    Getsu City/Bishoujo City, Getsu

Getsu City, also known as Bishoujo city, is a large city on Getsu Island. It is one of the largest islands in the world. Being that it is in the North Pacific Ocean, the dominant culture on this island is Japanese, with a slight American influence in the fashion sense and food culture, and a higher population of foreigners than Japan. On first glance it looks like a calmer version of Tokyo and New York City, but it's much more spacious. It is also the home of the Elite Magical Girl Academy, which is hidden away on the outskirts of Getsu City.

The farther you go out from Getsu City, the more green you'll begin to see. There are plenty of farms, villages, and beautiful beaches once you leave Getsu City. Unfortunately, the countryside can be even more dangerous than the city, with Youma hiding in the surrounding forests and often attacking small villages freely. It is where ancient, rare Youma are said to hide.

    On Campus Locations
Note: Try not to have too many character's congregrating in the same area! :) These spots are mostly for character socialization, but may become key points in the rp at some point.

  • Posting Rules
    1. When posting, use your character's name as a header and their location.
    2. During battles, do not autohit NPCs. This includes Youma and Magical Girl.
    3. No metagaming or Godmodding, at all. If you have permission to do so from the Player, then this is fine.
    4. No collaborative posts, unless two characters are on a date , or something similar and there is no risk of another being around.
    5. If you are inactive without word for two weeks, then you will be dropped and your character will be taken control of by me. Posting IC means you agree to this rule.
    6. No sex scenes within the IC thread. And definitely no sex scenes with people not in your age range.
    7. Intermediate writing standards are expected in this rp, and I will accept no less than a paragraph(5-7 sentences) for IC posts.

    Combat Rules
    1. No Auto-hitting or taking control of a Youma. This is mainly for plot purposes. If you were to take control of one of the enemies this may be interrupt plots or ideas we have in mind. Also to keep the fights balanced and to make sure everyone gets their fair share of butt-kicking from the Youma. You are welcome to direct a hit at a Youma, but do not say the attack has landed, until the person controlling the Youma acknowledges it as fact. Youma Players reserve the right to say a Youma's attack has landed on a character, to kidnap players, or anything else that enemy characters may do. This is, again, for plot purposes. Rest assured we won't ever inflict fatal wounds on your character without your consent, and if we plan to
kidnap or do anything similar to your character we may inform you first depending.

    2. Be reasonable. If your character has already used a couple of attacks that require a decent amount of power or more advanced utility skills it will show. Their energy is not infinite. I'm going to give people freedom to pick their skills and attempt to dodge/evade/attack, but ultimately whether something affects the Youma is up to
the Youma player to keep things fun, fresh, and fair.

    3. The first time you use one of your character's spells, please provide a description of what it does in your post, or include it in a spoiler tag. This will make things easier on everyone, especially the Youma players.

Lady Shiko - Mountain Path

miko-anime-cereal-guy-1920x1080-wallpaper195577.jpg

It had only been five days. Five days and Shiko's world had been obliterated by the death of her younger sister. Since then, she knew what she'd become, but had little to no power to stop it. Or maybe she didn't want to. Either way, a priestess wasn't to have evil in her heart, but when she saw Shogo's body lying on the banks of the river outside of the village, it wasn't hard for it to manifest. Sorrow and despair easily mutated into hate and rage. It didn't take but a day for her heart to grow cold towards the villagers. Those women were supposed to be watching her sister after all. It was their fault.

Her body felt different now. After she killed the first young woman that had made her way to the temple, to apologize, laughable, she felt her power changing. As she watched the life drain from wide, pleading eyes, she felt...whole. It wasn't until after the third kill that she finally took their soul and it made her exponentially stronger. She didn't need to transform to use her mastery, and she healed at a faster rate. Becoming a Youma wasn't too bad, in her personal opinion. But then again, she knew Youma fed on their power that they received from souls. The stronger they got, the more their bodies would morph into that of a monster. Shiko was on the brink. She was fighting her change, but she had no intention of relenting her revenge.

As she walked the mountain path down towards the village, she saw a young girl walking towards her, headphones in her ears and an odd look about her. She wasn't from the village, that much was clear. The way she dressed, even the way she walked wasn't that of village living, or living on a mountain, for that matter. Still, maybe she was just a traveler. That is what she thought, until she saw the bright glow of the girl's soul. Much stronger than the average human and more discernible than a human. It was clear she was a Magical Girl, of course, sent to dispatch of her. And as they crossed paths, Shiko heard the girl speak words that could only be a phrase to bring upon her transformation.

Shiko didn't panic. She leapt away, before removing the prayer beads from around her neck and holding them tightly in her hands. They started to glow bright red before she wrapped them around her right hand and brought it up in front of her chest in a half prayer position. As she watched the girl, a bright light emitted from her and Shiko had to bring her arms up to shield her eyes. She blinked furiously to try and bring her vision back. She'd forgotten that Youma eyes were sensitive to a Magical Girl's transformation.

Kokuyo Kano - Mountain Path
Kano watched as Cordiculya tried to retain her composure. It wasn't uncommon for a Magical Girl that had never been in the field to react the way she had. Any normal person would, but they weren't normal. This was their life. The girl at Elite were trained for specific things and that was fighting Youma. Once at Elite, you didn't just leave and go on to live a normal life. Especially with families like Kokuyo and Garland hanging over your head. As the brunette glanced back down at the decrepit corpse, she didn't feel much, not even a shred of sorrow, if she was to be honest. She was young when she'd come in contact with her first husk. Even then, she wasn't allowed to react. To show any form of emotion on the battlefield was weakness, and that could result in death.

Still, Kano did feel the tiniest sense of sympathy for this woman's family, if she had any. It was they who would suffer from her loss of life. She finally turned her attention to Angela, who was putting earbuds in her ears and then walked off down the trail while the other three stayed back. Cordiculya still a bit shaken and Kireina seemed the same as the girl was hovering just above the ground. Her eyes were sad and on the brink of glistening before she sniffled and cleared her throat.

"I will go to higher ground." The girl muttered softly. "I'll have a better chance to surprise her that way if she's focused on Angela." Kano just nodded as she watched the girl fly off along the mountain side, not making any noise as she did so. She glanced back at Cordiculya and unsheathed her saber. There was a faint, deep blue glow that emitted from her heartstone and Kano felt a small rush of power flow through her body. There was a familiar warmth in her eyes, indicating that they were glowing faintly and she rolled her shoulders.

