Welcome to F.A.N.G.
lemurian_squad_wip_by_peterprime-d5rqkl6.jpg

We are the guys and gals keeping the creepy crawlers out from underneath your bed, and the boogyman outta your closet. We are employed by the UN, to keep the monsters that are scattered across this world secret, and outta the view from the media. We started back in the colonial days, before the Revolutionary War. Pretty soon, we spread from Britain, to France, to Spain, and eventually we reached the colonies.
s0ucj.jpg

Some of the stories you mightve heard growing up were sorta true.
Little Red Riding Hood and the Woodsman? One of our agents targeted by "Big Bad", the most notorious werewolf we have encounter, and have yet to put down. They are still around actually, both actually not being human.
The Headless Horseman? Actually one of our supernatural soldiers hunting down a vampire hive in Sleepy Hollow. He is around too, pretty good guy if you can get past the headless part.
Hansel and Gretel? Yeah that one was pretty spot on. Damn witches love their candy.

Fast forward a couple of decades, and we find ourselves in the present. Monsters and demons are still stepping outta line, and we gotta push them back in. Not all are bad, some we even let into are ranks after some training and test. Hell you might be one of them right now.
d02379a10c295918a328b667685a89aa.jpg

Some have even taken to researching them, and draining their supernatural essence, and turning it into a usable thing by select soldiers. You might know it as magic.

Well thats all for now. Feel free to explore the base, make some friends, and be ready for the unexpected. The Supernatural can strike at anytime.

1.) Be nice to each other!
2.) Have fun.
3.) Make your character Unique, even if they are based upon a fairy tale.
4.) Don't make your character too overpowered. They aren't gonna be killing a dragon without a burn or two :)

Agent Headless, or Agent H

Around 260 Years Old
Species: Fairy Tale
Rather Hard to give a description without a head. About 6'0, muscular, and prefers a suit tailored to resemble Revolutionary War clothes.
A rather gruff, and rude man towards strangers and new comers. Stick around for a while, gain his trust, and you just might find yourself a loyal friend.

Agent Headless strong points are guerrilla tactics, using a wide array of weaponry to take out targets.
Headless falls short in diplomatic situations, being hardheaded (no pun intended) he disagrees with shaking hands, and prefers stabbing knives.

Agent Headless is a Fireteam leader, using little tech, magic, and usually doesn't let anyone to close to use their fist. He takes baddies out with assault rifles, sniper rifles, and pistols before they know what hit him.
Headless is more or less entirely magic. Nearly unkillable, supernatural strength and stamina, and no head might all factor as magic abilities

A Hessian soldier, with ties to the Early days of FANG. Unlike the stories might say, Headless didn't get his head taken off by a cannonball, but a powerful witch hunted him down. Cursing him with immortality, and slicing off his head, Headless soon found himself in FANGS magic healing area. After years of being mute, a friendly(ier) witch managed to get Headless his voice back.

H had ties to FANG with his family, both his older brothers being in it, and his father. All three were killed, in a vampire raid against a group of vampires in Sleepy Hollow. Seeking revenge, Headless headed to Sleepy Hollow, where he encountered the witch that cursed him. Returning a few decades later, he rid the town of the vampire problem, and its witch problem.

Name:

The Big Bad Wolf, Big Bad, Thomas Wolf
Age:
His real age is unknown, but he appears relatively young in human form.
Race:
Monster/Fairy Tale
Description:
Form One- His human form, he stands around 5'11, a well trimmed beared, and near perfect posture. Always seen in clean, well kept suits. In this form, he holds none of his supernatural strength, speed, or savageness. You can however spot a wolfish grin every so often.
Form Two- He adopts the traits of a wolf, growing fur, fangs and claws. His muscles expand, and a rather small 5'11 grows to a 6'3. He is much stronger, faster, and his senses grow stronger. However, this animal instinct over takes his mind, making him rather stupid and direct.

