The siblings followed Doran as he led the group outside only to see a hooded figure before them. Lairen glared at the figure who began to speak, instinctively reaching his arm out in front of Sairen protectively. He couldn't put it into words but something about this man was dangerous. Every fiber of his being was standing on end as the man revealed his face. Sairen gripped her brothers coat as she peeked out from behind him. She could feel it too; the fear and pure pressure the man gave off making it difficult to breathe. Her unoccupied hand gripped her fans tightly, readying herself for whatever was coming.

The three Grimm who came out from behind the man charged at the general group, but only seemed to attack certain people. The charge was enough for Lairen to draw his sheathed swords. Sairen followed with one fan spread out and the other closed with the blade out. The man spoke again, this time a floating Grimm orb appearing beside him. Upon hearing his question, the siblings furrowed their brows together as if thinking about where they had seen him before. Where and when ever that was, it was the reason they felt so much fear from him.

Their eyes merely glanced at the Grimm orb as it turned into a deep purple but it was enough to send them into a sudden hallucination. They were both taken back to the laboratory they had tried so hard to forget. They both shook their heads to look around the pure white room, searching for each other only to see nothing but people in white coats. Lairen flexed underneath the straps restraining him, but it was no use. His mind went into a panic. The feeling of utter despair began to sink in as the scientists proceeded to experiment on his body, his body reliving the excruciating pain all over again.

Sairen also struggled against her bindings but only briefly before becoming completely still. There was no use in resisting. The hallucination was too real for her and after a moment, she began to believe that it was real. She was still a girl trapped in this white hell, her body used simply to test the curiosity of scientists and doctors. The freedom and life she had after escaping was simply a dream. Her eyes, losing their life, stared blankly at the ceiling as she felt the sharp pain of needles entering her arms.

While awaiting for Nudara's explanation as to what he required help on, Axel had been completely unaware of the appearance of the unknown man making himself known to the rest of the group in the courtyard since he was focused on speaking with Nudara at the time.
It wasn't until the sounds of battle reaching the courtyard did the pink haired male turn his gaze back over his shoulder to find familiar faces were battling against what appeared to had been Revenants; although these Grimm were much more difficult to deal with than ordinary Grimm, some of those who actually fought against the threat seemed to had been giving them much more trouble as they almost appeared as though they were holding back from fighting the Revenant. Eventually, Blanche finished her enemy only to be left on her knees before the remains of her enemy while Reign was allowing himself to practically be beaten down half to death. "Wh-What? What's going on..?"

As Axel questioned the sight before him as to how those who fought against the Revenant barely wished to fight while the rest stood there like statues completely ignoring everything that was going on around them; his own attention was soon brought upon the white haired stranger who simply stood there watching all this going on with a toothy grin across his face. Whatever he was doing to them, the idea of heading out there blindly probably was going to get him caught into the very same thing they were going through.

Pondering on what he was to do, Axel scanned the lobby to see what he could use without any success as he approached the large staircase just to run his bandaged arm along the rusted metal railing. Tightening his grip around the railing firmly, little by little the railing was ripped from the concrete just to be held in his right hand. "Move Nudara.." With stating that one comment and after he had moved, the pink haired male flung the railing out the front lobby double doors; due to it's size, it easily destroyed a large section of where the exit was only to make the front lobby doors become a massive gapping hole in the building. As the railing showed no loss in speed, the orb-like Grimm had noticed as to how the railing debris was headed straight for Zayne who stood there without any bit of fear let alone shock of what was randomly approaching him.

Staring up at the crumbling railing and it's sharp spear like edge barreling down towards him, Zayne simply stood there still with his toothy grin before the orb-like Grimm that had been causing the hallucinations upon the rest of the group quickly floated itself in the way of the debris just to allow itself to be struck down and destroyed in an instant to defend it's master. With the orb gone, anyone that was once trapped in the hallucinations would be snapped right back into reality. All the while, Zayne snapped his fingers to get the attention of the only Revenant that still lived which had appeared to be Lilac beating Reign down constantly.

Getting the attention of the single Revenant that still lived to command it to return to his side so that they could take their leave, Zayne would be left applauding the large group. "Just as expected. You all are still as weak as you were all those years ago. Nothing has changed, just as I suspected. I must thank you all for your work...Until we meet again children." With that, Zayne picked up his cloak just to wrap it around his entire body once more before turning his back to the group as he progressed his way into the large battlegrounds of Atlas troops and Grimm once more.
Knowing the possibly of any of them attempting to come after him, by the time Zayne had turned his back to the them; two massive Nevermore came crashing down standing at the exit to the courtyard along with several alpha Beowolfs as well as Sphinxes. They all stood defending the exit as they growled and roared at the group without attacking unless anyone attempted to go after Zayne.

The sounds of nearby battle caught his attention. Nudara looked back to see the same group from before - with a few people he didn't recognize. In battle against Grimm. And barely trying at that. It seemed they barely even wanted to bother fighting properly. What was this? He had to help them. Though it would be too much of a risk to simply run out blindly. There was a very chance he could end up in the same state as them.

Then he heard his name being shouted. Told to move. Nudara instinctively jumped as high as he could, touching against the ceiling. A metal railing was flung underneath him. Where it crashed through the lobby doors and destroyed the exit. Where once were doors was now a hole. Nudara landed. Took one look back at Axel. Nodded.

"That should be enough, I'm moving in," he declared.

He rushed out the hole in the wall. Approaching the group and whoever they were fighting. Nudara moved as fast as he could. Sprinting hard. And finally leaping. Midas Talon in hand. With the press of a lever he whipped the blade out and hit the railing. Causing a small explosion to propel it faster. But the Grimm intercepted it before it could hit the real threat; the mysterious cloaked man. Nudara turned his body as he landed far over the other side of the mysterious man.

