Dakath bowed slightly "Yes Princess I will be watching you tonight" He said softly. He let her go ahead of him and escorted her to her chambers, once they reached the room she mentioned about bringing a small bed so he could sleep. He never really needed much sleep to do his work but it was nice of her to offer anyway. "Do not worry yourself I am fine standing here" he told her leaning against the wall.He liked how he trained himself to stay straight faced and eyes unmoving for fear that it may betray what he was thinking on the inside. He watched her as she set about doing some things in the room all the while thinking about how soft she had been and how he would have liked to bring her real close and......He stopped himself and began to show some interest in a nearby shelf that had her poultice's inside.A knock came to the door and Dakath had his blade ready and opened it slightly. "Speak'' he told the solider, it wasn't the King or the Prince's solider though, he was in different colors of Emerald green and flicks of red. "Who are you" Dakath asked him dangerously. The solider smiled "I am one of Prince Joegen's soldiers and I am here to take the Princess to him as he had summoned her." He explained. Dakath wasn't having it "No you may not, the princess is tired and wishes to sleep..." but he was cut off. "Prince Joegen wishes to have her Highness accompany him tonight..... if you wish you may stand out side the room but nothing more." The man said. Dakath grew angry but she was summoned and it was her decision. "My Princess...he said in a most miserable tone "You are summoned by Prince Joegen. It bothered him to even say that...he wanted to watch her all night but the prince would spread his filth on to her...he could do nothing.

He was surprised that she forgave him but he did see a hint of sadness in her eyes for the rest of the evening. He had to make it up to her. Kharis went around the small camp helping her put away any supplies and helped preserve meats and clean the area and feed the fire. When that was through he rested a moment still feeling shameful and saw that she had a few small bruises an cuts on herself. The Prince didn't know the first thing about healing wounds or anything to put on top of her cuts to help cover it from infection. But then he remembered Faelwen's boring speech about minor cuts and how to help it not get worse or infectious and less painful. He got up and looked around the grass until he spotted a bush and grabbed at the leaves and crushed it in a small bowl for a bit and put some water into it to make it liquidy. Afterward he stuck his hand into the remedy and walked toward Sanya "Show me your arms" he said to her and even though she tried to protest he ended up commanding it....so she did.He dabbed the sticky liquid on to her cuts an bruises and when he was finished he stood up straight again and walked to the carriage and pull out a roll out bed and laid it out for her. "Sleep here...I will sleep under this tree" he told her smiling. He sat under the tree, stretched and got comfortable "I am glad you are with me" he said sleepily "And I am sorry...." he dozed off.

Faelwen had simply set about straightening her desk, hoping that perhaps, if she were to sleep, she'd be able to coax Dakath into sleeping as well. Surely he didn't stay awake all night to watch her. Though the thought was soothing, she did see it as an inconvenience to him. Everyone needed sleep, even him. She was quickly organized for her work to be ready tomorrow morning. The princess had been about to change into a night gown when a knock sounded at the door. Something in her gut churned, this wouldn't be a simple visit she was sure. There was something bad about to happen. She stepped over as Dakath called to her. So a summoning to Joegen was it. The prince had made it very clear that he would possibly deal some damage if she did not cooperate, so what choice did she have? Dakath could become a target should he be angered. And the princess wouldn't have any of that. She nodded, and walked to peek through the gap from the open door. "Please allow me a few moments to get ready. I had just begun undressing, and would rather appear decent when I am to meet him."

She put a gentle hand on her side of the door to press it closed. Really, she had only gotten around to loosening the lacing at the back of the dress, so she wasn't technically indecent. However, being summoned by a man at this hour seemed to hint at a certain thought. Well, she would have none of that. She had so far been successful in saving herself for whomever her husband would be. There wouldn't be an easy way to coax her into anything. Besides, doing something of that nature with anyone other than....biting her lip, Fae cast a wary glance at the tall elf beside her. He wouldn't know her reasons for continuing to be with Joegen. He would simply think it as her fulfilling her duty. Bile rose in her throat as she thought of causing Dakath any harm. Her fingers quickly reached back to tighten the laces, with a small bit of difficulty. How could she explain how she felt to Dakath if she never had ample time to do so. Perhaps if she had a way to express herself...just a simple action. One came to mind, but how would it be interpreted? The back of her dress now being laced up, she looked up to Dakath, her eyes swimming with a silent plea to understand what she was about to do.

After another moment, Fae placed a soft hand on his shoulder and leaned closer. She only hesitated for a moment before closing the gap between their lips. She couldn't stand hiding this anymore. This was who she chose to share her first kiss with. If anything did happen with Joegen, at least she was able to give this to the proper person. Her face became flushed as she broke away. That had been the boldest move she'd ever made toward a man. After a few seconds to silently apologize for leaving, she opened the door to follow the guard away. Hopefully whatever the prince had in mind wasn't as bad as she was making it out to be. By the time she reached his door, her face had returned to the calm unchanged facade that she usually wore.

Sanya had resumed her work as Kharis helped. With any luck, by tomorrow morning, she would be back to her usual self. That would be the only way she could have him, as her master. Her mind vaguely registered that he was doing something rather odd by crushing leaves in a bowl. She didn't bother about that now though. It was a simple task to finish her clean up. There, now she could only hope that Kharis would sleep. He was suddenly beside her and demanding that she show her arms. At first, she took a step back, stunned at the now serious tone. Part of her was frightened. What was he going to do? She had asked to be punished, but what was he about to do? She was hesitant as she held out her arms. Slowly her fear ebbed away to astonishment. What was he doing? She knew, of course, but why was he doing this? He had soon finished, and then followed that action by pulling out a bed and ordering that she sleep on it. That bed had specifically been packed for him. "Kha-My lord....I cannot just take your own bed. I...I am not...I don't need it." She stuttered badly on, until he finally stated that he was glad she stayed. That made her quiet. He was just doing this for his own amusement right? Again her mind dragged up the wish of living with him as more than just a servant. But he'd just made it very clear that's all she was to him....and now he is saying things like this. She knew his mood had the tendency to swing a bit more than a normal person, but even this was a huge swing for him.

It took a few moments until she heard his breathing even out. At least he was sleeping, but she could do no such thing. Vigilance was key here, and she would remain alert to any dangers. Carefully she took the bowl with a small amount of the goop left in it. This she used for her other cuts that Kharis had thankfully skipped over. These on her legs and torso would have been a bit odd if he had suddenly started tending to those areas. The bowl was then rinsed and put away. Sanya sat down on the offered mattress, intent on remaining awake. She watched the prince sleeping, oh how she wished she could be there with him, in his arms. That was the place for a noble woman though. With a soft sigh, Sanya began the long process of once more burying her feelings. Tomorrow would shed light on the topic, she just needed to stay awake until then. Her body seemed to have another plan though, and it didn't take long for her to fall into a light cat nap, one that would potentially wake up if so much as a leaf rustled.

