Valley-Clearing of the troll~
Tyler/Griffin/Godric>Any in the area

"Alright! You lot need to calm all yur fussin and let it be that you are lost and alone. All yer whimperin and layin around like dogs is just gonna get ya killed!"

A loud booming voice came from one giant of a man. His armor was pristine silver with badges of glory to commemorate his victories won. He had a braided beard of fire orange, a true Irish fellow if that existed in this world. His muscles bulged a bit and he wore a long black and gold cloak with tan and white lion furs hanging about his shoulders. No helmet unlike the rest and at his back was the largest damn great-sword most had ever seen. "I am Godric Fearorn Commander of this her Platoon of men. We have won a great battle today, and luckily fer all of ye we will be taken ye back ta the castle with us and settin ye straight." There was no denying how odd this scene was however, the fact that their were so many naked kids and adults in one place, abandoned, lost and most didn't even seem to have their wits about em.

Out of the corner of the commanders eye he spotted a young wee lass crouched in the grass knelt as if she was ready to submit to whatever torturous device fell upon er. "Aye you wee lass , stand up this instant and stap yur blubberin!" He commanded marching over to her side and taking one hand upon her before she screamed out and smacked it away. "Aye, thas what I thought, you do have some fight left in ye so lets get up and be on with et." His voice was calm and relaxing in that moment, and hewas much kinder in his advance to help her off the ground and hoist her up. "Now I herd ye speakin an odd name just a secnd 'go I might be able to help ye if ye can describe the ser." Anabelle didn't know about trusting in this stranger but what little choice did she have here. she disclose a small description of Tyler to the man.

"Well... I spose we betr be on r way then if we are gonna catch up with that wee lad. he was sprung off like a jack rabbit minutes ago with a large ol beasty on his tracks, and another wee lad close behind." Godric admitted before he started in the direction of the large foot prints. "Any ways, I think its betr of ye to give up on the idea of him servivn, if he is anything as wet as the rest of ye whelps then hes likely a pile-o-bones at this point." Anabelle's eyes were horror stricken by the words but she was so tonuge tied and confused at this point that she said nothing, in fear she might agitate this man, and that she was not alone anymore, that he might take her to her precious Tyler. Godric continued forward pushing through the trees as he followed the tracks.

"Tyler!" griffins voice bellowed out as Tyler danced around a strike, not very gracefully mind you but that was to be expected with how he was wearing down. Griffin once again had tried climbing its back to the head, but that was a folly attempt as he was flung hard into a tree. His back ached silently and he groaned in protest but picked up his sword and readied again. It was only at that point that he recognized the familiar voice and tracked it down with his eyes. Moments ago when he was upon the back of the creature it hardly seemed real, but as he looked up for a second and beheld, a very... changed... beautiful...Naked?

Griffin almost fell over in a blood fountain that very second as he beheld Sera's naked body and took it all in for a moment. it was an opportunity he had eventually hoped to have sure, but under these pretenses? surely the God above was a fucking impractical joker. "Griffin!" Tyler shouted sending the image and fantasy from Griffin's mind just in time so that he could roll to the side and dodge a horizontal swipe of the monsters club that would have completely ended him... though.. he could have died happy in that moment...

Tyler only now noticed and looked once as a large bit of red appeared on his face. his eyes shot back to what he was doing as a puppy like guilty expression played on his face. Though he and he was sure Griffin couldn't help but feel relieved that they were not alone here, that she had followed them to wherever the hell this Narnia look alike was. Tyler moved around the creatures foot taking a second and stabbing as hard as he could into its toe which riled it to howl in anger. A shift of movement and Tyler was flung at the innards of the cliff Sera was standing on.. His body no longer really wanted to move at all.

Griffin felt a sense of urgency seeing Sera, and noting Tyler hitting hard into the stone of the nearby cliff. he was determined to face this creature, to win this battle and then possibly have some excuse to walk around with naked Sera. Fuck the God above, fuck his insecurities fuck all of it, this was the chance of a life time and this ugly fat troll would not... stop him. Griffin moved in ducking and rolling under a swipe from the troll and then he raised up to fling his sword across the creatures belly. It was bigger so him being here did not allow it much to do with such a low center of gravity. Another slash was had on its leg as it buckled onto one knee and then thrashed about forcing Griffin back. "Sera stay back!' he shouted or almost shouted; before one of the thrashing arms knocked him flying. Griffin rebounded and readied his stance again though his knee was shaking now.. his body was not handling this well... not at all.

"off with ye foul creature, be gone yer masters have all run an hid and if ye don't join em Ill have yer head!"

A gruff shout erupted over the scene as several silver armored knights charged into the clearing and launched javelins with chains attached to them into the creatures flesh. The soldiers pulled the creature down as it roared in protest and flung some of the weaker men away. Godric himself took up one of the chains and left Anabelle and the other naves back in the forest to on-look the battle and behold his strength. Like a bull or the equivalent of ten normal men Godric pulled the creature off his feet and shouted to the Black haired boy before him. "NOW finish et!"

Griffin moved to make an attack and then another sword pierced the creatures skull, though only slightly. A foot came flying down onto the hilt pushing the sword the rest of the way into the brain of the monster and leaving it lifeless as a silver haired boy tumbled down onto his arse. His breathing was heavy and his bones cracked in protest with even the slightest movement. Tyler mused to himself before his vision faded and chuckled a bit as he reached towards the sun above. his arms weak and his body done in.

"Ahh... Tirian Slayer of The Troll of the Forest...I like it..."

Griffin was left in the rubble and without thinking twice quickly scanned for Sera, and Kanari. he was praying she was not here, or that perhaps if she was that Sera had found her already. he prayed but when he finally joined her side in all of his righteous nudity he knew that was not the case. "I... Really have no idea what the hell just happened Sera... but.. I thought I was gonna die.. I really thought I was gonna die." Genuine fear played on his features, and he looked like he could break but he held firm and without worrying of consequences wrapped his arms around her pulling closer and hugging her as his head rest on her shoulder.

Godric was rounding up the rest, and Anabelle was fighting through soldiers to get to... err Tirian? That would take getting used to but at least this group didn't seem to want to kill them so for now.. they had a cornerstone, some semblance of safety, and that would at least be reassuring. "Come on Sera lets join the rest, I am hoping they can explain whatever the hell is going on."

Location: Clearing in the forest
To: Griffin, Tyler, Godric, and everyone else here

untitl11.png

The small clearing beneath Sera was relatively bare, save for some broken bodies, a giant troll, and the two idiot boys Sera recognized to be Griffin and Tyler. Why they thought it was a good idea to fight off some fantasy creature in the middle of a forest, naked and without armor, was lost on her entirely. And here they were, dipping back and forth like two semi-skilled battle partners, fighting the damn beast. Sera was starstruck by the display and how well her friends were holding up... though they were getting tired, she could see that. They were starting to slip up, and if help didn't come soon she could only assume the worst would befall them. Up until this point, fear crippled her from acting intelligently. It'd been so difficult to keep a level-headed mind after waking up in some strange place and seeing creatures that could not rightfully exist. Much less when she'd heard a very familiar little scream. Sera thought she'd been following Kanari, but the glowing sprites had brought her somewhere else now, likely far away from the little girl. Not that she wasn't relieved to find Griffin, and yes, even Tyler... but Sera doubted that if she left even now, she would be able to find Kanari.

She was becoming increasingly frustrated with the situation. Stuck between two hopeless causes, Sera was being made to choose here - run off and chase someone she knew in her heart she wouldn't be able to find, or jump down the small cliff she'd found herself upon and find a way to help Griffin and Tyler. She doubted very much that attempting to help either situation would be for naught, yet Sera couldn't rightfully just stand here, staring dumbly out over the clearing and watching the two people she cared most about die.

Griffin and Tyler were holding up decently, despite the many times they were knocked down or launched into the trees. Caught up in the struggle against this beast, the two of them hardly seemed to notice she was here... that was until Griffin leaped onto its back again, and was thrown not so gently against a large oak far off to Sera's left. The crunch of bones shot through her ears, even from here, and soon enough Sera found herself stumbling toward the crumpled boy. He wasn't down for long, in fact Griffin recovered rather quickly and was readying his sword for another attack when his eyes found her. The look in his eyes pinned Sera to her spot, and after a painfully long moment of silence she bothered to remember exactly how naked she was... how all of them were. A deep red blush colored her face, one rivaled only by the flush of his own pale skin. Well, this was an awkward situation. Griffin looked like a dear in the headlights, and yet he could hardly tear his eyes away from her. That proved to be a very big mistake as a club swung down over him to strike the final blow. Sera found herself shouting his name, and to her surprise another voice chimed in to create a harmony with her own. Thankfully it was enough; Griffin rolled just in time, dodging the swipe and recovering his ground quickly.

Across the little field, Tyler stood with equally wide eyes and blushing cheeks. He recovered from the moment of embarrassment much faster than Griffin had been able to, which she felt relieved for... and very slightly disappointed by, at the same time. A dumb feeling, she chastised herself as the battle commenced again. The two of them seemed to be fighting harder now, though Sera couldn't tell if their new vigor was a consequence of her appearance or not. She was glad nonetheless at their ability to dance around the troll and strike blows, though luck could only grace them for so long. Tyler had been stabbing a sword into the creature's foot one moment, and in the next, the troll flung an arm out and cuffed Tyler's chest, swatting him away like a gnat. He crashed into the rocky cliff-side directly below Sera and crumpled there, and she waited for him to get up and shake it off... but Tyler wasn't moving.

In that moment, her anger toward the blond... er, white-haired idiot evaporated. All of the walls she'd thrown up to keep him from hurting her was smashed, and Sera came to the very real understanding that anger and pain hardly mattered in the face of death. That's what this was. They were staring death in the eye, tempting fate with no explanation as to why. Why it had to be them. All Sera could feel at this point was an overwhelming sense of contempt for the situation and concern for her friends who were so very close to the end. Sure, the confusion and fear and anger and pain still floated in the back of her head, but in the heat of the moment Sera could only afford to respond to one thing at a time. So she started climbing carefully down the cliff, toward Tyler's unmoving body. It wasn't a particularly steep cliff, just a small face of stones really, and soon enough she was low enough to let herself drop. She landed left of Tyler and bent down with concern clear across her face. With no room for reluctance, Sera worked an arm under his shoulders and shook gently until he was conscious enough to stand. Tyler's body was weak, and he seemed more than a little disoriented by the blow he'd received, but he was well enough to stand and meet her eyes, at the very least.

"I think you're checked out, Ty. Stay here and rest, I'm sure this will be over soon." Those were pretty fearless words to be coming from her. In truth, Sera had no way of knowing how close they were to finishing this, or if they would even survive. But for Tyler's sake, and for Griffin's, she had to believe they could make it out alive. Death just wasn't allowed to be an option here. Extinguishing a soft huff, Sera settled him against the rocks and did something that was probably pretty stupid of her. She started out on the field, where Griffin had begun to face off with the troll alone. He couldn't fight the beast and survive, not alone, and Tyler was too out of it... so the least she could do was try, right? As she jogged closer to the two of them, Sera quickly began to sift through plans and strategies. Distraction was the easiest tactic here. If she could draw the troll's attention it would give Griffin enough time to knock it down and slice through its neck. Probably. Hopefully.

