The very though of having the grand champion of hide and go seek exploring the countryside with a trigger happy pyro didn't sit well in his mind. "Uh you know what we can just report back to base later. So who wants to go exploring as a group. TOGETHER." He says rubbing Gwen's head making sure to stress the last part the most knowing that if she was given full reign then she would have the entire wastland upon their front door step expecting an apology. "Hey Pyro Jack your all right with coming along with us just a bit longer before we head back right?" Raven asked looking at sky seeing that they still had a fair bit of time before the freaks come out during the night. Meeting up with that settlement did sound like a good idea that and possibly accepting a job to take out that super mutant camp might be even better for their rep and pockets. Making up his mind on the matter he steeled himself for the day ahead of him and took solace in the fact that at least Kickass was safe, but when he got back they were going to be drinking until the sun rises.

He nodded several times over to Gwen's idea, letting her statement flow through one ear and travel up his brain as he began to make a judgement. Going with her would definently be a good way to have some form of fun out here in the waste... on the other hand, Pyro felt the hungering gnawing at him, rumbling even to the point where the others would be able to hear it, causing Pyro to grow somewhat uncomfortable. He tightened his grip on his torch, and lowered it down somewhat to his head level, allowing him to sense the heat through his bandana. He looked over towards the recent figure, his statement feeling alien to Pyro. Pyro Jack? He knew his nickname was Pyro, but Jack? Where did he come up with that? He felt his mind spin as he tried to comprehend why he'd add Jack to it, until he realised he was over thinking all of it. "Sure, can't be too shabby to keep on exploring, as long as there's a tree every now and again... and maybe some tender. And a gecko would hit the spot. I trust you two know the way, I'll be the backpack for you two." He said willingly, taking ahold of his flamethrower he had left dangling for quite a bit, his finger remaining off the trigger but on the handle. As the fire in the back began to die down, his mind felt somewhat weakening... Pyro could last quite a bit longer without fire, but the sooner: the better.

"Yay! This will be so much fun! Ooh! Let's go to the city first! We can find food there, and I bet there will be stuff to burn there along the way, and we may even find something to burn and eat!" Wielding a camera in her left hand and waving wildly with her right for them to follow, she bears a childish grin, beginning to half walk, half skip away in the general direction, as if implying she wouldn't wait for them. "Oh! And if we have enough caps, we can even get something cool to bring back, like a fancy gun or some robot, and we can say Pyro found it so they'll like him! And then we can introduce him to everyone, and I can introduce me to everyone I didn't talk to as I ran off to explore..."

To stop the running waterfall of words coming from Gwen's mouth Raven put up 1 finger to get her to pause for a few seconds. "Okay guys we're gonna play a small game which is known as the quiet game. The first one to speak has to buy both of the winners anything that they choose understand?" Raven could not fucking believe that he now had to resort to a tactic that his mother used to use on him when he was younger just to get him to shut up. Taking off his helmet for a second he pulled out a cigarette and put it in his mouth while lighting it as he needed something to help him get through this little trip towards the new city. "Eh but when we get near it i'll probably just lose on purpose because after all she is just a kid who wants to play explorer when you think about it." Deciding that getting a move on now would be a good thing he started to move in the direction while saying, "Also the game starts now."

Pyro zit his lip quickly once the adult figure said the game started now. He didn't really want to get on his bad side, and if they were true about the loser having to buy two people something they want... he couldn't really afford that. He began to tag along the other two, walking into the wastes with them. He knew it would get very boring quickly if he did listen to the game: but he had another plan. He lobbed the flamethrower over to his side, swinging it over to his backpack. He reached for his pocket, taking out a small, brown-coloured rectangular shaped object, and began to strike his thumb against one of it's ends, beginning to spark up some form of flames in the device. The word 'Tinderbox' appeared to be engraved on the side. He kept on walking with them, his eyes focused purely on the lighter as they went on and on into the wasteland, Pyro himself having no clue of what would happen.

