Biography

They say the day little baby Lobo opened his eyes was the first day his parents knew true evil. The "Main Man", whose real name is unpronouncable and moniker means "one who devours your entrails and thoroughly enjoys it," is the last of his people for one reason: he killed them all. Hailing from the planet Czarnia, a virtual paradise that knew nothing of war and played host to an immortal, utopic species; when Lobo was born his evil was so frighteningly apparent that the nurse who delivered him went insane and became the planet's first mental patient in ten millennia, after an incident where the infant chewed off four of her fingers. Lobo knew he was one of a kind as soon as he started to think, but he wanted even more. Inspired by the idea of genocide, the little maniac created a swarm of lethal scorpion-like creatures, set them on his people and wiped them all out except for himself, claiming it was a science project and giving himself an 'A'. He is now the galaxy's most renowned bounty hunter, who frequently encounters Earth's heroes and somehow falls into anti-heroic roles because of all the villains crazier and more ambitious than he is. Despite his ruthless, vulgar, crass, vile, repulsive, indiscriminate, savage, brutal, self-serving, murderous, misogynistic, psychotic, hellish, barbaric, hypermasculine, uncaring, cruel, sadistic, hedonist, brutish, bloodthirsty, homicidal, chauvinistic, maniacal, lunatic, tasteless, brash, loutish, headstrong, vicious nature, he has many redeeming qualities, such as:

Abilities
  • Czarnian Physiology: It is said that Czarnians can only be truly killed by other Czarnians (though this does not matter to Lobo either way, as he cannot die by any means). Furthermore, Lobo has been banned from entering either Heaven or Hell. Lobo can survive unaided in the vacuum of space.
  • Superhuman Strength - His strength varies greatly from writer to writer. Lobo has shown strength sufficient enough to knock out Superman with his blows without too much apparent effort, but at times is barely able to pick up cars. At most times, Lobo is shown to be on par with Superman in terms of strength. He has even shown enough strength to destroy entire planets. More often than not, Lobo is able to effortlessly lift far in excess of 100 tons.
  • Superhuman Stamina - He possesses inexhaustible stamina and in most interpretations cannot tire.
  • Immortality - Lobo is functionally immortal and cannot die no matter what happens. He is immune to the effects of aging and disease and has been banned from entering either Heaven or Hell.
  • Invulnerability - He has at times shrugged off blows from the likes of Superman with no damage, taken planet-destroying attacks without so much as a scratch but at other occurrences has had his skin penetrated by bullets and had only some resistance against most magic spells and attacks.
  • Superhuman Speed - Lobo possesses the ability to sharpen his awareness and increase his temporal flow, appearing to move faster than humanly possible. He can move at incredible speeds, sufficient enough to match Kryptonians in fistfights.
  • Self-Sustenance - Lobo does not need any food, water, air, or sleep and he can survive in the vacuum of space without any harm.
  • Regeneration - If Lobo does somehow sustain an injury, his accelerated healing factor enables him to regenerate damaged or destroyed tissue instantly, with little apparent pain. He will apparently heal from any injury. For instance, Lobo can regenerate out of a pool of his own blood, apparently recycling the cells instantly. The speed of regeneration has also varied throughout his appearances.
  • Bio-Fission - If Lobo spills even a drop of blood, that drop can become a completely new Lobo.
  • Genius Level Intellect - As unbelievable as it may seem, despite his violent and loutish nature, Lobo seems to have a genius-level intellect in matters of destruction and violence. He can create complex virulent agents and the necessary antidotes to them such as the one he let loose on Czarnia, resulting in the deaths of the entire population in the span of one week. He was also able to scavenge parts from a destroyed time hopper and attach them to his own bike, producing a working time machine.
  • Tracking - The tracking ability allows him to trace any prey across even the Universe.
  • Multilingualism - By his own account, Lobo can speak 17,897 different languages from across the galaxy.

  • Love

DC_Comics_Bluebird_Batman_28.png

Name: Harper Row

Alias: Blue Bird

Bio:
In early issues featuring Harper Row, she is introduced as a streetwise young woman from the Narrows, one of the roughest neighborhoods in Batman's locale of Gotham City. She and her brother are also revealed to be from a broken family with a deceased mother and a deadbeat father who would later end up in jail.[9] With such humble beginnings, Row did not seem naturally inclined to be a hero. In fact, she made her first appearance stealing food from a Wayne charity gala.[6] However, her life changed when Batman saved her brother Cullen from being gay-bashed, although not before the bullies managed to butcher Cullen's hair with a pair of scissors.
Batman's intervention left a lasting impression on the young woman. In addition to shaving her own head in solidarity with her brother, Harper began trying to learn more about Batman in order to assist him in his fight against crime in Gotham. She even managed to discover the devices Batman uses to disable the city's security cameras, and improved them with technology of her own design.[6]
Her efforts only earned the Batman's ire; at one point he rewarded Harper's attempts at helping him by breaking her nose. The next day Harper visits Bruce Wayne at Wayne Tower and shows him plans that she thinks will help Batman. To her surprise, Bruce agrees. That night, Batman tracks Harper and apologizes to her. She tells him she may not know the details, but she knows he's going through a lot of pain (the death of Damian Wayne). She also reminds Batman what he means to the city with a touching and personal story. The issue concludes with Harper's message to Batman broadcast on Wayne Tower. It's one simple word taught to Harper by her mother before her death: "RESOLVE", which just so happens to begin with the letter "R".[9] Even saving Batman's life by pulling his unconscious body out of Gotham Bay and restarting his heart using only jumper cables and a car battery failed to win him over.[2]
In Batman Eternal, Harper stows away on board Red Robin (Tim Drake)'s plane and, over the course of the series, gains his trust. In issue #41, she suits up as Bluebird for the first time in order to rescue her brother Cullen; Red Robin and his allies Batgirl and Red Hood are caught up in a trap, leaving it up to her.[10] Despite setbacks in her relationship with Batman himself, a near-future flash forward shows that Row eventually manages to overcome Batman's reservations and joins him in fighting crime as Bluebird.[5]
During Batman & Robin Eternal, it is revealed that Harper's mother was murdered by Cassandra Cain, who it is eventually revealed was acting as an agent of 'Mother', a villain who manipulates traumatized children on the grounds that she will make them stronger through trauma (Although Cassandra had been sent to kill both of Harper's parents and only killed her mother before she found she couldn't do it). Even more shockingly, Mother had Harper's mother murdered as part of a plan to 'offer' Harper to Batman as the perfect Robin; Batman had made contact with her to try and expose her long-term agenda and believed that he was meant to kill the parents of the new Robin Mother had chosen for him, when actually he was just sent after two of Mother's other disciples as a test of his loyalty to her ideals while Harper's parents were attacked in Gotham. Despite recognizing Harper's qualities would make her an ideal partner, at the time Batman simply forced her surviving father to take responsibility for his role as a parent as he didn't want to benefit from Mother's plan,[11] never revealing the truth even after Harper began working with him as Bluebird. Mother attempts to win Harper to her point of view by arguing that her own family fell apart so that she had to rise up on her own, offering to let Harper kill Cassandra Cain after revealing that Cassandra was the one who killed her mother,[12] but Harper rejects that idea, proclaiming that she grew up because her mother supported and recognized her desire for a better life rather than trying to make Harper be what her mother believed would work. Following Mother's defeat, Harper assures the returned Batman that she understands his reasons for not telling her about his history with Mother and his indirect role in her mother's death, but recent events have prompted her to go to college to receive official qualifications for her electrician skills and explore a life outside of the vigilante role, but Batman assures her as she leaves that Bluebird will always be welcome in Gotham if she decides to suit up again.

Those skills have been further trained by his father, though with the tempered hand of non-lethal force that the batman endorses. He has also shown himself to be an excellent investigator and detective himself, if not to the level of Batman himself or Tim Drake.

Equipment: Armored gauntlets, advanced kevlar hooded cloak, katana, batarangs, smart-mask, grappling hook, utility belt

Bio:

The son of Talia Al Ghul and Bruce Wayne, Damian was born without his father's knowledge and raised within the league of assassins. He was meant to be all the things his father was, and the one thing he was not; agreeable with R'as Al Ghul's vision for the future of humanity.

But after treachery and a violent assault left the League in tatters and R'as seemingly dead, Talia fled and left the then ten year old Damian with his father to be kept safe. Over the last two years, Damian has taken the Robin mantle on and taken his father's teachings to heart. Somewhat. Ish. Nonetheless, he has proven himself on the side of justice even over that of his old allegiance to the league, even if his methods can be harsh.

