Columbia, once a beacon to behold. The brightest and most glorified of cities, with the ability to nearly touch heaven. Father Zachary Comstock leading on proudly with every intention of a good Shepard tending to his flock. But that was decades ago. Decades since, bitter sin was uncovered. Sweet blood was spilled in the streets of sunlight. A city once so proud and mighty, turned to ruin by a man's cruel intent. Now, the city hangs by a thread. Still hanging by a thread of ruin, dangling over the edge of complete destruction. Her population, once a proud mighty people have become insane religious zealots. Praying to a liar's prophet, begging him to return their beloved city. To bring The Rapture to broken Columbia.
But nestled away, deep within the heart of the city there is a monument of the masked angel. The angel of mercy. Once more, a monument is burdened with a child that is believed to be a savior of the city. A child's innocence the answer to every prayer and hope of the destroyed minds of the broken population. Once more the Songbird has someone to protect from the cruelty of the city that has fallen.