As they all travelled and progress with work the day itself continued as well. By the time they had reached the city, the sun was on it's descent, though it was still fairly bright out and suggested that they had at the least 2 or 3 hours before they needed to head back. When they arrived they were immediately greeted by massive wooden walls, and looking around would suggest that they had gotten the wood from an extremely large amount of houses that had used to be here since their foundations and concrete basement floors were still around, becoming makeshift pitfalls. The wall had one entrance, and at said entrance there were 2 Protectrons and 1 Sentry bot. There was also a human there, wearing what looked to be very worn down but powered Power Armor, he had a Minigun in his hands and a Sniper Rifle on his back, and behind him and the bots was a large wooden entrance door that could only be opened from the other side. The door itself was easily 15-20 feet high and 20-30 feet wide, and had intricate carvings of what looked like Gods, Super Mutants, and Humans all co-existing in a circle.
The Man in power armor had quickly noticed the 3 of them and hauled up his Minigun as the 2 Protectrons and the singular Sentry Bot faced towards them, seemingly prepared to attack. "HALT!" The man yelled aloud, as he walked towards them. "PUT YOUR HANDS WHERE I CAN SEE 'EM OR YOU WONT HAVE HANDS ANYMORE!" He continued as he aimed the Minigun menacingly at them.

Meanwhile at the camp, most of the members that had gotten here the day previous, with the previous overseer, weren't taking the New overseer seriously, and had mostly ignored her commands. While the new ones that had arrived listened flawlessly. Most of the wall had been built with their scrap metal, consuming 1 unit of metal, while the Water Purifying System had been built. However the rest of the wall could not be built, as they no longer had anymore metal to use, and thus they had a very large glaring hole on the right side of the entire settlement. The Trader had also said alloud that he would only be staying until only the early morning of the next day as well, and would be sleeping outside if they needed anything, before said trader pulled out an old pre-war porn magazine and started reading it as his bodyguards lazed about in a lazy perimeter around him, his brahmin had it's cargo taken off and it seemingly went to 'mingle' with the other 2 Brahmin that this Vault-City had arrived with, which had surprisingly not wandered off, and were near the completed side of the wall.

Seeing that the man held up a minigun towards them Raven dropped his gun and held up his hands in a sign of surrender. "Just hold up there Walker Texas Ranger we don't want no trouble. As you can see we're just a couple of travelers walking through the wasteland trying to find a safe place to stay tonight." Thinking fast he looked at Gwen and Pyro pulling them close while patting them on their heads. "These are my two kids Gwen and Jack who I wanted to get someplace safe fast because as you know this wasteland is no place for kids of their age." Taking off his helmet he looked at the man with the most desperate look he had as if he meant every word he just said. "So please sir we shall hand over all our weapons to you just so long as we are allowed a place to stay." After saying that he gave Gwen and Pyro a slight nudge to get them to play along with the whole act.

Lisa
Well, there was a new Overseer because the last one could have been buried in a soup can. She giddily took her power plant blueprints and waved it in front of the newbie. "Well, now that we have a renewing water supply, next up is power, right?" Aggressive blueprint waving. "I hope that will be priority since I finished the blueprint already. We'll just wait for the bottom feeders to bring something back for us." Of course... "Now, do you have something new on the design list? Might as well use some time where we can't really build anything to get some stuff down the pipe, right? Oh, and one more thing since I haven't introduced myself. My name is Lisa Basil. Yes, I know my name is a palindrome. No, I have no idea why my mother was so cruel. It's nice to meet you."

[fieldbox=George Bywater, blue, dotted]George jumped and instinctively pulled his revolver when the overseer was shot. He looked up towards the bandit and saw him blown to kingdom come. He sighed, no stranger to death. He holstered his revolver and shook his head to clear it.

George approached who seemed to be the new overseer, and introduced himself as before. "What can I do? I'm keen to start scavenging some spots," he asked[/fieldbox]

Pyro felt a sudden adrenaline rush flip over him as he heard the sudden yelling. He threw his hands up in the air, clearly startled by the sudden yelling as he began to examine what was happening around him, eyeing Raven, Gwen and the power-armor fellow. He yelped "I was just looking around- I promise I got no heat on me-" before he quickly silenced himself. He glanced over to Raven, saying the name 'Jack' again. It annoyed him greatly, having been given an entirely new name from someone he just met. Pyro sure as hell didn't feel like a slave to this guy, and would've started a heated arguement if it wasn't for the minigun waved infront of him. The lighter in his hand began to lick the clothing he was wearing on him, causing the fire to spread over to his overall clothing: seemingly absorbing the fire rather well, letting it linger on as Pyro kept on staring towards the power-armor fellow, trying to make sure not to drop his arms: not even for the fire.

Staring at the power armored man with the minigun with a bit of bewilderment, Gwen glances over at her two traveling companions, only to see Pyro somehow on fire and Raven disarming himself. A sly grin on her face, she mutters to them, "I win! You gotta get me something now!." as she takes a step away from Raven, rooting through her trenchcoat to follow his example, placing both her Glock and camera on the ground. Then, raising her hands above her head, waving one at the man, shouts, "Hello! We don't want any trouble! Its just like Raven said, we just wanna place to stay and maybe get some supplies! If we can't, we can just leave!"

