"I must admit Ennoc, your generosity is quite a refreshing change." Sylette had an brow arched in surprise as Ennoc poured the wine, but she accepted the proffered goblet smoothly. Despite the fact her tastes were usually a little more, well, exotic than wine, she knew the value of Firebrand. She was surprised enough that Ennoc possessed such a vintage; she had thought the man labelled such materialistic goods as extravagance. Yet even more surprising was this act of kindness. It was undeniable that the two had come a long way since their first encounter.

Sylette raised the goblet in salute, her otherwordly eyes meeting Ennoc's over the rim of the cup. "Such generosity is fitting of a ruler, and a fortunate omen of what is to come. I drink to our success, both what has passed and what is to come."

"My generosity only extends to those who have proven themselves worthy of receiving it." As Ennoc brought the goblet to his lips he sat back down in his chair, leaning back and getting comfortable. He knew, after all, that they would be there a while talking and drinking.

Over the next couple of hours they went through his entire crate of firebrand as they discussed various subjects. Their conversations tended to range from battle plans to their own personal servants and underlings seeing as the fact remained that their force of vampires and necromancers was rather divided. The subjects of their past was carefully avoided by both individuals, perhaps each felt the other not being eager to discuss such a metter. The breton tended to repeat himself more and more as he got more and more drunk, Sylette on the other hand seemed to have no such issues.

Eventually, when Ennoc was about as drunk and as clouded in the head as one can get, the sun went under and the night fell over the swamps of Hjaalmarch. An undead ran in as messenger letting the two rulers of Bromjunaar know that their forces stand ready near the northern gate, well most of them anyway; Ennoc had his own set of troops to protect him, his own set of draugr, high ranking nobles of the Merethic era clad in ancient ebony.

He got up and tried to sober up as best he could before heading out with Sylette by his side, or perhaps he beside her, they couldn't afford to show their underlings that they weren't as unified as they made themselves out to be. Divided rulers tend to be taken advantage of and driven to civil war.

With the vampiric master at his side and a force of personal bodyguard draugr at his back they joined up with the army mustering near the main gate. The necromancers were eager to test their newfound methods of reviving undead and the vampires were thirsty for new blood. Their motives didn't matter, as long as they quietly obeyed orders and followed commands that's all that mattered.

This will become something worth reading eventually
