    Getsu City/Bishoujo City, Getsu

Getsu City, also known as Bishoujo city, is a large city on Getsu Island. It is one of the largest islands in the world. Being that it is in the North Pacific Ocean, the dominant culture on this island is Japanese, with a slight American influence in the fashion sense and food culture, and a higher population of foreigners than Japan. On first glance it looks like a calmer version of Tokyo and New York City, but it's much more spacious. It is also the home of the Elite Magical Girl Academy, which is hidden away on the outskirts of Getsu City.

The farther you go out from Getsu City, the more green you'll begin to see. There are plenty of farms, villages, and beautiful beaches once you leave Getsu City. Unfortunately, the countryside can be even more dangerous than the city, with Youma hiding in the surrounding forests and often attacking small villages freely. It is where ancient, rare Youma are said to hide.

    On Campus Locations
Note: Try not to have too many character's congregrating in the same area! :) These spots are mostly for character socialization, but may become key points in the rp at some point.

House A - Living quarters for some of the students.
House B - Also a living quarters for some of the students.
Main Building - Where the classrooms and faculty dorms are located.
Library - A large library where girls can find books on just about anything magical girl related or not.

Rooftop - The rooftop of the main building.
Stables and barn - Place where horses and other animals are kept.
Dining Hall - Place to eat.

Orchards - Apple orchards not too far from the main buildings, with a scenic trail.
Studio - Equipped with a ballet barre, a piano, and a sound proof room in the back for practicing musicians.
Volleyball net - A volleyball net off to the side of the pool with sand.
Tennis Court - Near the courtyard, behind a gate with bleachers for onlookers.
Greenhouse - A decent sized greenhouse for those with a green thumb.
Bath House - For baths. Also has showers.

Training Room - Magical Girl Simulation room.( Max: 2-4 Players at a time.)

Bishoujo Bistro - Cute cafe place themed around magical girls.
Getsu's Comic Store - Three tier store that sells Video Games, Comics and Manga, Board games, and also card games. Plus other niche stuff that would fall in the geeky category.

  • Posting Rules
    1. When posting, use your character's name as a header and their location.
    2. During battles, do not autohit NPCs. This includes Youma and Magical Girl.
    3. No metagaming or Godmodding, at all. If you have permission to do so from the Player, then this is fine.
    4. No collaborative posts, unless two characters are on a date , or something similar and there is no risk of another being around.
    5. If you are inactive without word for two weeks, then you will be dropped and your character will be taken control of by me. Posting IC means you agree to this rule.
    6. No sex scenes within the IC thread. And definitely no sex scenes with people not in your age range.
    7. Intermediate writing standards are expected in this rp, and I will accept no less than a paragraph(5-7 sentences) for IC posts.

    Combat Rules
    1. No Auto-hitting or taking control of a Youma. This is mainly for plot purposes. If you were to take control of one of the enemies this may be interrupt plots or ideas we have in mind. Also to keep the fights balanced and to make sure everyone gets their fair share of butt-kicking from the Youma. You are welcome to direct a hit at a Youma, but do not say the attack has landed, until the person controlling the Youma acknowledges it as fact. Youma Players reserve the right to say a Youma's attack has landed on a character, to kidnap players, or anything else that enemy characters may do. This is, again, for plot purposes. Rest assured we won't ever inflict fatal wounds on your character without your consent, and if we plan to
kidnap or do anything similar to your character we may inform you first depending.

    2. Be reasonable. If your character has already used a couple of attacks that require a decent amount of power or more advanced utility skills it will show. Their energy is not infinite. I'm going to give people freedom to pick their skills and attempt to dodge/evade/attack, but ultimately whether something affects the Youma is up to
the Youma player to keep things fun, fresh, and fair.

    3. The first time you use one of your character's spells, please provide a description of what it does in your post, or include it in a spoiler tag. This will make things easier on everyone, especially the Youma players.