Though by the time she was close enough to the skirmish, Griffin was able to duck under a swipe and slice through the beast's belly. Next, the leg, and the creature had no choice but to collapse onto its knees and thrash about wildly. Sera was stunned by Griffin's strategy. He acted with natural battle grace, carving down the troll's most vulnerable parts and setting himself up for the end-game. It would have worked, too... had the beast not begun trashing out with its arms and knocked him away. Panic jumped into her throat and dissipated once he recovered, though she could see him limping now, likely having sustained a serious blow to the leg. They were running out of time, and Griffin was running out of energy. Had Sera opted to train with him like Tyler had so many years ago, she might have been able to finish the job herself. But Sera was just barely proficient with small weapons and projectiles, none of which happened to populate the little clearing. Once more, she was useless. It wouldn't be long before the troll found its footing, and this time she doubted Griffin would be able to take the beast down by himself. Perhaps this was the end.

Sera had often wondered what death would be like. Stories depicted the final breath of life to be accompanied by the blowing of horns and a chorus of heavenly voices, or screams. Personally, Sera didn't believe in such things... not in heaven or hell, not in purgatory, not in the Garden of Eden. When death struck, she believed that all would be filled with silence. And so when the shouts and the blowing of horns erupted over the hillside and through the forest, Sera was entirely unsure what the hell to expect next. She stared numbly as a group of armored men and woman poured into the clearing, weapons at the ready, shouting all sorts of battle cries and curses to the thrashing troll. As if the gods of fortune were blessing this battlefield, javelins were hoisted and launched into the creature's flesh. So swiftly was the beast taken down by a large man, who screamed at Griffin to finish it. He made a motion forward and a pale blur flashed beside Sera, descending upon the scene faster than anything she'd ever witnessed. The beast roared, a sword swung, and one final cry sounded before the beast toppled over and Tyler dropped with it. The idiot mumbled something akin to "Tirian the Troll Slayer" before passing out, and, completely stunned, Sera could do nothing but laugh.

She continued to laugh as tears spotted her vision and Griffin surfaced in front of her. Concern, shock and fear decorated his newly marked face in a way that tugged on her heart painfully. Sera couldn't remember a time when she'd seen him so afraid, so vulnerable... she hated it. "You idiot..." Sera managed to mumble as his arms wrapped around her, and she pressed her damp face into his neck, a shaky breath speeding from her lips. "You absolute idiot... why would you do that... Why would you fight that thing, you idiot..." By now the tears were coming harder, and Sera was nearly breathless from the intense wave of fear that was finally presenting itself in a physical manner. Her fingers dug into his skin tightly, as if he would disappear the moment she released him, and for once in her life Sera believed such an unrealistic thing could truly happen. It wouldn't have been the most surprising occurrence to happen this day.

After a while of standing there like this, clinging to him, her tears slowed and she was able to take a deep breath. The battle is over, she told herself, no more fighting. If only she'd known how wrong that assumption could be. Eventually the clearing had become filled with people, some fully clothed in armor, some completely naked, all equally as confused by the situation. Over Griffin's shoulder, Sera spotted the mountain of a man that had taken the troll down. He seemed to be rounding up some of the stragglers and talking them down. A commander, Sera assumed, though she didn't really feel comforted by the man's presence. Even as Griffin spoke of joining the rest, she doubted explanations could fix this. But she followed him toward the group anyway, clinging to his side despite how utterly nude both of them were. At the very least she had Griffin to comfort her, and that counted for something.

-Carmintine "The Ivory City"

They had been walking for hours, the oldman ceasing to slow his pace and poor Zeiry trying to keep up, but Girmer came to a sudden hault and raised his wrinkled old hand up for her to stop. Zeiry haulted and watched him curiously. He was facing something, but Zeiry was not very sure what exactly. It was just trees, a sudden turn in the trail leading off deeper into the woods. "...Why have we stopped Girmer?" The old man did not answer, instead he gave a small cackle and walked forward to the trees, his arms extended out as he spoke softly. "I ask for passage into your great city, 'The Ivory City', golden under the sunlight. Place of magic and peace. Allow me to pass!" With that, he took a step forward and disappear out of think air, but blue ripples seemed to errupt from where he stood.

Zeiry stood in complete disbelief, her eyes wide with a mixture of shock and awe as she watched the ripples slowly move up to the sky.
"What...the...actual...fuck" She almost screamed when she heard a loud cackle from the other side and Girmer's head seemed to shoot out from air, causing more blue ripples to shoot up from the sky. He spoke quickly, a new found vigor in his speech. "Hurry up, missy. Don't dautle while Asciel is waiting. Ask for permission because it is only proper! Remember your manners. You are entering a prestigious city." With that, his head disappeared and Zeiry was left alone. She understood what she was looking at...a Force Field or Shield of sorts, reaching up to the sky to...hide something? She was not sure, but what she did know was that she sure as hell wanted to be inside. She stepped up to the wall and extended her arms, just as Girmer had done. She trembled a little out of unknown fear. Why was she afraid of the barrier? Rejection, retailiation...she was not sure, but she did know that whatever magic this was, it was truely powerful. She closed her eyes then and spoke softly. "Great city...Great Asciel...I seek to know what you wish for me to know. I seek to pass though your barrier and gaze upon the marvels of this world I have been brought to. I know not my reason for being here and I know not what right I have to gain passage, but I beseech you to let me in...please." With that she stepped forward.

At first, going inside the barrier felt as if she was given ahug by a snowman, an Icy embrace unlike anything she had felt before, but it quickly warmed. Magic surging around her, filling up her heart until she felt as if she would burst, but in an instant it was over and she was on the other side. She fell to her knees, gasping for air and being watched by the smiling sage.
"You truely are the old Magee..."
Zeiry looked up and rose, dusting herself off before staring in awe at the vision before her. They were standing under an arch, but not any arch. A massive arch nearly 70ft high, constucted of pure Ivory, sparkling Gold under the Sun's rays. Zeiry stepped forward, her eyes filling with tears at the beauty. The base of the arch was Gold, giant gold stands holding it in place. Golden designs laced up the arch, depicting different images and words that Zeiry did not understand fully. All she knew was that this was possibly the more beautiful thing she had ever seen.

images

Girmer lightly placed a hand on her shoulder and nudged her forward, speaking softly.
"Yes, yes. Seara is a lovely arch, is She not. She was build by Asciel to help protect the city....look up." Zeiry's eyes shot up at the first thing she saw. A massive tower contructed of Ivory...hell the whole city was ivory and gold, glittering in the sun. The Ivory Tower towered over all the other buildings, reaching up towards the sky with its two other structures rreaching up as well. Each twisted and turned around each other like nothing she had ever seen before. She almost fell to her knees again at the sheer beauty and magnitude of this place. She was shedding tears, happiness brought to her heart at such a sight. It was almost as if she had died and woken up in heaven. She looked to Girmer, who had the same look of awe and pleasure on his bumpy face. "In all my years being here...I can never get use to the sight...come. Asciel is waiting." He stepped forward then and guided Zeiry through the city. The ground was Ivory, like its buildings, with the same Golden designs as the rest of the city. Zeiry almost felt guilty for stepping upon it, but could not help but marvel at such intricut and detailed designs. The street lamps had the same shape as the tower. 3 towers spiraling up into one, and each building seemed to have its own design.

The city was alive with smiling people. Elves to be exact. Some with pale white and blonde hair and others with hair as dark as night itself. They all had ivory colored skin and amber eyes. Zeiry knew exactly what they were and almost could not contain her excitement. "moon elves..." Girmer looked over his shoulder and smiled. "Aye. The true peacekeepers of the universe. The ultimate neutrals, reciever of many. The moon elves. They hide their city so to refrain from attack. Many would wish to have the Moon Elves on their side. Do you know why?"

"...Their magic?"
"Yes. you are so smart. The moon elves are some of the most powerful magic users. The great magees, socerors, necromancers, etc. have had at least a drop of Moon Elf blood in them...just like you."
"I do?..."
"Asciel will explain when we reach the tower." Without another word, he pressed his hand to her back and urged her forward towards the tower. The Elves on the street bowed respectfully as they passed, their smiles never seeming to change as their beautiful faces gazed over at Zeiry, causing her to blush and look away. "This place...is beautiful...image what Asciel must look like..."

"Might I assume you have news that might please me?"

A doors closed in the distance and with each echoed footstep upon the marble floor a single torch with an eerie black and blue flame illuminated the room. The sound of hissing emerged from behind the large chair in the center rear of the room. It was still far from bright enough for the face of the man sitting atop the throne to be seen clearly but the serf that stepped closer and closer could easily feel a chill at the back of his neck, like spiders crawling up and down his spine, if he thought to allow his mind to wander; he may have even seen their webs strung around him and each tiny creature falling from the sky, despite the fact there were none at all.

"My Lord the tribesmen were nothing in comparison.."

"Am i to be surprised by such things?"

"No milord...the... there is more.."

"Go on..."

"Deep in the wood lands nearest of Carmentine a battle took place, Godric and his men of course ended the raiders, but the raiders had a viable ally with them that should have at least helped to turn the battle a bit more fair. peasants, peasants and naves mi-lord. they have come from no where and two of them... two of these peasants slew Throk the Thrasher."

......."Summon my council..."

"M..m'lord?"

"NOW!"

Fieldset:
The constant bite and chatter of merry men erupted over the little clearing, as each of them took their own time harvesting something out of the troll. Godric appeared to be the only one of the new found heroes to not have an interest in whatever they were doing. his focus seemed much more pinpoint on the lost children/adults and was listening to each of their very familiar stories to how they came to this place, each time a new look of confusion setting upon his face. "This is all damn bloody mad I say!"He shouted out of obvious frustration; then stormed off into the forest.

Griffin was only now just really recovering from his near death experience, and Tyler was still laying about the ground like the fallen hero. In ways it really pissed griffin off, but he didn't let that show much in comparison to his thankfulness; that at least his friend was alive, even if he was knocked a bit silly. "Sera, this is a really far fetched idea, honestly but I think that we somehow got transported to another world, either that or we were drugged and this shit is gonna be the hot ticket in our little city." He finally found himself with enough vigor to laugh for the moment and stood back shaking his head in disbelief, as if trapped in his doubts. "None of it makes much sense, but we know we aren't in some foolish illusion.. The fear, the moment I knew I would die, that fear can't be simulated in any game, or show, or drug, or whatever else, That was genuine.. " His voice cracked a bit just thinking about it but his short reunion and waiting period to talk to the captain was interrupted swiftly after.