Dakath looked away allowing the Princess to work
on her laces and bodice. It was the kind thing to do since he would be by her side night and day now until Prince Kharis returned. He didn't like the arrangement....why was she summoned at this time if only too....to....if he was going to do something to her he thought to himself. He waited until she finished before deciding that he was going to have to be there un-noticed "Princess..." He began, she hand turned to face him though with eyes that could suck him in....his face felt hot "I need you to...." she leaned in closer "To...to....Princess...." he stammered like a blithering fool. She was so close to his face now....was she so bold? he thought, the answer was yes....she kissed him full on the lips and....he kissed her back, but before he could get blissfully into it she stopped and shyed away. He also felt very silly with his face burning hot and her hurrying to leave. He caught her by the arm before she went outside "Princess.....if it pleases you...when you go into the Prince's room please open a window....I will do the rest." He told her. It seemed she herd him but masked her face and left him standing in the open room as she followed Prince Joegen's Soldier to his room. When he was a lone he waited a few moment so no one would see him leave the castle and slipped outside. The moon was beginning to hang over head and stars were coming out, the scenery was beautiful although he didn't linger too long in the gardens. He pinpointed Joegen's window and looked around to make sure he was completely alone and then slowly he began to change. His hair began to change white and his feet were becoming talons and finally wings sprouted on his back.He took silently to the skies and perched on a rocky ledge near the window hoping to catch word of what was going on inside.

Joegen waited patiently for his Lady Princess to appear, he decided he would wow her by being spontaneous and romantic. He had fresh rose petals sprinkled onto the bed. He had incense burning in beautiful aromas and also a bunch of candles littered about the room.He wore a sleeping robe, a silky Emerald Garb that dragged on the floor and a little to big for him....he didn't care though and it didn't stop him from pacing around the room waiting for her while mumbling to himself. Finally his Guard came back and announced that she had arrived and showed her in his bed chambers."Hello Princess! how are you this evening?" he asked her politely kissing her fair hand and bowing to her slightly. "I thought you might want to relax with an old friend tonight rather then being bored in your room all alone." he said to her "I am glad you came though, I enjoyed speaking to you this afternoon I was hoping we can relax and talk here....even if you get tired you can retire in my bed if you wish"

Faelwen only gave a small nod to Dakath as he gave his instructions. Most of her mind was occupied with the thought that he had kissed her back. He hadn't been stunned to stillness as she had feared, nor did he refuse her kiss, so he must have some sort of feelings for her. These thoughts kept her mind light, she didn't need to worry over what happened with Joegen tonight. All that mattered was she had allowed Dakath to see her feelings for him, and he had shown some feelings back. Hopefully, if she were able to retire to her room, they may be able to kiss once more.....agh, what was she thinking? This wasn't something she needed to focus on. Right now it was important to see why Prince Joegen had asked for her at such an hour. She wished it would be something other than what had first come to mind.

The guard announced her presence, and Fae stepped into the bedchamber of the prince. The rose petals, candles, and incense all seemed to confirm her suspicion rather than deny it. Thank god she was still dressed in proper clothing for the daytime. Joegen however, was not. A small blush crept up to her face as she watched the prince stride closer and gently kiss her hand. She hadn't ever witnessed a man in only a sleeping robe...save her brother, but she didn't think that counted. She found her voice sticking to her throat, being unable to contain her nervousness. Her innocent eyes widened as he spoke of her using his bed to rest. A quivering hand was placed on her stomach as she tried to calm herself. Nothing good would come of this if she weren't able to speak and defend herself. Pulling herself together, the princess bowed back in return. "Forgive me, sire, but I left my bed clothes in my room, and I would rather not spend all night in another's bed. You must sleep as well." She stated this trying to imply that she hadn't even thought of them sharing the bed. Her face was still flushed. "I don't mind talking with you though, if you so desire my company. May a window be opened? I feel a little too warm for comfort at the moment...." The last request was a legitimate one, she did find herself uncomfortably warm. Was it the ideas that swam in her head at being enclosed in a man's room, or was it just her nervousness....she wasn't sure.

Joegen allowed her to open a window and when she did some of the candles he had lit blew out.He approached her from behind and placed his hands around her waist slowly but firmly. "Princess...." he whispered pulling her closely "You smell exquisite this evening...forgive me if I cannot resist you" he said to her. Joegen took one hand and tussled her hair with it lightly. Being so close to Faelwen reminded him of the days when they would run among the flowers and laugh together...though she wasn't laughing now, but he couldn't help it...the smell of her body and her soft skin made him think about when they were to be wed. Finally he let her go and stepped back some to allow her room "I have summoned you for another reason also my Princess" he said to her watching her closely. "The Dark Elves have attacked you and your brother and he believed they were after something but couldn't find it.....the body of the Dark Elf king is still encased below the castle yet I saw nothing amiss down there....I am still researching this but there is something that might be of help in answering some of these questions. I read a book this evening before summoning you and it talked about an ancient stone...a Trinity stone if you will...harnesses great power and if used by the Dark Elves it can be the end of us all.The thing is Princess the three parts to the stone are hidden...hidden in this country I am willing to bet and the only person who would know about its whereabouts is your Father." He stopped for a moment to see if she had wavered and continued "Tomorrow when my people arrive I will be commencing a search for this stone and I vow to keep it the wrong hands and when I do Princess...that is when your brother comes home and that is when we will get married." His face turned into a wicked grin "Now....lay with me"

Dakath sat by the open window and listened to every word.He couldn't tell if Joegen was being sincere or not.It seemed like he had good intentions in the end though he seemed like he was a little crazy though. What could he do? the prince vowed to make sure things would be ok....that was what she deserved not some dark hair Guardian Elf who swore an Oath to protect her with his life and nothing more...he should no harbor any feelings for the Princess and thus doing his Job perfectly. If he was going to make this work he would have to be on Joegen's side, it was in the best interest for Faelwen in the end. As Dakath listened he thought about the Trinity stone....he had herd of that somewhere before but just wasn't sure where but it seemed more real as Joegen explained it to her. He would help find it with them he thought to himself. Finally Joegen was at it again pulling her close and asking her to lay with him....he turned away and closed his eyes....he couldn't interfere. The first time he saw them close by the window when she had opened it he was going to run his sword through him no questions asked but he had stopped and launched into the Trinity stone story and Dakath got caught up. This time was different... she needed Joegen more then she needed him, so he jumped from the ledge and flapped his big wings to the top of the roof and sat there staring up at the full moon.

Kharis woke in the middle of the night. He had a cheerful dream so he woke cheerful as well and busied himself lowering his pants to let loose a stream. He hummed a small tune when he realized Sanya was sleeping close by! He finished quickly and felt a little embarrassed though she didn't seem to notice what he did and did not stir. "She must have been very tired" he whispered walking towards her and kneeling down to look at her sleeping face. Remarkable.....he thought smiling down at her. She had very womanly features about her still and the scars and bruises were practically melting away...she would be as good as new....but why had she suffered the blows and not him? yes...she was his Guardian but he was supposed to be a man too and protect women and children.....well that was the princely thing to do anyway. He stood up and walked to the carriage and pulled out a bit of meat and started eating. He thought about the conversation they had earlier in the day about ever loving some one and it made him sad...thinking about her made his heart ache and messed with his mind making him unable to focus.Only one woman could do that to him but his father kept telling him to move on.....Kharis slumped onto the ground dropping his meat and held his head between his hands. Why did he think of her? why was it now? he asked quietly as his body began to shake and tears began to stream down his face.