AKA: Taskmaster, Tony Masters
VdTQv8B.jpg
Bio: The man who would become the Taskmaster was born a prodigious savant of mnemonic talents. He discovered his unusual abilities in childhood when, after watching a cowboy television program, he found he could duplicate the rope tricks he had seen the actors perform. Growing to understand his ability, he saw a man perform a difficult backwards leap from a diving board; he duplicated the dive, but nearly drowned because he didn't know how to swim. Afterwards, his mother called in psychiatrists who studied his ability, terming it "photographic reflexes." He employed his talent several times during his youth for professional gain, most notably when he became a star quarterback of his high school football team after watching one pro football game. After graduating high school he contemplated becoming a crimefighter, but decided crime would be more lucrative.
He had a long and varied career crossing freely back and forth as both crime-fighter and criminal alternatively.

He served both in the Thunderbolts Initiative and on the Suicide Squad, though he's recently stated that no government program holds him on a leash.

Most recently, he has been working as a mercenary, mainly to train troops, but often on covert missions as well.

Name: Sample Maestro
Age: 16 years
Race: Sentient 2000 Sharp 25N-S100 CRT TV with heavy modifications
Level: Street
Hair: None
Eyes: His monitor is black when turned off/blue when idle
Height: 6'4

INTELLIGENCE: 2
STRENGTH: 5
SPEED: 1
DURABILITY: 2
ENERGY PROJECTION: 2
FIGHTING ABILITY:6

Skills: Having originally started off as a TV that had been tossed away in favor of a new model, 'Sam' was lucky enough to have been by a bolt of lightning powerful enough to bring some semblance of life to the TV! Had the TV been strange already to begin with? Who could really say for sure. But dragging itself through the junkyard by it's power cord, 'Sam' began to add together bits and pieces of technology until it had assembled a body! He'd even gone as far as to give himself a 'makeover' so to speak.

But as far as skills go, 'Sam' can shift to videos and the like that get across what it is he's trying to say. Like say he were to greet someone. He'd wave while playing perhaps a music video that had 'hi/hello' in some form in the lyrics. He's about as strong as a grown adult male and he can use his plug in a similar manner to a scorpion's tail or to plug it in and charge himself up!

Equipment: He has wings he's made up out of metal frames and while they can support his weight, he still hasn't quite got the hang of flying with them. He also has a jacket and hat that he wears when walking around in public.

Bio:

Having been created to sit in any household like TVs of it's model, the 25N-1000 model by the US subsidiary of Sharp Corporation, it was a big hit with consumers. That was at least until larger and TVs capable of rendering high-definition and making for a better piece in an entertainment center came into being. The TV that would eventually become the Sample Maestro was chucked out in favor of a flat-screen TV in a family's living room.

Normally, that would have been the end of this little story. After all nobody hears stories about televisions in junkyards right? But 'Sam' was a special TV for as it lay gathering muck and grime, on one particular friday afternoon, the weather was bad. Reports were coming in of thunderstorms and the like. Most people were smart enough to stay indoors until this all blew over. But one bolt of lightning struck downwards and zapped Sam.

static_lightning_strike.jpg

The lightning super-charged the TV and Sam was no longer destined for the scrap heap! As a matter of fact, the TV flicked on and dragging itself along by digging the ends of it's power cord into the ground, it tried to grab as many pieces of scrap-metal as it could. Once the workers came back the next day after the storm had passed, they were quite horrified by what they saw! It stood at least a foot taller than them, had metal wings, and it's...head was a TV???

a57f8603b352.jpg

Desiring to go out and find a purpose for itself, the TV-now dubbing itself the Sample Maestro due to how he communicated, he raced off even as the workers tried in vain to capture him. Selling him off to the right people could earn them boatloads of cash! But after being left behind by it's old owners for a new model of TV, Sam saw this as a second chance and gripping onto the fence, he flew away as the workers cursed up a storm.

He didn't know where he was going or even do! Maybe he could become a superhero? He wouldn't last too long as a supervillian, that's for sure. But he'd find a way to keep going!

Biography

As daughter to Deathstroke the Terminator and a Cambodian woman he was contracted with escorting out of her war-torn country, Lillian Worth, Rose Wilson was raised in secrecy from her father, her ninja-like reflexes enhanced by flashes of precognitive ability that was recurrent throughout Slade's children. After further contact with her father led to her abduction by the third Ravager (Slade's half-brother), Wade DeFarge, and her mother's apparent death, Rose was ironically dropped off in the temporary care of his frequent enemies the Teen Titans by Slade; though he kept a watchful eye on the development of the girl he now knew as his daughter. She was eventually placed with a foster family, and seeing his opportunity to reclaim his daughter Deathstroke anonymously hired DeFarge to murder her foster parents and attempt to kill her. Manipulating events so it seemed as though he protected her from DeFarge, Slade offered her his sword and the opportunity to execute the mercenary, further urging her to do it and claim the title of Ravager for herself so she could have the family she always wanted.

Pushed into landing the killing blow, Rose was subsequently brainwashed to become a lethal killer, sculpted heir and obedient field partner to her father, which was what he was truly seeking to begin with rather than the illusion of family he promised. He chose to inject her with the same serum that granted him his enhanced abilities despite being fully aware of the psychological toll it took, and this inoculation along with his undeniably unfatherly treatment of her led to Rose suffering a psychotic breakdown and stabbing out one of her own eyes to mirror him in an attempt to garner his approval. Somehow encouraged by this show of devotion, Slade continued molding her, but a number of encounters with Nightwing led to her coming back to her senses enough to realize her father's deceit and turning her back on him.

She was thereafter placed with Tim Drake's new team of the Teen Titans at Nightwing's request, subject to intense scrutiny and disdain initially due to her aggression and antisocial tendencies. After a several-year-long stint as a lasting member of the team, however, through many highs, lows and roster changes, she managed to find a degree of peace with herself; And even-- In a strange way, though she never forgave him-- with Slade, who she came to realize needed her far more than she needed him. Despite a number of attempts by her father to reenter her life (and one premeditated, and successful if not for her own restraint, attempt by her to end his), it was the Titans she ultimately embraced as the family she'd been searching for all along. As she and the members she'd stuck it through with reached that age where it was getting weird to call them "Teen" anymore, they all contentedly accepted the roster turnover and went their separate ways, with Rose finding her own path dispensing hard justice as a mercenary who prevents other mercs and assassins from carrying out their contracts, effectively a contingency for anyone who has reason to believe someone wants them dead.

Abilities
  • Unique Physiology - Having been treated with the exact same serum that gave Deathstroke his abilities, Ravager's base powers are functionally identical to his. The serum enhances her physical and mental faculties in numerous ways.
  • Enhanced Mental Capacity - The reason for her high intelligence stat. Though not a genius in the sense of PhDs and scientific knowledge as with Reed Richards, Tony Stark and others, as is the case with Slade Rose's mental faculties are in fact her greatest asset. The serum enhancements essentially render her mind a supercomputer, opening up vast portions of the brain ordinary humans don't even utilize in their day-to-day functioning. The saying goes that the serum allows one to use 90% of their brain in comparison to an ordinary individual's 10%, meaning Rose's processing and sorting speed, capacity for visualization and recollection, memorization, calculation and general parsing ability all function at off-the-charts levels, including under optimum efficiency during the heat of combat. Grasp of tactics, strategy and overall problem-solving are naturally occurring to her even if she lacks the military experience of her father, and she has even been known to get the drop on him.
  • Precognition - Likely a byproduct of her mental enhancements, and one that runs in the family. Rose's is more developed than her father's and more honed than the true future sight possessed by her half-brother; She can effectively predict the flow of combat and see enemies' moves before they make them, which in conjunction with her increased processing speed and multitasking ability can make for brutal effect when applied.
  • Enhanced Physical Attributes - Like Slade, she is physically superior to anything the finest human athletes could even hope to offer in all regards. The adage "strength of ten men" is frequently used to describe Deathstroke's strength, and Rose's is similar, with her able to lift approximately ten times her own body weight. She is also notedly faster and has better reflexes than Slade, which for someone with supposedly instantaneous reflexes is a big deal.
  • Regeneration - Though it doesn't measure up to the ones possessed by the likes of Wolverine and Deadpool, Rose has the same regenerative healing factor and immune system as her father. Center-of-mass bullet and stab wounds, though painful, are rarely a long term problem and don't inhibit her to any significant degree, though unmitigated severe damage to the head or brain can have the same nasty effects you'd expect it to. She is additionally immune to most conventional toxins, diseases and parasites due to her body's ability to neutralize detrimental contaminants, and even mind control and possession can be resisted by her physiology to a degree. Though it has yet to take effect, her body's regenerating cells also mean her aging is drastically slowed and will more or less halt at the prime of her life.
  • Killing knowledge - Self-explanatory. Hand-to-hand, swordsmanship, and all manner of honed and disciplined ways to hurt people come naturally to her.

