From her balcony, Evelynne could see part of the courtyard and gardens, and had an almost perfect view of the town below. It was already buzzing with people as banners and decorations were put up, goods were prepared, and lantern supply vendors began to set up their wares. It was quite the sight, one that Evelynne very much enjoyed watching every year. Though she could easily see the doors to her room from her chair, her attention was a bit to much on the sounds below. Ari was almost upon her by the time she took notice. Grinning, Eve would lean into the kiss to her cheek with a giggle.

"Good morning, darling." Eve would muse before sipping her tea. "Slept well I hope." She would say with a lightly arched brow, a playful grin tugging at her lips as thoughts of the night before danced to the front of her memory. Setting down her cup, Eve snatched up a cream cheese danish, fresh from the Baker's that morning. "You should try the danishes, they're fresh from the baker. You'll understand why we call his wares borderline addicting." Eve would say, nodding to the baked goods at the center of their tray. "Our servants have gotten more sneaky than I remember. Or I've just been sleeping better, not sure which ..." Eve would say with a chuckle as she gazed at Ari.

He was completely wrapped up, robe, blanket, and slippers. She hadn't thought it was that could, but Draevalia was also much warmer than here. "Have some tea, Ari. It will help you warm up." She would say with an affectionate smile before focusing back on the buzzing chaos below. Quietly, she would eat her danish as she watched the people below, the music getting louder as the morning sun got higher in the clear blue sky. It would be a perfect night for the lanterns, a clear starry night. "Excited to finally see the market and the festival?" Eve finally asked, brushing off a few lingering crumbs from her fingers before returning her tea to her lips.

'Darn, almost got her.' Arikizo thought, chuckling as Evelynne caught his gaze. "I slept very well indeed." He answered, beaming happily. "Your bed is quite comfortable if I may say so." His gaze went to the danishes as she snatched one from the plate as if he would suddenly steal all of them and leave her with none. "Well, I shall take you up on that. If I do happen to become addicted, perhaps we could postpone our trip back to Draevalia until I recover?" He chuckled, picking up a danish. "And probably the second one. We've both been sleeping to the sunrise since we got here." Ari sighed softly as he swallowed the first bite of the delicious danish. "You said this is called a danish, right? It's fantastic! I've never tasted anything like it." Soon the first one was gone, and a second one not long after.

Ari was nearly finished with the second danish, and reaching for a third when Eve mentioned tea. "Ah, yes, that sounds like a lovely idea." He agreed, popping the remainder of the strudel into his mouth before pouring himself a cup of tea and taking a seat in the chair beside her. "I probably look ridiculous, all wrapped up in this blanket like it's the middle of winter." The prince mused, chuckling as he sipped from the mug. His gaze went to the buzzing set-up for the early festivities, a bright shimmer of excitement lighting his eyes. "Excited to finally see the market and the festival?" "Why, no. Where did you get a crazy idea like that?" Ari teased in an exaggerated tone, grinning. "How can I not be excited to finally see more of your wonderful homeland, Evie? I regret being unable to share more of my country with you. Even I rarely travel outside of the castle guardposts. But now isn't the time for thoughts like that, is it?

Arikizo got up from his seat, leaning against the fencing of the balcony to place a gentle kiss to Evelynne's lips. He pulled back after a moment, catching a glimpse of a few stray crumbs that remained just shy of her lips. With a cheeky, mischievous grin, he quickly licked the crumbs away before pulling back, laughing at Evelynne's undoubtedly unexpectant reaction. The anticipation of the days events were making him giddy and even more playful than usual. "Now then, shall we get this festival started, my lady?" Are said, offering his hand to help her up; and entirely pretending what he'd just done had never happened, leaving her to wonder without explanation.

Eve would grin as she nodded her head gently. "Good to hear. I happen to agree with you. I rather missed my bed." She would say gently, a soft chuckle escaping her lips. As he teased about staying longer to recover from his newfound danish addiction, Evelynne would giggle once more. "I would be completely fine with that. Your parents however, would not I do believe." Eve would say with a disappointed sigh. She wished she could stay here forever. The thought of returning to Draevalia and being cooped up in the castle again dampened her mood.

"This is very true." Evelynne would say with a chuckle. "Yes, a danish. Some are filled with cream cheese, others fruits such as blackberry or strawberry. Quite delicious. They are tied for favorite with his eclairs ..." Eve would muse with a grin, making a mental note to stop by the Baker's later for some. Reaching towards the tray, she grabbed the second to last danish before Ari ate them all. "We are a cooler climate than Draevalia. Still plenty warm, mind you. You're just use to warmer. You look adorable, darling. Don't worry." Eve would say with a smile before laughing brightly as he sarcastic response.

"No, it is not. Now is time for exploration and adventure." Eve would say with a grin. Meeting him half way, she would return Ari's kiss with a smile. As he pulled back, Evelynne would arch a brow as she noted his grin. Before she could ask, he licked her, making her blink in surprise. "What in the world?" She would ask as he laughed, laughing as she looked to him in confusion. Grinning as he side-stepped her question, Eve would nod her head gently. "Certainly. Let me take a quick bath and get dressed..." Eve would muse as finished off her tea. Setting the cup down as she stood, Eve would press a kiss to his lips before padding away to the bathroom to get ready.

