After eating their breakfast at the campsite before setting off with the new addition to their group of huntsmen, it hadn't taken long for the group to eventually reach Wakikata after traversing up the trail into the mountains and soon enough arriving at their destination; Wakikata. By the time the group had arrived the sun was already setting, though rather than head straight for a place to go and rest for the evening, Axel informed the rest of the group to go around and enjoy themselves and that it was best that they just met back up here in about two days for their next destination.

Once the group had dispersed, Axel spent a large portion of the rest of the evening as well as the next morning gathering all manner of ingredients from shops that were open with what money he had acquired over the amount of time it took them to get this far. In the end, with enough bargaining here and there as well as helping out to deal with some thugs; he ended up with quite the large sack of ingredients that consisted of both meat, vegetables and all manner of herbs and spices.

Finally, two days had passed and it was time to press forward once again to the next goal. Haven academy.

Waiting at the eastern exit of the city for the rest of those who remembered about the rendezvous point and time, once everyone was together Axel had pushed forward towards where the academy once resided. The travel there was another half a day or so and luckily since he had planned to leave the city early they were able to reach the academy with plenty of light to spare still in the day.
What Axel came to find as just what was to be expected, especially with Mistral's history with Atlas before the outbreak of Grimm; there were Atlas drones scouting the area along with robotic and humanoid troops patrolling the exterior and interior of what remained of the academy. Cursing under his breath at how Haven was much more securely guarded compared to that of Shade academy, Axel simply sat onto a large chunk of debris while his gaze scowered the area as to where he could find a weak point in the patrolling pattern for him or any member of the group to infiltrate the academy.

"Any ideas you guys? I don't think just charging in is going to go too well for us. Not only are we outnumbered, they have a lot more big guns this time compared to Shade academy..." Speaking up in a low whisper, he'd clench his bandaged hand into a fist at just how close they were yet a threat like Atlas just had to be in the way.

There are those rare days when things just seem to go your way. No matter what insurmountable odds may be against you, the dice just seem to roll right. No matter what.

And that's the opposite of how her journey had been.

She had lost a few days getting lost… which was more humiliating than inconvenient really. Her destination had been, this whole time, Haven Academy. She had to see fir herself. But it was perhaps more than just that. She isn't sure how exactly she had taken the wrong path… but she had ended up BACK in Wakikata. Again, kind of humiliating. So she spent an hour BACK there, and then she was off once again. This time with more supplies, for the better. Snacks, especially.

And now once more she had found the right track. She had spat upon the curve in the roads where she went wrong, just out of spite. But as she made her own little journey, she could not help but notice that perhaps she wasn't the only one following this particular path. She would see subtle signs of someone else passing before her, perhaps only by a few hours. No, not a someone. A few someones. Just little signs that perhaps most wouldn't even notice. But she did. Being on the wrong end of a bounty makes you learn skills such as those.

She knew she would be nearing Haven Academy… or what was left of Haven Academy. She had also known there was a guard detail assigned there. But knowing how the military works, she would be willing to bet it was an all autonomous force. Perhaps with a controller or two. They wouldn't waste resources on a thing like this. Not yet.

Closer to Haven she got… and now those she was following was within view. Well not view, so much.

She knew she was trailing behind a small group… headed towards the ruins that are Haven Academy. And so she kept her eyes open. So to speak. She is still a good bit away from the group as they stop, standing among some trees. She keeps herself hidden, and her eyes then narrow. Her pupils glow a soft pink, and she is able to 'see' every member of the group ahead of her. Despite the fact it looks like she's staring at a tree. Their softly glowing outlines make it evident they are now coming up with a plan. Or something. So perhaps this is what she has been waiting for… for he dice to fall her way.

A few moments pass, and there is a soft voice from behind the group.

"I can get you in there." She says as she saunters towards the group, but keeping her distance. She motions towards Haven "It's pretty heavily guarded. More'n you see here. But yeah, I can get you all in without being detected." She stops about 20 feet away, keeping her hand from the hilt of the sword hanging at her hip. "For a price, of course. Let me tag along with your group. We can all be outlaws together." She smiles to them all innocently enough, her hands wrapped about the straps of her backpack. Her form is concealed for the most part under a dark green cloak, the sword at her hip partially exposed.