  • Nice Execution!

Name: Thomas Cobblepot
Alias: The Penguin
Universe: Gotham TV Series
SO: Bisexual
Gender: Male
Bio:
Born as the son of Gertrud Kapelput and Elijah Van Dahl, Gertrude left Elijah without even telling him she was pregnant. Thomas Cobblepot was then raised solely by his mother after his birth and was told his father died when he was young. It is implied that he was bullied as a child from a statement "Thomas, don't listen to the other children" which he said his mother said to him. She used to sing to him at night and tell him that some day he would be a great man, developing his desires for power and to move up in the world. He eventually entered the criminal underworld through Fish Mooney and her gang, where he received the nickname "Penguin", which he despised.[3]

Thomas Cobblepot was tired of being a lackey of Fish Mooney. He quickly sold her out to Crispus Allen and Renee Montoya of his own free will. Fish soon finds out and severely injures Cobblepot. After his assault by Fish, Falcone met him after saving James Gordon and Harvey Bullock and made a deal with him: in exchange for a secret he has, Falcone would assign Gordon to kill Cobblepot in hopes of persuading the detective into sparing him with the knowledge he was one of the few police officers with a moral compass, he would return to Gotham in secret and work his way into Maroni's grace as a snitch. Falcone agreed and asked for the secret Cobblepot has: Fish and Nikoai are secret lovers with plans to overthrow Falcone.[4] James Gordon is then assigned by Carmine Falcone to dispose of the traitor. Gordon tricks Harvey Bullock by pretending to kill Cobblepot, who drops into the river. He resurfaces once the cops are gone, however, and proceeds to murder a fisherman for his sandwich. He then sets out to create his own criminal empire.[3]
Later, he was in the countryside after walking for a while, and he attempts to hitch-hike his way back to Gotham City. He is picked up by two jocks in an SUV, and is grateful for their help. However, they make fun of him and ask him if anyone has ever told him that he walked like a penguin; infuriated, Cobblepot broke a beer bottle and stabbed the man in the passenger seat before taking over the SUV. Hiding the body in a garbage bag, Cobblepot drove to a small trailer park and rented a small trailer for $100. He attempts to call the surviving kid's mother to get $10,000 in exchange for his release, but she does not believe him, and he, in turn, confronts the hostage once she hangs up. [5]
Oswald later arrived back in Gotham via bus. While waiting at a street corner he was recognized by a thug, who sought to capture and take him to Fish Mooney. As the man dragged him through a tunnel, Cobblepot disabled and murdered him with a pocket knife, took his money and used it to buy himself a tuna sandwich. He later took a job at a restaurant where he met and befriended Sal Maroni. He later made a surprise visit to Gordon.[1]
Gordon angrily confronted him on returning to Gotham and putting him, his fiancé and Thomas at risk but reluctantly takes Cobblepot on as an informant when he tells Gordon about an upcoming gang war involving Arkham Asylum, and gives him information that helps him thwart an assassination attempt on Mayor Aubrey James. Cobblepot hires a gang of thugs to rob the restaurant so he can save the restaurant's money and endear himself to Maroni. Sure enough, Maroni promotes him to restaurant manager after the original restaurant manager was killed during the robbery. Cobblepot later visits the thugs he hired and kills them with poisoned cannoli. After their deaths, Thomas left with the money.[2]
Sal Maroni makes plans to rob a casino owned by Carmine Falcone. Carmine Falcone meets with the mob leaders on his side to detail about what to do with Sal Maroni. Sal Maroni later watches the news of the "Viper" drug where he thinks that they might be of good use. Oswald tells Sal Maroni that he knows the janitor there that might be of help to them. Sal Maroni claims that "Penguin" is a good name for him. Thomas reveals his real name and how he used to work for Fish Mooney until Carmine Falcone's men tried to kill him. Sal Maroni then pins Thomas' head to the table. Sal Maroni later sends his right-hand man to pick up James Gordon at the police station where Sal Maroni wants to see him about Thomas Cobblepot. James Gordon is brought to Sal Maroni at his restaurant where he wants to get confirmation about Thomas' story about Carmine Falcone to determine who is telling the truth. Sal Maroni hears from Jim Gordon about his investigation on Thomas and Martha Wayne and how he covered up Thomas' death to fool Carmine Falcone, Fish Mooney, and the Gotham City Police Department. Sal Maroni sees that Thomas is right and spares his life while letting James Gordon go. Sal Maroni states to James Gordon to keep their meeting private and that he might call on him again. After James Gordon leaves, Sal Maroni plans to use Thomas Cobblepot in their fight against Carmine Falcone. Later that night, Thomas and Sal await their men to come back from their heist at the casino. Upon the heist being complete, Sal has Frankie drive off.[6]

When he returns home,Thomas' mother continues to suspect he is involved with a woman. Denying this, Thomas does mention that he has made friends with James Gordon. He then takes a bath and converses with his mother while soaking in a clawfoot bathtub. Meanwhile, having been identified as the perpetrator in Thomas' murder, Gordon is arrested and brought back to the Gotham City Police Department where he protests his innocence and Harvey Bullock is also apprehended when he comes to his defense. Suddenly, Thomas arrives, which shocks everyone.[7]
Cobblepot leads Maroni's men to a warehouse owned by Falcone's underling, Nikolai, killing him and his fellow operatives inside. Cobblepot then stabs Frankie Carbone with the help of two Maroni operatives which he brought them over to his side. Cobblepot then meets with Falcone, and a flashback reveals that Cobblepot offered to be Falcone's spy when he was caught informing on Mooney.[8]
Thomas attempts to make amends with Fish by offering her a broach as a gift. She accepts the gift, but then stabs him in the arm with it to punish him for snitching on her, claiming that he "hasn't suffered enough". Oswald then kidnapped Timothy, the young man who replaced him as Fish's personal assistant. He pressured Timothy into spilling Fish's secrets, although Timothy had very little access to secret information. After finishing the interrogation, he ordered Timothy killed to preserve the peace between the mobs and then limped out of the room.[9] Thomas later confronted Fish's spy, Liza, and threatened to tell Falcone that Liza was spying on him. He ultimately agreed not to, but left Liza with the knowledge that he knew her secret.[10]
Thomas was later brought before Falcone, believing Maroni behind the attack on his money vault. Cobblepot states that Maroni didn't commit the armory robbery, as there is a mole working for someone else, possibly for Fish Mooney. When he sees Liza enter the room, he immediately has his answer but remains silent as Falcone assigns him to find the mole. Thomas later tells his driver that he's not ready to rat out Liza yet, labeling her a "time bomb.[11]
In his time in Maroni's ranks, he's given power enough to extort the fishermen on the mob boss's turf but is arrested by the GCPD after trying to squeeze more protection money out of them. He is eventually bailed out by Maroni, who makes it clear that he initiated the arrest himself to remind Thomas of his reach and teach him a lesson about hubris.[12]

