MAY 7th: FREE COMIC BOOK DAY​

That's right, it's the first Saturday of May, which is FREE COMIC BOOK DAY! All over America, comic book shops will be handing out free comic books to people who visit their store.

Wonderful timing too, as it's the day after Thor was released into theaters. :D

Does anyone plan on taking advantage of this wonderful day? What comic books have you obtained in the past years during that special Saturday? What special comic book do you wish you could have for free?

Yes indeed I plan to take advantage of this. I need to catch up as well. It's been about 2 or so weeks since I got my last comic. I wanna catch up on Fear Itself from Marvel, and I need to get the back logs of Uncanny X-Force. I came in right at the end of the story so I was little clueless as to what went down..and I need to catch up on Amazing Spider...the future force costume looks pretty sick. Makes him look like Anti-Venom though.

I hope I can get Flashpoint for free when I head over there tomorrow. But of course my day could be spoiled. Bah humbug.

I use the Orochi-store all year 'round.
Like every five years.

Won't be anything left by the time I have a chance to get to my local shop this year. Which is disappointing because there's usually one or two titles I fall in love with, even if only for a short spell.

I suppose I save money this way.

stash: ASM, GL, Super Dinosaur, Archie, Kung-Fu Panda, a Yu-Gi-Oh mango (lolwot), 2 local comics and 50 back-issues.

Then attended Metro Comic Con on the same day. Got even more cheapo comics. After RAEG-ing at the weeaboos.

Will post pics and make a post on my site later, now it's Doctor Who time.

There are absolutely no comic shops anywhere near me, really. Sadnessface.

I went to the mall BEFORE opening hours and RAN to the comic book store and was STILL #159 in line

so many fucking people lined up, it's crazy! that's because the gave away SO MANY COMIC BOOKS!

People got 3 international comics, 2 local comics and a mango(lol yu-gi-oh). But since I know the owner, I got SO MUCH MORE BWAHAHA!

BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE. The first 500 people got FIFTY free back issues FROM THE 90'S! FUCK YEAH, LIEFELD COVERS FILLED WITH POUCHES!

AWWW YEAH!
