History

The importance of blood purity was always kept high within the Quinn family. Disgusted by the very thought of sharing their glorious destinies with muggle-borns. Members of the Quinn family have fallen into rebellion as they found themselves on the against of muggle-born witches and wizard policies. Such pure blood views had caused many problems for the Quinn family in the past, but they weren’t going to change such thoughts because of some simpletons.

Quinns’ were the respective members of the serpent house of Hogwarts, Slytherin. Morrigan Silvaria Quinn just turned twelve when she was sorted into Slytherin, views and thoughts towards half-breeds and muggle born witches or wizards already established in the girl’s personality. Her parents two loyal followers of the Dark Lord, and heir apparent to Slytherin besides his weakling cousins of the Gaunt family. Morrigan passed through her years at Hogwarts swimmingly, a pride to her family as she completed the task of watching Persephone Gaunt from a distance.

Morrigan’s Task: To watch the last Gaunt child, and see if she could possibly be any use to the Dark Lord. Try to confirm if possible if the girl inherited the blood-born trait of the family, being a Parselmouth, as it had skipped her father’s generation.

Observations went all according to what the Dark Lord had assumed for his cousin. Morrigan admired the power the young witch had, and undoubtedly noted that she truly would be a great asset to the Death Eaters their cause. Yet, Quinn’s knew that the girl’s ties to family wouldn’t possibly make her assist them. Thus, upon completing her trails to become a full Death Eater, in her sixth year at Hogwarts. Morrigan hatched a plan to rid her of the challenge of obtaining Persephone Gaunt’s allegiance, planning the murder of her entire family, and the torture of the apparent Heiress of Slytherin.

Recruitment of another student from Hogwarts, the young woman was tasked with the role of a watchful eye. Thinking of tests to truly match the new recruit’s loyalty and connections with others of lower value in the vision of the Dark Lord.

Firstly, Morrigan put her plans into action for the Gaunt family, with the assistance of her friends that she acquired. The Dark Witch didn’t take care of her parents leaving that to a more practised Death Eater. She engaged in the torturing of Persephone Gaunt by the use of one of the unforgivable curses, the Cruciatus Curse. After destroying her wand in a one-on-one confrontation. The duel lead her to a wound over her right eye like a gash, as her mask cracked and cut her face in the light duel before the torture commenced.

After leaving the residence of the now fallen branch of the Gaunt family, Morrigan recalled fondly to her partners in the crime that she; “Had never felt so alive in her life. The Dark Lord should be deeply pleased with our efforts…” For a normally quiet and calculating being, this was the first time Morrigan Silvaria Quinn had voiced her sadistic thoughts for the very first time. Rewarded in a strengthening position within the ranks of the Death Eaters by her actions, and not getting caught the young woman became further confident of her thoughts towards plans for the Heiress of Slytherin when she got back to Hogwarts.

“I’ll have her cleanse the halls of Hogwarts of the mud-bloods, so when you make your presence upon the grounds of Hogwarts… You won’t have to gaze upon such filth, my Lord.” Morrigan promised, before setting off to prepare for her final and most eventful year ahead at Hogwarts. Upon the travel to Hogwarts, the pupil of darkness reminded herself of her last four missions at Hogwarts that year.

  1. Test the allegiance and loyalty of their new recruits.
  2. Get Persephone Gaunt to fall into line and follow the Dark Lord’s wishes.
  3. Re-open the Chamber of Secrets through the use of Persephone Gaunt, and cleanse Hogwarts of Muggle-Born filth.
  4. Survive.

Personality

||Sadistic||

Morrigan since childhood had shown taken pleasure in the discomfort, and upset of others. Believed to be due to the nature of her parents, she didn't hold any notion of love or care like most children would. It started with bullying her younger siblings, twins that hadn’t quite the normal personality of the Quinn family. Further developing when Morrigan entered Hogwarts and started watching her targets from a distance. Full peak of her sadistic personality was noted during the time she used the Cruciatus Curse against Persephone Gaunt in the break of 1975.

||Calculating||

Like an animal stalking her prey, Morrigan watches her targets from a distance. Calculating if they’d be effective or a downfall if they were to join the Death Eaters. Being the watching eye for the Dark Lord in a place that he couldn’t control some of his followers, Morrigan feeds reports of betrayal, or ill-status creatures bringing down their cause, back to the Death Eaters to do their Lord’s bidding.

||Loyal||

Having full beliefs in the eyes of what Lord Voldermort wishes, and his vision for the new order within the Wizarding World. Morrigan follows and completes all tasks and missions that she has been given to the highest level of efficiency.

Morrigan Quinn
Mentions: | First Year Students - NPC | Newspaper Club Members; Rory Thomson & Deborah Johnson - @Adrian |

There was never many positive things to describe the character of Morrigan Quinn, she was a presence of unpleasantness to many. The moment she carried herself onto the train the darker eyed witch could feel the silence in the air, almost like looming death. All interactions close to her had ceased for a few moments as she carried herself through the crowd with one trained eye- the other bandaged away due to a wound sustained.

Her long short black hair fell at strong shoulders, and met her perfectly tailored uniform newly fitted for her final year. She was rather typical for a pureblood with money and stature- holding the ancient level of prejudice towards half-bloods and muggle-borns. Though, Morrigan often held a cold and haunting gaze at couples as she crossed their path- some unlucky ones got hexed too if they made a habit of having themselves seen.

Morrigan settled herself down into a compartment already preoccupied by a few first year students by the look of their attires and stupidly giddy attitudes. The compartment was filled with too much busy chatter to notice the witch, who cast silent judgement on the gossiping first years. She cleared her throat with a loud and clear cough, merely trying to gain the attention of the gits before her. When one caught her gaze, Morrigan felt a sense of disgust come over her in reminder of her weaker siblings who weren’t Slytherins.

“Oh, you’re an older student! I’m-,” stated one of the first years leaning forward in a peak of interest.