Final Form- His final form completely twist him into a monster. He grows futher, going from 6'3 too a massive 7'2 wolf. He loses the ability to become Bipedal, and is forced to run on all fours. In this form he is insanely strong, fast, and his senses are hitting an inhuman level. In a word, he becomes truly savage. He also losses his mind, making him a threat to enemies, allies, and himself.
Personality:
His first form is a rather high end, sinister personality, much like a shrewd business. It is unknown how he picks his targets, but is suggested he meets them first.
His personality is mostly masked in his second and third form.

Things your good at:
Big Bad is extremely good at persuasion, but if a silver tongue doesnt work, a pair of claws and fangs do.
Things you suck at:
He has made a name for himself as a rather cruel, and untrusted fairy tale, making even the worst of the creatures of the world not trust him.
Preferred Combat Specialization:
Hand To Hand
Magic Abilities:
Supernatural Strength, Speed, Senses, and stamina.
Healing Factor
Immortal

Personal History:
His early years are unknown, but he came into view with Little Red Riding Hood. She was a young, beautiful woman starting her training in FANG, following the steps of her grandmother.
Assuming his first form, Wolf introduced himself to the young woman, walking with her a ways in the forest towards her home. Learning of her mothers name, Big Bad took this chance to make a name for himself. Slipping away from the girl, Wolf figured if he killed the girls grandmother, a known FANG agent in the fairy tale world, he could become a legend.
In a sense it worked, Big Bad reaching the hut before Red Riding Hood did. Quickly killing and eating the unsuspecting old woman, Little Red Riding Hood heard the screams of her grandmother. Coming to her aid, the girl battled the raging wolf, before it appeared the Wolf won.
He neared his prize, ready to feast on the second FANG agent, but another FANG agent intruded, the Woodsman. Taken by surprise in his blood lust, The Woodsman used an enchanted axe that cut the wolf in two.

The pair left the wolf, which was their mistake. Unlike normal werewolves, the Big Bad Wolf healed from the fatal cut, and grew a grudge from it.

BITE:
The Big Bad Wolf was introduced to the organization through secretive means, though not an "official" member of Bite, the shadowy leader often feeds him information through messengers, most of the time Wolf would act, it being either where FANG members are heading, or a tasty snack that was easy pickings.

Private Drake Forester
cyborg_by_sanset-d510mlk.jpg

scar_face___original_size____by_nataliehijazi-d3h90f0.jpg
Name:

Drake Forester
Age:
24
Race:
Human
Description:
6'2, built wide and muscular, Drake has spiked up hair, and a beard close to a 5'oclock shadow. He has light blue eyes, which stand out on his facial features, especially with the long scar over his left eye.
Personality:
Full of himself and confident in his abilities, he can seem like a pushover at times, but soon you learn he is loyal and genuine. He often is a flirt, even if he gets rejected, he is convinced they are playing "Hard to Get", thus boosting his ego more.
Things your good at:
Whether its hacking a computer, or setting up turrets in the field, Drake can do it. He believes technology is much more effective than a fireball. He is rather handy with a gun, his thoughts on it "The Bigger the Better"
Things you suck at:
Toss him into the field with no guns or a toolbox, and he wont survive long. He is slow and clumsy at hand to hand combat, a poor strategist, and falls asleep if you talk about magic too long.
Preferred Combat Specialization:
Tech Specialist
Personal History:
Born in Canada, Drake soon moved to America with his father on business. Growing up a single child, with no mother was often lonely, and Drake became interested with computers. Soon after, he learned his love for mechanics, and in turn engineering stuff.
Heading up to Canada for college, he got lost on the way, taking a turn into a forest. His car running out of gas, Drake was stranded in the forest. Something was watching him however, as a pair of eyes silently peered at him from the treeline.
Before he knew it, a large bear like creature was tearing down on him, his claw slashing against his face, giving him his scar. Managing to get out of the way, Drake dove into his car and slammed the door shut. The monster easily ripped the door off. Grabbing a wrench in the passenger floor board, Drake slammed it against the monsters roaring mouth.
The wrench was much more effective than thought, breaking off one of the monsters massive teeth. Snatching it up and stabbing it into the monsters throat, it bought him some time. Clawing the tooth out, the monsters wound began to heal, though a barrage of bullets slammed into its body.