While dining at a restaurant with Maroni and several other gangsters, Falcone called him and ordered him to go see him. But before he could so, Jack Buchinsky caused an electric shock that forced Maroni and the other gangsters (including Thomas) to go to the GCPD for protection. The Electrocutioner then orchestrated another electric shock, this time much more powerful. Before Buchinsky could kill Maroni and his gangsters, Gordon stopped him and Aaron Danzig. After the Electrocutioner problem was solved, The Penguin went to Falcone's place, where Carmine reveals that Fish "captured" Liza and in turn for her return to Falcone, Falcone must leave Gotham. Thomas changes the plan when he reveals that Liza is a mole, Falcone sends Victor Zsasz and some henchwomen to get rid of Fish's thugs, Falcone then captures Fish and Butch Gilzean.[13]
Oswald then became a high-ranking member of Falcone's gang and changed the nightclub's name to Thomas' and pink neon fish was replaced by a blue neon umbrella. Thomas however, was faced by Fish and Butch who escaped Falcone's torturer, Bob. Before they could do something ugly, Zsasz arrived and captured Butch but Fish escaped. Thomas also helped Gordon when Gordon wanted Arnold Flass arrested for murder, he had Gabrielinterrogate Derek Delaware for information. Gabe then gave the info to Gordon. [14]
Fish revealed to Maroni that Thomas was a spy for Falcone, because of that Maroni had Thomas and him taken to a trip in a shack owned by Maroni in the woods. Thomas attempted to kill Maroni, only to find that the gun had no bullets. Thomas was nearly killed by Maroni when the latter ordered Duffy to destroy a car with Oswald in. Duffy was coerced to release Thomas under the threat of Falcone killing him.[15]
Penguin tried to convince Don Falcone of Maroni's threat to his life, however, Falcone continues to talk about the re-decoration of Fish Mooney's club, to Thomas' frustration. Falcone then tells Penguin that he has decided to give the club to Penguin as a reward and that he would deal with Maroni. Later Penguin arrives at the GCPD to bring Detective Gordon and invitation to the grand re-opening of the nightclub, but he has an awkward encounter with Edward Nygma who attempted to give him a riddle to answer though he was dismissed. When Jim arrived, he turned down Thomas' offer of attending the nightclub and though Penguin offered to help him with his case, Gordon rejected the offer telling him he didn't want him coming to the GCPD again. Offended, Penguin tells Jim that he shouldn't treat him that way and that he'd one day soon he'd need his help. Later, Penguin was visited by Don Maroni, much to his surprise, there the Don makes his intentions clear to not hurt Penguin, due to a deal he made with Falcone. However he warns him that the second Falcone was out of the picture, so was he.[16]
When a drunkard dared to boo his mother, Penguin viciously attacked him in front of everyone. Later, the club continued to tank under Penguin's management. Falcone sent Victor Zsasz with a solution to the problem. At Penguin's surprise, he brings Butch Gilzean, who spent two weeks being tortured by the Zsaz to break his will, and to help Penguin run the nightclub.[17]
Penguin later begins to have trouble getting alcohol for the club after running out, as the booze was controlled by Maroni who hated him with a passion. That night, thanks to unexpected help from Butch Gilzean, Penguin manages to steal alcohol having police officers "confiscate it".[18]
Gordon and Bullock visit's Thomas' to ask the Penguin for his help and he is pleased to assist them after Jim promises him a favor and five minutes alone with Loeb's files. Gordon, Bullock, and Penguin reach an old farm located on the outskirts of the city where the Penguin had heard Falcone tell Loeb on the phone, that the farm was safe. There they are welcomed in by an elderly named Jude and Marge, under the guise of being a security team sent to check out the farm's security. Unexpectedly, the elderly couple, having figured out that they were not who they claimed to be, opened fire against them however they managed to subdue them quickly, leaving Penguin to watch them while they checked the attic. Later, the elderly couple managed to escape Penguin. Thomas later met with Marge and Jude after letting them go the previous day, with the promise of helping them escape the wrath of the commissioner. Unfortunately for them, he could on procure one ticket to Arizona, and gave the two the ultimatum of deciding who would get it. Marge strangles Judge, and afterward, Penguin shoots her with a shotgun. [19]
After being freed from Maroni, The Penguin plotted the assassination of the Italian Crime Lord in a bar called Lidia's. Oswald then convinced Lidia to hand over the bar to him while she still tending to the bar. Oswald hired the hired killer Connor to kill Maroni, he had Butch hide some guns at the bar after Butch was brainwashed by Zsasz.[20]
Sparking the WarEdit

When Maroni, his hitman Tommy Bones and some other gangsters were eating at Lidia's, Connor arrived and attempted to shoot Maroni, but found out that his gun had no bullets. Maroni's men then killed Connor. Thomas revealed that it was intentional as he wanted Maroni and Falcone to kill each other so he could take over. It worked, a bloody war began.[21]
Cobblepot then attempted to murder Falcone at the hospital, but Falcone was saved by Gordon, who in turn saved both Cobblepot and Falcone's lives by killing Maroni's hit men. Gordon, Bullock, Falcone, Gilzean and Thomas then went to an old warehouse owned by Carmine, Falcone claimed that everyone who knew about the warehouse were dead. He was wrong, Fish knew about it and she was surely alive. She had arrived in Gotham just as the war reached its ending point. Fish overwhelmed them and tied them. She then called Maroni to make a deal. After Maroni offended Fish, she shot Maroni in the forehead, killing him instantly. A shootout ensued and Fish eventually won. The Penguin was however freed by Butch during the skirmish. When Fish was talking to the captives, Thomas arrived with a war machine gun and massacred all of Fish's thugs, finishing the last thug with a pistol. Penguin eventually found Fish in the rooftop and fought her. While they were fighting, Gilzean shot both in the legs, The Penguin then knocked Butch out and punched Fish, eventually pushing her into the river, killing his nemesis once and for all. He then shouted "I'm the king of Gotham!".[22]

The Penguin then began a classic crime lord life, collecting debts. After Gordon was discharged of service by Loeb, the Penguin said that he would convince Loeb to reintegrate him if he collected a debt from Odgen Barker, who was killed in the process. He then intimidated Loeb to reintegrate him.[23] He later appears with several of his thugs in his place having a drink, and Bullock visit him. Bullock says that he will always be seen as Fish's umbrella man and that he wants revenge on Fish's death. Bullock is then held at gunpoint by Thomas' bodyguards and exits the room. Thomas angrily breaks his cup, but quickly calms down and asks for another drink.[24]
Thomas was forced by Theo Galavan to work for him or else his mother would die. Thomas and Butch murdered Janice Caulfield and he had Zsasz murder Randall Hobbs, though Zsasz failed. He was later confronted by Gordon, who knew about the murders. Thomas said that Gordon had dirt on his name since he collected a debt for him and killed an innocent man. [25]
After Penguin killed Janice Caulfield and failed to kill Hobbs, he returns to Galavan and asks for his mother's release, stating that he would still do Galavan's bidding. Theo denies and tells him to leave. Penguin is now determined to take down Galavan and get revenge on him. Butch advises him to kidnap Tabitha and trade her for Cobblepot's mother but Penguin doubts that Theo loves Tabitha as much as Penguin loves his mother. Theo later sends Tabitha to Cobblepot to give him a list of multiple buildings owned by Wayne Enterprises which Theo wants burned down. Theo also wants Cobblepot to steal an old knife out of a safe in one of the building. He arranges for Cobblepot to receive Bunderslaw's eye which is needed to open the safe. Penguin is able to get the knife and burn down the buildings. However, as he plans to find out what drives Theo in order to destroy him Penguin meets Edwige, an old associate of Butch to find out the history of the knife. Edwige tells him that the knife is the Wayne Family Crest which was used 200 years ago by an ancestor of Bruce Wayne to cut off the hand of Caleb Dumas after the latter was accused of raping Celestine Wayne. The angered Waynes forced Dumas and his entire family into exile where the Dumas changed their name to Galavan. Penguin learns that Theo is a descendant of the Dumas and wants revenge on the Waynes. Penguin is glad because this means Theo is driven by emotion and thereby vulnerable. He then plans for Butch to seemingly change sides, claiming that Cobblepot is too mad to serve, and get into Galavan's business, but in reality plans for Butch to search for Thomas' mother. To not give Theo the opportunity to doubt Butch's story, Penguin cuts off one of his hands.[26]
Not knowing of Butch being reprogrammed by Tabitha, Theo sent Butch back to Cobblepot as a double agent and set a trap for him. Butch tells Cobblepot of his mother's location, and Cobblepot goes to the spot with his man, only to be confronted by Theo and Tabitha. Cobblepot orders his man to shoot Theo and Tabitha only to be betrayed by Butch. Cobblepot then pleas for mercy, asking Theo to let his mother go and he will die in her place instead. Tabitha lets Cobblepot's mother leave, only to throw a knife at her in the back. Cobblepot ends up taunting Theo for being a coward and never do the dirty work himself, tricking Theo to get close enough for Cobblepot to stab him in the neck and escaping. Cobblepot later raids Theo's Mayor victory party with the rest of his men, only to be confronted by Jim and wounded by Tabitha.[27]
Cobblepot later encountered Nygma in a forest while Nygma was trying to bury his girlfriend's body. Cobblepot was hiding in an abandoned trailer in the forest and asked Nygma to help him before passing out from the previously inflicted gun shot by Tabitha.[28]
When Thomas woke up, Nygma wanted to get some advice from Cobblepot for how to be a murderer, only to be rejected by Cobblepot who states that he is not interested in giving advice. Cobblepot lost his will to extract revenge or fight as he sees that he is the reason for his mother's death. Nygma suggests that love is a weakness and now that Cobblepot's mother is dead, and Kristin is dead, they are both free man with nothing to lose, making them powerful. This sparks Cobblepot's will again to recover and take revenge.[29]
After failing to convict Theo for kidnapping Ex-Mayor James, Jim was kidnapped by policemen that Theo brided. Theo fought Jim in a duel and won, and told the policemen to kill Jim slowly. The policemen were then shot by Gabe after Theo left, and rescued by Cobblepot.[30]