Miyuki; a pretty name and Ava-Rose liked how friendly the girl was being towards her and the brunette girl; Kokuyo. She watched the white-haired girl bounce off towards the volleyball/pool area. She was about to follow after her. "It was nice to meet..." When she turned to speak to the brunette, she was already almost all the way down the hall further from her. "Oh... rude." Rolling her eyes, she spun on her heels and followed behind Miyuki.

She wasn't the most sportiest of girls, but when it came to Volleyball, that's where she shined. She loved it. She could still look sexy while hitting a ball and hopefully smacking an annoying girl in the face with said ball; on "accident" of course. She wouldn't do that to Miyuki though; she was actually starting to like the white-haired girl for the most part. She could see the two of them being the hottest girls Elite has ever had in their halls; running the school together. Twirling a lock of her long hair, she bit down on her bottom lip and sashayed all the way towards the net.

Spotting her potential new friend in crime, she moved to the left side of the net; the opposite side of Miyuki. She smiled at her. "Ready to lose?" She giggled. She could be playing around or she could be serious; there never was a clear reading when it came to her. She took a few seconds to stretch her arms and legs, trying to get as loose and flexible as possible. She's very competitive and being a sore loser was an understatement when it came to her.

She made sure that all of hair was pulled back; her ponytail now in a tighter version than previously. She got in position and was ready. "Ok." She was ready to show her skills; she loved showing off any chance she got.

Trippy!

Angela had made quite a bit of progress on her puzzles, but this was starting to get boring. She locked her phone, rolled out of bed, and decided to make her way somewhere. She wasn't too certain where she'd go, but really. Did that matter all that much? Nope! And with that in mind, Angela quickly bolted out of her room and to the stairway. She made it down both flights before something got in her way: someone's incredibly large suitcases. They were mostly out of the way of the staircase, but in the way enough that Angela would have to go out of her way to avoid them. So she did, sort of. She tried to clear them with a jump from a couple steps above the floor.

Not gonna work.

Angela's foot caught on one of the suitcases on her way down, causing her to stumble. Thankfully she was able to keep herself from faceplanting on the floor, but the suitcase in question rocked on its stand for a moment before falling over noisily. "Oops," Angela muttered, cringing at the noise. She should've known better. She didn't have the leg strength to clear that kind of height and distance in a single jump. Tabitha, her older sister, did, but Tabitha was a world-class gymnast, so of course she could.

Charee Moreau - House A, Floor One.

In the moments Samantha was silent Charee feared she'd chosen the very wrong target at the very wrong time, earning her imminent verbal decimation. All Charee's worries were eased once Samantha opened her mouth though- Samantha's embarrassed stuttering was a typical symptom of one enthralled by Charee. Actually, it was beyond typical; the look on Samantha's face sung out to Charee that she was hitting all of this girl's soft spots. Maybe it'd even be worth perusing this girl's attention beyond today? Imagine that, getting a princess type enamoured with her. Charee internally giggled at the thought of it, as she prepared to channel all of her charming powers at Samantha.

"Ah, I'm glad you're okay. It does feel a little strange to be back, but it's exciting to see everyone again too!" cheered Charee, cheeks turning rosy at Samantha's compliment, "I'm Charee, I hope we-EEEH!" Charee's sentence turned into a yelp as a large mass flew in front of her. As Charee sprung up in fright she realised it was another student who had somehow fallen over the suitcases, seemingly via a failed attempt to vault over the luggage. May as well make the most of the moment, Charee decided, 'accidentally' landing against Samantha. Holding onto Samantha's sides to stabilise herself, Charee spluttered "Wha... I-I'm so sorry! Um, ah, I d-didn't mean to, a-and the girl, is she uh-okay?"

Mina Strand
Boarding House A, Room 2B

Mina had taken the time to get in early to finish moving. A whole week early, as it so happened. Being that she was quite far from home at the academy, she didn't have much choice to conveniently show up from home on the usual move-in day. At least she got to spend most of her break back home with her family. She was already all moved in and unpacked, as was obvious to anyone who walked in. She wasn't the sort to have any posters adorning the walls or a gigantic collection of stuffed toys, but the room certainly looked live in. To wit, it was a complete mess.