How You Came to join FANG:
After the death of the monster, FANG agents soon took him into custody. After being questioned, it was clear this man was intent on knowing more about the creature, and after searching up his past in engineering, he is one of the new recruits in FANG.

a509edd3c6667100582b842682f47613.jpg

Name: Syrene Muse
Age: 195 years old
Race: Monster
Description: Standing at 5'7" with a slim hourglass figure, entrancing pale green-blue eyes, pale skin and long silky waves of white hair that almost looked like a paler shade of lavender. With small thick lips, long dark eyelashes, small nose, tiny elf like ears and an oval shaped face. A monster meant to seduce the humans that fall before her, a dangerous beast that hides inside of the innocent looking humanoid body of hers. Syrene's costume is designed to look like its from the medieval times; something that Syrene prefers the most for her suit.
Personality: Syrene is a curious being that finds interested in many things, many see her to be naive, kind and innocent. Little do they know that Syrene is a monster. Deep inside her, Syrene has a slight fear of humans but her mercilessness in battle shows none of that. She knows humans can be unpredictable with those emotions they let control them so much. Getting to know Syre, most people say that she has no empathy and is emotionally distance; Syrene just believes she thinks with her head instead of her heart. Though it is extremely difficult for her to understand certain emotions, Syrene wishes to truly understand how humans work but she knows she doesn't belong in their world. Not one of them; no matter how much Syrene wouldn't mind their life. A bit envious of them sometimes. It was obvious that both humans and monsters lived in a dark world but there was always a difference. Most of them understood the feelings they felt while Monsters could sometimes spend their entire lives empty on the inside. Syrene is just now starting to understand certain emotions.

Things your good at: fighting, observation, tracking, hunting and swimming
Things you suck at: Cooking, being sentimental, math
Preferred Combat Specialization:
Hand to hand combat, a short sword as her chosen weapon

Magic Abilities:
Visions: Syrene sometimes has visions of the near future, usually when her life is on the line or there's something important fate wants her to know. She can't stop all her visions but she tries her best to stop most of them. Unfortunately Syr learned that changing the ending of her visions can put someone else's life in danger.
Sensory: Thanks to her visions, Syrene's senses are easy to set off; when a dark energy or dangerous being is around her.

Personal History:

How You Came to join FANG: Syrene had come across some kids that had snuck out at night and they had gone to play at the park. When the kids were attacked by monsters, Syrene at first hesitated but soon her protective side kicked in and she helped; unfortunately she ran into F.A.N.G and she wasn't given much of a choice after that.

Magic Abilities:
This odd person has acquired and modified magic from various evil entities and witches that can be identified as 'Fairy Tale Villains'.
By modifying the curse that turned the Beast into a Beast and the Frog Prince into a Frog, he can grant 'Beast Mantra' to others. It either gives them animalistic capabilities or turns them berserk. Usually lasts between ten minutes and an hour.
Sleep induce can be cast to put an opponent to sleep for 24 hours. Concentration is required, however.

This odd one is simply indirectly affiliated with FANG.
It started off with an odd urban legend of the Marchen Hermit, which FANG agents decided to investigate.

Name: Sharo the Corpse Demon
Age: ~2000
Race: Fairy Tale Monster
Description: Sharo has the body of a young child, no more than twelve. Her eyes have no whites or iris, and instead are completely black. Her skin is deathly pale, and her hair almost reaches the floor.

Personality: Sharo is a mild creature, usually, who simply hides in the background. She makes no particular input. She is also, however, incredibly blood thirsty and cruel. She will take extreme care to slowly destroy her enemies in the perfect way.

Things your good at: Magic, hypnotisation.
Things you suck at: Life energy. Hehe gettit? You will after the abilities section.
Preferred Combat Specialization: Magic
Magic Abilities:
Sharo's main ability is the ability to drain life energy. Draining this energy causes intense pain in the target, though does not leave any physical wounds. She also has the ability to create and control a strange substance known only as Dark Matter; a material which defies the laws of physics. She also began practicing hypnotism to entertain herself.

