Hmm... That sounds good. Though he's going to have to belong to one of the five lineages that have magic.

Alright, right now, as it stands, the character's history is implausible. The Angels are Celestial Beings to begin with, brought into creation by YHWH. Humans that die don't turn into Angels, they just turn into slaves to the Heavenly Host.

Hello, I've read all of your story and its information... it took me a good two hours or so! I really like the idea and want to be part of it. Are new characters still welcome to join the story?

Thank you very much. I apologize for the crapton of information, but that's just how I worldbuild. Anywho, yes, characters are indeed still welcome to join. I have yet to create my own too.

Name: Cassius
Age: Appearance of mid to late twenties
Gender: Male
Race: Angel
Nationality: N/A
Personality: Dogmatic, calculating, assertive, charming, curious
Appearance

  • Height: On the taller side
  • Weight/Body Build: More muscular than average
  • Hair: Blonde with sparse streaks of brown on the sides, thick, medium-short, straight
  • Facial Hair: Usually clean-shaven
  • Eyes: Cold, pure blue and delicately deep-set with low brows
  • Peculiar Physical Traits: There is peculiarity in his physical perfection
  • Voice: Modulated and devilishly pleasant
  • Usual Walking Styles: Sure-footed
  • Mannerisms: Straightening his tie, checking his watch, putting his hands in the front pockets of his slacks, or some other grooming tendency
  • Typical Taste in Attire: Business suits with tie, pleated pants and a pair of cap-toed oxfords
History: During the great rebellion, one angel approached his ruling Dominion and asked, "I wish to serve the creator beyond my duties as mediator to his earthly creation."
The greater entity returned to him and communicated, "Everyone serves a purpose, Cassius. You are one of my most beloved angels. I have made you perfect in every way to fulfill these tasks."
This was the message that was relayed to him from the creator.
He, Cassius, was never meant to ascend through the ranks of the holy army. His place was by the dirt; albeit, a place in the dirt that served a great purpose. Yes, his place for eternity and eons thereafter. This is where he has been before time could even recall itself. On the other hand, although he has always held the same rank, his area of government in the world as a pawn has changed more than once. Recently-in the human sense, that is-Cassius has begun walking among leagues of hockey-loving Canadians. Or at least that's what he's come to believe these humans of the region are.
Additional

  • Downfalls: Although often independent in his own thoughts and actions, he unwittingly strives to seek approval from whom he serves. He has yet to discover how utterly brainwashed he is. A waving flag of heteronomy is staked at his side, but it is unknown how much longer time will pass until he finally acknowledges it.
  • Opinion of Humans:A faithful and loyal servant never questions his master. At least never to anyone's knowledge. His lord commanded Cassius to serve him and humans. Was Cassius not closer to his lord? Was he not more pure? Although capable of acts detestable to his lord, he has never acted upon it. Yet, they, the humans, committed the acts exponentially by the day and with growing willfulness. Why was he to serve such vile creators? They needed to be controlled. These humans are incapable of autonomy and must be stripped of free will...
...

... Or is it he who has been stripped of free will?

Romulus: Awesome work, approved!

Malakyee: You're getting there. xD. I think you missed the point that humans cannot become Angels. Also, mind-reading is practically impossible unless the choir-master was willing enough to draw up the sigil for it, which happens to be a 7-circle sigil. Now what you can do is make it so that Mariangela becomes a Familiar Spirit who manages to bind itself to a human... She might end up with a split personality but that's the closest plausible route for the story you're trying to create. xD. *points to extensive OOC: Other Creatures*

One way to make it work: Mariangela is a human soul who has ascended into heaven only to be faces with an eternity of slavery. She frequently asks why she's being made to do menial labor in heaven and they always give her a half-baked response. She frequently asks why and slowly comes to the realization that there is something up. She manages to escape Heaven and becomes a Familiar spirit who, while still loyal to the Lord, thinks that something fishy is going on. Well, that's just my take on it, but read the extensive OOC and maybe you can figure something out. :D.