"I half expected you to offer yourself up as bait, Coral." She turned back down the bath and began walking now that Angela was out of sight. "I guess you have to stay alive to be a leader, hm?" Kano couldn't help but smirk as she glanced over her shoulder at her teammate. She wasn't trying to to rude, but she could tell Cordiculya was frightened, and it wasn't easy being a leader. Still, it would've made more sense if Kano had been bait, since she couldn't transform. Youma were essentially demonic(for lack of better word) Magical Girls, they could sense another of their kin. But as the Magical Girl became more Youma than human, they only saw souls, and Magical Girl souls were bright, easily detected. Since Kano hadn't fully transformed, she assumed her soul wasn't at its peak yet.

After a few moments, she heard Angela shout something about pride and a bright light ignited the sky in the distance. That was their cue. Angela must've come in contact with the Youma. Kano inhaled before firing all the muscles in her legs and leaping forward. Each step she took launched her forward by about twelve feet. In the distance above her on her left, she saw Kireina descend from the higher ground as she rounded the bend in the path and saw the priestess a few feet from Angela. She watched the other girl get closer to the Youma and Kano cursed to herself. Kireina didn't have a weapon, if she got too close and couldn't deflect the Youma's attacks, she was going to get overwhelmed.

"Kireina, don't!" Kano tried to get there before her, she exerted more energy to move farther, faster, but Kireina was already several hundred feet ahead of her. She was being too hasty, underestimating this priestess even. Everything happened in the blink of an eye. Angela was forgotten as the priestess whipped her beads outward, Kireina was already moving too fast to slow down in time and the beads fastened around her neck. Lady Shiko pulled the beads back and reeled Kireina in before holding her up in front of her. It was clear this priestess wasn't weak. "Aki!"

Kano slid to a stop as she heard the bones snap and the strangled scream rip from Kireina's throat. Then silence. It all happened so fast. When the lifeless body dropped, it hit the ground with a heavy thud and Kireina laid there, back in her casual clothes. Just a girl now. Kano swallowed hard before she ducked, the beads flying at her and she rolled to the side. This Youma wasn't pulling her punches, she must've known why Magical Girls would be there, so she was going to fight for her life. But there was one thing Kano noticed as she brought her saber up to deflect another blow from the prayer beads. Shiko still looked human, though pale and insane, still human. Which meant she hadn't reached her final transformation as a Youma.

"We need to kill her quickly!" Kano grunted as she jumped back, out of the range of the prayer beads. "She hasn't reached her completed transformation yet, it'll be easier to kill her in this state." Suddenly, Kano felt the beads wrap around her waist and she was sent flying into the mountain side before falling back on the trail. Though she had some slightly enhanced abilities, that didn't make the pain any less painful. Rock was still hard as broken pieces fell on her head from where she'd impacted. This wasn't going to be an easy fight.

Past Post Summary:

The Youma erupted into a sudden burst of red light as the attacks threatened to hit it. All of their power was either deflected, or absorbed into the light. Brianna began to shift and twist in ways that seemed physically impossible. The skin that was on her body began to disintegrate and revealed a hideous, lanky, black wooden puppet that stood at over seven feet tall. It's spiky teeth were in rows upon rows in it's mouth. The Youma had four arms, and used it's first pair to hold two over sized puppeteer's control bars, while the other set were positioned in a traditional string puppet style.

Whatever the girl's did after it had transformed was enough to set the Youma off. It screeched horribly and whipped it's second set of arms forward, sending a wave of invisible thread at Papyra, and another set at La Voisin.

Papyra was suspended in the middle of the room, seemingly held up by thin air. Whatever was holding her up cut into her skin like razor blades, causing the invisible wire to be illuminated by her blood. The more she moved, the more the wire seemed to cut into her.

The circle of ice had a nice large crevice in one area for the girls to still get in attacks and the Youma would have to break down the wall to get back at them. "This is our chance!"

The Blood Knight took the Ice Princess' opening, running to chase her own attack even as she was still weakened from the expenditure of blood and magic. For however long those melting ice walls held, that monster was trapped right in there with her. "Come on," she shouted as she began a series of attacks and feints with her rapier. "Let's dance!"

Attacks:

Lilac Slice- A slashing attack imbued with poison, which will mildly corrode biological substances.
Laced Mist- A lilac mist forms, which will cause great disorientation and nausea to anyone who inhales it.
Charee Moreau as La Voisin - Pink Group - Abandoned Hospital
Upon the list of things La Voisin doesn't like are surprises, grotesque styles, and being made to feel useless; now that the Youma was fulfilling all three of those items the Youma had soared to the top of that list. Any mild feelings of sympathy La Voisin may of had for the Youma due to its innocent appearance dissolved within seconds, being replaced by confusion of what the hell the Youma was doing. They had attacked it, it was meant to be hurt, but then peek-a-boo, pupaphobia is coming to get you. 'You' definitely including La Voisin, as the Youma gestured some sort of attack towards her. An invisible attack- what wonderful luck.

Abhorrence is not usually a word associated with sweet types like La Voisin, but she was surely filled with such an extreme emotion now the wretched beast had pressed all of her buttons.

Without hesitation Lilac Slice burst forth from La Voisin's hand in the direction of the Youma's attack, covering the concealed threads with a shining purple liquid. Tossing her staff far aside La Voisin prepared the dodge the now-visible string attack; it appeared the strings were aiming for all of La Voisin's limbs, so there was no dodging it from the front. Instead La Voisin took a couple of side chassés, dodging the attack so narrowly she could hear the strings whip past her ear. There was no fear for how close peril had been though, merely rage to destroy the savage that had dared attempt to defile her.
On one side La Voisin could see Lady Winter and Crimson Moon leading a counter attack on the Youma; on the other was Papyra, crucified by wire. A voice in the back of La Voisin's head was telling her that saving her team-mate should be the priority, that La Voisin should aid Papyra while the Youma was distracted so they could both help with the assault. Screams of vehemence drowned that little voice out, directing La Voisin to annihilate the Youma instead. The decision was made with too much ease, La Voisin sprinting towards the Youma imprisoned in ice.

Soon besides the ice's crevice La Voisin prepared her Laced Mist attack, hoping to aim most of the fog into the fissure so that the Youma could get a concentrated dosage of screw-you. Without bothering to warn her team of the oncoming toxic incursion, La Voisin blasted her Laced Mist out of her mouth and into the icy structure. Birds of blood shot past La Voisin as she did so, perhaps even grazing her skin. If they did then La Voisin didn't notice, for she was oblivious to the world in her reckless state.

Cynthia Einfeld - Mission One - Mint Team - Spooky Forest - Vs. Nasty Plant Youma

When Carmen moved to cover her charge, Red allowed the distinct sense of satisfaction to well up inside her. They were likely outclassed, and a very underwhelming challenge to the plant fiend, but Red never knew when to quit. The the very thought of a retreat of any kind - tactical, strategic - left a sour taste in her mouth, and so without the proper mindset to turn on her heel, she could only face forward. It was the only way she knew how to approach things in her life anyway. While she knew that victory would likely be out of her firm grasp - at least she wasn't completely backed against the wall on her own. Such thoughts became more and more clear within her head as the motions kept turning, as the death mark of her bird spiraled into existence at the trunk of the fiend's form. It filled her with a reckless sense of confidence, the perfect kind to best tame her magic fires.