"Alright! I have no idea what in hellzblaze is rilly go'n on here but where i hail we honor the victors of the battles fought. By hon'r and Glor'e and all that non sense!" His voice was booming, holding that thick Irish accent as he commanded his troops and each fell back into line. The General did not stop their however, he also commanded each of the people their to fall in line as well. "Stand at the ready, and be respcful will ye?" Godric shouted, but griffin nor Sera fell in with the rest, not Tyler or Anabelle. For once. Anabelle actually seemed to care about something besides herself, and she was legitimately worried for Tyler, but Griffin knew better. Tyler knew damned well if he made some comment like 'Tirian Slayer of the troll in the woods' and didn't explain himself then griffin would tug him back by his collar before he could even think to play his hand with death.

"As fer our heroes of the bare flesh will ye give us yer name?" Godric was addressing Griffin and Tyler now, seemed quite set that they would participate in all of this silliness. "Sir... I am sorry but I have to find my sister.. if she is here..." Griffin was cut off mid sentence, and Godric demanded it again. "ur name boy!" Griffin knew there would be no getting out of this, but he didn't feel like wasting time either. "I am Griffin of.... err.... Camelot!" Griffin announced boldly and this, is my... umm.." think, for the love of God griffin, think. If you blow this right now you could find yourself in the permanent... frien.. "My sister Sera...." idiot.. Godric repeated the claim and then bowed. "I know little of your home land sir Griffin, but I do hope that one day can visit." griffin only nodded sheepishly as the stirring sound of coughing filled the air and all eyes fell back to Tyler and Anabelle.

Griffin took the moment to whisper in Sera's ear. "We need to go if we are going to break away, if we stick with them then we will end up farther away from Kanari, I feel it." He nodded after the short exchange and clenched her hand in his own, it would take careful work but they needed to leave tonight before things go out of hand with this group. Sure it was much better to travel in numbers, but Not if Kanari was in this place alone... Griffin could not stand to think on that...

"Fat.. bastard.. soaking up all the glory, just because of little things like being unconscious, and unable to move... well played." Tyler's voice was a bit weaker than before and he spoke through coughs as he choked up a bit of blood. No doubt there was internal bleeding from the battle. Tyler was stubborn though and pushed himself up, attempting to support Anabelle as well with him. "I have to say its very nice to see you here" he mouthed to her before reaching his full height coughing a few more times and placing his free hand over his heart. "Tirian... err ahem.. I am Sir Tirian Bladefell, I hail from no home prior; for the world is the home to all who choose freedom over service." It was like he had recited it or something... but something was ten times different about him, sure fear was apparent but he did not seem to be as broken by this as some may expect. In fact Tyl... Tirian was smiling with his genuine smile instead of the fake one he became accustomed to using. "It was a pleasure to fight by you Sir Godric"

"How the actual... hell did he hear all of that while being unconscious?" Griffin murmured into Sera's ear, but he had probably already figured out Tylers ploy here. Once again the now.. silver haired lithe looking male spoke up to the general. "If we have cleared all dangers, it may be wise to have all soldiers and stragglers set up camp and rest up. If we hurry we may be able to get some furs from the raiders you fought earlier, to help keep those warm that we cannot spot into a tent." His voice held wisdom, but for those that knew him, they would remember it well. it was the voice he had used too many times when playing his whimsical characters out as Npcs for their past table top games. Ty... err... Tirian was acting... playing a role now...and griffin was appalled, and thankful when Godric finally gave the order, sent back a group of trackers to gather furs, that were not too bloodied and gored. The group set up camp.

"Sera..."
He noticed quickly that he'd gotten her attention.

"Do you almost feel like we are supposed to be here? Like we aren't missing anything, maybe Tyler has the right idea... I mean... in reality isn't this place already better than our shitty lives at home?"

Sera didn't answer only stared at the stars above for a time.

"I am not sure.. but I don't think we are going home anytime soon... so I guess if nothing else we have to make the best of it... I guess we can treat it like old times... on crack..."

Sera giggled a bit to herself and griffin couldn't help but laugh at his own comment.. but soon enough sleep would win them.. and darkness would lull them away until the next day.. Oddly enough Griffin was hopeful about waking up.. something was wrong here definitely.. but.. honestly.. it felt more right than anything he had ever experienced.

Location: Asciel's Throne Room

She sat upon her throne in a concentrated silence, books floating around her as she cast her fair gaze on each. "Not here either..." She rose from her throne then and waltzed slowly down the steps and across her thrown room. She stopped in the center, as she had done many times before, and raised her hand. From one of the shelves nearby, a book freed itself and floated over to her, opening to an exact page. She gazed over it with the same calm stare, but her eye gave a small twitch. Sighing, she closed the book and it returned to its place. "Where could it be..." She turned then, her white dress fanning out around her as she slowly paced about the room.

She came to a stop by the crystal orb's stand and turned to it, reaching over and lightly brushing her fingers over it, cooing softly.
"Show me Zeiry..." The Orb glowed an irridesent blue and small images suddenly danced across it. Asciel fixed her gaze on the images in silence, a smile playing across her lips. "She is near...inside Carmintine with Girmer. Good...Show me young Kanari..." The Orb's images changed then to show the young girl. She was following behind a woman, wiping reminents of tears from her eyes. Asciel frowned and brushed her fingers over the orb again, cooing softly. "Be strong, little Kanari...you have made the right choices so far...you shall be reunited with your friends very soon...Show me Tyler, Sera, and Griffin." The orb's images changed shape to show the trio. They were all in a camp with the soilders from the earlier battle. "Ahh...Tyler is now Tirian the Troll Slayer...interesting title and path...dear Sera...Anabelle...and-" She stopped suddenly as the image stopped at the black haired boy with the red marking on his face. The orb's color changed then, turning a shade of red. Asciel's eyes narrowed and she gently touched her orb then, leaning closer to the orb. "Interesting..." With that, she leaned up, her expression suddenly turning stolic, but her eyes were slightly troubled. She raised her hand again and more books floated to her. The curtains around the large windows drew open, letting in more light as she stepped onto the balcony overlooking Carmintine. She gazed over each of the books in silence, her lips moving and forming silent words. Her thoughts, however, trailed back to Griffin and the Orb. "What paths shall you choose, hero...red has not come to my orb in a long time..." She would worry about that later. For now, her attention had to be focused on one being. Another smile hinted on her lips and she stepped back up to the center of her throne room, twirling once more and extending her arms above her head towards the golden ceiling. She let out a soft sigh, her amber eyes focusing on nothing in particular. "It seems I may have...miscalculated some things...No matter...balance should stay..."

.:Somewhere in Norindul:.
~Kanari > Neve~

24golu8.jpg

Inside of the cave was a campsite. A small fire burned in the middle with a pot over it, which hung on a stand of stick. A sleeping bag made of animal pelts, a large closed bag, a lute, and a log covered in some clothes and bowls made from wood all surrounded the fire. She stirred the pot then sat on the ground, across from the sleeping bag, which she pointed to. "Sit. Get warm." She said and I obeyed, wrapping myself in the soft fur. "Who are you?" I asked after I realized that I didn't know the name of the woman who saved my life. "My name is Neve Isole, I am a traveler and a performer." She answered. She didn't ask for my name in return but I felt I needed to introduce myself.

"Oh, it's nice to meet you. Thank you again for saving me. I am Kanari Pieriott. I'm not really anything right now. I um don't know where I am." I laughed nervously.

"You are in Norindul." She answered

"Where is that?"

"This world."

"Norindul is this world? I've never heard of this place."

"You have never heard of the land you live on?" She asked with a confused look on her face. I was beginning to put the pieces together.

"Wait, I woke up in a forest, naked, strange new body features, a new world? Either this is a dream or I'm not where I'm supposed to be." My eyes widened as a smile appeared on my face, though it was full of sorrow and pain. "So… This is it then. I guess I'm never going to see them again. I'm trapped in a world I know nothing about, far from home where the people I love are. What am I going to do?" This was turning out to be a horrible day.

"I'll teach you, Sukoshi." I was surprised at her words, not only did she save me but now she is going to take care of me? Sukoshi? I quietly laughed at the nickname. It means 'little bit'.

"Sleep now. We'll move out in the morning." She said as she laid down on the ground. I frowned as I laid down as well, I felt bad to kicking her out of her bed. After a few minutes of trying to sleep I sat back up. "Um Miss Neve…"

"Just Neve." She interrupted with her back turned to me.

"Oh, ok Neve, this is big enough for both of us. I can't really sleep like this, would you mind sleeping here with me." I asked timidly, I usually had a little teddy bear to sleep with to keep me company as I slept, without him it was hard.

"No." She answered with a sternly.

"Why?" My voice cracked.

"You need to stay warm. Go to sleep." I laid back down saddened. I pulled the excess covers up and hugged them to replace my teddy bear, burying my face in the fur. I was soon breathing heavily as I slept.

-Carmintine-

They had been walking for a long time again, but Zeiry seemed to not even notice. How amazing this city was, apparently it had the nickname of "Heaven". If she had died and gone to Heaven, she would have picture it like this, but she probably would not think God looked like Girmer. This small joke made her laugh softly. Girmer noticed and looked over at her, his Beard covering his smile. "Found any amusement, missy?" Zeiry gave a small shake of her head, causing her locket to dance about her neck. Girmer came to a sudden hault and stared at it, his eyes slightly serious. "Where...did you get that, Azeirath?" Zeiry stopped as well and watched Girmer's face, slight fear rising through her. "A boy, back in my home...why?" Girmer gave a small shake of his head, speaking softly. "It seems a little off, Azeirath. I caution you when you wear it. It may make you come across with a dark affinity." That was all he would give, moving his staff forward, he stepped past her and continued down the hill in from of them. "We are close to the tower. Don't dauddle." Zeiry nodded and walked after him, brushing her fingers over the onyx gem. She pursed her lips and gave a small frown. Maybe she should heed the old man's words, but the gift from Leon was almost too precious to get rid of. She gentle grasped it and tucked it into her robe, sighing softly.