Discarded clothing scattered across the floor and bed, with only a small amount actually making its way to the laundry hamper. The actual clean clothes were carefully put away, aside from some underwear still hanging from the line Mina had strung up for drying purposes. She was at least tidy enough to throw away her trash when she was done with it, and her desk was still clean, although time would pile papers into heaps on it soon enough. She was, at least, careful to keep the family photos in their frames in view even when the term was in full swing.

Free from the burden of moving in, Mina had spent her day people-watching. It was always a thrill to watch everyone coming and going. Another year meant fresh goodbyes and new beginnings. It was a wonderful time, and the storm of cherry blossoms only served to add to the poetry of the moment. Of course, Mina's eyes were focused on the students themselves, particularly the unsuspecting new first years. It was always so fun to greet the newcomers. She had to wipe the lascivious grin off her face before leaving her room to actually attempt just that.

Boarding House A, First Floor Landing

Mina's attempts to actually leave were impeded somewhat by what appeared to primarily be a tangle of other girls and luggage. She stood nearby, carefully surveying the situation. "The hell happened here," she asked the other girls. "Someone just leave a bunch of boxes lying around or something?" Really, it's dangerous to leave things piled up like that, someone could get hurt. Nobody appeared to be, this time, so Mina was left to wonder if the contents of that fallen suitcase were intact, instead.

"This stuff yours," she asked the other girls, gesturing toward the suitcases in the hallway. There was a decent chance something belong to one of them. "Do you need some help with it?"

House A (1D)-> House A (First floor common room)

The nap had been great, but Carmen couldn't spend all her time sleeping. There were roommates to meet and summer stories to share, after all. She walked out of her room, into the common area. "Hey, anybody out here?"

Cynthia Einfeld - [House B - 1O] - Dining Hall

Cynthia just couldn't find the words to properly diagnose the clutter of emotions that the encounter had left with her. It was as if the winds had swept by her, and robbed her of her senses, leaving behind only a body that was witness to it's own happenings. Certainly, the brief and one-sided exchange with Irina accurately fit such a description. Thinking back on it now, it was a tad bit embarrassing, on both encounters, to be left gapping - not so much like a fish, but … much like a clueless puppy. Helpless perhaps.

After making sure that all her possessions were on hand, and in no danger of taking another trip down the flight of stairs, Cynthia fled. She needed a distraction to prevent herself from dwelling on the awkward and annoying thoughts, but zoning off in the middle of a very busy and occupied staircase wouldn't exactly put her in anyone's good graces. She skipped the steps by two at a time, and easily maneuvered her way around the hard-working arrivals and bodies that took up the space of the hallway until she reached her room. As soon as the door shut behind her, she knew that she'd have to leave. She just wasn't far away enough from the metaphorical crime scene to feel quite at home with herself. It was odd to feel so restless when there wasn't an actual danger or threat, and Cynthia sought to rid herself of the particular kink in her neck that was likely from overthinking the entire encounter with the first of many familiar faces.

"If only I'd found something better to sate my curiosities, hm?" She mused to herself, as she shuffled her boot clad feet against the soft floors before taking a direction. Approaching the desk in the corner, she swiped the dark book from its edge before turning on her heel, more than happy to find other places to find some semblance of balance and peace elsewhere. Probably somewhere a little more warm, while she was at it.

When she pushed the doors open to the Dining Hall, she was hit by a wonderful aroma of … well, whatever it was, if it were a person, Cynthia could easily see herself getting down on one knee for them. The Dining Hall didn't exactly host many visitors at the moment, but Cynthia certainly expected that to change quickly. It was warm, and not only in temperature, the atmosphere and decor of the place was inviting, and soothing; enticing the wandering strays with ease, she would venture to guess. Perhaps that was the one thing that saved the hall from simply being a glorified cafeteria. Certainly, it was cleaner, smelled much better, and offered nourishment that was appealing to all of one's senses, but it was the extra special something that set it apart from just an upgraded food court for the students.