A wave of relief washed over her as Joegen permitted her to open a window. As she did her eyes searched for the dark hair of her guard, come to think of it she didn't know any of his animal forms. That may be for the best, she wasn't sure what she would have done if she caught sight of him. Her eyes looked up at the rising moon. That's when she felt a pair of hands encircling her waist and pulling her close. Fae gulped as warm breath fanned her neck. Her heart pounded against her chest as her eyes widened. She tensed, not entirely comfortable with being trapped so close to him. It was comfortable....and nice...but this was Joegen, a childhood friend. She just couldn't think of him in a romantic way. It was only a political move for them to marry, and it was likely to happen if she wasn't able to tell her father who she really loved. It saddened her to think that. She'd forever be separate from Dakath, and he'd most likely always be near. Fae had to bite back tears at that thought. It became easier as Joegen suddenly switched topics.

A trinity stone...that wasn't real was it? She'd heard stories of it before, but never thought it were real. If that was the case....was the secret her mother passed down to her also true? If that were the case, Fae may hold the knowledge of the location of one of the trinity stone pieces. Something about the way Joegen worded it made her hesitant to say anything. She would just find the piece herself and keep it close. Again a small wave of sadness swept over her as the prince mentioned their marriage. Would she be subjected to that? Could she live with another man knowing she loved another? Her thoughts froze as he ordered her to lay with him. She found herself speeches yet again for a moment. It took much less time to recover this time though. "I'm sorry, Joegen. I have made the decision to save myself until marriage, please don't ask me to break that vow to my mother." Yes, it had been an idea instilled in her by the late queen. It had been a hard decision for her, but one she wished to stand by. Even if she were to marry Joegen soon, perhaps something would happen that would allow her to choose Dakath. How could she live with herself if she gave her virginity to a man whom she didn't spend the rest of her life with. "I beg you, Sire...Please allow me to sleep alone in my own room." Her request was quiet and pleading. She was slightly frightened, what if she angered him? What would he do then?

Sanya sighed softly as an odd sound woke her. Even in her sleepy state, her mind soon processed what the sound was. A soft blush crept over her face as she remained as she was. Through a force of will she remained perfectly still, and apparently the prince thought she was still sleeping. The she-elf could feel his steps getting closer, it was hard to remain this way, but waking now wouldn't help anything. Perhaps he was disappointed that she had fallen asleep? Despair filled her as she thought he had been disappointed in her. Her worry lifted as he walked away, at least he wasn't angry enough to wake her or something else. She heard him sink to the ground, no! Had someone harmed him?! Had she not heard an archer or assassin? Her eyes flew open as a dagger was quickly drawn when she sat up to look around. Kharis was nearby, unharmed, and...crying? Sanya felt a piece of her break at the sight. Was she that much of a disappointment? Had she caused his tears? Putting her dagger away, Sanya walked over and quietly knelt in front of him. She noticed the meat that had been dropped on the ground. Kharis never wasted food...whatever this was, it was serious. One hand reached out for him, but was quickly pulled back. He'd told her earlier to not touch him. So instead she folded her hands in her lap, and crouched lower, trying to look into his eyes. "My Prince...what's wrong? Please, if it's anything that I've done....I sincerely ask for your forgiveness. Please don't cry. Is there something you wish? I'll do anything...." Her voice was soft, a little unsure. What if he would be angry at her again? But then why would he cry? Her own eyed brimmed with tears as she thought about how much she really cared for him. It was true, she would do anything to make him happy again.

Joegen thought about it a moment and grinned...."so you would like to save yourself for your marriage bed I see...Not many She-Elf's are like you Princess....alas....I was not asking you to do anything with me but to sleep by my side....If you wish though to sleep on your own until such time as our Marriage is complete then I shall allow you to do so...Please get some rest my love....and I will expect you at breakfast." He told her bowing and opening the door for her to leave. At the very least he told her what he wanted to say and she now could think on that slowly. When she had left he blew out the remainder of the candles and sat on his bed.It was getting late and he was very tired, tomorrow would be an eventful day he hoped.

Dakath layed on the roof for a long while before deciding to check the room again. He peered inside and saw Joegen asleep with one candle lit by his bed. Was she in there? he wondered, it was hard to see and the bedding was lumpy so he wasn't so sure, so he stepped in quietly and crept by the bed side and to his happiness she wasn't laying with him. He stepped back and flew out of the window again in a good mood and headed to her room. Her door was closed so he knocked on it in a certain way she would know. "Princess....may I come in?" he asked getting ready to face her mentally.

Kharis heard her through the pain in his head. She was concerned for him....but why? "Sanya...." he croaked "I...Iam sorry forgive me for creating a scene..." he managed to say. His throat tightened as he spoke....the image if her face stuck in his head and blurred his vision again and he fell to a heap on the floor this time in agony. How long had he gone without doing this? and all of a sudden on this night it had to resurface. "You...did.....Nothing...." he tried to tell her. She looked so hurt and worried for him it made him feel sick and finally he stumbled on his feet "Do not follow me" he said and walked stumbling to the carriage and slipped inside and out of sight of poor Sanya. He felt ashamed to show her such a state and knew that it would just worry her in the long run...but then again...perhaps he should open up with someone.......perhaps....when daylight came. When Kharis peered through the drapes in the carriage he watched Sanya staring at where he had fallen...he sighed and when he was sure she wasn't going to follow he fell asleep until morning.

Faelwen was instantly embarrassed as Joegen explained the innocence of his request. As children they had often slept in the same room, on occasion even huddling together under the covers. She felt a little guilty about drawing this line now, but they were a little old for such things....even if she were to simply lay with him, her image would be smeared. Rumors would float around, and those rumors would claim things that hadn't happened. No, she wouldn't do that. She bid him goodnight, and left, striding quickly down the hall back to her own room. It was dark when she arrived, signalling Dakath wasn't here waiting for her. Somehow that hurt. She wanted to see him again...ah! If he were staying here, he needed a cot to sleep on. Maybe she could just get a spare blanket for him. No servants were around at this time to carry a cot for her. She quickly strode to her wardrobe to pull out a wool blanket and took two pillows from her bed. These she used to neatly set up a sort of sleeping area on the floor. With that being finished, Faelwen saw no reason to remain in her day clothes, and used the privacy of no one here to change. A satin robe was pulled over top her night gown and fastened shut with a matching white satin belt.

Shortly after she finished changing, a knock echoed through her room. She crossed over to the door to hear Dakath's quiet request to enter. She blushed softly, knowing she would have to face the penalty for surprising him with a kiss. Perhaps she shouldn't have done it...but he had kissed back, so the feeling was mutual, right? She slowly opened the door, holding the two sides of the robe closer together to prevent anything indecent to show. Hah. What was she thinking about? Being in her night clothes with a man in the room was indecent enough. Her face grew a little hotter as she closed the door behind him. "Thank you, Dakath...for being there for me." It seemed appropriate to say, he'd been her loyal shadow through so much. Even now, he was protecting her. Her mind flickered back to the kiss they shared. She wanted another....

