as maid duties or stablehand duties, many other Naerale people were forced into dangerous and labour intensive slave work and working the fields. At first this caused bitterness between the few remaining Naerale houses but over time these hostilities have waned, the Naerale people, or whats left of them, band together rahter than linger on what happened during Crysters invasion.

    Faw:
An incredibly proud and fearsome family, the Faw, in constrast to the Lir, were the last house to fall beneath the King Cryster the Conquerer, and even then, a significant portion of what remained of this great family fled to live in the wilds. Before the crushing war, the Faw family and their associates made up a majority of the Naerale military forces, a significant number of factions were led under Faw generals. As King Haimmon began to eat, drink and deprive the land, Faw and Lir family attempted to work together to save the crumbling kingdom but Cryster striked at just the right time to exploit this weakness and all of the Naerale Kingdom fell.
Before the war, the Faw House held a large area in the south-west of Naerale controlled region, they dominated the coast line and grew wealthy and prosperous however the militaristic family cared little for the care of crops and livestock or maintaining harbours and trade, therefore they gave up their lands to other houses who would better utilise the wealth of resources, moving this clan to live within the Naerale capital and defend the castle for generations, their claim to these lands was never refuted however, until Cryster took all Naerale lands, therefore the Faw family could reclaim their lands peacefully at any given time before the invasion. Despite their indomitable strength the family did not favour ruling and instead chose to serve the royal family unreservedly, which they done so for generations up until King Haimmon and the invasion of Cryster.
The family has the Wolverine for their sigil, due to their fearlessness and hunger for battle (much like a wolverine). The family wear wolverine pelts for decoration. The family motto is "Never Yield". Following the fall of the Naerale people the Faw family adopted the motto "Wounded, Never Conquered".

    Roz:
One of the few houses that wasn't utterly devastated in the various uprisings, Roz bears the sigil of a flaming man, they are renowned archers, earning their nickname and motto from the manner in which they hunt and fight, by setting their arrows alight and striking in the heart. Great friends to the Faw family, many of their ancestors were brothers in arms.

    WARKINGS:
    Forthwind:
The Forthwinds trace their descent from the infamous Stone Giants of the North, mineworkers who withstood the heavy beating of the Wind Gods since time immemorial and dug deep beneath the crust into the belly of the Stone Beast, cracking the core into a labyrinth.
Theirs is the mastery of handicraft carved into stone, a frightening three-headed Giant, on his back a Mountain of rocks and stones that peer through a rift in the clouds where the olden gods convene. At the foot of the Mountain, abreast the Giant, lies Windstorm, weathered and old, but still aggressive and defiant – the Castle Never at Rest.
During the Wyvern siege, the Stone Giants pledged loyalty to the Warkings in the wake of defeat but rose to power once more during the reign of Ancel the Kind who wedded his daughter to Wilmont the Huge, Stone Lord of the North, and thus sealed the sworn oath in blood. In the known day, the Stone Giants are Giants no more, but excellent traders and mongers of precious stones. Their blazon is a grey giant caught in a spiraling hurricane on a sky blue background. The way of life they adhere to rings in the words of Isac the Wise –

    Swann
Sigil: a silver swan on a blue background.
A renowned royal family, they've always been close to whoever is in power, quickly trading off their daughters to Lords and Princes to climb the ladder. THey are a power hungry house and rather matriarchal which is unusual. They put on the appearance they want what is best for the realm but by in large they often want what serves them and their own best. Lady Arelia is a Swan, now married to Lord Bartelort.

    --still editing--

    Warborn
The ruling house of the realm, they live true to the name and laid waste to the southern Naerale lands, and area no other house has properly conquered before. Their sigil is a war horse.
    -still editing--

    Poole
Pirateering clan, they fell into good graces with King Cryster I when they supplied ships and gold to aid the invasion, in return the Poole family were granted great lands in the south, namely the harbour that formerly belonged to the Faw House. Their sigil is a ship on a green-blue background.