"Hey, where do you think you-" Two Nevermore crashed into the courtyard. Blocking the exit. "Damn it."

They blocked the exit of the courtyard. He was getting away. Whoever he was, he was getting away. Nudara looked back at the group. Some of the people he knew. But there were new faces, too. They had better be ready for a fight. Both Nevermores roared. They growled. But they stayed put. Waiting for someone, anyone, to try getting past.

Today was becoming a lot of effort. "Everybody! Focus everything on just one of them. The sooner we take one of them out, the sooner this fight becomes only half as difficult." Sounded simple enough. But it had been some time since Nudara had seen a Nevermore this big.

With that he spread his wings. Activating his semblance and pushing his aura to reach as far as he could. Great golden wings of energy unfolded from his back. They reached across most the courtyard and shined with a bright golden light that was almost painful to look at.

The visions flashed and repeated with no end in sight, as if he were strapped to a chair and forced to watch some nightmarish film over and over again. Yet, suddenly, the flashes of memory cut off abruptly.

Doran blinking a couple times before looking around frantically, severely confused at his current surroundings. His breath was ragged, as if he had just run a mile at sprint and his face glossed with tinges of sweat. It was like he had fallen into a horrible dream, yet here he stood. He wasn't sure what brought it on, or why now he was back in the academy grounds. All he could hear now was the man from before gloating.

Him—It was him.

Whoever this motherfucker was, he had to have had some hand in what happened. He knew about about it. Hell, he just made Doran relive it. Why and how? That didn't matter. He was apart of it, somehow. For that he had to pay.

And now, the bastard was even taunting him.

Growling under breath, Doran's expression of a laid-back vagabond had been replaced with a face of pure rage and undiluted spite.

"Cocksucke-" Doran cursed aloud as the man turned his back to the group. His blades in hand, the mercenary braced to attack before two Nevermore shook the ground with their landing, acting as a barrier between them and the mystery-man. The vibrations caused Doran to stumble slightly, catching himself as he brought a hand to hold his head as if fending off a migraine.

He had never forgotten, not even for one day. However now, the memories were so fresh it was like it happened just yesterday.

Gritting his teeth, it only served as fuel to the fire. Doran rose up again, scimitars in hand. Someone was speaking in the background; making call-outs and giving command. He wasn't listening, even the sudden onset of a light overcoming that of a flashbang didn't stutter the drifter. While once somewhat apprehensive and aware of his current limits, now he just wanted to cut the belly of the arrogant motherfucker that was walking away so nonchalantly.

Dashing ahead, Doran gripped both sabers, loading one of them with a cartridge. As he neared one of the Nevermore, he swapped one for the form of a gun and pointed it directly at the ground. Loaded with wind dust, he catapulted into the air and with a half spin he fired the other barrel behind him, launching him forward and down towards the beast, spinning as the shotgun returned to the form of a sword and goring the Nevermore's neck.

Lairen and Sairen Lee
| Time: Noon |
| Location: Vacuo Academy |

One moment the two were deep in an nightmarish hallucination, reliving their dark past in a pure white hell and the next, they were thrust back into reality. Sairen stood there, her hands loosely gripped around Caelestis. Her mind and body were still in a state of numbness. It was her natural protective instincts kicking in as she remembered the pain she went through all those years ago. She couldn't be hurt if she didn't feel anything, both emotionally and physically. Lairen, on the other hand, quickly snapped out of it, his grip tightening on Vincere Arcere as he turned to his sister. He had seen her like this a couple times before. When they were younger, she had fell ill. Having no other choice, he took her in to the hospital. The sight of white walls and needles were enough to throw her into this lifeless state. It took her weeks to return to her normal self after that, but they didn't have weeks to spare. He looked up as the mysterious man had fled, the wall of Grimm blocking anyone who dared to chase after him before turning back to Sairen. He briefly sheathed Vincere Arcere at his sides before wrapping his arms around her.

"Sai, it's okay. It's not real," he cooed reassuringly, his hold on her tightening. He repeated this over and over as if reassuring himself along with his sister. "I'm right here. We're together again, Sai. We won't be separated ever again. Come back to me," he said, trying to hide the panic in his voice as he heard the battle continuing. Though slow and softly at first, Sairen returned her brothers hug, her smaller arms wrapping around his larger stature. She, too, heard the sounds of fighting in the background and realizing that she needed to her herself together, she pulled away from her brother. Her face was still a devoid of emotion, but she gripped her fans in her hands. Lairen breathed a small sigh of relief. She wasn't back to normal completely but was ready to fight. That was enough for him.

"Sai, he's probably related to that lab. He has to be. We're going to kill that bastard," he stated, his teeth gritting together as he drew his swords once again. Sairen replied with a silent nod, her hands readjusting their grip on her fans, which were both fully splayed out. The two began their charge at the group of Grimm, following shortly after Doran. A small group of beowolves and sphinxes charged towards the siblings, the sphinxes taking flight above. In perfect sync, Lairen combined his swords together to form it's shield before turning his body to face his sister. In one smooth action, he dropped to one knee and lifted his shield above his head. Sairen planted one foot on top of the shield and the two simultaneously pushed off from each other. This effectively sent Sairen into the air, her fans glowing a light blue as she gave them a strong swing behind her. Her fans quickly switched to blades as she flew quickly towards the two sphinxes. With the momentum she had, she easily sliced the head off of the first sphinx but began to slow down. The sphinx opened its jaws to grab her as she went straight for it, but was met with a layer of ice freezing its mouth and jaw in place as Sairen swung her fan. Using one hand to touch off the head of the sphinx, she spun herself midair to land on its back. She extended the blades as far as they could go before digging them into its neck. Her fans glowed a bright blue, releasing ice dust in its neck. In a sickening crack, the neck froze over and snapped quite easily.

