Favorite musicals?

i'm curious, Iwaku. What are your favorite musicals?

They don't have to be Broadway, they can also be opera or films.

My personal favorites are Fiddler on the Roof, The Sound of Music, and Spamalot.

Fiddler on the Roof, because I grew up with it. It's my mother's favorite musical, and it tells a great story. The Sound of Music reminds me how we would always watch the film in class at the end of the year, and I learned to really love the songs, especially Edelweiss. And Spamalot, because it's a Monty Python musical. How much better can you get?

I saw Ghost on Broadway and it was one of the most chilling and beautiful things I have ever watched. I am pretty sure nearly everyone in the theater cried.

I love musicals xD though I don't know many

My second favourite has to be Roméo et Juliette -- I had the CD of all the songs, and I might've listened to it until it died on me.
My first and forever favourite no competition has to be Notre Dame de Paris -- we had the cassette of the show when I was a kid, and I've always loved Victor Hugo's story, in any kind of rendition. Love love love

Pfft, I mis-posted. That's what I get for multi-tasking.

Anyway, I really like the 1980s Into the Woods that is on Netflix. Or...it was? I haven't looked in awhile. I also like the handful of anime musicals I've been able to get my hands on. I tried the Shrek one. it was okay though the main character was a little scary looking. I haven't actually watched the Wicked musical, but I've heard a few catchy tunes from it.

I really feel like I'm missing an important one I like. o.o; Damn brain, work!
