ABILITIES
Magic: Pyromancy
Kirisnoti's Gift is the ability to manipulate fire - specifically, his own 'internal fire'. His body generates a ridiculous amount of heat, which he can expel through his skin, usually localized to his hands and/or feet. This heat is intense enough to melt metal, and crack stone. He occasionally even uses it to blast into the air - although this is a very short distance. He can also expel
actual fire, although this is considerably tough on his body. If he is to do this, the easiest way is to breathe it, not unlike a dragon.
Drawbacks:
He's flame-resistant, particularly towards his own flames, but not fire
proof. He can still be burned, which is why expelling actual flame is dangerous. Going as far as to expel actual flames typically burns him after a few minutes, sometimes after only a few
seconds depending on how intense the flame. His hands are horribly scarred from doing it in the past, and usually, after breathing flame, his throat and voice are rough and raw; his voice has gotten progressively lower and rougher over the years and not because of puberty. He, and the healers he's consulted with, suspect that he is slowly burning away his vocal cords. There may come a day when he loses his voice entirely.
He cannot control any flames he himself has not generated, and he's only mildly more flame-retardant than your average person when it comes to being burned by outside flames. And while he is considerably resistant to localized heat, as in, if he were to face a pyromancer similar to him, his skin would not blister or burn faced with intense heat. But in all other cases, he's actually
more sensitive to the heat.
Since he's already burning at a higher temperature than the average human, placing him in a heated environment which raises his temperature even
more can be dangerous for him. He risks heat-stroke when overusing his Gift, but he also risks heat-stroke in hot weather.
Abilities:
Kirisnoti is an excellent tactician, trained and experienced in combat. His mothers, Ireindel and Niserie have been teaching him combat training since he was incredibly young - roughly around the age of eight. He's trained in hand to hand combat, throwing knives, capable of effectively using just about every sword the Drohaelca produce (which is a fair amount), and even archery. He's even taken it on himself to learn the fighting style each and every tribe he's visited.
His mothers, similarly, taught him extensive battle tactics, and he has become quite the skilled tactician.
Kirisnoti is an excellent public speaker, naturally charming, and finds it fairly easy to find the right words - and when he doesn't, he's remarkably skilled at fixing his mistakes. Or just lucky.
Weaknesses:
Kirisnoti is the least stealthiest person alive. Quiet? He doesn't know her. It's near impossible for him to stay quiet, or to sit in quiet; he
needs to fill the silence with words. If he's really pressed, weird sounds. Every attempt of the Al'Voxis tribe to teach him their stealthy ways ended with him being attacked by a wild animal because he couldn't be quiet and drew it's attention to him, or because he fell out of the tree. Kirisnoti much prefers the direct attack. It shows more courage anyways.
Speaking of Kirisnoti's inability to stay still or be quiet, he has ADHD, and all the struggles that come with such a disorder. He struggles with regulating his attention span, is forgetful, and easily distracted, loses things often, struggles to control his impulses, etc. This also doesn't necessarily mean he's always unable to focus - he also undergoes bouts of hyperfocus, which lead him to disregard
everything in favor of the one thing he's focused on, including his own needs.
He also struggles with reading and writing, having the equivalent skills of a fourth-grader. Learning something as "boring" as how to read and write is very hard for him, plus he didn't need to learn, and wasn't capable of learning the skill, till he was 27.
Not the greatest at long-distance attack; his archery and knife-throwing skills are mediocre.