All the while, Lairen had reverted the shield back to sword form just as a beowolf began swinging its arm at him. Lairen simply turned around, his sword drawn up to his face. Using its own momentum, Lairen severed its arm. In the Grimms brief hesitation, Lairen raised both swords up to its neck, blades facing each other but on opposite sides of the neck. In one fluid motion, the head of the beowolf was scissored off. Another jumped from behind the beheaded one. His left blade quickly switched to its pistol form as he aimed towards the Grimm's chest. A single shot was all it took to push it back enough for Lairen to get the upper hand. Before it could get up, he jumped on it's chest and with both weapons now swords, brought both swords down to sever its head. Two more headed straight for him. Once again, he switched his swords to pistols and began firing before they could get too close. Their more heavily armored heads deflected his bullets and they quickly appeared in front of him. He twirled his pistols, which then unraveled and connected together to form a shield. The attacks from the two beowolves simply deflected off the shield and while the two were thrown off briefly, he took this opportunity to double back flip out of their immediate range. He switched one sword to pistol form and dashed for one beowolf, slicing upward, but not strong enough to break through it's tough hide. Both beowolves turned to swing at Lairen, their claws coming down on his quickly. He turned to one, blocking it's attack with his sword while shoving his pistol into it's open mouth sideways. He pressed the trigger to shoot straight through it's head. When he turned around, Sairen had fallen from the sky and already had her blade deep in the other beowolf's head.

The two gave each other a small glance before heading forward towards the larger group of Grimm, ready to assist Doran if needed.

"-Gasp." A deep breath caused Acroma to catch all the dust that flew up during the conflicts, it scratched at his lungs at a few dry coughs came out of the young man. The bright white lightbulbs of his hallucinations gave away to the bright white Vacuo sunlight, both stung his eyes badly. It took a moment to regain composure, the dull pains, regardless of it's origins being of reality or hallucination, still coursed through his body. "...Damn it." Acroma's upbringing never helped him learn any vile curses, but at the moment he wished he could find more vulgar words to describe the entirety of what just went down.

He expected to be tortured, he expected the experiments, he expected all the pain that he had gone through. But he never expected to go through it again, so real and vividly, even the crippling loneliness and the feeling of his blood being slowly frozen up was recaptured perfectly. In the end, all he did was turn to his semblance again, he didn't do anything on his own, he never did.

Acroma laid in the dust for a few more moments, bits of ice crawled up his arm and onto his neck. It dulled the pain and cooled his brain. The quiet moment didn't last long as the voices of his travel companions could be heard, the dazed state of his mind made it sound like a distant crowd. Though the murmurs where quickly broken by the shrieks of Grimm, as a giant Nevermore flew over top, blocking the rays of sunlight that blinded his eyes. The azure hue pupils widen as the Grimm flew across, in a split second the creature's limbs were punctured by pillars of ice. Though upon closer examination the ice structures were peculiar, it was as if they were coated in some sort of more rigid material. "-Ha."

Using ice as a base while forming a sharp hard light blade along the edges, Acroma was quite proud of himself for thinking up that one on the spot, but this wasn't the time to examine his work further. The Nevermore struggled as he quickly plopped himself up, the scattered metallic cards activating their gravity dust and flying back into his hands.

"A little help here? Guys?"

After the events that took place at the ruins of the old Shade Academy in Vacuo and Axel had acquired what he had been in search for; a recording from the original Headmaster of the academy. The recording held information about how the Headmaster knew that Project Grimm was not what it seemed to be even from how it was advertised to the world, the recording also stated that he was going to head to Atlas and approach the Headmaster of Atlas Academy about the project; before it could continue any further the recording was cut off by an explosion.

With so little information in hand, Axel believed that to get more detail about this recording he was going to need to head to the ruins of the other academies to see if any of the other Headmasters or Headmistresses knew anything about this as well.
As he was about to leave, Axel knew well enough that he wouldn't be able to venture off to each of the ruins by himself due to all the Grimms that lurked the land followed by the fact that the ruins each had tons of Atlas troops all around that considered the ruins restricted.

Eventually, he was able to recruit a few familiar faces to join him, while they all had their own reasons for joining it was at least some help and at this point if he wanted to learn more about Project Grimm, he was going to have to accept their own reasons even if he had to lie to them .

After about a week or so of traveling both by foot and taking rides from strangers here and there for a little bit before needing to depart on separate ways, the group has finally reached the land of Mistral. While they are still a few days from the ruins of Haven Academy by foot, they were only a few hours away from reaching the city of Wakikata where the group could stock up on supplies and see if they could also get a ride from any of the locals to get closer towards the ruins rather than walking.

After making camp on a side road for the night, morning came and now the group prepares to venture forward to reach the city of Wakikata.

With the help of Blanche's Caravan, even if the journey up the mountain trail was going to be still long and possibly dangerous, at the very least they had the safety of having some of them being able to be inside of the caravan thanks to it being run on gas.
Axel's motorcycle on the other hand did not exactly provide cover as well as it taking much more gas to push itself to go up steep trails such as the one that was before them.