Walking up to the lovely lady behind the checkout box, Cynthia held up a simply wrapped hash brown in one hand while pushing the empty cup forward with her pinky - as her other hand was holding both her book and wallet. After ordering for a specific beverage, Cynthia tossed down a single paper bill, and shuffled the wallet back into her deep pockets - just in time to receive the fresh and piping hot coffee.

With a satisfied smile, Cynthia maneuvered her food and drink until she held both on one hand and made her way to one of the many empty seats. Settling down onto the clean and, not disgustingly, warm seat, she took a quick moment to set her things onto the table, though not in a way that would inconvenience any other who may decide to take a seat in her general area. Opening her book, Cynthia settled herself comfortably, ready to lose herself in the pages of a fantasy when the same familiar obnoxious squeak echoed loudly in the mostly empty Dining Hall. With a lightning quick investigation, Cynthia quickly identified the stupid corgi plushie getting squished under the weight of the book's cover … and her hand on the latter.

"I swear to god if you hadn't been a gift, I would have tossed you in the bin so long ago," she spoke quietly, her voice reaching octaves lower to keep herself quiet. Perhaps she could accidentally eradicate it whilst performing research on it. It certainly brought her no joy so far, and only seemed to bring awkward misfortunes on her. Perhaps it was a curse of sorts, and the sender wouldn't get mad at her if she explained the situation properly, right? 'It needed to be ripped apart. For research you see. For my own health, no less, darling.' She could already imagine herself, teasingly condescending and asking for quite a bit of punishment and backlash for her cheek.

Kokuyo Kano - Library--->House B
Kano looked up and saw the red, leather bound book that the girl had been pointing to. She reached up and gently pulled it down from the shelf. A cook book. The brunette tilted her head slightly as she looked at the book, then turned and offered it to the dark haired girl. She wasn't usually in the habit of helping people with much of anything, but this was a different circumstance at least.

"Here." Kano set the book down on a nearby table, not really wanting to be in the library much longer since it wasn't a place of solitude for her with others here. Before the girl could reply, Kano turned and walked back towards the exit. She wasn't exactly sure what had compelled her to go to the library, but she didn't feel the need to be there anymore.

Once she was outside again, her train of thought for getting fresh air was gone and she found herself growing tired. So she decided to take the long way back to the house. Past the stables and the athletic area where she saw the two girls that lived in her house playing volleyball. Kano didn't linger there, the sun was starting to set and she didn't want the pink haired one to come after her again and try to socialize.

So she passed the girls playing volleyball and headed back to the house. There were more girls out and about now, which meant that less would be at the house, hopefully. Kano got a few glances as she walked back to her house. Her mother being such a high profile person made her existence anything but private. Some of the girls whispered amongst themselves as they passed and a few blushed when Kano glanced back with a straight expression.

Her green eyes rolled when a group giggled as they passed. If it wasn't because of her name, it was because of her reputation. Not only did most of the girls at Elite know she hadn't transformed yet, they also knew of her exploits outside of school. Mainly that she preferred the company of woman, which wasn't uncommon, but Kano didn't care to hide the fact that she enjoyed said company. Without making any solid ties with whomever she encountered, of course.

Kireina-House A- Library

Kireina was relieved when the stranger handed her the cook book, she hadn't honestly expected assistance as she was quite used to not receiving it, in fact it was a more common occurrence to be mocked for her limitations.
"I forgot to ask her to help me give out the cookies... Oh well... She probably wouldn't have helped me anyway...".
Kireina thought to herself as she rolled over to the librarian and checked out the book, intending to try some of the recipes later.

Her business in the library done for the day, Kireina left, intending to head back to the dorms and maybe find a delivery girl there, even if no one would do it for free she could just offer them extra cookies or something in that vein.
She pretty quickly arrived back at the dorms, able to move around quite fast despite what people may think and waited for someone to enter so she could rope them into cookie distribution.