Anyway, I don't mean to restrict your creativity, but there are certain principles to be followed in this RP.

I am myself. I am going to make a character as soon as I finish the homework I have for English. xD.

Name: Alexandre Ethan "Alex" White<div style="float:right;margin-left:8pt;width:25%;height:25%;"><img src=http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x167/goldendercon/Guy4b_zps8f3af175.jpg></div>
Age: 27
Gender: Male
Race: Were-lion
Nationality: English Canadian

Personality:
Overly-protective of those he holds dear, otherwise he is aloof. He has seen what humans can do to each other and when that happens, the instinctive compulsion to help gets mulled up because sometimes things aren't as they seem, so he has issues trusting other humans. He approaches his job as a detective with grim humor and sarcasm just because he thinks being melancholy and serious about it won't help as much.

He is extremely protective of the gilded dagger that he keeps locked up at home. It was given to him by a deceased lover and it has a sigil on it. He doesn't know magic or how to read sigils, so he can only hope that his lover knew what he was doing when he gave it to Alexandre.

Appearance: Not clear in the picture, but he has golden-blonde hair(mostly because he's a were-lion) and piercing brown eyes

History:
Alexandre is a part of the largest pack of were-creatures in Vancouver, the Ile de Vancouver Pack. It was originally composed only of French Canadian were-creatures, but has since then expanded to include 60% of Vancouver's were-creature populations. Alexandre was born and raised in Vancouverand hasn't left it much his entire life save to invesitigate high-profile cases.

Early on a different kind of inquisitiveness(a burning, insatiable one) was discovered in Alexandre and through his education, it flourished even more. The pack had established schools that were to be free of religion and were focused on improving students' natural talents so that's where Alex went for most of his life. He breezed through school, never the highest, but never the lowest either. He was also laid back for the most part, but he had a good work ethic that allowed him to finish work quickly.

He graduated university and was instated in the investigative force of the Vancouver Police Department and quickly gained the awe and envy of many of his colleagues, as well as the ire of some because of his incessant asking and endless lists of questions that had to be run down before he was satisfied. The teams he was on usually succeeded in pinning down criminals.

He has only ever failed to find a criminal in one case: that of his lover of four years, Jason. In days prior to his death, Jason became much more affectionate, but at the same time, warned Alexandre of terrible things to come. Jason was of strong Irish blood and magic ran in his veins, a special kind of magic too, that of foresight. He was burdened by it, but he never let Alexandre in on anything he saw. Alexandre came home after a particularly long day of work only to see Jason kneeling on the floor in a pool of his own blood.

Jason fell over and Alexandre rushed to grab him. The gilded dagger was pushed into his hand at that moment. "Everything you see now has happened before. An endless cycle of birth and rebirth. Each time the cycle renews itself, small things change the course of events, the victor in the coming conflict. The cycle has been broken. This is the last time. Make it count." said his lover, and they talked, Alex grieving but Jason comforting, until he finally passed away.

Name: David Stark
Age: 37
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Nationality: Dual citizenship of America and Canada
Personality: David is a cynical, mild-mannered and in general rather foul-mouthed. The hospitality and overall courtesy of Canada has not rubbed off him at all, despite having lived there for quite a while.

History:
David grew up in a family of patriots. His father had fought in both Korea and Vietnam, and after coming back had joined the police force to continue contributing to his country after the more indirect Cold War came on. Unbeknownst to David and his two brothers, his father turned crooked half a decade into his service, having been disillusioned by the way criminals have walked away just because of a minor technicality or money that changed hands rather quickly under the table. His father had turned to tolerating small-time criminals, extorting 'protection money' from them and having them become informants for him, creating his own grapevine in the underworld that helped him catch the bigger fish.

Whenever he could, David's father didn't arrest them - he got rid of them. He always had an excuse, though. He knew full well that these men he went after were hardened criminals who could fight, so he never walked away unscathed and he used that to his full advantage. However, he did not get away with this easily. In the middle of the night David's mother was taken and they never heard from her, not for a month. Until the body parts started arriving in the mail over the course of four weeks. And then somehow his superiors found out about the extortion and other less than legal activities.