Legend: Sharo the Corpse Demon was a monster brought about by pagan worshippers around the time Jesus was being brutally sacrificed. In order for Jesus to be killed by mortal means, he had to temporarily make himself as weak as a human, and did so by expelling huge quantities of magical energy. This energy was gathered by the pagans and used to create Sharo; specifically, to resurrect Sharo. Unfortunately, there was something they hadn't realised. All souls are anchored to their body by a type of energy known as Life energy. If this depletes, the soul is cut off and returned to the spirit world. With a live soul, a finite amount is needed. With a dead soul such as Sharo's, the life energy is constantly draining and needs refilling. To combat this, Sharo began her legend. She travelled across the world, leeching this life energy from dying mortals.

How You Came to join FANG: Sharo realised that monsters and supernaturals contain many times more life energy than humans, and use FANG to make the draining of that easier.

Character Sheet
Cleto.png

Name
Celto Lavrenti

Age
27

Race
Human

Description
Celto stands at 6 foot flat, though he often slouches, making him appear just a tad bit shorter than he really is at times. His hair is a raven black color, reaching just the end of his neck, while the front sweeps forward to cover his left eye. A frequent annoyance, though he has no plans to fix that anytime soon. His eyes are a caramel color, though others may associate the color with yellow or honey brown. Celto is someone who trains relentlessly beside his comrades, and it has definitely paid off. He isn't just some tall lanky stick figure [anymore], his arms and legs show clear signs of toning and muscle build up while retaining a rather lean body figure.

Personality
In a word, Celto is a relaxed kind of person. When faced with a problem, Celto takes his time to solve it. He is someone who is very aware of his own tempo, his own abilities and takes care to make sure he isn't doing more than he can actually provide. He is someone who is resourceful, who carefully thinks through his actions before committing to it. At times, he may also come off as a lazy person, and it is true. There will be days that Celto loses all motivation to investigate, to research further, or even train, but then again, everybody needs their own alone time some days, right? All in all, Celto is someone who has a strong sense of self, he knows what he can do, what he can't, and carefully puts all of his effort in the proper areas of focus to complete his tasks.

Strengths
Hawk Eyes - Celto has some seriously good eyesight, and with his training, he is able to have a 'zoom in' effect when staring long and hard enough into the distance. However, it seems that trying to look during night time doesn't exactly work out too well for him.

Hot Shot - Celto isn't someone who likes to drag out fights or operations. He'll try his best to find the weak spot, the most opportune moment, before running out, guns blazing. While human, and definitely more vulnerable than some of the recruits that have a mixed history of magic and humanity, he harbors very little fear for his wellbeing. Perhaps it is because of his relaxed personality, his innate ability to steady himself and his thoughts that prevent him from wondering about the what ifs or the worst case scenario.

Weaknesses
The Judge - Celto has problems working with people, especially if he finds that he does not like them after the first conversation. He isn't someone who judges by appearances, but instead judges based on the actions and words that people take, settling them into stereotypes or categories. For example, Celto finds it difficult to accept a Healer who is arrogant enough, in his opinion, to play on both the frontlines and the defensive rear line. Or perhaps, he may find it hard to actually take someone seriously when they just stand there and bark orders.

Adrenaline Break - While fearless and nimble, that burst of speed and power is quick to fade, giving way to fatigue. While it may be easy for others, magical creatures, to remain on the battlefield longer, there is only so much pressure a human can withstand. His stamina is most definitely above average, which allows him to fight properly while he feels the fight is on equal footing, although when the situation gets tough, mistakes will be made, reserves and energies will be wasted - and this is just one out of the many that will be accounted for.