Sanya was truly worried for him. What was going on? She wanted to reach out, to hold him against her....to...to make his pain and tears go away. She stared out into the darkness, praying to the stars that she could take his pain away, even if it killed her. She heard him struggle to stand, and stayed where she was as he had commanded her. Tears fell down her cheeks as she looked at the ground. She placed and hand on the warm earth that had been a support for his body. Slowly her fingers traced patterns over the empty space that had once held him. Her tears watered the dirt. Her feelings just wouldn't go away, would they? This was her fate, to always remember and never have. After a long while of just staring at the ground, Sanya eased herself to lay down next to the area the prince had once occupied. Her hands reached out for the space as her eyelids fluttered shut. Dried tears would be found on her face in the morning, but she didn't care. Her prince was hurting, her master was in pain, and she could do nothing to help. Again, light sleep took her as she laid there, imagining that Kharis were still beside her. The first light of morning would wake her....perhaps the dawn would bring him peace.

He bowed once she let him in, he couldn't truly look at her face now since they were alone. It struck him that she had so boldly kissed him earlier and he kissed her back.He shifted a little nervous but tried to keep a straight face "Princess....about earlier....I...we....What were we thinking....before" he stammered clumsily forming words. "we cannot do that again...even if you have a shred of feelings for me" he told her wishing he hadn't said it like that. "We cannot risk your safety and your status Princess....do you understand?" he asked as he waited quietly in the dark room. He noticed she had a sort of makeshift bed on the floor laid out for him, she always was kind to him but he must not lead her to believe anything that would turn her away from her Prince. "Princess...I do not see you as nothing more then my Master....I will do all that you ask except....except..." He felt very foolish now "Good night Princess" he finished, bowed and left the room to stand Guard outside. He had blown it big time and when the sun came up he had to awaken her to have breakfast....it was going to be a long and perhaps awkward day today.

The sun burned bright that morning making him feel like he was baking in the Carriage. Kharis got up feeling sweaty and called for his robes....Opened his eyes and realized he wasn't at the castle and laughed at himself. He stretched and got out to face the day, Sanya was already bustling about making breakfast. He strode over to her cheerfully "Morning....um... how are you feeling today?" he asked her in concerned voice. "I am sorry for last night...I umm...thought of someone and it kind of messed with my mind" He sat down beside her now and watched her cook the food "As long as your ok I am ok" he smiled again at her. When the food was ready he took it with his bare hands as usual and scarfed it down as if he hadn't eaten in years. He helped her put away their things and finally they set off again. The headed deep into the forest further an further and he kept silent not really knowing what to say to her after the events of yesterday when suddenly they came across a very small village. It was early in the morning so no one was awake save for a very beautiful young Elf pulling water from a well. Kharis froze stunned.

Faelwen could hear the hezitation in his voice, she knew what was coming, but she didn't want to hear it. She had so much more that just a 'shred of feelings' for him. He was life to her, a reason for her to keep going, a reason to continue her research. Safety and status didn't matter, not to her....not anymore. Tears pricked her eyes as she nodded. Yes, she understood the reason. He walked a few steps away before pausing. Her stomach seemed to drop as his next words were out of his mouth, her heart shattered when he walked out the door. She collapsed in a heap on the floor, what had she done? Of course he would never see her like that. She thought this, but her heart refused to believe it. Her sobs made her body shiver and shake, expending all the pain and energy in a good cry out.

The light of dawn peeked through her windows, waking the princess up. She must have cried herself to sleep last night. The last time she did that was when her mother died. Fragments of memory from last night plagued her mind. Her duty was to marry a prince....that was the reason she was born. Her eyes were devoid of emotion now, there was no need to cry or feel any pain. She had been raised for this from birth...now she had paid the price of loosing her heart to a man who wasn't able to return her feelings. Fae mechanically moved around her room, setting the spare blanket and pillows on her bed, and pulling out a dress for the day. It was a light grey gown with a black sash. Not exactly mourners clothing, but as close as she could get without being questioned. She brushed her hair out and washed the tear stains from her face. Her duty would be to her kingdom....but her heart and emotions remained well outside her. She wouldn't cry over something that should never have been. Faelwen slowly opened her door, and stepped outside. Dakath was already awake, and looked as if he were about to get her up. She didn't even glance at him as she strode off to the dining room.

Sanya looked up as the prince stepped out of the carriage. Relief flooded her as she saw he was doing much better. With a small smile she handed him a plate of food and replied, "Much better thank you....my wounds have nearly all disappeared. I'm glad to see you're doing better, my Prince." She was still concerned about him, but decided to leave it be. Perhaps in time he would open up to her. Breakfast was eaten and the remains put away. They were soon on their way once more. A small smile lit her face as they entered a small town, this reminded her of her home. It was a poor area here, mainly farmers. The she-elf was there drawing water, even when it was early in the day. Sanya glanced over at the prince to find him in stunned silence. "Sire...is something the matter?" she questioned, looking between him and the elf at the well.

Dakath was feeling very shameful when she opened the door and literally passed him with out so much as a glance. He followed her anyways to the dinning room where Prince Joegen was just walking in as well. His eyes lit up when he saw her coming to sit down and it made Dakath slightly jealous,he said nothing though as he took his position in the corner of the room watching the food come out and being set on the table before them. It was no surprise that she wouldn't speak to him...after what he said last night he didn't deserve to converse with her anyways. He sighed heavily and averted his eyes somewhere else for a bit.

"Princess..."Joegen smiled at her after sipping his drink "My men have come from my home kingdom especially to help us here and I am pleased to inform you that I have news of this fabled Trinity stone..." He was in a very good mood this morning since his men had filled the Castle. The hallways and Gardens, rooms and streets were filled with his men, they wore Emrald green like their Prince and there was so many it looked as if the Castle were his. "Allow me to Introduce my men...they are in your service and will do anything you ask of them." A couple of his men nearby bowed respectfully. The rest of the breakfast was relatively quiet and when they had finished Joegen cleaned his mouth delicately with a napkin and spoke again "According to the research done the Trinity stone is actually three stones which make up one when put together. It has a lot of power but in one of the scrolls written about it there is one clue we managed to find out....it had said who ever possess the parts of the stone would never know but they can be seen.Abnormal Black hair =Stone of power
immeasurable healing powers and a pure heart= Stone of Wisdom and a fighting spirit= Stone of Courage."

Joegen finished naming them off on his fingers "These clues were left behind for anyone seeking the users of the stones, though....the users themselves wouldn't know it." He waited patiently to see what Faelwen would say, after all it was a lot to take in.He looked up from the table for a moment and immediately felt a shock go through his spine. Dakath...her servant boy was leaning on the wall fixated on looking outside but his hair....his hair was pitch black....that wasn't a normal color for an Elf...but then again they had just disregarded him as an outcast anyway...just an abnormal Elfboy. Joegen pondered a moment....maybe it was just coincidence....and maybe not."Princess tell me a little about your...servant boy" he said to her.

Kharis grew red in the face and turned his face elsewhere when Sanya spoke to him. "Nothing no..." he replied feeling silly. "Listen...While we are out here in front of other people please just call me Khai, we do not want unexpected visitors following us or anything, just Khai and no sire, or Prince ok?" he pleaded. They walked towards the She-Elf who smiled at them both "Hello there may I help you young Travelers?" she asked. Kharis straightened up "We are looking for a sort of Orcle...an old Geezer type person...with saggy skin and barely any teeth...." he went on to say "He should be sooo old that he can only eat mush and yells at children to get off his side of the grass." The She-Elf was stunned "That would be my grandfather..." she said in a disbelieving tone of voice. Kharis went red in the face again "Oh" The girl looked them both over and turned her back to them and walked towards the village "This way stupid" she called. Kharis looked at Sanya "Whoops"

Faelwen found it hard to remain so upset. His reasoning was clear, and she understood why....but it still hurt. She couldn't think of a way to heal this discomfort without it involving Dakath. She had made the first move that time, perhaps it had been wrong of her, they just needed to find a time when they agreed. She managed a bright smile as she entered the dining hall. She seated herself, making a mental note of where Dakath was standing. She would try her best to make it clear that she wasn't going to speak to him without him forcefully attracting her attention. Perhaps if he just did that...maybe she could accept him as a friend once more. Oh, why did she have to ruin the moment.