    Demitasse Datura
    Haven Academy Ruins Outskirts

A whistled tune rang out through the surrounding forests of Haven Academy's ruins, a few birds flocked away from nearby trees as the simple melody echoed throughout the air. The whistling abruptly stopped as it was replaced by the whirring noises of an Atlas scouting drone, alerted by the noise it scurried towards the source of the sound before hitting what is seemingly an invisible wall and gyrating out of control in the air. Before the device could stabilize itself, two small holes appeared almost out of thin air upon it, destroying the camera and communications systems simultaneously. With the most important components taken care of, the power source, stabilizers, and propellers gave out one by one in the same fashion, with sudden unseeable attacks, until the flying device dropped to the ground with a metallic clank. More few surveillance devices passed by, but all met with the same fate. The whistling resumed.
Demitasse pushed his pesky tri-coloured bangs out of his eyes, with tired eyes and a yawn he looked at the small pile of scrap metal that has built up on the clearing. "Alas...really?" He muttered as he picked up a few broken pieces, the scraps glowed a bit in a light beige colour as its holder activated his semblance on it. "...thought those idiots would spare something nice for Mistral...hmph." Picking out a few pieces of GPS hardware and putting them away, the young man yawned again and fiddled slightly with the pocket he carried behind his back. A light click sound can be heard, then noises of string reeling in as Demitasse recalled all the thin wires he had set around the premise, along with the handful of tiny blades that were guided into the scouting drones.
Closing in closer to the ruins, Demitasse made his way in quite a leisurely fashion, his pace was slow, but it was for a reason as any treescapes he passed by became riddled with tripwires. This wasn't his first rodeo around Haven, and he had devised a good system for getting in already. Handful of scouting GPSs to trigger as a distraction, then waltz in fair and square, it's not his fault that technology is stupid. Demitasse began to whistle again as he tossed the deactivated GPS alerts up and down, continuing forwards until he came up to a close-by clearing. That had people in it.
Demitasse could feel his eye twitch slightly.
He felt slightly annoyed at the sudden intrusion on his "personal" space, no one ever came here before, so it was a difficult adjustment to make. But he stayed and looked on. There was a group of several, and a young woman slightly further away, even without listening in on the conversation, it was pretty obvious they have something they want in Haven. Demitasse decided that they likely won't attack him, since the Altesian military is still prancing around, so he simply resumed whistling and walking across the clearing, as naturally as one would pass some else on a busy street or park, but not before leaving several tripwires around.
"G'afternoon." He waved slightly at the group as he passed, while quickly folding up his Faunus wings and tightening his caplet.

    Acroma Leicester
    Atlas Surrounding Airspace
Acroma's fluttered open as the bright light reflected by the icy ocean below the airship was distracting. It has been three days since he left Wakikata, hitching a ride over to Atlas with a combination of bribes and using his family's reputation. Every pace from Vacuo to Mistral filled his heart with more excitement as he was finally getting closer to Atlas, to get back to his home and settle things.

The sound of people moving around the airship was a bit mesmerizing. "Oh right, I wonder how they are doing..." Acroma thought about the others who he had traveled with, and how it was largely thanks to such a rag tagged group that he had made it this far. He had left a note in Blanche's caravan explaining how he decided to attempt to return to Atlas alone, but if they were targeting academies, perhaps they would one day arrive at Atlas as well. "...well, if we meet again."

Doran returned from his short walk, still eyeing the large newcomer. His eyes briefly turned to Sairen, and then Lairen, before sighing and moving along with Axel.

"Well, short of very poor convenience, we should at least be free of headaches before getting to town," Doran stated softly.