“Get out, this compartment is reserved. I’m meant to be meeting other members of the Newspaper club here. Don’t impose.” Morrigan commented with a sharpness of her tongue, spitting venom. She watched as the students nervously rose from their seating and made their way out the door, leaving her to rest back and sigh. “First years… A bitter headache all of them.” Morrigan said regarding her composure with a scoff of disgust.

History:
Pedro Rowan Omar Govanni was born between a English pure-blood witch and an Italian merchant. Making him a mix between the magical world, and muggle-world. Being his father's discovery into the wizarding world, Pedro's father grew an interest in his wife's secret life that she was forced to hide. All-and-all, the gifts that the little Govanni boy was granted from his mother's genetics brought his family closer.

Growing up in a modest area, Pedro never saw children like him, not until the Harrison family moved into the house across the street. At the time he remembered his muggle grandfather sitting on the porch, scoffing at the number of red heads pouring out of the cars. 'They were largest number of carrot tops' his grandfather ever saw in one gathering. Young Pedro didn't truly care about them too much, as he sat there on the grass watching the family move into the house, few carrying personal boxes in hand. Even a girl no older than him by one or two years. Unlike her siblings, this carrot top didn't seem to have the ratty features like the others. Even upon meeting her better at her family's introduction did Pedro notice her gem-blue doe like eyes, and bubbly nature.

She was named Lauren Harrison, affectionately called Laurie, but to him she was his Carrot Top.

It didn't take long for the Carrot Top to transfer to his local primary school, being two years above him. He always thought her bubbly nature would cause her to be popular, but all in truth she wasn't. Carrot Top didn't fit in. Even with her siblings it seemed, as she was often hiding up on the roof at night sleeping to a local stray that plagued the area for years.

Pedro was quite a troublemaker during this time of Lauren's moving into the neighbour, and the new girl just had to be his next target. He went to all levels and extremes to scare the poor girl, even gifting her a frog during her a toad one birthday. Much to his surprise stupid Carrot Top adored the bloody thing, named him Rowan almost to get back at him, not that it really harmed him. Almost flattered the boy that someone named something after him.

Over the years his teasing did really begin to test Lauren, and finally all imploded when Pedro dared to try kill Rowan, Carrot Top's beloved toad. Truly, it wasn't him though. It was a spell he'd learnt all by himself, to cast the image of Rowan. The next thing he knew, he was vomiting up slug's in his backyard, as a puffy-eyed Lauren Harrison stared at him. Sniffling.

Pedro had met and learnt of his first muggle-born witch, his neighbour of two years. A girl he secretly admired, but was told 'you tease the girls you like'. He never knew she was an actual witch! Someone just like him. Vomiting up slugs didn't seem half-bad, after-all he had met his first witch other than his mother.

Of course, everything changed after that his 'play-mate' no longer hung around, and the whole Harrison family grew distance after the incident involving slugs. Time flew quick enough that Pedro Govanni even got his own letter to Hogwarts, believing himself superior in more levels than one when it came to his abilities as a wizard. Pedro's trouble-making attitude, and head-strung personality found him sorted into Gryffindor. Leading to the delightful surprise of meeting Laurie again, but she was a Hufflepuff, a Badger and he a Lion.

In his five years since attending Hogwarts, Pedro grew a decent crowd around him, though hung by one friend as troublesome as he. His magic improved, and the relationship that he hoped to rope Lauren into was slipping away from him. So much was riding on him for this next year, he had tried so hard to make her sob, and turn into a ball of mush since arriving. He couldn't possibly not have her cave in before she graduates... She's a Hufflepuff for Christ's sake!

But he didn't only have pranks planned for the Hufflepuffs, but anyone and anything that got in his and his friend's way.

Patronus:
Tiger -The tiger is a very strong, independent patronus. They have a fierce personality to them that they show openly, and have no problem doing it. However, there is more to them than just an impression, they have parts of their past that are a bit dark, and that has caused them to grow a bit cynical. They don’t like to show their feelings to others, as they like to maintain the impression for themselves and for others that they are unbreakable. They are not fast to warm up to anyone, but once they do they will protect you with all that they have. The most common house for a tiger patronus is Slytherin. The most common signs are Gemini and Aquarius. Source

Piper Ryeland

Seventh Year, Hufflepuff

Mentions: Lauren Harrison - @Bubbly Potions , Rowan the Toad - NPC & Nibbles - NPC
Interactions: Nibbles - NPC

Piper had arrived early to the party, or what she had thought would be early. She hadn't gone to any of the Hogwarts parties in all her years at the school, always coming up with a reason why she shouldn't go. (Usually, because she was more interested in hanging out with whatever creature she'd come across that day.) However this was her last year at Hogwarts and as her father had told her "It's not something you're going to be able to do again, so make the most of it." So she was going to do just that. Which was why she had attempted to arrive before too many people arrived so she could ease into a comfortable enough state before having to deal with huge crowds of people. She'd had no such luck.

The party had been in full swing by the time she arrived as if everyone had the exact same idea as her. Did no one arrive fashionably late any more? Clearly not. She was so strung up on nerves that poor Nibbles was being held in a vice-like grip, she was glad it wasn't something that wouldn't hurt him because she couldn't have loosened her hold even if she'd tried.

There were witches and wizards everywhere, dancing, chatting or just sitting around doing nothing but eating and drinking. "Oh...what have I gotten myself into," She whispered to herself. She nervously lifted Nibbles to her shoulder so he could be free of the danger of her hands and hide beneath her hair as he liked to; she was sure he was always disappointed when he found nothing in her hair, that never seemed to stop him, however. As her nervous gaze fluttered around the room she caught sight of Lauren and the little cutie Rowan. Releasing a soft breath of determination, she headed that way. Maybe she'd get a chance to treat the beloved toad. With that in mind, she took a plate of brownies and slid into a free seat, mouth already stuffed with one and chewing hard. She didn't even draw her hand away as the long tongue slid from her shoulder and licking at the crumbs dusting her fingers. She was already lifting another brownie to her lips, attempting to eat away her nerves. Completely unaware of just how well they would work.