Samantha Garland - House A first floor (with a detour through cloud 9)

"Ah, I'm glad you're okay. It does feel a little strange to be back, but it's exciting to see everyone again too!"

Samantha blinked slightly at the comment, before it clicked in her head: this girl before her must also be a third year student. With her adorable precious youthful appearance, Samantha had confused her with a second or maybe even first year student. It was almost difficult for Samantha to picture such a cute girl battling real Youma, but maybe that was just her big-sister instinct kicking in.

"I'm Charee, I hope we-EEEH!"

Samantha would later claim that she had merely jumped when a sudden blur of movement shot by her and Charee. The reality is that she let out a pretty undignified yelp that sounded like a cat having its tail trodden on and had had nearly jump half as high as one. While the girl-projectile had successfully stumbled into a partial recovery, the offending luggage rocked precariously in her wake. Samantha winced both in preparation for the worryingly loud bang it made as it finally fell, but also as she realized that she actually left her luggage at an angle on a stairwell, basically blocking half of the landing. She briefly wondered if she could face-palm her own stupidity out of her head.

Any and all thoughts of self-loathing were knocked out of her at precisely the moment Charee fell against her.

All at once, Samantha's senses were overcome by an aroma that reminded her of sweets or candy. It was a smell that both settled on the edge of her tongue as well as danced through her brain in a heady haze. Likewise, she was fairly certain the explosion of warmth that bloomed in her chest was only partially because of the physical heat of Charee's head being pressed there.

If what happened before was her big-sister instincts kicking back in, this was them going into maximum overdrive.

Holding back tears of joy she herself couldn't quite explain, Samantha allowed herself to at least think 'I must protect this summer sunshine child with my life' as she steadied the shorter girl. She was fairly certain Charee had spoken at some point, but her internal giddy laughter managed to swallow it up. She only became aware of the world again when a new voice encroached on her ear drums.

"The hell happened here, someone just leave a bunch of boxes lying around or something?"

When Samantha eyed up the new comer, she wondered briefly if she about to get into trouble with one of the academy's council members. The girl certainly looked the part: formally dressed, hair neat, and with a mixture of a concerned and stern expression playing across her features. Samantha wondered if it wasn't too late to claim the luggage didn't belong to her…

Settling on at last not drawing too much attention to her part in accident, Samantha remained silent as she (regretfully) eased Charee back to her feet just as the newcomer moved to help the girl who had tripped over to begin with.

Charee Moreau - House A, Floor One.

"The hell happened here, someone just leave a bunch of boxes lying around or something?"

Judging by the serious tone of voice and the worried look on Samantha's face Charee guessed the girl behind her was the no-nonsense types. Best to stay out of her way then, Charee determined, leaving them to aid the gymnast-wannabe by themselves. Instead Charee looked back up to Samantha, who had just gotten Charee stable again. Charee felt slightly disappointed to not be in Samantha's arms anymore, but hid it under an optimistic giggle. After-all, the easiest way to get cuddles was to keep up the sweet and bubbly demeanour.

"Thanks for helping balance me~," Charee lilted, "I'll return the favour by helping you move those bags out of the way!"

With a spring in her step Charee went over to Samantha's luggage, still fallen over from when the flying girl had knocked into them. Kneeling besides one of the cases, Charee grabbed the handle and attempted to pick it up. Attempted. Even though Charee wasn't so weak she couldn't carry her own bags this one seemed to be posing a problem; her petite frame wasn't designed for lifting such bulky cases. Not wanting to give up however, Charee put all of her might into one tug. It was to no avail, Charee falling backwards onto her bum with an exasperated pout.

Turning back towards Samantha, Charee promised "I-I can do it, I swear!"

Aozora Miyuki ~ Volleyball Net

Miyuki heard Ava's taunts, but chose to ignore them. She was more interested to see if Ava could actually play, or if she if just enjoyed talking smack and looking pretty. "Get ready!" Miyuki called out across the court. She took about a half a step back with her left foot, then, with very little effort at all, jumped into the air and powered the volleyball over the net with a powerful smack. If Ava wasn't any good, it would ground itself in no time, or possibly smack her in the face in the process.