However, before she could drive both her swords into the mark, or have one of her hounds batter-ram into it, her entire world shook uncontrollably. With only a second of warning, she found herself airborne, feet knocked right out under her, bones rattling - weakened. If anything broke, she definitely didn't feel it just yet. More importantly, a sense of dread began to uncurl in her stomach as her bones fell slack - completely shocked, or completely overwhelmed - and the fingers curled comfortably around her weapons began to weaken their grip. There was little time to think, let alone panic. She was airborne, helpless and then there was the giant reeking maw of the plant that threatened to swallow her whole.

As the first handle completely fell from her grasp, Red grit her teeth and hoped for the best. The fire hounds took away a generous portion of her reserves, but they hadn't dissipated, not yet. They had been excellent wards, but Red intended to put them to good use any second now.

Staring into the dark abyss that was the plant's maw, wordlessly, the beasts moved to obey the silent order. Telegraphing her attacks and gestures of the hands would take precious seconds that she didn't have, intention and desire always seemed to work out much faster to her great relief. Abandoning Red, the hounds flew forward, between the approaching maws and Red herself. The heat was nearly pressed right up against her and Red knew that there'd probably be sun-burn looking wounds for days if she made it out alive. One of the beasts roared back at the plant, and raced forward into the maw.

Meanwhile, while her hands seemed to gain their senses back, Red had lost her grip on one end, and she was definitely still disoriented, too disoriented to fire any spell to reach that mere foot - where the mark pulsed brightly. Biting her lip, she abandoned her grip on the remaining end, but only to shuffle her hand so that they loosely grasped the chain that bound the two ends instead. Spinning to gain some momentum - and to begin her descent - when she faced the bright flashes of her hunting dogs one more, she released and the swords spiraled down.

Her aim was likely shit - but, she remembered that there was one other factor to help turn the tides. Assuming that they made it onto their feet as well. "Knock it in! The mark-" She choked - that's what she got for bringing her double edge of a defense so close to herself, she wasn't made to withstand her own fires sadly.

Cordiculya was almost glad she had evacuated her stomach earlier, because if the sight of an already dead body hadn’t caused her to throw up, the sight of Kireina’s swift demise almost certainly would have.

Aki had always been a very quiet girl, and something of a wallflower at any event or gathering. Despite that, the girl had glowed with a certain level of kindness, even while untransformed. And when she was transformed, it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say she was impressively radiant: many magical girls made the air around them crackle with energy when they shifted into their true state, but Aki seemed to simply shine with benevolence.

It had taken all of a second for the girl’s neck to snapped, and for that light to be snuffed out.

Cordiculya, who had been huffing and panting as she tried to keep up with Kano’s sprinting charge, had frozen on the spot. She felt her knees shake, and for her heart to start fill with hysterical adrenaline, her ears filling with the sound of her own rushing blood and Aki’s last wheeze of breath.

This couldn’t be happening. This had to be a nightmare. Aki had been floating right alongside Cordiculya not two minutes ago. She had been trying to steady herself after the turbulent trip to the village, but not complaining because she was too sweet of a girl for that. She couldn’t be…couldn’t have-

"We need to kill her quickly! She hasn't reached her completed transformation yet, it'll be easier to kill her in this state."

Cordiculya shook herself. She couldn’t afford to lose it, not when their lives still hung in the balance.

“R-right, we need to-”

At that exact second Kano was been tossed bodily into the mountain side, a small explosion of dust and flakes of rock erupting from the impact. Cordiculya yipped liked a kicked dog, and almost fell over as she rapidly back stepped from Kano’s prone figure.

“Stick to the plan! Everyone stick to the plan!” Cordiculya yelled as she summoned a knight with a longbow, the girl partially ducking behind the stone being.

Cordiculya tried her best to observe the situation, as her knight pulled an arrow out of its quiver. She and Kano had been a ways away from the Youma when it had struck, but those beads had considerable reach. Even after she had taken at least half a dozen steps backwards from where Kano had been slammed into the mountain, she couldn’t guaranteed that she was out of the beads range. Likewise, from this distance all she could hope to do was either damage or distract the Youma long enough to give Kano time to recover or for the Angela to make an attack.

Scowling, Cordiculya threw her hand forward as her knight powerfully pulled back on its bowstring, letting the arrow fly as the girl shouted the command to fire. The arrow was barely loose before the knight was already preparing a second: right now, accuracy wasn’t as important as laying down as much suppressing fire as possible. It only a mere moment for Cordiculya’s knight to fire another arrow, bow string shaking as the missile was sent flying.

Her heart in her throat, Cordiculya watched as the arrows darted through the air, the projectiles flying towards their target.

--- “Archer!” > (Minor Mastery) A knight wielding a long bow forms, and can fire up to three arrows before disappearing. The archer cannot change its angle of aim, so for faster opponents Samantha will usually have it fire once before dispelling it, speeding up it’s already very small delay, and summoning another archer with an adjusted angle of aiming.

Aozora Miyuki/Papyra
Old Abandoned Hospital

Being strung up by invisible wires and bleeding out in front of her teammates wasn't exactly how Papyra imagined her first mission going, and by the looks of it, she may not make it out to see the end. Her vision was blurring, and the wires that suspended her in the air seemed to be tightening over time. Don't panic... Papyra told herself, as she struggled to breathe. She hadn't even shown the girl's what she was capable of, hadn't even made a dent on the Youma, before being snatched up by it. If only she had had a cooler power, then she wouldn't be in this horrible situation.

Papyra saw that Lady Winter had built some sort of ice fortress around the Youma, entrapping it and leaving it somewhat vulnerable. With an ice wall around the Youma, her team had the upper hand. It was with that knowledge that Papyra shut her eyes to take her mind off of the feeling of being torn apart. Her team had other things to worry about, they were doing the responsible thing. At least, that's what Papyra imagined as she drifted off.

Meanwhile on the battlefield, the Youma raised it's weapon in the air and swatted at Lady Winter as she ice skated circles around it. Seeing as how Lady Winter was much faster than the Youma, it turned and punched a hole into the melting ice wall, where Lady Winter would no doubt eventually have to skate over. It was so fixated on getting the figure skating magical girl, it failed to realize that both Crimson Moon and La Voisin had prepared more attacks. That was the downside of tapping into that Youma transformation.