Cyrus Grey
Seventh Year, Gryffindor
PERSONALITY
Cyrus much like her brother who took after their father's larrikin personality often at times showing a boisterous and badly behaved side of her. This apparent disregard for the conventions of the British Wizarding World has landed the girl in a world of trouble a number of times since entering Hogwarts. Although, she's often quick to wit or stubbornly holding back her own opinions Cyrus has the character of a good friend and expresses high levels of the popular Australian idiom of Mateship which embodies; equality, loyalty and friendship.

Her intellect though lacking in some subject she makes up for in Transfiguration studies.

Cyrus has a brave and stubborn heart which often could render her in more trouble than worth for intentions she seems solely stuck on. For these instances often involve the violation of her friend's rights something that doesn't sit well with her ideals of equality. Though gentle in appearance she's not as gentle physically due to her temper and passionate drive when things aren't right. The girl often finds herself playing a very rough game of Quidditch if it's been a bad day because it helps her vent frustrations.

BIOGRAPHY
Cyrus was born between a couple that loved each other dearly and held very high pride for one another— even though their different status. Her mother was a pureblood witch from the Australian family of Thornheart a famed house that held form the nation full of hidden witches and wizards everywhere. To add to the list of her mother's achievements she was a star Quidditch player reaching so far to join the Australian National Quidditch team. Phaedra Grey at the time had her young children watching on from the sidelines, Cyrus and Jasper.

The prior history to Phaedra Thornheart meeting her husband— muggle, James Grey was looked down upon by her family. In their opinion, she should have been marrying into a more wealthy and dominant wizarding family with Pureblood heritage. Yet, stubbornness seemed to run in their mother's blood just as much as it did Jasper and Cyrus because she didn't listen to the warnings of her family and kept seeing the muggle in question. James Grey was a famous member of the Port Adelaide Football team, but through a tour, he happened to meet a beautiful young woman in the city of Perth, Western Australia and the rest was history.

The discovery of Phaedra's pregnancy was largely frowned upon by her noble family but James didn't mind at all. To much dispute of the Thornheart family, James Grey married the woman of his dreams and began to set up a life for them. Nothing seemed to break them down, even the fact that he quickly learnt that his new wife was a witch and a rather famous one at that. Although there were hassles of adjustment with James when the children were born and there was an already presence of their magic the man coped with the undying support of his wife.

For the sake of Jasper and Cyrus growing up and being able to have a sense of freedom, the pair moved out to the rural country town of Brookton. This gave the children to use their magic and learn to ride on broomsticks at a young age. One of Phaedra's favourite photographs of her children would be when Cyrus used a garden rake one day instead of a broom because she couldn't find it. It was a very proud moment indeed.

Cyrus and Jasper decided to take the opportunity of going to Hogwarts in Europe during their first year of Witchcraft and Wizardry education. Furthermore parting ways with their parents a taking the steps towards their future in a more independent manner. Both of the Grey siblings were sorted into the Gryffindor upon arrival and excelled in their certain subjects. Cyrus's most prominent and skilled subjects were; Transfiguration, Potion, Herbology and Charms. She gained such a vast nack for Transfiguration that in her late third year she learnt that she could turn herself into a Dusky Hopping Mouse— thus she was an animagus.

APPEARANCE
Cyrus bears a strong resemblance to her mother in physical appearance, most notably her face structure and how her hair naturally falls. She's considered rather average in height; standing at five foot and four inches tall— the common height for young women in Australia. In comparison to other girls, she's still considered quite tanned against the European heritage of the larger number of her peers.

Her eyes are an asset that comes from her father's side of the family— they're a honey brown shade with deeper shades of brown around the pupil of her eye. Cyrus's hair is a shade of mousey brown after large amounts of sun-bleaching due to her long periods of being outside when she returns home from Hogwarts at the end of each year.

A large quantity of Cyrus's clothing is paler in colour due to the different climate that she's used to in Australia. Helping herself from overheating back at home she normally finds herself wearing cream clothes that breathe easier— the fabric choice often being cotton for her because of the breathable status that cotton has. Cyrus isn't afraid to appear rather unfeminine in her work jeans, boots and an oversized flannel workshirt to keep herself warm on the colder days at Hogwarts.

tumblr_oy1cjf0Yr11sq1xo4o1_1280.jpg

Cyrus didn't plan for her night to start like this— being chased around by a cat in the Room of Requirement. The cat, Salem happened to Morrigan Quinn's prized feline and the Australian half-blood learnt why very quickly in her mousy form. Making her best effort Cyrus dashed past the pet's sadistic counterpart but that didn't stop Salem despite protest to his owner. Who yelled out for Rory Thomson to chase after the bloody cat. "Rory can you catch that damned cat, he's found a mouse!" Morrigan yelled from Cyrus's perfectly sensitive hearing could pick up.

In a hop like movement, Cyrus managed to pass the infamous runner of the Newspaper club. Salem was hot on her fuzzy tail causing her tiny little heart to beat so hard it ached. Come on, you gotta hang in there, Cy! She thought words of encouragement to herself, a chaste breath leaving her pained lungs. The Gryffindor's big black eyes scanned and surveyed the scene finding a place to tuck away into to shift back to her normal self.

Cyrus slid into a corner of the wall and squeaked bitterly. She refused to quiver in fear at the sight of the howling meow of Salem as the beastly black cat drew closer and closer. In a deep breath and sharp exhale Cyrus Grey thought of herself once more in her mortal body. The shift was almost instant and clearly practised. No longer the weak little mouse but the Leader of both Charm Club and Gryffindor Dueller's Society.

Salem stopped in his tracks looking at her in awe shock, his little green eyes didn't know what to believe. She stood in mousy brown flats and a cream wrap dress. Her light brown hair fell loose over her back, except only for one tuff that was plaited and resting over her right shoulder. In annoyance, she leant down at the black cat and hissed back at the hateful creature. "Rack off you beastly creature before I plant my foot up your arse, and skin ya for a pelt." Cyrus snapped bitterly feeling a little worse for wear from the whole ordeal. Unknown to her was it that someone else had caught onto her little secret.

