Don't have Ideas. Only potential inspiration. (M to my F anyone?)

  1. I have one singular plot and the rest is up for inspiration:
    HOPE: (Straight Romance)
    This rp starts out sad. Alex's girlfriend of several years dies of cancer. Heartbroken he begins down a dark road of alcohol and drugs, not realizing that his girlfriend's twin sister had been keeping up with him. And on the anniversary of her death she confronts him. Will these two grow close or will the fact that she has the same face as his dead girl friend drive a wedge between them?

    Two Sentences without Plots. Please help me be creative. I want to develop stories with them, but only ever come up with vague ideas. Bold ones are the ones that seem especially interesting that I may have an idea for.​

    I have to admit I’ve already fallen for him hard. But it’s harder to expect my feelings to be reciprocated when he exists only in the pages of a book.

    I never go to sleep. But I keep waking up.

    My wife woke me up last night to tell me there was an intruder in our house. She was murdered by an intruder 2 years ago.

    You wake up. She doesn't. ((Coma story maybe?))

    Ever spotted something out of the corner of your eye with the suspicion that someone was watching you? Ever seen half of a face staring back?

    She wondered why she was casting two shadows. After all, there was only a single lightbulb.

    The doctors told the amputee he might experience a phantom limb from time to time. Nobody prepared him for the moments though, when he felt cold fingers brush across his phantom hand.

    Old Prayers will spring to the unbelievers’ lips. But not until the Fallen Angel has taken her as his own.

    LAUREL (open)

    Name: Laurel Haliow
    Age: 22
    Height: 4'5
    Appearance: Laurel is a tiny fairy with dark navy colored hair--that she normally braids-- and grayish green eyes. Her clothes are usually made of vines, leaves and flower petals when she can weave them in. Her skin is fair but occasionally scarred in unnoticeable places, though thankfully not on her wings. Those resemble a dragonfly's and they are mostly transparent besides the ends, which are a shimmery azure color with hints of bright green. If she lived in modern times, we could say her chest is C cup and her waist is small along with her feet and hands. If you look close enough, there is a birthmark just under the right side of her jaw that resembles an inky teardrop.
    Personality: Laurel has always been a bit shy around others. She couldn't intimidate a mouse if she tried. Though she loves animals, she only ever sings and smiles around them. She doesn't have any close friends though, partly because of her strangely strong curiosity and partly because of her father, who is to blame for quite a few bruises and scars like cuts on her right shoulder, her right hip, her left arm and her back under her wings. The abuse he puts her through when she makes any little mistake has made her very cautious and afraid. She flinches and whimpers at things most don't, but has a surprisingly strong talent for healing. Too bad she can't heal herself no one really knows about it. When she'd brave enough to speak up softly, she is honest and compassionate, sometimes naive and even altruistic to a surprising degree.

    Brief history: Laurel is one of the very few children in the Glen who is an only child. Since her mother died in childbirth, she lives with her father, who uses her for most of the work in and out of the house that she is capable of. If she ever makes a mistake, which happens since she's a bit clumsy, she gets quite the punishment. If anyone knew, Treeimph would surely be incarcerated, but then she would be an orphan and as strange as it is, she loves her father. He is a wonderful man to everyone. Well, everyone but her.
    When she was little, he loves and took care of her wonderfully. He even pierced the tip of her right ear so she could wear her mother's three silver rings. But when she grew and started to look more and more like her dead mother, he resented her and took his guilt and rage out on her daily.

    Laurel likes to explore the outer reaches of the forest to meet her animal friends who love to hear her sing and watch her fly. all of them have been healed or rescued by her at some point. Sometimes, when the moon is full and she isn't exhausted, she goes out at night, making sure her friends are alright and trying to find the joy in her seemingly pointless existence.