    History (open)

The Ancient Warkings had ridden across the Great Deep to a new Land, and settled on one side of the Wyvern Mountain, the Heart of the perpetual Fires, while the Allover Land spread on the other. For centuries, the Warkings had been trying to disturb the peace the Naerale people had bestowed upon the land but alas, to no avail. They pillaged and raped, but fell too short to conquer until Cryster the Mighty rose to power on his huge, black destrier and slew the last Naerale King, Haimmon the Hungry whose desire for food, wine and women could never be satisfied. Haimmon the Hungry starved his people and weakened his grip on the land and its many tribes. Cryster the Mighty seized the given opportunity and declared himself the First Warking of the Allover Land. Alas, bloodshed did not end there. A fierce Naerale commander slew his heirs but failed to kill the new King. Thus began the age of Naerale Slavery – Cryster decreed all purple-eyed fiends be Lords of no Land, never ahorse, bastards in the eyes of their masters, weapon and mercy-deprived. Their villages were pillaged and destroyed, and new castles and watchtowers, a fierce commander in each, were erected instead.

Cryster's children and his childrens children assumed the throne and leadership of the entire realm for the decades that followed. An alliance with the powerful House Alart strengthened Cryster and his childrens hold over the realm and the Alart clan have faithfully served as advisors to the royal family ever since the invasion.

A Indigo Uprising occured during the third year of Cryster's son, Gyffard's, rule. The Naerale managed to claim back a tower named "The Spire" on the north side of the Wyvern mountain, the first time Naerale had ever held dominion north of the range, however following Gyffard's rule his heir claimed back the Spire in a brutal attack named "The Night of Purple Steel", every single Naerale person inside the tower had their neck slit open, three Naerale houses died out that night and that was the last of the Naerale uprising for a number of years.

Four generations along the line of succession, under the rule of King Cryster II - The Baby Killer, it was discovered that there was a bastard half-Naerale-Half-Warking child within the court. The baby was killed and Cryster II staged a mass witch hunt for any half-Naerale bastards, all were killed along with the Naerale men/women who fathered/birthed them.

200 years after Cyster's conquering of the south, the Naerale have gone relatively quiet, however an underground movement is gaining momentum in the royal capital.

--Who is ruling now? Who are the current kings advisors?--

    Races and notable persons (open)

Naerale - A race living south of the Wyvern Mountain Range. They are noted for their striking eyes which range from striking light blue, to indigo and deep purple shades. They are living in subservience to the ruling warkings and are oppressed.

Warkings - The race from north of the Wyvern Mountains, they have dominated the entire realm since Cryster the Conquerer.

Cryster I - Conquered the South several hundred years ago

Haimmon - Last king of the Naerale people, wasn't well liked as his hunger for food, wine and women deprived his people

    [@CaptainObvious]-still tweaking-

    Ardeyn Faw (open)

    The Prisoner
    [IMG]
    Name: Ardeyn Faw
Title: Faw wyr Kinard van Ardeyn
(House Faw, son of Kinard given the name Ardeyn)

    House sigil: Wolverine

    House motto:
Wounded, Never Conquered (following the fall of Naerale people).
    Never Yield (ancient motto)

    Age: 21

Appearance: Dark lilac eyes, sallow skin, long brown hair often features a small braid. He is a tall figure, muscled but lithe his physique resembles that of a panther or other wildcat, slim but powerful. He has a scar from the top left side of his neck, down across his collarbone to the right side of his chest.
Since he is Naerale, he fashions himself in the clothing/armour of the Naerale people. A wolverine pelt is a common accessory due to his family crest, anyone else in Naerale history who wore wolverine pelts outside of the Faw family were slain and their pelts claimed for the Faw family alone. It has been many centuries since a Naerale person has worn wolverine pelts outside of the Faw family, few exceptions include those introduced to the Faw family by marriage or occasionally when another family is gifted a pelt from the Faws. Anyone else is forbidden from wearing wolverine pelts.

