I really like superhero stuff. The Marvel wiki has 1,725 pages on different realities of the Marvel Multiverse, the DC Wiki has 315, so I added it up, and averaged it out to 1,020, but I just thought 1020 without the comma looked better. Anyway I'll try my best to explain below, and I sometimes have trouble explaining my ideas properly.

1. Earth - This Earth is set in the same year as our own, but is much different. This is both because of the obvious superhumans, and also the world in general, and its history is different. The history of Earth 1020 is largely the same aside from two Alien incidents, one of which happened thousands of years ago, and will be explained below. The other Alien incident happened May 11th, 1946. The Earth was invaded by a race of beings known as Vaus'Karn (Their Language, when translated to English) but referred to as Drainers by humanity in English.

The Drainers are a race of tall (averaging 7'5") asexual, Aliens. They have kind of a serpent meets arachnid, with some human thrown in kind of look. Their base seems human, but skeletally thin, which does not affect their strength, they are very strong, able to easily rip people apart. They possess tails, like that of a lizard. They have an exoskeleton, giving them a smooth/streamlined appearance. Their eyes have clear, lids and are pitch black, giving them a blank, staring face, with unblinking eyes. At first their mouths appear human, but when opened, their jaws stretch much wider, like a snake's mouth, and filled with shark like, teeth. Drainers have what look like stiff, spikes on their backs, four in total, somewhat resembling spider, legs. These "spikes" are actually flexible, and hollow at the tips, which they impale through their victims, and then drain their body fluids out, hence their name as Drainers.

The Drainers to put it simply, don't like humans. Their dislike is almost like an instinct. They react to humans, the way most humans react to snakes, and spiders. They just have this intense, disgust, and their immediate reaction to "squash" any human they see. In their minds we are gross, little, roaches, and they're the newspaper, wielders smacking us, before we spread any diseases.

To put it simply the Drainers attacked, and would have decimated humanity, if not for a fatal mistake. They utilized a Biological Weapon, a type of gas that affects DNA, and against past targets, it usually turned them into goop. When used against humanity however it would often cause spontaneous illnesses, but two percent, of humans when exposed to the gas, instead developed superhuman abilities. Humanity has always had these powers locked away, and the gas just brought it to the surface for some. Everyone's genes are unique which is why people developed different powers, rather than everyone having the exact same powers.

With super humans coming out, "supernatural" beings which do exist here, felt more comfortable about coming out in public.

The Drainers had less in numbers, but their superior technology meant they had a kill ratio of about 500+ humans for every 1 of them that died. In the end the War lasted 11 years. It ended with;

Humanity - Victory (Because the Drainers had exhausted too many resources to keep fighting.) Human casualties stood at an estimated 327+ million.

Drainer Casualties were estimated at about 80,000 (Their total numbers were estimated at 1 million+ In a continued war, they would have crushed humanity, they literally had to pull out due to resource concerns. Resources that simply could not be replenished quickly enough.)

Due to the war, the rest of our history went differently;

1. Super Powered People, became common.

2. The Soviet Union never fell, but are allies with the U.S. rather than enemies.

3. There is not a world government, but similar to Mass Effect there is a unified military called "The Union" that anyone of any country can opt to join. Individual nations still have their own militaries as well.

4. There is still a South Vietnam.

5. Vampires, Werewolves etc exist in the open, and researchers have figured out how to make a substitute for blood, so Vampires don't have to attack people.

6. The world is slightly more advanced. It's kind of like the Animated Batman series where some stuff looks dated, and other stuff is advanced. The Drainers were pretty tight, about keeping their technology to themselves, usually upon death, they would activate a kind of acid bath, to make sure their technology did not fall into human hands. As a result things like Vehicles, Computers, and Firearms are the same. We do however have small, super soldier programs, cyborgs exist, and our knowledge on things like bio-chemistry are higher hence the ability to make fake blood, that Vampires can consume.

The other "Aliens" I mentioned. A hyper advanced, race kind of like the Celestials of Marvel. In this world they are called The Progenitors. Anyway in Marvel, and DC there are aliens whom are very human looking, to the point of being indistinguishable. In this world The Progenitors are the reason for this. Thousands of years ago they abducted mass populations of other "Hominids;

Homo Erectus, Homo Floresiensis, Homo Heidelbergenis, and Neanderthals

These four species were relocated, and evolved differently, on the worlds they were dropped on. Similar to Kryptonians in DC they all evolved to eventually look like modern, humans, though certain traits may be retained, such as the race that came from Neanderthals may on occasion have a prominent forehead.