His trademark attitude had taken a bit of a backseat since the prior events. He was still witty, still a smartass and still as much of a headache for Lairen as before, but there was a certain nonchalance that was now gone. Upon reaching the city and agreeing to split, Doran spent most of his time gathering information about Haven and the surrounding area, which might have involved a bar fight in one of the inns. But of course, they started it. At one point he checked on Sairen but-Lairen was Lairen and Sairen was now a mute. He was pissed off, but the events at Shade had a completely different effect on her it seemed.

Either way, they soon enough met back up and headed for Shade. Doran whistled a bit, seeing how heavily fortified the place was.

"And here I was hoping the guys at the bar were just drunk... No, not drunk enough. Atlesians sure are a bunch of busybodies, aren't they?" Doran questioned to no one in particular before turning around at the sight of a voice.

It was a woman. A woman who suddenly was there, approaching them from behind, who conveniently had a way inside, and also wanted to go inside. Doran tilted his head with a skeptical expression before chuckling and stepping forward a bit, standing between her and the group. His stance or demeanor wasn't aggressive, his hands weren't gripping his weapons or anything though they were placed at his hips, in fair range to grasp if the need arose.

"That's awfully kind of you stranger... conveniently kind. You make a habit of sneaking passed fortifications?" Doran inquired, seemingly a bit skeptical of her, but remaining rather civil with a small smirk.

However, before he could "converse", or politely question the young woman, they received another visitor, one who simply passed them by with a simple greeting. Doran eyed the man as he walked. Was this typical for Mistral? Man, it was weird.

"...And there's another... I didn't realize we all planned our parties at Haven on the same day; how embarrassing," Doran remarked, turning his attention back to the woman, but facing his body toward the Faunus for the most part. "So, would you like to tell us how you can get us in, little lady? If we're paying you by taking you with us, then there has to be a reason you're not just waltzing in yourself."

Ilona Cardinal

Time:

Mid-day

Location:
Haven Academy Ruins (Mistral)

Mentions/Interactions:
Having followed the woman from the dinner partly through the city, the Sister took interest in a group that was buying up supplies and seemingly traveling together, most of them seemed to be hunts men or the equivalent judging by armament and traveling packs. If not for the traveling arrangements they seemed to be going through a great deal of trouble in hiding, she would have been more than happy to let them go.. In full at least, this bared worth in watching by Ilona's standards.

Being a Knight of the Militant Order, Ilona was not as blassy or stupid to attempt using the same means of travel they were, at least not in full. With the understanding the Order of Saint Tera has reached soldiers of Atlas, she would 'request' a ride aboard an Atlesian transport. And with a bit of haggling and stating the reason of why in some partial terms, the wheels of connections would turn, with the Lord Commander saying he would consider it a personal favor if they cooperated with his most trusted Knight, the sister was simply there to perform a ritual and investigate the region for traces of Grimm Armies that bared the necessary wrath of the Order Militant. While the former was of little interest to the Atlesian Garrison commander, a Crusade possibly being sent to the region was indeed a task most Holy.

So Ilona had a limited run of the place. On her way out she had seen sight of the first target to arouse her suspicions, and then swearing she seen a passing glimps of those she followed who were heading here she was even more convinced of her mission.

The Academies were considered scared ground in part given the death of huntsmen in these very halls, even if they were an irritant for the Followers of Saint Tera, in part because of legends that held scared relics of the faith were kept on these very grounds, though searches had yet to turn up much aside from a few weapons with the Symbol of the Church engraved upon them.

This however did not mean there were not such relics, even now hidden rooms or ruined paths would turn up. She would await them in the inner halls, she would have her answers to see if they were on a mission worthy of the Church's aid.. Or if they were little more than thieves and plunderers of Tombs.

A hidden and mostly secret tenant of the Gralsritter was the Elimination of Heretics after all... And if they proved too much of an Issue the Soldiers could be called, for now they did not need to know why else the Sister was here as she prepares a rosary and candles to offer up prayers.

Answers came to those who seek. With the rosary in one hand and the other making the sign of Tera, the woman starts a prayer, with her escort wandering off elsewhere...

"In the name of Saint Tera and the Brothers most Holy, you poor unfortunate souls who gave your lives in struggle against the bane of Man, I Sister Ilona Cardinal.."