    Rank/Title: Prisoner/no rank/title

Likes: All things Naerale :sunglasses:, horse riding under the full moon, hunting and a good meal (yum, food).
Dislikes: Warkings in general, being "stupid"/uneducated, his family being disgraced

Strengths/Abilities: Skilled warrior, he's proficient in ranged weapons (bows and throwing knives) and swordsmanship. He fights hard and fast.

Weaknesses/Fears: Light armour, he needs to strike fast and strike early or he runs the risk of being killed himself, particulary against larger heavily armed targets. Illiterate, cannot speak the common tongue. He has few fears, he does not fear death, he dislikes the thought of dying dishonourably but since the fall of the Naerale people hes rather disillusioned by the concept of honour.

Personality/Traits: Cold, arrogant, distant, slightly xenophobic and distrustful of non-Naerale people. Reluctant and stubborn, however once you win his trust he really will go above and beyond the call of duty to serve and protect an ally. He's clever but doubts in his own intellectual abilities, his family are warriors not scholars so he doesn't believe he is capable of learning things he is very much capable of actually learning. He's conflicted with his ancient family words "Deeds, not Words" which values brave courageous gestures and action rather than words, yet he believes in an age of diplomacy and politics, words can be more powerful than his ancestors gave credit. He wants to stay true to his familys words and fight his way to victory, yet he realises that in the "modern" world he lives in now, words are as powerful as the sword.

Bio: Coming from an old and powerful family, The Faw House took their fall from grace very badly and have always been rather rebellious, while many Naerale bent the knee to save themselves being slain, Faw was too proud a house and thus suffered devastating losses, the name almost dying out, lucky for Ardeyn, his family wasn't present in the Spire during the uprising and the bloodline managed to continue on.
Ardeyn's ancestors turned to nomadic means to survive rather than following other houses into lives of servitude.
Ardeyn was born out in the wilds and enjoyed a generally pleasant life unaware of the horrors of his peoples persecution, that is until the nomadic camp he was living in as a child was destroyed by Warkings. He was six years old and lost his parents in the chaos. He and his uncle escaped and the rest of Ardeyn's life was dedicated to hearing stories of his history and the war that destroyed his peoples former glorious lives and swearing vengeance for his people.
At age 14 he discovered the resistance and began to operate with them, living in underground rebel hideouts beneath the large cities ruled by the warkings.
The battle was largely uphill and fruitless, as the years passed, he became more influential among the rebels and also more conflicted as many of the rebels had different ideas on how/where/when to attack and what the end goals were. He was 21 when the rebels attempted a raid on one of the castles, a non-Naerale rebel sympathiser turned against them (was a double agent) and they were captured, Ardeyn included, he has since been imprisoned and even more distrustful of non-Naerale people.

    Talika Lir (open)

    The Scribe
    [IMG]

    Name: Talika Lir
Title: Lir wyr Marchan fhan Talika
(House Lir, daughter of Marchan, Talika)

    House Sigil: Star
House Motto: "Wisdom can rule the stars"

    Age: 18

Appearance: Petite, lilac eyes, blonde-brown hair cut shorter in a way that resembles the non-Naerale ladies of the court so she looks more appropriate.
She wears court clothes as opposed to Naerale clothing to reflect her position and her families stance (they bent the knee to the Warkings).

Rank/Title: scribe and handmaiden, low born (due to being Naerale).

Likes: Reading, reading and more reading. Warm baths, sweet cakes.

Dislikes: her weakness/fatigue, blood, her peoples oppression (although shes a lot more passive than Ardeyn)

Strengths/Abilities: multi-lingual, well versed in various histories of the World. Diplomatic, clever. Sewing/stitiching, cooking and first aid are also skills she possesses.

Weaknesses/Fears: weakened from a poison, easily fatigued, no combat skills whatsoever. She also refrains from speaking her voice and giving an opinion

Personality/Traits: Shy, meek, obedient, very inteligent, subervient, weak. She has great love and respect for people she becomes close to, tends to give her trust more easily than Ardeyn and has a better judge of character.