Preferred Combat Style
Run and Gun

Magic Abilities
N/A

Personal History
Celto was a kid with dreams. More than that thought, Celto was a very adventurous and furiously curious child. He was a bit of a nerd, a bookworm, in his younger days. Often times, he would immerse himself in the history and stories of others, of legends, myths, and actual historical events. However, they did say that curiosity killed the cat, right? After searching up endlessly on the internet, Celto came to the forums where many people who studied and took interest in the same stories all gathered. Information was compiled, and the one thing that stuck out was a very mysterious light floating over the horizons of the oceans in New Zealand - of all places - and so they all gathered, confident that they would make a discovery, or at least have a good time finding other discoveries on the way. Sadly, on that day, out of 9, all were killed but Celto [Continued Below]

Fang History
FANG came in at once, most likely ready to intercept it, perhaps calm it down. Whatever they tried, it escaped in the end, and Celto was carried back to the UN. You see, nobody was to know about their existence, even if groups of people all over the world were certainly interested, intrigued, and even devoted their lives for the research, they were never ever supposed to come to a definite conclusion like Celto and his friends had - I mean, look at the result of that. Although shaken by the truth of the world, and the deaths that had happened in front of him, Celto got recruited into FANG. He is no hunter, but he figures that he could respect those who had died in front of him by going around the world and meeting more and more of the creatures ... it would make one helluva story to tell when he died in hell, wouldn't it? After all, satisfaction brought the cat back to life.

Character Sheet
Diana.png
Name
Diana Strandsol

Age
25

Race
Human

Description
Standing at a rather proud height of 5'8, Diana has a rather athletic body to go along with that height. Her arms and legs are lightly toned, but don't ever underestimate the strength that lies underneath the delicate looking arms. Her chest is a modest, if not smaller, size than average. Her red hair is not too striking, instead it takes on more of a dull shade, it would still stand out at times, but it's hardly anything that would catch the eyes of others. Her eyes are a rather interesting mix of purple and blues, almost a misty indigo or hazy lavender.

Personality
Diana is someone who is inhibited. Often times, she fears a negative reaction from those around her. Whether it be human or otherwise, the redhead always falters when confronted with somebody who bears bad news, or is in search of her to criticize her methods. Of course, this wasn't some preschool setting, so there was no way that the redhead was going to admit to such weakness, therefore she hardened her own skin and worked hard to brush aside all the words others had thrown at her. Now though, she is someone who is cold, someone who may come off as arrogant, unapproachable, and even a bit violent. She may also be responsible, capable and reliable, but Diana will do absolutely anything in her power to make sure the job is done, often times stepping out of line to accomplish her tasks.

Honestly, another way of describing her is just that she's a shy person who fears interaction with other people, only she has chosen to turn her back on it and run away from the problem altogether. She just has no way to really relax properly due to her self consciousness within the organization.

Strengths
Speedy Cat

Diana is a very fast attacker. She makes sure that she is always on top of her opponent, always speeding up the pace, never letting the control fall over to the opponent. She has built up quite a lot of stamina, allowing her to remain in fights longer, delivering hits fast and hard and hopefully escaping relatively unscratched from the frenzy-like attack pattern. She specializes in working through larger crowds, mobs, moving quickly from one to the other, or even just rounding everybody up to run through them all even faster.

Scavenger
Have you ever been stranded on an island? No, neither has Diana. However, there have been times where the redhead's team had been separated by magical means and the general compromised mission status - and it's been proven that if left alone Diana has no problem surviving for a little while on her own. While the redhead is a socially awkward turtle, she is one phenomenal actor when she needs to step up to it, in the human world that is. Otherwise, the redhead has a very intensive knowledge on the outdoor world to remain safe for at least a week with minimal resources.
Weaknesses
Tech Noob
Diana is by no means stupid, but the she doesn't have the patience to learn how to properly use guns, not to mention, she simply doesn't have it in her to actually take care and reload her equipment. Let alone customize and build her own. Not to mention, she just isn't a big fan of the sound of gunshots, sudden sounds like that always manage to startle or shake her up, no matter who fires it. If you ever hand her a gun to fire off, make sure EVERYBODY is off the field or at least won't be endangered in any way.

Split Personality?
As mentioned in her personality, Diana can come off as a very shy person, as she isn't too comfortable sharing herself in the organization, which makes some very impatient with her quiet, unresponsive and indecisive attitude. However, when she's off duty or just back home, Diana can be quite a lot to handle as she is a bit of a flirt - only got eyes on the ladies though. One day, sooner or later, some of her personal problems are BOUND to end up messing up her work ...