The Youma turned, however, just as Crimson Moon and her familiar attacks were coming at her. It swung up, aimed at Crimson Moon, and stumbled back as the birds crashed into it. All but one hit their mark, exploding and sending the Youma stumbling backwards into the ice wall. It regained it's footing, screeching loudly. The Youma wobbled slightly, disorientation from the lilac mist setting in. This seemed to send the Youma into a rage, as it screeched even louder than before, and lunged forward through the ice wall. Where was it headed?

The Youma made a rush for the basement stairs. It was on it's last leg, and even a Youma knew when their life was in danger. She had to flee, or risk being eliminated by the magical girls.

Crimson Moon - Abandoned Hospital

While her assault was a success, Mina hadn't taken any threat from her own allies into account, and the mist she found herself in quickly got to her, as well. Coughing, choking and sputtering, she stumbled away from the Youma and out of the mist-filled and quickly melting icy prison. "Goddamn...*cough* th'fuck was that," she asked the others, still reeling and fighting hard not to vomit. There wasn't any accusation in her voice, just surprise and confusion.

As the Youma rushed not for any of the girls but for the exit, she regained enough of her composure to focus and drive whatever was affecting her right out of her system, although she didn't rush after it so much as bark orders. "Winter, Voisin, after it! Make sure she doesn't escape after we've come this far!" If anyone shot any questioning glances her way, she dismissed them with surprisingly humility, given her bravado so far. "Gotta recover after all that, and got some business here anyway," was all she gave for explanation on not rushing forward to press their advantage herself.

Whether or not the other girls listened to her, she turned her attention to Papyra and her predicament. She took a few moments to study the blood-soaked strands stringing the other girl up, then quickly set to work, slicing through them with careful strikes from her raiper and the occasional acrobatic leap, eventually cutting the other girl free. She even just managed to catch her as she fell, though she had to drop her sword to do it. Soon after it left Crimson Moon's hands, the sword began to disintegrate back into the blood which formed it.

"Great," Crimson Moon muttered as she looked Papyra over. It always got awkward when she had to help someone who was already unconscious. She sighed, and forced her blood to cut its way through her own lip. Then, she carefully leaned over Papyra, and press her lips to those of the unconscious girl, forcing her blood into Papyra's mouth. Mina couldn't deny something of a thrill at this sort of method...when the recipient could actually be flustered and refuse. As it was, it wasn't nearly as fun, but it was still one of the better ways to make sure her life-giving blood could work its magic.

Mina can heal others using her magically-infused blood, preferably through ingestion. Here, it's delivered by a kiss, because the opportunity presented itself. Still, it beats the alternatives.

Carmen

Mint Team- Mission 1

Carmen was starting to run out of energy. Her magical stamina had never been the best in the first place, and fighting had taken a lot of it already. She doubted she had the energy to break out Boulder Crush, so she did the next best thing. "I'm going to be tapped out after this, so we'll have to retreat if this doesn't work. Stone Transmutation!"

Carmen's body transformed into living rock with a surge of power. The stony girl smiled, feeling all but invincible... for a short time, anyway. With her already superhuman strength further boosted, she charged in, swinging her hammer with everything she had, and connected right on the seal with a massive blow.

Lady Shiko - Mountain Path
These Magical Girls couldn't be from Elite. One was already dead and the other three, well, they didn't seem like much of a threat. As she tossed the brunette aside, she was prepared to attack the other that had transformed near her on the path, but she heard something whistling through the air. An arrow struck her in the shoulder and she looked down at it calmly before pulling it out, dropping it on the ground. There was a large European knight standing in front of a girl with black hair and a purple and white dress. The knight was already preparing more arrows and Shiko wrapped her prayer beads around her forearm, prepared to protect herself. She watched as the knight released another arrow, followed by several more before a large volley was about to fall on her like rain. Shiko raised her arm above her head as the arrows began to descend.

"Karma." A faint red barrier appeared over her and as the arrows hit, they disappeared, absorbed into the barrier. The priestess moved her arm down so the barrier was facing the knight, and the arrows flew back towards it. "You little girls don't have the power to defeat me, even if I'm not a full Youma, yet." Shiko knew it was a matter of time before she would lose her mind and become a transformed Youma. But if she was going to die, she wanted to die as she was. Though at this rate, she wasn't sure if these Magical Girls were going to be enough. If they weren't then they would die, and she would wait for the next wave to show up.

Kokuyo Kano - Mountain Path
Kano pushed herself up from the ground, just in time to see Cordiculya's knight firing off a volley of arrows towards the priestess. She watched a red energy form in front of her prayer beads and create a barrier that protected her from the arrows, but not only protected, it absorbed them. The brunette scowled as she grabbed her saber that was lying next to her. As soon as she held its handle, she felt the increase of strength and the aches in her body began to fade. Kano glared at Shiko as her arm lowered and the barrier projected the arrows it absorbed back towards them.

With her saber back in hand, Kano was fast enough to cut the arrows from the air before they reached her. Kano gripped her saber tightly before launching forward. With the prayer beads wrapped around her arm, the Youma wouldn't have time to attack with them before she reached her. Kano's deduction had been correct. She drew her weapon back as she neared the priestess and swung it down diagonally towards the Youma. Her blade connected with something solid and Kano gasped softly as the Youma was blocking her sword with her arm, the prayer beads wrapped tightly enough to be preventing the saber from connecting with flesh.

"Mandala." Kano tensed as she saw a small mandala form in the priestess's right eye. A smirk grew on her lips as she brought her face closer to the brunette's. "You're not even a Magical Girl yet. My Mandala eye lets me see your skills and strengths. You hardly have any." Green eyes widened as a burst of energy from the Youma sent Kano flying back towards Cordiculya. She managed to right herself in the air so she landed easily on her feet, almost in the exact same spot she had fallen after hitting the mountain side. Kano glared at the priestess's sinister eyes and the smirk remained, which made the Kokuyo even more agitated.

"She can see your skills, Princess." Kano muttered as she sighed and rolled her neck, trying to calm her irritation. Having a clouded mind during battle wasn't wise, and she didn't want to get injured anymore than she was probably going since she couldn't transform. And once she wasn't holding her saber anymore, the pain from her injuries would return. Her small amount of power was only active while she was using her weapon. "But only up close, I think. So keep your distance, we have to try and attack her all at once. She might have multiple skills, but they seem to be all centered around the prayer beads." Kano hadn't taken her eyes off of the Youma while she was speaking to Cordiculya.

"It would be helpful to have another sword." The brunette couldn't really hide the fact that she was a little winded from the blast she'd received as she glanced at Cordiculya. "Any chance I could borrow one from another of your knights?"