The path down the hill led them past more houses and shops and smiling, moon elf, faces. Zeiry could hardly believe that so many beautiful people could be clutered in one place. She felt suddenly self-conscious and looked down at her shoes. They passed by a window and Zeiry stopped to look at herself. She was virtually the same as when she had been in her world. Short, skinny, flat-chested, but she did have stubble changes to her looks. She seemed longer, more graceful that before. Her hair was more golden. Her eyes had lightened to a shade of liquid honey, and protruding from both sides of her head were long ears, pointed down ever so slightly. They were not elf ears, she knew that much. Elf ears pointed up and were shorter. These were just....she did not even know how to describe them. She seemed to have grown more muscle as well. Her thighs and calves were slightly thicker and her arms seemed to match. She turned slightly and noticed her bum was slightly bulbous. Her skin had darkened a little and it seemed that her hair was thicker. She leaned forward against the window as her eyes widened. Girmer had come to a halt and stepped up next to her, tapping his cane on the ground. "I said do not dauddle. Asciel is still waiting for you-"

"I'm a Dwarf..."
"Yes...but not fully. Why do you think that Asciel was so keen on having you. Moon Elves watch out for their own kind..."
"Then I am a Moon Elf as well?...How is that even possible?"
"Asciel will explain. I have told you this many times before, haven't I?" He reached out and lightly patted her hand, his beard lifting slight to show he was smiling. Zeiry nodded and moved away from the mirror, getting one last look at herself before they were walking again.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
-Asciel's Ivory Tower-
Zeiry came to a hault as she stared up in awe at the base of the tower. How could something so magnificent have been contructed? She noticed golden flakes dancing around herand Girmer as they crossed the bridge and enter the base of the tower. Inside was just as amazing as outside, with a giant Gold and Ivory staircase spiraling upward. Books floated around, flapping like birds as they moved around the staircase. Laterns glowing with a magical light floated as well. The Staircase has an amazing glow about it...magic. Zeiry wished she had a camera so she could take a picture. Girmer smiled at her awe and started walking up the stairs. He was surprisingly spry for and old man, almost taking 2 steps at a time as he hurried up. Zeiry followed suit, but knew she would be groaning in the end. Flight after Flight they climbed. Floating doors of Gold were on every corner. Zeiry was unsure what to make of them, but as their progression slowed to a snail crawl, she took the liberty to look inside one. The door she opened was a bedroom of blue, gold, lilac, and white. She closed the door and looked around it, but saw nothing but the bare wall, inches from it.. She opened the door again and saw the same room. She would make a note of the room, hoping it would be hers.
They continued to climb for what seemed like an eternity. Zeiry having occupied herself with the scenery to get the pain she was feeling in her thighs out of her mind. There wer golden tapestry slowly stretching down to the floor below. They were huge! Zeiry gazed over them and noticed that they had about the same images as all of the Moon Elf designs. It depicted a great battle, a giant demon towering over a crumbling city and a woman rising from the dust like a phoenix. She gazed at it for a moment more, but was suddenly brought to a hault. They wer at the top. Infront of them was a massive double doors of Gold and Ivory. Girmer stepped forward and knocked before opening the door and stepping inside. Zeiry stood back for a moment and gulped, her eyes watching the doors in sudden intimidation. *So this is where I have been led...I wonder what Asciel will say. What will I say...I'm frightened, but so excited at the same time. So many questions I have to ask...so much I wonder about...Why me...* She shook her head then and slowly stepped forward. She clutched the door and looked back down the swirling staircase where she had climbed. *Why me...* With that, she turned and disappeared behind the double doors, clutching her robe for luck.
To be continued.....
Location: Camp Site
To: Griffin
untitl11.png
It had been a very long, confusing, and emotionally traumatizing day for Sera. After hours of back-and-forth discussion between various strangers, stories had been swapped, tears had been shed, and neither she, nor Griffin, nor any of their random group were any closer to understand exactly where they were or what had happened to them. Griffin had his ideas, and they seemed to be relatively reasonable compared to some of the other outlandish possibilities people discussed as their camp was being assembled. Griffin believed that some magical force had plucked them all from earth and tossed them into some fantasy world that seemed to be around the developmental level of the middle ages. Now normally Sera would have cast the idea off as simple fiction. Magic didn't truly exist, not in their world, and allowing oneself to believe in such things was unrealistic.
Unfortunately for her already extremely confused self, it was an opportunity and belief the old Tyler, the one she missed so greatly, would have jumped at on the spot. His sudden and complete transformation from new to old had left Sera feeling very torn between relief and contempt, though she hadn't let those feelings show in front of him, or anyone really. In the heat of the moment, As "Tirian the Troll Slayer" took over and started leading their little rag-tag group like the master GM of a Pathfinders campaign, Sera remained stoic. Her poker face was immovable, even now, as she lay under the stars with Griffin. Night was winding down now, and the army that had come to take down the troll had been kind enough to offer them tents and warm furs for the night, while they settled down from the shock and confusion of everything. When offered a tent, Sera had denied it of course. There were far more injured people than tents to house them, and taking precious sanctuary would have been extremely selfish of her. She'd opted, instead, for the grassy hilltop adjacent to their little makeshift camp.
And always the protective sort of gentleman, Griffin outright refused to let her sleep outside by herself. So now they lay on the hill top together, sandwiched between thick furs, still naked, though after hours of it Sera barely thought to be embarrassed anymore. At least the furs hid what she might normally have bothered to cover anyway. In the distance, the pang of rocks clashed against small pikes, drilling silk, cotton and leather tents into the ground. The camp was nearly set up by now, and she imagined very soon the fires would burn low and the tired men would hole up for the night to rest. It had been a long day for everyone, certainly.
"Sera..." A quiet baritone voice murmured on her right side, and Sera tilted her head to look up at Griffin's new face. His skin had paled some, though not substantially, and red crescent moons decorated his eye sockets and cheek bones in two long lines. Similar markings expanded across his body, she'd noticed earlier that day, and they whispered the tales of dragons and magic and wonderful fantasy. Sera hadn't been able to study them for long and found herself wishing the furs were gone, so that she could observe them closely, perhaps even sketch them out for further consideration... Though she had nothing to sketch with, so that seemed pretty impossible.
Griffin drew Sera from the haze of her tired thoughts with a question, the same concept that had been swirling around her brain for a few short hours now. Although words formed on her tongue, Sera could not bring life to them, for she was still so confused and reluctant to see a whole lot of good in this new world. Tucking her lower lip between her teeth, Sera cast her eyes to the sky, somehow managing to hope that the pattern of little lights would guide her to the answers she desperately needed.
Griffin spoke again, mumbling lightly, and she couldn't help but to laugh at his assesment of their predicament. "Old times on crack? I'm not sure if that's supposed to be a good thing or not, Grif," though as she said it, a small smile touched her lips. Deep down, although the idea of revisiting their "old times" scared her, Sera had begun to desperately hope for such a thing. It didn't seem that unlikely... considering the earlier display Griffin and Tyler made, it was already almost like they were back inside one of the games they used to play. Tyler was the great hero, Griffin the mysterious shadow with a heart of gold, and Sera... Well. She was probably the damsel in distress, or something dumb like that. "No," she murmured to herself very quietly, the smile on her lips souring. "That would be little miss Anabelle, wouldn't it..." A deep sigh heaved in her chest at the thought of the now red-headed girl Tyler was dating, but Sera let go the smallest breath of it, so as not to alarm Griffin. His eyes were closed now, and although his breathing had yet to slow in a way that meant he was asleep, Sera doubted he would be awake much longer. That was probably for the best. Sure, they needed to leave, tonight preferably... But a little nap wouldn't do them any harm.
Extinguishing a small yawn, Sera rolled onto her side under the furs, so that she could face Griffin. She propped her head up on her arm and watched him through half-lidded eyes, and an earlier thought surfaced in her head that made the girl giggle softly. "So, when exactly did we become siblings, Grif? Not that I don't love you and everything, but I would be alarmed to be your sister, given your earlier display..." It was a soft blow, a tease she knew would render him speechless if he had been awake enough to hear and understand exactly what she was referencing. Truth be told, the memory threatened to color her own cheeks a soft pink. It wasn't like her response to his sudden nakedness hadn't been equally as brutal... but she put that thought out of her head, for the sake of some amusement, and prodded Griffin's forearm lightly beneath the furs with a mischievous smirk on her face. His embarrassment was a small price to pay for some lighthearted amusement for the both of them.
After a little while of silence, Sera found her eyelids drifting. It had been an exhausting day and she absolutely adored the idea of sleeping, but... "We probably should stay awake, if we plan on getting out of here... soon..." Saying so was a struggle, and as the words tumbled from her sleepy lips she gravitated slightly closer to Griffin and his warmth. The idea of sleep was so tempting, that she could hardly fight it off anymore. Still, she pushed the exhaustion away for as long as she could, because she was a responsible... young woman... and...
Zzz...
*a few hours later*
Sera woke with a start, panic slamming down on her chest like a hammer. She wrenched herself up hastily into a siting position, and the furs fell away from her upper body, but the girl didn't very much care at the moment. Her head was pounding with the very familiar headache she usually got after waking up, and her arm had gone numb from the position she'd lain on it. Soon enough it was start to swarm like an angry nest of bees, and she wasn't very much looking forward to the sensation that accompanied blood as it rushed through her deprived veins again.
The sky was darker now, an infinite obsidian as opposed to the dark navy it had been only minutes ago... Surely she hadn't actually fallen asleep, not for long, she couldn't have. But when Sera glimpsed back to the makeshift camp just downhill of her and Griffin, most of the fires had been put out, and the field looked to be completely asleep. "Dammit!" She cursed under her breath, a heavy sigh spilling from her lungs. Well, on the bright side, sneaking out now would probably be easier than having tried to do so earlier with people awake.
"Grif, wake up. Its time to get going." Heaving another small yawn, Sera leaned over to shake the sleeping boy gently awake. He was about as disoriented as she was when she'd woken up. As he shuffled around and shook the sleep from his mind, Sera pulled one of the discarded furs up to cover her chest, the faintest blush coloring her cheeks now that he was awake and she'd thought to be embarrassed about the situation. When Griffin was awake enough to understand coherent speech, she met his richly golden eyes and smiled slightly. "We slept longer than we should have. Its probably time to go... though, we kind of need clothes first, I guess." And there was the matter of Ty... Tirian. She'd thought about it earlier, how odd it seemed for Tyler to suggest making a camp and staying with this group of strange people. Sera personally couldn't trust them, although they had been kind up until now. It didn't make sense to stay with a group of strange people in light of their current situation, and especially in light of Kanari missing. Not that Tyler necessarily felt the same way... but something told Sera that the white-haired "troll slayer" might have been planning something similar to what her and Griffin intended to do.
"Hey, uh... Maybe you should go find Ty- .. Tirian," she felt dumb calling him that, especially because she could easily guess where his inspiration had come from. But he was an actor at heart, and when Tyler adopted a character he went ham on it. "And let him know we're leaving. It would probably be rude not to at least say goodbye." Sera poignantly ignored the fact that she wouldn't be going along with Griffin to say goodbye. An unimportant detail, surely. Besides, she had more important things to worry about, like their very real and perplexing nudity. "While you do that, I guess I'll scrounge around camp for some clothes or something." A good, fair plan. Totally and completely crafted based on their needs, and certainly not Sera's discomfort with having to see Tyler with his nymphomaniac girlfriend.