The Minigun wielding man watched as they started to put their weapons on the ground but became quickly startled about Pyro's current condition. "Shit! You two! Put him out and take the lighter from him! Hurry! Before he dies!" The man stated, he was seemingly panicking at the moment, his Minigun dropping from being aimed that them and instead at their feet because he wasn't focusing. They could hear the urgency in his voice as he watched on, seemingly worried for Pyro's health.

Aimee looked over to the new scavenger and Boom Boom, "Most of the scavengers are out right now. It would be most helpful if you can actually look for whatever Ms. Basil with whatever material she needs. As for you Mr. Jones I think you and Ms. Basil will work along side each other famously maybe while she tackled electricity you can aid the vault or help with her building."

Looking over at Emil, "I believe you are correct. If you want I can try to help but I can't promise anything, otherwise I plan on doing some gardening."

"If it's all the same, I'm godawful at scavenging. It's why it took me so long to get here." Aiden patted the grenades on his chest. "I am, however, pretty good at blowing things up. If we're going to make a sustainable home here in the mountain, you'll be needing some excavation done, and my bombs make great demo charges. Could save us a ton of time and energy." He looked over to Lisa and sized her up. "Though I think me and Ms. Basil here can get quite a lot of work done together. Us Boomers know how to recycle every bit of scrap available, and we're damn good at building things. You give me the blueprints and the parts, and I can get your generator running with no problem. I figure if I can keep this little guy running, I can make anything you'll come up with." he said, stroking Beau's casing affectionately. "You're a scribe, yeah? Think you could draw me up some plans for a cyberdog when we get some downtime? Beau here's great for a lot of things, but protection ain't one of them."

Pyro was quickly caught by surprise by the man's urgency to help him, as he himself glanced over towards his hand engulfed in flames. He couldn't really feel the heat disturbing him or biting into his flesh, and just looked over to the man. He began to lower his hands down and examined himself- noticing he himself was on fire. He was quick to drop down and roll, laughing somewhat as his mind felt the anxiety of the situation melt away- the burning not seemingly biting into his skin, although it's clear it's holding a presensce. The flames were forced aside, squashed or pushed by the ground beneath them as Pyro did drop-and-roll like he had done numerous times before. "Don't mind me- it's just some form of critical failure with tinderbox every now and again!" his voice seemingly quaffed by the smoke arising from his clothing. He looked over towards Gwen, beaconing her to join him with the drop-and-roll, the flames finally appearing to have died out after a few minutes of fighting it. He pushed himself up from the ground, seemingly not even touched by the flames as he raises his hands back up calmly. He continues on saying-

"So uh... any Bar-bee-que's around? I could help with cooking if it'll get us inside and all." he yelled towads the man as he shut his lighter off. Aside from some burn marks on his clothing, it seems like the teenager came out of the flames- surprisingly- untouched by any of it. You might even guess that he had just gone off for a bath with the kind of attitude he was expressing, calm and light-hearted.

  • Not sure if overseer's owner ignores tabs or has nothing to say to the other two characters of mine.

  • "I'll be fine. If anything, I've already almost depleted most of the metal - it is not easy exactly economical to build a wall this long. Scavengers better come back with something useful..."
Emil shrugged in response, then proceeded to work.
  • Lady remained watching Emil's back, and after he finished what he could, she kept watching the gap in the wall, just to make sure nobody sneaks in.

  • "So, do we do anything with the stiff, o' Mother Gaia, great gardener of the worlds? I'd rather start as soon as possible, because in this heat, stuff gets rotty pretty fast. Or do you mean to use him for fertilizer? I'm cool either way."
Hacksaw said with a mix of mock and jest in his voice. He wasn't really bothered by the corpse or what it is supposed to mean to anyone.

The Minigun wielder looked at them, studying them for a few seconds, before aiming his Minigun away from them and speaking as the 3 bots powered down into Standby. "Sorry about that. We had a few raiders trying to get in here by tricking me and i had to be sure that you weren't going to try anything. Feel free to head on inside. And i think there's some BBQ's inside. Just stay out of trouble, and we won't have any problems." The Minigun wielder said all of this with a small smile, though it went unseen because of his power armors mask. The man turned around and easily pushed open the 2 massive wooden doors for them to walk through, and closed it when/if they entered.
