Awwww he's so adorable. Grey might almost feel bad when he blows his head off.

"Known to the Aztecs as huauhtli,[10] it is thought to have represented up to 80% of their caloric consumption before the conquest. Another important use of amaranth throughout Mesoamerica was to prepare ritual drinks and foods. To this day, amaranth grains are toasted much like popcorn and mixed with honey, molasses or chocolate to make a treat called alegría, meaning "joy" in Spanish. Diego Duran described the festivities for Huitzilopochtli, whose name means "hummingbird of the left side" or "left-handed hummingbird". (Real hummingbirds feed on amaranth flowers.) The Aztec month of Panquetzaliztli (7 December to 26 December) was dedicated to Huitzilopochtli. People decorated their homes and trees with paper flags; there were ritual races, processions, dances, songs, prayers, and finally human sacrifices. This was one of the more important Aztec festivals, and the people prepared for the whole month. They fasted or ate very little; a statue of the god was made out of amaranth (huautli) seeds and honey, and at the end of the month, it was cut into small pieces so everybody could eat a little piece of the god. After the Spanish conquest, cultivation of amaranth was outlawed, while some of the festivities were subsumed into the Christmas celebration."
"In a 1977 article in Science, amaranth was described as "the crop of the future."[12] It has been proposed as an inexpensive native crop that could be cultivated by indigenous people in rural areas for several reasons:
- It is easily harvested.
- Its seeds are a good source of protein. Compared to grains, amaranth is unusually rich in the essential amino acid lysine.[13] Common grains such as wheat and corn are comparatively rich in amino acids that amaranth lacks; thus, amaranth and grains can complement each other.[14][15][16]
- The seeds of Amaranthus species contain about thirty percent more protein than cereals like rice, sorghum and rye.[14] In cooked and edible forms, amaranth is competitive with wheat germ and oats - higher in some nutrients, lower in others.[17]
- It is easy to cook.
- As befits its weedy life history, amaranth grains grow very rapidly and their large seedheads can weigh up to 1 kilogram and contain a half-million seeds in three species of amaranth."
"A traditional food plant in Africa, amaranth has the potential to improve nutrition, boost food security, foster rural development and support sustainable land care... It is recommended by some doctors for people having low red blood cell count"
"Greeks stop harvesting the plant (which also grows wild) when it starts to bloom at the end of August."
"In Brazil, green amaranth (Amaranthus viridis L.) was, and to a degree still is, frequently regarded as an invasive species as all other species of amaranth"
Appearance: Blonde and ivory-skinned, his big dark eyes look stand out more for the contrast. With a seemingly permanent expression, this kid is almost laughable, except there's something about him that radiates danger... until you see the bright pink shirt under his stylishly-cut flack jacket. Always standing like he's in boot camp, and talking only when spoken to, one can see why he's considered the prodigal son of their militaristic regime.
Sexuality: Likely straight. It will one day be his duty to pass on the genes of a FABRE agent.
Nationality: Finnish
True Name: Vasili
Power: Kinetic Distribution.
Personality: 8 going on 80, Amaranth is very serious. He takes his job seriously, he thinks others should as well, and he looks down on anyone who doesn't. He is only mildly bothered by people not taking him seriously at first, unless it's discussing missions and plans and his logic is not being followed out of sheer dismissal for his age.
- Slow down and speed up objects in motion - note the AND
- May speed up a punch to empower it, but must slow down motion of feet
- May slow down a heartbeat so an enemy doesn't bleed out before feeding interrogation, but must speed up his own
- May speed up a getaway car, but must slow down cars around them
- May slow down bullet as it nears an ally, but must speed up ally to help them get out of the way
- Can save up energy from smaller movements and convert them into potential energy to be used without spending its reverse; however, cannot use ability without using reserve
- May distribute reserves to teammates so that they last longer in battle
- As a residual passive, Amaranth thinks very quickly, able to perceive things with greater clarity despite action of motion
- If he's abused his abilities, he becomes very sluggish
Likes: Respect, Effeciency, and... candy. Oh, my god, CANDY! (he avoids it for the life of him, but if insisted, he can't help himself, and all that potential energy in the sugar... it gets to him)
Dislikes: Candy! ... not really. He dislikes vegetables, but eats them. Really, he only dislikes unwarranted disrespect, laziness, and failure.
Skills: Marksmanship, obstacle courses, and survival training. He was also notably good at baking, not that he enjoys this information getting back around to him.
Short bio: Finnish law requires secondary-school graduates to attend two years of military training, so all citizens are capable of protecting themselves and their country. However, they are also given 5 years leave for mother and father both to raise their child into a productive member of society and avoid issues like postpartum. So when the government was approached about testing their children for an anti-terrorist group, there were mixed reviews, those who were proud of the military background of Finland, and those who wanted every minute of their leave with their newborns until that unfortunate time that they lost access to their magic. Inevitably, they distributed the tests amongst the clinics as part of the usual two-year check-up for all citizens. Because of this, many of the soldiers come from Finland.
Amaranth is proud of to serve his country as part of FABRE. He hopes to return a hero to prove the importance of the agency and make Finland as proud of him as he is of his homeland. He scored high marks in all of his training, most notably in survival techniques (in all categories, on land, at sea, underground, marshland, desert, even in the sky/space) and marksmanship. It was rumored for a while he was using his ability to effect the bullets so that they always landed in the center of a target, or reduced the impact of assault weapons, but the bruises and scars across his shoulders and lack of his own movement proved otherwise, instigating an infamy within the amongst the color brigade.