Lady Winter had to move as quick as lighting, as she avoided being hit by the giant beast. She still couldn't believe such a little girl turned into that thing. Something that would probably hunt her dreams for weeks. Shaking it off, she jumped in the air when the large Youma swatted at her. Unfortunately, she didn't noticed the creature breaking a large part of the ice in front of her. "Nooo!" She screamed, as the Ice Skating Princess came tumbling down and hitting the floor... face first. She was out of if for a few seconds, seeing snowflakes circle around her own head. "Guuuuu..." Not making any sense whatsoever.

Brought back to her senses when she heard Crimson yell her way. "Wha... what?" Turning to see that the ice fortress/cage had melted and the Youma had been running for the stairs. "Oh, she is NOT getting away!" Standing up on wobbly legs; gaining her balance shortly after. She knew her next spell would be the one to knock her out cold; but it would hopefully do the same and more to the creature that was trying to escape it's inevitable defeat. "Everyone... stand back." She said in a vengeful tone. This was her chance to prove to all of them that she wasn't only some Pompous Princess. She actually could be a good teammate... when she wanted to be that is.

"Time to go night night... Brat..." Her eyes turned crystal white as the entire area around her began to cause an enormous amount of chill in the air. Making the basement feel as if it was in the Arctic. "Ahhhh!!!!!!" She screeched, almost as loud as the one that came from those demon puppets previously. Ice started appearing all over the stairs and the area where the Youma was; surrounding the creature and entrapping it.

A rare spell to be used by Ava-Rose. This spell uses nearly all of her energy, once causing her to turn back to her normal self and pass out. This is her strongest spell as of now. Ava-Rose can conjure up a sea of snow and ice that shoots up from the ground and erupts in shards that cause major damage and also freezes a large part of the area around her for 60 seconds.
[/spoili]
Lady Winter dropped to her knees, after using most of her energy for the day; if not all of it. Her magical transformation started to turn Lady Winter back into Ava-Rose. That signature extremely long pink hair coming back. The next thing that happened, she wouldn't remember. The other girls would remember however seeing Ava-Rose drop onto the floor and passing out.

In her mind, she hoped that her strongest spell was enough to get the Youma to go bye-bye. If it didn't, she at least hoped it did enough damage that the other girls could just one-two punch and end it. Either way, she was out for the count.

In Battle
"You wanna bet?!"

"You girls don't have enough power to defeat me, and I'm not even a full Youma yet!" One line. That's all it took. One phrase and Angela's temper took a turn for the worse.

"You wanna bet?" she said angrily. She extended her spear and aimed at the ground in front of the Youma, preparing to conjure her Warjacks. She didn't, though. Instead, she adjusted her aim to directly beneath the priestess-turned-demon. "Not a full demon yet means you can't fly!" she declared. "Target locked!" She raised her spear and pointed it skyward. "Activating Tesla Ring!" A large ring of electricity, roughly five meters (fifteen feet) in diameter, appeared with the priestess at its center, charging the air above just above the ground. Since she really wasn't full Youma yet, that meant she still played by the biological rules of humanity, which meant all that electricity would play havoc on what was left of her nervous system.

Theoretically.

Doing this, though, took a rather large chunk of Angela's energy reserves with itt, and she could already feel the aftereffects of using a Medium Mastery take its toll. She wanted this fight over quickly, though. Expending her energy quickly was worth it if she or one of the others could get the kill.

Whatever it took to avenge poor Aki.

Forest Youma Battle

Rather than Red, the Youma's jaws closed down on a blazing hound. The high pitched screech of pain and rage it made were likely little comfort to the magical girl, but it was clear the plant-like monster did not like its change of snack, as it cut off its attack and pulled away from her, smoke still pouring from its mouth.

Carmen's approach was largely unhindered by the monster's attacks. It certainly did attempt to stop her, but like a stone juggernaut, she was able to break through, to swing home with her powerful blow. The creature most clearly felt it, as it bent aside from the sheer force of the hammer's strike. The seal beneath the hammer glowed brightly, before flaring up in a gout of flame that blasted outward, the blaze momentarily dazzling Carmen from proximity. The youma roared in pain as it began to topple over, smouldering where the explosion had gone off.

Though staggered, the monster was hardly finished, and it wasn't time to celebrate just yet. It raised itself back up once more, and Carmen could feel quite the commotion underground as whatever roots this youma had began to move around. The beast...coughed a few times, before it faced down against the two magical girls once again, and vomited a stream of acidic sap their way, sweeping its head around in an attempt to cut them both down.

Meanwhile, some of the smaller tendrils had found Octavia's unconscious body, and after some brief and careful observation, begun to close in on the defenseless girl. One carefully lifted her up, and the other swept in, aiming right for her throat - only to be knocked aside by a powerful blast of wind, as Lull stepped in to her fallen ally's defense. A second wind blade cut Octavia loose, eliciting a brief cry of pain from the creature, or it's partially-independent parts.

Attention now on the more active magical girl, a number of tentacles rushed at her, striking in concert. A few, Lull could have fended off, but in such numbers, even taking flight could only prolong the inevitable before tentacles began to strike their mark. The first strike knocked her off balance, and the second impaled her, bringing her to a complete halt as blood poured from her mouth. Other tentacles, tipped in fanged maws, quickly descended upon the unfortunate girl, tearing apart and devouring her.

Samantha – Purple Team – Mountain pass

Cordiculya was briefly elated to see the arrows had flew true towards their target, and for one to actually hit. Whatever good feeling she had, however, was pretty quickly dashed when the arrows started flying back.

Ducking behind her knight with a yell, Cordiculya covered her head with panic, the knight freezing up as Cordiculya’s mind froze up with fear. She waited to hear the sound of arrows impacting against her knight, the harrowing sound that would mark her demise.

And waited.

…And waited.

“Wha…?” Cordiculya righted herself, peeking out from behind her knight with a confused frown.

By the looks of things, Kano had deflected the projectiles, and had been pushed back to where she had been flung to before. Cordiculya also noted that Angela’s transformation was complete, thankfully without the girl being attacked. While glad everyone was still alive, Cordiculya grimaced as she realized that her ranged attacks could very easily be turned against them. She was going to have to be careful from here on out.

"She can see your skills, Princess."

“That’s all we needed…” Cordiculya muttered, dismissing her archer for the time being as she stepped up to her teammate.

"But only up close, I think. So keep your distance, we have to try and attack her all at once. She might have multiple skills, but they seem to be all centered around the prayer beads."

Cordiculya nodded, trying to think of a plan. Kano was right: taking the Youma-to-be out would be easier if they hit her all together. If Cordiculya was going to attempt another ranged attack, however, it would have to be timed well.

“It would be helpful to have another sword. Any chance I could borrow one from another of your knights?"