As for what they each became;

Homo Erectus are now referred to Stomians from the planet Stomia. The Stomians are the most similar to humans. They don't really have any special powers, and there are many countries, with different kinds of governments. They are slightly more advanced on the engineering side, they have things like energy weapons, and flying cars.

Homo Floresiensis became Lieovans from the planet Lieova. The Lieovans are like a race of humans as ants. They have a very "Socialist" kind of government, but it's like mixed with a matriarchy, women of a certain age, are looked to for guidance, Usually every city has a few, matriarchs. Their technology "specialty" is very life/agricultural based. Hunger does not exist on their world. They have purified their water sources, invented serums to render toxins/poisons harmless, basically they can eat, or drink any kind of wild animal, flower, fruit, vegetable etc. Their bodies are also different, and like Kryptonians they develop extreme, physical powers under the right conditions. For them their powers are not solar, but air based. A planet with the right mix of gases in the air like Earth grants them powers, like DC Kryptonians. Flight. super strength, super speed, enhanced durability.

Homo Heidelbergenis are now Keronians from Keron. They are not quite "super" human, but the average Keronian can lift 800 to 1,000+ pounds, in kilograms that's like 363 to 453 kilograms. In other words the average one of them is as strong as a Peak Human from Earth, and their own athletes are low, superhuman being able to press about 2-3 tons. They are a divided people, because of two conflicting government bodies. 54% of their world is under a "thin" government so to speak. It's like they have almost total freedom, but they still have cops, military, that kind of stuff. People are free just so long as their freedom does not harm others. The other 46% of the world is more strict, more laws, more rules etc. This isn't totally a bad thing, their larger government means things like less homeless people, more people with medical assistance etc.

Homo Neanderthalinsis have become Sharlings from Shars. The Shar people are more tribal, without a government really. Tribes can reach sizes of a few thousand members, and each has their own customs, and cultures. For the most part they all get along, and peacefully negotiate over resources. They have evolved to be Psychic, though usually they're weak. Most can only read minds via touching the person they wish to read, and telekinesis is usually like being able to open a door. Still about 1% of the population will develop stronger, abilities, on par with typical psychics in comics.

DC uses the term "Metahuman", and Marvel uses the word "Mutant". On Earth 1020 these people are called Extra's which is somewhat used an insult. The original meaning was just that they are people with extra abilities. However, some normal, and resentful humans use the term as meaning that they are like worthless, background characters, that shouldn't be there.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

In the interest of fairness I will create my OC, and city first.

Name: Tyler Matthew Daulins

Appearing Age: Most assume he's around 17 to 18 due to his youthful, facial features.

Actual Age: 32

Species: Artificially Evolved Human

Gender: Male

Alias: Shadow

Alignment: He wants to be good, but brutality makes him closer to being an Anti-Hero rather than a pure hero.

( If the OC is Neutral please state what kind of Neutral they are. A Mercenary may be called Neutral, but their actions would still bring them into conflict with the heroes )

Appearance: Tyler has the appearance of a lean, young man, standing five feet, and nine inches. His lithe appearance serves well to hide the fact that he's actually pretty strong. Tyler has a pale skin tone, not to the extent of an Albino, but at times people have mentioned he looks sick. He has reddish-brown hair, that is short with an unkempt appearance. Tyler as I said above is on the shorter side, he's about five feet, and one inch. Tyler's actual eye color is dark green, but most people think they are brown. He tends to dress in just whatever feels comfortable, usually a T-shirt, and sweat pants, or cargo pants.

Costume: Tyler's outfit as Shadow consists of a pair of boots, pants, long-sleeved, shirt, gloves, and full head, mask. The color of it is like a deep purple, mixed with black. The material of the costume has an organic look to it, so in lighter settings it makes him look like some kind of alien, whereas in darker settings, it makes him look like a literal shadow. The mask is faceless.

Skills;

1. Hand to Hand Combat Advanced, but he's also a cheater due to his powers.

2. Gadgetry Knowledge - Makes his own ( often crude ) gadgets.

3. Escape Expert

4. Stealth/Infiltration Skills partially aided by the costume.

5. Competent Computer Hacker.

6. Decent Marksmanship skills, of the realistic variety, he can't shoot people around corners like say DC's Deadshot, but he can handle a variety of firearms, and is fairly accurate with their appropriate ranges.