The Escape from the Camp~
Tirian>Anabelle/Griffin
A silent darkness was the safety of the harbored mind, a prison for Tyler as he swam about an infinite abyss. Any word he spoke was spoken back to him an oddly muffled and repetitive mocking tone. A cylinder of faces like a totem emerged from almost nothing. Tyler glanced in that direction for a second but tried his best to discard the image of the fleshly ghosts. A nightmare was all that this was, and as a nightmare he had the power to control it. it was still a dream in HIS mind after all.. Tyler focused and crafted the true nightmare, turning his vision to something much more familiar and comprehending. large buildings rose out of the darkness, streets with lights,a university, a soccer field, and his dank little apartment. The things he had found not true love in were all here now surrounding him. After all when he woke from the hell he surrounded himself with now, he would find so much more pleasure in the world that was not composed of these things.. the world.. he belonged to.
Tyler woke with a slight start as he shot up and nearly knocked Anabelle over. She had been caring for him, apparent easily by the rags and warm water to the side of his piled up furs. A disoriented glance told him, that he had been right, that unless this was some strange dream within a dream, he was here to stay. A smile played on his features in that moment and he could almost deny the pain in his body from his recent encounter. "Thank you Anabelle" he said softly as his hand ran along her cheek. Tyler was strangely sweet, much more so even than he had been in their most intimate of times. He was ..different. "if Sera is anything as smart as I give her credit for, she and griffin should show up here really soon.. we all know that sticking with this group will place us in a predicament we can't have, not when we know so little." He was in his 'acting' tone again, something Anabelle surely was not used to just yet. His voice strong and still the same as the old Tylers, but it held a certain presence about it now.
In truth the setting, the dimmed out candle at the side, the cool breeze, the conditions were perfect; had they time he might have been inclined to show Anabelle the difference between intercourse, and fucking. They did not have that luxury. She was beautiful now though.. Red flowing hair, of a perfect fire like tone, green eyes that could have symbolized the most beautiful envy imaginable. She was still very supple, welt built and his favorite part about her features still had not changed, which made him happy as he poked playfully at her freckled nose. She scrunched in response for a second but he was already getting up.
At least having Anabelle here it wasn't awkward, she already had seen all she could see of him. The only differences now were the slight markings here and their upon his body, and his eyes were a bit more blue. The white hair... would definitely need some getting used to as well, but it did contrast well. "We need to get clothes." he stated and thought again about the situation that had occurred. he thought of Sera, how she seemed almost radiant like some beautiful elven queen or something, and her eyes... he hadn't responded as he wanted to, but her eyes had almost got him killed. She was beautiful by the absolute nature of her soul, pointed ears, Silver hair with an almost golden and pink hue that accented it in the best of ways, and the eyes... Pink.. a beautiful pink with the slightest hint of gold... Tyler was good at details.. and hers still flooded his mind even while he stood there with Anabelle.
"Alright for now..."
He took the sword he had at the side of his bed and began to cut at the furs of the bed like cloth they were using. It wouldn't take him too long, though there was only enough for basic gear for the two of them. "It wont be designer I promise, but it will have to do." he said smirking to Anabelle as he handed her a sash, that would at least cover up her private area, and help warm her shoulders and ankles. His only covered his crotch and parts of his ankles as well, the rest of his body bare, they looked like they could have been an extremely shitty barbarian couple. "Alright lets get going." he stated holding out his hand as he moved to exit the tent, and...
Clunk~
Tyler fell back over and rubbed at his head, but he was careful to be at least somewhat silent about it. griffin was doing the same on the borders of the tent. As expected they understood his thinking and had caught on. "Well met griffin old buddy... though I would prefer if you didn't use your head in this case..." griffin growled under his breath but the smile on his face couldn't stay suppressed for very long.
Anabelle > Tirian and Griffin
untitl10.png
Blood spotted Tyler's body everywhere, lining the lacerations upon his ribs, shoulders, chest. Anabelle could only imagine how terrible his back looked, but he was out cold and short of trying to shove him over she didn't see herself getting to clean that area any time soon. It was nauseating... cleaning wounds, actual, dangerous wounds, smelling the scent of blood, red staining her shaking hands as she ran the damp clothe over his skin. Anabelle could hardly believe this was real. That Tyler had come so close to death, by the hands of... of... something. Something unnatural, inhuman. A hard shudder wracked her small frame as memories flooded back, and her sight was filled with broken limbs and dying people. She'd been trying so hard not to think about it, to put the fear from her mind and to move forward, like everyone else. But Anabelle kept reliving those memories, and they terrified her. Thinking of them now and looking down upon Tyler's wounds, she was shaking so hard that the cloth slipped from her fist and fell in a wet heap on her lap.
Anabelle sat back on her heels, choking down a silent sob. It was so difficult to be strong in the face of the unknown. And truth be told, nothing about this new world, about this terrible nightmare she'd wound up in, was familiar to her. Anabelle had never been one for fantasy or horror movies. They were dumb, and scary, and she couldn't see how people enjoyed believing in them. Maybe that's what made this experience so hard for her. For what little time Tyler had been awake after the battle, he seemed so in tune with this new world; he played along like his greatest dreams were being fulfilled, even going as far as to rename himself. Tirian Bladefell, he'd called himself in the clearing. Slayer of the Troll. The idea of him embracing this world mortified and terrified her beyond measure, and she could only hope she'd been wrong about the excitement she'd seen in him.
After a short while, Anabelle forced herself to pick the cloth up again and rinse it with her pot of warm water. Blood tainted the liquid a murky pink color and she forced her eyes away, steeling her face. She was bringing the cloth back down against Tyler's ribs when he started away, and she jumped in surprise, dropping the cloth again. "Jesus Christ, you scared me..." Although mildly snarky still, Anabelle's voice was softer than usual, concern clear across her face pale and freckled face. He looked disoriented for a time but it didn't take Tyler long to assess the situation and understand what she'd been doing. Then he smiled, and lifted a hand to softly caress her cheek as he thanked her. It was such a sweet gesture... one she wasn't familiar with, one she especially hadn't expected considering the fight they'd been in last they'd seen each other. Tyler's tenderness was nearly foreign and she was taken aback it, unsure exactly how she should respond.
He solved the problem for her by switching subjects... to, for whatever reason, Sera. Anabelle was even more stunned at that. Though she wouldn't admit it, hearing Tyler speak of and even compliment the girl from his past, right now especially, was like a flesh slap to her pride. It wasn't enough that Sera was around to make things awkward and uncomfortable; now Tyler was talking about her, as if it were only natural. Anabelle didn't like it, and she really didn't like the idea of Tyler's old high school groupies following them. Not that she even knew where Tyler planned to go from here. It seemed crazy that they would leave camp in the middle of the night, in light of the horrors they'd already witnessed. Why leave when they could stay in a place where they could be protected? But Tyler seemed determined here, and she doubted anything she could say would change his mind.
Anabelle scrunched her nose lightly as his finger tapped upon it, and then Tyler was standing, and she tossed the rag back into the pot of water with a perplexed expression on her face. "We need to get clothes." He stated matter of fact, and she agreed, though the idea of wearing the furs of dead animals did not appeal to Anabelle in the slightest. Some parts were still stained with blood, and all she could picture when she looked at them were the corpses they'd been taken from. The dead men laying in the valley, weapons buried in their chests.
"Tyler-" She started, a nauseated expression passing over her face. But he was already ripping into one of the furs with his stolen sword, making rough cuts until something like a shall hung from his hands. Anabelle took the scrap of fur with barely contained disgust, and turned away from him to put it on. Not because she was afraid of him seeing her naked - they'd jumped each others' bones enough times for that fear to not even exist anymore. No, she turned away to keep her fear and sadness and anger away from his vision. Given all the terrible things that had happened today, she was in an unusually docile mood, and could not find the strength to argue with him.
It took only a short moment to dress, and when she turned around Tyler was fastening a roughly cut wrap of fur around his waist. "Definitely not designer..." She mumbled, running her hands through her hair in an exhausted manner. The slightest tremble still lived in her bones and screwed with her balance, a fact she could do nothing to remedy as Tyler began pushing toward the makeshift door to their tent. He didn't make it very far before he was knocked on his ass, and a deep groan echoed Tyler's own. So he'd been right, after all. The groupies had come to follow their leader. Anabelle sighed a groan of her own as she pushed past the door of the tent and the still-naked boy outside of it, feet carrying her away from the main camp, toward the forest. "Lets just go already, before more groupies join the party."
The group gathering at the Camp~
The group of Tyler,Sera,Griffin, and Anabelle.
"ha... hahaha.. you are the funniest thing around Tyler.."
"Shh Tirian.."
"Right... well if you are gonna have a cool name I suppose I should think of one too.."
"Not much time for that right now griff, and if you are thinking we can't afford to wait for days, so that you can come up with something clever."
"Fuck you Ty.."
A bit of laughter passed between the two but Griffin was the one leading it now as he observed the two in their... horrid attire. They still had him beat at this point considering he was nude.. but nude wasn't all that bad when you considered Tyler's handiwork. "What the actual hell are thos" Anabelle snapped a glare at him and he fell silent keeping his comments to himself as he crouched down and watched for the guards still on duty. Griffin was surprisingly sneaky even when he did have a pale full moon for an ass hanging out. Tyler and Anabelle quickly crouched as well and followed along.
"we are set at the hill. Sera is getting clothes for us, so we should be alright, sadly she probably wouldn't feel very right stealing anything else from these guys since they helped us."
It was understandable, even if a little frustrating so he left it at that. The two followed as closely as they could but Griffin was almost natural with the darkness, he moved each step perfectly and on several occasion by his directions they avoided being detected by a wandering guardsmen. he could not help but think about Sera; and wonder how she was faring under these conditions. She was smart though, like Tyler but probably even more so, Tyler was just the guy no one beat at chest.. yeah.. THAT nerd. "A little further and we should reach the hill." Griffin stated as they passed a guard with his back to them. numerous other bodies were sprinkled about the area, not in tents.. some in armor, others nude. griffin didn't take much time to identify who was who but he was still scanning them as if Kanari might be somewhere in this crowd, a foolish hope obviously.
Not long and they could see Sera, or well... her rear anyways. Anabelle huffed loudly behind them, but Tyler and Griffin were staring ahead. Sera was dressed now, in a well spread and placed white gown, gold intricacy's spread upon the clothe that she hand folded and knotted just perfectly that she could have almost looked like she belonged to this world. Griffins eyes widened... and Tyler though he tried to hide it.. was a bit agape at the mouth. Sera was braiding her hair back as they approached but she noticed them and crouched down. Griffin was the first to speak.... "Those... are sheets... silk, white sheets with patterns... you got those from Godric's... " He couldn't finish his sentence honestly as he stood there with her. "How the hell did you manage to get ahold of that." He pointed to the sheet, as he pulled his own bit of white garment about his features and she smirked a bit; tying him off at the waist so that the sheets fit snug to him and he matched her.