Cobblepot brought Jim to Nygma's place along with few men still siding with Cobblepot and they prepare to strike at Theo's apartment. Selina later joins the team and gave them a secret passage into the apartment. They busted into the place before Bruce is sacrificed by Father Creel. Later, Captain Barnes arrives to arrest Theo and stop Jim for doing anything stupid but was later knocked out by Cobblepot. Jim and Cobblepot later takes Theo somewhere near the sea. Cobblepot beats Theo with a bat repeatedly, and Theo pleas to Jim for a swift death and Jim shoots him in response. Cobblepot puts an umbrella through Theo's throat afterward.[31]
After the death of Theo, Cobblepot is left with nobody and wanders the streets. He is later arrested by Barnes. Cobblepot confesses to the murder of Mayor Theo and claims no one else is involved so that Jim and Nygma will not be arrested as well. Cobblepot also claims that he is insane, which is why he killed the Mayor. He is later sent to Arkham Asylum and greeted by Hugo Strange. After a brief session with Dr. Strange, Cobblepot was told he will be treated with proper techniques, which the idea of it terrifies Cobblepot.[32]

When Jim visited Arkham Asylum to set up a trap for Mr. Freeze, Cobblepot tells Jim that he needs to help Cobblepot to get out because they are doing terrible things to him. But Jim replies coldly that Cobblepot is insane, as he claimed, and so he needed treatment. This angered Cobblepot, causing him to yell out that Jim was the one who killed Theo as he is being dragged away.[33]
After some therapy, Cobblepot turned a lot gentler, calmer, and lost all violence tenancy through only a small amount of sessions. He is declared sane again and is freed by Dr. Strange, who claims to have bigger plans for Cobblepot after his release.[34]

While at his mother's grave, Thomas met his long-lost father Elijah Van Dahl. While at Elijah's house, Thomas learned that Gertrud used to work as a cook for Elijah where they had been forbidden to make love. Upon Thomas meeting his stepmother, Grace, and stepsiblings, Charles and Sasha, Elijah holds a toast to their family.[35]
Thomas and Elijah start to bond. Thomas learns Elijah is sick and that he has a hole in his heart that continues to get bigger. Thomas eventually gathers up the courage to tell Elijah about his violent past. Elijah tells Thomas his past doesn't matter. This comes as a complete shock to Grace and her children. Grace tries to get Sasha to seduce Thomas, but he rejects her advances. Elijah becomes really sick and doctors announce that his condition is getting worse. Elijah tells Oswald that they will have many more years together. Elijah announces he wants to rewrite his will and leave everything to Oswald. As Elijah and Oswald have a drink, Elijah collapses and starts foaming at the mouth. The wine is spilled, revealing there was acid in it.[36]

After Elijah's death, the Van Dahls wish to do away with Thomas, however after Thomas begs them to let him stay, they decide to keep him around as a free maid, assuming that Thomas would commit suicide after the trauma he has experienced. So Thomas is allowed to stay and cooks and cleans after the Van Dahls, who treat him poorly and insult his late mother. One day, Thomas comes across the decanter that contained the poison used to kill Elijah. This, coupled with his poor treatment and memories of Elijah's death, caused Thomas to awaken from the conditioning he received at Strange's hands at Arkham. No longer inhibited by Strange's conditioning, he murders Charles and Sasha offscreen. That night, Thomas serves Grace dinner. Grace inquires as to where Charles and Sasha are and asks Thomas to ring the dinner bell. Thomas replies that he doubts they would hear it. He then reveals he knows all about their plot to kill Elijah. He then draws a knife on Grace, who screams out for Charles and Sasha to help her. Thomas tells her they will not come. Grace asks where they are, to which Thomas implies they are the very meal she has on her dinner table. Thomas then kills Grace by stabbing her to death.[37]
A day later, Thomas sits in the mansion watching a newscast in which Theo Galavan, now going by the name Azrael, drops into the frame. Thomas flashes a smile, which quickly contorts into one of rage before saying "Hello, old friend".[38]
The next day, as he's getting dressed, Thomas declares that there is nowhere to hide for Galavan and that he's coming for him. He's later seen paying his respects to Tabitha, who's in critical condition after getting stabbed by Theo. Butch believes him to be there to murder Tabitha, to which Thomas replies that he does have reason to do so, as she's the one who stabbed his mother in the back, however, she's really not the person at fault, and that Galavan is, as Tabitha was just following his orders. Thomas states that he was affected by Galavan because he ordered his mother's death. Butch was affected by Galavan because Tabitha's life is on the line because of him. And, of course, it's because of this that Tabitha herself was affected as well. Thomas proposes that the two of them reunite, if only for the purpose of killing Galavan. Butch agrees, and the two of them go to Wayne Manor, where Theo is seen attempting to kill Bruce Wayne, who is flanked by Alfred and Jim. Thomas surprises them all, telling Gordon that he should know by now that bullets don't kill the monster in front of them, and says to Theo that his last umbrella was stuck in his throat, and he's thinking of shoving another somewhere else. Thomas then addresses Gordon once more, saying that one thing he learned dealing with Theo is that you always need the right tools. Butch then lifts an RPG launcher to his shoulder and fires a rocket at Theo, who dies instantly. With that, Thomas and Butch depart into the night.[39]
Thomas then decides to turn his attention to Strange, seeking revenge for what Strange did to him while in Arkham. He and Butch take down a bus which they believe contains Strange, only to discover that that is not the case. Thomas is mortified to discover Fish Mooney, very much alive. It' isn't really made clear if Fish uses her new power to render Thomas unconscious or if Thomas passes out from unbridled fear. Butch also catches a glimpse of Fish, and retreats with his men. Thomas remains unconscious as a homeless woman later opens the back door of the bus, ergo accidentally unleashing Strange's experiments into Gotham City.[40]
Gaining public supportEdit

Being spared by Fish confused Thomas, causing him to go over the nights events over and over again in his head. Six months following the incident, he arrived at the police precinct during a press conference, accusing Nathaniel Barnes of lying to the people of Gotham. Thomas then told the reports he was present when the 'monsters' escaped Indian Hill, and urged them to find the main instigator, Fish Mooney. Once done, he crosses paths with Jim who is now working as a bounty hunter and points out his surprise that he hasn't found Fish yet. But Jim replies that Thomas hasn't made it worth his while, something in which Thomas agrees with.
He stops by the new nightclub run by Barbara Kean known as The Sirens where he has made her an offer to protect it, but she turns him down. She is also in partnership with Tabitha whom Butch still has a crush on, causing Thomas to send him to the bar due to the awkwardness. He then tells the pair to spread the word that he wants Fish Mooney, and will pay a million dollars to whoever can bring her in: alive or dead. Thomas and Butch then depart, but not before Thomas reveals that Butch has been pick-pocketed by Selina Kyle.

Thomas stops off at Arkham to visit Nygma, bringing him a gift which is said to be an almost unsolvable puzzle box, however Nygma solves it within seconds. Nygma apologises to Thomas for abandoning him months previously after his release from Arkham, but Oswald makes clear that he has forgiven him. Thomas talks about his troubles with Fish, but Nygma reminds him that "Penguins eat Fish".

After Barbara and Tabitha ran into some trouble with mobsters demanding protection, which lead to two of the mobsters being killed and the ringleader badly beaten by Barbara. It transpires that Butch is involved, as he hoped that Tabitha would run back to him for protection. Annoyed, Thomas shoots the last remaining mobster dead, and informs Tabitha that the only reason she is still alive is because of Butch, but once he gives the word he will kill her in retaliation for her killing his mother.[41]

Thomas holds his own press conference, informing the people of Gotham that he has been warning the police about Hugo Strange's monsters and Fish Mooney, however they said that Fish wasn't real and saying that the escapees were victims that need their help. He tells them that despite the GCPD recently just trying to apprehend Mooney, she ended up escaping. Thomas tells them the city is being invaded by the monsters, and urges the people of Gotham to help kill every single monster, which results in him getting a round of applause and public support.