After arriving at Wakikata, the group collectively decided to split up either to simply sight-see or take care of their own business. This worked to Ael's advantage as he immediately scoured the local watering holes and shops for any information that could confirm Windia's presence in Wakikata, if not her current whereabouts. However, none of them managed to cough up any relevant information for Ael to follow. With the huge Atlesian military presence in Mistral compared to Vacuo, one wouldn't be surprised that trouble comes a lot less often here than in Zramore.

As he was checking for information at one of the local dust shops, he did find a particularly intriguing piece of information. An outsider cloaked in dark robes and garments was seen on the outskirts of town and had recently bought some dust there. Ael figured that thenext place he should search for clues was Haven Academy itself. Thus, after restocking on some essential supplies and equipment, he rendezvoused with the rest of the group.

Unfortunately for the group, infiltrating the abandoned halls of Haven was going to be much more of a challenge compared to Shade due to the heavier Atlesian Military presence. Aside from humanoid and robotic troops patrolling the premises, flying drones were also dispatched along the perimeter of the academy.

For a second, Ael thought of using himself as bait to distract the Atlesian forces scattered around the academy but a mysterious girl suddenly revealed herself before the group claiming to know of a way to enter the compound without being detected by the troops. And another person appeared, whistling while walking like he practically owned the place as he passed by the group and into the clearing. It was as if he didn't consider the Atlesian troops nor the group of heavily armed Huntsmen and Huntresses as a threat. He was polite enough to say a greeting before leaving, however.

Ael was suspicious of the newcomer, and Doran makes a fair point on her trustworthiness, or lack thereof. Certainly, why would she want the group's help in getting in if she knows of a way to enter the academy ruins undetected in the first place.

"Hey, I think we should give her the benefit of the doubt at the very least. It seems none of us have any alternatives in mind anyways. As soon as she answers your question of course." Ael wasn't one for blindly trusting others either but he also wasn't going to drive away the only person at the moment who has ideas to get them inside. As a gesture of trust, Ael approached the mysterious girl and offered her a handshake. With a smile on his face, he introduced himself to the purple haired lady. "My name's Aelius Cedomir. Ael for short. " Regardless whether she returned the handshake or not, he continued. "And before anything else, we are kind of curious why you want to tag along with us if you have a way to get inside. I don't think you'd be the type to share this sort of info on people you just met."

After everything the group had done to get here only to be stopped by something like the Atlesian military to get in the way of yet another bit of information to help them continue on their path forward; Axel continued to ponder on the thought of what could be done to get into the academy without practically sounding an alarm and having the entire forces of the Atlesian military on their tail. Being as lost as he was in though, he was completely unaware of the fact that someone had snuck behind them before speaking up so suddenly about being able to get the group inside.

Gasping in shock that he was caught off guard, he quickly turned his attention behind him only to be greeted by a female stranger who was so quick to offer her assistance on getting the group into the academy without getting detected and only asking in return that they had taken her with them on their journey of sorts.

Before he could so much as respond with his own thought on the matter, yet another newcomer had made themselves known right after; this time it being a male and only greeting the group before waddling right off towards the ruins of the academy as though he practically owned the place. "W-wait...are we j-just going to...uhh..let him go..? H-hey!" As he called out to the male who walked off as though he showed no care whatsoever about the military or even the group that clearly showed signs of them preparing to enter the ruins as well; his attention was soon brought back to the woman before them with a raised brow.

Aside from a couple of questions; Ael and Doran seemed rather fine with the woman before them simply helping out the group on entering the academy, however Axel on the other hand was a bit of cautious. "What do you gain out of helping us, stranger? You literally just popped out of nowhere and you're just going to offer us a chance to enter the ruins of Haven academy and all you want in return is for you to join us? Clearly there is something more to this.." While Axel was in no position to be making decisions for the entire group whether or not someone joined them in traveling, this was the second person in a few days so far that wanted to join them with the simplest of reasons so far.