"Ill leave that to your imagination Griff."
His wide eyes probably nearly pooped out of his head in that moment but he left his thoughts to himself, Now Tyler was speaking.
"I guessed you would catch on to what I was doing." Tyler stated smiling at her, though there was definitely a small hint of jealousy about their clothes. Tyler was no artist when it came down to it. He did what he could with what he had, that was how he lived. 'Anyways, we definitely need to get out of here, we are missing one and I expect you want to get to find her." he looked to griffin and nodded once. "So unfortunately we have little to go off of, but I spoke with Godric earlier, I know he comes from the west of this place, and that his is the land of Humans... I know this Forest is known to be the most "normal" of all the forests in Norindul... Outside that i was told to avoid going to far south east from here.. something isn't right there I assume." A great deal of info had been taken from his little conversation with Godric and he panned it out but griffin suddenly piped up enough to be heard over Tyler.
"Wait a minute... there is something we need to settle before anything else."
Griffin had everyone's attention.
"Tyler has an epic fantasy name, and now I need one too so iv narrowed it down to... Gryfon ya know like the bird... The Shadow, Drakeheart, and Grim..."
They all looked at him...like an idiot..
"errr... what?"
Location: Hilltop, near the camp
To: Tirian, Grim and Anabelle
untitl11.png
Sera had been crouching low on the hill, eyes scanning the empty valley for signs of danger, when Griffin returned. Not completely to her surprise, Tyler and Anabelle were right in tow. All three of them were staring her down with varying degrees of shock, jealousy and, in the red queen's case, outright irritation. Well, this is clearly the start of a wonderful journey.... Expelling a quiet sigh, she turned her eyes away from the unpleasant female and gave Griffin a once-over. He was openly gaping at her makeshift gown, sputtering over the silk sheets. So he did notice... Sera had been hoping he wouldn't put the pieces together until later on, when they were far away from the camp and any guilt she might have found in stealing the bed sheets of the man that'd helped them. Ah, well... she wasn't normally the type to do such a thing, but in her circumstances, could they really blame her?
Griffin questioned how she'd managed to get a hold of the sheets, and rather than giving the poor boy a long-winded explanation of her careful sneaking tactics, a mischievous smirk settled on her lips. "I'll leave that to your imagination, Griff." Dumbfounded was he, as Griffin tugged his own matching garment over his body. Sera used one of her makeshift fabric ties to secure the robe tightly around Griffin's waist, and then continued on to wrap the dangling sleeve of fabric across his chest and over his right shoulder. It wrapped once around his waist and she tied that down, too, creating a tight-fitting robe that covered half of his chest and left the other shoulder bare to the moonlight. "There, looks great. Not really your color, but its better than..." Instinctively, Sera cast a glance in the direction of Tyler and Anabelle, who in particular looked like she wanted to knock Sera out and strip her naked for the chance of wearing something other than dead animal flesh. She regretted her decision to look that way, and returned her wry gaze to Griffin. "Better than being naked, definitely." There, that seemed harmless.
Sera stepped back and took up the half-finished braid in her hair while Tyler started his little speech. Try as she might to keep her eyes off of him, Sera found her gaze wandering up to his indefinitely blue eyes at the mild compliment he'd given her. Not that she'd particularly acted in response to the plan she suspected he had. One way or the other, Sera and Griffin would have left the camp in search of Kanari. It was purely coincidence that Tyler... Tirian, had the same plan. And really, she'd only sent Griffin off to find them as a courtesy. "God, that sounds stupid even to myself..." Sera mumbled incoherently, responding to the inner dialogue that circled through her brain, trying to make excuses for the situation. A frustrated noise left her lips then; she'd completely forgotten that Ty- Tirian! was talking, and now probably looked pretty dumb, talking to herself. Well, whatever. It didn't really matter what they thought of her at this point. She'd already snuck around a war camp and stolen fancy sheets, might as well top off her weird transformation with a good old fashion mental breakdown. Griffin wouldn't judge her too harshly, at least.
Tyler was winding down his explanation of the information he'd learned when Griffin piped up, a serious expression befalling his face. Mild concern gathered on Sera's face, and she took a step forward out of instinct, worried that something might be wrong. But then he spoke... and Sera quite literally had to clap a hand over her mouth to choke down the sudden laughter bubbling from her lips. Griffin looked every bit as confused and offended by their reactions to his very serious question, which made it all the more difficult for her to get a grip on her amusement. "Oh, god, Griffin..." She mused, when the laughter settled down enough that she didn't have to muffle herself. "Go with Grim, because if you name yourself after a bird I don't think we can be friends anymore." Clearly she was teasing him; he could see as much from the lighthearted amusement in her eyes, and the soft laughter on her lips. But she'd been serious about the name "Grim". It was a pretty cool idea, especially for Griffin. And she could see the allure of using new names in this weird fantasy world. Sera hadn't been all that comfortable telling strangers her real name, anyway. Not that she had even the slightest clue what to call herself. Something to think about later, though.
"Sorry. Alright, uh... No going south-east then. Cool. If Godric said the forest is safe then we might as well travel through it. Probably better to stay out of open areas, you know, in case someone decides to hunt me down for stealing Godric's bed sheets. And speaking of," Preparing herself with a deep breath for the glare to come, Sera turned her gaze back to Tyler and Anabelle - more specifically their terrible makeshift clothing. "Ty... Tirian, you should never ever try to become a seamstress. You will fail and your clients will hunt you down with torches and pitchforks. We need to get you guys better clothing to wear, because with your luck someone will mistake you for barbarian warriors." Though, really, the idea of Sera sneaking back into the camp and stealing more bed sheets did not seem like the best plan. And unfortunately, Sera hadn't taken enough sheets to make outfits for the four of them, so... "...We may have to wait, though, unless one of you feels like sneaking back to the camp and stealing some more sheets. Probably not the fancy ones though, we wouldn't want to be too greedy."
Sera couldn't quite understand the intensity of Anabelle's stare in that moment. On the one hand, she looked relieved by the promise of better clothing. On the other, she seemed offended, probably because she wouldn't be getting the "fancy sheets". Really, there was no winning with this girl... Not that Sera cared much for her to begin with. If the prissy little princess wanted to pout about fashion then Sera might have been more inclined to leave her to her furs. Not that she would voice such an opinion, for fear of making this situation even more awkward than it already had become. Rather than picking a fight, Sera turned her gaze away, allowing the displeasing girl to fall from her concerns. Anabelle did the same, wrapping a firm arm around Tyler's shoulders and leaning into him possessively. This would likely be the start of a very long cold war, one Sera desired no part in... But turning Anabelle away meant turning Tyler away, and with Kanari missing, it wouldn't have been fair for Sera to deny the extra help in finding her. She wouldn't do that to Kanari, or to Griffin. So, she would suck it up and do her best to avoid confrontation until they found their missing family member.
~Kanari > Neve~
24golu8.jpg
"Sukoshi. Wake up. We're moving out." I felt someone pushing me, then opened my eyes and shot up confused. I looked around and found that I was still in the cave, though everything except the pelts I was laying on were packed up.
"Where are we going?" I asked as I stood up and moved off the covers. She wrapped it up and put it in a bag. She put the biggest back and her loot on her back then handed me a smaller bag.
"We need supplies, and clothes." She replied as she started walking out, it wasn't really the answer to my question but I went with it. I looked back at the fire and quietly gasped when I noticed that it was covered in snow and ice. I quickly caught up to Neve and sighed as I pulled up the neck of the kimono, which was starting to fall off of my shoulder.The sky was still dark though it looked like morning would soon be upon us.
After a while of walking in silence I finally spoke. "What are you going to teach me?"
"You say you're not where you belong, you don't know what world you're in, so that means you are most likely from another world, summoned here by gods know what. Here, you need to fight to survive. You need to know exactly where you are at all times, and what might be near. And you must know how to take care of yourself if you are hurt. I will teach you these things." She answered staying a step ahead of me.
"Couldn't I just run away if there is danger?" She stopped causing me to bump into her, then she turned around and slapped me. I fell to the ground shocked with my hand on my stinging cheek.
"Running is for cowards! Cowards do not survive here. If you fear you may lose then you have already lost! What does running solve? Sure you may be safe for the moment, but the danger will always come back. There will be no running, ever. Understood?" I had no idea how to respond, I just nodded my head. She nodded back, pulled me up, and continued walking with me following close behind.
I was surprised when she slapped me, it didn't make me angry like when my mother slapped me, it actually woke me up. It was discipline, not just something to do out of fun. Her words made me think, they were inspiring.
"I know first aid, and about herbs, well, herbs in my world not this one." I said after a few minutes of pondering. "I also know about the anatomy." I added.
"Pressure points?" She asked.
"Of course. I'm a quick learner, and I read a lot. Anatomy is very interesting to me." I smiled. In the real world I was constantly trying to learn more about the body and how to heal it. I had scrounged enough money to buy a first aid kit, not one of those pathetic 'let's just give them a band-aid, rubber gloves, and alcohol wipes and call it a day' kind of kits, no, it had everything needed for any kind of emergency. It made me happy when I would bandage up someone from school, the nurse in the school clinic even let me help her with stuff. It comforted me to know that I could stop the pain in others, and one day I hoped that I would get the chance to help Griffin if he ever got hurt. I felt pain in my chest at the thought of my brother. I had to deal with the fact that I may never see him again... But that would be impossible for me.
"Good, this will be easier than I thought." This was the last thing she said for a while. We walked for the next hour in silence, until we got to the edge of the forest, where a small town could be seen in the distance.
2hdv11x.jpg
We started towards the town, I was happy to see civilization, even though it was medieval-like.
"Where are we?" I asked as we got closer.
"A small merchants' town called Eudora. I'm familiar with the inhabitants and we'll be able to get the things we need there. After a little rest we'll continue walking, maybe we'll get a horse." She answered. I groaned when she mentioned leaving so soon.
"We're not staying for a night?" I asked, I wasn't used to walking nonstop all day, sure I had endurance and stamina, but I was getting tired after all of the stress, confusion and pain I was going through.
"No, I am a traveler, so are you now, traveler's keep moving once they have the necessary rest." She answered. I scrunched my face up in protest but she ignored me as we walked.
"I have to go with Grim as well.. if any of them."
Tyler spoke up after Sera and seconded her opinion on Griffins silly names. This honestly was no time for them to truly be silly, but he couldn't help but a bit happy that they could sit and talk like this. He didn't have to worry about sleeping, for work the next day, he didn't have to live up to expectations outside of his own, he could be Tirian Bladefell and enjoy himself without thinking about the consequences. "Your, two names.." Tyler glanced between the two girls, firstly acknowledging Sera. His eyes averted for a second; and then he said what was on his mind. "Sora, Sorai Tenshi." He grinned in her direction. "It means Sky Angel." Anabelle looked to him with eyes of daggers, and he tried pretty hard in that moment to come up with a name that might be on par just to appease her ego and save a hassle, but among the names he thought of, none were very nice... Succubus, Tempest, Bell. Finally he decided to settle on the easiest option. "I actually think that Anabelle is a name that would be very acceptable in this time period so you can keep your name as it is." Tyler Spoke with confidence and glanced between the two women before continuing. "Our first priority as stated should probably be better clothes, but I don't think we have the time for all that. When we do come across a city, you two will enter first. do what you can and get some clothes for everyone, that way they don't kill you on spot for travelling with... err savages..." He was being a smart ass in consideration to Sera's proclamation of his poorly made fur garments... but she definitely was right.