7. Gymnastics and Free Running

Powers: Tyler has been genetically enhanced, giving him a few advantages. These include;

1. Physicals - This one was difficult to figure out. Tyler is like low superhuman, but not super low. If he was in DC he would be stronger, and faster than either Midnighter, or Deathstroke. Both of whom are guessed to be in the 3-5 ton lifting range, and have bullet timing feats. Midnighter on occasion has tagged speedsters, but that's more of a reaction feat, than a flat out speed feat. The point is Tyler is above Midnighter's level, but a little beneath Spider-Man's.

2. Enhanced eyesight - He is able to see in the dark.

3. Electric Sense - Tyler can sense, kind of "feel" electricity, including impulses, of the nervous system. I said he cheats while fighting. Well it's because he can feel his opponent's nervous system, and react a split second, before they make their move. Rather or not he's actually strong enough, or fast enough to harm, or tag his opponent is circumstantial. There are of course going to be opponents that are simply too tough, or too fast for this ability to really make a difference for.

4. Ageless - He doesn't physically age, though he can be killed.

5. Low Regenerative Powers - He can heal cuts in minutes, and a broken arm in a few hours. That said he can't regrow entire limbs, his head, or organs.

6. Mind Power Immunity - Basically his ability to sense electrical senses, kind of scrambles his own brainwaves, making things like mind control, kind of useless against him.

Occupation: He works in a small, novelty item, shop.

Gear/Weapons: As a "vigilante" type of OC who can't just punch everyone into the sun, he does carry some gear.

His costume can keep him warm in harsh winters, and is flame retardant.

Shock absorbers in the boots allow him to move with near silence, which adds to his stealth skills.

Carried Gadgets are; His belt is made of the same material as his costume, so it's not a different color, and it also makes it look as if he pulls his items right out of his body. He has 8 gadgets, 4 non-fighting, and 4 combat oriented.

Not for combat, or at least harmless;

1. Multi-Purpose Pliers, basically a swiss army knife, but as a pair of pliers. It's assortment includes needle nose pliers, fine edged knife, serrated knife, Phillips driver, small/medium/large drivers, ruler ( 3-inches ), lanyard ring, bottle opener, can opener, nail file, wire cutters, wire crimper.

2. Makeshift Grappling Gun, that uses a steel cable.

3. Smoke Bombs that create a thick, lingering fog for about 30 seconds.

4. Distraction Stick - An audio stick that gives off sounds like foot steps, or a few coughs to lure/distract enemies.

Combat Gadgets are; His combat gadgets, tend to be situated among the level of his enemy.

1. Makeshift Pistol, I didn't say he was good with firearms as an afterthought. He actually has his own pistol, it fires marbles. It's not strong enough to kill, but it can leave nasty bruises/cuts, and chest/head shots can render a normal person unconscious.

2. Makeshift Tranqulizer - It's collapsible, and it fires six-inch spikes. These spikes are powerful enough to penetrate the flesh of low superhumans, in others words guys like Bane (jacked up on venom) Deathstroke, Midnighter etc. They are coated in a drug that causes the target to fall asleep.

3. Microwave Pulse Discs - Small, discs that are used for very powerful enemies. They emit a pulse of microwave radiation, that makes the nerves feel like they're being fried. It's very painful, and he only uses them on enemies that he absolutely can't risk anything else on.

4. Acid Capsules - He doesn't use these on people, they're more for like robotic enemies, melting a wall that he can't punch through, zombies/monsters.

Personality: Despite the "dark" costume, and his methods, Tyler is actually a pretty nice, person. Tyler has a very, internal focus, and tends to look at himself from how he believes others to view him. He is introspective, and deep, and it's not easy for him to come out. He has difficulty in expressing himself, on things that really matter, and truthfully most people don't have the slightest clue, about what goes on with him. Tyler is someone who likes harmony. His personal values, are the most important thing to him. Tyler is private, and never pushes his values on others. He believes that people should live consistently by their values, and to an extent holds others to this standard, while worrying about not living up to them himself. Tyler is a "global" thinker, and feels like his thoughts need to be connected to someone, or some value. He likes to discuss, and write things, because he has a lot in his head to bring out. Due to how introspective he is, Tyler is able to note his own flaws, such as he's aware of how sensitive he is, and also that he does not deal with being critiqued in the best manner. I'm saying he intimately aware of his flaws. Tyler feels that motivation comes from meaning, and value. If it is a personal value to him, then he goes all in, and gives whatever task he's doing everything he's got. Otherwise he tends to be kind of unfocused, and does just enough to pass by. Tyler has a strong individualist streak, to the point of where he even views suggestions as the other person trying to control him.