Back at his mansion, Thomas and Butch watch a news broadcast about a hostage situation at an old mansion lead by Fish. Gathering a crowd of people, they arrive at the mansion during a police standoff, much to the anger of Barnes, who states that Bullock and Gordon have been held hostage. During the chaos Thomas gets a phone call from Gordon who tells him that Fish is escaping into the woods with Hugo Strange. Pleased, Thomas orders the crowd to storm the mansion, before going off on his own. He confronts Fish and holds her at gunpoint, and demands to know why she allowed him to live. Fish explains that she couldn't kill Thomas, due to how much he had come along and that turned him from an umbrella boy to the terror of Gotham, from Thomas to the Penguin. Almost tearful, Thomas decides to spare her life and allow her and Strange to escape. He returns back to the crowd where they have killed two of the monsters and are burning them. Thomas is then lifted up in the air and hailed by the crowds, showing their full support for him.[42]

Trusting with the newfound support by the people of Gotham Thomas decided to use his influence to run for Mayor of Gotham against Aubrey James, confident in his abilities his campaign gained a lot of support. Aubrey James reluctant to accept the fact the a criminal such as Penguin himself could win the election attempted to disuade him even threatening him to which Thomas replied by showing his own force holding him and his men at gunpoint but assured him he did not want to kill him as the election would be dull without an opponent although acknowledging he required some more assistance.

At least, that's what he remembered. He remembered all of these events, though he was named Oswald Cobblepot, and he was The Penguin. Not this short, fat and ugly man who was apparently now his uncle and had his name. He no longer had a position of power, though for some reason he still had Butch at his side. Aside from that, nothing was the same. His own club was now called "The Iceberg Lounge", and his own name wasn't even the same! But instead of trying to figure this out, Thomas decided that he needed to be a man of power in this city. He would take over his so called "uncle's" spot in this city and own his clubs and all of his men. No matter what it took, Thomas Cobblepot will be at the top once again.

Personality:
At first glance Cobblepot appears to be milquetoast, subservient, and somewhat of a sycophant. In reality he is an ambitious and cunning sociopath who is willing to do whatever it takes to obtain power. Despite this hunger, Cobblepot is patient and uses his high intellect to concoct plans in order to reach his goals. Virtually every move he makes is premeditated to a certain degree.
Even when things don't go exactly as planned, Cobblepot is highly adept at playing the hand he is dealt for the best. Among the more darker parts of Cobblepot's personality is his tendency for violence. He is more than willing to kill someone when he feels it's necessary and does so without pity or remorse. He speaks with a constant smile, often talking fast and shaky, with variant levels of flattery to whom he speaks to, often sarcastically.
Despite his malice and ruthlessness, he has a softer side and a degree of humanity when it comes to his mother whom he loves deeply and devotedly and his father whom he also loved but knew for a little amount of time. When his mother got killed, it devastated him deeply and when Edward said that his mother was Thomas' weakness, Thomas almost slit Edward's throat saying how his mother was the only person who truly cares and loves him. His father's murder shocked him out of his mental conditioning by Hugo Strange and prompted him to kill his stepfamily for killing Elijah.
At first, calling him Penguin made him very infuriated, to the point of murderous intents, but later, he decided to accept and adopt the epithet, admitting that it "grew on him". With the current outfit, name and mannerism, he is becoming closer to his original concept in the comic books.
The rapidity and precision of his Biblical references when he was picked up outside Gotham by the church group suggest that Christianity played a role in his upbringing. His facial expressions declare that, like the spoiled only child he seems to be, Oswald is always picked on by others and the universe, rather than ever being at fault himself.

Cobblepot himself kills with a blade, or improvised equivalent, slashing with great violence but surprising accuracy. He has completed 'dispassionate' kills, such as that of Frankie Carbone, but seems to prefer to leave the termination to others, in general, if he is not emotionally involved. Since "Penguin's Umbrella", he has bestowed a final kiss on the top of the head, something like a benediction or absolution, to those he murdered or had killed but also he has shown proficiency with numerous side arms showing he is not afraid of having to do the dirty work himself infact enjoying it to a degree of great satisfaction.

Powers:
Superhumanly Acute Senses: X-23 possesses superhumanly acute senses that are comparable to those of certain animals. She is capable of seeing at much greater distances, and with perfect clarity, than an ordinary human. She retains this same level of clarity in near-total darkness. Her sense of hearing is enhanced in a similar manner, allowing her to both hear sounds that ordinary human's can't and to hear sounds that ordinary humans can, but at much greater distances. X-23 is able to use her highly developed sense of smell to track targets by scent with an impressive degree of success, even if the scent has been eroded by natural factors, such as the weather.

Regenerative Healing Factor: Like Wolverine, X-23's primary mutant power is an accelerated healing factor that enables her to regenerate damaged or destroyed tissue with far greater speed and efficiency than an ordinary human. She is capable of fully healing injuries resulting in massive tissue damage and blood loss such as multiple bullet wounds, slash wounds, and puncture wounds within a matter of minutes. Her healing factor is developed to such a degree, she is capable of reattaching severed limbs, such as a hand. She has also proven capable of regrowing an entire arm on her own. In general, her healing factor is considered superior to Logan's because she does not have to deal with the foreign presence of adamantium in the body as much as he does.

Foreign Chemical Immunity: X-23's natural healing also affords her the virtual immunity to poisons and most drugs. She can be affected by some drugs, such as tranquilizers, if she is exposed to a massive dose.
  • Disease Immunity: Due to her highly efficient immune system, X-23 is immune to all Earthly diseases and infections.
  • Superhuman Stamina: X-23's muscles produce considerably less fatigue toxins during physical activity than the muscles of an ordinary human. She can exert herself at peak capacity for about 24 hours before fatigue begins to impair her.
  • Superhuman Agility: X-23's agility, balance, and bodily coordination are enhanced to levels that are beyond the natural physical limits of even the finest human athlete.
  • Superhuman Reflexes: X-23's reflexes are enhanced to levels that are beyond the natural physical limits of the finest human athlete. In at least one case she reacts to and slices in half with her claws a bullet fired at her face from nearly point-blank range
Longevity: Presumably, because X-23 is a clone of the mutant Wolverine, her healing factor will also provide her with an extended lifespan by slowing the effects of the aging process

Skills:
Expert Covert Ops Training: Raised in captivity, due to her extensive training as a top-secret operative, X-23 has been trained to become a living weapon. She is highly trained in the use of long range weapons and explosives, and is an expert in assassination techniques.

Expert Tracker: Due to her enhanced sense of smell, Laura is a dangerous tracker and has memorized many different scents.

Master Martial Artist: She is a master in hand to hand combatant, with intensive training in numerous armed and unarmed martial arts techniques during her time in the facility.

Master Acrobat: She is an Olympic class athlete, gymnast, acrobat and aerialist capable of numerous complex maneuvers and feats.

Multilingual: Laura can speak fluent English, French, and Japanese.

Gifted Intellect: Her honed mind can quickly process multiple information streams (e.g., threat assessment) and rapidly respond to changing tactical situations.

Equipment:
Adamantium claws, two in each hand and one in each foot.

Bio:
X-23 was created by the Weapon X offshoot known as the Facility, using a damaged sample of Wolverine's DNA. The damage was greatest on the Y chromosome, so Dr. Sarah Kinney eventually had the brilliant idea to create a female copy instead by duplicating the X chromosome. At last the 23rd attempt to clone Weapon X was successful, thus X-23. Sarah Kinney notes X-23 is technically a genetic twin rather than a true clone, more accurately making her Logan's sister. He later introduces her to her classmates at Xavier's this way, although they share more of a father-daughter relationship.

She grew up being trained to be an Assassin, so that the Facility could sell her talents to the highest bidder. X endured severe emotional and physical abuse in order to remove such weaknesses as emotion and self worth. Her creator, the one scientist who treated her like a child, tried to free her, but X-23 had been conditioned with a special "trigger scent" that would forcefully throw her into a berserker rage, forcing X to kill her. In her dying words, Dr. Kinney named her Laura.

After tracking down Logan she was invited to join the X-Men, and has been a mainstay in the X-Men ever since.