The group soon reached Wakikata where they then decided to split off on their own for a couple days before regrouping in a couple days. Doran also went off on his own and Sairen noticed, her head slowly turning to look into his direction before turning back to her brother. He was standing seemingly lost in thought, thinking about everything they may need for the coming journey and battles. It was then that he noticed his sister's gaze on him as if waiting for him to do something. He let out a small smile before grabbing her hand in his, his large hands enveloping hers. He lead the way around the town in search of something that might help her awaken from her dissociated state. He scanned the streets before deciding on a small sweets store, something his sister would usually jump at and beg for. They entered the store and immediately the sweet stench of candy hit his nose. He disliked sweets to the point of puking if something was too sweet, but anything for his sister. This was the first time Sairen moved on her own accord outside of battle as she took small steps through the rows of candies. Her eyes fell upon an assortment of colorful lollipops and taffies. Her eyes remained lifeless, but Lairen could tell by her intense stare that she wanted it. He promptly bought a bag filled with him before handing a taffy to her, to which she chewed as they continued shopping.

The next few days the two spent shopping for various necessities. At one point, Doran came to check up on them. Lairen, of course, glared at Doran for the length of his visit, but Sairen wasn't bothered at all. Soon, they met up with the others once again before starting back on their travels.

The trek to the academy was short compared to all the walking they had done previously, about half a days walk. Sairen silently chewed on whatever taffy she had left, leaving only lollipops in the bag. They were her favorite, so she subconsciously saved them for last. They remained silent as Axel lead the discussion on how to get in. Before anyone else in the group could answer, a stranger approached the group. Lairen took immediate note of the weapon on her hip and instinctively put an arm out to put Sairen behind him. His other arm went to the hilt of his sword as he watched the stranger closely. Doran stepped forward first, speaking to the woman before another stranger waltzed right by the group with a simple greeting. The group just seemed to attract more and more people that he had to be wary of. Surely if his sister wasn't in this state, she'd be overjoyed at the company of someone other than her brother.

Lairen watched while maintaining his defensive stance. In the brief silence after Axel's input on the conversation, a loud noise came from behind Lairen. The sound of... a plastic bag crumpling. He looked behind him to find Sairen, struggling to open the bag containing her precious sweets. She had tied it too tight and was unable to open it. Her face remained blank as her hands fiddled with the knot. He let out a sigh, his body becoming more relaxed as he turned to help her with the bag. As soon as it opened, she unwrapped and popped a bright red lollipop in her mouth, the silence returning once again.

Demitasse Datura
Haven Academy Ruins
Interactions: All

The leaves swayed as a light breeze calmed Demitasse's frustration as he decided to move on from the strangers in the clearing, he assumed that they were just some travelers looking to take a bite out of whatever those academies had left on their hallowed carcasses. Not much unlike himself, but clearly much more unfamiliar with the location. He could feel some piercing gazes behind his back, intuition, and perhaps also common sense is telling him that these people were wary of him. Being the target of an all-out attack from some strange traveling band was definitely not on Demitasse's schedule, though he counted the number of Atlas drone parts in his pocket and the length of wire he had set out. Mistral was his home field, it won't be a stretch to make it out of such an attack anyways.

Before the Faunus fully left the vicinity, he could hear the voice of a young man a distance behind him. "W-wait...are we j-just going to...uhh..let him go..? H-hey!"

Demitasse's calmed annoyance flared up again, he rubbed his temples before stopping in his tracks. "...Let me go? What gives you the confidence that you're the one who decides that?" The sudden appearance of these strangers had already thrown a wrench into his routines, now they have the audacity to believe they can so it further. Turning around towards the general vicinity of the voice he continued, with a voice more saturated with frustration as the sentence went on. " How about you worry about yourselves first? Atlas may be full of bumbling bureaucrats, but they aren't below some clueless maggots." Black scleraed eyes narrowed as Demitasse looked on at the group, suddenly taken aback a bit before raising his hand to massage his temples again.

"......That was a bit too unaccounted for, wasn't it?" Demitasse blinked a bit as he talked to himself, realizing he apparently lost control of himself momentarily. He felt somewhat disgusted by the rash way he had just acted, but justified. "...Perhaps I went a bit overboard there." The blood that rushed up to his brain receded a bit as the Faunus regained his thinking capabilities, "No one ever comes here, it was a bit startling for me. My apologies for the outburst."

