Freaks from Freak City

Kiera sat on the floor of her broken down house, all to herself. She rubbed the head of her anaconda, it's fear melding with hers. The city guards were going to enter at any moment. Her parents had begged her to go freely to Freak City, but what would would happen to Damian, her snake? He didn't do well with strangers. Kiera was a snake charmer. Besides having a great relationship with snakes, she could talk to them and know what they felt. Kiera had rescued Damian from the zoo when she was a little girl, and they had become the best of friends. Of course, her parents didn't enjoy having a massive snake living in their house, but every time they asked her to put him back where she found him, he wound around her tightly, protecting her. She wasn't affected but his constricting grip, but her parents didn't realize that. Now, Kiera was in her teens, and her parents had left the house long ago. They had returned a day ago, saying that if she put Damian back into the zoo, then she wouldn't have to go the Freak City. Damian, angry at her parents, had chased them away. But now, the guards were coming.

The guards led her down to Freak City, and strangely enough, there wasn't any protection. Surely she could let Damian out the get some fresh air once in a while. He was wound tightly around her at the moment, hissing at the guards anytime that they tried to touch her. They went deeper and deeper, until she saw it. She had no idea that the world was full of so many amazing people. The guards shoved her in. Before she could stand up, the guards were long gone. There were a few people at the entrance, just a few feet away from her. She walked up to them. "Hello, I'm Kiera. And this is Damian." she said softly, so as not to startle them.

seeing kiera right before he left he sighed and waved "hello im nivek" he said as he was walking further in the city.

Alexei was prepared for such type of questions and had an ample amount of time to think of his answer, since he was forced to walk all the way to the freak city, as all the animals feared its entrance, so horseback was out of the question. He was happy that the other two didn't really display any interest in him, which meant he could get through this city unnoticed. Impress by his stealthy abilities, he smiled cheerfully and answered the young girl "I simply can't be forced to call them freaks" he though as he was speaking:
- But I am a freak - he smiled even move - I am freak for I have in my possession an impenetrable armour and power able to crumble cities to the ground or raise rocks from the depth of mother Earth. And that armour, my young friend, - he said as he leaned close to her - is worn in the mind - he pointed at his burrow with a large smile as he said the last words.

Alexei turned back at the other girl who had just popped out of nowhere. He saw the snake, apparently being telepathically controlled, standing wound around her body and he was amazed by this power. If he had free time in the coming years he would definitely research into it! But to the matter at hand, was possible for another person to just be shoved into the city, much like himself? Well, if this was happening on a daily basis at this rate the underground metropolis wouldn't be able to sustain its population. Perhaps his luck was even better than he had expected! He would offer the mayor his skills and, if his suggestions were true, his latest invention would be put into good use. Sure, the army confiscated it and the Church burned down his laboratory with all his prototypes and sketches, but that was only a minor inconvenience. The mind that build those things was still fully operational! If the mayor agreed to his suggestions, Alexei would also be able to test and improve it! He was simply ecstatic.
- Why hello there - he offered his hand to the newcomer with a cheerful smile - I would offer my hand to your friend here, but I'm afraid he doesn't like me, judging by the way he is hissing and staring at me. My name is Alexei and the pleasure of this wonderful encounter is all mine. I was from the Winter country before I came here, what about you?

Alex sat within Jade's protective coils, watching the day pass by within the depressing underground city. He had thought that he was the only one with a snake familiar, until he caught sight of the new girl who was just escorted into the city by those God-forsaken cruel guards. He remembered when he was exhiled into the underground city by his own mother, who never cared for anyone but herself.
After Alex learned to manipulate energy the way he could, he met Jade almost a day later. And two days after that, his mother turned them in.
Alex shifted nervously, wondering what story the new girl had.
"Stop fidgeting, will you, love?" Jade said. Appearently, Alex had accidently awoken her from dozing off.
"Oh, sorry." He said, cleaning off his glasses.

Damian was indeed hissing, obviously not impressed by Alexei's behavior. "He doesn't take kindly to strangers. Sorry." Damian turned to her, whispering in her ear, obviously nervous due to his pronunciation of his S's. "I don't like being sssseen by all thesssse... people. Can't we jussst find a plasssse to hide?" he said, lovingly brushing his tongue against her ear.

wlaking down further into the city look fr a place to drink.

Alex jumped from his perch and began walking to the snake charmer.
"I'm going to talk to her." He told Jade.
"Be careful. I don't want to have to rescue you from anything....again." She hissed.
"Don't worry." Alex reassured. He made his way to the snake charmer before politely holding out his hand.
"Hi," he said, "I'm Alex."

Kiera turned to see a rather handsome young man introduce himself. "Uh, Hi. I'm Kiera. This is Damian." Damian nodded as she introduced him. He turned to her. "He'ss another snake charmer. I can tell."

Risette suddenly saw the clean sewage water pour in more from the huge pipe in the middle of the water. She waved her hand and water floated towards her. The connection from the water from the lake to the water lifting to the girl was severed with her mind as her eyes glowed purple the water formed into a ball. Her telekinetic energies were surrounding the waters manipulating it. She tried touching it but before she could the cycle was broken and the water fell on the docks near Risettes feet. She held her head, another person could control energies as well, she wasn't used to it so it interfered with hers. She closed her eyes grunting.

Alex studied the snake around the girl's shoulders. "Nice to meet you," he said. "So, what brings you guys here?"

Risette quickly walked away as the boy arrived. She needed to get away from people right now before she hurt anyone. She took a deep breath and held her jacket close to her.

"My parents. They turned me in a couple of days ago, but the guards couldn't get to me for a while." she smiled. "I'm a snake charmer. I guess you could tell, though." she said, gesturing to Damian.

Risette took a deep breath again and tried to focus on something else.

snapping his fingers letting out small eletric sparks out of habbits just keeps walking keeping to himself untill the ned arises for him to talk walks into a place that looks like a bar.

Alex nodded. "Same here...on both parts."
It took him a moment to realize that Jade had followed him, coiling part of her thirty-eight foot length around him, as usual.
"And I'm Jade, pleased to meet you." Jade said, nodding politely.

Damian looked surprised, at least as surprised as a snake could be. "Nice to meet you." he said to Jade, his nervousness forgotten.

Jade smiled, if it was possible for a snake to smile. "Same to you." She said.
"Seems they like each other." Alex said, chuckling. "So, how do you two know each other?"

"When we were both little, his mother was being displayed at a zoo. They brought him out to show everyone. He had been abused, I could tell. He was such a tiny little thing." -she paused to rub his forehead- "So, at midnight, I snuck into the zoo, and set him free. He wanted to stay with me, so I took him back home. I kept him hidden from my parents for a little while. But it gets hard to hide an anaconda after a few years. My parents discovered him in the attic, gulping down house mice." she smiled. "You should had seen their faces."

Alex chuckled again. "Yeah, I can imagin." he said.
"When I was little, about nine or ten, I accidently wandered into the tiger pits at the zoo. While one was stalking me, Jade managed to spot them and slip through the bars. I have no idea how she did it, but she managed to escape. Just when one tiger was about to pounce on me, she came out of nowhere, coiling herself around me and hissing and snapping at anything that came near. Boy, were the staff surprised when they couldn't get me away from her! Ever since then, she's always been with me. She's been a better parent than my own mother has."
Jade nodded in agreement. "He was the cutest little boy you've ever seen, abandoned by his own mother. So I decided to take care of him."
