It was hot, a hot that only happened during the summer. Wade need to find some water quick or he might as well be a goner. It has been two months since he ran away from his "home." he tried his girlfriend's house, but her parents kicked her out too. He had all of his saving, about 1000 dollars and nothing more to his name. After a month in the city, it was gone. The woods were Wade's only hope then. He remembered his father teaching him some things about surviving in the wild, but it was very basic and not helpful now.
He started to the creek sluggishly. It was low, but he didn't mind. Slowly he drank. Then, he heard a dog and a voice. Quickly, he dove for the bushes, but the dog had already seen him.
Shit, Shit, Shit, he thought quietly to himself.