Doran looked to Ael as the man stepped forward, watching him with a quizzical look as if he had just spoken gibberish. Benefit of the doubt. Doran maintained between the blonde hair, blue eyes and fancy wardrobe the guy gave off an Atlesian vibe. His optimism, or perhaps naivety only reinforced that. The mercenary let out a light sigh followed by a shrug.

"If you have all your lien by the time we leave..." Doran trailed off, stepping back to let Ael and Axel deal with the new woman for now.

Then, the other weirdo spoke up, rather aggravated to Axel's wariness. Doran side-eyed the Faunus, opening his mouth to retort before the crumpling sound of a bag stole his train of thought. He glanced over to the siblings. Watching as Sairen struggled with a small bag of candy and Lairen turned to help her, eventually succeeding so that the girl could procure one of the lollipops inside. Doran recalled that Lairen said that his sister could still fight, though he had to admit he had his doubts. And if she wasn't at her top, then Lairen would have to be more of a worrywart than they already were. Getting into a fight probably wasn't the best plan of action.

"Look horny, we're as jumpy as you are... cause frankly none of us has any business being here... Officially, anyway," Doran replied, holding out a hand in a motion of pause. "Two strangers randomly pop up in a place where probably no one should be. Where I'm from, worrying about you is worrying about us. Strangers don't have the best track record and coincidence is a fool's excuse."

Doran would also skip passed the part where they outnumbered them all and, even if numbers weren't a factor, dealing with people was exactly what he specialized in. If the irritable Faunus grew pissy over a little surprise and confusion on Axel's part, anything that came across as a challenge was likely to do so to a greater degree.

"We can stay out of your way, and you can stay out of ours. Good? Great." Doran gave a lethargic thumbs up and backed away from both strangers, opting to approach the siblings in a somewhat hushed voice. Things were already getting a bit too crowded with too many unknowns and too many variables. "So... are you sure you two are gonna be good? Don't get me wrong Lairen, you're a beacon of sunny disposition as always... but Sairen you haven't really said anything in... a while."

It was one thing if she just went mute, but if morale took a hit that would undoubtedly have an affect on her performance, one that would just make things harder.

Upon arrival to Wakikata, Blanche wasn't sure if everything was going for the better or for the worst. They'd met a couple of women during their stay here. A girl named Bhadra, another who appeared to be a nun, and a small childlike girl that kept following them like a lost dog. Despite any resistance, the small girl refused to leave and made her argument that she was great at hunting, and would help them free of charge if they let her tag along. She didn't necessarily care about money, and being able to get her thrills from taking down Grimm was payment enough.

With what they were going to do, Blanche didn't seem to mind the new companion too much. What was beginning to worry her was that if they kept accepting more and more people in their little group, her caravan might not have enough space to carry all of them. The girl, whose name was Azul, assured her that she'd be just as happy being tied to the roof if it meant being able to travel with them.

And, well, Blanche did have some bungee cords...

Hopefully there won't be an accident if it came to that...

But now, there was another newcomer, a faunus who was prone to outbursts it seemed... It was pretty obvious the kind of background he held judging by the way he walked and presented himself... Ugh, did she have room in the caravan for this?

"Looks like we might have to tie Azul to the roof..." Blanche commented quietly to herself, watching this all go down.

Since arriving, Doran and Lairen weren't the only people worrying about Sairen. The girl was strangely quiet, and while Violetta could understand the potential reason for it, she wanted to try and do something to lift the girl's spirits. She wasn't used to companions, especially not this many, but if she knew one thing, she knew that it only took one rainy cloud to start up a storm. Was there anyway to boost morale? Any--

C-Candy...? Was that... candy?

When was the last time Violetta had a lollipop? She wasn't sure. Ugh, and she didn't have the money to buy one off of Sairen! Nooooo!

Well, whatever. She could live without a delicious, wonderful, sugary, succulent lollipop...