__________________________________________________________________________________

Opening his emerald eyes to the sounds of birds chirping and the slight chill of snow falling onto his body, Axel slowly stretched his arms over his head just to soon help himself up from resting against a tree where he slept for the night. As he stood, he brought his gaze around the area just to see if everyone in the group was still around or if any of them leave during the night. His attention was soon taken over towards the large mountain trail that the group was going to have to traverse up as he picked up his sheathed blade just to call out to those around him. "Hey guys...Wakey Wakey. We need to get moving if we're going to get to Wakikata soon. Sooner we get going, less Grimm we might have to deal with on the way there." As he called out to everyone, his thoughts wandered about everything that had happened up till now, especially that of what happened back in Vacuo. Even with it being over a week now since the group had left Vacuo the thoughts of what he found at Shade Academy followed by the stranger who appeared out of nowhere was still fresh in his mind.

There were still so many questions unanswered and there was no telling if this journey to Haven Academy let alone Atlas was going to provide any answers. Not to mention, Haven Academy was probably going to be crawling with Atlas troops all over and he knew all too well that Atlas was not going to simply let them waltz in there to look for a recording from the Headmaster; if there even was one.
Shaking his head to attempt to not be so negative on the thought of what was waiting in the future, Axel focused on the present. While waiting for everyone to fully wake up, he made his way towards the remains of the camp fire just to toss away the burnt pieces of wood and replacing it with fresh pieces that was left on the side from the evening.

Piling up the pieces of wood before rummaging through his pockets for a red dust capsule, he'd snap the capsule only slightly underneath the piles of wood to ignite the campfire once more. Nearly burning himself as he did so, Axel ignored any of the pain just to soon tug his large bag over towards him to pull out a pan and holder to keep pan elevated over the fire. Dripping a small portion of oil into the pan and cracking several eggs into it, he prepared breakfast for everyone while they woke.
While it wasn't exactly a special or big breakfast, going up a mountain without something in one's stomach was only going to drain energy all that much faster and if they had to fight any Grimm on the way, it was only going to be that much more difficult on an empty stomach.

Another day, another... Well... Not much dollar here. In fact he was pretty sure this was more or less a glorified homeless commune at this rate... Yea, sure, he was gonna fight grimm. But grimm don't give money up when they die damn it! Salvage can be gotten, sure, but... Hell... dosen't matter... As long as he fights he'll find some way to get some extra scratch... As long as people don't go off and die on him.

At least alot of these folks were lookers, but all of em just sorta ping his crazy meter.

Was he getting paranoid?

Or maybe just the juice acting up again...

All he knows is... Eggs...

Eggs good.

Stomache demand eggs.

Awaken now.

At the behest of the gutteral demands of his stomache the man growned, sitting up in his cot. Morning, horrible morning. Fuck the sun. Go back to bed you shiny bastard.

...Seems it wont.

You win this day.

Cad rolled over and shuffled the roll off of his body, blindly reaching around for his shirt, fighting with his horns to put it on, shuffle into his pants, find his belt, brush teeth without water, spit out spittal into a nearby bush. Finally he rubs his eyes clear and looks at the world around him...

"...Eggs...." is all his tired dictionary could muster as he shambled like a lazy giant, which he was, towards the fire, sitting across from the head chef. "...Morning, you got enough to share with the class eh? Or you eaten them all yerself." He wondered though... Whered he get the eggs? How long were they on him...?

He knew of an old fellah who kept boiled eggs on him at all times... For days even after he made em... You could smell the fellah before you would see him. Good guy, smelled of death.

He had been up for a little while.Taking a little tome to himself before they continued their travels. Nudara had been roped in with this group after what happened at Haven Academy. While he was not quite sure what he thought of some of them, they had all proven themselves to be competent fighters. They were reliable. And Nudara had not met reliable in a while.

He was looking over his weapon when Axel began waking everyone up. He put his sword back into its case. Fine tuning and careful maintenance would keep it working optimally. The dust crystal had been damaged recently and it needed a little care.

“Got some breakfast going?” he asked. I’m starving.”

Travelling always made him hungry. Besides, fighters have to stay well fed to keep themselves in fighting condition.

The morning hue's light shone on Blanche's face where she lied, providing an annoyance that forced her to turn her head to open her eyes. Lying on one of the beds in her caravan, she was wrapped up completely in her blankets in a snuggly burrito. She'd offered the space within it as a sleeping spot that the group could take turns in. At first, Blanche had told everyone to not touch anything important on this caravan or they risked getting tossed by their tits or balls off of her vehicle. But now, she had established a general, mutual trust with everyone that she could allow a switch around with the caravan's beds.

Today was her turn.

She combed out the bedhead as much as she could and fixed her clothing then exited the caravan with a yawn.

"Good morning~" She said as cheerily as the morning would allow.

However, it was then that she noticed a stranger had approached their camp. Immediately she noticed that he was huge. Like, whoa, that was one tall boy.

"Hello stranger." Blanche greeted with a smile.

She would have offered to help but she was covered in dirt thanks to not just sleeping on the ground, but digging her fingers into the Earth in an attempt to do any kind of activity with them.

She was itching to play her guitar and pass the time, but with her weapon's settings currently where they were, Violetta couldn't play one string without alerting the entirety of the camp. She didn't want to interrupt anyone's sleeping because her guitar's volume settings seemed to only have a "loud" mode. So she fidgeted with whatever she could find until a new person approached them asking for eggs.

She smiled and gave him a friendly wave. "Hey there! Nice to see a new face."

Following the incident at the academy, Doran had come to a very unwelcome realization. He wasn't going to pretend to be some hero or act like he cared morally about whatever the hell these "Aura Grimm" were. He honestly didn't. It just so happened that the bastard that took his family from him all those years ago weren't bandits he could never manage to track down, but these Aura Grimm, particularly one that could command the creatures like a whipped dog.