“While I can give you one, I won’t lie and say it’ll be anything exceptional.” Cordiculya frowned briefly in concentration, and a knight came into being before the two magical girls, kneeling with a bowed head as it offered up a long sword. Officially, it would require some energy from Cordiculya to keep the sword in this reality (similar to her knights), but how much energy that’s needed for these things is directly tied to how complicated her mental commands to her constructs were. As such, the command for the sword to simply exist was not at all taxing; Kano would be doing most of the work.

“We should try and retrieve Angela,” Cordiculya whispered, as the knight faded away. “If we’re to strike as one, we need to plan a-”

"Target locked! Activating Tesla Ring!"

The air was suddenly charged with electrical energy, enough to make the hairs on Cordiculya’s neck stand on end even more than they already were.

“Bugger!” Cordiculya stepped back, another archer raising to stand in front of her, though this one did not immediately fire. Cordiculya bit her lip: even with this electrical attack, would the ex-priestess still be able to deflect? Indecision eventually caused her to turn to her teammate. “Kano! I-I’ll wait to fire, you go and back Angela up!”

Carmen

Mission 1- The Forest.

Part of her wanted to stay, even though the battle was hopeless now. To die beside her friends. Part of her wanted to try to grab their corpses, prevent them from falling to the same fate of becoming Youma themselves. But most of her was about pragmatism. She was almost out of magic herself, and all a normal girl could do to a Youma was sate its hunger.

Another brown flash of energy as Carmen reverted to her normal form. A single tear came down her face as she ran for her life. Cynthia... Irina... I'm sorry, both of you. I'll keep up the fight in your names. I hope you forgive me; I'll damn well never forgive myself.

Miyuki Aozora/Papyra
Victory!

The taste of iron and salt still lingered on Papyra's tongue when she opened her eyes to see Crimson Moon looking down at her. There was just a drop of blood left on the other girl's lip that sent alarm bells ringing. Papyra stared blankly at Crimson Moon, then touched two fingers to her lips to find that they also had blood on them. The blood could have been for a few reasons, but Papyra just knew that Crimson Moon had kissed her. Perhaps not romantically, but they had definitely kissed! Obsessing over this fact would have been easy had it not been for Lady Winter's sudden screaming. She had almost forgotten where she was or what had just taken place, but that certainly snapped her back to into reality.

Papyra looked over as the the ice and snow burst through the basement floor, shooting out shards of ice that pierced through the Youma's back. The Youma was frozen in motion for a split second, before bursting into a blinding white light that filled the room and sent a shock wave through out the hospital. This light was pure and warm, and in it, was Brianna's lifeless body. Lying on top of Brianna was a small porcelain mask with pink and purple jeweled eyes entrapped in what appeared to be some sort of crystal.

"She was just a child..." La Voisin knelt down beside Brianna and picked up the girl's heartstone, inspecting it briefly before standing tall again. She exhaled a sigh of relief, then looked down at the unconscious Ava Rose. Lady Winter had pulled her weight in this fight, but La Voisin hadn't forgotten how much a total bi...That thought was cut short by the sudden groan coming from above them.

Debris began falling from the ceiling. It's foundation had been shaken by the explosion of magical energy, and the eruption of ice and snow didn't help any. Papyra jumped up, noting that her injuries were healed. There would be time to thank Crimson Moon later. Now was not the time.

"Let's get out of here!" Papyra yelled to the others. She rushed forward, towards La Voison, who had taken the liberty of carrying their unconscious teammate. Papyra moved past them and up the stairs, allowing La Voisin and Ava Rose to go first before following suit. The first floor of the hospital was a mess. The double doors leading out was quickly becoming inaccessible, but if they moved quick, they could make it out without being squashed. La Voison seemed to have the right idea, as she was already jogging over. Papyra followed after her, looking back to make sure Crimson Moon hadn't been left behind, or crushed by something.

A crowd had gathered across the street as the hospital began sinking into the ground. La Voisin placed Ava Rose on the ground, bending slightly at the waist as she caught her breath. Naturally the crowd's attention went to the magical girl's seen exiting the scene. People started to whisper, other's snapped pictures and videos with their cellphones, which would no doubt be plastered on the web at some point.

A paper butterfly suddenly materialized under their feet, lifting the girl's up, and causing La Voisin to fall backwards onto her bottom. Papyra glanced back, then chuckled. "Sorry. Hold on tight!" She said, before sending the butterfly zipping forward.

Lady Shiko - Mountain Path
Shiko froze when the air around her started to spark and crackle. A ring of electric energy formed on the ground before she was shocked and electricity coursed through ever fiber of her being. Her body seized, but she still managed to keep her body from collapsing to the ground. Her muscles were twitching and her nerves were tingling as the electricity finally stopped sparking, but her body was still channeling the energy. Shiko was having a hard time keeping control of her twitching and even though she was demanding her body to move, it wouldn't listen completely. She managed to turn her head towards the girl that had summoned the attack and scowled. The girl was strong, but she was new as well. The priestess could see that even though her Mandala Eye couldn't reach the girl at this range. On top of that, the Magical Girl was driven by her emotions, easily defeated if angered too much.

"You're very headstrong." The control over her body was finally returning as she stood up straight and shook her hands, trying to rid them of the rest of tingling that was lingering. It was clear the girl was winded, that attack must've taken a decent amount of energy. She wouldn't be able to expend that much again, so her the attacks would be minor. "But you won't get that lucky again." Shiko wrapped her prayer beads around her hands and closed her eyes. "Virya."

The priestess already could feel her energy being restored from the attack. Virya was her one time restoration power she had in her arsenal. It wasn't extremely powerful or healing, but it was enough to get the strength she needed to fight back. When she opened her eyes again, her sights were set on the girl who had attacked her. She whipped her beads out quickly and they were headed straight for Angela.

Kokuyo Kano - Mountain Path
Kano watched as Cordiculya summoned another knight and it offered its sword up, she took it carefully. It was a well made sword, longer than her saber, as well as heftier, if she was to be honest. But Kano was thankful for it. Duel wielding was something that she hadn't mastered yet, but she was still practiced in it. She held it tightly in her left hand, not used to the weight, and swung it a few times. This wasn't going to be perfect. Kano was off balance and balance was everything when wielding two swords. She had to be careful, attacking the Youma when she wasn't one hundred percent accurate with her strikes could be fatal.

"I'm putting my faith in you, Corky." Kano said as she turned her attention back to the Youma who was recovering from Angela's attack. "I'm going to try and draw her attention, but you need to finish her. She's weak, so you're going to have to hit her." Green eyes glanced at Cordiculya. "Hard."