She went through years without one, she could keep going.

She looked at the siblings with bit of worry. "Does Sairen need a hug? Or some time to herself or to talk to someone? I'm worried about her too." She told the older brother.

He didn't expect to be allowed to tag along for the ride, if he were being honest.

It was easy to appear nonthreatening because he was small and looked "innocent," but this group must have been after something big if they took him without too much questioning. Azul was certain that the handsome mercenary was keeping a sharp eye on him, which he didn't blame him for, and honestly didn't mind. If someone so pretty was going to keep paying attention to him, then Azul would be happy to fake suspicious activities to make Doran pay more attention to him~ Maybe Doran will hit him, insult him, and leave him to die on the curbside~ Ooooh he shivered just at the thought of it!

However, getting to the Haven Academy Ruins resulted in more encounters, two women, and a man who he was actually very familiar of. Demitasse~ the handsome Daddy of Azul's old gang before they became careless. Heheheh~ Oh yes, Azul was a lowly, clueless maggot! A pitiful, disgusting, little maggot that needed to die~ The little loss of composure and the insults had Azul trying to bite back a smile and blush.

Azul peeked from behind Blanche and gazed at the bat Faunus in "wonder". Did Demitasse remember him as the boy locked in the basement's cage? Or as the boy in training to become their ultimate assassin? If he did, Azul wouldn't say a word about it. Unless, of course, Demitasse was going to say it first.

The conversation continued on with the sudden outburst from a horned male alarmed Lairen. He whipped his head to look in that direction to see that Doran was already "taking care" of the situation. All the while he kept Sairen partially behind him. He definitely didn't want that guy joining the group, but he could only hope. If he was as prone to outbursts, he would have to be on constant alert.

Doran then turned to the siblings and shared some words of concern for Sairen followed by Violetta who shared the same thoughts. He could understand why they'd be worried. Sairen was just so visibly... different than before. His brows furrowed as he gave his sister a concerned look before looking back to the two. "We're fine. I have a feeling that finding more about Project Grimm and that guy will help Sairen get better."

The white haired female looked up as her name was called, her dead yellow eyes staring at her brother before turning to rest on Doran. She tilted her head to the side slightly before popping the lollipop out of her mouth, the residue leaving her lips a soft red. She held her hand out, pointing the lollipop towards Doran as if offering it to him as he spoke to her. The sight made Lairen a bit relieved. It showed that even if she couldn't feel, she was still there. She wasn't completely gone.

"She... She can't feel anything right now. Pain, emotion, everything. It'll just take time," he said, glancing at Violetta with a soft gaze. "Thanks for worrying about her. Once she's back to normal, I'm sure she'd love to be friends with you," he spoke warmly, his voice soothing. He had grown rather fond of her as they traveled together. She seemed to be genuinely kind and constantly radiating positive energy, and he liked that.

Hearing Blanche speak to no one in particular, Doran glanced back. At first, he looked at her, and then the other one. They had picked up a weirdo against the mercenary's suggestion. As time went on he continued to feel that the party was mostly naive. Sure, he wasn't going to say that he wasn't paranoid at times, but that Azul gave off red flags left and right. Doran might consider just stabbing the thing and leaving its corpse behind-But somehow, Doran got the feeling that Azul wanted that, which deterred him in and of itself.

Doran turned back to the twins, not wanting to deal with that when avoidable. Lairen told them that Sairen might get better if they find out more. That was convenient. So do the thing they still had no real idea how to do. Sure they were travelling to the academies, but the vagabond was skeptical that they held any info. Just because that freaked showed up at one didn't mean the others were leads. Besides, from how he spoke, Doran was fairly sure half the purpose of that spectacle at Vacuo was to fuck with them all.

"She can't feel?" Doran repeated with a raised brow. He wasn't quite sure how what happened led to Sairen ceasing any emotional or physical feeling, but it wasn't like there was a reason for an act. "Is that optimism or has this happened before?"

He looked at her again, and she produced the red sucker from her mouth and presented it to him. Doran glanced down at it, then over to Lairen and Violetta, though the main focus of sight was the googly eyes sent from the prior to the latter. The bounty hunter let out a bemused huff at that.