Some of his companions were apparently these Aura Grimm. Were it not for his experience dealing with people, he could have easily jumped on the train of purging all of the damn things. However, Violetta was one. Sairen had been too, as well as her brother wherever they had ran off to after the academy. No, he was hunting one particularly.

It was simple, barbaric vengeance, not money, driving him this time.

Coming down the path, the camp came into view once more. Seemed as though everyone was just waking up and preparing for breakfast. Doran on the other hand had woken up earlier than the rest and proceeded to check their path towards Wakikata for any surprises. Mistral was better than Vacuo, but he still heard stories about how sketchy it could be, especially their black market. It didn't help that Mistral was also pretty green; if you wanted to jump someone walking in the desert, you needed to either hide a ways behind a dune, or in the case of one crazy group of starving bandits, under the sand. That was an interesting day.

"Well, we're clear. No unwelcome toll booths. Grimm might wander on by though," Doran announced as he approached the fire.

He eyed the large, unrecognized man. He was a Faunus no doubt, of the same group as Blanche. The man was big and built, though Doran wasn't worried about a threat from him alone. After scanning the stranger, the mercenary glanced around at their surroundings for a moment. Perhaps it looked to some like he was admiring the view, but more accurately he was checking for any blind spots. Maybe Mistral was different, but in Vacuo you didn't just walk up to people asking for food.

"...I think I'm gonna round the camp again, make sure we're clear of Grimm," Doran said as he walked by Axel, suddenly but smoothly taking the pan handle from him and managing to flip a single egg out of the pan, somehow catching it in his mouth before handing the pan back and continuing on his way. "Thanks for the Axel."

'Ms. Traube'

Wakikata, Morning

Wakikata… if nothing else, it’s a silly sounding name that can bring a smile to your face. But before we go any further, please allow the scene to be somewhat built for you.

The morning light shines through the quaint buildings she finds herself surrounded by. A warm sun, the kind that makes a blind man smile when he feels it. She stands in front of the small inn that was her home for this past night. A young girl, she can’t be more than 21… but she carries herself as if she were much older. A small smile upon subtly painted lips (a faintly darker shade than her skin tone), and she breathes in deep the gentle morning’s air. Her long dark hair (it’s actually a darker shade of eggplant-purple, but in most light it can be seen as straight up black) is tied into a long ponytail, it going to just to the bottom of her ass and the tops of her thighs. Her hair being tied by a red ribbon. She wears a light colored outfit… a short skirt with a form fitting top. And over that, a white and beige jacket. Slung over her shoulders, a hefty backpack. Pretty much all of her belongings tucked within. Save for her sword… her rapier. Which she wears at her hip. Making sure everyone sees it, and hoping those same everyones presumes she can use it. Makes her life less complicated that way.

A few more steps from the inn she takes, her head tilted back a bit. Eyes fall to half closed as she takes in the living city around her. Some work she can hear being done not far from her little stoop, the sounds of progress. Of life. Chin levels out, and she glances over her shoulder as a man emerges from the inn behind her. He tips his hat to her and smiles a friendly greeting as he moves passed her. She smiles gently back to him, giving him a little nod. “It was nice meeting you, Mr. Claremont.” The much older man turns as he walks, motioning to her. “And you, Ms. Traube. Much luck to you on your expedition!” She nods once more as she smiles more, half bowing to him. He turns and walks on, having to get on with his own life.

Now she is on her way. A nice little cafe isn’t far from her… she can smell the eggs and coffee. Head bowing down she walks in that general direction. Her hands grasp the straps of her backpack as she goes, it almost looking as if it would be far to heavy for her. But her gait falters as they come into view… a man and a woman wearing Atlas authority uniforms. Casually she diverts her course to step into a space between the buildings, a simple alley. The couple walks passed her spot, seeming to not even notice her. Mores the better. She counts to 100 when they pass, and she then steps back onto the street as if nothing had transpired.

Ah… now for the good part of her morning thus far! It’s a quaint little outdoor cafe, and she moves to one of the empty tables. The tables and chairs being made of wrought iron. Her backpack is set down next to her, and she lowers herself into one of the surprisingly comfortable chairs. Almost immediately a waitress is there, ready to take her order. “3 eggs, scrambled. Browning at the edges. A serving of barbecue sauce. A serving of black tea.” She says in a tone that suggests she has said those words millions of time. She then looks up to the attractive waitress and gives her an endearing smile. “Please.”

Ilona Cardinal

Time:
Morning
Location: Wakikata
Mentions:

Waking from her slumber in a chapel, a young woman with grey hair and blue eyes awakens, wearing a plane white T-shirt and a pair of black spats, she stretches lightly yawning in the piercing dawn gaze. Rubbing her eyes, the woman is quick to move off of her simple sleeping bed, throwing on a pair of tight fitting pants, they seemed to be made of the same material as the clothing worn by the Atlas military, a partial mix of a plastic like material with cotton fibers. Cardinal was printed in large letters on the side as the woman stretches reaching for another item of clothing.

What Ilona put on next however was most assuredly not possible to mistake for anything out of Atlas, for it was a Nun's habit. Starting with the upper robe it was quickly made clear this also was not standard, consisting of a partial kama and upper torso covering, the material seemed to be a mix of leather with a cloth inlay, followed up with a black and white hood, seemingly made of a lighter fabric with a zipper to join the two halves into a face covering upon need. Next up were elbow pads, supply belt, shoes which were heels with guns and two armored gloves with two large gold looking bracers. And lastly of all a normal ribbon tying her hair near the end, which reach past her lower back.