Put into foster care, David and his siblings were separated. His idea of his father being a hero, a shining beacon of light that pierced through the darkness of Chicago's underworld was shattered into a million pieces. Without parental guidance or even the care of his older brothers David got through his childhood and teenage years with a mixture of bad grades and scraped knuckles. They had tried to bully him, the other kids in the foster homes but he beat them. He lost at first, and he was the one being beaten but he got better and better every time he got up - he always did, and it wasn't the same case for them.

It was this - lack of support from the state and the fact that he was bullied that renewed faith within him of what his father had done. He didn't blame his father, not any more. After learning the full story of what his father did, the gangsters he killed and whatnot David considered his father a hero once more, and took off in his footsteps.

In his first year with the police, David discovered the existence of the occult, of magic. He had been investigating a series of grisly murders, and had managed to corner the killer in the alley after a long chase but ... The man just wasn't human. He couldn't get a proper shot on the person, he always seemed to be somewhere else when he managed to move his gun. A simple smack was all it took for David to fly backwards into a wall with a painful case of cracked ribs.

Just as he was about to be finished off with his own gun - he had already heard the hammer fall, and saw the trigger being pulled but the bullet never hit him. There was a shimmering barrier that erupted before him and the bullet stopped in mid-air, before bouncing off. Whilst his would-be killer looked around in surprise, a wooden stake erupted from the center of his chest.

The man that had saved him from what he later learned was a vampire was an elderly mage of the Judaic Kabbal, named Saul. Although not part of the religion itself, his father having forsaken it before he joined the army the magic that ran through his veins had been slightly diluted. He was more than a man, but definitely less than a full-fledged mage, though not by much. Learning under Saul, David delved into the branch of magic where he learnt to carve sigils into objects that he kept about himself, seeing as his late education in magic and day job with the police had left him little time to practice casting on-the-spot magic.

He learnt under this man for almost ten years before Saul died of natural causes. David was the only man at the funeral and he had seen to it as per Saul's wishes, in the manner of his own religion.

He moved to Toronto, Canada soon after due to a job transfer, having passed the bar exam to become a detective a few years ago. The police force tolerates his rudeness and disrespect for authority based on his track record - with magic cases became so much easier to solve and he had racked up a file cabinets of completed cases and complaints over the years.

Magic: David owns multiple items that has sigils carved into them and ready to use once he evokes their incantations.

A bracelet made up of tiny shields joined up by chain-links are worn on his wrist. When evoked, an invisible shield that provides defence against most attacks, magical or physical would come forth. However, the danger with using this shield was that there is no restraint to it when it comes to drawing power from within David. If the attack received is underestimated the shield would most definitely block it, though the power that would be removed from him would be enormous and would probably render him comatose or dead. Such an example would be the explosion of a land mine. Due to the nature of such magic, the shields on his bracelets will curl up, as if warped by heat and eventually fall off with use. There are a total of twelve mini-shields hanging from the bracelet and each shield is able to handle up to about seven shots from a standard 9mm. Another item would be a Hand of Glory.

Smuggled from the morgue, David has turned the hand of a felon into the dreaded magical item and when activated it would provide light to him, and only him even in the darkest of places. The candles at the tip of the fingers would also begin to flicker if there were to be someone he did not know about in that place with him. The Hand of Glory has a 'battery time' of approximately twenty-four hours and David has about two hours left inside it.

David carries an oversized lighter which he claims to have bought as a souvenir from "some foreign country" but actually he uses the size in order to carve sigils into it. The lighter, when evoked can either fire out balls of fire or streams of it - basically the fire that it shoots is shaped by David's own will and it burns off magic instead of lighter fluid, so David still uses it to light up his cigarettes any way. Aside from the degradation of the object, it is also extremely volatile and if David uses it when he runs low on magical juice he risks having it explode in his hands to rather disastrous results.

Additional Notes: David has recently been diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease, something he keeps from the police force.