Possibly unfortunately for Miyuki, Ava was able to reach the ball in time and send it back over the net. The white haired girl was certainly impressed, but she was determined to beat her pink haired friend. Miyuki dove straight for the sand with no reservations about ruining her hair, or adorable tracksuit. She sent the ball flying back to Ava, but the pink haired girl had proven herself a much better match than Miyuki initially thought.

The game was settled with Ava having a two point lead on Miyuki, but Miyuki put a smile on her face and exhaled deeply. Her cheeks were flushed from the physical extertion, and her heart was pounding. "I guess it's a good thing we didn't place any bets," Miyuki joked, tossing the ball over to Ava in a 'fast catch' sort of way.

New Neighbor!

Angela had paused after almost falling over, listening to the exchange behind her and starting to giggle when Samantha jumped a good three feet into the air. She spun around just in time to see Charee attempt and fail to push some of the other girl's luggage out of the way and a third girl offer to help. "Y'know what?" she asked. "You two could use all the help you can get. Introductions, please! I'm Angela, nice to meet you." She helped Charee to her feet with a smile, also taking the time to give the offending suitcase a testing nudge. "Whatcha got in this thing, a grot?" she asked. "Or maybe a whole weapons safe? Way too heavy for clothes, unless you, I dunno, shrunk them?" So many questions to be asked!, but for now, Angela just needed to get these suitcases out of the way.

"I'm in 3A, by the way," she said, getting into position to pull the luggage up the stairs. "What rooms are you three in?"

Mina Strand
Building A, 1st floor landing

Angela had requested introductions, and Mina didn't waste much time with her own response. "I'm Mina. Nice to meet you." She didn't bother extending a hand for a shake or anything, but the circumstances weren't quite right for it anyway, at least in her mind.

"I'm sure the four of use can make short work of this luggage, wherever it needs to go. We just pair off and lift from each end." Her confidence suggested a complete lack of concern for how heavy these might actually be, or otherwise difficult to move around. She had already made up her mind that working together, they could do it. "Now that you mention it," she said in answer to Angela's curiosity toward the trunk's contents, "I don't know either, but it's got to be interesting if it's that heavy. I hope it wasn't anything too fragile." She'd hope people wouldn't be lugging anything too fragile up the stairs anyway.

"Oh, and I live over in 2B," she added, to answer the last question. "Where are we taking these," she asked the other two girls. She could guess they weren't Angela's, and knew they weren't hers. So that just left the young-looking girl who seemed more like a small, carefully-dressed doll, or the princess type who could pass for her big sister.

Charee Moreau - House A, Floor One.

"2B? I'll be across from you then, I'm 2C!" Charee exclaimed, "We can be room buddies the~n. My name's Charee, I hope you treat me well."

To greet her new friend Charee flung her arms around Mina, giving her a friendly hug. Charee didn't expect the girl to reciprocate- she looked too serious for that. But Samantha had been more receptive than Charee had predicted, so it was always worth a try: especially when cuddles were the prize. Once Charee felt Mina had been sufficiently squeezed she let go of her, turning to face Angela.

"Thanks for helping me up! I've got no idea what's in those bags, b-but I'm sure it's not too heavy!"

A determined twinkle entered Charee's eye. She refused to be defeated by bags- even if she had to call for backup.

Kireina-Hall A
Kireina sighed as she sat alone in the empty lobby of the dorm, she had hoped to find someone to talk to but everyone had either ignored her or been busy with something else so she was forced to continue waiting alone.
Hearing the commotion and not having any luck meeting people where she was sitting, Kireina rolled herself over to the girls and watched them all struggling with the bags it was an interesting and honestly quite amusing sight, and before she could stop herself Kireina was giggling at the girls, one hand covering her mouth in a failed attempt to hold back the giggles and the other keeping several paper bags from falling out of her lap as she moved, they of course contained the sweet smelling cookies she had cooked earlier with the intention of sharing with the other magical girls.