"O' your humble servant gives thanks for seeing yet another day, blessed are the Brothers and blessed the teachings of the Saint Tera, holy be her name." Saying a quick prayer she mumbles a few more words silently before bending down to check her guns, making sure they had a dust cartridge loaded in she then smiles thinly in a mirror, adjusting her hood once more. Leaving her room within the chapel she bows to this Chapels Priest and Mother Superior, members of the Sects Deacons, thanking them for her stay and wishing them well, she is quick to pass by a few civilians who had came into the church, some were looking for a means to survive, others burned with righteous fury wishing to take up arms in a Crusade to push the Grimm back.. Many gave their thanks with a small boy running from his parents with a collection of coins and lien cards.

"Momma and Poppa gathered this as thanks for helping us get the farm up and running! Thank you Sister Cardinal!" Petting the boys head, the woman didn't betray any emotion aside from a soft smile as she collects the donation.

"Haha.. It's quite alright. Soon you all will be able to help yourselves and through that you will be able to help others, only together can we overcome whatever challenges come our way, such is the teachings of Saint Tera."

As she makes a cross like gesture, the boy repeats it and says one of the church mantra's; "Salvation lies in our own hands."

Laying a hand on top of his head, she gives him a small pat before walking off as he yells for her to be careful and to stay safe. With that out of the way the Sister takes a leisurely stroll, the tier city of Wakikata seemed as bustling as ever, always expanding, always crowded, Atlas soldiers were on patrol here and there, they were of little concern to her, though the feelings Atlas had on the Order of Saint Tera was as varied as the looks she got from them and others, some were happy, some less than so.. But none dared stop or hassle her, even those who might be tempted by her gold hued weapons had long learned that to attack the Church was not a situation that ended well typically. It was for this reason she was happy with taking the back alleyways, time to time seeing if others needed help or tending, following the sights, sounds and smells it was not a bad idea to put some of her donation to use out here to continue her mission as a Gralsritter.. the elimination of the Grimm and one could not do that on an empty stomach.

Looking at prices as she passed, the woman eventually settles on an outdoor café, a waitress was on hand, tending to a woman that stuck out almost as much as the sister did, if only because of the weapon at her side and long deep purple hair that rivals Ilona's own in length. The woman was no doubt some sort of traveler judging by the pack that was with her. Eyeing her briefly in passing, the Sister takes a seat a few tables down as the Waitress walks over to her.

Her own meal was fairly simple and plain. "Hmm a bread roll, two servings of cooked vegetables of whatever sort you have and one runny egg please. Ah and some black tea."

While something of a bit more food than the other it was also of more of the cheaper items the place had, though she had gotten a donation it was not in the woman's character to wastefully spend it.

Continuing to kneel in front of the roaring flame of the campfire with his bandaged arm holding onto the handle of the pan while using his free hand to crack one egg after another into the well oiled pan to fry them one after another. After calling out to the others to wake them from their slumber, whether or not they were already awake at the time, he put his focus on cooking the eggs for everyone's breakfast.
Since the group had been on the move constantly ever since the incident that went on in Vacuo and at Shade Academy, there was never any time to stop by somewhere and stock up on supplies; not that they actually were loaded with money anyway.
Because of this, Axel had scavenged for food on their travels wherever he could whether it came to edible berries, killing wild animals, or even stealing eggs from birds such as these, luckily since the last forest they had passed a day or two ago had plenty of bird nests, he stocked up on plenty of eggs that would at least keep the group fed until they could reach Wakikata, where he could stock up or at least attempt to on some better ingredients.

While seated there and still cooking, the sound of an unfamiliar male voice speaking up barely fazed Axel as he kept his focus fully onto cooking for the time being. Whoever this was, Axel found him as no threat immediately so he didn't pay too much mind to him aside from listening to the male's question about sharing it. "Heh, feel free to help yourself. There is plenty more to go around." Offering the male the eggs that Axel had been cooking and serving to everyone on a separate large banana leaves that were used as plates for everyone.

The next to speak up just so happened to had been Nudara who brought up the quite obvious question about getting breakfast started, Axel would nod in response before handing Nudara one of the banana leaves that had several eggs already on it. "Go ahead, eat up. Sorry there isn't much more other than eggs, sooner we get to Wakikata...the sooner we can get some better ingredients to make something better to eat." Laughing with his apology about how bland the eggs might taste since there wasn't exactly any seasoning in it.
Mid-cooking, the next to make themselves known was Blanche who had only just exited her caravan. Giving her a wave as a response to her 'good morning', Axel returned to his cooking while she greeted the unknown Faunus male.
The caravan had come quite in handy even if it wasn't huge, while he was offered along with the offers getting the same offer to take turns sleeping inside the caravan, Axel had always had a preference to sleep outside when it came to a decision between outside and a small interior space.

Soon enough, another familiar face came by the campfire; it was Doran. He stated how there weren't any tolls ahead but the idea of having to deal with Grimm was to be expected. "Just means we need to get packing and head out of here sooner than la--" Just as he was right about to finish up his sentence, watching as Doran stepped back to take the pan and slip himself an egg freshly hot from the pan before stating that he'd check around the camp; Axel would only shake his head with a low chuckle just to return to finishing up cooking.
"Hope you're all ready to go after eating. Wakikata should just be on the other side of this mountain. We should be able to get there by noon.."

