Name: | Raiden | Age: | 19 | Gender: | F |
Allegiance: | Day | Occupation: | Healer |

[fieldbox="Backstory, #ffff66, ridge"]Raiden was born the eldest daughter of a wealthy farmer. She was raised in the lap of luxury and has always lived at the height of respectability in society. While she is entirely eligible for marriage, she has always been too independent and restless to settle down quietly.

As a young girl she was quite fond of fixing things and solving problems, which led her to begin an apprenticeship as a healer at the age of ten. Easily bored and a fierce perfectionist, she was always perfecting her skills and learning more about her craft - not only from her mentor, but from every healer in the Day Realm who would meet with her.

One year ago she left her family home in the back corner of the Day Realm and moved into the capital, using what gems she had saved to buy a small empty shop and set herself up as a practicing healer. In the short time she has been on her own, she has already become well known for her skill and knowledge - but even more so for her experimentation. The workings of magic have always fascinated her, and ever since she inadvertently healed a minor injury to her hand as an apprentice, she has been madly experimenting with magic stones. It's well known that she will pay a handsome price to get her hands on them, and an even handsomer one for anyone willing to serve as a guinea pig.
[/fieldbox]

[fieldbox="Personality, #66ff33, solid"]Most prominently, Raiden is restless. She is always moving, learning, and doing. To be useless and quiet would be the death of her. She is quite sure of herself, carrying on her life with an air of strong confidence and calm determination. When she sets her mind on accomplishing something, nothing will get in her way until it has been done in a perfectly satisfactory manner. Once one of her goals or tasks has been accomplished, she will already have more than the next one prepared. While she prefers to be independent due to finding others unreliable, she will lead with a natural firm authority whenever needed. She won't hesitate to take control of a situation where others fail to step forward, and incompetence will be blasted into oblivion whenever it comes to her attention. [/fieldbox]

-Unintentionally overbearing
-Has difficulty acknowledging her flaws

Saren Dynagra
Thol, Redden

Saren trailed behind the Aegis, keeping abreast of the Dane woman. Her eyes darted feverishly from one side of the hall to the other, from the ceiling to the floor and down again as if the shadows in the corners might suddenly morph into a fog that would creep out and wrap around her in a suffocating, deathly grip. She kept her hands clutched tightly in the folds of her cloak, the rich red folds concealing their subtle trembling.

A side door opened and she started, relief flooding her as Danielle's face appeared. More than the ease of knowing there was no immediate threat, a heavier burden ascended from her shoulders. Nothing we've done has brought harm to her. She's alright. She'll be alright. We did nothing wrong. I did nothing wrong. Clinging recklessly to that thoughtful hope, she hurried to make up the distance she had lost between herself and the others while she'd been busy gawking.

The sight that greeted her at the bottom of the staircase churned her stomach to the beat of the woman's pained wailing. Her muscles felt soft, robbing her of strength. She reached out to tightly grasp the back of a nearby chair to steady herself, quickly ducking her head away from the gruesome sight that was now forever burned in her memory.

Guilty. We're guilty. We brought this here. I've done this.

Hearing the Aegis bark out a sharp command, her head snapped up, and eyes widened. A hideous monstrosity stood outside, a monster that looked ready to pounce and tear her apart for her sins. A muffled scream tore out of her throat and she stumbled backward, her hands feverishly groping for some kind of weapon or shield. When they found none, she panicked, her breaths coming in quick rasps. Her gaze was drawn again to the carnage at the door, and combined with her rioting terror, the last of her self-control dissipated and she sank to the floor with a quiet whimper, staring aimlessly into the distance.

Name: Atasha Vyre Age: 24 Gender: Female
Occupation: Entertainer/Performer

Biography:
Born and raised in the big city, Atasha has made her living from the streets that are her home for most of her young life. She began learning the fine art of entertainment and performance early on, with a naturally captivating presence. She worked hard at every new skill she could possibly find to learn, perfecting them all - from dancing to juggling, from acting to storytelling to acrobatics, and even a little singing. Her most proficient skill lies in juggling - most particularly a set of six entirely real knives, while dressed in an almost foreboding costume.

She is incredibly adept at all manner of vocal skills, including different accents, imitation of other's voices, speaking without moving her lips, and throwing her voice. She is also quite skilled with the learning of new languages, and has picked up enough to understand at least three. One particular thing she lacks is an excess in intelligence; her mind works in simple ways, and while she has a quick tongue at times, her wits typically end there.