Evidently, the rest of the students had shown up. And in their hordes, by the sound of it. With a roll of her eyes, Carmen roused herself from the couch to see exactly what was going on.

Sure enough, a small army of magical girls had descended upon House A, with all their luggage in tow. Carmen grabbed an unattended bag to help out. "Where are we taking these?"

An unexpected and wonderful smell assaulted Carmen's nose. It was coming from the bags the wheelchair girl was holding. Kireina, that was her name. Carmen had always been terrible at matching up faces with names. "Oh, those smell delicious, Kireina. What flavor are they?"

Kireina- House A-First Floor.
Just as she was starting to think about offering to help with the bags, though she wasn't honestly sure how she could help them other than maybe moving them to the stairs and waiting there.
When she was approached by a girl who she vaguely recognized as being called Carmen.
Regretting her inattentiveness to everyone else in the past years, she decided to try and be social.
"Ahh... They are triple chocolate... I baked them a little earlier and have been trying to give them to everyone, but of course I have found a problem with trying to reach the upper rooms... Hey, do you think you could help me give them out? I'll give you twice as many cookies if you do".
Kireina offered the bribe of cookies in return for assistance, hoping that the promise of extra chocolate would convince her.

AVA-ROSE
#FF57BD Location Lady Winter Ice Ava-Rose's OutfitVolleyball Attire Miyuki

Ava-Rose was impressed with Miyuki's skills on the volleyball court; she didn't really expect the girl to be as good as she was. She did love being the best at everything, but going against someone that could possibly be better than her, it just pushed her to go harder and that's exactly what she did. She didn't intend on losing anytime soon. If she did somehow up and lose, Elite would probably have to have a full day shutdown. Her sore loser tantrums always ended up with multiple causalities and devastating insults flying every which way.

When the game ended, she had won and she wanted everyone to know. Ava-Rose jumped up and down as she gloated. She blew kisses at the imaginary crowd and bowed to them as well. She was a terrible sore loser, but an even worse sore winner.

Turning back around to face Miyuki, she smirked at the girl's words. "Next time we can place bets, if you're not scare to face me again?" She laughed, catching the ball and placing it on the ground. She rested her foot on top of said ball and rolled it back and forth. She didn't look like she had broken a sweat during the match. Her secret to not sweating was putting on two coats of vanilla body oil, which was water resistant. She might not look tired and out of it, but she definitely was.

"So, you wanna go get something to eat? Well after we go get cleaned up and refreshed." She twirled her hair, before picking up the volleyball and wiping the sand off with her other hand.

"I'll return the favour by helping you move those bags out of the way!"

"You two could use all the help you can get-"

"I'm sure the four of us can make short work of this luggage, wherever it needs to go-"

"Where are we taking these?"

Samantha was briefly taken aback, blinking in silence for a second.

The very next moment she felt every inch of her face light up a bright crimson red, to the point where she had to turn her head off to one side. Raising a hand to her mouth in some kind of hapless attempt to cover how her face was doing a pretty decent tomato impression, Samantha tried to collect herself.

A flurry of conflicting emotions ran rampant around the girl's skull. On one hand, this show of altruism, kindness, and all around human decency from so many all at once was filling Samantha's chest with a warm glow that almost matched the feeling of pure magical power that transformations caused. On the other hand, this all only came about because she had been an idiot of impressive dimensions.

"Keep it together, Samantha, keep it together." The girl whispered to herself, before clearing her throat and raising her voice. "Th-thank you all, for the offer of help. If you all wouldn't mind, the cases need to be carried up to room 3B."

It took some awkward lifting in the tight space, but the ragtag group managed to divide the two cases between them, and the trek up the stairwell began. Divided between them all, the cases' weight were not an issue, though the fact such a group was needed for just two lots of luggage was slightly odd.