Cadwic, the scruff cow man

"Much oblieged!" The large man took the egg and... All but slipped it into his mouth. Chewed once, twice, thrice, and swallowed. "Nothing like camp cooked eggs... could use some pepper i'd say. Not like you'd find that out and about, but a good little bit of wishful thinking never hurt someone." His eyes went to the others slowly coming out or their hiding holes, the man wasn't alone he knew, but still seing two cuties come outta the wood work, one suspicious fellah eye him and another who didn't even recognize his presence, was abit worrying.

granted, he did just walk up to a group, so, yea know, best he just be nice.

"heya folks." he gave a small wave and his best... very awkward looking smile. "Just a traveler, heading to... Eh?" he paused as he digested where they were heading. "Wakikata? You lot looking for work to? I'm kind of... Well not kind of, really outta luck the past few days myself. Nobody wants a hunter, except when grimm are around.

But I guess ya'll can imagine I'd be one, not everyone is touting around a weapon without a reason... or walking through the bush..."

he paused to consider his own logic there..

"...So... Uhh....

....

...Ya'll got any work yourselves..?

I'm hard for cash and...

Oh shit."

he blinked and stood up. "My name is Cadwic. A pleasure to meet yea."

It isn’t the fact that someone also sat down at the outdoor cafe, a seat adjacent from her, or anything. It isn’t the fact that her order is a little similar to her own. No, what made 'Ms. Traube' take notice was the fact the woman was wearing a nun’s habit. It isn’t like she’s never seen such wardrobe. But it isn’t exactly prominent. And did stand out, especially when most people see more military than religious folk. And especially to one not so used to seeing such things, more used to seeing military gear. But her bracelets do… rather stand out.

Reaching into the pocket of her jacket and pulls out her scroll. It looks like a single controller, white with gray accents. Her hand brushes against its edge, and the translucent screen extends from the ‘controller’. The waitress comes back with her order, and she looks up to her with a little smile. “Thank you.” She is asked if she needs anything, to which she replies. “No, not right now.” As she speaks, her eyes and attention go back to her scroll. Setting the scroll down next to her plate, she keeps eyes on it. On the display… well it looks like a little map. With red and white circles moving along it. Her hand finds the bottle of barbecue sauce and she opens it, eyes still on her scroll. Pouring some of the sauce onto her eggs, she only glances at them a moment. She kind of drowns the eggs in the tangy sauce. Satisfied, she sets the bottle down and taps a few places on her screen.

Taking a bite of her eggs, she would look up now. Her vision extending along the street this cafe occupies. Her eyes narrow… and up the street from around the corner a pair of humanoid robots appear. The civilians on the street make no notice of them… they recognize the Atlas military’s robotic sentries. The robots look left to right as they walk, rifles slung over their shoulders.

'Ms. Traube' shakes her head a little and now takes a few sips of her tea. Well her intention is to remain hidden, even if this town was a bad idea to come to if that were indeed your intention. And those robots would be more focused and observant than the officers she evaded earlier. Setting her tea down, her fingers dance across the screen of her scroll. There is some kind of scrolling readout as her fingers move over the input buttons. Taking another sip of tea, she looks up once more. Just as the robots were getting to the area of the cafe, they freeze abruptly. Their blackened visors flash red a moment, and they then about face. Immediately they start to march the way they came… and there is a satisfied little smile on her lips as she watches them. She gives a discrete wave to them, leaning back in her chair. It was an old override code she used… no doubt already being screened out from their defensive programs. But good enough for now to allow her to finish her breakfast in peace…

Ilona Cardinal

Time:
Morning
Location: Wakikata
Mentions/Interactions:

Watching the ongoing events of the morning, Ilona didn't have a direct interest in the girl to start with, sure the saber or rapier she had was eye catching, but what really got her interest was when the other had dumped a huge contents of barbecue sauce on her eggs.. It didn't look good but the later seemed to enjoy it. As her own meal came Ilona smiled kindly at the woman offering her thanks.

Turning back to her own meal she noticed a slight movement of the others head, clasping her hands together the nun starts a prayer over her meal as her eyes shift back and forth slowly.. Following what it was that caught the woman's interest, the street was fairly busy. People were going about to work or play, here and there someone was hawking wares or someone else was shouting about being ripped off.. Everything was rather normal, the question is what stood out, or rather what would change..

Scanning the crowd the only thing 'odd' was the heavy amounts of armaments which were fairly normal today.. Atlas also provided considerably security to the town, point of fact a drone pair were patrolling when their black visors suddenly flashed red and as quickly they turned around and left. Narrowing her eyes at that, Ilona traces her vision back to the other to see the slightest of waves and what reminded her of a Cheshire cat smile.. While not as big or noticeable as said smile.

Immediately Ilona found herself wondering if the woman was AWOL or a criminal of some sort.. And if she was? That was another question all in all, one which did not directly concern her at all. However it might be a good idea to shadow this one a bit just to be sure what she was up to, then it would be time to scout for Grimm along the roadways. Cutting her bread in half with a knife she places the egg in it while setting her veggies to the side, it was a little on the childish side but it was how she liked her eggs and a sandwich would likely be a scrambled or fried egg.

Unless the other woman made some attempt to leave or to rob the place there was no harm in letting the two of them eat in peace.

With everyone getting their food from the campfire and Doran off to go around the camp to make sure that there weren't any Grimm that were lurking nearby or even stalking the group, Axel had sat by the flame just poking at the firewood that burned in the center with another piece of wood just so he wouldn't burn himself.
As the male stranger greeted himself as well as taking a guess as to where the group was headed off to, Axel had kept silent about just openly admitting to someone he barely knew where him and the group was off to until he had stated the fact that he was a Hunter that had been looking for work. So, there were still other huntsmen who were around after-all besides themselves.