Body reading ability: Cassandra has the advanced ability to read body language enabling her to read what people are thinking and tell what they are going to do next before they do it. She has been shown able to read opponents far faster than herself, along with non humans and even alien lifeforms once she is given a chance to learn their body language. This enables her to identify disguised and transformed people as well.

Equipment:
Batsuit
Utility belt
Batarangs

Bio:
Cassandra Cain is the fourth Batgirl. Born with the assassins David Cain and Lady Shiva as her parents, she was trained to become the perfect warrior. Her father deprived her of speech so she would learn movement and physicality as her first language. Batman eventually adopted her into the Bat Family to replace Helena Bertinelli as Batgirl. Cassandra would eventually turn her Batgirl costume over to Stephanie Brown, and become a member of Batman Inc as Black Bat.

Teleportation
: Ability to teleport himself, the clothes he is wearing, and within limits a certain amount of additional mass which is in contact with him. He teleports by displacing himself into the Brimstone Dimension, traveling through it, and then returning to his own dimension at a certain distance from his point of departure. He consciously determines his point of return. The entire process occurs so quickly that Nightcrawler is unaware of being in the Brimstone Dimension at all. Nightcrawler guides himself through the Brimstone Dimension by a subconscious, natural direction-finding sense. Although Nightcrawler controls his teleportation ability with his conscious mind, his power to teleport is not psionic. Rather it is the result of an unknown biochemical/biophysical reaction which he triggers mentally. When he disappears in teleporting, Nightcrawler leaves behind smoke with a stench reminiscent of burning brimstone. This is a small portion of the atmosphere of the Brimstone Dimension that escapes while the aperture is open. His teleportation is invariably accompanied by the muffled sound of imploding air rushing to fill the vacuum left where Nightcrawler's body was, creating his signature *BAMF* sound.
Nightcrawler's powers automatically displace liquids and gases when he arrives in the course of a teleportation. His powers will not displace solids, however, putting him at risk for materializing inside solid matter, causing serious injury or death. As a consequence, Nightcrawler typically teleports only to places he has been to before or knows the layout of, or line-of-sight teleportation (even though his actual range is much further). Kurt's intuitive spatial awareness allows him to track his movements instinctively and with greater precision than the average person, helping him to pinpoint locations for a "blind" teleport
Subconscious Spatial Awareness: Nightcrawler has a very limited subconscious extrasensory ability that prevents him from teleporting himself so that his feet, for example, would materialize below the surface of the local ground. Because this ability is so limited, however, Nightcrawler will not teleport into any place that he cannot see or has not seen in the past. If Nightcrawler teleported himself into an unfamiliar area, he would run the risk of materializing partially or entirely within a solid object. If too much of his body materialized within a solid object, he would probably be killed.
Micro-Suction Discs: Nightcrawler can stick to objects with the surface of his hands and feet. This enables him to scale surfaces.
Flexible Bone Structure: Nightcrawler's bone structure allows him great flexibility. He can remain in a crouched position for a long time and perform contortionist type feats without causing any damage to his spine.
Camouflage: He has limited abilities to blend into shadows, both as a result of his indigo fur and his connection to the light-bending attributes of the dimension through which he teleports. This is also the explanation for why he constantly appears in shadow, even in direct light.[37]
Prehensile Tail: allowing him to grab onto objects with relative ease. His tail is strong enough to not only support his body weight but also lift an adult man completely off the ground. It is deft enough to fight with like a sword or blunt object.
Night Vision: Nightcrawler's always glowing eyes grant him a marked degree of heightened night vision as well.
Superhuman Agility: Nightcrawler's agility, balance, and bodily coordination are enhanced to levels beyond the human body's natural limits.
Superhuman Reflexes: Nightcrawler's natural reaction time is enhanced to a level beyond the human body's natural limits.
Master Acrobat: Nightcrawler is an Olympic-class acrobat thanks to his flexible spine that allows him to perform contortionist-like feats and to go long periods in a semi-crouching position without injury.
Master Combatant: He is a skilled hand-to-hand combatant and a master at fencing, which he can even perform with his tail, which is strong enough to support his entire body weight.
Multilingual: Nightcrawler is fluent in various languages due to his youth travelling around Europe as the star performer in a circus and knowing the language of wherever they were that week was very handy. He speaks his native German along with English, French, Spanish, and Italian.

Biography: From the moment of his birth, Kurt's life was in danger due to his appearance. When he was born, those of that village feared him for a demon. A thing sent from Hell. Only a week old, and a lynch mob suddenly appeared outside of the home his birth family resided in. His father tried to calm the mob, to talk them down. But he was soon struck down by those he had called his friends. His mother took Kurt and ran, into the forest surrounding their home. But she wasn't unseen, and the mob gave chase. She and her newborn were chased to the edge of a cliff.. and knowing the mob would tear her baby into pieces.. she threw him over the edge into the river below. She did not survive the mob's attack.
Kurt was found down the river's shore by Margali Szardos, a gypsy queen. Margali took baby Kurt to the small Bavarian circus where she worked as a fortune teller as a cover for her activities as a sorceress. Kurt was never legally adopted by anyone, but was raised by all the members of the circus, who had no prejudices against "freaks". Kurt grew up happily in the circus with his two closest friends, Margali's natural children Stefan and Jimaine. Stefan feared that his magical heritage may one day corrupt him, and so he had Kurt promise that if he ever killed without reason for Kurt to stop him. During his formative years Kurt exhibited tremendous natural agility, and quickly became the circus's star acrobat and trapeze artist with audiences assuming that he was simply a normal human dressed in a demon costume. Kurt worked closely with Jimaine, and the pair soon became involved in a romantic relationship.
Years later, the Texas millionaire Amos Jardine, who ran a large circus based in Florida, heard of the circus Kurt worked for and bought it. Jardine intended to move its best acts into his American circus. However, he demanded that Kurt be placed in the circus's freak show, where he was imprisoned against his will and drugged in order to remain complacent. Eventually, a young boy would free Nightcrawler, who would threaten Jardine in order to make him remain a better owner to his circus friends. Nightcrawler then ran away and made his way back to Germany where he discovered that Stefan had gone mad and had brutally slain several members of a lost race of half-human creatures. Kurt found Stefan and fought him, hoping to stop his rampage, but in the course of the struggle Kurt unintentionally broke Stefan's neck. The villagers of the nearby town of Winzeldorf discovered Kurt and assumed him to be a demon who was responsible for the killings. He was barely able to escape with his life. After hiding in the nearby wilderness for nearly a week, he made his way east.. he just needed to escape. He soon found himself near Amsterdam, and it was there he found a cargo ship that was heading to the ocean. To America. He hid aboard that cargo ship (one that was shipping construction equipment) as it set sail. For 14 days he kept himself hidden aboard ship, often moving from one piece of construction equipment to another to keep himself from being found. He would steal food from the galley, but never to much that it would be overly noticeable.
The ship final arrived in New Jersey Harbor, and Kurt ventured north. That was nearly a week ago. He has now found himself in the area of New York City, where he has taken up residence in one of the slum neighborhoods. As he did on the ship, he keeps himself alive by stealing what he needs in order to survive. Food, most often. Clothing. He doesn't know what he has to do now, he has no sense of direction for his life. All he knows is survival at this moment.

  • Chlorokinesis: Semi-mystical connection to the plant world through a force called the Green. She was able to manipulate and animate plants, using roots to form supports for a tunnel. She controlled an entire tree to come down on Clayface, ensnaring him in its branches. She once brought a whole skyscraper down with giant vines.
    • Pheromone Control: Ivy is known to be able to seduce men and women alike, often using pheromones to do so, but even without the pheromones, her beauty is still an asset that can she can use to seduce.[18]
  • Toxikinesis: A deliberate overdose of plant and animal based toxins into her blood stream that make her touch deadly. Ivy can create the most potently powerful floral toxins in Gotham City. Often these are secreted from her lips and administered via a kiss. They come in a number of varieties, from mind controlling drugs to instantly fatal necrotics. Her skin is toxic as well, although contact with it is usually not fatal.
Abilities

  • Botany: Dr. Isley was a renowned scientist with a career in Gotham City. She's always had a fascination with plants and they've been the major direction in her life even after her accident. Her knowledge of botany allows her to better manipulate her plants.
    • Toxicology: Pamela's specialization in Botany was Toxicology, at first she used her knowledge for perfumes, make-up and medicine. After her accident, she used her knowledge to grow thorny plants and poisonous traps for her enemies.
  • Seduction: Pamela Isley has always been a beautiful woman but she never used her looks or talents for personal gain until she became Poison Ivy. She taunts her trapped opponents with their human desires and can even infatuate thugs to her cause through her plants or her own means.
  • Hand-to-Hand Combat (Basic): Poison Ivy's athletic abilities have grown over the course of her career. She has learned a limited style of martial arts fighting, is proficient at climbing and leaping, and is a strong and fast swimmer.
Weaknesses

  • Vulnerability to Darkness: Poison Ivy requires substantial amounts of solar energy to live.
  • Mental Instability: Poison Ivy has been committed to Arkham Asylum on a regular basis. She speaks to her plants, finds extreme rage towards males and at a certain point sought out the destruction of the human race so only she and her plants would live. She has also been described by both herself and Batgirl as having "seasonal affective disorder", a mental condition that causes her emotions to change with the seasons, from manic (spring) to euphoric (summer) to apathetic (autumn) to depressed (winter).[19]
  • Skin Condition (formerly): Ever since she was a child, Isley had a skin condition that prevented her from going into direct sunlight without the proper lotion on. This condition may have gone away when she became Poison Ivy, as a requirement to avoid direct sunlight is counterintuitive to her need to be around plants, and she developed various immunities.

