  • The time of the clans has long passed. All that remains is the single clan that encompasses what remains of a once thriving era. Clan names have diluted down to Bloodline names of families within Clan Darovit. A history of slowly disappearing groups of people.

    While clans were once marked by their abilities, it is now only rarely seen within the bloodlines. Only a handful can boast of their awakened abilities, and do it well within Village grounds. There are so few of them that they, by default, form part of and train for the village patrol.

    In the current era, Polfress Village is home to Clan Darovit. To the outside world it is a relic, resistant to change nay incapable of it. It resists technology by nature. A tourist might find their devices glitching as they approach the territory and nonfunctioning at all once they stand at the entrance. A native might travel to a city and find the arcade machine suddenly out of order after playing a quick game. Polfress Village may not have changed as much as the outside world over the centuries, but it has been influenced and shaped by it to some extent.

    As wars settled and peacekeeping agreements were made, Government and Clan currently hold an accord that allows clansmen permits to leave the village and live in modern societies. Certain conditions must be met, monthly checkups, record keeping etc. that nowadays are mere paperwork, however they were once based on the danger of having a clansmen with supernatural powers living in peaceful cities. Another condition, though more sensible presently than the last, is to have clansmen living a distance away from each other when outside the village. The purpose is to avoid as much technological disruptions as possible.

    In recent years however, there have been rumors through the grapevine of a group of individuals actively opposing this agreement through secret but violent means. By some unknown method, they have been forcing awake abilities among the clansmen. Already people watch the news with fear that the next victim might appear in their area, that they too might lose control and hurt those around them. Already people fear that clanswoman neighbor with whom they used to be so friendly.

    Tension rises, the Government sense the danger and the Clan feels the threat. In response Clan Darovit has called back every clansmen outside Polfress Village. Clan leaders want to control the situation by quarantine, facilitating their efforts to find out who is responsible for these attacks. People within the Village too are afraid, they do not know how abilities are being forced and therefore have no idea how to prevent themselves from falling victim. Rumors comfort them, letting them know trial and error follows success as the culprit group continue their mysterious plans.
  • Guidelines
    - Be proactive but reasonable.
    - Two active characters maximum per player.
    - No one liners and no fluff writing.
    - Iwaku rules apply.

    Key Points:
    - All characters will already know each other since they all grew up in the village, doesn't matter if they left it or not. (The point is to skip introductions and get to the plot)
    - Plan or establish character connections beforehand. Character Sheet will also have a section to help you do a general version of this.
    - If you want your character to be part of the revolutionary group, PM me.
    - If you want your character to already have their bloodline ability PM me. Keep in mind, they'll be living in the village and training or part of the village patrol.
    - Awakened abilities will happen at random (dice roll)
    - IC will start off during the Clan callback.

he morning chill crawled on the skin with discomfort. It was an ominous day for all those women and men who had made a home among the tall buildings and their mechanical soundtracks. Their home did not welcome then any longer. Like children frightened by the darkness of their own home, clanspeople made their dreary march "home." It was a choice and yet not at all. For the most part, the Clan order was understood, but there was also the fear that fueled it. Some feared the threatening looks, the outsider feeling, while others feared their own uncontrolled potential.

What if?

En mass, small numbers though they were, they unwillingly fled lives they'd shaped or had only just begun to. Meanwhile those who never left the Village felt the change in the wind. It wasn't just that the season was changing. This autumn was different in that it brought with it dread and possibility.


Was this an opportunity or a trap?

Only tomorrow would tell, and many thought of this hopeful but just as many worried for the worst.

She's taller than most humans and as physically strong as the average Strayskin.
Backstory :
Oelu was born to strayskins in a nomadic Orhcish Clan. There is human blood on the side of her mother, but Oelu was raised more in line with strayskin tradition as carried down in the bloodline of her father. With an unruly personality she followed her father into hunting whether he liked it or not, eventually giving into her eagerness to learn and pursue the way of life of a hunter.

Only once in her life did Oelu stray from the violence of survival and she's still pissed off about it. It was the fault of a stupid elf and his stupid surreal looks impossibly heightened by his even more stupid personality and the way he made her feel. Gross. He bewitched her and she punched him in the face for it.

Baby Nini came around looking more like him than her, and so the stupid looking baby would forever remind Oelu of that stupid time in her life. Still, the dumb baby was hers and the grandparents, who thought Oelu would never be tamed into motherhood, loved it instantly.

Two years passed and Oelu finally went to her trial. By then she'd already had plenty of experience hunting and was accompanied by another well trained fellow of her own clan. They consumed the Sopia of the first two Creatures they killed with Oelu claiming the first before the other could beat her to it. Bleeding Armadillos were not an easy catch after all, given their misting blood's effects. Only a year after she set off to board the Orcish ship setting north. She figured a true hunter needed the glory and experience. Plus, that dumb elf ought to know Nini existed.

Skills and Talents :
From her father she learned hand to hand combat and the use of a sword, while her mother taught her archery and tracking skills.
Special Traits :
Horns serve as sensors that detect air currents. Comes in really handy when aiming her arrows.
Sopia Slots :
Bleeding Armadillo has strong armor that protects it while blood flows between its scales. As the blood is touched by air it turns into a hallucinogenic mist.
Essence:
Has the ability to imbue Bleeding Armadillo's hallucinogenic blood properties to other blood. The effect is weaker than the original.​

Has the ability to grow Bleeding Armadillo skin shield on a limited scale. She currently only has Bleeding Armadillo armor on her arms.