The brunette turned back to the Youma and readied her blades. She needed to be quick, just long enough to keep the Youma's attention off of Cordiculya and maybe do some damage if she could. Kano was going to try and strategize a bit more, but she saw the priestess begin to pray and a faint green glow eminated from her. Within seconds, the priestess was attacking Angela and in her current state, Kano wasn't sure that Angela could protect herself. So Kano clenched her swords and rushed forward to try and intercept the weapon before her beads could land.

Kano swung the long sword as hard as she could and the blade connected with the Youma's beads, throwing them off course. She could feel the Youma's glare as she skidded to a halt in front of her, swords still raised, but slightly out of breath from the exertion. Kano wasn't exactly sure how long she was going to last against the warped priestess, but she had to try her best, long enough for her teammates to do more damage. Long enough to prove she wasn't useless without having a transformation.

"You're very persistent for a non-magical girl." Shiko mocked with a very slight smile. "Why are you even here? You might as well sit back and let your teammates do the work, since you don't have any real power." Kano scowled before slashing her saber towards the Youma, she dodged easily. Gracefully, even. If Kano hadn't been fighting for her life, she might've admired the priestess's foot work. But she was fighting for her life, and the life of her teammates. One that was already lost. So the young girl clenched her jaw as she followed her first attack with a vertical cut upwards and continued on in such a manner. Every motion her saber made, the sword followed and the Youma continued to dodge. They danced like this for what seemed like minutes, but in reality was only mere seconds.

As Kano was about to strike with the sword again, she felt her body starting to weaken and her left arm moved slower than it had previously. Shiko must've noticed, because in a split second her beads were wrapped around the sword and it was yanked from Kano's hand. "I will give you credit," The Youma muttered as the beads ensnared the brunette around the waist once more, pinning her arms to her sides. "You have a lot of fight for a mere girl. I almost feel remorse for ending your life so soon, but I'm sure your soul will be exquisite."

Kano struggled the best that she could as the priestess slowly reeled her in. Almost as if she was toying with her. She knew that Kano couldn't break free from her weapon, not as long as she wasn't transformed, and that wasn't bound to happen anytime soon. So all she could do was dig her heels into the ground and try and fight against the pull the best she could. But her time limit was almost up. Even though her heartstone offered her a boost of power, it didn't last forever, and Kano knew it was fading. She was growing tired and every time her muscles fired, it was painful. She really hoped Cordiculya had her attack ready or she would end up like poor Aki.

Crimson Moon - Abandoned hospital

Crimson Moon smiled down at Papyra as she opened her eyes. "I...didn't have much choice," she said, to excuse her imposition on her fellow magical girl. Papyra's recovery, combined with the defeat of the Youma and subsequent threat of a building collapsing on their heads quickly had her back in action, running to the best of her ability, right behind her allies.

"Don't have to tell me twice," she shouted ahead in answer to Papyra's sound suggestion. It wasn't the time to be worried, or winded, or whatever else, it was the time to get the hell out. And get she did, only stopping to catch her breath after the trio of conscious girls had arrived outdoors.

Perfect, she thought as she panted for breath, likely still looking pale as a ghost. Big entrance and you look like you can't even jog 100 meters. "Damn," Crimson Moon said, loud enough for the other girls near her to hear. "I burned through way too much blood at once in there. I'm not...usually this bad."

She almost lost her balance at the sudden appearance of the butterfly, but compensated by throwing herself forward and into a crouch that she hoped looked cool and covered the fact that each hand wrapped some of the butterfly's paper structure in a solid grip. "Got it. Let's get back to school."

Samantha – Purple Team – Mountain Pass

Cordiculya felt her jaw drop as the corrupted Shiko healed herself.

“How tough is this thing?!”

With the ability to redirect ranged attacks, heal, and all the versatility her beads offered, this priestess was proving a hardy foe. The only thing they had to be glad for was that she wasn’t fully transformed: if she had achieved her full Youma state, Cordiculya had no doubt that they wouldn’t stand a chance against her full might.

"I'm putting my faith in you, Corky." Kano said, causing the other magical girl to refocus on her teammate. At this current juncture, Cordiculya barely even noticed the nickname. "I'm going to try and draw her attention, but you need to finish her. She's weak, so you're going to have to hit her. Hard."

Cordiculya swallowed down a nervous gulp and let out a tiny nod. Her heart felt like it was trying to match a rabbit’s erratic beat, but she knew she had to try and not let her panic get the best of her. If they only had one solid shot at this, then she needed to try and stay composed. She had trained for the vast majority of her life for this: she couldn’t fall at this first hurdle.

Both girls looked up as the half transformed Youma readied an attack. Kano leapt forward, and dived into melee combat, while Cordiculya readied another archer. While the knight drew back the string on its bow, it did not fire. With how rapidly Kano and their target were weaving around each other, Cordiculya’s head filled with images of the arrow missing its target and hitting Kano instead. Hell, with Shiko’s ability to redirect ranged attacks, was using an archer even the best idea?!

“I…I need to get closer.” Cordiculya nodded, and her knight shattered out of existence. With half hesitant steps, the wannabe princess edge towards the fight already taking place. It was mesmerising: while the priestess was dodging with a coordination and speed that was almost baffling, Kano was guiding her swords with a fierceness that did nothing to hide her skill. Cordiculya couldn’t even imagine wielding a single sword, let alone wielding two with the aptitude that Kano had.

Cordiculya had only taken a few steps towards this deadly picture of grace when the knight’s sword was yanked out of Kano’s hand. The girl’s heart seized up as Kano was immobilised, and dragged towards the Youma.

It was now or never.

Cordiculya broke into a run as her mind raced. Ranged attacks brooked too much risk – summoning at this range was impossible – the Youma hadn’t ‘deflected’ any of Kano’s melee attacks, might not be able to – Kano only had a few seconds before the Youma pulled her in – therefore:

Need…to be…closer…

Cordiculya leg’s pumped as she tried to gauge the distance. She needed to be within at least six meters to summon her knights, and every step cost Kano precious seconds.

Almost…NOW!

With a roar of forming stone, Cordiculya summoned a single knight directly behind Kano, and the stone being bear hugged the girl to its chest. Praying that the combined pressure of the beads and knight weren’t going to choke the poor girl, Cordiculya ordered the knight to yank back on the beads as powerfully as it could.

Not having the time to stop and check the results, Cordiculya swung her arm forward as she ran, screaming:

“Take the battle to them! Charge forward!”

With a snap, four knights formed into world, lances gripped in their hand. Angled around the Youma as best as Cordiculya could manage at this distance, the knights stepped forward once, twice, and then thrust!

Time seemed to slow as the lances were driven forward. Cordiculya had to pray those lances hit: even an off-handed swipe of Shiko’s beads would be enough to shatter those knights to pieces. Cordiculya wasn’t even sure if the knight pulling on Kano (and thus the beads) would have any effect. Worse still, now that she was at such a close range, the princess magical girl was almost certainly within range herself. With her energy reserves dwindling, this was an all or nothing attack.

