Tenshi-Rain
Rain tilted her head, her expression a mix of amusement and thoughtfulness. She leaned slightly against a nearby surface nearby, her arms crossed as she spoke.
"Well, I'll admit, I never thought about that part of the equation. But you're probably right—those geniuses likely didn't bother with the long-term side effects. They were too busy playing god to think about the finer details, like if we'd even be capable of having kids." She smirked, though there was a bite of sarcasm in her tone. "Honestly, it'd be kind of hilarious if their big repopulation plan fell apart because of their oversight."
Tenshi, who had been listening quietly, let out a low scoff. "Typical. They didn't care about us as people, just tools for their endgame. As long as we fit into their little blueprint, nothing else mattered." He shrugged, his expression hard to read but tinged with frustration. "Not that I was planning on raising a kid in this mess either, so maybe it's for the best."
Rain shot Tenshi a glance before turning back to Ellawese. "As for relationships…" She chuckled, shaking her head. "Yeah, I'm with you there. Let's just say being made in a lab kind of kills your dating prospects anyway. Not that I'm complaining—I've got enough to figure out without dragging someone else into the chaos."
Tenshi's gaze flicked toward her briefly, his tone softening just slightly. "At least you've got your priorities straight."
Rain grinned at him, then looked back at Ellawese. "Sounds like you've had a hell of a ride to get here, though. Can't say if I'd call it luck or karma, but hey, at least you're alive. That counts for something, right?"
Rain glanced toward the open door, debating whether to step out or stay inside. With a shrug, she pushed off the wall. "I'm going to head out and explore. Feels like we've been cooped up in here long enough. A little change could be nice."
She stepped through the doorway, her eyes scanning the landscape around the base. Taking a deep breath, she let it out slowly, a small smile tugging at her lips. "I could get used to this scenery," she murmured, her voice soft as she took in the view.
Tenshi watched as she stepped outside and gave a small nod. "That's true… I'd like to explore outside too."
Though his words hinted at excitement, his tone betrayed the lingering fear beneath them. Venturing outdoors would only make everything they'd heard feel more real—a confirmation he wasn't sure he wanted.
He stood still for a moment, his gaze fixed on the doorway, catching fleeting glimpses of the world beyond.
