Rapunzel ―
Our story starts simple: a wet afternoon in a sheltered nook in the forest, where a lonely tower stood amidst overgrown bushes, with vines crawling along its faded red bricks; the river alongside it ebbing and flowing, sparkling underneath what little sunshine managed to break through the thick canopy of trees that surrounded it. It was quiet here, save for the soft sound of rain drumming against the tower roof and the chirping of the birds that had taken refuge in the trees.

All her life, Rapunzel had only known the Moving Tower and the different places she could see from her window. Nothing that Gothel said or did could ever sway her; she would still find herself watching the days flit by and the scenery change as they moved from one dimension to the next, wishing she could experience all of it for herself. She wondered how it would feel like to dip her toes into a clear river, to skitter along a muddy field, to swim around in a submerged city, to touch the passing clouds from a floating castle.

But her yearning was also mixed with fear. Everyday, Gothel made a point to remind her that escaping would mean losing her way forever, and there were many out there--men and women alike--who would not hesitate to kill her for a pretty penny. After all, she was heir to the throne and the throne had many who coveted it. Gothel had also promised that, one day, when the time was right and peace was restored in their own kingdom, she would reunite with her family and live the life they once had before the kingdom fell into war and ruins.
But first, she had to get ready.

>> Rumpelstiltskin <<
Once upon a time there was a kingdom with a beloved princess. She was sent far, far, away to spare her from the horrors of war. However, as the place was so far away the princess was never informed when the war was over. The result was that the princess never returned, and her loving parents tried everything to get her back.

One of the desperate methods the King and Queen employed was offering a wish to whoever brought back their precious. A wish, so valuable, it could be whatever the winner's heart so desired, except from more wishes. A chance many grabbed onto, including the main of this story.

Rumpelstiltskin never considered himself a hero of sorts. Far from it. He was aware of his many bad habits, and awful personality, along with his notorious reputation. He wasn't born Prince Charming, but at least he was born as handsome, and twice as smart. With a little bit of magic, and a ton of dedication, Rumpelstiltskin felt what was finally the end of his years long journey.

The little place oozed magic from all sides, reflecting how it had been enchanted by someone powerful to hide. What exactly, Rumpel couldn't tell, but that he had found something interesting, in a world void of magic otherwise, that was clear.

He noticed it as soon as he entered the place, peeking out of the window he saw a scenery different from the place where he entered. It was as if he had hopped dimensions, and that he was stuck in the waiting room. Except, he couldn't go back to where he came from. Frowning the male wondered what sort of sorcery that was, vowing to find out later as he started to explore. Perhaps there was more to the place than valuables, alone.