History: Born to a maid in the royal castle she is the product of a Naerale maid and Naerale groomers romance, her birth was nothing exceptional or extraordinary. Incredibly bright as a child she listened to the nobles speaking while her mother cleaned. Her first words were actually in the common tongue rather than Naerale tongue and she, much to everyone's surprise got a decent education and became a scribe, prior to becoming a scribe she served as a hand maiden to one of the ladies.
She is fluent in Naerale and the common tongue. Her family trace a long history with the Faw family which Ardeyn hails from (more details revealed ic) and she pleads for his release when she learns he is imprisoned.
She is rather weak/sickly compared to other Naerale who tend to be hardy due to their role as slaves and their natural resistance to illness however as child one of the nobles children grew jealous of how the teacher praised her and poisoned Talika. The poison wasnt sufficient to kill her but it has left her rather weak many years later, she is prone to breathlessness and feeling faint, she can't run long distances. Her strength lies in her brain of course, as a scribe she knows a lot more about the goings on in the court than many other Naerale however she is very distant from the resistance and thus cannot feed this information to anyone who would actually use it.

  2. I guess we switch to here, right? o/

Maybe we can combine it and say "Ride Strong, Reign Supreme" - the words of the ancient Warkings that could make use of a proper House name. How about... hm... Warborne? Lol, sort of goes with the whole idea behind them.

Anyway, those sound awesome. Now all we need are names and brief descriptions of each. I sort of wrote one for a House I'd like to mingle in there, MC being part of it.

    House Forthwind
    Spoiler
The Forthwinds trace their descent from the infamous Stone Giants of the North, mineworkers who withstood the heavy beating of the Wind Gods since time immemorial and dug deep beneath the crust into the belly of the Stone Beast, cracking the core into a labyrinth. If you want, I can write something up for the tiger and the ship, some others too if you haven't already.
Also, I might end up drawing a map after all.

  3. Yeah I think thats a perfect solution, Ride Strong, Reign Supreme!

I think we'll need to start making maps and graphics etc to keep track of things, especially the great houses/lineage and who ruled down the eras.

So we're starting with the Naerale people once reigned supreme, the Warkings had an uprising and quashed the Naerale people and for centuries they've been reduced to nomads living on the fringes of the world or servants to the warkings.

We should do up a quick timeline starting with the last Naerale King, include important kings (not every single one is necessary, just ones that had a notable reign), and end at the present day in our world.

I'll start pulling bits together for the info post now. I have two rudimentary chars put together, the scribe and the prisoner. post your CS whenver you're ready and any other bits and bobs you have :)

  4. So, I'm guessing the timeline could be something along these lines:

So we have the last Naerale King - Haimmon the Hungry, then the First Warking of the Allover Land - Cryster Warborne, and then we throw in a bunch of other significant effects that occurred during the course of history to date. Whatcha think?

Gonna draw something up real quick and see how we can go about the mapping. House Forthwind lies in the North, a rocky wasteland with mountains for skyscrapers. The current Lord would be my character's elder brother, Lord Bartelot and his Lady wife Arelia, sadly no children yet.

Working on the CS too, nitpicking that is. :3

  5. Perfect, thats absolutely perfect!!!! I changed my chars motto to suit the sigil of the wolverine more ^^"

Faw: Sigil, Wolverine, Words: "Never Yield", "Wounded, Never Conquered"

I'll try fill these in now!!! My CS's are nearly done Ill comment where when they're up!

  6. Posted my characters, working on some of the other houses now!

  7. Updated again, hope its making more sense now

  8. Everything looks awesome!

Here is my main character. I would also like to include Lady Arelia as a major character later on in the rp but we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

    Spoiler

Name: Lord Rowan of House Forthwind, younger brother to the Stone Lord in the North, Bartelot the Bold.
    Age: 23
    House Sigil: A grey giant caught in a spiraling hurricane on a sky blue background;
House Motto: Any wind is the right wind.

