Whisper in the Rain

Adrian kicked at a loose stone with his worn sneaker, glaring up at the sky for bringing cold and rain at such a strange time in June. He brushed his black hair back from his face and glanced down at the road again, absently rubbing at a spot of sleeve of his jacket, where underneath, a brand marking him as a part of the Black Knights lay, a black Celtic-like cross with black flames surrounding it.

He glanced up at the sound of voices, then away when he realized they were coming from an apartment above him. They didn't concern him and he just wanted to get back to the simple hotel room he called home.

Clad in black from head to toe, skinny jeans, tank top, unbuttoned jacket and Converse shoes, he looked for all the world like a bad boy from hell. Not that it was a bad thing, it only added to his 'do not bother me' aura he gave anyone who came close.

Adrian caught sight of the hotel he was currently staying at and quickened his pace, eager to get home and sleep.

Being in a gang, especially the overly-strict one he was a part of, was never easy.

Training, fighting, shooting, stealing, etc.

It all turned monotonous after a while.

He just wanted a break from everything, honestly.

The buildings loomed up and behind him as he went over to the simple hotel, so out of place with the multiple storied buildings that crowded the limited city space.

In all the time he had spent with and without from the gang that claimed he was part of a family, he had never felt more alone in his life. Being part of a gang was already a lonely lifestyle. Add being an out-of-the-closet gay guy and you have yourself the overall treatment from people as they would a leper.

Yep. Fun, wonderful, social times.