Powers used

(Using a variation of this is restrain Kano) ---Utility “Your princess has need of your strength!” > Samantha can summon up to four knights to lift, carry or move something heavy. Unlike the knights carrying Samantha, these knights cannot not move quickly, and are thus unsuitable for travelling any sort of considerable distance.
Medium--- “Take the battle to them! Charge forward!” > Samantha summons up to ten knights wielding either swords or spears, and has them charge forward in formation. While the knights can only attack once, and must all attack at the same time, this attack can deal some heavy damage (assuming all the knights live long enough to actually attack).

It had all happened so fast.

The Youma was luring children off the pier at the beach, so the four of them had traveled on Caracara’s mount, hugging each other around the waists and chatting excitedly. The anticipation for their first ever hunt was exhilarating, especially since they’d been assigned to a group together. They’d been discussing this moment since they’d met their first year. And now it was time to prove their worth as Magical Girls.

But things can quickly go wrong.

Caracara had dismissed her mount and pinpointing the affected pier they’d fanned out - she and Susannah on one side, Tara and Sakuko on the other. They’d taken the Youma by surprise even, though this was only because it was busy feeding on a child. Caracara and two of her fellows had attacked the seaweed haired, scale covered demon. But the shock of seeing a murder before her very eyes was too much for Tara, who stumbled away into the ocean. She was knocked off balance by a sneaker wave and dragged out to sea.

Tara Wellington - cause of death, Drowning

Sakuko had screamed, and despite her companions cries to keep fighting, had sprinted full force into the surf herself. She and Tara had been inseparable since they’d met in First Year, apparently the love between them was an obvious weakness. She managed to pull Tara from the waves, using her own water based powers to help her, but did not see the driftwood log hurtling over the waves toward her until it was too late.

Taketa Sakuko - cause of death, Crushed by log

They gave it everything they had, Caracara and Susannah. They brought the Youma down with a barrage of the former’s poison dart frogs, and the latter’s knifelike crystals. But not without consequences. A miscalculated dodge put Susannah directly into the path of the Youma’s jagged claws, and it stabbed deeply into her chest just as it was brought down itself. The heartstone bounced to the sand beside her as Caracara cradled her friend, tears sliding down her face. Susannah coughed, shuddered, and fell still.

Susannah Green - cause of death, Massive blood loss

So there Caracara stood. She was soaked in Suasannah’s blood, clutching a tiny calcified heartstone. Looking across at the sand she saw that her friend’s bodies, limp and lifeless, had washed up and as if patiently waiting for her. Beyond them was the tiny body of the dead child they hadn’t been able to save.

It was all too much. She couldn’t do it. Taking her finger from her ring, Caracara ends her transformation, collapsing to the sand as average girl Xiomara. She curled her knees to her chest and rocked, weeping harsh tears for her companions. How had it all gone so wrong? She didn’t understand. It had taken less than 5 minutes for her entire world to shatter.

But she wasn’t just sad - she was also terrified. She had heard stories of Magical Girls turned to Youma after traumatic experiences. The pain of her closest friends death was burning a hole in her chest and she needed to breathe. After an hour Xiomara wipes her puffy red eyes, tucking the Youma’s heartstone into her pocket and transforming back into Caracara. She summoned her mount and as gently as possible loaded her friends bodies on the back. She wasn’t thinking clearly obviously - the amount of gore she’d be parading through the streets would probably shock the average citizen. After a moment’s hesitation she left the child’s corpse, deciding it would be best for the police to find him.

She rode the incorporeal mount all the way back to the Academy, her arms wrapping tightly around her friends’ waists to keep them in place.

Lady Shiko - Mountain Path
It had all happened so fast. She must've been too focused on the brunette with the swords, that was her mistake. Shiko wasn't worried about the other two girls at the distance. The headstrong brunette was more fun to taunt and much easier, but in the end that was her demise. The priestess hadn't noticed any form of a threat until she was surrounded by knights, their weapons leveled at her. It didn't hurt as much as she'd though, dying. Much less even than losing her sister. Shiko almost felt relieved that she could pass. Living as a Youma, as much power as she'd gained, was draining.

Her body was being held up with the lances that were pierced into the ground. Her vision was starting to fade as she looked around to see the knights still holding their weapons and the girls that were closing in on her. Probably to make sure that she was actually dying. Soon enough her soul would leave her body and her heartstone would calcify, the fate of every Magical Girl, and Youma, that died. At least she would see her sister soon.

Kokuyo Kano - Mountain Path ---> Elite
Kano didn't have time to think between the moment she began getting crushed to the point where she was being embraced by a giant stone knight. She did, however, see the other statues Cordiculya had summoned impale the Youma with their spears. The priestess must not have noticed that Cordiculya had been advancing on her since she was focused on Kano. The brunette grunted as she wiggled her way out of the knight's arms and struggled to stand. Her body ached as she knelt down and grabbed her saber. A bit of her energy replenished and the pain diminished, but only slightly. Her heartstone's energy was fading and she needed to conserve it, so she sheathed her blade and dealt with the full effects of the fight.

"Good job, Princess." Kano muttered softly as she glanced at Cordiculya and sighed heavily. She saw Angela approaching from her left and they all moved forward slowly towards the fallen Youma. There was a small smile on Shiko's lips and Kano frowned as she watched the Youma's body begin to distintegrate until nothing was left of her but a small stone that pulsed softly with a bright red light. "Must be her calcified heartstone."

The stone itself looked like it had been dipped in lava and left to cool, only small cracks of red light breaking through the corroded surface. Kano was hesitant to pick it up. There were many rumors that circulated around calcified heartstones, the most common being that they harbored the tainted soul of the Magical Girl it belonged to. She wasn't exactly sure if that was a rumor or not, but she figured as long as she didn't break the stone, nothing horrible would happen. Hopefully.

"Do...either of you want to pick that thing up?"

Aozora Miyuki
Elite! Academy

Trees rustled and skirts flew as the giant paper butterfly swooped in over the apple orchards. It lowered gracefully onto the ground, breaking up into bits of confetti as the wind blew. A flash of light enveloped Papyra's body suddenly as her magical girl transformation 'powered down'. She looked to the other's, mainly at La Voisin, since she had taken the calcified heartstone from Brianna's body. When they were ready, they would channel the power from the heartstone into themselves for an even distribution of power. They couldn't do it without Ava, though.

"Should we try to wake her?" Miyuki asked, bending at the waist slightly to look down at Ava. "Wake up, Sleeping Beauty. We've made it home, and the youma is dead." Miyuki said in a sing song voice, and poked the tip of Ava's nose with her index finger.