Ivar Ragnulf
Sixth Year, Ravenclaw
PERSONALITY
Ivar is often regarded as the quiet figure that lingers in the corner, he never really has much to say. Though, when he does he's never one to make others feel out of place or lonely. He's a kindred spirit with a heart of gold— an aspect he gets from his muggleborn mother.

At first impressions unforunately people tend to get the wrong idea of him and shy away. It's something that deeply saddens Ivar that he can't make strangers feel comfortable around him, but he is grateful that a few of his friends understand him and haven't made reservations about his appearance.

When friends with Ivar— he's rather charming and always open to advise. He's a bit of a counsellor type, and big brother.

BIOGRAPHY
Raised in a modest household by a single mother after an accident killed his father. Ivar was taught the basics of his magic heritage from a young muggle woman who had a squib in her family line— this woman was his mother. She was a loving and caring woman that loves all life around her. Ivar had ended up inheriting her love for all forms of life also, often helping her brew herbal remedies as a boy.

As a formal surprise, his mother had been working hard to play for Ivar to go to Hogwarts— where his father before him studied. On the day of his eleventh birthday was when the news came of his acceptance. He refused for a time terrified of the thought that his mother would be on her own. In end, his mother's wishes won his heart and he followed them to Hogwarts.

He was an awkward first year in the beginning due to his strong language barrier with other students. But, luck seemed to change for him when he met the Grey siblings. A bunch that taught him to embrace the personalities and aspects of him that he was scared of for a time. His group of friends slowly grew with them in time also— and he couldn't have been more grateful to his mother.

Each end of the year he'd take home a present from his journies to remind her of the effort he put in to meet her's and his late father's dream from him.

Thestral — The second most rare patronus, only an unusual individual could produce a thestral.

Thestral patronus can be seen by even those who have no been close to death. This is due to them being summoned by a Charm and under the control of a witch or wizard.

Those with the Thestral patronus are gentle at heart and kind to those around them.

Those with this patronus have an understanding nature and will often make others feel like they are on the same wavelength.
If this is your patronus you may find people around you open up to you with things they have told nobody else.

Having such a gentle nature does make people with the Thestral sometimes at risk of being pushed about, however it is uncommon for someone to feel negatively towards those who cast this patronus.

It is important to say that those with this patronus often have the most gentle souls of all.

This patronus is extremely rare and can be found in all houses but most common is Hufflepuff.

{ Alistair & Persephone }
Percy didn’t quite understand what led Alistair kissing her but the kiss left her mind in a haze. Her emotions swelled in the rapid change of her heart rate. A few moments passed on and Percy began to return the feverish kiss. At lips parting Alistair’s words were spoken in an inviting whisper—luring the girl in. She was almost like a moth caught to the fatal attraction of a flame.

They made for the doors. Down the stairs they went in a confusing drugged and drunken haze, finally ending up in front of the door to the Prefects’ Bathroom. Alistair led Percy inside by the hand, then locked the door behind them. Pushing her against the wall, he gave her another deep kiss. He was completely lost to sensation now. As if his brain had turned itself off for the night. Suddenly, his reputation mattered to him no longer. He had thrown all his cares to the wind.

Percy took full acceptance over the dominance Alistair possessed at the moment they entered the bathroom. Her back pressed against the cool marble wall that made shivers run up her spine—a sensation welcomed in pairing to the searing nature of the kisses shared. A pair of small porcelain hands held his shirt as the kiss continued to deepen. At their parting, a small trail of saliva connected them but still more was to come between the unlikely pair.

For at that moment they found a comfort in one another's embrace—each within their own reasons, though not completely the same thought in mind.

Half an hour later, Alistair found himself bent over the floor, panting. The sobering realization that he had just cheated on his fiance hit him with full impact. Suddenly, he felt wide awake, as if someone had just poured cold water over his face.

This was a mistake.

Laying flat against the ground beneath him Percy watched him very closely. She knew better to than to say anything—the way he acted confirmed that. His movements finally gave her a chance to sit upward which was greeted by a dull pain that lingered from their activities. A small gasp passed her lips in response to the pain but she tried to keep herself quiet—no longer wishing to cause any further upset to Alistair by it.

Alistair didn’t notice a thing. There was a painful throbbing in his head as he pushed himself up. Hastily, he grabbed his clothes and underthings and put them on. All the while, he spared Percy not a single glance. He did not know what to say to her either, so he simply left the room, eager to head back to the dormitories and finally put an end to this long, long night.

Meanwhile, Percy’s small hands began to pluck up the pieces of her clothes and quietly dressed when Alistair had finally left the Prefect Bathroom. Persephone’s tears flowed freely once more hugging her body as she leant forward fully dressed. She knew this had to be the end to whatever their relationship ever was now and it caused her heart to ache bitterly. It was freezing cold against the stone. Her aching heart slowed as she weakly pulled herself to her feet with a wobble. It was a quick effort to clean up any mess made—she wanted to make sure any trace of them being there together had been erased.

Before leaving she smoothed out the fabric of her clothes then stared at herself in the mirror. Percy cursed her appearance, from the tear-stained cheeks to the number of visible love-bites against her collarbone and neck. It was a reminder of what had happened between her and Alistair—a mistake made by Percy to go along with. After all, what kind of a friend was she to have slept with her friend’s fiance. Finally, it was time to walk back to the girl’s dorms room—something that made the girl think of a prisoner’s final walk to the execution block. It wasn’t as if she was to die, but oh how she wished she was dead at that moment.

Struggling towards her room she avoided any and all wandering eyes. She was quick to toss her clothes to the side and change into a fresh warm set of bedclothes. It was a relief to hit the bed and she wondered if she had to do anything the next day. The option of hiding away under her bed covers away from lingering eyes and the very presence of Alistair Blackbourne seemed the only comfort to her.