Her mind only half listened to Joegen as he went about explaining the extra guards and the trinity stone. She only found her attention caught when he began mentioning qualities of elves that possessed the stones. Black hair. Her eyes flicked over to Dakath, her heart hammered against her chest. Please....please don't let this get him hurt...let Joegen not notice. She wasn't sure what she would do if something happened to Dakath. Even now she still cared, even if he didn't. She would never wish harm to come to him. She made sure her eyes flew back to Joegen without him noticing she had been looking longingly at the dark haired elf. If only he saw her in the same way she saw him... Her mind soon focused on the task of possibly keeping the trinity stones out of the prince's hands. "If the possesser is unaware of the stone....how do we retrieve it? Was that stated in the scrolls? And how would we know for sure that a certain elf possess's such a thing?" If she knew these perhaps she could keep Dakath out of harms way.

Joegen noticed though, and questioned her. Faelwen did her best to remain calm and collected. Inside she was panicking. What if the death of the user was required to get the stone? She couldn't let that happen. "I'm not sure what you mean. I know very little about him myself. Only that he has sworn to protect me to the best of his abilities. I'm not sure of anything about before he became my guard." And thank the stars for that. Hopefully it would be left at that.

What was that all about, just now? Sanya pondered this as she listened to his reply. Why was he red in the face? The prince wasn't usually one to get this flustered over something...that was her job. She found herself wondering if she should use such a name for him, it seemed to contradict everything she had been taught, even if it was a false name. A shy smile was present on her face as Kharis spoke with the woman. Well, this girl was certainly pretty....perhaps the prince preferred this type of woman. One that was useful and beautiful. Either way, it seemed that they had offended her in a way. A giggle escaped past her lips when Kharis again blushed. She was still regaining control of her laughter when they had followed the she-elf. What would this old man be like? And what would he say? Sanya decided then that she would remain in the background, as a sort of personal servant of his, rather than the formal guard thing.

Joegen studied her for a long while before deciding she most likely didn't know anything about him. "Fine I guess that makes sense...he is just a lowly servant I suppose." He stretched his arms and drank some herbal tea before answering her question though "It is very difficult to acquire any writings on the trinity stone how ever when my men did come across some information I am afraid it just told me what I told you earlier nothing more" he decided he wouldn't tell her the process in how to extract it from a user, in case he had to take care of her servant she cared so much about. "Well Princess that is all....I must leave now thank you for accompanying me for breakfast" he bowed to her and kissed her on her cheek before leaving. He left with some of his men and went strait to his room making sure no one had followed. "On the sixth floor below me lies the one known as the Dark Elf King" he told his soldiers "He is encased in a barrier....you know what to do but do it discreetly"
They left him immediately and he was alone in his room once more, he thought about how he was going to get Dakath alone again and devised a plan.

Dakath watched them speak a while not really interested in anything they were saying and when Faelwen peered over at him he averted his gaze back outside and focused on the trees. When they had finished the Prince and his lackeys left the room leaving the princess and some of her house hold men and women to clean up. He approached her from behind reluctant to say anything but tried to act as normal as he could "Princess will you be gathering herbs today? or will you be going to the market?" he asked her in hopes she would answer him.

Kharis followed behind the little Elf-girl and they reached a small lil home close by. The girl led them both in the house to which Kharis was confused "where is the dinning hall? where is the ball room?" then he laughed out loud "Oh I get it this is the Kitchen" he said gleefully. The She-Elf gave him a dirty look "This whole place is my home....not a kitchen! who are you anyway? you speak like a rich boy" she said to him. "My name is Khai and this is Sanya who is my partner, we just travel the world from distant lands...." he began but he was cut off "He lies" a feeble voice came from the next room. An old man wobbled into view with a wooden walking stick and thick grey hair and smelling like old cheese. The She-Elf helped him into a seat across from them so the old man could see them better. "You are the son of the High King...Prince Kharis..." The old man said quietly. The she-Elf was shocked out of her mind "Oh my gosh! I called you stupid...oh your Majesty....your Grace...my Prince...I never meant what I said I....I didn't know..." she bowed so deep her long braid touched the floor.
"That's no problem! I don't act nor dress like a prince and Ive cut my hair....its easy to mistake me for some hooligan" Kharis laughed. The girl from then on kept bringing him food and never let him have an empty cup, once in a while she would fill Sanya's but she began to fawn over the Prince more now.

The old Man eye'd Sanya for a long while before turning to Kharis. "I know why you have come...but you are in grave danger"

Faelwen found herself more engrossed in the conversation than any sort of food. The assortment of berries was left untouched and her muffin was only half eaten. Her tea though had to be refilled a couple times. She found the warm drink calmed her enough to think properly of the situation. Something about the way Joegen conveniently ended the conversation after her questions made her think there was more to what he was saying. It seemed if she wanted answers she would need to get them herself. Out of habit, when Joegen kissed her cheek, she quickly returned the favor before he left. Habits formed as a child were hard to ignore. She soon returned to eating, but only finished the muffin. There had to be a way to keep Dakath out of harms way, she had suspected Joegen may have been responsible in some way to his disappearance last time. Not that Dakath couldn't defend himself, but she had to find a way to surpass the authority Joegen held over him. It took her a moment before she recognized the guard's question to her.

The princess blushed slightly when she recognized his voice, so soft, inviting. She loved the way he spoke, it held a slight purr to it...as if his animal form was finding a way out. In responce Faelwen stood, and addressed the head server. "Tell the cook to prepare a basket lunch for the two of us. And get the stable boys to prepare our horses. I will be leaving in a few moments." The server nodded, and soon left. Now...she needed to find someone who could get information for her. Turning toward the door, she waved Dakath to follow her. "Dakath.....if you will still submit yourself to my orders, I wish that you not leave my side for the entire course of the day." This was for her protection as well as his. Especially where she was headed. Her mother had mentioned the Trinity stone before passing on. Faelwen could remember her words, 'Seek out the castle wizard, Orion. He will have any answers you seek. But be careful, my child, the place he is is very dangerous. Go down to the slums, and find the Shepard's Inn. He disguises himself as an aged sailor who works as a bartender. Give him this charm, and he will answer your questions.' Faelwen only had to retrieve the charm from her room. It was the size and color of a gold coin, but in the shape of a dragon's head. The showing eye was a small ruby that sparkled in the light. On the back was engraved the name Orion in the ancient tongue.