Her greatest secret lies in her unusual heritage. Only half human, she has the ability to transform into a blue-flamed phoenix at will.

This document has been compiled with the intention of including all written works attributed to Lord Keadan Lorgain of Caerleon (in some circles known as 'Caerleon's Historical Poet'). While it's authors have done their utmost to be as comprehensive as humanly possible, many portions of relevant information have been derived entirely from guesswork and conjecture.

It is well known that Lord Lorgain is in possession of numerous unpublished pieces, and due to the inability of these writers to legally acquire such texts, they have been omitted from mention save for where rumors have been of reasonable significance and/or credibility.

Where applicable, all dates appear in mm/dd/yyy form.

As more pieces are published or become known, this document will be updated accordingly.

~Sincerely, S. Ekmar
Factual historical records, notable for accuracy and detail.

Pieces inspired and/or based upon historical events, typically with dramatization or exaggeration of engaging subjects.

Title: The Mark of Death Written: Undocumented,
previous ten years
Companion Works: The Plague of 259-60
Reception: Infamous, incredibly well known, highly popular Summary: A tragedy describing the horrors and turmoil of the Plague in sordid detail and told with extreme emotional passion.

Title: The Eyes of Fate Written: Companion Works:Caerleon: Complete History Reception: Well known, controversial,
mixed
Summary: An account of the life of Princess Orlagh from her birth to the year of the poem's completion. It is narrated from three perspectives - the author's imagined perspective of the Princess herself, a commoner devoutly convinced of the curse she bears, and a nobleman who fiercely defends her position. The poem aspires to cover all known details of her life, with some dramatized and imagined additions. Some have speculated that the anonymous noble standing in defense of the Princess represents the author, Lord Lorgain. However, he has never directly confirmed or denied the assertion, and in an author's note attached to the document, he states that the perspectives shown are designed to acurately portray the story as completely as possible.

Title:A Traitor's Loyalty Written: Companion Works: Lavindor I, II Reception: Well known, well liked
Summary: Describes the involvement of Ayer Bourdillion in the Rebellion against the Empire, and the forming of the Kingdom of Caerleon, mildly dramatized.

Title: Selroth's Betrayal Written:7/1/277 - 1/6/278 Companion Works: Caerleon Conflicts Reception: Not yet released, highly anticipated Summary: The most recent work of Lord Lorgain, this piece is to be released the second day of the festival.

Title: Alvador's Fall, I, II Written: Companion Works:Accompaniment sheet music PopularReception: Summary: This poem begins with vivid descriptions of the passions of Rufus V's love for the Empirical Lady he pursued in Part I, and is primarily romance/character centric. Part II continues the story with a focus on the dramatic consequences of Rufus V's extreme emotion and how it went on to shape history as it stands. Alvador's Fall has a companion composition of music, and can be performed as a song.

Title: Friends by Force Written: Companion Works: Caerleon Conflicts Reception: Summary: Tells the story of Esrys Rajursson's initial refusal to join the rebellion, his later change of heart, and his way of forcing Rufus V to accept his help.

Title: Lavindor's Lament Written: Companion Works: A Traitor's Loyalty Reception: Summary: A dramatic account of Rufus V's descent to madness, foolish loss of control in killing Esrys' squire, and the failure of the initial attack on Lavindor by the rebellion and the ensuing deaths of Rufus V and Esrys Rajursson.

Title: Lavindor's Ascent Written: Companion Works: Lavindor's Lament Reception: Summary: Recounts Rodric I's attack and victory at Lavindor.

Title: The Pledge of Peace Written:Companion Works: Caerleon:
Complete History

Subjects: I: Queen Amelie; II: Queen Resera; III: Queen Aurelia; IV: [current Queen] Reception: Summary: Each installment of the Queens of Heart four piece series tells a dramatic story about one of Caerleon's Queens, incorporating facts from their lives as well as imagined elements.
UxZTEFJ.jpg

Title: Ruled by Ransom Written: Style: Short Story Companion Works: N/A Reception: Well known, strongly disliked Summary: The story recounts an anonymous man attempting to single handedly depose a monarchy. Many view the tale with distaste due to the fact that Lord Lorgain has never published the ending, leaving his audience to wonder how it all turned out. The story also contains many confusing and misleading implications, implying that the central character has noble intentions but never fully revealing a defined motivation or clear indication of a 'right' and 'wrong' side to the conflict. It remains the only published piece of prose by Lord Lorgain. Speculation as to why this is mostly centers around the poor reception of the story. Rumors range from him having written dozens of other short stories, to claims that he has sworn never to write another.