Griffin spoke up again and seconded that he agreed with the current plan, all except for one small detail. "We have no way to pay for anything Tirian... We have no way to make money either, so how do you expect us to do that?" Tyler smirked to his friend and then side glanced to Sera.. "Didn't she already tell you Grim.. Use your imagination.' Sera hardly could help herself to not laugh at the comment, and Anabelle was getting more and MORE irritated as the discussion went on. She wouldn't say anything, but Tyler could see that expression she got when she was no longer amused, and was about to snap; Honestly? he did not care.
"You will have to survive with what I made for you until we get to town Anabelle. if we stay vigilant then it probably won't take too long." She scoffed in his direction but obeyed for the time. "All that said lets get going." The three and one extra all nodded almost simultaneously and at Tyler's lead they darted off into the forest.
thumb-350-152113.jpg
Tyler was fast as any deer as he darted through the forest and stayed low to the ground. Sera was not anything worse, she was probably the only one that could keep on par with Tyler if he were going at his full speed. A eerily blue moon sat in the sky and shimmered a radiant light over the scene. Too bad they had little time to stop and observe it. They would be out of the boundary set for the camp soon and then they could slow down, but to be truly safe they needed to get much further away before daybreak, only a few hours away. The crunch of each branch was subtle and loud all in the same as they approached the border but as Tirian lunged in to take another step Griffin caught sight of the subtly placed wire in his path.
"Tirian! watch out"
He shouted, and Tyler could just quickly enough side step to tumble over the wire. He groaned in pain pushing from the ground and beneath him a smudge of blood. It was not fresh, but rather very old and Griffin knew right away what it meant. "you fucking idiot... why the hell are you running with an injury like THAT!" Griffin commanded as he marched over to Tyler and hoisted him up. He knew why Tyler was doing it, but he also knew that if he continued; then Tyler would also likely die. "that is a wound that shows you are bleeding internally, the little bit of dry blood you just coughed up? That means that its starting to get infected, Tyler you need help." It was too late for him to be quiet the others would have heard it already, the consequence of him fighting the troll was finally showing outright, as Griffin moved Tyler's hand and a large red stain could be seen on the white of the sheet he wore. "fucking.. idiot..."
"We have to keep going Grim..."
"Shut the fuck up and sit down!"
"....."
~Kanari > Neve~
24golu8.jpg
When walked into town with haste. I felt eyes staring at me, most likely my oversized outfit, or maybe the markings on my face, everyone else in the town had normal human features. I sighed as I got closer to Neve.
"Mind if we get clothes first. Everyone is staring at me." I asked nervously.
"It's not the clothes they're staring at, but we can get clothes first." She answered as we walked into a building. inside were cloth and pelts that were laid out neatly. behind a counter was a woman.
"How may I help you ladies." The woman said with a smile.
"I'm looking for a traveling outfit, one that will keep the little one warm yet allow her to move around easily." Neve said as she looked through the clothes.
"Ah, I think I may have the perfect one." The woman walked to the back of the building and into a room. After a minute she came back out with a pile of leather and pelts, neatly folded in her arms.
"This (Minus the knife) was made this morning, I hope it fits." She handed Neve the clothes and lead us to the back room. "You may change in here." She said then left. Neve handed me the clothes and turned around. I sighed as I stripped, before I pulled the clothes on, though, I looked at my body. I hadn't noticed before but there were a few red lines on my legs and stomach. I traced my finger over a few, it was hard to read but there was something about dragons.
"Those marks tell a story of your people." Neve said with her back still turned to me.
"My people? But I'm human, I came from Earth. These things appeared when I came here. I don't have people here."
"Yes, your part human, which is probably why you kept you hair and eye color, and don't have as many marks as the normal ones but you're features are definitely of the Dusk Elves." She explained.
"Dusk elves? What are those?" I asked as I started to dress.
"It's said that Dusk elves have dragons within them, they are often known as the protectors and the destroyers of Dragons. They are a very rare breed of elf, which is probably why everyone was staring at you, your crescent gave it away." I looked up at her with distress yet amazement at the same time oddly enough.
"You mean there is a dragon inside me!?"
"No I doubt it. If you are not lying about being from a different world then you do not have a dragon inside you. Nor will you be able to have any powers involving dragons I'm sure." I sighed out of disappointment as I finished dressing. The outfit actually fit like a glove, and was very comfy.
"Oh. That's kind of boring." I laughed. "What do you think?" I asked. She turned around and stared at me for a moment.
"Perfect." She said as she walked out of the room with me following.
"The outfit fits, and we would like 2 more outfits like it in the same size." Neve said as she brought out a pouch of gold coins. The woman nodded, disappeared behind a door and came back out with 2 more outfits that looked a lot like the one I was currently wearing. After Neve paid in 10 gold coins we walked out and shopped among the merchants that set up shop on the side of roads in the town. We ended up getting a mule and tons of food and supplies. We then rested for an hour at the inn, paying 5 gold coins, then walked out of the town. One this she was sure to get from one of the merchants was a map or Norindul.
"I thought you knew where to go." I said as I started petting the mule as we walked.
"This is for you. Knowing the world you live in helps. learn where the towns are, the capitals, the castles, monuments, everything you can. That map has been labeled just for you. After you have learned the map by heart we will start on what herbs are located in the world, and what they do." She explained as she handed me the map. I took it and continued petting the mule.
"Oh, I see. Ok, I'll memorize this in no time." I looked over it, finding Eudora first. I was distracted by the mule nudging my arm. "You're a good little mule, I think I'll name you Sir Maddin." I giggled. Sir maddin made a noise that made me giggle more. "I think he likes the name." With that we traveled forward. As we walked, the next few hours she taught me how to tell which way was North by the stars, she told me to keep an eye out for noticeable landmarks to remember where to go if we have to come back, even how to properly read the map. It would hake me a bit to memorize the entire map, but I was determined. And the sooner I memorized it, the soon I could get to the more interesting stuff.
-Asciel's Tower: Asciel's chamber-
The sheer amount of uncertainty and fear that had built up inside Zeiry was almost uncomprehendable. The giant doors closed behind her and suddenly she was in a hall...A hall far too long to be inside the slim walls of the tower, but here it was. Giant Ivory and gold pillars reached up to the Ceiling, seeming to hold it in place as a long blue rug, decorated in Gold and white seemed to stretch from one end of the hall to the other. Girmer was in the middle of the hall and called over his shoulder, beaconing Zeiry to follow. "Hurry up, Missy! Her chamber is at the end of the hall." Zeiry nodded and stepped forward, gold flakes seeming to rise up with every step she took. Her excitement was rising now, along with fear...yes fear of the unknown. Who was this Asciel and why did she find Zeiry so important.
She came to a stop at he end of the Hall and Girmer gave a loud tap with his cane on the large, double doors. A voice echoed from the other side, like some sort of song.
"ashes to ashes...dust to dust...heros of light...heros who must...darkness will rise...cities will fall...and rise again...ashes and all..."
The words were almost haunting. Zeiry stood rooted in place as the doors opened on their own. Girmer stepped inside, but Zeiry hesitated. She gulped and clutched her staff to her chest, trembling. She waited a moment before gathering herself and stepping inside, the door closing behind her.
One inside, Zeiry froze again, staring at the large, circulat room. It was Ivory and Gold, like everything else in the city, with strange triangular patterns crisscrossing on the fllor. The gold seemed to stretch up the the ceiling and spiral up higher and higher above their heads until it reached a point. There were windows all around the room, giant windows with billowy blue curtains wafting about. To the left of the chamber were steps that decended down to the balcony that over looked the city. The sun was just starting to set, blanketing the city in a color of gold. The scene was so beautiful, that Zeiry shed a tear. She turned her gaze from it and looked about again. There were steps leading up to a second floor, that was covered in bookshelves. Books were flying about once more. Ivory statues of unicorns were scattered about, but what amazed her most was none of the scenery. Seated silently in her Ivory throne, and eterial smile on her lips, was she...The White Witch Asciel.
"Hello, Azeirath Tweedle...I have been waiting..."
Girmer was by her side, a slight frown on his face as he spoke frantically. "I insisted that she was to not daudle, but she has the attention span of a child, Asciel." Zeiry was frozen once more, unable to look away from the image of perfection and beauty staring before her. Asciel was remarkable. She was long and lean, with the grace of a swan. Long white hair, wavy, seemed to flow like a white river down her back and over her shoulders. Her eyes were shaped like almonds and were a deep amber, seeming to stand out on her pale face. Her face was flawless, as if made from pure porcelain, and when she rose, her womanly curves only made her all the more beautiful. Her dress was white with gold and blue accents, huggng tightly to her curves, yet flowing out perfect on the ends. She walked silently down the steps of her throne, raising a long arm and extending it to Zeiry as she approached. Her dresses trail was covered in intricut details of gold, swiling together more and more into confusing patterns. On her head, she wore different ordiments that Zeiry could not even describe. Her body exuded power and grace, and when she stopped in from of Zeiry, she towered over her. She reached her hand down and gently brushed her fingers over the Girl's face, her smiling seeming to deepen.
"My pretty...pretty Zeiry...how I have waited for this day...So much to tell...You have many questions, but I am afraid there are some that not even I can answer..." She stroked the girl's face some more, like a mother would do to a small child as she continued. "There are many thing for you to learn...Many things for you to discover..." Zeiry had never been touched like this and was unsure how to react, but the amount of love exuding from Asciel's eyes almost made her crumble. Tears suddenly came to her eyes, uncontrollable tears, as if the woman was a long lost friend. She grabbed Asciel's hand and leaned her face against it, sniffling softly. Asciel brought her other hand down and stroked her hair, giggling softly. "I know how confused you must be...come. I shall explain."
GM Post for ALL!
The shadows folded in like dark clouds, a miasma of mystic energy, of blackness that caught chilled the room. Glowing torches of the deepest color blue were lit upon the walls of the round room, and the pillars that held the ceiling had vines that seemed to move about like Serpents. The absence of sound was only mocked by the soft trod of a great many pairs of foot steps, and the livid red eyes of a being watched as each chair around a black stone table was filled. Each seat slid across the floor until the absence of sound returned to them once more.
293vanhelsing-egg_chamber-m.jpg
"All have gathered within the circle, and the spell that binds us to our words these days has been cast, let all speak truthfully in the presence of the Gods, the ancient halls of this temple."
Each of them agreed and the being with the largest chair took his place as the light flickered across his face for only a second. No faces could fully be seen around the table, only lips, partial parts of noses that were available by the eerie light around them, but nothing to denote anyone's faceless espionage.
"Azriel, how goes the affairs of the North?"
His voice was dark, darker than much anything most would have heard but nothing recognizable either. It swelled with power like as did its wielder.
"The Dwarves of Higimar Reach have aligned in a shaky peace treaty with the Western Giants of Death Spine. Their powers and resources will be a very difficult obstacle, should we leave them alone. However the pact they come together by is weak... and I think I have a way to handle them."