    Likes: gambling, tall tales, mead, meticulous craftsmen, rubies, daggers;
    Dislikes: tactless brutes, Lord Bartelot, failure, disorder, disobedience, filth;

    Strengths: eloquence, etiquette, persistence;
    Weaknesses: obstinacy, habitual intoxication, fondness of vicious women, insomnia;

Appearance: Always dressed in black leather, Rowan sports the appearance of a mystery man. Short, ink-black hair, piercing stone grey eyes, pale skin, well-groomed. Tall and slender as a knife, broad shoulders, a small upturned nose, and thin lips.

    Biography:

Lady Niada, daughter of Egon of House Braveberry, the Lord of Star Island and bannerman to House Poole, was the mother of many stillborn children after the miraculous birth of the Stone Giant Yacob’s heir, Bartelot. He was a strong, tall boy, much like his Lord Father, the blood of the ancient Stone Giants, and rightful heir to Windstorm, but to his Lady Mother, he was not enough. She wished to gift her beloved husband an abundance of children to keep the lineage of House Forthwind a firm allegiant to the crown and the land. Alas, her stubbornness had only filled the crypts, grim burial chambers cut deep within the belly of the Stone Beast, and gradually emptied her heart. It was not until her beauty wrinkled and sagged that she gave birth to another boy who grew up to be the spitting image of the first Stone Warking, son of Wilmont the Huge and Lady Jewele, daughter of Ancel the Kind of House Warborne. Ink-black hair and stone grey eyes describe one of the fiercest royal knight commanders to date, and Rowan was none less splendid, tall and slender as a knife than his ancestor - their skin the colour of white-hot metal and eyes the colour of grey stone.

When Rowan first began to talk and then walk, Bartelot had already come of age, trained in the ways of the sword. When Rowan, age 7, first uncovered the perilous allure of the crypts and the labyrinth within the stone mass of the Giant and the Beast, Bartelot took his first wife, Lady Tita of House Swann who failed to give him any children and died a most gruesome death 13 years into their marriage. She was mauled to death by a mountain bear when she accompanied her dear husband on a morning hunt in the wildwood that sprawled beneath the Stone Beast. In Rowan’s eyes she was an unfortunate victim of the severity of northern winds and his brother’s relentless foolishness. Bartelot was a tactless brute, taught to rule with a stern grip on his people, harsh as the Winters beyond the Beast as the old wet nurse used to say. He was only fit to rule with the sword while his scholars and learned men ruled with the mind, whispering advice and commands from behind his father’s throne. Rowan had never been fond of any of them except for the oldest and the wisest, Maester Baigh, who taught him many things – the ways of the olden Stone Giants, the beliefs of Isac the Wise, to ride strong like the ancient Warkings, to handle his wit better than his sword and to never settle for bread crumbs.

On his 12th name day, Rowan was sent to be fostered at the court by order of King Haimmon as a reassurance of the pledge of fealty. The young boy learned the ropes rather quickly and worked his way up to stand by the King and support his rule wholeheartedly. He was his steward, his personal royal advisor, a mediator for His Grace and the Hand of King. Rowan handled the affairs of the Council most efficiently albeit not a full-fledged member. He worked close with the Master of Coin, Andrion Gillford of House Gillford, acting as a mediator for his Lord brother Bartelot and the Master of Coin when it came to gemstone extraction and commerce after the death of their father, Lord Yacob. Rowan’s official position, however, was that within External Affairs. He oversaw the Yearly Overseas Trade with such diligence that none knew how exactly he was pulling it off.

The last time he exchanged words with his Lord brother was on the Lord Bartelot’s wedding day. The Stone Lord had decided to wed his late wife’s younger sister, Lady Arelia of House Swann, under heavy duress from his Maesters. The Lord and Lady of House Swann were more than happy to oblige, trading off their daughter in a mere blink of the eye. Lady Arelia was the complete opposite of her elder sister; a woman of fair beauty but ruthless wit, Rowan’s perfect match, taken to ruins by the hand of his brother’s impotence.