Title: The Duel Written: Style: Poem, Intellectual Companion Works: The Debate Reception: Well known, well liked Summary: Perhaps the most intense poem of Lord Lorgain, The Duel is 7,342 pages long. It centres around Good and Evil personified as the central characters, battling for control of individuals and the world.

Title: The Debate Written: Style:Poem, Intellectual Companion Works: The Duel Reception: Well known, well liked Summary: While not as lengthy as The Duel, the subject matter is of similar depth. The poem is a lengthy debate between Life and Death over the fate of a young girl and her brother. There are implied references to Ruled by Ransom, but nothing direct enough to be certain if the works are related; this remains a topic of considerable debate among Lorgain's audience.

Title:Early Inspirations Written: Various; currently being compiled Style: Various Companion Works:
Reception: Positive Summary: A compilation of the childhood works of Lord Lorgain. A few remain in their original form, while most have been rewritten for comedic effect.

Title: The Autumn Knight Written:
Style: Poem Companion Works:The Lady of Spring
Reception: Positive Summary: The first part of a series in progress intended to conclude with a total of five poems, this is the story of a Knight tasked with rescuing the heart of a Lady from where it has been trapped alongside her dead lover.

Title: The Lady of Spring Written:
Style: Poem Companion Works: The Autumn Knight Reception: Positive Summary: The second part of the Five Seasons series to be published, The Lady of Spring is a prequel that intricately portrays the early life and character of the primary antagonist. It is the most recent installment of the series to be published, and the remaining three have yet to be written.

Title: The Mapmakers Compass Written:
Style: Poem Companion Works: Reception: Positive Summary: The fictional misadventures of a man capable of making maps that transport persons to the places they portray when touched.

Title: The Lady of the Lake Written: Style: Allegorical/Intellectual Poem Companion Works: Reception: Famous, respected; first major published success
Summary: Rather a different sort of piece than one might come to expect from Lord Lorgain, this particular story is one that seeks to explore the deep extremes of human thought and emotion. Perhaps one of his most influential due to it's inspiring and riveting nature, several common colloquiums has been derived from it. To refer to someone as a 'Lake Lady' typically infers deviousness, deceit, or betrayal in a highly derogatory way. The tale follows a web of intrigue, deception, and betrayal in many layers, with dozens of potential interpretations and an ending that suggests the possibility of a sequel.

Brief History: Kestin knows nothing of the circumstances of his birth or parents. His earliest memories are only of being kept as a slave to a Sith Lord named Darth Urtai. His childhood was one of abuse, exhausting labor, and torment. As he grew, it was eventually discovered that he was force sensitive and worth training, and he left his life of slavery for one of gruelling Sith instruction that was hardly better. When he reached the point of apprenticeship, he and a group of other acolytes worked through a series of tasks and challenges seeking to become the Apprentice of a revered Sith Master, Darth Krear. The tests ended with a final duel between himself and the only other remaining acolyte - Acolyte Erisi Fengris. She beat him soundly, both humiliating him and robbing him of his chance to become Krear's apprentice. It took two years of watching Erisi pass from talented instructor to talented instructor before he finally had a second opportunity - and knowing the rarity of such an event, Kestin made sure it didn't pass him by. Over the years he never forgot the sleight done him by Erisi, and his hatred of her fueled his future successes and rapid advancement in order to prove himself her better. He constructed his own set of dual lightsabers at a fantastically early stage of training, and for a time reveled in at least that superiority - until Erisi finally found her Master in the form of a Black Knight. Recently, Kestin reached a point of usurping Erisi once again: Not three months ago, he killed his Master and assumed the rank of Sith.
Other: Incredibly proficient in form IV: Ataru, Kestin is dangerously agile and fast. He is highly flexible and acrobatic. He has a strange obsession with time, and an elaborate time device is built into each of his lightsaber hilts.

Name|| Dashthea Lorah

Alias || Thea, Dash

Faction || Neutral/Undecided

Force-Sensitive || No

Species || Echani

Age || 46

Eye Color || Pale blue

Hair Color || White/dirty blonde

Height || 6'3''

Appearance
Tall and muscular, Thea's build reflects her lifestyle of constant training. She wears her light dirty blonde hair loose, and generally prefers to wear white clothing that allows for as much freedom of movement as possible. She wears a utility belt at all times, and keeps a blaster strapped to her ankle.