Some changes. Not big, but if you object let me know.
1) We are allowing more people. Woo! On a condition of being a child. We need more children. MUWAHAHAHA
2) Jerelin is a co-GM. Woo! It's as a result of allowing more people.
3) Not really a change, but how do you guys feel about this going somewhat long term? If we do go long term, what might be an issue now that might make you leave later?
@redlemonaide
You can join! You would have to be pink or brown or another color not stated. Another condition is you being from the age 6 - 13.
@Victor Markov
Same applies to you above
"That doesn't make sense," Amaranth whispers with a smirk, "As soon as the bullet passes from your mouth through your cerebral cortex, you shouldn't feel bad, good, or anything at all. That's the point of suicide, numb-nuts."Awwww he's so adorable. Grey might almost feel bad when he blows his head off.
I dont know what to put for relationships... i mean I don't know how she would react to them all. Ill try to get this done soon. xD
Well it's nice to see others joining the avoid black band wagon. It's actually ok I kinda wanted black to be an island with a couple of close people. That and I'm still deciding on if I want blacks other Personality take control.
It's cool that others are taking interest, but I worry if they leave that it would leave up creek without a paddle.
Sorry if this sounds like a rant. I don't get on the ooc enough so a lot of my opinions come in lump sums.
If it honestly worries you, think about it like this. The more people who join, the more people who can jump ship without leaving the rp up the creek without a paddle. :)
Edit: kindlesucks. Sorry for two posts in a row.

If you're not getting notifications, check your Watched Threads list. If you've got a bunch in there, try cleaning up some of the ones you're no longer participating in - should clear it up and get you notices for the stuff that you are participating in.@redlemonaide don't worry about it. Sometimes notifications just don't come in and the messages just pile up and then I have to read a novel of conversation to pick out what's relevant to me XD

@Bebepiggles: Good to be here! Thanks for the warm welcome ^_^ Sorry about all the posts. V_V

Sorry, I have a terrible habit of making my jokes too long - which kinda suits Aramanth. He... would be bad at jokes anyway. lol Grey is also male, so it's kind of a play on words with he/his... so the wording is assumed as: "Grey might almost feel bad when [Grey] blows [Grey's own] head off." ... then [insert what Aramanth says here]. Phrasing! Not even sure what you just said.