"I…should apologise for the cases weight." Samantha admitted as they climbed, focusing on keeping her footing as she lifted one corner of the heaviest of the two burdens. "I might have, err, been overzealous when I packed."

(Considering she had packed half of the contents and clothing of her room into bags that, by logical thinking, shouldn't have been able to accommodate so much, this was a vast understatement.)

Before long the group had ascended to the third floor and, after she awkwardly dug her keys out of one her dress pockets while lifting her corner of her case, had successfully managed to drop them into Samantha's room.

As she caught her breath, Samantha glanced about the space, glad to see it was just as she had left it. The small room was pretty opulent: the bed had its own gossamer curtain, the rug in the very centre of the room was exquisitely detailed, and the books stacked up on the selves were all first editions (of trashy romance novels). Samantha took a second to let a sigh of relief wash out of her. It already felt like she was home.

Turning around and offering thanks to each in turn, Samantha took a second to look at the girls who had helped her to carry these damnable cases. On one hand, their helpfulness was not surprising: they were all being trained to be magical girls, after all. Altruism was not exactly an uncommon trait among those who were gifted enough to be in this profession. And simply carrying some faulty travelling cases up a few sets of stairs was a pretty simple thing compared to the literal monsters that everyone would be fighting in what felt like a very short time. For all intents and purposes, this was a small gesture of decency.

On the other hand…

On the other hand, could Samantha claim that she had really experienced anything like this in the entirety of her first two years at this academy? Just this small, but never the less genuine show of camaraderie? She had never been a great hand at making friends, despite (or maybe because of) her fervent efforts, and yet these acquaintances had more or less stumbled into her. Had fate desired this chance encounter…?

"Pfft." Samantha shook her head. She was being overly-dramatic again.

Never the less, as she glanced around this motley group that had taken the time to help her, she nodded to herself with a content smile. There would be time yet to get to know these people, and perhaps Samantha would be lucky enough to call them her friends by the end of it all. As she leant against the cases which caused so much trouble, she decided that she already had good feeling about this year.

…Which is exactly when the cases finally decided to give up on existence, and promptly split open, their contents exploding out into a heap as gravity dragged Samantha downwards.

Now sat on a throne of her garish red polka dot pyjamas, a veritable collection of stuffed animals and basically everything else she had intended to keep secret from the world at large, the girl sighed. Honestly, this was kind of a zen moment: there was a certain comfort in the fact that she would probably never be this mortified again her lifetime. As for damage control…

Charee Moreau - House A, Floor Three, Room 3B.

"…Let me assure all of you, that whatever price your silence will cost, I will match it."

Almost as soon as the group had accomplished the feat of carrying Samantha's bags to her room the achievement had been somewhat spoiled by Samantha's bag exploding, leaving its contents and Samantha lying on the floor. Today seemed to be cursed with clumsiness- out of the four of them, only Mina had avoided tumbling in some manner... so far. As Charee contemplated the group's poor luck she surveyed the various items that had spilled out onto the floor. Amongst them were several stuffed toys, whose soft textures called out to Charee, tempting her to touch them.

"A cost for silence...?" Charee questioned, gently biting her lip in deliberation. Suddenly her face lit up, and Charee beseeched, "Let me see your full plushy collection some time! A-and maybe snuggle them a bit..."

Looking away Charee's voice trailed off, acting bashful over the fact she'd just asked if she could cuddle another person's soft toys. In actuality she felt no shame about such a request, but showing such shamelessness was hardly endearing. And the cuter Charee seemed the longer Samantha was likely to let her stay in her room where all the soft toys were. On another occasion that was- Charee realised Samantha probably didn't want them hanging around much longer after this humiliation, and she'd need time to put away all her belongings.

"I'll leave you to unpack now, Sammie. Bye-bye to you too, Mina and Angie. I-I hope I can see you all more often this year!"

With a little wave Charee turned to leave, skipping back to her room. She hoped to herself that she'd be able to get to know some of the girls better- maybe she'd eventually be able to express her true feelings to one of them. For now though, she'd just show them her sweeter side.