Jasper & Cyrus
Cyrus drew herself from bed that morning with a daring ambition to stir some trouble. Hurryingly dressing. Her routine started with the combing and braiding of her hair and finished with her slipping into a comfortable part of jeans and flannel shirt. In a quick pace she nipped out the door and down the stairs.

Jasper jumped down the last step into the Gryffindor common room, his hair dishevelled from sleep and clothes a rumpled mess. A quick tug at his clothes and a brush of his hands through his hair fixed that problem. He'd stayed up far too late the night before, doing a number of things he shouldn't have, he'd like to increase said list, this is...if his sister decided to show her face.

The youngest of the Grey siblings gave her brother a smirk, before stretching her arms out in front of her. Arm draping over her brother's shoulder with some effort. Damn when he have his last growth spurt? Was it overnight? Cyrus thought looking up at her older brother who had until recently been shorter than her. She had spent her entire life looking down at her older brother so now using her neck to look up hurt— her pride more than neck.

“So, how’s a game of cricket sounding this morning? I fancy a game, I think it’d be good fun to watch people with hangovers squirm.” Cyrus smiled devilishly looking towards her brother. They were two peas in a pod, though so different in personality. Rus was always happy to admit that too— she was loud and outspoken. Jas was more calculating but always up from some trouble. It was always their favourite pass time to play a game of cricket or prank some unfortunate housemate.

A slow smirk curved his lips as he looked down at his sister. “Finally decided to join the land of the living, little sister,” he said. He straightened up intentionally grinning wider at her, oh how he loves teasing his twin.

Cyrus let an inward groan left her lips at Jasper’s annoying jests. “Some of us just like the extra sleep, it’s been proven that a witch needs more sleep than a wizard. Thank you very much,” she defended herself remembering bad to a article she once read in the Wizarding Paper but in Australia. The paper was almost as informative as the infamous Grapevine, but she wasn’t about to tell her brother that.

“Well of course you do. How else would you possibly keep up us superior wizards,” he said in a teasing tone. He lifted his hand and messed up his sister's hair. “Now sis, I do believe we need to fix that aim of yours. Torturing our fellow students is simply an added bonus.” He freed himself from beneath her arm and gave her a push towards the exit.

“Ooooof!” Cyrus groaned at her brother’s burning insult. Rolling her copper brown eyes at his comment. “You’re such a dick in the morning— I hope you know that,” she said stumbling out the door. Listening to the Fat Lady’s failed attempts a opera singing upon her exit. That would be more painful to hear with a hangover, she thought with a scowling expression.

“My dickish charms are beloved by many, it's not my fault you're unable to appreciate it,” He said with a light laugh.

Upon entering the great hall Jasper scanned the gathered students, especially those who looked particularly horrible on this fine morning. He turned to his sister with mischief burning in his eyes. “Look at all these sorry saps,” he said in amusement. “It's time to cheer them all up with some good old cricket.”

Cyrus peaked around with her brother and cock a smirk. “I couldn’t agree more with you brother,” she chuckled evilly thinking of their devilish plans before skipping along to the Gryffindor table. Her hand catching a metal plater by the handle and flicking the food across the table. “Jas! I found a bat!” She cried out to her brother.

Jasper walked casually after Rus, his eyes catching sight of a bowl of fruit just as his sister announced that she'd found a bat. Glancing at said ‘bat’ made him grin in amusement as he scooped out an apple. “How convenient,” he said in a chipper tone as he turned to Cyrus. “Now sister, do try to hit,” he called as playfully, eyes dancing. Without any hesitation, he threw it right at her.

It was almost possible to hear Cyrus’s temper boil when her brother proceeded to tease her. Cyrus had always hated it, but pushing back her anger, she drew the service plater back with two hands and swung it into the apple. Connecting the metal with the apple and send the destroyed fruit flying in the direction of the Ravenclaw table. “Ha!” Cyrus poked her tongue out towards her brother.

Jasper laughed light, his sister was so easy to rial up at times. Though he could also at times. He let out a whistle as the apple soared off towards the Ravenclaw table, he was kind of hoping it would hit someone in the head. “Impressive, do it again,” he said, throwing another apple between his hand. He twisted, dramatically lifted his leg as his arm swung, sending another apple her way.

It was the second hit for Cyrus which happened to go flying over her brothers head and hit someone at the doorway. “Oh fuck!” she exclaimed with her face grow as white as a bedsheet.

Jasper turned to see what had happened, who she had hit. He grimaced at the girl and quickly went to his sister, taking the tray from her and shoving it into the first set of hands he saw. Which happened to be Joan his sisters best friend. “Ah fuck,” he muttered under his breath. For that apple had hit Sanguine Faust, right in the face.

Osuna

"The sea calls my name and I willingly follow thee"
Biography

c91e362973ac5208650c78e714f0e631.jpg
Born some years after the destruction of her parent’s homeland, Osuna was one of the first young born from a Mer couple.

She was distinctly different in appearance from birth—with a bluish-grey skin tone and hair the colour of light seafoam. Hands webbed, and fingers almost bony in shape rather than rounded. Her eyes are of a bright turquoise, white no pupil or white in them. Just the beautiful gem like hue.

Osuna’s name was derived from a location close to the Mediterranean Sea, due to it being homage of her parent’s original origin.

Her rank from birth was something levelled with poverty, and the environment of the surprisingly thriving Mer folk still held the customs of when they were human. Making it surprisingly difficult for the merl to rise through the racks. Although her lower life style compared to some—Osuna enjoyed the freedom some nobility didn’t even have in their own realm.

From a young age she found herself exploring the ruins of old Atlantis, a few whirl pools away from the current and newly instated “Atlantis” lay.

Throughout her life she’d practiced one talent that most definitely could have risen her social status due to her songspell abilities, and just the mere pleasant nature for her voice. Though, Osuna didn’t fancy the greed that came with rising her rank—nor the unhappiness.

