Personality: Yomi is...off. On the surface, a stoic, level-headed girl. Underneath, not really all there. She's suffered abuse from her great grandfather all her life, and even after his final death, is unable to move on from it, continuing to pursue the family goals even if there's nothing stopping her from packing up and sodding off.
Bio: Zouken Matou is dead, but his legacy continues. Sakura Matou is dead, but her purpose has been passed on. Yomi is now the head of house matou, and she is determined to see that the matous win this time...even if it kills her.
Magus rank: A
Magical background: What Yomi lacks in mobility, she makes up for in sheer prana and magical prowess. The latest in a long line of Zouken's adopted heirs, Yomi has been repeatedly infested day-in and day-out with crest worms since the age of six, a 'purification' process that has deadened her legs to near-uselessness, but given her uncanny ability in magecraft and a huge supply of magical stamina, with more just waiting where the bugs can chew. She's no combat magus with her disability, but she learns to make do.
Yomi possesses the Mystic Eyes of charm. She is competent at water magic, bounded fields, and spiritual summoning. The hallmark of her magic is the infusion of crest worms into the more exclusive breeds of native japanese spirits: the huge dragon-shaped inugami, and the elusive kitsune. She controls a moderate number of them at a time, re-purposing them for protection and offence, and while either are leagues above a dragon tooth warrior, and, in groups, capable of posing a danger to a skilled combat mage...They're not Servants, nor do they serve as anything more than a glorified distraction for all but the weakest, most prana-starved heroic spirits.
One more detail:
She is also the shadow grail; the successor project to Zouken's earlier attempt at his very own lesser grail.
But lesser is the keyword when comparing her to Sakura's Matou's 'special' affinity. She spews no shadows, she cannot repurpose servants into dark variants of their former selves. She is a usurper without the natural means to usurp...But the matou are prepared. They have been buying up property, usurping leylines. Huge chunks of the west side of the big bridge favors the shadow grail. If the servant dies on the west side, there's a good chance she'll end up absorbing it. If the servant dies on the east side of the bridge, where the church and the harbor lies, or anywhere on the outskirts like the einzbern castle and the temple, they go to the einzbern grail.
Additionally, Yomi's servant acts as her extension, her own quasi-shadow, her agent of infection. If her servant makes the kill, she gets it. If her servant inflicts sufficiently grievous injuries on another servant, and he/she dies shortly after for whatever reasons, she gets it. Due to a certain modification to her shadow grail, she can 'leak' power to her servant from the assimilated spirits, taking the highest non-np, non-skill stat of her absorbed heroic spirits and increasing her own servant's parameter by a single rank, or where applicable, modifier per servant, with the maximum being an A+. As she grows weaker due to the influx of spirits, her quasi-shadow grows ever slightly stronger.
Gear: Wheelchair. It's the best.