"We're indeed heading for Wakikata...Though we're not exactly looking for work. At least, I'm not. I have some...business to take care of there before heading out of there as well. If you'd like to accompany us then feel free to do so." Responding to the male who greeted himself to be known as Cadwic in the end.

Since Axel wasn't going to exactly eat since he couldn't seem to get the thoughts out of his head about what was going to be found when they reached Haven Academy after they left Wakikata later on, he stood from his seat on the floor by the fire only to stretch his arms over his head. "Hey guys? I'm going to start heading up the path. When you guys are ready, c'mon and join me up there?" Stating to everyone around the camp with his back turned to them, he picked up his blade and held it on his side before heading up the trail ahead of him.

Lairen and Sairen Lee

A week had passed since the day that man had appeared. They had joined the others in search of more information about the project they had underwent and hopefully take down the bastard that had cursed them and killed their parents.

The siblings slept beside each other while leaning against a tree, Lairen's coat thrown around Sairen to keep her warm as she rested her head against his shoulder. He awoke first to the sound of another individual's voice. It was Axel, the man who was also searching for the same truth as them. Lairen shifted slightly, awakening Sairen in the process. She sleepily raised her head before looking at her brother. Though she was looking at him, their eyes meeting, she had a distant look in her eyes. He recognized the look. Whenever she broke down and relapsed back into the trauma of that hell, she became lifeless, unable to feel pain. It was her mind and body's way of coping with what she had gone through.

"Good morning. Do you want to sleep more? I can carry yo-," Lairen said in a soft voice before being interrupted by a giant of a man approaching at the smell of Axel cooking eggs. "Are you hungry?" He continued on.

Sairen stared blankly at her brother in return. It was unsettling for him. When it was the two of them, she was usually talkative and quick with comebacks whenever he did something, but now she was just a husk. The last time she had reverted to this state it took months for her to return to her normal self. The only difference now was that she could fight while still in her dissociated state, but even that had drawbacks. For one, she couldn't feel pain. A couple days after the whole incident at Vacuo Academy, the group had fought off some Grimm and in the process, Sairen had gotten injured, but even she didn't notice. It wasn't until Lairen looked at her legs did he see that she had gotten a deep scratch. Luckily, it was mostly healed by now.

Sairen looked around as the others began to wake up. Her eyes rested upon a familiar male who she had become oddly attached to. Perhaps it was the fact that he had helped them before, but if she wasn't at Lairen's side, she was at Doran's.

Lairen stood up, pulling his sister to her feet along with him. He lead her towards the fire where Axel and some others had gathered around before making Sairen sit before the fire to warm up. He pressed the tips of his fingers against his eye patch to scan through the various glyphs he had set the night before. After confirming that there were no Grimm in sight, at least from where he could see, he released his semblance to cancel the glyphs.

Once the eggs were done, Lairen received enough for him and Sairen. "Here, eat this," he said, motioning for her to take the food. She opened her hands as he placed it in her palms. Her bites were small and slow but at least she was eating. Lairen ate as well, being careful to watch the giant of a man as he conversed with Axel.

Soon after finishing their meal, the siblings prepared to leave. With their weapons at their sides, they followed after Axel.

Ael was already up and about at the crack of dawn. No matter how much he ever wanted to sleep in, he was forced to be an early bird because of the side effects of his semblance. That said, he was surprised to find that he wasn't the first one to rise as Doran was nowhere to be seen. That wasn't an immediate cause of concern though as from the brief time he had to get to know the mercenary, he was quickly accustomed to his quirks and habits.

Ael himself left the camp to do his daily workout routine and scrounge up any medicinal plants he could find. Not only was he trying to stay in shape, he also found that the best way to get rid of excess energy he got from his semblance and make him significantly less jumpy was to do some basic calisthenics and work up a good sweat. Though these past few days, it became apparent that he was using exercise to distract himself from the events back at Vacuo.

Ever since Ael found out the existence of these "Aura Grimm", it felt like someone had pulled the rug under him and his entire world was turned upside down.

Upon reporting his discovery to Ingram, the silver haired former huntsman didn't even seem the least bit surprised... Apparently, through his connections, he already found out the existence of Aura Grimm... And one of his comrades encountered one that looked vaguely similar to his student and Ael's former partner, Windia. She was last seen near Wakikata so without hesitation, Ael joined the motley crew of this caravan in hopes of finding out for himself the truth. For that reason, he couldn't bring himself to think ill of any of his companions who were Aura Grimm, even though out of everyone present in this expedition, his hatred for the creatures of Grimm was probably the greatest.

"Damn that silver haired bastard... If he knew she was alive, even if it was a rumor, why would he keep this information from me? Why didn't he try to look for her, himself?" Ael has repeated these thoughts in his head as he was heading back to camp that he didn't even notice he had arrived until he realized there was an extra person with them.

Since nobody is kicking up a fuss about their faunus visitor, Ael decided against doing so as well. Instead, he gave an acknowledging nod at their guest before he approached Axel who had taken on the role of the group's chef. He handed him some wild root crops he found while he was on a jog.

"We could cook these up for lunch or dinner later." Ael told Axel before trudging over to where Lairen and Sairen sat. "I found some medicinal herbs while I was doing my daily routine. I know it looks like that wound's almost healed by now but that's exactly why we can't let it get infected specially if we have to go over the mountain to get to our destination."

Finally, Ael would partake in the breakfast Axel prepared for the group before donning his armor and performing last minute checks on his equipment. After all, properly maintained equipment could mean the difference while they are on the move or fighting Grimm.

"No matter what happens... I need to know for sure if you're still alive..."
