Ellawese chuckled slightly,
"You're fine, if everyone woke up being calm and collected I'd fear they were using mind control on us somehow. Anyways as one of their chosen as Leader. I know the gist of how this was all supposed to go. The governments were at war bombing and nuking lord only knows where and with what. We were created with the hopes that; one, we would survive the end of the world. Two, we'd be able to face whatever awaited us with these...'improvements'." Her voice was thick with sarcasm,
"And three, we would repopulate the world. To keep it simple some fucked up people decided to ruin our lives because they were greedy. They honestly had been waiting their entire careers to get the okay to experiment on humans." Ellawese let another sigh leave her lips,
"I can only hope that those of us here are able to survive and just live our lives. I couldn't care less about the hopes and dreams those bastards had for us. Repopulate the world..." She muttered with a bitter scowl, glancing towards a woman who now stood by them.

She glanced at the boy who told her they'd escape. She wasn't sure what they wanted to escape from so badly but a part of her didn't think there was a need to escape. She nodded at him though,
"I'm sure everything will work out no matter what. " Her head snapped to the sound of the fruits hitting the ground.
"Great job Liam!" She picked up the fruit, closing her eyes as she held one of them. They were bigger than normal peaches, and even their surface was slightly harder. She sniffed it for a moment before taking a bite. Juices flooded her mouth and she smiled. As soon as she touched one of the fruits faint blue and green colors had swirled around her faintly.

Jaxon felt a bit surprised by how close Henry got to Cynthia. He was usually rather distant from others, but still, it made him smile. He was glad his friend seemed to feel some sort of comfort from Cynthia. Liam and Cynthia were already working together to find new food sources. Maybe things wouldn't be so bad. His eyes grew wide,
"H-hey don't just start eating that! You..." Cynthia held up her hand not paying attention to the colors flickering around her.
"This is perfect. The juice can be used as a substance to drink. The flesh is rich with a sweet and tart flavor." Jaxon frowned,
"You shouldn't just eat things like that." It made Cynthia frown,
"But that's my purpose. What my ability is meant for." Jaxon groaned,
"That doesn't mean you shouldn't tread without caution! You aren't disposable! We need someone like you around." She nodded, tapping a finger to her chin.
"Ah yes I should make notes then that way you guys have something go off of if I do die." Jaxon felt baffled,
"That's not!"

'You could never be useless, Trin...' He jotted down with a small smile,
'If you were useless blind then I'm useless without the use of my actual voice. Do you want to go outside? Maybe take your mind off of things?' He still hadn't noticed Runar as he wrote down his thoughts until a hand touched his shoulder making him jump.

"Hey guys...I didn't want to bother you, but I also wanted to say hello." He said with a small smile at the two younger ones. To be honest, when the scientists had arrived at their Island he had tried masking them from them. But it had been a major failure and he had almost died.

"Your marketplace? Do you think it would even still be standing?" She shook her head,
"I'm not really worried about my powers. They are just a pain...at least mine isn't making me go blind..." She muttered. Glancing back to where Alex had vanished off to,
"Also don't give Alex too much trouble. He worries about others far more than himself. He's been our leader for a long time. The whole reason we escaped that place and lived 'freely' for a while. It got hard, but our group worked together."

Alex padded into the forest, taking in the scents and sounds. There was a heavy smell of a strange feline reptilian mix in the air,
"What is this..." The scents were so heavily mixed it sent shivers through his spine. He thought he saw something from the corner of his eye, but when he looked there was nothing.
"Odd." He padded deeper into the woods, there were a few normal-looking animals. They seemed bigger in size which was fine by him. It would mean less hunting would be needed. There were a few that caught his eye, like the strange rabbit-looking thing, that had a long-haired tail, with red, grey, and even teal-colored markings along its body. It smelled like a rabbit though, a bit more of a wild tangy smell than the rabbits he'd smelled before. Its size reminded him of a jackrabbit. He walked around some more, pausing when he came across a large muscled horse-like creature with a horn sticking out from its head. It stared at him for a moment before moving on.

"My power over plants and having almost turned into a plant. I can...should I say taste the pollution that is still left in the air. It's certainly not bad, but the fact it tastes almost toxic to me tells me we will need to be careful of areas. I wonder if I can purify air since I can taste the difference?" She glanced around at the tree.
"As for carving, probably something amazing. Have anything specific in mind?"

Echo watched the woman leave to confront her companion with electrical abilities. She thought about Rain's words fro a moment, before glancing at Aiden.
"Which is better?" Aiden was a bit shocked by her question,
"None." Echo shook her head,
"But we were made this way to save humanity?" She stated matter of factly.

Aiden groaned,
"What twisted into something that can't really be called human any longer? How is that 'saving humanity'?" Echo frowned,
"I...I don't know. But mother...." "Your mother couldn't have cared about your true well-being if she put that in your head at such a young age. How much pain have you endured?" Echo shrugged,
"I guess...more than what most might go through in their life." "Exactly. I don't care what your mother drilled into your head, you don't need to abide by her wishes. Just live. How old are you, you look young but you don't act it." "Im 16?" "My point exactly, you should have been able to enjoy a normal life. Freting over school, and boys. Or girls if you prefer them."
"Why would I fret over boys and girls? And what's school?" Aiden groaned,
"Nothing...forget I mentioned it."
