Jay smiled and waved at Chris, wishing she could stay with him, but there were pressing matters to attend to. She nodded as she passed by his room, moving to the back to find her brother laying out. "Wux vucot kii si confn ekess wux. Opsola tepohaic tora ve ekess visp wux... Shar wux vucot kii. Si kampiun batobot dout altiuiri re ti sjerit krathin ekess clax thran. Si vsist tir ti siofme wux tuor ekess vihaga shafaer wer spical di tikilvi. Shar... Si tir ti siofme wux tepoha tikil yenta persvek wer selgtarn."

It bothered her to not give him a choice. However, there was no other way to leave Chris' home. He would either leave on the back of a dragon or not at all. She felt bad, because they had both had limited chances to learn things, even if he was much worse off than she was. She didn't want to leave him with that sour thought, so she took a seat beside him, wings folding against her back.

"Si mi bivai," she added, looking down at the ground. Her sharp nails scoured the carpet and pulled up strings. "Si filki tuor ekess gethrisj okarthel... coi ui hesi krehl ekess qe gethrisja de astahi." She didn't have to say who 'them' was. There was a hiss at the end of her sentence, but she didn't let it grow. They would never have normal lives again (not that they had any to begin with), but if they could try and put their torturous past behind them, it was better.

"Man, you gotta a lotta stuff," Layla said, popping into Chris' area. She only carried a backpack. Layla was a wanderer, a moocher, a freeloader. Anyone who gave her food and a bed without cost was good in her book. No one asked about her past or who she was, and she liked it that way. The only reason she hung around Chris was that she liked him enough. That, and he had food, of course. She had little to her name, and that included her cares. She was enough of a free spirit to be considered homeless.

"So I'm guessing you're going to flit around beside all those big, ol' dragons, eh? Careful, they might think you're a snack." While it probably wasn't funny to Chris, a few giggles escaped the were-cat as she bounced on the balls of her feet.

"The others will arrive shortly. They will provide sufficient support for those who do not have wings," he said, to no one in particular. He'd kept his thoughts to a small radius ever since he'd arrived.

Maulkainthur had called on Emphaleon and Xenarain to assist them in carrying the others back to their home. Xenarain was small, but she could carry one, most likely the cat. The black dragon didn't like asking for help, but if he tried to carry everyone, he would fall and it would get them nowhere.

Smoke puffed out from his nose in a great sigh. He wished to return to where he could walk freely among the trees with his mate, not being disturbed by anyone. Too long had they spent searching for their children, chasing leads that didn't exist and coming up empty. That time was past. He could go back to his solitary world where little was wrong.

((It's all good. :3))