    Name: Laura Sarah Kinney
    "You want me to express myself? Leave Me Alone!"
    Hero, Walking-the-line, or Villain: Walking-the-Line
    Age: 16 years old
    Appearance: Laura is 5'3 and probably still growing. She has shoulder-blade length dark hair and usually cold hazel eyes. They can look greenish in sunlight. She has a healthy, athletic build and is usually seen wearing combat boots and lots of black.
    Superhero/villain Origins:
    To start with Laura's story, it is best to start with her mother, Sarah Kinney. A scientist working for the latest incarnation of Weapon X, she was tasked with creating a clone of their arguably most powerful invention - Wolverine. This time, however, they wanted him controllable. Seeking to take the project in a new direction, the project's director, Doctor Martin Sutter, recruited renowned mutant geneticist Doctor Sarah Kinney and tasked her with creating a clone. The cloning process failed, over and over again, until Sarah noticed one thing happening when the clone was attempted - the Y chromosomes were interacting poorly with the process. When that chromosome was removed entirely from the process, it succeeded. That marked her 23rd try. But they needed a human to carry the cloned fetus. Sarah Kinney volunteered, and carried X-23 to term.Without the Y chromosome, however, the new clone was born a female, named with the designation of 'X-23'. Her early life was far, far different than most. She was treated as an animal. By the time she could talk, she was bombarded with languages and schooling, and from the time she could walk, taught how to fight. Most of her martial arts training was under a man known only as 'Sensei'. When she wasn't being trained, exercised, or fed, she was kept in a featureless metal room, and those around her were ordered not to interact with her.
    That wasn't to say people didn't bend the rules somewhat. Sarah, having a bit of conflicting motherly feelings for the girl, would often sneak in and read bedtime stories to the girl, and X-23's Sensei taught, and spoke to her only in Japanese, and would generally, through language alone, treat her like a human being instead of the cold, impersonal language he was ordered to use.The Company did not approve. But their disapproval would wait for later. Once X-23 was around eight years of age, in fact, they grew impatient of waiting for their 'new weapon'. So Doctor Zander Rice had X-23 subjected to radiation poisoning in order to accelerate the activation of her mutant gene to see if she did follow in her 'father's' footsteps. Sarah viciously disapproved, but it was done anyway.
    Luckily for X-23 and Sarah, Laura survived the process, following along with her genetic donor's powerset to gain regeneration, and claws. The feminine aspect to her genetic manipulation made for an odd setting of claws, however - one in each foot, and only two in each hand. All the while, Weapon X was developing a 'trigger scent' to infuriate the girl, using associative psychological techniques to let the scent spark a rage in her.The first trial of it was on her Sensei. Having known that he was disobeying their orders to treat her like a thing, they had her kill him, then brought in a new trainer/handler. Kimura. An invincible woman, she could not be cut by Laura's claws. Her training continued.When she was far too young for such things, about 12 years old, they started sending her upon missions. Her first was the assassination of a high-profile politician. Greg Johnson. That was just the start. Sending her on increasingly higher and higher risk missions, members of the project started seeing the ability to use X-23 for their own monetary gain. Rice manipulated her the most. Subjecting her to the adamantium process at the age of eleven. He wanted to torment and torture the young girl, and when Sarah realized that Rice was starting to use the trigger scent to send X-23 to kill his higher-ups so that he could take charge of the project, she panicked.
    Rice even abandoned X-23 on a particularly dangerous mission, but she survived against overwhelming odds and managed to return to the facility. Ultimately, Rice persuaded Sutter to hand over control of the program to him, then secretly ordered X-23 to kill Sutter and his family. Later, Rice revealed to Sarah Kinney a chamber with dozens of incubation pods containing female clones before he fired her. Before fleeing the facility with X-23, Kinney gave her one last mission - destroy the pods and kill Rice. She succeeded, but Rice was able to exact revenge on Kinney from beyond the grave. X-23 discovered, too late, that the trigger scent had been used on Sarah - she was the next target. Flying into a rage, she murdered her mother figure. Another little piece of her died. Searching Sarah's body, she discovered a letter to her that gave her a name. Laura.


    X-23 surfaced in New York City two years later and was found living on the streets by a pimp named Zebra Daddy, who took her in and employed her as a prostitute. During her time as a prostitute, X-23 seemed to suffer from a self-mutilating disorder. She superficially cut herself with her own claws whenever she was alone and in emotional distress. She also seemed to suffer some personality issues which left her mostly mute and unable to free herself from the grip of Zebra Daddy. X-23 started to come to her senses after she met Kiden Nixon, a young mutant with the ability to freeze time when in danger, and together with Kiden's teacher, they rescued another young mutant, the feral Catiana, from an angry mob. Zebra Daddy tracked X-23 down, but with the aid of her new friends and the mutant named Felon, Zebra Daddy's thugs were defeated. X-23 then killed him to save the lives of her friends. After her mutant friends left together to find a safer place away from New York, X-23 later took a job at the mutant-themed Wannabees nightclub in New York.