Brief History:
Ten years ago, six years into her training in Tier 3 of the Echani Art, Thea was a part of a small rebel cell along with her entire family. Several of her siblings and her farther betrayed the rest of the cell, calling all of those who pledged any Loyalty to them as friends to aide the Confederation. Torn between the two halves of her family and no longer certain whether her allegiance should belong to the Enlightenment or the Confederation, Thea left her homeworld to question the teachings her life was based around on her own terms. She wandered the galaxy aimlessly for a standard year, until she found her place on the Merc Crew. Still young relative to the lifespan of her people, she has yet to reach the conclusions she seeks.

Other:
In the tradition of the Echani Art, Thea typically prefers to fight without weapons or armor, but has adopted a pair of quadanium rods when it suits her. On thing her time spent in the galaxy at large taught her quickly is that her skills were no mach for a blaster bolt on the other side of the room, and she carries a basic blaster as a fall-back for occasions where her preferred melee style becomes impractical.

"Stop quoting me."
NAME: Darcy Thackery
MONIKER:_____
AGE: 24
GENDER: Male
SEXUALITY: Hetero
ETHNICITY: European
YEARS AT ACADEMY: 5
BASIC DESCRIPTION: Darcy walks with a sort of shuffle to his gait and his head down, keeping his hands tucked into the pockets of whatever earth-tone hoodie he happens to be wearing at the time. Average height with a slight build, he constantly watches the world around him as if something is slowly creeping up behind him.
POWERS:
Teleportation - ability to transport anywhere, anytime. Weakness - Extreme risk of miscalculation and sever injury or death.
Conscious Projection - While physically remaining in the same place, Darcy is able to 'mentally' travel to any given location and observe it as if there. Weakness - Unable to interact with the environment or have any effect on it whatsoever
External Teleportation - Ability to transport objects not on his person via physical contact. Weakness - Unable to recall said objects, extremely limited control of their destination.
PROMPT: Jean Harkwell has the magnificent gift of walking through dreams, not that you know this. But she visits each candidate before they're admitted into the Academy. There she arrives in whatever dream state you are in, takes on a familiar face in your day to day, and ask three questions: "why do you want to be a hero?" "What are your strengths?" "What are your weaknesses?" That being said, the questions don't have to outright read like that, and there could be other questions interspersed, but those are the minimum. Please write a prompt including that. This will count as your personality and biography.

"My real superpower is the weird faces."
NAME: Ellis Wong
MONIKER: TBD
AGE: 27
GENDER: Male
SEXUALITY: Hetero
ETHNICITY: Asian
YEARS AT ACADEMY: Three
WHAT CLASS DO THEY TEACH: Ethics & Social Service
BASIC DESCRIPTION: Clocking in at 5'9'' Ellis has an angular build, usually standing with a slouch in place of posture, making him appear much shorter. His wardrobe tends to be quite varied and colourful (with a particular affinity for wearing pink), exempting his trademark olive brown trench coat.
POWERS:
Human Aspect Removal - Ellis is capable of removing any aspect of another human (or himself) that he so chooses - be it an emotion, a physical trait, an attitude, a memory, their visibility, etc. Once removed, the 'aspects' are stored in a briefcase that he carries with him at all times, until he chooses to restore them to their original owner.
Weakness - The briefcase only has so much room. If overfilled, Ellis will lose his powers and everything stored inside it. Another bummer is the fact that he has no idea how much space a given aspect will take up, and as such, no idea how much space he has left at any given time.

"When I say I know how you feel, I really do mean it quite literally, I'm afraid.
MONIKER: The Counselor
AGE: 34
GENDER: Male
SEXUALITY: Hetero
ETHNICITY: German
BASIC DESCRIPTION: This is along with your character picture. Usually, these things are only faces, so just a blurb about body type, posture, general dress, etc. This does not ave to be long.
POWERS:
Telepathic Communication - Able to communicate telepathically with others.
Weakness: - While he can project his own thoughts into the minds of others at will, he cannot hear or read their thoughts unless said thoughts are specifically directed at him.
Empathy - Able to feel the emotions of others.
Weakness - 'Feeling' the emotions of others is quite literal. When choosing a specific target, his own emotions will change to be those of the other person. The usefulness of this is limited due to the fact that he cannot determine why the person was feeling that way, and he cannot simply turn off the acquired emotion and return to how he was previously feeling - his mood must revert naturally. This can be incredibly inconvenient in the case of very extreme emotions such as anger or sadness. Another downside is the fact that his actions will often be affected in ways his 'true self' may not appreciate.
