Inuyasha saw his opportunity as Nakida was moved out of the way of the enemy. "Sisumi! Dodge!" He warned before lifting his sword and slashing as he called out, "Wind Scar!"

Sisumi used one of the other wolves as leverage, jumping away as Inuyasha's attack was called out. She looked behind her, confirming that the wolves were hit as they were no more.

Nakida's body was limp in Hideki's arms, her eyes opened and looked up at him, breathing heavily.

"They...cannot...be killed..." She rasped to the male twin.

Shadows of the trees flickered and the wolves seeped from them. Like nothing happened. Their eyes glowed red, teeth flashing in grins-- they were mocking these earth creatures now. Playing with them- this is the most fun they've had while being summoned to capture the wolf girl.

They shifted their gaze as their target moved away from them, running after Hideki-- even the one that Sisumi pulverized into the ground-- dodging the sparks and soon surrounding the male. Their mouths grinned insanely and they spoke in unison.

"You have something of ours..." Their combined voices sounded like what they looked-- grotesque, hellish, not of this world.

Nakida knew it was futile, they could not be killed but she could always run from them. It usually took longer time for them to manifest once more... but not tonight. The wolf woman whimpered in pain as she was jostled, at least she could still feel. Her legs were numb by now.

As the demonic wolves ran after Hideki with the injured Nakida still in his arms, Motoko decided to run after them. She spun around and went in their direction. Maybe there was a way she could get them from behind. They might not be able to be killed, but they might be able to be slowed down.

"Kina!" Motoko called to her younger sister. Kina started sped up, catching up to her elder sister rather quickly.

"Everything's gonna be okay, Nakida, you hear me?" Hideki said to her as he continued running from those who threatened her life.

"She doesn't belong to anyone, assholes!" he exclaimed before sprinting faster.

Inuyasha ran after them as well, noticing that Nakida was their sole target. His sword was still unsheathed and he slashed it from the side, aiming at one of the wolves as he called out. "Adamant Barrage!" Large crystal blades tore the wolf apart, allowing Hideki an opening to run with Nakida.

Sisumi ran after as well, the slowest of the bunch. Her fury helped her to gain speed before she leaped into the air and drop-kicked the wolf on Hideki's other side into the ground. Another crater was created.

The remaining wolf snickered, surely amused. He knew his brothers will return, it was only a matter of time. He continued lopping after the male twin, nipping at his heels.

"Ah, but we have come for her..." The wolf answered, his voice still sounding like the other two were still running after them.

Nakida shook her head. She needed to protect them. She wouldn't be able to get away from them this time. And she couldn't bare if her friends got hurt because of her... because of her father. She gazed back up at Hideki.

"Put.. me down..." She breathed out, the shadows around them flickered as the two other wolves began to reform.

Hideki ran faster and faster--as fast as he possibly could. No matter how quickly his feet moved, he wasn't as fast as Nakida and he knew he couldn't outrun them enough to get to safety. Still, he'd rather die than just give up. Besides...he kind of liked her.

Motoko threw various bits of electricity and water at the remaining hellhound in a weak attempt to help. Her confidence was low after she hurt Nakida and when her confidence was down, so was she. Her abilities were low and she didn't help much. Kina stepped up though. She ran ahead and even tried to combat the hellish wolf with her bare claws.

Hideki heard Nakida's feeble attempt to control the situation.

"Like hell," Hideki said, as if putting her down was even an option.

The remaining hellhound dodged the weak attempts, some water splattering on it causing his fur/skin to sizzle and burn. The wolf hissed, it's gallop faltering just enough to put some distance between it and Hideki. The wolf was caught in a fight with Kina and leaped at her to continue after Nakida.

The small victory was short lived as the other two materialized once more, easily catching up with the male twin.

They knew he wasn't as fast as Nakida, and knew they could easily overtake them. But what's the fun in that?

Nakida squirmed weakly at his denial of her request. The fact she was able to move at all was a miracle. She made a noise close to a whimper then turned her head to look for Inuyasha. If Hideki won't put her down then there was another way to rid of them...at least for a while longer.

"Meido Zangetsuha.." She murmured softly once she found him. Her voice was feeble and barely audible to even Hideki who was holding her.

Inuyasha continued to run after them, catching up bit by bit. He caught Nakida's gaze and watched her lips move. She was trying to tell him something but he couldn't hear her... His eyes narrowed as he tried to translate her mouth movements.

He stopped suddenly as it clicked. Meido Zangetsuha! Of course! He almost forgot tetsusaiga's newest ability. The dog positioned his sword and waited for the perfect timing to strike.

Nakida, still having trouble breathing, was relieved when she witnessed Inuyasha's realization and turned her head to look up at Hideki.

"Jump up...high...when..all three.. are surrounding..you..again." She whimpered out, pain shooting through her body once more.

Hideki couldn't hear her when she murmured. The broken wolf was chained by her own injuries and could hardly speak, but she managed to get her point across.

"Okay," Hideki said as she told him to jump when the hellhounds surrounded them.

He turned his head waiting for the demonic wolves to get closer. Kina was fought off by the one she attacked and Motoko noticed what Inuyasha had planned. Kina moved to get closer to her foe again, but Motoko called out to her, gesturing to Inuyasha. Kina stopped running. As soon as their enemies gained on Hideki and Nakida once more, Hideki warned her.

"The jump might hurt, Nakida," he said just before he leapt from the ground.

All three wolves were back in place. The delayed one having no trouble catching up once more. The demon hounds quickened their pace to surround their target, closing in for the taking.

"Ah!" Nakida squeaked in pain, which was more like a scream for her current situation.

Inuyasha smirked as everything was set into place. He lifted his sword as it turned as black as the night sky.

"Meido Zangetsuha!" His blade sliced the air, multiple crescent shapes of black sky slashed into the demon wolves, tearing apart and absorbing their bodies until there was nothing left. The hellhounds were transported to the Underworld, but they can be summoned again and they will be. They will return with vengeance.

Inuyasha sheathed his sword with a triumphant smirk.

Sisumi sighed in relief as that was over then ran over to Hideki and Nakida. "Nakida!"

Hideki let out a heavy breath of relief as he landed back to the ground without the company of those ...things. If they'd been there when he landed, Hideki and Nakida would have been done for.

As Sisumi raced to Nakida's side, Motoko and Kina caught up with the rest of the group.

"She needs a doctor," Hideki said to Sisumi.

Motoko gawked at Nakida--almost unable to believe someone so strong could be so powerless.

"What were those things?" Motoko asked, quite concerned. Not just for her safety but for her siblings' safety as well.

Nakida had her eyes closed in relief, her body already limp. The immediate danger was taken care of...for now. The she-wolf didn't know how long it would take for them to be on her trail again after their summoner realizes they lost her once more.

Her eyes opened at Sisumi's worried tone and she looked at her friend with as much of a smile as she could make. Her wounds were bleeding again from all the running around...well Hideki's running.

Sisumi didn't believe that smile. Nakida was bleeding even more. The cat was surprised she hadn't passed out from blood loss yet. She grabbed Nakida's hand and looked over her arm, seeing all the punctures from teeth.

Inuyasha made his way over but paused a bit away.

"Hellhounds..." Nakida rasped to answer Motoko's question. "They're after me... So if you... want to leave... I'll understand."