At the age of fifteen was when the tragic events of her parent’s passing hit the girl. Now, she finds herself living in a shipwreck a stone throws away from the newly established kingdom. Most days she finds herself collecting artefacts and gizmos to sell in the markets of New Atlantis—the Empire under the sea. All the while waiting for something more to happen in her life, something that would give her more of a purpose that stealing a dead human's haunted items for sale.

  • At the moment I’m searching for partners that are willing to do a role play along with the universe of the Peaky Blinders (BBC series). Below I’ll leave a synopsis of the series and references to where I got the synopsis. I'm also willing to try something out simialir with OCs if someone isn't too familair with the series but thinks the plot is interesting.

"Peaky Blinders is a gangster family epic set in Birmingham, England in 1919, several months after the end of the First World War in November 1918. The story centers on the Peaky Blinders gang and their ambitious and highly cunning boss Tommy Shelby (played by Cillian Murphy). The gang comes to the attention of Chief Inspector Major Chester Campbell (played by Sam Neill), a detective in the Royal Irish Constabulary sent over by Winston Churchill from Belfast, where he had been sent to "clean up" the city of the Irish Republican Army (IRA), Communists, gangs and common criminals.[9][10] Winston Churchill (played by Andy Nyman in Series 1 and Richard McCabe in Series 2) charged him with suppressing disorder and uprising in Birmingham and recovering a stolen cache of arms meant to be shipped to Libya.[11][12][13] The series concludes on 3 December 1919 – "Black Star Day", the event where the Peaky Blinders plan to take over Billy Kimber's betting pitches at the Worcester Races." - Peaky Blinders, Wikipedia article.

Due to not being completely caught up on the series, I would prefer to start around the events of season one. Then go from there and expand on the story in more areas (either going off the canon plot) or (off-canon plot). I'm always welcome to changing the story up for the benefit of our characters and adding a bit of our own creative flare.

    Dear Reader/Fellow Searcher,

My name is Sophie, but you can call me Dust. I've been on Iwaku almost a year now and had many awesome experiences. From a few group role-plays, and a fair share of private role-plays. But, I still have a load of cravings and too much share time on my hands at the moment. So here I am. Getting myself out there the meet new people, and write with even more amazing people.
Recently, in the last month to be exact. I've finished my studies and currently stuck looking for work. But, also in that time while searching for work, I'm hoping to get into more writing to stop my mental demons from munching on my brain. So without further-a-do, I'll tell you a little more about myself.

    About Me:
    • I'm from Western Australia, so my timezone is GMT 8+
    • Been role-playing for about five-six years now.
    • Only willing to play a male role if someone doubles up. I feel much more comfortable playing females.
    • Comfortable with writing in first and third person - work more of a rather descriptive style of posting. So loves to make my partner feel like they're actually there in the scene seeing things through the eyes of my characters.
    • Enjoy rather long and detailed replies from my partner, makes writing a reply so much more fun!
    • I'm understanding- Life happens and it can be really crappy when it does. So if something happens, I'm not going to kick and scream. Just let me know. I'd extend that same courtesy.
    • OOC chats are one of my favourite things about getting new partners
    • My comfortable posting minimum is three well-written paragraphs. But, most posts end at the seven or eight paragraph mark.

Miss Townley - A formal way that people in Birmingham address her. Mainly people that don’t truly know her very well speak to her in this manner, but it doesn’t bother her much. Townley Family History:
Born on a respectably nice Autumn day in East Fremantle to a rather unknown couple from the rural town of York a couple of hours outside of Perth. Very shortly after the complicated birth of their youngest child, and only daughter whom they named; Dorothy Helen Townley. Raised to be a considerably normal child, between a faithful wife and an alcoholic husband that struggled with his liquor and debts. The family lived in the small shire of York, some hours travel from the city. Youngest of eight children meant Dorothy had a lot of proving of herself for her father that worked hard most days, and drunk heavily at night.

Though Dot’s father loved her, he had a funny way for showing it. Possibly because of his short temper and the rumours floating around that Dorothy was actually the illegitimate daughter of the police sergeant in the area. That had something against Ramsay Townley, and her mother sweet Alexi Townley. A child conceived by the sergeant when Alexi Townley was trying to bail her husband out of jail after a drunken brawl. After all getting her husband out called for a price.

Alexi has tried to keep Dorothy’s father a secret, and was truly lucky that her husband never questioned it. Truthfully, he already knew the pain his wife went to get him released from prison. Yet, he accepted Dot as his little girl and a Townley so she wouldn’t have any connection to the monster that harmed her mother. Though, Ramsay’s mother was another person despised Dorothy’s very existence. Dorothy’s grandmother was rather abusive to the only Townley girl, the bastard of the town’s police sergeant. Lucky the girl survived to see her homeland Australia officially become a country when she was the ripe age of six, as the elderly woman had made many attempts on her granddaughter’s life in the years before.

Spending more time with her brothers and father on the field. Dorothy formed a rather strong bond with Frederick (the eldest) and Eugene (third born) who knew of their half-sister’s parentage. The three eldest brothers knew too well about what had happened to their mother that night, and vowed the day their sister was born they’d protect her. That started with bringing her into the loop of their gang at a rather young age, so they could protect her fully, as well as their comrades. Before long she was hunting on her farm, and sitting in on important meetings regarding expansions and riots against the police. Her youngest known age for being arrested was then at eleven years of age, after the police busted her brothers at a meeting and noticed her sitting in. Reports on her criminal file first detailed the girl as a shy and timid girl, holding the sleeve of her eldest brother Frederick, refusing to speak on interview. This was the start of more troublesome behaviour with the girl.

Blossoming into a rose protected by harsh thorns (her brothers) Dorothy learnt many of many useful talents she had. Such as creating jam tin/jar bombs for raids, and attacks on places the Cut Throats planned. Servicing as a device to harm and lower numbers of rivals and police who were in the area at the time.

