This challenge is to help strengthen your vocabulary. You'll learn new words and how to use them in roleplay posts, stories, poems, etc!

Instructions:
1. Aim for a minimum of 1-3 paragraphs. If you'd like to write more than that, then go for it!
2. Make sure you use each word in your post. Be as creative as you'd like.
3. Style the writing like you would for a story. It can be describing a setting, or written from the perspective of a character. Whatever you feel would work the best.
4. Have fun with this, of course!

The Words:

  • Pontificate (v.) - To speak in a pompous or dogmatic manner.
    [*] Inchoation (n.) - A beginning; origin.
[*] Pernicious (adj.) - Causing insidious harm or ruin; ruinous; injurious; hurtful.
    [*] Apologal (n.) - A didactic narrative; a moral fable.
[*] Lissome (adj.) - Lithesome or lithe, especially of body; supple; flexible.

Time heals all. A constant new inchoation of rebirth into a new period where new choices present themselves. Its funny how the fibers of knowledge bend and flex with the entanglement of passage. A lissome union that make a person's mind and determines faith, morals, ideals, and aspirations.
Kaley nibbled on the eraser of her pencil and ran her hand through blonde curls. Her face was smudge with the shiny gray of graphite as trained eyes observed the drawing in her lap. Drawing was such an escape for her. Where she was at peace with herself and the pontificate self thoughts that laid dormant in the dark corners of her mind. Their voices were silent and she was allowed a break to accept herself. She laid the sketchpad down and ran her hand over the beautiful image she created. A dancer was intertwine with flames and water. Bending so beautifully together in harmony. She smiled at the image, then quickly frowned as her belly growled and pushed from the table to walk to the bathroom. The second she looked in the mirror, she froze and clutched the cold marble of the sink. Fat. Ugly. The dormant thoughts quickly woke up and attacked her. Fat. Pathetic. Fat. Fat.Fat!
She forced herself to look away from the mirror and into the endless black hole of the drain. How was it that she was so happy a few minutes ago? She remembered the dancer she drew with her hands an--- her hands... She looked down at them, covered in graphite and white from her grip. She moved them from the sink and held them to her chest, refusing to allow them their pernicious desire, even thought her mouth was filling with saliva.
She fell to the tiles and wrapped her legs close to her chest and slowed her breathing. Time heals all. All you have to do is allow it. Kaley dug her head in her kneecaps and closed her eyes. All this was was a desire to fullfill unrealistic ideals of perfection and meet the demands of peer pressure. She was smarter than this. She was beautiful. Beautiful.
S
he sighed as apologal thoughts filled her mind and finally relaxed. Beautiful. The image of the dancer flashed in her head again and finally...she smiled.

[Sorry if its not all well placed ^^;]

"In the inchoation, we were a small race, only daring to travel a few lightyears away from home, but now - now, we are braver-" The guest speaker spoke loudly, his green atennae waving about excitedly on his head. Charlotte rolled her eyes as she listened halfheartedly to the green alien pontificate the painfully long apologal about the origins of this race of extra-terrestrials. She was only a human girl of eighteen, but still she didn't see the point of listening to this guy go on and on about a race that she hadn't even heard of until she started at E.T University.

"Hu-man tra-ash..." A sweet, high voice sang from behind Charlotte, and she scowled, turning to face the female Spherekin behind her, giving her a fierce look.

"Look, Quelm, I don't know what your problem is, but you need to quit being so bloody pernicious all the time to me. You're not better than me just because you are a bitchy Spherekin." She stated, her blue eyes flashing with dislike for the smug alien girl behind her. "And at least I'm more lissome than you - you cant even do a single backflip." She smirked, and turned back to the front to listen somewhat to the lecture.