    1. Regeneration: Sharing in her "father's" ability, Laura has enhanced regeneration. It works fairly fast, with minor cuts clotting and closing up in seconds. More major cuts and flesh wounds heal in minutes, and things like broken bones mend themselves in about 10 minutes depending on the injuries.
    2. Foreign Chemical Immunity: X-23's natural healing also gives her the virtual immunity to poisons and most drugs.
    3. Disease Immunity: Due to her highly efficient immune system, X-23 is immune to all Earthly diseases and infections.
    4. Superhuman Acute Senses: X-23 possesses incredibly enhanced senses that are comparable to those of certain animals. She is able to see at much farther distances, and with near perfect clarity, than an ordinary human. She retains this same level of clarity in almost complete darkness. Her sense of hearing is enhanced in a similar manner, allowing her to both hear sounds that ordinary human's can't and to hear sounds that ordinary humans can, but at much greater distances. X-23 is able to use her highly developed sense of smell to track targets by scent with an impressive degree of success, even if the scent has been eroded by natural factors, such as the weather.
    5. Superhuman Stamina: X-23's muscles produce a considerably less amount of fatigue toxins during physical activity than the muscles of an average human. She can exert herself at peak capacity for about 24 hours before fatigue begins to set in.
    6. Superhuman Agility and Reflexes: X-23's agility, reflexes, balance, and bodily coordination are enhanced to levels that are beyond the natural physical limits of even the most accomplished human athlete.
    7. Enhanced Strength: Laura enjoys the blessing of enhanced strength. While not nearly as powerful as Wolverine, she is getting stronger and stronger as she grows older. This helps her to jump higher, run a fair bit faster, and lift far more weight than her build and gender would suggest. If she wanted to push the limits of her ability, she could bench press about 500 pounds - but would feel far more comfortable carrying and pushing about 350.
    8. Claws: A pair claws in each hand, and a one in each foot. The claws are about eight inches in length in her hands, and about six to seven inches in her feet, curved at one end, and retractable, going back into or out of her arms or feet as she needs them. They've been coated in Adamantium, something the rest of her skeleton hasn't been subjected to. Let's hope they never get a chance to finish the job.
    1. Broken bones can set in the wrong place. For example, if she has broken ribs that have been moved or jarred around, they will heal themselves too quickly and may end up crooked or in the wrong place. In that case, she would have to re-break them and set them appropriately so they can heal again. Her regenerative power can be overloaded, perhaps by being shot many, many times in a short period of time. When that happens, she loses consciousness, and drops into a fugue until her body stabilizes itself, and heals any major organ damage that occurs. The drawbacks to this power aren't too many, but she does tend to eat a heck of a lot more than your average person, particularly if this system was given a workout.
    2. She can be affected by some drugs, such as tranquilizers, if she is exposed to an extremely large dose.
    5. If her stamina is used to the max for more than 24 hours and she does not collapse out of exhaustion, her muscles will most likely be very sore byt he time she sleeps and wakes again.

    8. Because of these razor-sharp claws, getting through metal detectors at airports and the like is a real pain, and each time they cut through her skin when she 'draws' them, it stings.

    9. Also, because of the adamantium in her hands and feet, she cannot swim very well at all. But she can sink. Not good.

    Induced Berserker Rage: She has also been subjected to conditioning in which a specific "trigger scent" has been used to send her into a berserker rage, killing anything in sight. This can be seen as a strength or a weakness, depending on what side of things you're on. Very few things short of knocking her out can snap her out of this state while the scent is around, so she can hardly control herself and is not conscious of her actions. As a result, she is usually bombarded by intense feelings of guilt after this rage wears off.

    • Can speak English French and Japanese, fluently. May be able to speak others, but with much less mastery.
    • X-23 is an expert tracker. Because of her enhanced sense of smell she can track almost anything and anyone, and has memorized many different scents.
    • Raised in captivity, due to her extensive training as a top-secret operative, X-23 has been trained to become a living weapon. She is highly trained in the use of long range weapons and explosives, and is an expert in assassination techniques.
    • She is excellent at hand to hand combatant, with intensive training in numerous armed and unarmed martial arts techniques.

    Personality: Kitty is a thief. Plain and simple. She steals, not for the fame from warnings on TV claiming she's the best thief Titan as ever seen, not for the fear or paranoia she causes, but for the fun. For a challenge. Part cat and all rebel, Kitty Meerka is always curious about what kind of people find what kind of things valuable and so when she has the chance, she gets past the best security she can find. With her wit, courage and fiery attitude she can get past anything they throw at her. And she always lands on her feet. Of course people call her a villain, but hey the world can think what the world wants to think. If it weren't for the fun of staying in the shadows, she'd blow a kiss at the camera. And don't let her height fool you. Underestimate Alley Cat, and you'll never be sorrier.