    Personality:

Rowan takes venomous pleasure in observing the monstrosities of the court. In its mysterious past and cryptic future, the court dabbles in the affairs of utmost importance – treachery and lechery. Rowan had learned that a man’s wit is best controlled by his loins, food, and drink. He maintains the image of a loyal master of trade, meticulous and daring in his work, yet quite far away in his thoughts, buried within the crypts of the Stone Beast. Many have failed to understand what drives him, boldly ascribing such things to blind loyalty he throws at his King’s feet. He gains trust easily and professes honour above power, while every other aspect of his character falls under the cryptic category. In all truth, he always sees the worst in others and has never been proved otherwise. He does not believe, however, that one should eradicate the bad seeds. Quite the contrary, for without them, life would be a dull game he would not be able to fully exploit and enjoy. He is, of course, not without vice. His nature takes a turn for, as some would say, better when he is intoxicated. He turns into a relentless flirt and a fierce gambler, and sometimes makes much more sane decisions.

Some of the Houses mentioned there:

House Braveberry, bannermen to House Poole
House Gillford could be the one with the coin as the blazon.

  9. Perfect perfect perfect
I'm on mobile so I'll make a thread but won't fill up the overview with the stuff from this thread till I'm on my computer

  10. Here is something on two more houses, I think it sounds acceptable.

House Gillford claims its descent from an ancient nomadic tribe that had wandered the Deadland for many moons before sudden, unbearable weather forced them to migrate north. They had thus uncovered the Allover Land, a lush wonderland, starkly different from their homeland. They settled the far reaches of the southeast where the landscape was torn between sand and flat grassland. At first, they had no contact whatsoever with the people of the Allover Land, particularly the Naerale, but they rose to prominence when the Warkings usurped the throne and claimed reign over the known lands. This ancient nomadic tribe, the Maralu people, uncovered large concentrations of gold beneath the deep layer of sand. The Gold today is used to forge armors for royal knights, commanders and any other Lord who can afford it. Their blazon is a gold coin on a blush red background. The Lord of House Gillford, Andrion Gillford, is the current Master of Coin, following in the footsteps of his ancestors. He is thought to be the most powerful man in the Land, for ‘he who has the gold makes the rules.’

House Brawani has no known origin. It is said that their ancestors had already settled the land centuries before the Naerale people appeared and claimed ownership. The tribe was scattered all over the land, hence the name, Allover Land. Some say that they were nothing but brutes and bandits, whereas others claim they were efficient hunter-gatherers. Alas, they were shunned and denied life on their land by the Naerale people, therefore, during the Wyvern Siege, they sided with the Warkings and earned themselves the Land closest to the Warborne Castle and the Wyvern Mountain, abundant in fertile soil and hunting grounds. Some of the fiercest warriors to date trace their descent to this House the blazon of which is that of a mighty tiger across a black background, roaring ‘Fearsome and Proud’.

    EDIT

I did not see that you had already written the first post, OMG. So sorry, lol. I will get right down to replying.

    • Like Like x 1
  11. Yaaaay I look forward to your reply :) I fixed up my post a bit i didn't notice the glaring type-os from my autocorrect being lame lol

  12. Auto-correct is the worst evil out there, lol. I opt not to use it at all, it's better for my nerves. x3

Sheesh, I had to write that twice... my laptop died on me in the middle of my intensely sucking the life out of the keyboard. Twas dreadful .-.

  13. D: omg thats so lame!!! Are you still on now (your on invisible mode so I dunno lol)

I got a reply up, hope its okay I made up a few names and shit, I cant remmeber if we came with a first name of the King but I can edit if we did.

  14. Yah, I'm lurkin'. Dunno what happened. My lappy spasms from time to time... he's such a sadist. o/

Yup, we did. His name's Haimmon the Hungry, a fat, greedy pig that's gonna kick the bucket pretty soon, lol. Do you wanna discuss our killing him off and perpetrating high treason on behalf of a Council member, or do we go with the flow and the element of surprise? I was thinking that's how we could begin our little adventure. The King's wife and son are held prisoner, and we are suddenly being hunted.