Preferred Combat Style
Hand to Hand

Magic Abilities

N/A

Personal History
Working within F.A.N.G. was always a family kind of thing. Both of her parents are part of it - though they seem to be missing ... something that Diana had mixed feelings about, to this day even. As a young child, Diana was exposed early to the truths, the rules, and the strings she would have to tie in order to properly work up towards actually joining the organization. However, as a rebellious teenager, Diana had spent most of her time partying, drinking, taking part in some questionable activities and had also quickly fallen in and out of love...frequently. Her parents eventually had enough of her attitude, and sought to adjust it ... in any way possible. For many long years, they began to harshly criticize Diana, and although the teen had easily brushed aside their words, even she had limits, lines that should not be crossed. She fought with her parents regularly, until she just moved out herself - unwilling to wait 'till they decided to disown or kick her out, she supposed - it was only when one particular girl from her extensive past came to confront her and scream at her some more, did Diana really break down, making her truly question and perhaps even regret the [half]life that had lead thus far. [Continued Below]

FANG History

When her parents came to visit, she received an invitation. Heeding the silent order, she followed both to wherever it was that was the headquarters for F.A.N.G. and was promptly signed up and set to begin her training. It was definitely hard, torture at some point, and more than once had Diana seriously though to just break open a window and like ... swim to the other side of the world maybe, but she held on, jeers and harsh words ringing and echoing, serving as a constant motivation for her to complete the training and actual become of use within the organization - well that and she still was a child in some way, seeking to gain her parents' approval.

Try editing it again, copying it, deleting it all, then changing to BBcode view and pasting it back in. To get to BBcode view, it's the second button in from the right on the text editor.

Did the code itself make that or were you writing in HTML? There is a huge chance that the code editor messed with it, but maybe go over something just in case?

Did my suggestion work? If not, you could try the top left button of the editor, but it might not work.

Everything's looking great everyone! I'll be on on about 20 min to work on my character sheets

Okay everyone, I was thinking of introducing a separate Organization called BITE to combat FANG. I DO NOT want alot of people in this however, and would prefer everyone to have atleast having one character in FANG, that being the central story.

Love the characters BTW @Karakui @S O N G B I R D Though I can't see your pictures Song :/

My sheet is done. I combined Personality and History into one section since I accidentally wrote it in there and didn't want to split it. Also, I made a few assumptions and may have made up a bit of my own lore. Noting intrusive or world-changing, just a few things that the world would have forgotten anyway. If there are any issues, let me know! I'll post it in a bit after I do some grammar checking.

Name:
Alistair Tipton

Age:
29

Race:
Human
(Magic User)

Description:
Alistair is a rather thin, wiry man, and as a workaholic, his complexion usually seems gaunt and sleepless. His voice carries a bit of nasal to it, something that doesn't mix well with the Posh British accent. He stands at about 5'9".

Personality and History:
Born and raised in Oxfordshire, Alistair was groomed from childhood to be either a financial success or an academic success. Alistair didn't just run with the latter, he carried it to the ends of the Earth. He smashed through his education at the University of Oxford and before he was even 23 he was offered several jobs in the field of medical science. He turned them all down except for one: F.A.N.G.

When made to choose between a cushy desk job and a messy career in a laboratory, Alistair decided he'd rather lose his left eye than take some a job behind a desk where his only task is to look smart. Once given a position at F.A.N.G., Alistair didn't just outshine the people trying to train him, he took their jobs as well. Now, only a few short years later, Alistair is one of the world's best (if not the best) experts in Paranatural Biology, Ritualized Magic (a subject Alistair will scream is not the bloody same as "casty wishy" magic), and Subnatural Chemistry.

In short, Alistair is a genius. And he knows it, and he flaunts it. He's important to F.A.N.G. and he is very aware of it. Having such status and ability has made him incredibly pretentious. He's nearly unlikable to be around and he tends to treat others like they're morons. The fact that he's smarter than fairy tales over ten times his age has given him a hell of a swollen ego. I don't just mean he's a little mean here and there. I mean he considers everyone except himself a complete idiot who doesn't know what they're doing. In his eyes, he didn't just learn his fields of study, he bloody pioneered them, harnessed them, and taught everyone how to mass produce them without blowing their arms off. In short, he's a genius, so he's a pretentious prick about it and he has trouble making friends because of it.

