"No." was all he said. With his Inner Ocean frozen he no longer had petty things like emotions. "they are not worth the potential danger to our persons." He looked indifferently at the flames, for they no longer held him captive. "Let's go back to the cave."

He turned to look at her, Not really caring what she thought but including her anyway, "the flames will burn the forrest but the cave has nothing that will catch." He turned and went back towards it, not seeing if she was following.

The confusion began to creep over her face as he blankly looked at her before he turned, though she did not question him and followed closely behind. The itch in her mind only grew as they wandered back down into the safety of her den before she could take it no longer. 'Why?' She asked him quietly.
He seemed... Good.
Good being he cared for the humans she did not. In a way she thought it was better that he decided against it as she wouldn't want to risk her life saving the very humans who had betrayed her kin. She turned back briefly to state down the narrow dirt corridor, feeling a strange urge to be with the dragon. Shaking her head she jogged to catch back up to Kanja, once again following closely behind him.

Kanja took a while to respond, mostly because it took him a while to realize that she had spoken. Why? He pondered, why what?

"Why what?" He asked her, for he could see nothing that would need an answer. Once again she confused him but this time he was also amused. He looked at her, a cold amused smile on his face. She was a funny girl, never making any sense. Her emotions so obviously controlled her, not the other way around like him. He could choose what he felt. Only the weak couldn't, he thought.

She dropped her head as he replied to her and fell back a few steps. She thought better then to offend him again by referring to him as 'more human'. Upon reaching her den she curled up in her coin pile and listened to the trembling if the world above her.

A dragon...?
'What should we do?' She asked Kanja, staring up at him. 'Should we serve the dragon again or...' The words caught in her throat but she didn't need to say them, she knew he'd know what she meant.

He watched as she curled on her makeshift bet of gold, he couldn't help but laugh at her. "No, why should we?" How stupid, he thought, why should he serve anyone? If anything they should serve him. Uh oh ,maybe he froze his Inner Ocean too much, He faintly mused. Than dismissed it, it was needed until the disaster was over. Although he did wonder if he would feel sorry for how he was acting when he retuned to his normal temperature. Probably.