Once she was bathed, dried off, and dressed, Evelynne would put the last few finishing touches on her look for the day before reappearing out of the bathroom. Her long brunette locks were pulled back in an sleek bun, the few shorter strands that wouldn't stay back left to freely frame her face. She had left her favorite gown home when she had went to Draevalia in hopes of being able to return in time for the Festival of Colors to wear it. Well, she gratefully had. It was a rather elegent gown with intricate embrodery on the front, a sash around her waist to accent her fit body. The fabric seemed to shimmer in the light, changing colors from an grey blue at the top to a deep purple at the bottom with hints of golds and reds in between. "Whenever you're ready, Ari. We'll go." She would say with a grin.

Arikizo chuckled, grinning. "Indeed. My family would think I was avoiding them for some reason." He answered. He snatched up another danish as Evelynne described the different kinds that the delicious morsel could be in. Very rarely did his family have sweets like this around unless is was a special occasion; a birthday, or something of that sort. "Cooler climate indeed. You may forget, I am a dragon after all. A cold-blooded monster like me enjoyed humidity and warmth rather than breezes." The comment was joking, as he wasn't trying to demean himself by calling himself a 'cold-blooded monster'. He had always assumed that his kind was seen in that way by humans, especially in Thiandra after the long years of war. But, from what he remembered of the welcome they received on the trip through the city upon their initial arrival, it seemed that his expectations and assumptions were way off base.

Evie's response was as amusing as he imagined, and he enjoyed how she always played along with his childish antics. "You were correct about the danishes." He responded, continuing to laugh. "And you had a bit on your cheek. I simply couldn't leave it to be wasted." He nodded at her following comment, returning the kiss and lingering on the balcony for a few minutes longer as she prepared to take her bath. His gaze swept over the streets, grinning with anticipation of the day ahead of them. It would be an adventure that would hold him over for quite a while, and keep him content upon returning to the confines of his home; or perhaps it would make him even more stir crazy, who knew. He finally turned away from the view and went back into the bedroom, closing the door behind him to shut out the breeze. He picked out a comfortable yet reasonably elegant outfit, but didn't change just yet.

As Evelynne returned from the bathroom, Ari's face lit up in a grin. He couldn't help but admire the gown and how well it complimented Evie's looks. And very rarely did she have her hair up, which added to the splendor before him. "You look gorgeous, my dearest Evie." He murmured as he strode toward her, a blanket still draped around him with his change of clothes over one arm. He nodded at her comment, and responded, "I think I'll wash up as well. I promise I'll be quick." After placing a quick kiss to Eve's lips, he went off into the bathroom. A little while later, he reappeared, dressed in his favorite air of dress pants and shirt with a jacket that was unconstricting. His hair, though still a little damp, was neatly pulled back in a low ponytail that lay against his back. "I've kept you waiting long enough. Let us be off."

Evelynne would chuckle lightly in return. "And we wouldn't want them to think that now would we? They would think I had turned you against them or something ..." Eve would muse teasingly as she watched him snatch up another danish. She proceeded to make a mental note to have some sent to their cabin and a batch packed for their trip back to Draevelia for him. "Cold-blooded, perhaps. Monster is a bit of a stretch. Monsters don't like danishes so ..." She would tease in return, a grin dancing over her lips as she poked his belly playfully. "Ah, I see. We can't have any go to waste now. Just wait until you try his eclairs. Just as, if not even more addicting than the danishes ..." Eve would finish musing before disappearing into the bathroom.

The look on Arikizo's face quickly told her that he very much approved of her outfit of choice for the day. His brother wasn't here, so Eve felt more than comfortable to have her hair back for a change. She usually liked it back in a braid or bun, but ever since his slimy brother's comment about liking her hair back, she had made it her mission to keep it constantly down ever since. "Thank you, Ari. This dress has always been my favorite, particularly for the Festival of Colors." She would muse before nodding gently. "Of course, take your time." She would say in response, returning his kiss before he disappeared into the bathroom. As he returned, Eve would look to him, smiling warmly. "Handsome as ever, Ari. Yes, let's ..."

With a grin, Evelynne would lead the way through the castle and out into the courtyard. Her parents and brother were already there, and their cousin could be seen just barely climbing out of his carriage. Eve was practically giddy with anticipation for the day. She couldn't wait to show Arikizo the bustle of the market place and her favorite shops. Or her favorite spot to go to watch the lanterns being released. Today would a good day. It was already late morning as her family greeted the couple warmly. "Good morning! Our escort is already ready for us. We're happy you could both be here for the festival. This is my daughter's favorite after all." Roderick would say with a grin and a chuckle. "Come Eve, Arikizo. Let us be off." Isaiah would say as their parents began the walk into town. A number of scholars and nobles were already with them or joined them on their way into town, chatting away. "Ryn, glad you could join us." Eve would say in greeting to her cousin as she would link her arm with his, keeping Ari close with her free hand in his. "I wouldn't miss it. You know that. So many single ladies in need of being flirted with ..." He would muse, earning a laugh from Isaiah. "Indeed, cousin. We must give the ladies what they want ..." He would say in agreement, making Eve roll her eyes.