Sanya found herself wishing she were able to clap her hand over the prince's mouth. Was that how he really thought? Did he really not know how the people lived? It was sad to think that, surely his education would have included something to the effect that nobles and common folk lived very different lives. She found herself highly uncomfortable with the lies. If he didn't want his presence known, she would have been able to cover for him. It was too late for that though, the old oracle had emerged and identified the prince. The she-elf's sudden attitude change made Sanya a little uncomfortable. One should be polite to all people regardless of rank, but she couldn't blame the girl. After refocusing on the oracle, Sanya had found him staring right at her. She jumped a little, startled by the intense gaze. Unconsciously, she raised a hand to touch her smooth skin, searching for dirt or some other item to be stuck on her face. She remained quiet, allowing the prince to talk. Hopefully their answers would be found here.

Dakath met her eyes "Yes of course I wont leave your side...no matter what Princess" He told her and followed her back to her room...It looked like she wanted something their before they left the castle. He waited out side her room while she went to gather her things and took a small band from his hair and pulled it out letting the long pony tail come loose. He ran a hand through his hair quickly to pull out the tangles and while he did so he spotted a young Elf maid making her way down the hall with fresh vegetables for the kitchen's. "You there" he called, the girl turned around "Yes sir?" she asked politely "Can...Can you braid hair?" he asked. "I am taking the Princess out of the Castle today but I would like to have my Hair braided before we head out, but I'm not very good..." He scratched his head sheepishly. The kind maid put down her veggies "Yes actually I am very good." She claimed and went over to him, she combed through his hair with her own hands and began to braid from the top. "Your hair is unlike any other" she said quietly "Its as black as Ink....do your Parents have Dark hair too?" she asked curiously. Dakath shook his head slowly "No they do not....just me...I know I was never a normal kid but it did bother me about my hair color" Dakath confessed. "The kind Elf girl smiled "I love it, it is unique and think about if you get lost in a crowd the Princess will always find you!" Dakath never thought of that. The girl finished his long braid and took his hair band and tied the bottom tightly. By the then the Princess was out, he wasn't sure how long she was there but he stood up from the floor immediately and the little maid bowed respectfully. "If i may take your leave princess I have vegetables for the kitchen" she stumbled on her words. Then she scooped up her basket and was about to run off when Dakath called "What is your name Little one?" he asked. That was different of him, he never cared for anyone's name in the castle but this time he was curious. "It's Alena" she called back and ran to the kitchens.

The princess looked ready and as usual beautiful. "Beautiful" spilled out of his mouth before he could stop himself, his face went hot as he bowed "Princess! I meant to say Princess! this way to the stable..." he stumbled. What in the heck had he done? he thought wanting to take his swords and stab himself if only to disappear from the world. He lead her anyways to the horses which were saddled and ready and a lunch basket was brought out for Dakath's horse to carry. When they were ready he made his horse follow side by side with her."My Princess....I am sorry about last night" he blurted.

Kharis crossed his arms impatiently "Yes yes I know I'm in danger...that's every day of my life who cares? I came to understand about something...the dark elves are after something called the trinity stone, where is it? what is it? and how do I protect it?" he asked. The old man coughed some more "You little brat! you think you know everything! how am I supposed to know where it is?" Kharis laughed "Your an Oracle your supposed to know everything" The old man watched him a moment before responding "I can only tell you what it is....I have no Idea where the stone is hidden it could be hidden in a place or in a body...it depends on where the High King thought it most safe." Kharis blinked in disbelief "My father knows?" he asked bitterly "Fine what is this trinity stone?" The old man Launched into a short explanation as to what was written in the scrolls which didn't help Kharis much at all. "Well we know one thing...the stone of wisdom has got to be inside me..." The old man took his walking stick and struck him over the head with it. "OW! YOU OLD FART THAT HURT" The she-Elf giggled and the old man crossed his arms "You are far from home...why don't you go back?" he asked calmly. Kharis was ready for that question though "My father is still missing and I know the Dark elves are responsible.... I have to find him" He stood up "Thank you for the information I plan on finding these stones and if what you say is true then maybe they really are safe" He bowed respectfully and went outside "Sanya come on" he shouted.

"Girl" the old man said before Sanya could get too far "Be careful out there...your life is just as valuable....He will be a great King one day and you will be great one day as well...do not throw your life away so easily....be on your way now and feel free to replenish your food from my gardens."
When Sanya finally came up beside him Kharis already staring off over a distant hill. It was dark over there and it was slowly getting closer to the village. "Rain maybe?" he thought out loud. but the darkness was coming too fast for rain clouds. "It can't be....Dark Elves?" he shouted.

Faelwen was glad that Dakath had remained outside as she retrieved the charm. So far her possession of the wizard's charm had been a secret between herself and the late queen. For some reason, the Queen had been rather insistent that her daughter memorize the location of Orion, and what to say to him. Had her mother known something like this would happen? Faelwen had been about to head out when she passed her mirror. Her eyes were drawn to the refection shown...she'd been told she resembled the queen, but she still couldn't see her mother in her eyes. Ah, wait, she needed to change, and leave her crown. It wouldn't be good to publicize her identity, that would only invite trouble. Setting the charm back on her vanity, Faelwen quickly changed into a simpler gown meant for traveling. From her wardrobe she also pulled out a weathered cloak that was once a pale blue. Taking two pins and a leather strap, Faelwen quickly twisted her hair up to keep it hidden when she had her hood up. South of here it was common to see an elf with hair as light as her own, but here very few bore this color. Finally she was finished, and placed her diadem on the vanity top before snatching up the charm. Before she left, the charm was tucked into her bodice to keep it hidden from view.

She stepped out of her room just in time to see Dakath allowing a maid to braid his gorgeous hair. The princess had always wanted the privilege to trail her fingers through such dark locks, but here was a simple maid casually braiding the man's hair. A small lump rose in her throat as she was reminded of his words last night. Jealousy ran through her at that moment, but this girl was still a child. Her eyes darted away and rested on the floor, unable to bear the guilt she had at feeling this way. Dakath wasn't hers to control in any way, and it shouldn't matter who he allows close to him. That's was ate at her mind, that she did want that ability to claim him as her special one, and to be his special one. The wait seemed tortuous, each second was pushing her to break down and wallow in this feeling of sadness and pain. Fae didn't trust her voice when the maid finished and hurried away, so she just nodded and forced a smile. She couldn't let this show, her one weakness, the man standing in front of her. With a deep breath she was ready to continue, but Dakath had turned to her and said just one word.

Beautiful.

Her feet wouldn't move. She froze. Faelwen could only stand there with wide eyes, purely in shock of that one word. She wasn't wearing anything special, she had even taken measures to make herself more plain. And he just called her beautiful. Joy bubbled up through that feeling of unwant. A true smile lit up her face and made her eyes sparkle. By this time, Dakath had tried to cover up his word and was off toward the stables. The princess practically skipped beside him, her worries and anger earlier today forgotten. Everything was ready for them, and with the help of the stable boys, Faelwen mounted the horse and got situated in a side saddle position. She headed off toward town, taking a road that looped around the market area and noble section. This would take them to the lower area, one that would be for the very poor. Faelwen had expected a quiet ride, but after they left the castle gates, Dakath broke the silence with an apology. She wasn't sure what to say at first, again slightly shocked that he was being so talkative. The small amount of bitterness toward him though warped her answer. "I'm not sure I understand. Why would you apologize for simply reminding me of my position and duty to my crown?" She did want to know, but hadn't been able to word this question any better.