How he is explained shortly with others: When around others Tyler if they are not an enemy, tends to be quiet, but polite. He's often helpful, respectful, and has a nurturing personality. He works well with other heroes, and is not territorial. He's actually happy to enjoy the company, and as he does not compare himself to others, he doesn't feel a need to prove himself against more powerful, super humans.

I don't have a backstory yet, but it's good. I don't mean good, like I'm arrogant. I mean his childhood was decent. The super powers, are due to his mom. She was infertile, and signed up for a fertility treatment, that altered her genes, but did not give her super powers, but they did give him powers. Tyler's overall life was a pretty, decent one. His skills are because he took an interest in things like Martial Arts, and gymnastics from an early age, and his parents were supportive of this.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

You don't have to make your own city! You may join any Open areas, or use an existing city.

Name: Vaskan

State. Providence whatever it's located in: In the real world it would be located in Georgia.

Population: The estimate is at 7.84 million+ ( 7,846.392 )

Area in Square Miles Total: 357

Land Area in Square Miles: 245

Water Area in Square Miles:112

General Appearance or Vibe: It's got this kind of nightclub, cyberpunk look, with an industrial vibe. Pictures!

1. http://digitalart.io/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/future-city-slum-wallpaper.jpg

2. https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/originals/29/13/bd/2913bd926783f637b8a562773c0489d2.jpg

3. http://w.crisisforums.org/uploads/editor/s7/52lbu72ipyjx.jpg

Level of Government Corruption: ( How much crap does the hero have to deal with from their local government, police force etc? ) Very corrupt, estimated at 88 to 91% corruption.

Violent Crime Rate: Pretty high considering it's my "Gotham" I did a lot of math, that I don't feel like putting here. Anyway on a scale of 0 being no crime, and 10 being NUKE THIS CITY ALREADY! It's about a 7.8 to 8.3 out of 10 depending on how bad a particular year is.

Non-Violent Crime Rate: Non violent crimes, like computer hacking, house robberies etc are lower, but I'd still place them at around 4.6 to 5 out of 10.

If Violent Crime is high is it more organized, "Mafia" style, or is the city more chaotic, with disorganized, street gang crime: It's a mix for Vaskan. The three biggest, criminal enterprises vary in how organized they are. The names of these groups are;

1. Patchwork Associates - Unlike most criminal groups these guys are actually a sanctioned, mercenary company. They're a worldwide group, with bases in over a dozen countries. However, in recent years they've begun doing illegal activities, however trying to bring them down is very difficult, because of their government status. They are not all bad, like the entire organization only about 3% of them are on the "bad" side, it's just a part of that 3% operates in Vaskan. Any evidence against them tends to be shut down by official sources, and if it reaches the media the press is kind of in their pocket too, so they'll spin it. The ones operating in Vaskan are actually the smallest crime group, there's only about 70-80 of them total, but due to their connections, and training they have the most power.

2. The Society - This is the typical "Mafia" group. They have about 380 to 400 estimated members. While they don't have the connections of Patchwork, they are wealthy enough to bribe cops, and to an extent state officials. It's like the Hannibal movie said about Mason Verger "Not wealthy enough to buy a senator, but enough money to rent them from time to time."

3. The Rebels - They view themselves as the rebellion against a world that they feel doesn't accept them, hence their name. In truth however, they're pretty much a typical, street gang.

Notable Areas;

1. Sin Tower it's real name is Springward Prison. It's a maximum security facility. Unlike a typical prison, it has this kind of towering, sky scraper, appearance. It's also secretly run by Patchwork Associates, but this is a secret in the verse. It's okay for us to know, but characters in the story probably won't.

2. Charlie Wolfe Wellness Institute - The resident "insane" asylum. In spite of everything it's actually a nice place. They are not barbaric, and they treat their patients with kindness. Staff who apply here even have to pass multiple, tests concerning ethics to make sure they won't be abusive. As well as mental tests to make sure they have a lower chance of being manipulated by smarter inmates.