"Well... Let's hope this little road trip was worth it then," Doran hummed, taking the lollipop from Sairen and popping the small candy orb in his mouth. He then gained a sly smirk and followed up with slinging one arm around Sairen's shoulders. "Should we give you the room? We could give you a minute and go look for openings..."

Wondering still just how the group was supposed to get into the academy without alerting practically the entire Atlas fleet that was stationed around the area; after Axel had commented in question about the strange male that passed by who greeted himself for a mere moment before wandering straight towards the academy without a care in the world, it was rather unexpected to see as to how the male was quick to stop in his tracks just to turn right around and speak directly towards Axel as though he were offended. Arching a brow at the sight of how the stranger reacted to Axel's comment, the male spoke of the obvious truth about how Atlas had been more than just bureaucrats as well as them worrying about themselves rather than about his own safety.

Even before he could so much as speak a reply to the comments that was spoken out, the stranger was quick to apologize for his outburst and that no one had usually ever come here. Shaking his head as Axel prepared to respond in turn, Doran was the next to speak up and the term 'horny' had caused the male's ears from underneath his usual beanie to twitch before he was quick to approach Doran from behind; placing a hand onto his left hand onto his shoulder before stepping forward.

"Ah-- Apologies for my friend here. We've been meeting some...random faces on our way here and while everyone has been rather kind so far, the sudden additions and what we've been through has gotten some of us on edge." While attempting to apologize for Doran's use of words; being a faunus himself, the term 'horny' for a faunus just because they had horns was never a great way to start any sort of conversation.

"Strange though, you speak like you've been here multiple times before...if so, does that mean you have some sort of way to enter the ruins without being detected? I-..We would be grateful if you could assist us on getting inside...there is something of great importance to us in there that we must find...At least, we hope to find it there.." Questioning the male before them, even if this could lead into a possible trap or even the possibility of finding nothing that the group was in search for in the ruins, Axel was hoping to take the chance anyway.

There was something buzzing inside of Demitasse's mind, as self-assured as he is, the Faunus can tell that something has been wrong with his head. It was unlike him to abandon his Atlesian high-class mannerisms in such a callous fashion, so suddenly as well. In the end, he chalked it up to those strange dark horns which sprouted from his head after an untimely period of imprisonment and proceeded to focus on the matters at hand.

The first stranger to respond dripped with sarcasm, better than straight-up hostile, Demitasse supposed, he can't complain about being treated with hostility after such an outburst. Horny? Really? Regathering his composure, he barked a response in a similarily half-hearted tone to the stranger, "...is that how you address your companions as well?", he shrugged as he glanced over at the two white-haired young women in the group. Despite not being a real horned Faunus, anyone with two brain cells can see how the term is usually used as an insult. Demitasse wanted to continue on, but another one of the group stepped up and attempted to defuse the situation with a third party apology. Raising his eyebrows a bit at the newcomer to the conversation as he inquired about the ruins. Now that's more like it, isn't it?

The frustration that bounced within his skull dissipated a bit as Demitasse's impression of the group turned up slightly. "Been here? I come here every other week," he responded to the male's question as he adjusted the sleeves of his coat a bit, showing the strangers that he had no clear weapon like objects on his person. He didn't know whether or not helping these strangers would bring him any good, or any fun until the male spoke of something of "great importance". It peaked Demitasse's interests, enough for him to engage at least. "My semblance allows me to play with these pieces of scarp metal quite easily." Pulling out the handful of alert components he had just pulled from Atlas scouting drones, he continued, "These things are alert triggers, I can divert most of this stuff to anywhere I want." He smiled slyly, leaving out the method he uses to trigger electrical components at great distances. "Of course I can help you...but like any local here, it's for a price." A long pause can be felt as Demitasse considered what he would like in return, before finally deciding.

"I want to know about that thing you're after, let me in on it and my methods are at your service." The statement was in a light-hearted tone, but Demitasse was quite serious. "What do you think?"