Sanya found the entire conversation rather entertaining. She had been wanting to see Kharis back to his old behavior and here it was in force. She giggled along with the she-elf, unable to contain her bit of joy at seeing the prince so animated over this topic. It made her almost forget his behavior over the past couple days. The blood-thirst, the anger, and the tears, all of it seemed to be some sort of bad dream. Here the air was cleaner, she didn't need to worry about her place, here she was equal with the prince, though still his servant girl. Soon she was reminded that the prince was leaving by a sharp call of her name. However, the elder called her as well making her stay. She smiled and gave a nod to the elder. "Thank you Oracle, I will not forget your words." And now she was off to find Kharis. It wasn't too long before she caught up and noticed him watching a dark cloud come near.

"My prince, I think it would be safer if we head back to the carriage. It is far to open here to defend ourselves." She wanted to pull him away, to somehow take him to safety. She couldn't bear the thought of Kharis being wounded while she was unable to do anything. Her stomach churned with the anticipation of battle. She had to be sure he got out of this. Your life is just as valuable. The oracle's words were still unclear, but she did know that both her and the prince would need to survive this. It wouldn't do him any good if she died.....she had to live. This thought spurred a fire in her, one that could possibly have made her a more dangerous foe to tamper with.

"I still must apologize for my behavior....." he said sternly,he could see she was expecting more but he couldn't say more so he turned away from her. She took him further on into the town and deep into the poorer area of the kingdom. What was she going to find here? he wondered looking around. Some children were at play, some merchants were trying to sell foods and there was a bar which had a lot of people in it drinking an yelling songs. But no matter where he looked he didn't see any places which sold herbs of any kind...maybe she had come for something else but it was just his sole duty to follow her where ever she went. "I do not mean to be rude Princess but...where are we going....this place is no place for you and you should know thieves and bad people leave around here..." he whispered to her after a while.

Kharis whipped around "we cannot leave the entire village at their mercy...that old geezer sure as hell can't fight and the little girl in there wont stand a chance....you seen some of the villagers here...simple farm Elves....I can't leave..." He told her. He took out his blades now facing the cloud. He can see them coming down the large hill now, a lot of dark elves running towards them "I wan't you to warn the people and see if you can get them away from here...while I hold them off" he told her hoping she would just obey him.He turned toward them and ran ahead "Catch up when they are gone!" he called. The first Elf he ran his sword through pretty quickly but another took a jab at his head and he dodged it and kicked him in the chest.Another one kicked him from behind and it caught Kharis off Guard and he tumbled to the ground and had to roll out of the way of a spear aim at his throat. He punched an Elf that was too close and stabbed another but they were closing in on him from all sides. It was getting harder until he noticed one of them breaking from the group....He could see Sanya speeding towards them like a bullet, she must have told the villagers to flee, he thought relieved. One by one the Elves broke from the circle to attack the on coming Sanya. Kharis bit his lip...could they both handle so many elves at once? or should he change...

Faelwen was a little disappointed by his answer, but what had she been hoping for? That he would just turn around and say that he didn't care what he had said, make himself go back on the words he spoke? She wouldn't want a man like that....so why did she wish he would say something to negate last night? As they drew nearer to the town, Fae put up her hood to hide most of her hair. Aside from the well groomed horses, one would expect them to be simple travelers passing through. Nervousness bubbled in her stomach as she looked around. It seemed every alleyway they past had some sort of thug or thief in it ready to jump out at her. At least she had Dakath here with her. She seemed to be looking around for something when he questioned her. "I'm looking for the Shepard's Inn, it's an inn my mother spoke about once." She got more nervous the deeper they went. People began giving them strange looks as they passed, as if they hadn't seen anyone riding horseback. At one point, they passed through a dark rode lined with merchants selling strange things. Wrinkled old women, and some of the most beautiful elves called out their wares. Faelwen pressed a hand over her lips as she witnessed a woman about to cut a live kid of a goat open to produce a fresh heart for a customer. At this point, the princess jumped off her horse and ran toward the stall before thinking about where she was headed. They had just entered the section of the black market for those practicing dark magic.

"PLEASE, STILL YOUR HAND!!" Faelwen called out to the elder woman. Everyone who heard the princess's plea turned to watch what crazed child would plead for the life of an animal. The flashing blade stopped just before piercing the young flesh of the kid who was bleating for it's mother. It's fur was matted and dirty, though it seemed to possibly have once been white. Fae reached the stand with tears shamelessly flowing from her eyes. "Please, ma'am....don't kill her...she's done nothing wrong...."
"Wha's this, youn' ladie? Why'r ye 'urting ma busness 'ere?" Her voice was scratchy, yet strong as ever. The old witch seemed more angered than surprised. Not once in all her years has a woman questioned her for taking the lives of a goat or two. She held the small goat in place as she waved the knife around as she was talking. "I's just one more...I've don this t' plen'y more. W'y's this'un so spec'al tha' it gits t' live?" A few of the people gathered close to see how this would end. By far this was more entertaining than their daily buying and selling.
The princess sniffed before holding out her hand to the helpless kid, only to quickly draw her hand back as the woman threatened her by pointing the knife at her exposed skin. "Please...just let her live. I'll even pay for her. How much do you want?" Before waiting for an answer, Faelwen took the one ring she would always wear on the ring finger of her left hand. The sign of her promise to her mother. It was a silver band with a gold piece coming out of it in the shape of a blooming flower. In the center of the flower was a small sapphire. This she held out to the woman, who took it and stared at it in awe. "Is that enough? Please...I beg you to let her live..."
"Wha chil' I ain't never seen su' a lovely ring! Whare'd ye git setch a thing?" The woman passed around the object to allow the spectators to wonder at it as well.

"Yes, sire. I apologize." Sanya bowed low a few times as she continued to apologize and accept the verbal bashing. Her eyes widened as he told her to leave him. She hesitated, wondering if that would be going against the king's orders to protect his son. However, she knew Kharis wouldn't allow the villagers to be harmed if she stayed, putting them both at greater risk. Without another thought, she dashed off back to the village, shouting for them to hasten to leave. Of course she took more time to convince the oracle to leave his home for the moment. That took her the longest, and made her very worried for Kharis's safety. As soon as she was sure the villagers would make it out safely, she came running back to the hill she last saw Kharis. She found him surrounded, and in need of help from the shear number of dark elves. Her mind was made up though. If she were going to die, she would take as many of these elves as she could along with her. A deep passion burned in her to keep the prince and village safe. She created her duplicate as she ran and took two of her daggers out, one for each hand. With a nasty snarl, she half shifted into her coyote form. Sure she really wanted to run from this, but with this form and the abilities with it, she could fight better.

With a short howl, she charged straight at the elves. Her blades slashed in every direction, cutting into any flesh she could reach. The poison on her blade were enough to make some of them fall, others were just weakened and bleeding badly. Her clone ran close by, hacking away without bothering to block attacks. Sanya herself pushed her way through the mass to Kharis's side. She was cut up badly, but not bleeding enough to cause a problem. From here she again took to fighting off as many of the elves as possible before they could attack the prince. Her clone was out doing it's best to make a dent in the number. The dark elves eventually swamped the clone and over powered it, causing it to vanish. As it did, Sanya found herself in much more pain. It was hard to breathe, but she had to keep fighting. Reaching deep down into herself she found the will to push through her pain at the moment and just fight. Kharis was often times left for a few moments to fight on his own while she was cut off from him. It looked as if the dark elves were trying to keep them separated.