By the time seventeen rolled around Dot was a respected member of the “York Cut Throats”, taking a claim over bookkeeping, as well as, the job of being their sharp shooter. Her skills with a bolt-action rifle from a long distance couldn’t be trumped by anyone else, so she became their primary for assassinations. Her rate of crime had run aground when she had been found for first-degree murder in a serial number of offences, the charging officer that brought her in was her biological father. Said officer of the law proceeded to interview Miss Townley in a fashion till his measures became violent and he attacked the young woman. Reported gunshots were heard from the station, and when other officers investigated they found the man dead. The young woman in a state of distress and worse for wear.

To silence the Townleys’ and remove Dorothy from hanging other officers that felt pity for the young woman enlisted her to stay as a home for troublesome women. Where she was educated, and taught the workings of a high profile nurse. Something the young adult woman had no idea would come to use so soon after completion. At the first light of war, Dot was sent off to the Gallipoli on the Ottoman Peninsula. Where she nursed broken men, and saw her seventh and sixth brother slaughtered. Once more she went to making bombs out of tins, in hopes that she’d kill the Turk bastard that murdered her brothers.

After the withdrawal of Gallipoli, Miss Townley was moved to the Western Front. Believably broken by what she had seen in the bosom of the Turk’s lands. But then, she meet a kind soul a young soldier that held her heart, and taught her to smile even in the shitty situations the war gave. Quick in their engagement, they longed for the war to end so they would be married. Yet, fate didn’t wish for them to be together in such a way. Young Ralph Edward was killed in action. By the end of the war Dot’s family connection was broken, and her lover was gone so she decided to move to London in hopes for a new life. IN hopes to learn more about her dearly departed Mr Edward through his family, and the environment he used to live in.
    ---
    Brief Personality Traits:
Australian Mateship - A quality that became well-known by most soldiers that worked alongside Australians in the First World War. Dot holds the cultural idiom rather highly as it holds many values of importance to her, such as; equality, loyalty and friendship. As it's a new era, Dorothy hopes that the world would adopt more of the following values as it will hopefully give most an era of peace with that.

Larrikin - Dorothy Townley is noted to be a rather mischievous young woman. Often considered uncultivated by members of higher society, she’s seemingly rowdy when comfortable around the right people, but always has a good heart. But she is also referred to as the other common meaning, which is a hoodlum or rough gangster, due to her rather decorative history and mysterious current.

Endurance/Courage - The war tested many, and for the case of Dorothy it tested her level of courage and endurance because in most people’s eyes she was still a child. Though she has a very well build for tolerance when she was forcibly removed from her home in York, and thrown into a house for troubled young women so she could learn some skills that were of better use. During the time she was trained to be a nurse, it was the last thing the young woman wanted to do and she tried to desert her detainment a few times, only to be caught and punished later on down the track.

Her courage has come into play when times have been trying for her safety. This would include the time she was attacked by a drunk police officer in York, and she shot him dead after being dragged to the local hotel. Dorothy faced hanging until the true nature of the police office was released and she was sent away to a home for trouble young women. Her brothers helped instill a courage within her each time they were granted a chance to visit her.

Schmidt & Rosamond Family History: Respective families that had alliances going back decades. The English family of Rosamond and Austrian family of Schmidt, decided to join their families together with an arranged marriage. This was arranged at the birth of the youngest and only daughter of the Schmidt family, Bettina Valentina Claudia Schmidt.

Drawn up in agreement between Horace’s grandfather and Bettina’s parents, the two rather underground operating families agreed to expand their business relations through marriage. They were to be married when the young Schmidt girl turned seventeen. Till then, the two would marry to stop them from running or dispising one another.

On the 13th of July 1908, after much preparation Horace and Bettina married. The newlyweds were a sign of good luck between the two families so they partied, not truly caring if the pair loved one another. Bet was seventeen years of age, and her husband Horace was twenty-one so it made finding a level playing ground difficult to establish for the young couple. Even language was a barrier, and caused some emotional strain between the pair. But, doing at they must the marriage was rightly consummated, and about September 1908 shortly after the lonely young woman found out she was carrying her husband’s child, which made both families overjoyed.

While her first pregnancy Mistress Rosamond as her husband’s maids called her, learnt English slowly and weakly. Gaining more of her knowledge of her husband, and comfort in his company on the harder days. Most mornings she’d wake at the side of her husband caressing her swelling stomach, trying to soothe the child growing within her, hoping to allow it’s mother some more sleep. Though, Horace respectively worked hard on the family business, he worried for his young wife’s health and the risks that came with childbirth as it was still a risk even with the best aid they could afford.

By the following year, in the middle of April 1909 their first son was born after long hours of labouring. Horace named their first son Archibald after his late father. The exhausted young mother agreed, as long as, Gilbert became his second name. After her father whom died from influenza in the later stages of her pregnancy. As a couple they had gained more of a solid relationship through the birth of their first son, often doing their most to experience with the young boy they fondly called ‘Archie’ together.

Everything thrived with the booming family, and excelling business that the two families had worked so hard to maintain. Bet took her place at her husband’s side after the birth of their third son Septimius Vincent. As she felt that she was needed to assist her husband in opening up some further expansion plans for the family business. Which was when their first pleasure house was opened up in White Chapel, by the time their four and final son was born Julius Hiram whom was stillborn, Bet was struck by the brief of the loss after it had left her fighting for her own due to infection.

Horace felt his wife begin to slip away even after passing the infection, and recovering. Her grief had caused her to neglect looking after herself, and moving up in the family business. It took months of her state to improve, and then the officials came knocking on their town house door with an order to take Mrs. Rosamond into custody under suspicions of her being an Austro-Hungarian spy. Truth be told the young woman was cleared of not being a spy, yet was tasked a mission even her husband couldn’t know about. To spy on officials and check in on the general life in Austria throughout the war.

To others it looked like she was just being deported, and thrown away for good. Separated pained Georgiana, but the realisation that she was once more pregnant with her husband’s child made her commit to the course, and fight to protect the chance of going home to meet her love once more. Protecting her cover, one of her second-cousins stepped up and took the role of her husband in a chaotic time of Austria. Acting as her support, and companion in that time, even though she remained loyal to a fault with Horace.