    Abilities: Her name says it all. Kitty has the black tail and ears, fangs and claws that give her the name of Alley Cat. Without her incredible flexibility, retractable claws and useful tail, her heists would be way more difficult. Her DNA is infused with the instincts of a feline so her reflexes are quick, her legs are strong, she can see in the dark and her black, furry ears pick up everything she needs to hear and then some.

    Clara used to be a very stubborn young girl with dreams and optimism shining in her large eyes. She wasn't afraid of anyone or anything and if you gave her a dare, she did it. No matter what it was. But ever since she was imprisoned by him, she's been broken into submission. A process that took three long years until she became jumpy, timid and miserable. The girl you'd see now inside the Diabolus Manor is compassionate and altruistic, but afraid and cautious. She was transformed and beaten into a shell of a girl who takes the hit for every time the Master tries to hurt her fellow prisoner. She's protective, but now, that little boy is the only reason she has a will to live.

    Food that doesn't make her throw up, getting a blanket, bandages, clothes,...and music (though she only gets that if she sings soft enough)

    The Capture:
    A young, thirteen year old brunette smirked and looked up. There it is. The Diabolus Mansion. Her friends finally gave her a more creative dare than licking the bathroom doorknob. Her right high top sneaker stomped into the dirt twice. That was the signal her friends had discussed. She knew the boys were watching through binoculars in the bushes or something. She could hear Tubby Timmy breathe from his inhaler and all her other buddies snickering and debating whether she was gonna do it. Timmy was nervous, but Clara wasn't scared. Never was, never will be. What's so scary about some shadowy house with a rusted gate? Nothing, that's what. She has to get in, stay in for for at least 5 minutes and get out. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.
    Being a bit tomboyish, she has yet to admit that she's started her period and still runs around and climbs trees and plays kickball with all the kids in the neighborhood, mostly boys. So she's a skinny little thing and her bravery is probably more pride and ignorance than actual fearlessness, but the fact that she squeezed through two of the bars onto the property of Diabolus Manor tells you just how stubborn and cocky she can be. She showed off by kicking one of the bars she got past, listening for the gasps of the boys in the bushes while flecks of rust fluttered to the earth. Hands on her hips, she started forward. It was real shady in there even though it was summertime and she had to walk for a little while before she even saw the front entrance. It looked like something out of one of those crappy horror films her older brother watches with his friends when he thinks she's in bed and her parents are out. The grass and flowers were dead and mushy on the outsides of the dirt path. Or at least, she thought it was a dirt path. She could hardly see her shoes in the weird fog that looks like the stuff (dry ice?) the neighbors put out on Halloween, her favorite holiday. Clara gulped. All of a sudden, this dare didn't seem like that great an idea. Suck it up! It's not that scary! She tried to convince herself and trekked forward, among the dead trees and strange creaks of the old house. In her peripheral vision, a shadow slipped just out of view. She was close to the doorstep now. Had it been 5 minutes yet?
    "I'm not scared. I'm not scared. I'm not--"
    But aren't you?
    Clara gasped and whirled around. She could have sworn that whisper was right by her ear. Goosebumps rose along her pale skin and the hairs on the back of her neck stood on end.
    "Who's there?! Johnny you better not be playing tricks!" She yelled, sounding braver than she felt.
    You could call me...Master.
    And then everything went dark. She could have sworn there was a struggle...or a scream, but it's all fuzzy now.
    The boys went home when it started to get darker outside. They thought to tell the parents, but were afraid they'd get in trouble. When the cops showed up later that night, Clara's friends promised not to say anything, cuz they might get arrested!

    And then she was gone. It's been three years.

    She has many bruises and cuts, mostly scars and not all of them are external. The most obvious pink and white scars include thick lines on her stomach and her back and some on her legs. There's one really thin one that Master made sure didn't kill her. Right across her throat. It's so she knows she's a prisoner and she'll never escape.

    MARIGOLD (open)

    Name: Marigold
    Race: Tellurian
    Age: 15
    Personality: Marigold is usually is a very cheery player. She teases others often and generally tries to keep the atmosphere lifted, not so heavy and oppressive as it becomes when bad things happen. The little fox girl is very compassionate (helpful to heal those in need,especially with her magic) and observant most of the time, but she does bite if provoked. She is a beneficial ally and vicious fighter. If she is ever sad or teary, you know something is wrong. Marigold is brutally honest, sometimes sarcastic and tough. Though you'll usually see her hyper and optimistic.
    Weapon: claws, teeth and a dagger she calls Fang
    Other: Shifting into a fox is fun!

    That's all I got. Like I said, original stories are really hard for me to come up with. Fleshing out once something once it is laid before me really helps. You can read my preferences and hopefully I'll have some takers on these little tidbits of inspiration.