The place was sketchy all right and Dakath didn't like the atmosphere at all. They were looking for an Inn she told him as they moved along. The so called market place stunk of some rotten fruit and mule manure. The sound of Faelwen's voice caused Dakath to jump. She had jumped off her horse and ran to an old bat of a lady who had a young Goat upside down and ready to slice it open alive. The Princess however was too kind hearted for this kind of place and tried to convince the old lady to free the little thing. The lady didn't look willing until Faelwen pulled out a ring that she had always worn since the day he met her and handed it to the woman to have in exchange for the goats life. People were in awe and also a little suspicious as to where she had gotten it from ad began asking too many questions for his tastes. Dakath stepped forward and pulled out his sword in a menacing way and approached a male who was taking his turn looking at the ring. "Drop...it" Dakath hissed at him. The Elf stared up at his cold purple eyes instantly afraid and obeyed and dropped the ring into Dakath's outstretched hand. Then he pointed his sword at the old lady "Release the goat and its mother". The lady clearly wanted to protest but she un-roped the goats instead for Faelwen with a reluctant look and Dakath sheathed his sword, walked to his Princess and fell to one knee. "My lady....your ring" he said and lightly took her hand and placed the ring back onto it. A she-Elf in the corner began fanning herself while blushing bright red and a couple others were in awe at the couple before them. Dakath took no heed as he tied the two goats behind his stallion and helped Faelwen onto her horse again, then mounted his own. "Lead on" he told her.

Kharis fought to the best of his ability and he could see Sanya was as well. It was getting harder as time went on though, the Dark Elves were too much this time.He could see Sanya in she changed form....he had never seen it before but it was clearly helping her loads, he wondered if he should change as well....no he couldn't he had no control. An Elf jumped on top of him and rolled him into the ground, they were trying to separate them....he thought to him self punching the life out of the enemy on top of him.He couldn't see Sanya anymore the elves were surrounding him but he could hear her slashing and hacking and yelling but it sounded far. He felt blood trickle down his face....and his blood began to rush violently an elf who looked some what like the leader of this particular group stood above him "Where is it....the stone" he snarled in a hideous tone of voice. "WHERE IS SANYA?" he asked him spitting up blood as someone punched him in the rib "She will die if you do not answer me" was all he said. "LET ME GO!" Kharis snapped angrily and he simply got kicked to the ground. His blood raged more, his eyes grew wild and yellow and his hair grew black and long, fangs sprouted from his mouth and suddenly he was a head taller then the Leader. Kharis tried his best to keep conscious as he whirled around with his blade's and new found strength. He saw Sanya now and got over to her side snarling at everyone who came near, but an arrow flew out of nowhere and struck her in the back. Kharis lost himself and charged at the archer dragging him in his mouth and tossing him into his fellow elves. He crushed the skull of the leader and maimed the rest of the group Sanya hadn't managed to kill. When there was nothing but blood on the ground the young Prince still raged and smashed into nearby trees and tossed rocks and howled and snarled at the dead bodies. It wasn't until the young grand daughter of the Oracle showed up and tried to stop him from almost stepping on the Injured Sanya in which he punched her in the belly making her sprawl on the floor weeping, that the Oracle himself enchanted him making him shrink back to normal size and pass out.

Kharis woke up in side a damaged hut like home and the light was dim. His head was hurting as he tried to think of what had happened earlier....they were in a fight, him and Sanya...they tried to separate us he thought to himself. The young girl appeared before him clutching a wet towel to put on his brow "Shush now...." she said calmly "Where is Sanya" he demanded. The girl said nothing to him,so He jumped up off the bedding and stumbled to find her laying on a bed. He was bleeding from a wound he hadn't remembered getting but he didn't care "Sanya.....?" he asked "Sanya...wake up please"

Fear passed through her as she noticed the ring being passed around. What would they do now? What if they decided to try asking her for more, or attack them. She wouldn't let harm come to the villagers, so how would they be able to defend themselves? Dakath came to her rescue at that point, asking the elf to return her ring. She didn't like the people being threatened, but Dakath seemed insistent on doing it this way. She feared what he would think if she stopped him. While she had gotten what she wanted, it came at the price of fear, making her sad. Fear couldn't be how people gave her things, she was no better than they were. Just because she was born royal didn't entitle her to everything...and she knew that. Suddenly, Dakath was at her side, taking a knee, and offering her ring back to her. Her world seemed to slow at that moment. This was how she imagined a man proposing to her....why did her guard do this? Joy still bubbled up in her heart as her body processed this as a sort of proposal. Her mind was trying to stop herself from falling more in love with the man. She was giddy, yet confused. He'd said that they couldn't be together. Now rather than handing her ring back, he was on one knee and giving it to her.

The princess dried her tears as she was lifted back onto her horse. She couldn't be this way, he hadn't wanted it before. Why couldn't she move on? Faelwen nodded to him and again began her journey through the area. The people behind them stopped their market proceedings to talk about what had just happened. Some claimed it had been actors advertising for a show, others said they had been noble lovers, and still others said it was the fairy queen with her noble adviser. None of them came close to who they really were. The princess headed down the road at a slow pace to accommodate their two new additions to the troupe. Oh, how was she going to explain this to those back at the palace? Joegen would likely be furious that she had left the castle, one, without his permission, and two, because she went to a bad section of town. After that road, a large sign was displayed. It had an image of a flock of sheep and a shepherd walking into the sunset. Large letters proclaimed that they had reached their destination. Just before they entered, Faelwen turned to Dakath. "Thank you...for what you did back there. I don't think it would have ended well without your help."

Sanya soon found herself far to tired to do anything other than keep herself alive. She could hear Kharis fighting, but those sounds stopped after a little while. She panicked, calling out his name as she tried her hardest to fight her way back to him. It wasn't enough. A large beast rose up from the area she thought Kharis had been. Her eyes widened as she watched it move closer to her. What was that thing? Something in her mind though, recognized it being the prince, and oddly she wasn't afraid. Searing pain in her back made her mind return to the battle. She could feel a numbness start to spread from that point, and soon fell forward on top of those fallen opponents. So this would be the end? A hot tear ran across her face as she accepted her fate. If only she had been able to be of more use to her master....the last thing she could remember was the beast charging off and ripping bodies to shreds.

Her mind wandered back to the time she got to spend with Kharis. All the funny moments in the mornings, his happy personality. The way he devoured any food in sight. It all replayed in her mind. She then was brought to the times when she disappointed him. All those failings she had. Sanya was unaware of the fact that she wasn't dead, but laying in a makeshift bed. The poison from the air was slow to wear off, keeping her in a state of sleep for the moment. In her dreams she could hear him calling her. Sanya....wake up...please... His voice sounded so distant. If only she could apologize for the times she failed. Even though she was sleeping, tears gently rolled down her face. A horse whisper was all she could manage in her semi-unconscious state. "Kh-Kharis...my prince....Please....forgive me." The images of his anger, and then when she got separated from him both constantly replayed in her mind. The way he was in anguish that evening, and crying. The times she wasn't able to help him. All this kept her in the darkness of her mind.