A small flap of wings could be heard from the shadow that spoke, but he ceased.
"I see... This will be your task, do not allow their treaty to become something we can fear."
Silence once again exuded over the place after the quiet agreement of the mysterious Azriel.
"Neros, the Plot of the Dead lands, the circles? have you established the location?"
Not yet... but soon..
'Very well"
The voice could have matched the temperature of the room with how chilled and raspy it was. Neros was a creature to be feared it seemed, something other-worldly perhaps, but for now he still remained quite the mystery.
"Maerick, the conquest for the Seven swords, how much longer are to fund your project before we see results?"
This time a very coy and amused tone popped into the equation.
"My calculations predict a great bit more money spent before I could show you anything that would even raise your brow milord, you know well of my experiments but thus far the swords, they elude me so. Alas it makes the chase that much better!"
The voice hissed as it grew silent and the Lord of the meeting also dismissed the comment.
More were called upon names that fell from the Lords lips and to each a new strife was unveiled. The network of webs that was in the process of being weaved at this time was mind boggling to say the least. Those things prior mentioned, The Ravaging of the Wood Elven trees lead by the mighty Lord Raigath, the Domination of the Wolves in the Werewood by the General Haurisawn, Ancient ruins, the assassination of a target, A war upon the Chastin lands, and capture of the Dragons of old. So many webs weaved and yet none brought back much the blood and coin spent to weave them. A disturbing fact for the lord as he settled his hands over the table and when he spoke this time, he did not single a person out, this time he spoke to all of his gathered Sentinels.
"The time of the Heroes of old, the Prophecy of those come by a jaded future has come. Just today two unlikely children in the grand scheme with much inferior skill killed Trosk the Troll of the woods. Thus far they raise us no quarry, but I expect in time their will be things we must worry over. You all will do well to accomplish the tasks I have set for you before then, but surely one of you has the time to do as I bid. Who will go to stomp out this seed before it blooms into a tree we can not so easily cut?"
"I will go... You know well that my targets never are to see three more days of light after they are chosen. I already have lain my seed and cast my shadow over the man you picked prior... sure as I am a ghost, the man is already dead; and just hasn't realized it yet."
"You will take this task?"
"I will relish this task!"
"Go."
I studied the map without looking up for some time now, Sir Maddin was basically leading me. This world was definitely amazing, I found so many places that I wanted to visit, but there was one place that piqued my interest the most. A large library to the North. Ooooh the books they must have, I needed to go.
"Hey Ne... Oof!" One moment I was walking as I studied the next I was on my stomach with my face planted in the ground. It was so fast I had no idea what was going on. I felt a hand on the back of my head.
"You need to focus on your surroundings, no matter what." I heard Neve say up to my ear.
"What on Earth are you doing!?" I yelled, frustrated. She pushed my head further into the dirt.
"It's Norindul, and don't talk back to the one pinning you down." She said after one more push then pulled me up. I brushed off the dirt from my face and clothes and picked up the map.
"How did you do that?" I asked curiously as I folded the map neatly and put it in one of the pouches Sir Maddin was carrying.
"You use your opponents momentum against them. While they are moving forward or even backwards, place your foot in front of their feet and kick back and your arm on the top of their back, and push. You can change it depending on which way they are walking and which way you want them to fall, but that's the basic move. As long as you can reach their back, even with just a hand, you can do this move. Try it on me." She explained then started walking past me. I did as she said but because she was much taller than me I could only push with my hand. It didn't do anything, she just kept walking.
"What!" I pouted. "I did what you told me to do."
"Again." She ordered but continued to walk. I caught up and tried again but it still didn't work."Keep trying until you do it." I sighed and after several time I finally got her to at least stumble, which was better than nothing. I panted as I thought of what I was doing wrong. Maybe she didn't give all of the information... Wait, before she said it would be easier since I knew pressure points, there is a pressure point on the upper back between the shoulder blades.
"Hmmm..." I tried again, this time slamming my hand between her shoulder blades. My hand continued forward along with her body, and she was soon face down into the ground. I jumped up and cheered. "Yes! I did it! That was awesome!"
Neve stood up and brushed off her kimono. "Good job. One more time."
"Ok." I smiled. She began walking again and I started the attack but before I placed my hand on her back she leaned left and grabbed my wrist, jabbing the pressure point there which left a sting pain and forcibly relaxed hand, then kicked her leg back which lifted my body over her shoulder and onto the ground. "HEY! I can't do that!" I yelled as I jumped up, rubbing my wrist.
"I know, think of how you can avoid that now." She ordered. We started walking again and I thought hard the 'homework' she gave me.
Airport ➳ Vanished ➳ In Front of a Large Lake ➳ Deep Within the Forest of Norindul
"Ticket?"
"Here," Aneira muttered. She handed a woman her plane ticket. After she finished packing, Aneira rode a cab to the airport. She felt relieved she was receiving a break. Aneira was looking forward to seeing her siblings, Kian and Kyna. She texted them before she arrived at the airport, assuring them she was on her way.
"There you go, have a nice flight!" she chirped politely.
"Hn," Aneira grunted. She grasped her ticket and entered the tunnel. Suddenly, a bright light engulfed her form, blinding her completely. Aneira stiffened. She dropped her ticket and clutched her chest. A burning sensation formulated inside her heart. "What the f-ck-" she didn't have time finishing her sentence. A bloodcurdling scream pierced through the tunnel, resonating off the walls. After the light dimmed, Aneira Dragomir was gone. Her backpack and clothes remained. Her ticket fell ominously on top of her signature leather jacket. Her cellphone buzzed, but she wasn't there to answer it
A soft groan escaped her lips. A splitting migraine pierced through her skull. She felt like she was mauled and ripped apart. Her body ached. A soft breeze circulated past her, nipping at her skin. Her eyes snapped open. Breeze? How could a plane produce a-she cut herself off. Her amber irises fixated on a clear blue sky. Light seeped past the trees, beaming down on her form. Aneira rose into a sitting position. "What the hell?" she began. Aneira observed her surroundings. She was laying on a grassy bank. A large, pristine lake was in front of her. A shiver surged down her spine. Why did she feel cold? Aneira peered down at her body. Her eyes widened completely. A scream tore through her throat. "What the f-ck, man? Why am I naked? What's going on? Where am I?" Unfortunately, her questions weren't answered. She was alone, in middle of a vast forest. Aneira scrambled to her feet, stumbling towards the beautiful lake. Most of her body was covered in tattoos. She inspected her reflection. A frown marred her lips. Her vision was sharper, more enhanced. Her left side bang grew longer, brushing against her neck. Aneira dipped her fingers in the water. It was ice cold. However, it felt soothing. Normally, she hated colder water, but that feeling diminished. It was surprisingly comforting. What happened to her? She felt different. "I'm alone, that's a plus," she muttered. She needed to find something to clothe her. She refused to wander around this forest, stark naked. Her slender, developed body would attract attention, especially her tattoos. Aneira lifted her head and scanned the area. Somehow, this forest looked ancient. She didn't recognize any foliage. Her amber gaze filled with confusion. How was this possible? She had to be dreaming! It was a elaborate, vivid dream. Aneira pinched her arm; nothing. She slapped her face as hard as she could; nothing. Panic clawed at her heart maliciously, filling her soul with anxiety. This can't be real! It was impossible! Humans don't transport into a magical world! This wasn't a crazed story created by a young author! Aneira rubbed her face subconsciously. Hopefully, she didn't give herself a bruise.
"Well, it looks like I'm not in Kansas anymore," Aneira quoted. A sigh escaped her lips. She didn't know how to react anymore. She wasn't waking up. She wasn't on a plane flying to her younger sibling-oh god! Kyna! Kian! What would happen to them? She doubted she disappeared smoothly. Was she dead? Was this the afterlife? Was she a victim of a plane crash? All she could remember is entering the tunnel, a blinding light, and burning pain. Aneira looked around the bank. She swore in response. None of her belongings transferred, including her clothes. "I must be dead," she muttered. It was a logical explanation. She didn't believe in fairy tales. She wasn't a five year old girl with a overactive imagination. Aneira ran a hand through her hair, tucking her bangs behind her ear. She breathed in deeply and exhaled through her nostrils. Despite her hysteria, it was important she remained calm. She would find a solution to her dilemma. Aneira needed to find her answers. She doubted she was the only human inside this forest. She was bound to run into someone later. Aneira looked down. "Not traveling naked," she muttered. Aneira stood up straight and searched the area, finding something that she could use as a makeshift outfit. It was better than exploring this forest in her birthday suit.
A few minutes later, her search failed. Aneira cursed in her native language, Russian. A scowl carved into her expression. She didn't have a choice. Aneira searched for a weapon, anything she could use. If she was going to enter a forest naked, she would be prepared. The last thing she needed was a pervert. Moments later, Aneira located a thick, sturdy stick. It reminded her of a bow staff. A scoff escaped her lips. "Is that it?" she growled. Aneira picked it up, nonetheless. She was in a foreign world, completely alone. Tch! She preferred being dead. It would make everything easier. Aneira wasn't afraid to die. Due to her violent nature, her chances of meeting lady death herself was pretty high. She didn't care, however. She wouldn't change her attitude, not by a long shot. After Aneira picked up her stick, she scaled up a mossy rock wall, avoiding slippery spots. She hauled herself over the edge, exiting the lake covered by walls. Aneira dusted herself off, acquiring a few scrapes from her climb. Aneira gazed into the dense forest, straining her eyes for any movement. She gripped her stick in anticipation. When the coast was clear, Aneira trudged forward, starting her journey. She had no destination in mind. She loathed the fact she had nothing to cover herself. All she found were tiny leaves and flimsy vines. How could she make an outfit out of plants? She wasn't a fairy. Frankly, the supernatural didn't exist. Unbeknownst to her, her assumption was incorrect.
"At least I'm comfortable with my body," Aneira mumbled.
~Kanari > Neve~
The entire time we were walking she had me maneuver around her as she jabbed her hands at me. I could only dodge a few and it was purely by accident. I soon collapsed panting on a hill.
"We're almost there, do you see it?" Neve said as she stood next to Sir Maddin. I looked to see a city nearby.
It was a city that was surrounded by a large circular wall. From what I could see the city's streets were cobble stone and the buildings are very Victorian. Atop the walls I could faintly see cloaked figured in midnight blue robes, and the sigil of an arcane circle with scroll of runes overlapping it. The city was huge and had water ways like Venice Italy but more of a white silver, gray blue and gold color scheme. over the wall appears to be a large barrier like bubble that blacks any entry, Beside the one door way, which is opened through the Sentinels on the wall focusing together to shift the parted stone walls, reveal a gigantic gate.
"Wow, it's pretty." I said as I stood back up.
"Yes, it is. There is also a library there."
"What! That mean.." I squealed with joy, if there was one thing I loved it was manuals and books. "Would there be books about herbs in Norindul?" I asked as we started walking to the city.
"I'm almost positive there are." I smiled at her words. Soon we were staring up at the wall, a large grin covered my face, then we stepped through the gates.
"Welcome to the High Rest." Neve stated. I looked around and took in the sight.
"Whoa... Take me to the library!" I demanded with excitement in my voice. Neve chuckled and started walking, I skipped beside her, and Sir Maddin followed behind. At the end of the road we turned on was a large building. We stepped up the steps, Sir Maddin tried to follow but we told him to stay at the bottom of the steps, and he obeyed. Neve opened the large double doors and I marveled at all of the books as we walked in.
"Its so amazing." I cheered quietly as I ran to a shelf of books and searched for books on herbs. I had a feeling my search would take long.