Some of this may be exaggerated, he's not as bad as I might say he is (but he can be pretty bad). He's got his fair share of eccentricities, little things he does that he just sort of has. A big one, for example, is the fact that he lives in the F.A.N.G. HQ Library. In the vast collection of books, a little corner has a curtain drawn over it, hiding a small bed, a nightstand, and a cabinet of clothing and personal items. Since he's practically dedicated his existence to his work, he literally lives at his job. Another section of the library was separated, sealed off, and made into a laboratory for Alistair at his request. I should probably mention this here. Alistair is a severe workaholic. He wants nothing more than to spend every waking hour running tests and experiments or conducting researching. Taking him away from his work makes him fidgety and nervous, and his almighty demeanor vanishes in a wave of anxiety. If you've ever seen him at a social outing, he's the one who looks like he just wants to get the hell home and work on something. He doesn't do well outside of a work environment.

He will, however, insist he come along on some missions. The opportunity to conduct field work must not be ignored, so expect him to come along here and there. Don't worry, he has his uses.

Things He's Good At:
1. The Usual Subjects Required to Study the Supernatural: Archaeology, Mythology, Esoterism, etc.

2. Paranatural Biology: This pretty much means he's good at figuring out the biology of supernatural entities. It's a hard job, as he puts it, because you're expected to know how something that no one has ever seen before ticks, and you're expected to know it now! Not very useful in a fight, but he's written interesting books on it. Go read 'em.

3. Subnatural Chemistry: This is basically messing with materials and compounds that are not native to what's defined as "The Natural World". Ingredients that don't behave normally, materials with anomalous effects, etc. It basically means he can look at magic materials and have an idea of how they work, if not outright knowledge of their function. It also means he can make potions that have various effects (and side effects). He's very stingy with them, however; they're incredibly difficult to make, at least the ones he makes are. He'll hand them over to an ally in need, but only if they really need it.
He's also written books on this, you should read those too. Fascinating stuff, really.

4. Ritual Magic: This is where things need some explanation. Alistair considers ritual magic the most powerful form of magic due the cost-to-benefit ratio it represents. It isn't powerful in the usual sense, where it'll destroy his enemies. Rather, it's powerful in the sense that it is perhaps the most intense and concentrated form of magic there is. Magic that is caster (meaning you used your energy or knowledge to will it into being) usually requires knowledge of the spell and maybe incantations, but that's it. You'll cast a fireball, you'll call down lightning, or you'll make your opponent blind. Casting is direct and can be used in offense. Ritual magic is different, it requires preparation and materials, as well as knowing what the hell you're doing so you don't mess up and get torn into little pieces before each piece is forcibly made to exist at different dimensional states. It takes time, and what it creates is far more powerful, but far less direct.

It can't cast a fireball, but it can transport to you the other side of the Earth, or even another universe (don't try this at home kids, seriously... don't ever try this). They can't call lighting, but they can place a curse on a location that'll last 300,000 years (and guess what you need to get rid of the curse... more ritual magic). It won't make your enemies blind or kill them outright, but it can summon entities from universes so fundamentally alien that the very laws of physics are different and the creatures summoned cannot be correctly perceived by any brain or consciousness on this side of reality. Ritual magic is some ancient, primal stuff, but it comes in handy here and there. Runes can point to artifacts, simple summoning rituals can summon guides or knowledge, and if you need an ancient magic trap diffused, you use some chalk circles.

Preferred Combat Specializations:
Magic (Primarily Support Based)
He'll probably need some protection since he isn't much use in a head-on offense.

Magic Abilities:
Potion Making
Spatial and Dimensional Transporting
Summoning
Magic Diffusion
"Weird shit you tossers wouldn't understand."

How He Came to Join F.A.N.G.:
Alistair was recommended to the organization.

Other:
His middle name is Barney. He leaves it out of any forms, including this character sheet. But it exists. The proof is out there. You just have to believe.