Also, I'mma reply first thing in the morning. I haven't slept all night and it's really getting at me. ~.~

  15. Oh yeah gosh i knew we sorted out names somewhere lol my bad, ill fix it up lol

I was thinking that in the small council they bring up the idea of questioning the prisoners, but they need a translator, so they select Talika since she speaks both languages. They stage a show trial, or have a secret questioning session, whichever you feel suits, and Rowan meets with Ardeyn, Talika translates between the two. The small council also discuss getting rid of the king, of course suggesting using Ardeyn to do their bidding, but Talika would warn them that he's unlikely to let them use him as a pawn, we makeit up as we go along, maybe he can be convinced to do it or maybe Rowan has to do it himself but Talika and Ardeyn are implicated in the process and all three have to flee

Ah that sucks about laptop being sassy and being tireddddd I wish sleep didn't exist so I could rp all the time (and yknow ... housework and work shit too ... would be great if that wasn't an issue xD)

  16. Sounds great! Though, Rowan would not betray the King so openly, especially not in front of the Master of Coin and the Hand of the King. It would be far more intriguing that let's say one of the two afore mentioned conspire with other Houses to kill the King and usurp the throne without our characters' awareness. So, along the way, while running for our lives, we find out who's behind it all and then conspire to take the throne for ourselves, lol. But, I am so on board with the whole staging a trial and Talika interpretting the whole thing. >3
(Rowan doesn't really give a shit about the King, but he values his bloodline, especially if given the chance to be King too, lol)

True that, heh. But sleep is precious, my favourite past-time... housework not so much... though I can't really stand filth and disorder so I am compelled to clean every day. Gotta make everything sparkly .3.

    I'mma crash now, sweet dreams!

  17. Night Galzra!!!

I love the idea of a trial because no one will understand the hostilities between Ardeyn and Talika (he won't like her for being a coward and a traitor), so they will be talking in their tongue and no one will understand and she will /possibly/ lie for him and save his life.

I love the idea of the small council going behind Rowan's back, perhaps Talika could plead to Rowan to release Ardeyn since he's the only prisoner left alive since the others are dying in their cells and /thats/ how they all go on the run, because they get caught. While they are on the run they learn the truth and gradually learn to live with each other because

    1. Rowan has been raised in a society that hates Naerale people so ... hes hardly going to be overly trusting of Talika and Ardeyn even though he does seem to know Talika is trustworthy.

    2. Language barrier will be trouble.

    3. Ardeyn dislikes Talika for not supporting the rebels the way he thinks she should have (by lying for him, she saved his life but of course hes not entirely aware until he begins to learn the common tongue)

    4. Ardeyn really wont like ROwan at first because of his position (well former position by the time they are on the run)

  18. Alright, sounds great. Although, Rowan would only release Ardeyn to save his own life, which he is going to do when he is declared a traitor. I doubt that Talika's pleads would do any good, although I encourage you to give it a try. Rowan simply doesn't care about the prisoners. He is more concerned with his own welfare and that of the Realm, and his King, no matter how much he despises him. I would make Lord Adrion accuse Rowan, and thereafter, Talika and Ardeyn of murdering the King to justify his own ascending to the Throne instead of the rightful heir so as to 'protect the people and the land', cause he is a sneaky bastard.

Also, Rowan is not the kind of person who'd trust anyone easily xD Sure he might work with Talika and Ardeyn but only to aid himself at first. He would only grow to respect them and like them later as we advance in the story. But, he would definitely stand by Talika's side in her feud with Ardeyn over her not supporting the rebellion. :)

  19. Yeah I don't see anyone taking Ardeyns stance with his feud with Talika, she's a sickly figure, it's not as if she'd be any assistance to the rebels in a fight so Ardeyns anger is a little unjust. Still in his view she didn't have to join the rebellion but she shouldn't choose to serve the royals but it's not as if she had a choice anyway, his upbringing is vastly different to hers though and there is much he doesn't understand. I'm sure over time all three will eventually even out their differences and become not only allies but possibly friends.

Gonna reply now!!! Who will be the judge/inquisitioner at the "trial" Talika will be interpreting?

I'll go get my laptop lol on my phone now xD