Skills
amateur Boxer
accountant & mba from MIT
a good shot with any number of guns
Home educated in mythology and basic ritual magics.

of note !

Charismatic.... Patrick is a born leader, highly charismatic and inspires loyalty to both his family, his friends and his territory.

Bred to succeed. As part of a long term breeding program run by certain Irish goddesses for several generations to be ... all that he can be and have offspring that are even more so.

Short Bio.

Originally, born in what was once Trenton New Jersey, Patrick was in a clan of folk who didn't exactly see eye to eye with the law. For several generations since the old days the O'Rourke's were known for being honorable... for criminals. Patrick spent all of his childhood in the "neighborhood" but always managed to keep his grades up.
Surprisingly adept or guided, he was sent to MIT for his education with a post grad at Columbia. A masters in accounting and an MBA could have brought him any business and heaps of success. But his father passed a month after his last degree was achieved. So, with that, Patrick went back to the old neighborhood.

Patrick is about his neighborhood, all of his loyalties are there. He lives to achieve and keep the respect of his territory and safety. He does all the things other crime lords do, but because of his charisma, very rarely does he need to resort to brutality. His was called a velvet covered iron glove style of leadership.

He is not aware of the change within the "world(s)". He remembers a positive relationship with James Gordon.
For him, he has always been in Gotham.

He will do "whatever" it takes to keep his territory safe.

He has access to anything a crime lord can get, he has generations of criminal status for his family with all of the money that goes with that. Further, he is incredibly good with money and over the years has invested as only an expert can, his personal wealth rival's any in Gotham except the Wayne family.

It is a family secret that Grady Murtaugh is secretly his son by the Morrigan, given to his best friend to raise, as that man, William Murtaugh was a friend since childhood and his number one enforcer.

He is or was a loving father to his daughter April, but they had a falling out with her independence and subsequent job track into media. He was at one time going to have a bullet put in Rupert Thorne's big fat head, but decided against it. He very much regrets how things are with his daughter.

Probability Manipulation: The ability to subliminally and psionically initiate random kinetic phenomena that affect probability in her favor by making improbable (but not impossible) things to occur within her line of sight, thus causing her to have "good luck" and her opponents to have "bad luck." This phenomenon can be anything from an enemy's equipment failure to hitting just the right switch with a stray shot to shut down an overloading nuclear reactor. The full extent of her powers is still unknown.

Luck bestowal. She can give her luck to allies, this is done with a kiss.

Super Strong
Fast healing
Resistant to harm

Skills

Tom boy: Shawna is a capable athlete having 3 brothers to keep up with as a child.
Cards: She is a very good card dealer, having done so for a few years now in Big Patrick's gambling operations.
Guns: She was a good shot, now is an extremely good shot, especially when she isn't paying a lot of attention to the target.
Martial arts: She is well trained in Kung fu and Aikido, focusing on defensive arts, having watched one
too many Steven Segall movies as a kid.

She is excellent with seamstress, sewing, crochet and anything to do with making, designing and repairing clothing.

Shawna O'Connor started this year as a loyal gangster girl in big Patrick's mob. She had good fighting skills since this kind of thing is largely a boy's world and she figured she'd need every advantage she could get. Her family is closely aligned with Big Patrick's she being a cousin 4 times removed on her mother's side. She was targeted by Ringmaster in his kidnap scheme. Exposed to the shard, her minimal luck powers came to her aid, granting her a beneficial change. [/fieldbox]

BIO
Death is the leader and most powerful of the Four Horsemen. He is the eldest of the surviving Nephilim ever since he and the other Horsemen carried out the extermination of the rest of their kind on the orders of the Charred Council. He is feared throughout the Darksiders universe, more so than any of the other Horsemen.

Like his fellow Horsemen, Death is of a race known as Nephilim – among the most powerful beings in the Universe. When Mankind was given the prize of Eden, Absalom – leader of the Nephilim – led his armies against Heaven and Hell in an attempt to steal it back. For this crime, the Charred Council condemned the Nephilim to destruction. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse were granted a reprieve from this fate on the condition they aid the Council's victory over their kin. The Horsemen accepted, but it was Death who bore the greatest burden of guilt for the near extinction of his race. Donning his iconic mask to represent his role as executioner on the day he slaughtered his brethren, he has not removed it since.

Within the Epic-verse, he works for Marvel Death as her personal enforcer, in exchange for her help in seeking out his siblings, lost among the realms and worlds.

Powers and Equipment

Death is an immensely powerful and acrobatic warrior. He uses his tremendous agility to climb, wall run and leap large distances. He primarily wields the shapeshifting scythe Harvester or other shapeshifting scythes when needed. He is capable of wielding a wide variety of secondary weapons, from bucklers, armblades, gauntlets, and claws to massive maces, axes, and spears. The Horseman also wore many different pieces of armor though he eventually obtained the full suite of Abyssal Armor.

Death has demonstrated the power to summon and converse with the spirits of the dead. He also makes use of his Phantom Horse, Despair, as a steed and his crow companion, Dust, to search for the correct path. Death also makes great use of his superior intellect to solve puzzles that unlocks his path to redeem his brother's name. The Nephilim is also an exceptional swimmer, being able to breath underwater and swimming extremely fast. Death also possesses a great psychic strength and force of will. He was able to overpower the Crowfather, when the latter was disguised as War, as well as free himself of Samael's powerful telekinetic grasp. Death was also able to carry a large lantern that was almost taller than he was, with no difficulty. He is able to turn large statues, create small tremors upon striking the ground with his fists, and more.
His arsenal of weapons and powers includes:

Redemption: One of Strife's handguns that Death wields.

Death Grip: A power that allowed Death to use a ghostly hand to pull items towards him or pull himself to certain points.

Voidwalker: A power that allowed Death to create portals in certain surfaces, it could also be used to travel through time once it had been upgraded with the Phasewalker.

Wrath Powers: Death could wield powers from both the Necromancy and Harbinger skill subset.

Soul Splitter: A power that allowed Death to split his spirit into two forms while turning his physical body to stone.

Reaper Form: Reaper Form is Death's more powerful form, similar to War's Chaos Form. Once transformed, Death takes on a larger skeletal form. His face is completely hidden in the shadows of a cowl, a large robe envelopes the rest of his body, and skeletal wings sprout from his back. He hovers slightly above the ground when fighting on the ground, and is able to use this ability to fly. While transformed, he wields a massive scythe with many skulls engraved into the flat of the blade.

Accelerated Healing and Regeneration: Death appears to possess both an extraordinary amount of durability and phenomenal regenerative capabilities. He has shown to be capable of being impaled through the chest by Chaoseater and thinking virtually nothing of it, which has in fact happened on two separate occasions (one of which was by his own hand). On one occasion, he was also run through the chest by the Nephilim weapon Affliction, a sword that inflicts wounds that become instantly necrotic. The angelic General Abaddon, for instance, was grazed across the eye with it, and not only could angelic medics not save the eye, but they were barely able to keep Affliction's necrosis from spreading further. Had the blow been dealt to any lesser angel, they almost certainly would have died, and the blow greatly weakened Abaddon himself for a considerable time. Death however, managed to not only survive being impaled through the chest by Affliction, but was in good enough shape mere minutes afterwards to engage with War in an armed standoff against Abaddon and a squad of angelic soldiers.