Sending word rarely through to her husband, managing to get a letter with a photograph of her and their first daughter to him when she was born in February of 1915. Her daughter was raised in Austria much like her mother was, though when the war ended she went home with her mother to England. The reunion with husband, and sons was said to be something of her dreams one of the notable times she was seen sobbing in public. War had broken so many people, and it had robbed her husband of his ability to walk.

Moving to head of the Rosamond household at her husband condition, Bettina became a strong-minded figure. Loyalty never faltering from her family and the business. Though, since she had spent some time away from her young children, when she came home her sons struggled to reconnect with her. Which has caused resentment toward members of authority such as Mr. Winston Churchill. Henrietta fell into alignment with her siblings quite easily though, her brothers holding a sense of endearment towards their youngest sibling.

Horace was depressed from the war, and lost in the mindset of those days when he was able. A depression that almost lead to his suicide, but Bettina stopped him at the right time. Supporting her husband through his woes, and the struggles that he now faced many rich men began to approach her trying to take her under their wing as their mistress or lover. Yet, she refused. The grown woman of twenty-eight had her family and business to worry about.

Reaching out to the Peaky Blinders as a wish to push an Alliance, Bettina has offered herself at the disposal of Thomas Shelby in order to keep her unwell husband alive. Willingly doing whatever the Shelby brother wishes of her to do, much like she did at the age of seventeen with her husband ten years ago. To benefit her parents then, but now her husband and children.

    Personality Traits:

Loyal - It is a spoken trait of the Schmidt family that loyalty means everything. Bettina possesses this trait and it could quite possibly be her own downfall. If there was any dog that could explain the level of loyalty Bet held for her family and close friends it would be the German Shepherd. She’s always there for the people that need her in the lines of business and personal relationships.
A downfall of her loyal personality is that she has a bad habit of forming a bias for the people she cares about. Though, after time and energy in thinking through situation she’d often see the other side to the story.

Bettina often struggles with people that can’t grasp the importance of loyalty. In one of the views that really personally erks her is when a spouse, or lover can’t seem to hold a level of loyalty. Inturn people that she knows are like this aren’t respected by her.

Loving & Devoted - Love has what kept Bet alive throughout the war, in various ways. After the separation from her children after their father was taken to fight at war her need to get back to her children has truly shown through. Finding ways to get in contact with them even countries away from them, from morse code message on their birthdays through agents, cards and letters when their little sister was born. She found no matter the distance she’d do anything for them, making sure they were taken care of and watched by her workers.

Finally, at the war’s end Bettina took all the time in the world around her, trying to make up for the lost time with her children. Even if her debications to work called, the mother always made sure to have time with her family. Driving them out to the countryside on holy days, and having a picnic. Getting some assistance on those days to make sure her husband’s wheelchair could come along too.

During the long cold nights she stays by her husband’s side, speaking with him about his worries and fears. In the comfort of their own privacy in their bedroom. Soothing her husband lovingly when he crumbles with his fears and the thoughts about topic of discussion.

Bettina has accepted what has happened to her husband, and loves him no-less because of his condition. Nor will she ever let him feel that he’s a burden to her.

Business Orientated - From an early age, Bettina has been raised about the importance of Good Business, and how to keep that kind of business. Forming and solidifying alliances with other gangs and powerful people.

Originally she was believed to be a quiet observer by her husband’s side during the early days of their marriage. On some notable occasions with Darby Sabini apparent King of the Underground in London. Yet, she very quickly out-stepped those thoughts made by others. Becoming a rather ambitious rival that looked for alliances in many places, even the most unlikely. More impressively those business endeavours with the most unlikely have more often proved the most successful for the Rosamond Family.

Bettina’s charming wit, and surprising amount of scarcaims have also helped on many occasions with known sexiest. The business woman is more than happy to take her success as an example of what women can do outside of a kitchen or nursery. Or more blunty not lying in bed for their husband’s to please themselves with. She openly recognizes that this is now the time for change as women have proved themselves rather useful at holding up the fort during the war, why should they be tucked away in their kitchens again?

She hopes to make a larger place for women within the world, and the people she works around. Bet believes it's important for her daughter to know, and understand that she doesn’t have to be a simple house wife.

Intelligent - Gifted the highest and best education that Bettina could afford in a considerably wealthy family had its up sides. But not all of her intellect came from the education from schools, and professional tutors. From a young age Bettina learnt what he family business was, and how she could use that to her advantage in any background. Her adaptive personality has allowed her brain survive the worse of conditions, most of all back in the war.

She always holds more cards at her disposal, and uses them with great care which has been part of the reason she's respected by the paranoid Sabini, and hasn't had any trouble from them.

Mothering - Extremely capable at being a mother, Bettina from a young age helped people in Austria with delivering and raising their children before having any of her own. Now that she is a mother of her own, and a busy business woman, Bet tries to balance her life to be there for her children, often taking them with her when it came to travelling her children often stuck by her. Her eldest son has now begun to hand out some of her letters to people she wishes to meet along with his little sister Henrietta, often putting up that it was just children sending letters that their father or mother wants to pay off something. Giving her business a little more of an innocent face before the person reads the letter.

Outside of work hours she often enjoys spending time with her children in the country-side, having a picnic, or joyous times. When she or her husband aren't with her children they are all watched with respective body guards that she appointed after years of service, trust and loyalty. If those guards slip up she's more than happy to execute them herself to ensure the safety of their children.

Archibald is often in her company for business day now because of the fact he's the heir to the Rosamond legacy, yet Henrietta is also there so she learns that woman have just as much strength as men. It was the way her father raised her in Vienna, Austria as a child also.
Excellent Spy - As a young woman married into a family quickly in a foreign country, Bettina became quite the observer over time watching on from the distance. Never able to be detected when entering from room to room, the young woman seemingly would float through atmospheres rather nicely, able to observe and get information from her targets without them even noticing. Bettina's acting skills are also something that made the young woman in places of high class, to the lowest of class between the many roles she could play.
